Good Morning/Afternoon, Everyone! Thanks for the new thread, Steve, and thanks, Margy, for the call over!
Sissy, what good news about Kailey! How wonderful!
I never made it back here last night because English class ran really late. Turns out our teacher postponed the exam until the 24th! We have a lot more to cover to prepare for it, and next Monday (MLK Jr. Day) is a school holiday. I was SOOO tired when I got home! Emma was tired, too, and slept a l-o-n-g time. My Sis-in-law dropped by for a visit, and while she was there, Emma got to play with her ball and drag her huge puppy stuffed toy around. She managed to wear herself out, I guess. She didn't eat her dinner last night (well, only a bite or two). She ate every bite of it early this morning after Hubby left for work, then spent a couple of hours in my lap, watching TV. She's getting better and better about not chewing on our clothing while she's in our lap.
Dana, I've been praying for Little Man. Hope the vet is able to diagnose what his problem is, and can make him pain-free. Waiting for your report. Meanwhile, prayers for him continue.
I'm waiting for MCI to show up again today! Geez, if they don't show up by tomorrow, I have to call them back and open up another work order! I'm really upset that they have kept us hanging for so long. Have SO much school work to do today, AT SCHOOL, and can't leave home until noon. Grrr.
Boy, it's fantastic that Belle & Lib have been working so much on the nest, and HP has been going on!
Well, I could really use some coffee right now, so think I'll head for the kitchen. Will check back in later to see what's happening. Have a good day, everyone! :o]
Keep an eye on Lily and Hope for me. We are off to see the latest Harry Potter movie. Have read the books and we are fans.
Having a heat wave here, up to 31. Down into the teen tonight. When I planted my tulip bulbs this week, I found a pink cone flower blooming and more about to open. Crazy, huh?

Well I just checked to see if I could see Honey again...... I missed it BIG time. Honey picked up the stuffed Panda bear toy and took it back with her into her den.. Toooooo Funny.
It is the real thing here in the 'ville...............coming down heavily, but not furiously. ARGH. I HATE SNOW. Fire is cooking away.....so that is good. Mai is being a good girl so far today---napping at the moment---and that is VERY GOOD and makes me happy. Did I tell you that she finally realized that there is great warmth over the vent above the stove room....just like Shang and Cinnamon did....and has taken to laying there often!
Andy, if I was you I would be screaming at the top of my lungs at and about MCI. Totally inexcusable. You must be one very patient lady. Sorry your exam was postponed....:( Now you have to get psyched again.
Anxious to hear from Judie, Shirley and Dana.
As quickly as that, snow stopped again!! We'll see how long that lasts!
Chili is done, crackers set aside and grated cheese for taking to work later. I add green peppers, anyone else? haven't made chili since being in this roost, but it looks and smells okay too hot to taste yet guess I could set aside a tasty tester in a big spoon ☺
Chili is done and so am I, time to get some rest before midnight shift
Hope the afternoon and evening are full of nice cam views, nest visits, and good times at your roosts hoping to read good reports later on
At least I am thinking that with the den cam as it is now, we will be able to see Lily cuddle a new cub(s) under her chin. Looks like little hope is sometimes Lily's pillow.
LOL, Paula.....right you are! But it certainly does seem to be positioned perfectly now and barring any Lily mishaps, yes, we should have a good viewing as Jo says!
Jo, tonight is our big TV night!!! About time, I say!
Christie got home from DC around 2 (left home at 5AM). In dentist chair here now....and then supposed to be in Frederick for a nail apptmt. at 7.....I won't rest easy til she's safely home. And then will start worrying again come 11 when Carolyn leaves to head into work. Mothers never get breaks from worry, no matter how old the kids get.
Finally, arrived home after my first big day out. Class went well, I think. Students were fun and were willing to participate. Darth sat through the class then we went to get groceries as snow was flying around. Nothing now.
Can only see a little of Lily, I think, as she has pulled a privacy curtain over her home. MT nest at NCTC.
Margie, enjoy the chili and a quiet night at work. Lynn, get the rest while you can.
Dana, how's Little Man today?
Jo, glad you had some time with Kristen. All will arrive safely home.
Lynn, Christie and Carolyn will also have safe travels.
Andy, sorry the exam was postponed. Hated that as a student and try to never do that to my students. That's okay. You'll do perfectly as always.
Going across the hall to the bed and a pain pill. Brain is ready to rejoin the world but the foot is NOT.
We are home from the movie, enjoyed it! Ate my fill popcorn. $13 for the movie, $17 for popcorn and two cokes. Really? I think next time I take a bottle of water!
Judie, so glad that you made it through the day. Only natural to be too pooped to pucker! Thanks, Darth, for taking such good care of our gal!!!! Did you learn a lot? You can audit the class, right??!!!
Laurel just called. She calls every day after school. Anyway, as she was talking to me she saw a hawk swoop down and catch a mouse, or something small. She said it was not dangling like a snake. It was very close to her.
LOL.....Lolly get out a big pocketbook----gotta smuggle it in! I do that on the rare occasion I go. The prices are absurd. We DO have one theatre that does $5 matinee, and another does $7.....but Christie is never available during the day anymore...so haven't been since summer. Of course, when she worked at the hospital, she often won tickets from the radio station, so it was free!
Yes, it is true. We had early dismissal today. And our departmental meeting was canceled. I stayed around for awhile and took care of a few things, then hit the grocery store for goodies. Since we were having freezing rain, I picked Hunter up at the sitter.
It is not nice out there. Icy.
Snow has been reported, but I have not seen any.
Glad to see that Judie made it to the big schoolhouse today.
Good that Mai was well-behaved today.
Wanda, you can't make it through the rest of the winter without a coat. Well, I guess you said that you have short coats.
My delete computer really acting crazy must be the weather.
Let's try this again:
Hi all....Ok about Little Man after $435.00 I still don't know yet what is wrong. There was a certain blood test that won't be back until Monday. All x-rays did not show a stone, cyst, or tumors. So good to go there. His prostate is fine. His liver enzymes are up might need to change from the Maintenance Diet to Senior Diet (which won't be a problem changing it a little at a time). She wants to wait to do anything until this test comes back. Has to do with kidney's. She said she might want to do another test about a hormone that could raise liver enzymes. She mentioned possibly if nothing shows with those two test she could do a sonogram but whatever it would show he is too old to operate on. So it would not be any sense in doing a sonogram. So for now no change in diet---waiting for blood work to come back as I said should be Monday.
I thank you for your prayers and asking if you would continue to keep Little Man in prayer. If things would go down hill on him. I don't want him to linger. He helped me so much through Ed's passing and I want to do right by him if and when it comes to that time. It will be hard for me because him being here has almost been like Ed is still around. God will bring me through it. Like I said if and when the time comes. He is 15 so the Vet said that makes him 72 yrs old.
Sorry I was so long getting it posted here. After I did that email computer started acting strange. Must be the ice then the snow out there.
So for now we wait and pray. He does not act like he is in any pain. He is eating well. Not drinking too much. Again I thank all of you so much.
Paula that eagle flying over that house was a "good luck sign". I like it and I think you and your family is going to enjoy it there very much. I am very HAPPY (smiley face) for you.
Judie you did go to school??? WOW gal you are really doing very well. I'm still keeping prayers up for you though.
Shirley same for you...keeping prayers going. Shirley is MCI the only phone lines in your area??? If there was any other I would change to them. I had MCI and got larger phone bills than other companies and I didn't like their server even though I had the warranty that I paid for. They would say they were coming, I'd wait they wouldn't come. I changed to another company!!! I was glad I did.
Hello, glad to be home! We had quite a bit of clean up to do after Soup Kitchen closed, so we are a little late getting home. The roads are very slippery and none, including Opequon Hill have been worked on or cindered:( I had to leave my vehicle at the church and ride home with Gene...I don't drive when there are more than 22 flakes of snow! I am a hazard to other drivers when the roads are bad, so, everyone in Martinsburg should thank me for not driving:) We were pleased to have 20 guests tonight and they were pleased that we were open and they could have a warm meal.
Off to watch our favorite Tuesday Night Shows...all new!!
Glad you are home, Wanda.....don't blame you one bit! I'm sure people wished I wasn't on the road in snow when I did it because I am sensible and go slow! I don't even try to go the speed limit then! I pull over when possible so they can fly on by----and if they wreck---oh well! I ain't stoppin' for them!
People will just NOT slow down when it is snowing and there is ice under this snow. grrrrr
Glad you made it home Wanda and Gene. Sounds like the soup kitchen was another hit again. I am sure many are very thankful for it.
There is a guy from Haiti that now lives in Frederick. He was telling about how bad it still is over there. He said he has 100's of family members. I thought golly 100's. Then he told that his grandfather had almost 40 children. Now that has been a poverty stricken country for years. Someone a long time ago should have neutered that grandfather!!!!!
My students will feel blessed that they have another day, but it really means that they have no excuse not to get everything done.
I reminded my Bl. 4 students that they have an exam on Friday and one of the girls said, "I won't be here on Friday. Mrs. Phillips, you know I don't come on Fridays." Geesh. I'm supposed to have the school re-schedule exams for her convenience?
Of course, now it is anyone's guess what is going to happen with exams. Maybe the good Lord is going to get them canceled.
Good Evening Everyone in Snowflake Land! Good to see that Judie ventured to school today! Congrats & thx Darth for being escort! Glad Little Man is doing pretty good! ☺ Hope everyone stays safe & Margy goes to work in a sleigh! Snow here didn't start here til about 7:30PM. Before that, we had "mist" that froze on wooden steps, deck. It melted on concrete. Now there's crunchy snow over the ice! For 10 minutes at Park, around 1 PM, we had flakes that looked like marshmallows!!!If that continued, I was going to bail, but all stopped. Not one eagle seen today, but had a male towhee under feeder all day. Got a couple pics, but too bleary-eyed to deal with now.
Yes, the sandperson is calling my name. Was forced to consume a quantity of chocolate ice cream followed by a percocet. My ankle is protesting its first day of serious effort.
Glad to see that most all are safe at home and that Mai has discovered the joys of unrestrained snow play. Am wishing other four-legged friends improved health.
For those who must go out tomorrow, please take care and go slowly. Looks as if the snow has stopped here.
Shirley, enjoy the day off. Wonder if that student has some real problem with school of Friday -- maybe a responsibility at home? Nah! Just long weekends, probably.
Turning my light off but leaving the night light on for others coming in, headed back the hallway, to the tub, or just hangin' out till sunrise. Pleasant snow dreams to all.
Arizona passes bill making it illegal to protest near a funeral chicago.gopride.com Arizona lawmakers have voted unanimously Tuesday to pass emergency legislation that would block the controversial Westboro Baptist Church (WBC) from picketing within 300 feet of a funeral in that state. Tueday's legislative action is in response to WBC's planned protest at the funerals of those
guess Lynn's Carolyn is chugging along to work now...she has about maybe 15-20? miles to travel, I only have about 3 Sure you will be glad to hear when she arrives at her work roost Lynn, glad Christie made it home okay
glad Shirley has a snow day off, wonder who else will
I do not know what the problem is with Fridays for that student, Judie. I went back and looked at her record because I did not remember a consistent pattern of absences on Fridays and there really is not one. She has missed about the last three Fridays, but other days as well.
I remember that one of my students told several months ago that me she has a job at Nissan Pavilion and was working very late at night. I think it might have been this girl. I had told her that it was against the law for someone so young to work such late hours.
But my memory fails me. I can't remember who that was. I think it might be the same girl.
But this girl has quite an attitude and acted insulted that I would dare schedule an important test on a Friday. Of course, it is the school that scheduled this event.
She got insulted by another teacher who objected to her making lots of noise unwrapping a snack in the middle of an SOL test.
Hunter was talking about the WBC the other day. He has decided they are an awful group of people. I have to agree. I think their agenda is to get attention and to anger people to the point they do something to justify a lawsuit. You can believe they will take the Arizona people right to court. Just watch.
Definitely needs an attitude adjustment . . . Judie may have a point. Maybe there is a good reason behind it. But she tries to intimidate her teachers. She is a piece of work.
Arizona bill makes it a misdemeanor punishable by up to six months in jail to picket or conduct other protest activities within 300 feet of a funeral or burial service — about the length of a football field. The prohibition applies from one hour before the event to one hour after.
It's not as stiff as I would like it to be, but it is a start in the right direction.
Evening all. So nice to read all of the reports on our eagles!
Judie, so glad you had a good day with Darth in tow at school! Hope you rest well tonight.
Paula, congrats on the beach house!
Dana, hope Little Man will be OK.
Vets and pets...so frustrating with lab results. It's an often said phrase in the business..."if only they could talk, we could get that one key piece of information that we need for this to all make sense".
Lynn, I'll be Mai was just precious running around in the snow!
Wanda, glad you all had such a good turnout tonight. I'm sure the guest were extra appreciative to have a place to go this evening!
Hope Margy and Christie get to work safely!
Hope Lolly and Co. had fun at the game tonight!
I'm heading to bed. It's been a very stressful few days. I've got 2 sick cats....one VERY sick. Took both to the vet (I babysit my vet's kids on Tues evenings! She is the daughter of my very good friend Gail). My 25 mile drive home tonight in the snow with 2 sick cats was horrific. I am just very thankful to be home safe and sound.
And I hope all of your loved ones are where they should be and safe as well on this nasty night. I will see you all tomorrow...no Irvine, no babysitting, just cleaning and laundry to do here.
I am about ready to head upstairs. Actually went to bed about 9:00 and got up because I could not sleep. I took a pain pill. My shoulder is bothering me quite a bit.
Guess I didn't get enough sleep last night, I kept falling asleep during TGW, and wasn't able to follow the story line:(
It was good to hear that Judie was accompanied to school by DARTH. Wonder what he thought of the "WANNABE ADULTS"? Rest well, Judie♥ Sounds like Shiley is back into the swing of things:) Nose OK now, SHIRLEY?
I hate to hear of the amount of Little Man's tests, etc. and still no explanation of what his problem is! Hope everything works out for him.
300 ft. is a pretty good distance, JO, but like Lynn said, a mile would be better! That whole bunch of people make me so angry. Have they ever done anything for the good of the people?
Hi, Everyone, Got home from school OK (Thankfully, no snow out here in SoCal!). Ran late tonight--we're discussing resumes and cover letters in class, and have to write ours by next week. Have to "prepare for a job interview" too. I greatly dislike all three!
Dana, Still praying for Little Man, and hoping for a good report on the lab results. Glad he doesn't seem to be in pain, and is eating OK. That's always a good sign.
Lynne, Praying for your sick kitties! Gosh, I'm so sorry that you've had such a rough day! Sounds like AWFUL weather to have to be on the road. Hope the cats are better in the morning. Glad you don't have to go anywhere tomorrow!
Lynn, Would have LOVED to see Mai in the snow! Bet she and Emma would have a real BLAST together! Emma loved snow, ice, sleet, and -4 degree weather! She was a good girl today, too. Spent a couple of hours in my lap watching TV with me. She loves the show "Dogs 101" on Animal Planet! The episode we watched today included English Springer Spaniels!
Judie, I'm SO glad that your day at the big schoolhouse went well! Many thanks to Darth for taking such good care of you! We're on the same page, by the way. Ice cream is my cure for anything! The perc definitely helps, too. Sleep well! Thanks for turning on the night light.
I'm checking to make sure the porch light is on. (Don't want to trip when Emma has to go out!) Prayers have been said for everyone. The eye-scanner security and Dana's thumbprint-scanner security are enabled. Sleep tight, everyone, and I will talk to you tomorrow. God bless, and goodnight! Love all of you! :o]
Well I missed the eagles but so glad Sissy and Megan got to see them. I had to let Little Man out to the loo then wipe his feeties.
Lynne2 praying for your kitties to feel better very soon.
Andy do you only have MCI out there?
When I came on I had taken a picture of the nest full of snow. No foot prints in it at that time. Now there are eagle foot prints in the snow in nest. ( :
GOOD MORNING EVERYONE... JIM, we had about 2 inches of snow here in 'Nestville. The roads were very bad last night, and cars are still moving very slowly. How long has it been since you've seen snow?
well, laundry will not get clean if you forget the detergent. Water will not get hot if you forget to turn the burner on under it. Bird feeders will not get filled if you leave the cup of seeds sitting on the counter.
I think I should have gone back to bed this morning.
Wind is crazy now here! Looks like a blizzard with sunshine out there!
There was an accident down the road here this morning. Why in the world the police didn't stop and turn traffic here is a mystery to me. They were turning folks around at the bottom of the hill instead. So I stayed out there an turned people around in our driveway. The school bus driver went ahead anyway. Dummy. It took her forever to turn the bus around and get back up the hill. One of the guys I stopped was the brother of the accident victim! He parked here and ran down. It seems and SUV flipped into the woods and was upside down with her trapped in it. Wish I knew how she made out.
Hi, Lynne, et al., Lynne, that sounds like a plan to me! Let's pretend it's Groundhog Day. Hope your kitties are feeling better! Prayers for them continue from this roost.
I'm having all kinds of "fun" here. Our printer has died, and I decided to hook up one that we got for free when we bought a PC many years ago. We never even opened the box, since the printer that just died was working like a champ back then. Now that I desperately need a printer for my homework, I find that the stupid thing has no cords with it! No power cord, and no usb printer cable to connect it to the laptop! Great. Well, guess I'm going printer shopping this morning. Will have to look at those Kodak printers that are supposed to save you mega-$$$$ on ink.
Hubby is staying home today (vacation day) so he can have fun at the DMV. Has to take a written test and do a vision test to renew his driver's license. Hope they're not super busy--he's going to be there before they open. Don't know if he will, but he should let them know while he's there that he lost the front license plate on his car. We think it happened when he hit and ran over a big (hopefully empty) cardboard box on the freeway the other morning on the way to work. Car in the next lane hit it, and it bounced in front of our car with no time to avoid it.
David Nelson who starred on his parents popular tv show "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet", has died Tuesday. He was 74 and had been battling complications of colon cancer. READ THE STORY HERE
oh GEEZ Andy!! Your day is going about as well as mine!
One cat, Mitzi, she'll be just fine. She was loosing hair and had scabs all over head. It's just allergies and she's on meds now.
The other...the infamous "Freakshow in a Fur Jumpsuit" (Brother Cat) may not fair so well. He's had occassional diarrhea for a couple of months, been parasite tested, diet changed etc. but it has been getting steadily worse despite treatment for it. It's now just water, and very frequent, for the last couple of days. He's had some bloodwork done, but tests won't be back until tomorrow sometime. The vet is very concerned.
Well, hope hubby makes out well at the DMV! And I hope you find just the right printer!
Finished coffee and scanned the paper. Now need to read some material for tomorrow class. Have PT at 2pm. Wonder what I'll be challenged to do today?
Wanda, glad the soup kitchen was successful. Why not with your outstanding menus.
Happy everyone arrived safely home and work. Had about 2" at most and street is just slush. No excuse to cancel PT.
Lynne2, so glad you made it home safely but am really sorry about the furry friends. Always made me so panicky when ours were sick. Hope today will see improvement for both. Sounds as if you have been a bit distracted this morning -- maybe a nap will help?
Sharon, enjoy the warmth. This time of year, a furnace is our best friend.
I agree, Jo. Would much prefer a "stay away" order.
Hi Judie! Hope PT goes well today! You are such a trooper! Darth too! I think some chocolate ice cream would help me today!!! But I surely will have an early bed time tonight!
Good morning all! Slow start here. TOo many little things to tend to....several phone calls. Carolyn made it home from work safely. Christie has not gotten a call to go out----yet! Mai is napping after a so-so morning. At least I don't have any new open wounds. Wind IS blowing like crazy and it IS like a blizzard blowing snow off the roof. Half of the deck areas are shoveled....and I am pooped. SIL said he would bring wood today....hope he does----I'll let him finish shoveling.
Lynne, hope things improve with the cat.....but it does sound serius.
Andy, don't think I have ever bought a printer that had the cables! DUMB! Don't know why it isn't plainly stated on the box!

Snowflakes are in the valley!
I sent Kristen home as she is going westward! As soon as she calls that she is home and as soon as Jenny and Susie calls that they are home - Then
I can enjoy the snowflakes!
BWE Lisa Webmaster says in response to my email as to
What's in their nest --- something they ate?
Yes, looks like a duck or coot
Finally snowing in Frederick
Thanks JO...sure does look like it is a meal for quite some time right now there
Glad Kristen is on her way, will be glad when you report back that all your chickies are back in their roosts...
back to eating and cooking now
gracious what a pile of feathers in that nest !! Good bedding for the upcoming snowstuff they might get
this afternoon
The soup kitchen menu sounds delish.
Andy, what a pia waiting for MCI
Lolly, enjoy the movie!
nothing falling out of the sky right now here in Martinsburg
but it was earlier...
I guess that is what you call a
"feather bed" at BWE......
BWE nest is a mess..feathers feathers everywhere!
Margy, I know what's different about your posting...your name Magpie is capitalized...kept throwing me off!
you're right Paula!
Not even sure why I decided to do that
I go back to little magpie now ☺
Featherbed, Jo..good one !
I did email Steve about the H-P sigthing this morning
Wow! My snowflakes have stopped!
I wish it were for good BUT...
Do you think anyone got a pic of the HP
HONEY is up and about at the pond again
Wonder if she wants her snow covered panda bear..... She is a Hoot!
Thanks magpie~! ☺
Jo, mine have stopped too!
Back to work!
One eagle still at BWE
Honey is walking by again.......
Well I just checked to see if I could see Honey again...... I missed it BIG time. Honey picked up the stuffed Panda bear toy and took it back with her into her den.. Toooooo Funny.
It's flaking again here, might be the real thing this time
BWE Lisa just emailed me
It was a male mallard. I just posted a new photo on the cam page.
Check it out
I agree with Lisa that 'eating in the nest' prediction of egg laying soon to come.
Really good photos......
wow, Jo...that is something else!
Thanks for the information...
It is the real thing here in the 'ville...............coming down heavily, but not furiously. ARGH. I HATE SNOW.

Sorry your exam was postponed....:(
Now you have to get psyched again.
Anxious to hear from Judie, Shirley and Dana.
As quickly as that, snow stopped again!! We'll see how long that lasts!
I am getting really tired of having to refresh the den cam and those dumb ads.
Cute shot of Lily and Hope nose-to-nose.
Looks like Lily might be licking Hope.
Chili is done, crackers set aside and grated cheese for taking to work later. I add green peppers, anyone else?
haven't made chili since being in this roost, but it looks and smells okay too hot to taste yet
guess I could set aside a tasty tester in a big spoon ☺
Chili is done and so am I, time to get some rest before midnight shift
Hope the afternoon and evening are full of nice cam views, nest visits, and good times at your roosts
hoping to read good reports later on
God Bless Us, Every One
xo ♥
Oh, Jo
That Birds & Blooms issue is great!
Andy, Mai's favorite toy is her stuffed doggy!!
Snowing again and you can see it on our cam, too. Wind has picked up.
Lily is very busy licking SOMETHING....and I don't think it's Hope.
Oh, it's her foot!!!! Showing plainly now!
I think they both have fleas!!!! Scratch-scratch-scratch!!!
Ah gotta love technology. We sit in our home and watch a bear den cam in Minnesota, and b**** when it's not right, LOL
Cool pic of the mallard! Eagles back at BWE
2369 viewers plus me just signing on to the Den Cam..........
I wonder if Lily were alone would she sleep constantly like I thought
hibernation meant.
I mean Honey sure proves the meaning
to be incorrect......
Hello Little Hope - She is looking as though she expects someone again...
Hope was getting her ears cleaned
At least I am thinking that with the den cam as it is now, we will be able to see Lily cuddle a new cub(s) under her chin.
Looks like little hope is sometimes
Lily's pillow.
Taking a break - catching some news.
EAGLES IN OUR NEST
Preparing that egg well...
moving sticks...
Poof for Belle
Now Lib can do whatever fixing of the sticks that he wants.......
YOu are not alone Jo....was just turning things off here
Voila !
Now make that one that left come back
Poof for Lib
Perhaps they will return
Not sure what time BEagle comes home
And poof....MT nest again.
Don't see snow there now. Very fine here.
Margy it is snowing pretty steadily
here now...... You can see that the sky is just full of it.
Your chili will be great tonight.
LOL, Paula.....right you are! But it certainly does seem to be positioned perfectly now and barring any Lily mishaps, yes, we should have a good viewing as Jo says!
Goodnight, Margy! GO TO BED!!!!
Well as I said before our eagles came, I am taking a break!
See you later.
Yes, Mother Lynn ☺
'Night xo
Dana is on momster mail......wonder why she hasn't checked in here to let us know about Little Man????
Jo, tonight is our big TV night!!! About time, I say!
Christie got home from DC around 2 (left home at 5AM). In dentist chair here now....and then supposed to be in Frederick for a nail apptmt. at 7.....I won't rest easy til she's safely home.
And then will start worrying again come 11 when Carolyn leaves to head into work. Mothers never get breaks from worry, no matter how old the kids get.
Pics for today (am & pm) should be in order in the E_M album.....
Just as I was taking Mai down to go out, heard a very loud plane....don't know if it was at our nest or the den cam! Anyone else hear it??
Hi Lynn. Did not hear a plane and I do have the live feed up.
Yes, I am anxious for Dana to get over hear from emails - I want to know
if all of our prayers did any good for Lil' Man............
So very very glad to hear from you Judi
Sounds like a very successful day -
get some rest!
Will you all excuse my other comment
where I said 'hear' and meant to type 'here....... I know better!
OH wow, Judie was at class! Didn't quite realize that!
See more snow on the nest. And, I want to go to Lily's den and wipe clean the cam lens. Don't worry, I will say "It's me bear."
Laurel just called. She calls every day after school. Anyway, as she was talking to me she saw a hawk swoop down and catch a mouse, or something small. She said it was not dangling like a snake. It was very close to her.
Judie, you sounded good. Sounds like you enjoyed getting back to school. That is good, very good!
Uh, oh, getting dark at the nest.
Jack and I had a private showing. LOL No one else was in the theatre.
I see the snow falling at the nest.
Brrrrrr! The nest looks cold. Time for Wanda to take an electric blanket up there.
Have not accomplished on thing today. Think I will go do one task. That is all....one thing. LOL Do not want to be an over achiever.
Sleeting here now.
Michael just called. We are heading to Dallas to see the STARS play hockey. See ya later, Gaters!
Eagle cams put to bed -
Darkness prevails
Dinner is over - Roast beef in the crock pot!
Love those last minute plans, Lolly
I'm sure you will enjoy your evening..
Especially if you sit next to Zach!
In car, see Dallas skyline'. Zacharoo will definitly sit by me!
Howdy!
LOL we were talking about the snow coming and stopping...well it is putting it down now! Slow, but OK drive home...roads became covered quickly.
Have a great evening, Lolly!
Whoops, not Wanda. Lolly has the coat problem.
The dog came back in totally covered in snow...I think he was out there making snow dog angels :)
My delete computer really acting crazy must be the weather.
Let's try this again:
Hi all....Ok about Little Man after $435.00 I still don't know yet what is wrong. There was a certain blood test that won't
be back until Monday. All x-rays did not show a stone, cyst, or tumors. So good to go there. His prostate is fine. His liver
enzymes are up might need to change from the Maintenance Diet to Senior Diet (which won't be a problem changing it a little at a time). She wants to wait to do anything until this test comes back.
Has to do with kidney's. She said she might want to do another test about a hormone that could raise liver enzymes. She mentioned possibly if nothing shows with those two test she could do
a sonogram but whatever it would show he is too old to operate on. So it would not be any sense in doing a sonogram.
So for now no change in diet---waiting for blood work to come back as I said should be Monday.
I thank you for your prayers and asking if you would continue to keep Little Man in prayer. If
things would go down hill on him.
I don't want him to linger. He helped me so much through Ed's passing and I want to do right by
him if and when it comes to that time. It will be hard for me because him being here has almost
been like Ed is still around.
Paula that eagle flying over that house was
a "good luck sign". I like it and I think
you and your family is going to enjoy it
there very much. I am very HAPPY (smiley face)
for you.
Judie you did go to school??? WOW gal you are
really doing very well. I'm still keeping prayers
up for you though.
Shirley same for you...keeping prayers going.
Shirley is MCI the only phone lines in your
area??? If there was any other I would change
to them. I had MCI and got larger phone bills
than other companies and I didn't like their
server even though I had the warranty that I
paid for. They would say they were coming, I'd
wait they wouldn't come. I changed to another
company!!! I was glad I did.
I pray all family members get home safely.
Having breakfast for dinner!
Dana, it is Andy with the MCI problem.
They said Nugz liver enzymes was up too...will retest after done antibiotic for UTI...
Don't you love they run all those tests and still don't know...
Have been praying for Little Man and watching for your post Dana
Prayers from here for Little Man, Dana.
Dana, well sounds like some good news for Little Man. Hope the other test comes back good, too.
Mai decided that she LOVES snow---silly pup. About 15 laps around the yard in all directions, with a couple of leaps!! Tuckered out now, for sure.
Lolly, hope your team wins!
Just saw the cross-eyed possum on the news. Has his own FB page---in German!
Possums have a hard time seeing to begin with - this poor little one..
I'm glad he is famous and will be well taken care of.....
Snowing here.
I'll be back to check things out during my commercials during the next
3 hrs. It's Terrific Tuesday TV
BBL
Hello, glad to be home!
We had quite a bit of clean up to do after Soup Kitchen closed, so we are a little late getting home.
The roads are very slippery and none, including Opequon Hill have been worked on or cindered:( I had to leave my vehicle at the church and ride home with Gene...I don't drive when there are more than 22 flakes of snow! I am a hazard to other drivers when the roads are bad, so, everyone in Martinsburg should thank me for not driving:)
We were pleased to have 20 guests tonight and they were pleased that we were open and they could have a warm meal.
Off to watch our favorite Tuesday Night Shows...all new!!
Oh, so that's the cross eyed possom on my home page, LOL
Christie is home safe and sound....but admitted that she almost pulled over twice to call Shannon to come get her!!! She says it is BAD!
Jeopardy down. Time for NCIS!!
Just in time, Wanda-----vehicle in a ditch w/ injuries at the county line on 45!
Snow day tomorrow. No school for me.
Someone a long time ago
should have neutered that grandfather!!!!!
2" here already, still coming down.
Good point, Dana.
Lynn, I'll bet that was fun to watch Mei.
Wonder how many women were involved? Surely there were quite a few.
Well, it is too bad I do not have my research papers to work on tomorrow, but there is nothing I can do about that.
2" of sleet first and now 2" of snow----going to be very slippery out there
I'm heading for the tv
bbl
Oh Hedgie-Lynn thank you for the WONDERFUL comments about Mai in the snow. I love hearing what she is up to. lol funny doggie (:
You got that right, Dana! Absurd!
Good Evening Everyone in Snowflake Land!
Good to see that Judie ventured to school today! Congrats & thx Darth for being escort!
Glad Little Man is doing pretty good! ☺
Hope everyone stays safe & Margy goes to work in a sleigh!
What has Lily done to the cam??? Hopefully it's just hot breath condensation!!! Appears that all is quiet.
Glad that you made it home safely, too, Loretta!!
Luckily, no 2" of ice here.....probably less than 1/4"....snow under and over. YUCK!
Heading for tub. Will watch NCIS: LA later. BBIALW.
I missed NCIS dang!!!
Dana did you watch the 9:00 NCIS:LA
I am so sorry you missed NCIS
Are you going to watch The Good Wife?
Happy that Lil' Man is doing well.
Snow has stopped!!!!
Juuuuudie? Juuuuuudie? Time to sleep, girl.
Good night Belle and Lib.
Good night bears.
Starting to doze in front of TV.
Still light snow here--maybe 2"--very pretty.
Gotta check da bears ☺
Arizona passes bill making it illegal to protest near a funeral
chicago.gopride.com
Arizona lawmakers have voted unanimously Tuesday to pass emergency legislation that would block the controversial Westboro Baptist Church (WBC) from picketing within 300 feet of a funeral in that state. Tueday's legislative action is in response to WBC's planned protest at the funerals of those
Wonderful news! Those people are not true chritians, you know! Just what are they, anyway and what is their agenda?
Hello Eagle Pals
guess it's time to get it together need to leave time to clear off the car
appreciate the update on Little Man, hope test results will give promising answers and he will improve and have many years of happy life ahead of him
Hope Judie's ankle recovers from her busy day
snowflakes as big as marshmallows, would love to have seen that, Loretta, and a Towhee ! You Lucky Girl!
guess Lynn's Carolyn is chugging along to work now...she has about maybe 15-20? miles to travel, I only have about 3
Sure you will be glad to hear when she arrives at her work roost Lynn, glad Christie made it home okay
glad Shirley has a snow day off, wonder who else will
I do not know what the problem is with Fridays for that student, Judie.
She got insulted by another teacher who objected to her making lots of noise unwrapping a snack in the middle of an SOL test.
glad to hear the Soup Kitchen went well, Wanda ! Like those numbers on the guests!
How is your trail cam doing? Bet there are some nice snow views...
Did you notice, you have well over 17,000 visits to your profile ???
Paula - tell us sometime about our avatar....I think you have in the past but some of have CRS you know, us older folks ☺
Thanks for putting all the E-M pics in order, Jo - You Rock !
gotta go....
Take Care, all
Sleep Sweetly
Thinking of Brandon's family, hope they find peace and strength with the help, comfort, and prayers from family and friends.
God Bless Us, Every One
xo ♥
Berkeley Co two hour delay, Jefferson closed, no word on Morgan yet...that's all in WV
Hunter was talking about the WBC the other day. He has decided they are an awful group of people. I have to agree. I think their agenda is to get attention and to anger people to the point they do something to justify a lawsuit. You can believe they will take the Arizona people right to court. Just watch.
Judie, I had choco/pb ice cream!
Hope your I/C and perc help you sleep soundly and recuperatively.
Shirley, me think the young lady in question needs an attitude adjustment!!
Carolyn was in Tomahawk a few minutes ago....mostly slushy. I heard snow plows on Rt. 9 a little while ago.
As I said on FB, Wanda.....100 ft. is a cop-out. Should have been at least a mile!
Definitely needs an attitude adjustment . . . Judie may have a point. Maybe there is a good reason behind it. But she tries to intimidate her teachers. She is a piece of work.
I thought it was 300 feet, Lynn
I need to read it again
Arizona bill makes it a misdemeanor punishable by up to six months in jail to picket or conduct other protest activities within 300 feet of a funeral or burial service — about the length of a football field. The prohibition applies from one hour before the event to one hour after.
It's not as stiff as I would like it to be, but it is a start in the right direction.
Yep---I was right about Lily chewing her feet!
Bear report
You're right, Jo---300'....my goof.
I'm tired!!!
Carolyn was almost to Mickey D's to get her coffee......no problems!
With that, I can turn in. YAWN!
Hope everyone has a cozy night. Sure that Mai will have me up in a few hours.
Prayers for all. See you tomorrow!
I'm tired too - all 3 TV shows were
very good.
Wishing for all of you to have a peaceful sleep.. and sunshine in the morning.
Prayers for all needs/wants
Hugs for all ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Evening all.
Waiting for the last load of laundry to dry....cleaning clothes out of my closets, washing and giving to goodwill.
Think they are about done, so gonna shutdown for tonight.
Love the AZ bill.
Hugs to all ♥
Prayers for doggies and kitties and peoples ♥
I was looking to see who had posts today at 1:11 or 11:11 am or pm on this 1/11/11 and no one posted on those times!
Oh, Lynne, so sorry about the sick kitties. And about your awful drive. I hope the kitties are much better very soon.
I am about ready to head upstairs. Actually went to bed about 9:00 and got up because I could not sleep. I took a pain pill. My shoulder is bothering me quite a bit.
It is taking effect now, so it is time to sleep.
Good night and God bless.
Guess I didn't get enough sleep last night, I kept falling asleep during TGW, and wasn't able to follow the story line:(
It was good to hear that Judie was accompanied to school by DARTH. Wonder what he thought of the "WANNABE ADULTS"? Rest well, Judie♥
Sounds like Shiley is back into the swing of things:) Nose OK now, SHIRLEY?
I hate to hear of the amount of Little Man's tests, etc. and still no explanation of what his problem is! Hope everything works out for him.
300 ft. is a pretty good distance, JO, but like Lynn said, a mile would be better! That whole bunch of people make me so angry. Have they ever done anything for the good of the people?
GOOD NIGHT MY FRIENDS
SLEEP TIGHT
PRAYERS FOR ALL
On our way home! Had a great time with Zach tonight! Night all! Sweet dreams!
Hi, Everyone,
Got home from school OK (Thankfully, no snow out here in SoCal!). Ran late tonight--we're discussing resumes and cover letters in class, and have to write ours by next week. Have to "prepare for a job interview" too. I greatly dislike all three!
Dana,
Still praying for Little Man, and hoping for a good report on the lab results. Glad he doesn't seem to be in pain, and is eating OK. That's always a good sign.
Lynne,
Praying for your sick kitties! Gosh, I'm so sorry that you've had such a rough day! Sounds like AWFUL weather to have to be on the road. Hope the cats are better in the morning. Glad you don't have to go anywhere tomorrow!
Lynn,
Would have LOVED to see Mai in the snow!
Judie,
I'm SO glad that your day at the big schoolhouse went well!
We are home now. No snow or ice here but it is in the lower 20's. Having a cup of hot chocolate before heading to bed.
Nite once again!
Nite Andy!
'Night, Lolly!
Sure glad you made it home OK! Sleep tight!
Good morning everyone! I see a snowy nest started to appear in the darkness.
EAGLE!!
Eagle just flew in!
Now BOTH
Both of them! YAY!
HP!!!!!
HP!
HP!!!!!
EAGLE LOVE!!
I can hear the wind really good but not the eagles. Wonder why that is?
Both gone!! :(((
Well I missed the eagles but so glad Sissy and Megan got to see them.
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
GooD Morning,
EveryonE.
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Weather here in So Cal is about the same, but I see you guys got another load of snow over night.
Drive carefully (in fact, walk carefully) judging on all the ice they had on the roads and sidewalks down South.
C(°ٿ°)D Jim
GOOD MORNING EVERYONE...
JIM, we had about 2 inches of snow here in 'Nestville. The roads were very bad last night, and cars are still moving very slowly.
How long has it been since you've seen snow?
Good morning my eagle budlets!
Furnace is fixed and working. Yay!
Sharon sorry did not know you was having furnance problems. So glad you have heat now!!!
well, laundry will not get clean if you forget the detergent.
Hi, Lynne, et al.,
Lynne, that sounds like a plan to me!
Lynne2 how are you kitties?
David Nelson who starred on his parents popular tv show "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet",
has died Tuesday. He was 74 and had been battling complications of colon cancer.
READ THE STORY HERE
My eyelids are closing so I'm going for a panda nap.....move over Little Man. Here I come>>>>>>>>>>>
bbl
oh GEEZ Andy!!
Good mid-morning, everyone.
Missed our eagles. Slept late.
Good morning, Jim.
Dana, how's Little Man this a.m.?
Okay, now to prepare for tomorrow. BBL
Dana, feel better! Hope L-Man is doing OK!
I'm off to babysit next door for few hours. Was hoping the wind would hold off so we could go play in the snow, but it's NASTY out there now!
Hi Judie! Hope PT goes well today! You are such a trooper! Darth too! I think some chocolate ice cream would help me today!!! But I surely will have an early bed time tonight!
See you all later!
Just in time, I hope, to catch you and say Good Morning before the split
