When I park my car at work, I always look for two big SUVs to park in between to keep my little tooter warm. :)
And I am very glad I don't have far to go to work. Five minutes if all the traffic lights mesh at the right time. If the lights don't agree....I whine and complain. lol
I am really glad no one is in the car with me when that happens! Whoa!
Thinking about all the extra work poor Megan will be doing. She needs the Snowplow Angel that hovers over the GH & blows all the snow away with her wings!
Guess everyone is home & sorry you have to go out, Margy, but sounds like you do OK w/your vehicle. Will send the Snowplow Angel with you, too! I must be getting frozen brain cells ☺ ! More coffee~~~~
there was a show last night on Maryland Public Television which included flying squirrels at Blackwater...just caught the "tail end" of it and if I can find more scheduled showings will pass that along
going back to bed now, sleep has been pretty disorganized today so far
Oh,oh. Lights have blinked twice and satellite has stuttered twice, too......WIll have to hike to dish and clean it off----luckily, only about 15 ft. Think I'll switch over to antenna until Jeopardy is over.
lol Sorry about the lost footing... just a slip of the tongue! I meant that when I looked up at my comment it startled me that I made it through the split and didn't even know it. Belive me - my 2 feet are planted on the ground!
Frustration about the orthopedic appointment. Waiting to get final approval to see the doctor I want to see. Not sure the insurance company will approve because I have seen this doctor before.
I said that I had never heard of such a thing before and that others I have talked with haven't either.
May end up having to travel somewhere else. Do not know yet.
Susan posted that she went to campus to turn in some work that she had completed for her study abroad course. Now she can't get off campus.
James has 4-wheel drive, but he is stuck is traffic. She said that the building she is in does not close until 2:00 AM, and, if, necessary, she can walk down to a nearby hotel.
I do hope she gets a good grade for that course!! And, I cannot imagine that any professor will be picking up the work tonight or even tomorrow morning.
I don't know if any of you still follow the panda, Yun Zi, at San Diego Zoo but can you believe they are starting him on the weaning process? Can't believe he is almost 18 mos. old.
Now, I do not know what possessed Susan to turn in this work tonight. She does not usually wait until the last moment to do things, and anyway, I do not think anyone would expect it to be delivered tonight regardless.
Margy, hope GG is OK. I can't call her, she doesn't answer the phone anymore, but she does call me when she needs something or is wondering why "I haven't come home yet"!:) Thanks for asking♥ Be careful and safe going to work. Jillian has a room at the firehall and stays there permantly...no worries about her anymore!
LOL, Suzan....filled tub this morning and it drained out!!!! Used cold water and guess the stopper didn't seal. Had to redo it with warm!!!! So far, so good. Already have a full bucket in shower for a start for a start for toilet so I don't have to lug up the steps right off the bat!!! Cell IS charged. Extra tea made and drinking water in fridge!
Uh, power is on and of here, lots of loud booms, flickering lights, and some flashes of light that look like transformers blowing. SO far it keeps coming back on. Hope everyone is doing okay, we have about 8" of snow and it is still coming down hard. rt 70 is shut down at South Mountain, rt 15 at point of rocks(r part of 340 and parts of rt 9
Shirley, don't remember there being a hotel in close proximity to GMU.....????? Of course, haven't been there since Christie's graduation ceremony in ????'03, I think. So guess things have changed. Hope she does bunk in with a friend.
Diann, glad Jim is home!
I took some pics, too, Wanda....but they look B&W----only color showing is a bit of the green railing.
I was in the bathtub a while ago and the lights flickered...got out of there in a hurry...fear being in a tub full of water and no lights! I have a candle with a pack of matches on a shelf near the tub, but just get panicky! Thanks for the reminder of drawing extra water, etc. Lynn...going to do that now!
Whew, our TV keeps flickering. If we loose that the internet will be gone too. The dogwoods out front are bent to the ground. The wires are all snow covered. I can't even see out the back windows cause snow is blown up. My back hurts.
Megan...oh my girl, can't imagine what you are dealing with. It's SO heavy!
Glad Dian's Jim is home.
We think there is an accident down the road. Firetruck and Paramedic unit went past. Now a big plow. Neighbor down the street can't tell anything except they are at the quarry....
Looks like daytime at the nest. Weird! Reading the blog, I half expect to look outside and see snow. LOL Presently 49 and going back up into the 60's tomorrow. Also going to have one day up to 70, or so they say. Then...early next week....winter mix. We should finish the yard clean up this week. Yea!
Measured snow on grill...12 inches and still falling. On Just For Fun. I don't expect any woodland animals to visit Trail Cam viscinity tonight. Should be a new Trail Cam video on blog (maybe Wild and Wonderful) haven't checked yet. A few fun photos.
Suzan, been at the OBX for a few bad summer storms (shipwreck kind!) and a Cat 1 'cane before. Florida coast, too. Tolerable.....but would not stay for worse!!!
Well, I was certainly off on the snow total here...more like 9-10 inches. Got to meet the new neighbors next door, thank the neighbor that snow plowed, and chase the dogs down the street when they escaped out the front door when I went to go out!
NCSusan, I've been keeping an eye on "Kid Diego", as I call the young Panda at SD, but I hadn't read the notice that they are weaning him already. That IS kind of a shocker.
He's been eating the bamboo pretty well on his own though, so it shouldn't be much of a problem for him.
They were wondering if Bai Yun would be able to have another baby before Kid Diego was conceived owing to the fact she's already at an age where fertility ceases in the wild, so it will be doubly interesting to see what comes to be this year.
Oh yeah, Lynn. They are goners. Fortunatley, Boo stopped to sniff something and I snagged him by his collar. If i can capture Boo, Nugz just walks right along, or runs ahead back home!
Nugz will stay around in the front yard, if he is by himself. But the two of them together spells trouble!
Love to see dogs romping in the snow...our Missy loved to run in the snow with her nose buried up to her eyes...round and round the yard she went, nose buried all the while:)
Rt. 340 continues to be closed due to 3 tractor trailers unable to crest the hill by Harper Cemetery between Shenandoah Bridge and Harpers Ferry stoplight. Traffic closed both directions. Emergency vehicles, tow trucks, etc on scene but not much progress.
Suzan, yes, that is our grill. I wanted steak for supper...bought fresh mushrooms (a must for me with steak)...not tonight. Gene would grill in any weather, but he hasn't been feeling well, so I didn't want him to go out:(
Lolly, speaking of the Kitties getting along with the wild animals on the cam, it surprises me how they ALL get along and eat together...isn't nature wonderful. We learn so much from the cams.
Glad you do not have to drive in early, Paula. Now, if we had snow like you have, we would be stranded. No snow plows here! Last year we did get it and the whole world came to a stop.
It would make me furious!!!! I filled in three armadillo holes while working in the yard. Two I knew about, was surprised about the third. One hole was in a flower bed by the stream. I put a big concrete edger over the hole after filling it in. Maybe he won't dig there next year. Grrrrr!
I called Alexis this am since there wasn't any school to wish her happy b-day. We were going to have Pizza party this evening. When I asked her if she ordered all this snow for her b-day, she said "No, I didn't" She said when asked about her party that "We can do that another day"
She is a sweet 6 yr old. I'll be sure to tell her about your wishes. Saw a good many over on FB. Her dad will read those to her.
lots of snow reports... hoping that everything will be okay...with Susan finding safe haven, electricity staying on, and all those kinds of things
I cannot access Still Cam...live feed okay, had to sneak onto the blog off Paula's link on the E-M Page about to go out and do snow battle if I can find my vehicle out in the parking lot
Just talked to Susan. She is stranded at the college with a lot of other people.
She said that when she went to turn in her paper, it was raining, then the snow started and it got bad very quickly.
The paper is due tomorrow, but she agreed with me that the professor is not too likely to show up tomorrow expecting everyone to have gotten the papers in.
The same thing happened here with the weather. It went very quickly from rain to snow and got very bad very suddenly.
We could not talk long because she wants to save the battery power on her phone. James made it home after spending many, many hours in his car on the road.
So, she is in a warm, safe place where there are other people and plenty of food. She had an offer to stay with a friend a mile down the road. She's not inclined to try to drive or walk that far.
Ironic that this snowstorm should be the culmination of her very eventful study abroad on the equator.
Washington county will announce at the latest moment possible, in typical fashion. Personally I've have already declared schools closed for tomorrow. It seems to be a no brainer. And no, that magic shovel works in dirt only. And the most beautiful backhoe just plowed most of my lane, wonderful surprise. Gonna go shut the heater off.
We will do her family party Friday. Her dad, aunt, and Gram will be taking her and 3 friends to the Way Off Broadway for 101 Dalmatians. I did find for her a very soft cuddly little dalmatian.
Someone is looking after you, gal! You deserved that back hoe.. I remember last year and you even had a pic of it happening - one of the vehicles running into the snow bank. I need to look at your blog pics...
Oh Yippee I can get onto the still cam now...thought maybe FWS in Denver was doing some upgrades...
wonder if my friend will have to use that snow shovel in the morning, he did warn me that if I gave it to him he might have to use it...well, I did save him a few bucks...
ttfn, back I think...in a little while
IF NOT: Best wishes for a warm safe evening for everyone... whether you are in the snow zone or not !
Charlie insisted on taking Carolyn to work himself. They left shortly before 10....are in town now. No trouble. 1st half of trip...roads not touched. Rest plowed and even bare in places. Now just have to worry about Charlie getting home okay.
Wanda I'm not sure if I will get off work at 0800 - I will call you in the morning and see if you want me to stop by GG's and see if she will come to the door for me...
Jo, Happy Birthday to Alexis!!!! So, you were planning pizza, not meatballs!!! LOL Should be a great weekend party. She sounds so mature for 6! not worried about party time!
Wanted to mention, on earlier News 6PM, they had weather lady standing on Wisc. Ave, near Bethesdaa, MD. Said they heard/saw thunder & lightening. It was a transformer that blew & the traffic lights went out. I figured they would send someone w/light stick to direct traffic at intersections. Just saw same place again----no one directing & traffic backed up & slow for hours! DUH!!!
Good grief.....DC traffic jams--stuck in traffic for 6 hrs. And the gov't. let out early! Hmmmm...this is the kind of stuff that makes me glad I'm not there anymore!
I'm right behind you, Sunshine:) I hate to end this day...enjoyed it very much. Fire in the fireplace all day and night and did very little housework. That is a GOOD DAY:)
didn't think I would be able to post... cannot see the avatars and can't do some things, so the security programs must do the necessary filtering and blocking... but this is GREAT !
Well after hanging out at GMU for 6 hours, I managed to get my car over to the gas station across the street... which was out of gas so I then decided to leave my car and walk 1 mile to a friends house. I am happy to have such great friends to give me a warm bed for the night ;)
It is not snowing the storm moved out last night. We have about 10" here and probably about the same at the nest site. Today's forecast -Partly sunny. Highs in the mid 30s. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. That wind is worrisome, tree branches and power lines are still coated with snow-
Lynn, no it missed us. We only had rain. I hope snow on limbs and trees cause no damage for you guys. And I do not blame you for not going out to check for the paper. Do they have it online?
I am really ticked off......just found out from Chrissy that it took 16 darn days for my birthday card to arrive. That is totally absurd. What the H are we paying for???? Total incompetence. I am HOT.
Me too, Lynn...I like to read the journal while eating breakfast. That is a creature comfort to me. If it is a good news day, I can read for hours:)
Talked to Margy and she checked out the situation at GG's house. Mr Riner (a neighbor) was plowing her driveway. Bless Margy's heart, she offered them some of her hot coffee. They declined, saying they were hot and sweating:)
Lynn, I have heard several times that the post office was going to close on Saturdays. I wonder if that also means transportation of mail. That is still no excuse for that delay of your card.
Your Carolyn spotted the TWO eagles in the nest this morning before I did...and she loves that watchdeer.com site ! there was quite a family of raccoons there overnight.... sure is fun to have some wildlifing pals in there !
crummy about the delayed mail delivery on Christie's card Lynn
I have to say, though, I can mail a package to Massachusetts and it frequently gets there the next day! Letters to Middletown MD take a day, sometimes Annandale Va as well.. all depends on a lot of factors I guess....
xo gotta to get some sleep
hoping the haircut lady makes it into town
Best wishes for a Stellar and Sunny day everyone... xoxo
Hey there Sharon: You are Welcome...now I have to tell you I have many bird cards...some of the other ones you mention on the daily birdy round-up - so..... you never know what might show up next !

don't scare me Jo !
tried to get the warning out, was too late !
BWO is interesting to look at....

I must be getting frozen brain cells ☺ ! More coffee~~~~
I canned my Bible study this evening. I will miss my study pals this eve.
Our lights keep flickering...
wonder how our cams at NCTC will hold up with this weather
Well, Mai enjoyed plowing her way through the snow for a short distance. Kept going in circles!
sorry to read that Megan!
there was a show last night on Maryland Public Television which included flying squirrels at Blackwater...just caught the "tail end" of it and if I can find more scheduled showings will pass that along
going back to bed now, sleep has been pretty disorganized today so far
Prayers for everyone affected by this storm...
Jo....please rephrase.....no lost footing allowed!!!
Message sent, Margy----no reply yet.
BEagle, glad you made it safely.
Oh,oh. Lights have blinked twice and satellite has stuttered twice, too......WIll have to hike to dish and clean it off----luckily, only about 15 ft. Think I'll switch over to antenna until Jeopardy is over.
Lynn, can't believe the squirt bottle did not phase her. Please be extra careful.
Please charge your cell phones and fill your tubs with water. This storm could cause trouble for several days.
I don't think we will have trouble viewing the nest tonight! LOL
Hi everyone. this is some storm.
Whew, Jim just got home! Now to eat supper.
... later
lol Sorry about the lost footing...
just a slip of the tongue!
I meant that when I looked up at my comment it startled me that I made it
through the split and didn't even know it. Belive me - my 2 feet are planted on the ground!
Susan posted on FB that she is snowed in at school, but did not answer her phone. I wonder if she is trying to get home.
Squirt bottle with a little vinegar?
aaaah, good, Diann....
Jim is home, was waiting to see that
Ok Jo, know you're careful, we are just all so supersensitive to any sentences including feet, ankles, stuff like that...
okay, see you all later...
about the time you will be bedding down for the night
xoxo
Glad you cleared that up about the "lost footing."
oH, H...!! Great looking setup for a beer party; terrible setup for eagle egg laying.
I guess the happy event is postponed this time.
C(°?°)3 Jim
Yes. The cam seems to be nice and bright tonight!
Taking a break since all seem to be accounted for.... Shirley think positive concerning Susan!
BBILW
Frustration about the orthopedic appointment. Waiting to get final approval to see the doctor I want to see. Not sure the insurance company will approve because I have seen this doctor before.
I said that I had never heard of such a thing before and that others I have talked with haven't either.
May end up having to travel somewhere else. Do not know yet.
Well, folks, I have added a new FB account...will add friends slowly, don't want to get flagged for that too.
That sounds ridiculous, Shirley.
Finally got a snow plow guy out there, dogs are woofing...still snowing pretty good.
Oh, I see my neighbor snow blowed part of the drive and walk, bless his heart!
Whoa, ton of snow blowed up against the back door!
She is getting offers to stay in a dorm or with a girlfriend near campus.
Eagle nest looks pristine.
Shirley, glad you have word of Susan.
Thanks, Suzan.
Going to head out and do some shoveling....about 5-6" here.
Looks like 10-12 inches here. Gene just took some pics.
It's almost stopped snowing!
Hope it does soon!
Put a few snow pics on Just For Fun.
BEagle.....yep, have vinegar mixed in it!!!
Prayers for all your safety. I want the storm to pass.
Ha, see yours is B&W, too!
Yours ARE!!! Only one loaded at first!
Pictures are beautiful - hope you don't lose any limbs on your pines.
Thanks for all those reports, Megan
I was in the bathtub a while ago and the lights flickered...got out of there in a hurry...fear being in a tub full of water and no lights! I have a candle with a pack of matches on a shelf near the tub, but just get panicky!
Thanks for the reminder of drawing extra water, etc. Lynn...going to do that now!
Almost too soon to tell, Jo....The breakage usually happens when the snow comes off!
Jim, it IS a mell of a hess!!!! Want some????
Yeah, it is a lot of heavy snow. But I can deal with it as long as the electricity stays on. My back, on the other hand, has already had quite enough.
snow plow is stuck on the road out front
Looks like daytime at the nest. Weird! Reading the blog, I half expect to look outside and see snow. LOL Presently 49 and going back up into the 60's tomorrow. Also going to have one day up to 70, or so they say. Then...early next week....winter mix. We should finish the yard clean up this week. Yea!
I am beginning to think the Llano, TX eagles are smart eagles.
Lynn, all this oreparation is just getting you ready for the storms on the Outer Banks!
Fat fingers. Preparations!
Lolly, you must have a huge yard. Bet it will be beautiful when you finish.
Got about 1/4 of deck shoveled off----heavy! About 8". 3-4" earlier in first go 'round. Wind is picking up again.
My cam timed out after 32 hrs.!! Refreshed....fine now.
Well, I was certainly off on the snow total here...more like 9-10 inches. Got to meet the new neighbors next door, thank the neighbor that snow plowed, and chase the dogs down the street when they escaped out the front door when I went to go out!
HA HA HA omg the nest looks like daytime!!
Wanda, you should put the pics on Wild and Wonderful---even though it really isn't wonderful at all!!!
Yeah, it's weird how it looks so bright on the cam pic.
We have an acre that is all lawn and flower beds. Wish it was woods! LOL Lots of trees and lots of leaves!
NCSusan, I've been keeping an eye on "Kid Diego", as I call the young Panda at SD, but I hadn't read the notice that they are weaning him already. That IS kind of a shocker.

Paula, are your dogs deaf when they get loose? Mine always have been!!
Radar showing the storm should be done soon.
Wanda, enjoyed your video.
Oh yeah, Lynn. They are goners. Fortunatley, Boo stopped to sniff something and I snagged him by his collar. If i can capture Boo, Nugz just walks right along, or runs ahead back home!

Thanks, Lolly...what did you think of the music?
Rt. 340 continues to be closed due to 3 tractor trailers unable to crest the hill by Harper Cemetery between Shenandoah Bridge and Harpers Ferry stoplight. Traffic closed both directions. Emergency vehicles, tow trucks, etc on scene but not much progress.
Jim and Suzan....do you think they are trying to wean him because they want her to breed again this spring????
Jim, yes it will be interesting to see if Bai Yun will have another cub. I will be watching though. She is such a great mom.
Wanda, was that your grill under the snow? Poor grill!
The Mason Inn is near George Mason University, but has no vacancies. Susan is still communicating with friends.
Susan probably wishes she was back in Quito.
Suzan, yes, that is our grill. I wanted steak for supper...bought fresh mushrooms (a must for me with steak)...not tonight. Gene would grill in any weather, but he hasn't been feeling well, so I didn't want him to go out:(
Jo, did I read correctly that it is Alexis' birthday? Happy happy birthday to Alexis!
Lolly, speaking of the Kitties getting along with the wild animals on the cam, it surprises me how they ALL get along and eat together...isn't nature wonderful. We learn so much from the cams.
Been watching Idol. Altho there are lovlier snow scenes around, could only get one tree from front door! On Blog & sending to people in the South!!LOL
Boy, it's a good thing Belle DIDN'T lay any eggs, judging by all the snow in the nest!
Loved the music, Wanda. LOL Yes, that too, noticed the mixture of animals. Amazing!
I wanna cam! Whine!
Hey, Loweeda, pretty picture of the tree. Also, saw Eagle porn. Shame! :)
No Amer Idol for me tonight. Jack is watching the STARS play hockey and since we have a fire, I did not want to go into the other room.
Just got done all my phone calls for work...not going to open until noon tomorrow.
It really would be great to see an armadillo on your trail cam, Lolly.
Grrrrr!
I keep hearing one made cubbie!
Let's go make a snow angel right in the middle on the nest! :)
Whoops...MAD cubbie!
Wanda - Questions???
Why have all your videos been
removed...........???
Wanda, I didn't hear any music.....but think you said it was still loading or something, right? I'll have to go watch it again!
I thought I was going to get a cam with my Christmas money.....now it's going to pay for the behaviorist. :(
Watching my MAN!!!! Tom Selleck, of course!
I hope Alexis had a happy birthday today.
Just shared on fb a video of Lily and cubs. It is so cute. You can see two cubs for sure. Found the video on bear chat.
So, how cold is it there in now land. Any warm up coming? Want that snow to melt off the nest!!!
snow land
I called Alexis this am since there wasn't any school to wish her happy b-day. We were going to have Pizza
party this evening.
When I asked her if she ordered all this snow for her b-day, she said "No,
I didn't" She said when asked about her
party that "We can do that another day"
She is a sweet 6 yr old. I'll be sure to tell her about your wishes. Saw a good many over on FB. Her dad will read those to her.
Here in now snow land it is 31°, supposed to go to mid 20's overnight. Snow is just about finished.
Lolly it is very light snow now here in my valley with 31°
In nestville they are recording 31.8° and overcast. So I think it has stopped snowing at the nest.
Wonderful pics and video, Wanda!
Lolly, what porn?????
Wonder if Megan and Russ used the MAGIC shovel????All the snow should be gone!
Cam is getting darker...
Megan - when will Wash.Cnty announce any school cancellation?
Hello Eagle Pals
lots of snow reports...
hoping that everything will be okay...with Susan finding safe haven, electricity staying on, and all those kinds of things
I cannot access Still Cam...live feed okay, had to sneak onto the blog off Paula's link on the E-M Page
about to go out and do snow battle if I can find my vehicle out in the parking lot
xoxo
lol If Liberty or Belle flys in to
the nest: They are going to have snow
up to their beaks! They will be able to make belly whoopers!
Come on sunshine and help them out.
33° here in the 'ville. Snow has stopped.
Jo, know that you missed not havinng your Alexis fix!
Happy Birthday to Alexis!
Lady Blackwater looks like she is
crystallized.... Hope it is soon for
a switch to happen

Megan
I hope you have some biofreeze
but I really hope, that your back will be okay
From watching the news, it seems that many, many people are stranded on the roads, including pregnant women and others in need of help.
People are abandoning their vehicles on the roads.
Someone is looking after you, gal!
You deserved that back hoe.. I remember last year and you even had a pic of it happening - one of the vehicles running into the snow bank.
I need to look at your blog pics...
Huge snowball fight at Dupont Circle tonight.
Oh Yippee I can get onto the still cam now...thought maybe FWS in Denver was doing some upgrades...
wonder if my friend will have to use that snow shovel in the morning, he did warn me that if I gave it to him he might have to use it...well, I did save him a few bucks...
ttfn, back I think...in a little while
IF NOT: Best wishes for a warm safe evening for everyone...
whether you are in the snow zone or not !
xo
Charlie insisted on taking Carolyn to work himself. They left shortly before 10....are in town now. No trouble. 1st half of trip...roads not touched. Rest plowed and even bare in places. Now just have to worry about Charlie getting home okay.
Wanda
I'm not sure if I will get off work at 0800 - I will call you in the morning and see if you want me to stop by GG's and see if she will come to the door for me...
If you go to Megan's blog you can view
2 sets of last year's blizzard...
"Whatever" and "2010 Snow Storm"
Shirley - this snow was made for
snowballs!
Jo, Happy Birthday to Alexis!!!!
So, you were planning pizza, not meatballs!!! LOL
Should be a great weekend party.
DUH!!!
Jo, when I went outside for sec to take pic, I thought of Megan's pics from last year!
Loweeda, your picture of "afternoon delight". LOL
Yes, Jo, this is a snow for snowballs. And snowmen.
I-70 was shut down around Mt Airy, and another accident on 15 south around 7th st and still yet another on I70.
Took the other gal at work 2 hours to get home...she was waiting for her hubby to pick her up...they left Frederick at 5:30
Good grief.....DC traffic jams--stuck in traffic for 6 hrs. And the gov't. let out early! Hmmmm...this is the kind of stuff that makes me glad I'm not there anymore!
Nightmare stories are coming out about people getting stranded out there in the traffic.
I think Susan is settled in to spend the night where she is.
Hope everyone has a safe, warm and uneventful evening.
headed out soon...
I found the Blazer, and it works!
So did the broom
I can actually check the blog from work, but cannot post...
will definitely have the nest sites up.
will check all the new pictures in the morning, hoping to see some sunshine ☼

Try, to Sleep Sweetly....
my prayers will include that wish
God Bless Us, Every One

Well, I think the Lily cam just went down. I think I am about to, as well!
Started to stretch out here in my chair, but no, I think I want to head to bed.
Nite all! Sweet dreams!
I'm right behind you, Sunshine:)
I hate to end this day...enjoyed it very much. Fire in the fireplace all day and night and did very little housework. That is a GOOD DAY:)
Margy, you are a dear for offering to check in on GG♥ We are planning on going early to see how she is. She didn't call, so I feel certain she is OK.
GOOD NIGHT MY FRIENDS
PRAYERS FOR EVERYONE'S SAFETY
Well this is definitely the shift to be on...nuttin' goin' on in the county so far...that will start changing as daytime approaches
See your message, Wanda...okay, but just call if that changes, your plans that is...
okay hope everyone is sleeping and dreaming peacefully
no feetie prints at NCTC so far...
didn't think I would be able to post...
cannot see the avatars and can't do some things, so the security programs must do the necessary filtering and blocking...
but this is GREAT !
From Susan on Facebook:
Well after hanging out at GMU for 6 hours, I managed to get my car over to the gas station across the street... which was out of gas so I then decided to leave my car and walk 1 mile to a friends house. I am happy to have such great friends to give me a warm bed for the night ;)
Eagle on the nest.
Walking to the right of the nest.
Poof!
Very brief visit!
You can see talon and tail tracks.
good eyes BEagle...
i am watching but missed it...
( i have to do a little work here at the office ☺)
Good Morning to everyone...
there is a beautiful eagle on the nest
Both Eagles in
With fluff!

Hi BEagle

Eagle back- with a stick
Now both! trying to uncover the nest
Stick fight-Lib actually won that round.
There goes Bell, she flew out to the right.
Okay, you lovebirds, time to work again! Clean that house, build those walls.....LOL!
Good to see them back where they belong.
Morning all. Hope everyone is having a good start to your day.
Poof Lib- mt nest
Margy, glad the night was quiet. SO surprised that you were able to get on the blog!!
Wnada, you and Gene be very careful!
Oh, Shirley, so wishing Susan had stayed put! Know that you were worried.
Sort of funny to watch them decorate the nest when it is full of snow! HP!
Couldn't he wait til there was a dry house for Belle?
Poof!
How is everyone this morning? Is it still snowing? Is everyone safe?
We didn't get enough snow to even cover the grass in Bedford but Bedford County Schools are canceled today. Must be bad somewhere.
Saw Liberty and Belle in the nest a few minutes ago. I am so grateful there is not an egg yet.
Am I here by myself? LOL! Will check back later.
Sharon, maybe it is a precautionary measure.
It is not snowing the storm moved out last night. We have about 10" here and probably about the same at the nest site.
Today's forecast -Partly sunny. Highs in the mid 30s. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.
That wind is worrisome, tree branches and power lines are still coated with snow-
Wishing I had my newspapers....:( But not going to try walking out when I don't even know for sure if they are there.
Suzan, how's everything down your way? Did you get snow?
Lynn, no it missed us. We only had rain. I hope snow on limbs and trees cause no damage for you guys. And I do not blame you for not going out to check for the paper. Do they have it online?
I am really ticked off......just found out from Chrissy that it took 16 darn days for my birthday card to arrive. That is totally absurd. What the H are we paying for???? Total incompetence. I am HOT.
Yes, Suzan, they are online.....but I am a creature of habit! Like to have it spread in front of me!!
That is still no excuse for that delay of your card.
..and Here Comes the Sun! At least, in Berkeley County ! ☼
nice link to the three eggs at Blackwater....they survived the storm nicely....
Lynn-Hedgie:
Your Carolyn spotted the TWO eagles in the nest this morning before I did...and she loves that watchdeer.com site ! there was quite a family of raccoons there overnight....
sure is fun to have some wildlifing pals in there !
Amen and halleluiah....Bill is here plowing out my driveway!!
Jo wherever you are:
early warning: Split is coming...unless we get a new thread before #401
No losing of footing allowed
The sun is poking out here too!
okay and yay Suzan!
Bring it on! -the sun that is
crummy about the delayed mail delivery on Christie's card Lynn
I have to say, though, I can mail a package to Massachusetts and it frequently gets there the next day!
Letters to Middletown MD take a day, sometimes Annandale Va as well..
all depends on a lot of factors I guess....
xo gotta to get some sleep
hoping the haircut lady makes it into town
Best wishes for a Stellar and Sunny day everyone...
xoxo
Magpie, thank you so much for my card! ♥ and ((((HUGS)))).
..have to wonder if my friend is "enjoying" his shovel ☺
Sun is shining in Bedford! ☺
Wax!
Split!
Hey there Sharon: You are Welcome...now I have to tell you I have many bird cards...some of the other ones you mention on the daily birdy round-up - so.....
you never know what might show up next !
xoxo
