Just popping in for a second and I see we have a new thread (thanks so much Steve - we really filled that one up in a hurry) AND an eagle sitting in the egg cup!! Oh my, could something be happening??? I should be in a math class right now (classes just switched) but I think I will sit her for just a minute or two and watch Miss Belle!!

Going to do our morning walking, do a little house straightening and then outside? Another beautiful day coming up. Already 63. Think we are going to paint the picket fence around the herb garden. Started that last year but never finished the job. Not fun! Need to replace it with a white plastic fence!😝
I am so excited and ready to go on a trip. Maybe next month. I told Jack yesterday I want to travel with Skippi. He has always said no as he did not want a cat box in the trailer. Yesterday he was open to the idea!! Yea! I think she will travel great. We will just have to take a short trip to try it out. So excited!

Eagle calls
Have finished walking. Eagles in the tree the whole time as we heard calling out many times. Jack says eagles should have a more elegant call. lol He says the rs hawk has a better call. What does he know? Also, think I heard hp in the attic one time, a different call and wing flapping.
Now to attack my hair and do a little inside.

Wow, I just walked by in time to see a big camera bump---assume an eagle just landed or took off. It makes it look like an earthquake is shaking the nest. Have sure heard a lot of eagle talk today.

They both flew out very quickly and within the next minute one was back and had something to feed on - our other eagle arrived and I swear it looks like black feathers - you think they caught a crow! They are both having a feast!

Thanks for the running commentary on our eagles' activities today. I wonder if that juvie eagle is still around and serving as more of a distraction this week than last?
Belle doing a lot of eating in the nest is a good sign.
Jenni has an appointment with the vet after school today. I want him to take a look at the tumor in her mouth that he found back in August. To me it looks like it has grown; then again, I never saw the tumor when he did the first surgery on it b/c the vet didn't find it until Jenni was under anesthesia for her dental 6 months ago.
Will check in this evening and hope to find an eagle planted in the nest for the night.

Thought I'd drop in and say howdy.
Not much happening here--except it's supposed to get up into the high 80s Wednesday through Saturday this week--yikes! I just don't understand what's happening with our weather.
We do have some house finches and a pair of Black Phoebes making nests under our house eaves. Will let you know when I hear baby birds.
Ken bought us a nice big tomato plant, with lots of flowers on it. Hope we soon have tomatoes!!
Need to fix lunch. Will check in again tonight. Have a great day!

It has been quite a day at the Sycamore Palace. Eagles come and eagles go. Still no egg.
They have one more hour left to come in for the night! There was a video
after dark that you could see their
white feathers in the nest but of course they flew off.
Will be dark soon. It has gotten colder and there has been a bit of rain here. Snow showers in the forecast for tonight and tomorrow morning.
Hi all - home from the vet with great news about Jenni! He said the tumor in her mouth has grown very little if any at all! There is no sign of loose teeth around the tumor, no bad breath, and no sign that the tumor is ulcerated or infected. I am soooo relieved!
So, it seems that yet another day will go by without an egg from our eagles. In their own time ...

Puddy did just fine, broken tooth out, stitches in, canned food only for next 7 days. Poor baby, don't know HOW she'll stand it! She also had a nipple/lump removed. There has been a slightly enlarged nipple for about a year but it's gotten a bit bigger and had some discharge today so they took that out. Not expecting any bad news.
Steve on phone with his mom. She fell on the ice in the driveway today and hurt her arm pretty badly. Great. There is not supposed to BE ice, the landlord is supposed to be taking care of it!!!! I've got one unhappy hubby.....
Oh my, so sorry, Lynne2. I hope Steve's mother is okay. Wondering what tomorrow is going to bring here. Really not supposed to be cold enough for ice.
The kitchen cabinet has been put back up. I stayed out of the way. Of course, there will be plenty for me to do. Someone has to put all of those dishes back in the cabinet.

We are having another rainy, windy, cloudy and cold day here today. My live cam has been on all morning. Sounds very windy at the nest. 1 eagle still in the nest.
Well, now that is two times I have seen. Maybe that is what they have been waiting for. Hopefully no snow is predicted in your area.
Lag time between the 2 cams is longer then usual. My live feed is staying up a bit longer
Belle is up now and digging the egg cup deeper......
