I know I haven't said a lot lately. its just been same stuff different day. work. home school. cook dinner. do dishes. clean up. get ready for the next day.
today Olivia had her first hooping (as in hula hooping) class. I have her set for 2 x a month. we'll see how long this lasts.
new thing: get to make our own hoops out of pvc pipe. sigh. tom will LOVE this.
it can be covered with duck tape. t here are many designs and colors now.
feel like i'm chasing my tail most days. I think the days getting longer is helping me feel better though.
been reading a lot.
hope everyone is well. I am here lurking. watching, waiting for the precious egg(s) to come....
Need to go to the hardware store and get some more shelf supports before I get the dishes back in the cabinet, Jo. Some supports are missing. I think they came loose because everything was catawampus in the cabinet. One of the doors wouldn't close properly even after they put the cabinet back up. I did fix that with a screwdriver. One of the hinges was loose.
I can see nothing on the live cam. I can hear nothing on the live cam except wind.
I agree with folks who say we will see Belle stay in the nest all night before we see an egg and that didn't happen last night. I could be wrong. Maybe today.
Busy morning started with no internet! Gah~ Today is our 100th day of school. Maybe Belle will have an egg for us this morning! Not sure if she spent the night in the nest or not. Anyone? Still dark outside at my house. Guess I should do some work while I wait.
The consensus was that at complete dark the Eagles were not in the nest. They arrived for a visit yet reports are they did not spend the night. Last I read they poofed.
Thanks Hoda. He is good. Was discharged last Thursday. He got 4 units of blood. His Hemoglobin was 3.9 when he was admitted to the hospital!!!
His cancer has grown slightly with the addition of a new lymph node involved (we found that out before Christmas)but he is in good spirits and ready to attack it again! :) He starts chemo again today. He has been off chemo for over a year, which gives it a better chance of doing something. We are hoping for shrinkage and no new tumors.
I can just see the branches coming in view now My computer did a update last night and was off when I got up and ODD the typing is so faint when I type like I need a new ribbon will have to check that out when I get home the nest loos MT
I see that dawn's early light brought us an MT nest without a hint of Eagles nearby. And I really thought she looked ready yesterday afternoon. Will be out for most of midday but I'm sure several of you will keep watch.
OK she took off from three, Took a bank to the left Slightly below the nest for an instant! Powerful wings! Say what! Wow! Heard her lift off after I knew she was going to take to wing
Belle back with a stick. Observes her domain and places it around give. In comes Shep Stands next to her for a while. Mating takes place. Both continue to be in the nest. Shep just left
Shadow flew over nest. Pretty sure it was Belle Shep was not concerned I think there is a smudge on the right side of his nostril. Picking on left over food now
I think the smudge is from the encounter of bringing in the food and maybe even Belle taking it from him off camera. It was not there earlier the morning.
Hoda, I just typed a long message and I think it went to another page. :( Glad to see that someone is on here watching. Thanks for the rundown this morning. Two in nest now.
Both eagles sitting side by side at 12 o'clock and 1 o'clock in the nest just enjoying the sunny day. Oh, one just got up and is on the bottom edge doing nestorations.
Now I even have the birds mixed up. Maybe I should shut up and just watch. I have always had trouble telling who is who. The bigger one is Belle, but when they are together, I still can't tell.
MT nest now, but will be watching for some action.
HODA, thanks for being up and at em' this a.m.--fantastic reporting.

Hi all. Checking in at lunch. Thanks for all reports from morning. Was going to check in earlier but on break heard a salesman talking about an eagle in a nest. Funny...he watches one in Hanover plus Pittsburgh and an owl nest somewhere. We talked and he had not heard of Shepherstown. Used up break talking. Will check back in later
Good morning! Great to see all your comments, Candy! But, good grief, what was Hoda doing up at that very early hour for her? She will fall asleep either skiing or during yoga. Can see it now!
I checked earlier and the nest was mt. They then had a nice visit while I read the paper.
My Valentine has invited me to dinner out tonight at Nonna Tatas! Yea! We are going to a party Saturday night. Do not like eating out on Valentine's day. Usually crowded and often a set menu.
Already 68! Slept last night with window open. However a front arrives early this afternoon and winter returns. My daffodils are in full bloom now. Need to take pictures to share! Daffodils are amazing, so perfect. They represent hope!
Ok, gotta get busy! Will be monitoring the cam. Picture me walking around the house carrying my iPad!
Hey there Lolly. I know what you mean about not wanting to go out on Valentines Day. Tonight will be a lot less crowded and more romantic. We go every year to our Knights of Columbus Valentine Dinner at our church. We get a table of people to sit together and have a pretty good time. That will be this Friday.
The eagles are playing hard to get today. The last I saw was that Jo thought they might be out to lunch together. :)
You lucky duck to have 68 degrees. The wind is still blowing here, the ocean is still churning and we have up to 40 now and it was a cold brisk walk. This weekend, we are to go our lowest yet.
Well, still no birds :( I'll be lurking will lunching. You have a great day!
Strange! Got an email that my Apple ID password had been changed. I did not do that!! So, I have changed it again! Hmmm ? Yesterday Jack could not get into another account. Had to change pass word. Do not like this. I think we have a hacker! Jack just shrugs! Grrrr!
Jo, Jack will probably be getting his hearing aids today. Prayers that all goes well. He has been emailing a good friend in Virginia and last night he called him. This gave him the confidence to jump in.
Lolly It sure does sound like you have been hacked. When I went to change my password, it came up on my mail that I had wanted to change it and if it wasn't me to let them know.
So glad to hear that your husband is getting his hearing aids today. He'll be a much happier person and so will you. :) He will be ok.
Hi all - home from school. So another day of the same ol' same ol' with our eagle pair??
Got a certified letter in the mail today that my mother still owes over $7000 in unpaid taxes, despite the fact that the amended return has been sent TWICE now and any taxes due to the IRS have been paid!
Now they are claiming that, if the taxes haven't been paid (which they have) by 2/26, they will seize my mother's property. Part of me wants to mail the IRS a letter that states, "Good luck with that!!" Instead I emailed everything to the accountant - now it's his headache, not mine!
Just read that US Embassy employees in Yemen have fled the country. Britain and France have also closed their embassies in Yemen. I am so glad my boy is out of that place! Way too scary!!
SANDI tell BRIAN no one is getting danger pay now. US embassy in the Yemen has wisely closed! The tribes are reshaping the political picture. The Sunnis are not happy. The same is happening in Syria/ Iraq. The picture speaks of some very bad times for ALL the Royals in the ME. Glad he is out of there. I hope no US boots get put on the ground for at least five years. It is how long it is going to take for the dust to settle. They are still feuding over the 12 th century events!
With all due respect JO I do believe it is Belle. The inverted v visible in many shots. However I defer to you. You know them longer and you have visited them. You know their behaviour as well as PAULA does.
Hi again SANDI AND HODA. My son is still in the Army until Dec 2015 when he wants to get out after 7 years. He was in Afghanistan. I do hope there are no US boots on the ground. These people, like you said, HODA, have been at it for so long. They need so finally settle this between themselves.
Oh I wish I knew how to fix this stupid typing on the blog I cam just barely see what I am typing but on Facebook its is ok and email ok It is almost like I need ink in a ribbon on a typewriter Have any of you ever experienced this kind of oops I had a update last night puter was off when I woke I think I may just power it off later to see if it fixes it I backed out of the blog and back in to it and still lite typing
That would be cool if it took pic on its own I think Debi has a recorder going at her place at time and just edits it
funny thing I just got in the mail a letter from one of my neighbor to donate $$$ a form and postpaid envelope for a donation Odd I wonder why they just didn't come over and knock on door and save the postage
She looks like she is watching and listening. I wonder if that is where her final egg laying spot is going to be? I thought the egg cup was more to the top of the nest.
Candy, Brian is a Foreign Service Officer for the US Department of State. He was in Yemen (had been for 7 months) when the drone strikes against AQAP back in late April started and they temporarily closed the US Embassy in Sanaa. Since his wife was due with their first child (my avatar) in June, he didn't have to return there. The whole family is scheduled to move to Mexico City in June or July of this year and they will be there for 3 years. Whenever I think about them going to Mexico, I remind myself that at least he's nowhere in the Middle East!

Split and I did feel a thing
It is not unusual for her to spend a night in the nest before laying an egg, Judy. Maybe this will be the night. We can only hope.
i do recall that
Cam went to black and white now.
She is up.
Yes, Jerry. We are almost out of light. I need to start dinner, but am trying to watch just a little bit longer.
Was that a yawn? I did not hear anything.
Up and stirring around. Rearranged the flugg.
She is looking restless-like maybe she is about to take off.
Do u see anything. LOST LIVE FEED
Don't say that LOL
Yes, she is still sitting in the nest, Judy. Over egg cup, but I don't think she is settled in. I think she might fly out at any time.
good evening to all.
I know I haven't said a lot lately. its just been same stuff different day. work. home school. cook dinner. do dishes. clean up. get ready for the next day.

Getting darker and darker. Belle is still there.
Back down
Hi Janet...sometimes I feel same way about chasing tail. Settling in now.
She has been seriously standing in egg cup for an hour-I'm betting an egg by morning.
Both in nest.
Shep is there too.
Two now.
Shep just appeared. It is so dark I didn't see him land.
HP
Lost live feed now.
EAGLE PORN
Still see two white heads, but they seems restless.
Belle poof!
Poof Shep (I think).
That was serious HP!
Shep poof!
Poof the other one. Nest is empty.
Gone
Was hoping at least Belle would stay.
Oh well.
Oh well.
Shirley, just saw your comment. LOL
Odd that I studdered on the tablet. I didn't think I could on it
Off this thing for now gonna watch Jordyn
Good night all. I lost the live feed and missed the last few minutes. Have a good evening. I'll check in tomorrow on short break.
Completely dark now. No eagles in the nest. It is getting close, though!!
I had just returned - in the darkness - Thanks for all the coverage.
GBLT - I hope you are right about tomorrow!
Shirley - is Kathryn home yet? And
do you have Bridge at your house tomorrow?
Kathryn is safely home.
Bridge is the 3rd Wednesday, so that's next week. I am trying to think ahead.
Did you get the dishes back into the cupboard?
I'm off to Jeopardy and then NCIS
BBL
Have been on fb. People shared a couple of stories. I laughed until I cried! Hilarious!
Just looked at the cam. It is so black but wonder if we will be able to see a white head? Hmmm??
Going to read now, night all. SED!
Checked the cam. All is black. I hear the wind blowing.
Goodorming my eagle friends - it's Wednesday.
I can see nothing on the live cam. I can hear nothing on the live cam except wind.
I agree with folks who say we will see Belle stay in the nest all night before we see an egg and that didn't happen last night. I could be wrong. Maybe today.
Have agreat day all.
Good morning Eagle buds!
Busy morning started with no internet! Gah~
Today is our 100th day of school. Maybe Belle will have an egg for us this morning! Not sure if she spent the night in the nest or not. Anyone?
Still dark outside at my house. Guess I should do some work while I wait.
DANAMO and SANDI
Good morning.
The consensus was that at complete dark the Eagles were not in the nest.
They arrived for a visit yet reports are they did not spend the night.
Last I read they poofed.
Thanks Hoda...bummer :(
How is your DAD DANAMO?
Thanks Hoda. He is good. Was discharged last Thursday. He got 4 units of blood. His Hemoglobin was 3.9 when he was admitted to the hospital!!!
His cancer has grown slightly with the addition of a new lymph node involved (we found that out before Christmas)but he is in good spirits and ready to attack it again! :) He starts chemo again today. I can just see the branches coming in view now My computer did a update last night and was off when I got up and ODD the typing is so faint when I type like I need a new ribbon will have to check that out when I get home the nest loos MT
YEP the nest is MT and cool that I can see it normally not this time of the day Getting lighter earlier I see Ok got to finish getting ready for work
Praying for your DAD DANAMO.
Strong courageous gentleman he is.
Blessed Be.
I see that dawn's early light brought us an MT nest without a hint of Eagles nearby. And I really thought she looked ready yesterday afternoon. Will be out for most of midday but I'm sure several of you will keep watch.
Eagle in and straight to working on the cup
Yes indeed Miss Belle is in the house!
Digging at times.
Observing her domain other times.
And now gone again
OK she took off from three,
Took a bank to the left
Slightly below the nest for an instant!
Powerful wings! Say what!
Wow! Heard her lift off after I knew she was going to take to wing
Belle back with a stick.
Observes her domain and places it around give.
In comes Shep
Stands next to her for a while.
Mating takes place.
Both continue to be in the nest.
Shep just left
Belle sitting watching him.
In he returns with a stick hour times his size!!!
Tries to put it from 11 it extends to six almost!
Belle moves to six.
Desk top keeps cutting out.
Yet when I click on image of eagle lower left side it reloads faster than clicking on main image.
Both are tracking the skies. They seem peaceful though.
Lovely morning in Shepherdstown.
Shep takes to wing from two
Belle still at six
She is truly a regal magnificent eagle, our Miss Belle.
Little grey bird flicking around nest at 11. Belle knows it is there. She continues to be at six
The longest my live feed on desk top stays on is 42 seconds!
Belle still at six.
Looking around.
Nest looks very soft with fluff.
Someone is flying about.
Miss Belle extends her neck, looks around.
Does not seem alarmed to me.
Screeches and takes to wing at five.
Empty nest.
Both back
She at six Shep at eleven
Food in the nest
Something red.
Belle was mantling
Now eating
Shep digging in cup
He takes off from two
Back in from ten
Belle takes to wing from five.
Shep follows
Shep back in with a small stick
Fixing railing.
Shadow flew over nest.
Pretty sure it was Belle
Shep was not concerned
I think there is a smudge on the right side of his nostril.
Picking on left over food now
I think the smudge is from the encounter of bringing in the food and maybe even Belle taking it from him off camera.
It was not there earlier the morning.
At least I did not notice it earlier the morning.
Where are you all back east?
It is almost nine your time!
Wake up! You are missing a long show.
I am missing your company too.
I hear a crow. Also wind
Neither seem to be a problem.
Earlier little birds were chirping away.
Shep still sitting close to five.
I think I have exceeded the sped limit in terms of alloted posts.
Unless something happens I will take a break from posting.
Shep takes to wing.
Empty Nest
In comes Miss Belle from eight
Digging in cup
Moving fluff around her.
Settled in.
Looking about.
Hoda, I just typed a long message and I think it went to another page. :( Glad to see that someone is on here watching. Thanks for the rundown this morning. Two in nest now.
I am hoping that Jo sees her first egg today.
In comes Shep with a short stick.
Working on crib
They are tracking something. Shep is concerned.
Both eagles sitting side by side at 12 o'clock and 1 o'clock in the nest just enjoying the sunny day. Oh, one just got up and is on the bottom edge doing nestorations.
He moves to six and returns his attention to sticks and crib railings.
Belle gets up, digs in cup.
Shep turns around
She settles back in the cup.
She is facing ten.
Belle up again.
Both up now just looking around and it looks like Belle is trying out the egg cup for a good fit. She is not quite satisfied yet.
Poof Shep just exited nest and is gone.
Shep takes to wing from seven.
Belle watching
Also preening
I think Shep landed on Cam.
I heard a thud and Belle looked up.
In comes Shep with a short stick.
Shep back with big stick up AT 1 O'CLOCK. Looked like he is digging into the egg cup. They are getting ready JO.. :)
Shep gone again and Belle working in egg cup/
Belle takes to wing. Shep still digging
Hoda, I get a kick out of reading our different observations on the nest. :) Love it! <3
Now I even have the birds mixed up. Maybe I should shut up and just watch. I have always had trouble telling who is who. The bigger one is Belle, but when they are together, I still can't tell.
Shep IS in the nest Carolina.
Belle is the one who flew off.
Shep called out and is gone. Can still hear eagles; must be on the upper branches?
Shep is smaller, darker feathers, jagged tail feathers.
He chirps and takes off
More eagle sounds.
They are in the attic.
Possible mating?
Not sure about that.
Empty nest
MT nest
They probably want some privacy. :)
It is almost ten in the morning back east!
OK Eagle Buds!
It is on your watch now.
I am off to get ready for my day.
Enjoy it.
Hoda, just checked Facebook and no one was on yet. They must be sleeping in. I won't be able to do it justice like you have. I am out of practice.
Still MT nest and no sound of eagles.
Good morning,
Just checking in. I see there's no egg yet. PT this morning. Need to get ready. BBL.
Good Morning Eagle Buds!!!
MT nest now, but will be watching for some action.
HODA, thanks for being up and at em' this a.m.--fantastic reporting.
DANA, prayers continue for your dear Dad. My heart did a flip flop for him when I heard that Annemarie now has her drivers license. I assume he was her driving instructor, just as he was for the boys. God bless your parent, you, Monte and your four fine young adults!
Yesterday's doggy play day was a lot of fun. Cold, but very sunny, making walks with the pooches pleasant. We were three worn out puppies by days end!
Have a super day all!
Prayers for those in need!
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
DANA, that should have been, God bless your parents. Your mom is a trooper, too!
Good morning Kay and Shirley. Poor Hoda was on here forever looking for a friendly face to blog with! :)
Hi, Everyone!
Wish I had time to read back and catch up, but having to hurry and get ready to go walk the mall.
Ken & I are meeting his sis for brunch/lunch. Need to catch up on the latest with her.
Prayers for all. Have a great day! I ♥ us!!!....Belle, where IS that egg?
Good Sunny morning to all ♥
Suppose to get up in the low 40s
But then tomorrow night down to 11... Come on Spring.
I turned the computer on much earlier and saw MT nest so yes, I grabbed another hour of sleep.
Thanks you Hoda and Candy for the nest coverage.
Welcome Jo to the morning watch. I thought there for awhile you were going to get your egg!
Dana prayers for your dad's treatments to do as well now as in the past.
Shirley - PT is good - hope you do well and that knee gets in shape for your bowling.
Looked for Jerry - didn't find him
Still MT nest. Maybe they are off having breakfast!
Still MT nest!
GOOD GRIEF!! I thought if I stayed away last night we'd have some eggtion but once again, nothin'!
Nothing at my Codorus nest either!
I AM WONDERING IT THEY WILL HAVE LUNCH AT THE NEST?
Still MT nest.
Out for my daily fast walk with my husband. Be back.
Will check back in later

bummer onlunch and see MT nest 1211
Good morning! Great to see all your comments, Candy! But, good grief, what was Hoda doing up at that very early hour for her? She will fall asleep either skiing or during yoga. Can see it now!
I checked earlier and the nest was mt. They then had a nice visit while I read the paper.
My Valentine has invited me to dinner out tonight at Nonna Tatas! Yea! We are going to a party Saturday night. Do not like eating out on Valentine's day. Usually crowded and often a set menu.

Well, still no birds :( I'll be lurking will lunching. You have a great day!
Sauces has a SECOND EGG
Both eagles back in nest together!
They are just sitting there looking around, and I guess enjoying the sun.
They are still both sitting there looking around.
HP coming up Shep is doing a long time this time. Maybe it is the one that will do the trick. That must have been some lunch! :)
I am trying to watch off and on today
They still at times are very alert to whatever is up above or around the nest.
More bonding = Maybe if Shep stays with Belle she will be relaxed and give us our egg
Now Shep is at 4 o'clock and she is pointing to 1 and both are just looking around again. Belle just ruffled out her feathers to look pretty for Shep.
I just thought that maybe Belle is waiting for Valentine's Day!!!!
Anyone get more then 5 secs on the live feed Grrrrrrrrrrr &*##*!
I'm glad they are both in the nest
I really can't tell if Belle is
sitting, squatting or standing.
Shep getting tired of sitting on the rail - is down digging some more
at the egg cup
Do you suppose that the juvie is still up in the tree above them?
Belle looks relaxed, whether she is sitting or not.
Shep looks like he is ready to take a look see around the area.
I am not having any trouble with my live cam. It does go off once in awhile, but then I have 3 things loaded on my one page.
We finished our walking and now see two in the nest. Like last night, hard to tell if Belle is sitting or standing. I think sitting!
Lolly Jo just said the same thing. I can't tell either.
Strange! Got an email that my Apple ID password had been changed. I did not do that!! So, I have changed it again! Hmmm ? Yesterday Jack could not get into another account. Had to change pass word. Do not like this. I think we have a hacker! Jack just shrugs! Grrrr!

So glad to hear that your husband is getting his hearing aids today. He'll be a much happier person and so will you. :) He will be ok.
Just came back from getting a bite to eat and both birds poofed.
Good news Lolly - Give me a head's up after Jack selects his.
I go in on the 16th.
I watched my 2:00 New Tricks TV show and yepper they both POOFED
Before they poofed they had very good HP! Shep knows what he is doing! Lol
It is 71 now. Heading outside for a while! Going to soak up some sunshine.
Eagle back in the nest.
Both birds in nest now. One has a small fish to eat. It looks like Belle is eating while Shep is nosing around the egg cup.
Belle is chowing down
Always a good sign of a hungry eagle
Shep is fixing the flugg
Both eagles are eating the fish now.
Good afternoon,
At home with Hunter.
Both eagles are in the nest now.
We are supposed to have very cold weather and rain. Sounds bad. Need to investigate more.
One eagle in the nest.
Hi Shirley Both are back in nest again; just watching and maybe sitting.
We here in N. Carolina are supposed to have our lowest temps of the winter this weekend. :( At least we aren't getting any snow yet. :)
One fly out
Poof one just left
Jo is that eagle Shep?
Whoever it is is comfortable!
Time out before my eyes go batty. One eagle is still in nest and hasn't moved; only the head looking around.
Later!
Yes, Sandy same old same old in the nest. They are still very much on their guard - just don't know how they are going to settle down...
Go Get them Sandi
IRS paperwork leaves so much to be desired!
I am fairly sure that it is Shep in the nest (could be wrong)
Just read that US Embassy employees in Yemen have fled the country. Britain and France have also closed their embassies in Yemen. I am so glad my boy is out of that place! Way too scary!!
Eagle in nest is Belle CANDY.
SANDI, is your son career?
Home from work and I see she is in the nest
and guess what MY CAM HAS BEEN UP AND RUNING SINCE THIS AM 10 HOURS PLUS
JUDYE Too bad your cam wasn't taking pictures the whole time. :)
Sandi God is good all the time
Prayers for you and Denny and especially Brian and his young family
Oh I wish I knew how to fix this stupid typing on the blog I cam just barely see what I am typing but on Facebook its is ok and email ok It is almost like I need ink in a ribbon on a typewriter Have any of you ever experienced this kind of oops I had a update last night puter was off when I woke

Hi,
Been snoozing, but decided to check the cam and see what is going on.
Will be taking Hunter to check on JROTC classes this evening. Kathryn will meet us there. Bye for now.
hey did you know that you could change the typing direction from left to right playing around to see if I can find a solution
Changing the way from tight this is odd for sure but it puts it on the page in the right order odd Try it out
I do see one eagle in the nest.
calling out
Eagle calls. I was about to check my mail.
sounds like alert looking around
all is quiet again
funny thing I just got in the mail a letter from one of my neighbor to donate $$$ a form and postpaid envelope for a donation Odd I wonder why they just didn't come over and knock on door and save the postage
Shep is flying about.
She trilled not in an alarming fashion.
Prior a few times she drew in thinking he was coming in for a landing.
Twice I though I saw contractions. No it was not the wind.
Her subtle movement.
We will see. Too early to tell.
SHIRLEY This eagle has been sitting in this nest for a little while now.
I only did a quick skim of the blog my neck can't take sitting and reading 130 comments in my inbox
JudyE Forget it. It has been a slow day today. They did come back to the next this afternoon and ate a small fish together.
She looks like she is watching and listening. I wonder if that is where her final egg laying spot is going to be? I thought the egg cup was more to the top of the nest.
Hi Judy,
Some organizations have started using this method to collect donations. I think it was the Cancer Society that had me send out this kind of request.
I think Belle will move to the egg cup position before she lays an egg.
I have to wind down now. Almost time to take Hunter to his meeting.
Our eagle in the nest has been there since 3:52 - FB has all pics documenting today Eaglet Momster site
There was a meal at 3:13.......
I so wish it were time
All day they still seemed to be
in an alert mode ???????
