Lynne, a rescue volunteer visited. We have agreed to another two weeks with further strategies to integrate. We do not expect significant change. This is a very sad time for us.
Didn't get LOLLY's e-mail with ANDY's number til' early this a.m.. Life with the dogs intervened yesterday---Julie and Hugh picked Malcolm up at 9:30 last night---late night for Penny so we slept in til' 8:30 this a.m.. My plan is to start calling our California gal at 2pm EST--will report "if and when"!
Got to see most of Downton--am enjoying this season as much as ever! What writing!
SANDI, you're not alone with your disgust for cheaters!
JUDIE, hope the next two weeks will be turnaround time for the cats. If they won't fit in with you and DARTH, where in the world will they? Hmmmm, hmmmm, nothing like good Buffalo and slaw on Superbowl Sunday! Beats my grilled cheese sandwich supper!
Oh, sorry, STEVE, thanks for the much needed new thread and thanks too to our beautifully be-feathered LYNNE1.
Praying for baby Elliot, parents and all the Lennox clan, JO!
Will be back later and hopefully with word on ANDY.....
Oh, and what a shocker---that pesky PA groundhog predicted 6 more weeks of winter! Can you believe it? A bit more snow and lots more ice here today as last nights rain just froze when temps plummeted. Not to get about 15 today--wind chill makes that a stay inside day for Penny n' me.
Thank you Steve for the fresh new thread - I just walked in the door from having blood work done and you had answered my wish for today! Thanks again for all the time this past Saturday that was spent on fixing the Live Feed. Incidentally, I really think our 1st egg should be in the nest any day now.
Power Port: this eliminates getting stuck with all the needles for blood samples and is the means for receiving the Chemo. It isn't giving me any trouble like infections or discomfort. So as a "Just in case" it needs to be flushed every 4 weeks. In 3 months I go for MRI and CT. Then we'll talk about removal of the port. TODAY was a first for my port = they were able to get my blood samples! I had begun to think that my right side was bloodless! lol
This is a repeated request for those just coming onto the blog:
This afternoon Jenny will be driving Aaron and Val and her grandson Elliot down to their hotel reservation in DC right near the hospital. Hernia Surgery is scheduled for 9:30AM as long as preop checks him out - a stuffy nose could mean a reschedule date. Prayers & Positive thoughts please for successful surgery and complete healing. Thank you friends.
Good morning! Prayer Jo, ìfor baby Elliot! Great nephew, Deacon, was going to have surgery late December, rescheduled for late January, and now no schedule until he is clear of a cough. He turned one in December. He is the one born with two fingers fused together. Surgery will be hours long. They live 500 miles south in the Valley, but surgery will be done in Dallas by a pediatric specialist. I will be going over. Momma Jana has family up here too, so they will have lots of support. My brother, Grandpa Larry, will be keeping older son, Reece while they are up here.
27 this morn, now up to 33. Not doing anything outside today. Going to start on cleaning closets. This time doing more extensive getting rid of "stuff". Laurel says all dolls should go, except for her two Madame Alexander dolls. That is harder on me than her. lol. So, into bags go a lot of dolls for her to have a future garage sale, a lot of Barbie dolls and clothing. Should have had a granddaughter!
Have a great day! Will do cam watching as we do our "walking".
whew, I had a bad weekend. Somehow got a stomach bug or ate something bad. No vomiting but very VERY nauseous, diarrhea, fever and SO MUCH PAIN!! Pain in every joint in my body! It was terrible! I rarely get sick like that. Felt better yesterday, better today too but still not 100%.
Judie, I am so sorry about the too shy kitties. Do not know what you have planned, but highly recommend very young kitties that are affectionate from the beginning!
Ashley's new kitty should be named Billy instead of Axl. As in Billy for Beverly Hillbilly! 😜. He is an all black kitty who apparently had an extremely bad first weeks. His tail is knotty and curved from breaks and missing several teeth. However, he is very friendly and affectionate and follows Ash everywhere! Now he is living the life of luxury In upscale Dallas.
Flash freeze here today. Snowed all day yesterday, then rained all night, snow flurries by mid morning and temps down 12 degrees in last 4 hours. Needless to say, I'm staying put.
LYNNE1, you've described our weather in a nutshell. Daughter, Eileen, in Grand Rapids, MI, reports 10 inches of snow, school closings, sub-zero temps... Most of our weather seems to come at us from the West along the I70 corridor, but this thing swung down from the upper Midwest and right on over to you in PA!
LYNNE2, so sorry you had the flimgudgins of the flip and felt discomfagaffagated! No fun. It is fun for us to see both our dear LYNNE's posting at the same time!
LOLLY, let us know when Deacon heads for surgery--we'll be praying along with you, just as we are for Elliot and the Lennox family right now!
I'm just itching to make that call to ANDY, but feel it prudent to wait til' it's 11 a.m. out there. One more hour.
Hi Lynne2. Very sorry you were so sick. Stomach cramps and associated flu symptoms are just horrible.
Lynne2, I'll make the response brief. Adopted two older sibling Siamese six weeks ago. Their adjustment has not gone well. Two more weeks were agreed upon. I am trying not to discuss this on the blog as others seem to be sooooooo very successful. We are sad.
Wind blowing the Sycamore Palace all around. Nest just swaying and swaying. Hope the wind/storm will hurry on away.
ANDY didn't pick up so I left a detailed message regarding our concern and asking that she post here, or e-mail one of us, or give me a call. There are a couple of e-mails out to her from others, so now I guess it's just wait n' see. Nail biting time. Hope they're on vacation, tho' with 80 degrees in Anaheim today it's hardly a place one must escape from!☺
Hi all. Checking in from school and I see we have a new thread. Thanks Steve!
Good to see Thing 1 and Thing 2 on this new thread!
Prayers for Little Elliot for a smooth, successful surgery tomorrow morning.
Lynne, if you are running Windows 7, you should have a snipping tool. That's what I use for screen captures. I forget how I used to do them when I had my desktop with Vista, but Judy will be able to give you the scoop.
Kay, thanks for trying to contact Andy. I bet they are just busy.
Still raining here and very windy - yucky weather. How could than damned groundhog see his shadow today???? I don't believe it - I think they just make this stuff up!
SANDI, remember the groundhog(s) reside in LORI's hometown. Perhaps she could give us the straight skinny on just what happens with those critters. Of course, we've all seen Bill Murray and Andie MacDowell in Groundhog Day, so I guess we have a pretty accurate picture of just what occurs there on Feb. 2nd. ☺
oh my...that was AMAZING!! I'm at work on reg. computer and it seems to me that I used to hit print screen and then paste into paint? Good bye brain cells...JUDYE HELP!
If anyone is interested in checking this nest out it's
Jenny just called from DC and they are safely at the hotel and didn't have but a few cars to honk at them for going so cautiously and a little slower then the normal DC traffic!
Hello EagleBuds! Quite entertaining football game yesterday. My faves lost. I didn't get to see any new commercials or entertainment, as the "button pusher" kept switching to a boxing match!!! YUCK!
Prayers for little Elliot. Hope he was able to get fixed up today.
Lynne2, hope you're feeling better. I have pretty much forgotten the "20" steps to get a screen capture (written down somewhere) as we have the new WONDERFUL SnipIt tool now. Great to see Paula and everyone else. Lolly, it's 50° here, sunny, but wind is making it very chilly!
Put my blurry nest pics in the Nook. But you can sort of tell what's happening!
Paula, good to see you. So you're lookin' at real estate on the Gulf in Mississippi, eh??
Lynne, I tried right clicking on a photo I found online, then copying, then opening Paint, and clicking on Paste at the top. Then you can save the image as a .jpg file. Hope that helps.
Boy, is it windy here! NWS has issued a flash freeze warning because there is so much standing water from the rain we got and the temps are dropping so fast.
My live cam has been running for 33 minutes now - haven't had to reload the page once. Still one eagle in a windy nest, trying to stay put!
hope everyone who is ill feels better....and that all are well.
when we went to bed last night, it was 50 degrees. when I got up this morning, 29 and has wavered between 29 and 30 all day. snow flurries this morning.
had my yearly physical. so far so good. nothing to report. that's a good thing.
its been a quiet day; a good day to stay in. I've gotten the house cleaned and laundry done. dogs have had nailed trimmed, ears cleaned, and teeth brushed.
things are very quiet here. not a lot going on. going to fix dinner, then stick my nose in a book.

Worked on the closet in Michael's room today. Had piles for trash, piles for Laurel's garage sale and a pile for stuff I just can NOT part with. Will go through that pile again years from now or just leave it for Michael to find. Will work on that closet again tomorrow! On a roll!

Jenny just called and Elliott has gone back for his surgery. She said it would take about an hour. She will call when he comes out of recovery. I think I awoke every hour on the hour throughout the night
Elliot is out of surgery and in recovery & surgeon is very pleased. He did good AND he had 2 hernias One on each side (This is very common) They will monitor him for a few hours before releasing him... But the anxiety has lifted from our hearts. Thank you friends for getting me through this - love you all!
Good morning! So glad everything went well for Elliot! God bless him! Hoping he mends fast!
Have read the paper and scanned fb. Now to get with the day! More attacking closets today! Did a good job yesterday. My aim is to have more space in closets for Christmas decorations, so nothing goes into the attic.

Judie, did you ever report what the rescue folks suggested for your too shy kitties?
Good morning, again.
Thank you Steve for the fresh Monday thread.
Do you think you could deliver an egg, also? lol

Not much planned for today. May take care of some laundry and start another book. Good things to do on a rainy day.
Chose Downton Abby last night preceded by Poirot and Holmes.
Dinner was Buffalo shrimp and Buffalo chicken, Cole slaw.
Maybe Belle and Shep will check the weather channel and decide today is a good day.
Jo, take care traveling around your valley this afternoon.
Safe travels for baby Elliot. Early arrival is a very, very good idea.

Back from PT. Need to go soon to pick up Hunter and take him to an appointment.

Hey Lynne, how are ya? Is Puddles behaving?
Judie...maybe break out some catnip ? :)
Wonder if that's a Love token???? ♥♥♥
I am watching that EAGLE!
Off to the right...with the vittles.
Eagle poofed! Certainly is windy at the cam!
The nest certainly looks ready! High rails and very comfy...by eagle standards! Lots of flugg!
Puddles? BEHAVE? ROFLMBO!!!!!
I think the squirrel who stole flugg from the Codorus nest is now lunch......

AW,aren't they adorable all snuggled up?
Yup, I see em!

Have a great day!
Good morning to all ♥
Jenny just called and Elliott has gone back for his surgery. She said it would take about an hour. She will call when he comes out of recovery. I think I awoke every hour on the hour throughout the night
Thanks for backing me up! ♥
Good Morning Eagle Buds!!!
JO, darling little Elliot is in my prayers at this very moment!
On my way soon to pick Malcolm up for Doggy Play Day since it's as dry and ice free around here as it's likely to get for the rest of the winter.
Will be lurking and checking for word on Sweet Baby as well as news of an egg in the nest! Also hoping for word from ANDY.
Love and prayers for all in need.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
With you JO.
Baby Elliott prayers.
Candle lit.
Perfect day for that egg to have been in the egg cup~! I was really hoping -
It is 22° with clear skies and NO wind.

Praise the Lord
Elliot is out of surgery and in recovery & surgeon is very pleased.
He did good AND he had 2 hernias
One on each side (This is very common)
They will monitor him for a few hours before releasing him... But
the anxiety has lifted from our hearts.
Will be monitoring the cam! Yea for iPad!
Email from Cornell that Owls are hatching

so happy he did good
So very very happy that my little man did well. Blessings to his Mom and Dad and all the grandparents
who are there ♥
Jo, grateful that Elliot made it through surgery just fine!
Yup, Larry did some fishing in MS...caught some speckled trout.
Live feed is better today...less wind.
I guess the wind is the culprit making the live feed act up!
Mine has been up most of today.
Take care down there - hope Nick is still doing well!
