We have not observed this before at this nest, and while things were civil today they could get rough for the juvenile soon enough. Time will tell.

I happened to open the live feed before lunch just to check and saw the juvie in the nest! Wow!
Then I read everyone's posts - thanks for the running commentary for those of us who didn't see the whole thing. Will have to wait til i get home to check out the pics and the vdeo of the juvie AND Belle in the nest together. Surely it must have been one of Belle's offspring for her to be so casual about an intruder?

Have finally eaten and still watching the cam. Interesting, my laptop is running now. Looked at my ipad and it had frozen with one in the nest.

As I arrived home, stopped down by the street to pick up the mail my neighbor stopped by. Her dad died this morning. He was in hospice care. Also, learned the kitty is still hanging around her house. She came running up while we were talking. This upsets me!
Going to take my ipad to the closet. LOL
Still there I see and we had both in nest when I was showering also

I take my tablet now room to room keep my desktop one and the laptop on the footstool so I have three devices running with out royal nest

I can't ever remember a juvie coming into the nest either.
When we lost Lib it was a young mature eagle.
I think it will need to get worse before it can get better. I hope this isn't delaying the eggs but.... who knows. We have had mid Feb egg laying in the past.

At Walmart in the mens dept they got two cool eagle shirts 5.44 each they are located at our store in wooden spinning cube racks folded shirts check them out
thinking about running up to the cell phone tower nest to see what I can see then to Jordyn gym after that keep an eye out I so do need to call the cable company to get a My Service acct so I can get free wifi that is out there by the company

Laptop does not keep the cam up but love my iPad. It stays up for hours.??? Finished in the closets. Did three and now have a big pile in one of the bedrooms. Asked Jack where to put it until Laurel has a garage sale. He said a closet. Lol I do not think so!!!
Listened to all the eagle fussing. And, it was fussing not just calling out. Go away, Juvie, one of our babies or not!!

Ugghh of all days for my cable company to have an outage! can't read my emails or post except using my phone. am going to load the live cam and watch but can't also comment.
If/when belle gets ready to lay an egg, she can't exactly cross her legs and hold it in. an egg is gonna come when it's gonna come. and once there is an egg in the nest belle won't care if that juvie is related to her or not! ok going to try to watch the live feed on my phone. bye!
Would really like to see Belle settle in for the night. It will soon be dark.
Don't know what that is in the nest, Lolly. I would think some remains of food, but I would think the juvie would have eaten it--if it was there earlier.

May I come in? Wouldn't be surprised if you all hit me with your eagle canes for causing you such concern! I am so sorry to worry all of you! I apologize!! Ken and I and Emma are all OK. We have just been VERY busy! We had a bit of a worry with Emma when she had to get her rabies vaccine, too. She tends to get an allergic reaction to other vaccines, so had to get a Benadryl and a steroid shot before the vaccine, and a week's worth of homotoxicology therapy to rid her body of toxins from the vaccine. She's come through it OK, and is her old self again!
I truly am sorry to worry all of you! I have had more work to do for the doctor I transcribe for, and Ken has been spending more time on the computer. He has to search for a job in order for our credit card insurance to continue to pay 3 or 4 of our credit card payments since he got laid off of his job last year. The end of this month he will be able to apply again for extended unemployment benefits. He may or may not be approved. Tomorrow is the 1 year anniversary of his being "laid off." We're meeting his former work buddy, Chuck, who got laid off the same day, for breakfast tomorrow--so we can
celebrate. Oh--and please say a few prayers for Ken's attorneys.
They are in their "discovery" phase, trying to get Ken's personnel files from his former employer. We suspect that the personnel dept. may pull and shred any of his papers that would not be to their advantage, and there's 48 years worth of stuff there. Ken can't possibly remember everything from that big a chunk of time, so what is there is pretty important. He didn't bring home a copy of every yearly review either, and they wouldn't let him return to his desk when they escorted him out of the building.
Grrrr! Well, enough said.
Yikes!! A juvie at the nest! Could it be that Hedgie (our Lynn) is visiting?! So interesting that Belle & Shep aren't really chasing it off. I wonder how often this happens.
....Golly! Here is where I got interrupted by the City shutting off our power so they could "swap out" our electric meter!! Everything is back on now. I wonder why they swapped out our meter, though. They changed us to their new "smart" meter a couple of years ago. Oh, well.
Once again, let me apologize for worrying all of you!! I've set an alarm on my phone to remind me to check in with you every day!

Jo, I've moved off the river and went to Woodsboro, Frederick county MD. Looks like somebody else is gonna make it rich collecting the tolls on the canal! Now I have Israel Creek and the Monocacy river to explore and photograph. I've got 3 covered bridges within 15 miles!

I've been busy after dinner proof reading doctor reports and cooking rice for Emma. She eats home-made food, since she's allergic to four major foods--turkey, wheat, white fish, and venison. It's so hard to find commercial dog food without any of those things in it.
How on earth are you guys coping with the weather back east? Hope you are managing to stay warm enough that you're not frostbitten! It's actually been surprisingly mild out here, with highs in the mid- to high 70s, and lows in the low 50s. The weather this last year has been so wacky it's difficult to wrap your head around. I heard that San Francisco has had the driest January ever!
