Headliner in local paper today is that perps from a local bank robbery in Nov. were gunned down in FL following another heist, chase and aiming a weapon at police. The woman was killed. Must have thought they were Bonnie and Clyde! Apparently had robbed banks throughout the country. Killing and capture took place very near to wear my mom lived when she was in FL---I know the road....and know that Bobbi Schoenhans does, too.
So my late sleeping habit in the morning caused me to miss the HP again! One of these days I'll be there and see for myself! Good ole Lib and Belle I wonder how many eaglets we will be blessed with this season.....
I was up very early, but I got tired and took a nap..feel better now.
Wanda, it's been a while since I lived in snow country (Minn. ... '44), but we do have mountains in So Cal too, and they often have snow on them. It's about a 2 hour drive to a day in the snow. And, very, very occasionally, it snows on or near the beach too.
Gene had an appointment at the VA this morning and said the roads are pretty good. So, venture out if you must, but with caution. He had a Rx change, have to tell you about it later. Busy here this morning.
Good morning! Happy to read about more HP. Hurrah for Lib and Belle. Slept really late after last nights adventure. Boy, that was a spur of the moment trip and loads of fun. Michael has season tickets he shares with friends. He also gets the firms tickets. These were the firms tickets for 4 and Ashley already had other plans. Zach wanted me to spend the night and sleep with him. That would have been interesting!
I am enjoying my day off. I did go out to take Hunter to school this morning. He had a two-hour delay, which means he was supposed to be there at approximately 11:00. I got him there a bit after 1O:30.
It is nice for him to get to sleep in a bit sometimes and for Kathryn to go in without having to go to the sitter's first.
Lynne, so sorry about your sick kitties. That is really rough. How old is Brother Cat?
Annie is maintaining her weight. Jack weighs her occasionally. What we have noticed is she drinks tons of water. I think I remember the vet saying that with her problem they drink a lot. But, she looks good, eats good, poops good, and acts good. She purrs a lot and want to be petted all the time. We still feel good about our decision.
Hi, Gang, Back again with a printer update. Found (among the zillion cords I have saved in a cupboard) a power cord that works with the new, unused printer! AND...the USB cord from the old, dead printer works with the new one!! YAY!!! Had to get an update to go with the installation disk, but got it installed and registered successfully, so am good to go!!!!!!!! Phew!!! May still look for a new Kodak printer within the next few months, since I will be printing so much stuff, but at least I am able to do current homework and stuff. What a relief!
Lynne, Sure am sorry to hear that "Freakshow" kitty is having such miserable problems! Glad your other kitty is on meds and getting better now. Prayers continue!
Emma is having a blast right now--I discovered a big Nylabone that we had bought for our last dog, Molly, but never gave to her. Guess who's inherited it, and is beside herself, with such a big chewy bone to dig into?!! That should keep her busy for a while!
Golly, it looks REALLY cold at the nest! Brrrrr!! Feels like 15 degrees? No thanks! Hope you are all managing to keep warm inside!
Well, hope MCI shows up today. I am going to call and try to get a live person, and will tell them that this situation is just ridiculous, and unless they get a repairman out like, YESTERDAY, we are going to go back to AT&T. Will certainly demand an adjustment on our bill, too! Grrrrrr!!!
Well, gotta get busy and get a few things done. Will check back in later.
Well I guess its Good Afternoon. These are busier times for me. Its a good thing. Heading to turn on the cam?s now. Hope all of you with this snow will stay safe and warm.
Hi! Have read back a bit here. Lynne, hope the accident victim is OK. Scary! Judie, Praying that your PT goes really well! Dana, Hope you and Little Man feel great after your nap! Still praying for Little Man! Please, everyone, say some prayers for me, that I am able to figure out how to do Grayscale printing on this new printer! Takes an Act of Congress to get to that option, and then, printer apparently does what it wants, anyway! Don't want to use color ink unless necessary--all the colors are in one big, connected cartridge. Can see $$$$$$!!
Apparent victory for me: had bought a new parka for everyday basement use (firewood, dog, etc.) because zipper broke on old one, woodstove heat had singed the fauz-fur on the hood, and it was about 20 yrs. old! Didn't fit....so returned it and nothing else in store for amt. I wanted to spend. Found something online....ordered. Got letter in mail that credit card was rejected. Duh! I had entered the wrong exp. date. Called, got it straightened out and have been waiting and waiting since the 20th. Called again Mon. and they showed the correction there but order had not been sent through again. So they put it thru'; but I asked about expedited shipping...NOT UNLESS I WANTED TO PAY $15 FOR IT. Argh. Nope. 10-14 days USPS free. Get email today that it has been shipped Fed Ex.!!! They always say calls can be taped for quality assurance----guess maybe a supervisor listened and agreed that they needed to step it up!
LOL, Andy......hope it is working okay. For some stupid reason, with two printers hooked up, I can't get either to print more than one copy of something at a time. No matter how many times I change it from one to whatever, it still only prints one! Go figure!
Yea for you, Lynn. Wish I could get my coat replaced. Oh, well. I will just wait until next year. Have plenty of casual coats.
Just got off of the floor. I was cleaning out my bedside table. LOL My leg fell asleep. Sitting on the floor is NOT for me anymore. Not for long, anyway. Have stopped for lunch and then to Jack's bedsside table. I am a woman on a mission, cleaning out and throwing away! LOL
Can't believe my bad timing. Missed an eagle AGAIN!
Lolly, glad you all had fun last night. Were you all cheering for the winning team?
Lynne, any test results on Freakshow? Hope all will improve quickly.
Andy, glad you got lucky with the printer cord. I would never be that lucky. Don't know what Grayscale printing is, but hope you can get it to work. Emma looks adorable. I really do think you should call some authority regarding MCI service -- or lack thereof.
Lynn, good deal on the new coat. Hope you enjoy it as soon as it arrives.
Hi Glo and Paula.
Lolly, you're making me tired.
Shirley, hope you're having a good day away from "attitudes galore."
PT was really productive. Very painful. Tried but not ready for stairs. Will try again next week. Now off to bed to elevate the protesting ankle.
Hi, Gang! Just got back home a short while ago. Hubby took me to El Torito for lunch. He had gotten a gift card for that place for Christmas from someone at his work.
When we got home Hubby called and talked to MCI. They said that someone will DEFINITELY be here by 10 pm tonight! (Yeah, right.) They said they will credit us for all the time we've been without service. STILL feel like going back to AT&T!
Whew, Hubby, Emma, and I ALL smell like a salad! We got Emma's ears cleaned with a vinegar/water solution, though. She's a bit miffed with both of us now. Not badly miffed, just indignant. She'll learn to get over it. Gotta do it! Don't want a potato crop taking over in there! Trimming the nails is next, but fed her lunch, and she's napping now.
Well, got Jack to help clean out a little. He said he will do the rest later. Then I started on his closet. (Sorry I am making you tired, Judie!) Can't believe what I found there and threw out! I made my own wedding dress 46 years ago this spring. Had saved a bag of material scraps. LOL Also, the shoes I wore when we got married. Out they went! They were yucky! We have lived in the house almost 38 years and things accumulate. Wow! If I should go, I do not want Laurel to have to tend with my junk, Yikes! There would be plenty that I am still hanging on to.
Cooking some vegetable beef soup for tonight. I really enjoy it when the weather is cold. Kathryn likes it too. But I'm not sure about Hunter. He does not like different kinds of foods mixed together.
Lolly, you are very brave to let Jack help!!!!! You better go through anything he pitched, don't you think???
Judie, glad that PT went well. Don't rush the steps......they must be a scary proposition under the circumstances.
Andy, is this the first time that hubby called MCI???? You mean all it took was a MAN to get attention??? I cleaned Mai's ears today, too! Did I mention that I also found a puppy tooth on the floor while we played ball???
Got a lot of Christmas taken down and carried upstairs. Some loaded back into boxes. Tree is completely naked, so can get it down tomorrow. All I have left down here are the lighted trees, window candles and the tree collection on the coffee table.
I was going to prepare chili last night but that was quickly cancelled. So, tonight chili and cornbread. I do have a question...do you put beans in your chili? Michael and I are having an argument. He says beans do not go in chili. He says it is a Yankee thing to do to put beans in chili. I have always put beans in chili and I am definitely from the south, as south as you can get!!!
LOL So, are you considered in the south or the north? Michael just runs at the mouth and has strong opinions based on NOTHING!He in an attorney!!! OMG He thrived in debate in high school.
Don't see any eagles on any other nests. Yesterday was very nice. I got to see Belle and Lib periodically during the day now that the still cam is up and running.
Surprise! Hunter liked the soup, but refused the chocolate pudding I served for dessert. I saved some just in case. He should be glad he's an only child. Siblings would not be so considerate.
I think he wanted to go upstairs and play a computer game. Left alone, he would play computer games rather than eat, sleep, or just about anything else. Kathryn told him no X-box, but she did not say no computer. Not yet, at least.
His upstairs computer has parental controls on it. He has finished his homework. As long as there is no long division, that is usually not a problem.
Evening Everyone. Sorry I wasn't able to see any HP today, but wouldn't that be infringing on their privacy??LOL We got about 2 inches of snow--all roads cleared except Chelsea rock & dirt road, but we just make tire tracks in it & it's OK. Didn't see any animals around except geese. Sorry to hear of Lynne's sick kitties! Hope they are healing soon. Lolly, you are very brave to get rid of your wedding dress. I probably would have eventually gotten rid of mine as it must have shrunk over the years. It was a dressy regular dress and I did wear it, like to church on Easter, etc. I don't want anyone to have to go thru all my stuff, either. I could probably clothe a third world country. Jo, thanks for posting Mason's news. I hadn't read about his improvements. It's amazing! I met the NEATEST little guy today named Gus. I will put on some pics later & I will announce it!!! Gotta eat.
I love tapioca.....and cooked chocolate pudding. NOT the instant stuff! Can't imagine any kid turning down choco pudding, tho'!
Good to hear, BEagle. Transition can be hard, but WAITING is even worse!
Loretta, glad you had an easy commute. I took my wedding dress to Goodwill about 10 yrs. ago! It would probably fit since I weigh less now, but then again maybe not---things have shifted with age!! But neither of my girls could wear it, so what's the point of it taking up space??!!
I am not too happy if a cooked carrot lands in my applesauce, but I enjoy mixing applesauce with my macaroni and cheese and my corn into my mashed potatoes.
Saw my yard bunny hopping around in the snow tonight...was out last night too. Probably looking for food. Maybe I should throw a few carrots out there.
Cornbread is in the oven. There will be leftovers, Paula, but we will eat it again tomorrow. I cook the cornbread in a castiron skillet. We will eat half tonight an the other half tomrrow. I like it better ths second day. LOL No preparation.
We have been eating Chili for 3 days, minus last evening and including this evening. MANY red beans in ours with melted cheddar cheese on top along with a handful of oyster crackers. To be eaten in front of a roaring fire is part of the recipe. I haven't made chile in so many years that I have forgotten how. That is one of Capt. Gene's faves to fix. Gave some to GG and she said, today, that it was the best she has ever eaten. Had to put ice on his head to shrink it and get him to fit into the car:) My wedding dress was so yellowed and just hung in GG's basement reminding me that I would never be that small again. I have wanted to just dispose of it for years, but GG would have a fit. So, when the basement flooded this past year...out it went with all the other ruined things;)
BEagle, Darth likes tapioca pudding. I'm not such a big fan. Prefer plain ole vanilla for pudding.
Cincinnati is the chili without beans. Typically served over spaghetti. I prefer without beans. Cornbread baked in screamin' hot cast iron skillet. Guess I'm trying to keep peace between the north and the south.
Hmmm. Just imagine Suzan and Hunter having dinner together and chocolate pudding spilled all over their carrots, potatoes, and corn? Might make an interesting home video.lol
NCSuzan, hope dr. appt. went well.
Watch Lily and Hope. Lots of squirming and foot bathing and moaning and purring.
Hi Paula and Dana.
Loweeda, want to know about Gus, please and thank you.
Andy, sure hope the MCI person shows up tonight. Really do!
Okay, pain pill is taking effect and tomorrow will be my second day back at the big school house.
Will be turning my light out soon but will leave the night light on for others coming in, headed back the hallway, to the tub, to the chili and cornbread, or just wandering around looking for the sandperson. Hugs to all.
When we get tired of the Chili, as is...we put cooked macaroni in it, if there is a lot of broth, very good! I have to have meatball sized pieces of ground beef in my Chili. I think I am a Carnivore:)
My Chili is almost all beans & with some hamburger and lots of tomato puree and chopped tomatoes. I like Margy's chili & wish I could sneak a chopped green pepper in it - then I would probably be the only one to eat it.
I'm back for a sec....posted little buddy & a couple others. I never did eat!!Stupid 'puter got booged down doing pics. Guess I need some more RAM! I could run my Durango into it---it has a Ram!!! BBL....
OMG.....I will eat Hunter's pudding while I'm calling 911 for Child in Chocolate Denial.
Beans in chili is why I won't eat chili. And I am a Yankee.
Funny about people's eating habits...my niece won't allow food to touch each other. Neither will my friend Wendy, and her mom too! I, on the other hand, like to mix it all up. Especially with applesauce or mashed taters! Steve tends to eat one thing til it's gone and then moves on to another. My Gram would eat one bite of each thing and start over at the beginning until only one bite of each was left.
Been watching the Pres in AZ. WOW, Ms. Giffords opened her eyes today!
Interesting....lots of ways to prepare chili. I am with Judy on putting the cornbread into a screaming hot castiron skillet. And, we put shredded cheese on top. We just finished dinner and it was yummy!
Joseph eats one thing at a time, His least favorite is gone first! Jack and I eat the same. We vary our bites of food from everything on the plate, leaving a bite of our favorite to the last.
Hope is purring again, They slept so soundly all day.
No, not organized with eating, we just eat. However, we have noticed how Joseph eats one thing at a time and it made us realize how we eat. It has been discussed and laughed about.
Christie usually eats one thing at a time, too! And I take a bite of this, a bite of that.....make my way through each item in turn! But don't mind mixing corn or kraut with mashed taters, or applesauce on top of my pork chop, etc.! JMHO, but that whole thing was more like a pep rally than a memorial service. Think people should be more respectful, given the circumstances.
I notice that when hubby and I eat - when we are just about down to the last bite - there is a small amount of everything that was on our dish - meat, potato, veggie and bread.
I think I have a TV program on at 10. I really haven't done much since I've been back from dinner and visiting with Alexis. It sure was cold and windy to and from the car and house.
I think the Monday appointment was made when she saw the doctor for her ears. He wanted to see her again. She said the doctor does not speak any English. Her teacher went with her to translate.
I nibbled various things & next will be rool & butter and then dessert! Gotta load up---dreade4d dentist appt. in AM :>(. Normally, I like the dentist, but I'm fearful he might want to remove root that's left from broken off tooth. He may do nothing, or even reattach tooth w/rods, but I don't know, so gonna take a 1/2 tranq. and let Fubby do the driving!! He saw the little hedgehog's pic & thought he should have a pal! I don't know how they're allowed to be sold as pets--should be back over there w/their own kind.
Da bears are snoozing. Think the smaaler, darker blob in back is Hope. Thought I could see little nose & ears. Wonderful pictures, Shirley. Hope Susan gets well ASAP.
Goodnight, Shirley. Yeah---Monday is 5 days!! Margy, have a good shift. Loretta, I feel your "pain"---the dread is usually the worst part. Glad Frank is taking you and that you use the tranq! Shutting down here for the day. Peace and prayers!!
Our fire is almost out and so am I. Watched a new show tonight about doctors, etc. working in the jungle. I think I'm going to be a fan. Same producers as Grey's and Private Practice.
Good morning everyone! Still snowing down here in Bluefield. We probably have about 10 inches on the ground! I don't hear any babies in the den yet and our nest is still dark. Have we heard anything about the night light yet?
Lord, I am so sorry that I missed last night's blog. My wedding dress was a red, white and blue 2 inch verticle stripe number that was thrown away years ago. In NC they do not really care what you put in chili, it's how you make your BBQ that counts. Chopped and pork in the east with a vinegar based sauce, and beef, pulled, with a tomato based sauce in the west. Oh, and cornbread, thin and cooked in cast iron in the east and thick and sweet in the west. LOL.
I hope all our resident pets are better today.
Don't get me started on Andy not getting MCI to come out but one phone call from her husband and now they will show up? GRRRRRR
It is 18 here this morninbg but no ice and no snow. You guys be careful.
Good morning everyone. A quick read of the BLOG says the Royal pair has been on the nest this morning. Time to load the pop up cam and do a little work on this house. Think I have decided to start watching the weather and head on home with Dex mid to late next week. I am getting really tired and he does better with ice and snow than itches. Will enjoy a 3 day weekend here and then start the return home plans as weather permits.
If you want to "Feel" some cold check out Finland Water Nest, but look soon because it gets dark there "early" looks like new snow, no feetie prints yet
Glo, so sorry you'll have to cut your trip short. The problem with Frontline is that because it's not a pesticide, it takes 24 to 48 hours to kill the fleas. Great for preventing infestation, but not so great for dogs with flea bite allergies. Perhaps you could call your vet at hope and tell her what's going on and see if something else might be appropriate for use on Dex?

Roads here are partially clear, but with spots of ice in shady areas. Lots of caution needed.
Suz did not even plan to go to work today.....she went home early yesterday, too! Good plan.....bet she has more snow in Mont Alto than we have here.
Shirley, interesting that Hunter sleeps in. Laurel's boys are always up at the crack of dawn. Zach does the same thing.
Enjoy your day off. Laurel was really bummed that they did not have a snow day.
I shared a funny video on fb. Really wanted you to see it. Two teacher friends of mine each posted it. It concerns teaching.
Mason's progress at BMRH
See in paper that Bluefield is being invaded by roosting crows again! Sissy-----stop putting out so much birdfood!!!!
Morning, all!
Roads here are in pretty good shape, we had about 4" at my house...only about 2" here in Frederick
Happy we had an "HP" morning, lol
I am working on posting some of Susan's pictures and comments. It will take awhile to do all of the ones I have copied so far.
I woke Hunter to give him his medicine, and he got up then. It was a bit after 7:30.
Yay for HP!!
He will not sleep at night if the medication is given too late. Found that out the hard way.
Hope has been "purring" again.
Going to start my day and to do that I have to get up out of this chair. LOL Breakfast first and then get with it.
Have a great day!
Don't know about the rest of you but my STILL CAM is stuck at 10:43
and 14 seconds :(
Good ...Day...Morning, Noon, Afternoon....

Hi!

Judie,
Praying that your PT goes really well!

I see our eagle. Yay!!
And gone.
Poof!
Brrr. It looks cold in that nest.
Most of our snow is gone. We just had a dusting. But the wind is blowing, so it is miserable out there.
I guess they decided that they weren't staying in the deep freeze - I just missed it!
Can't believe my bad timing. Missed an eagle AGAIN!

I have some frozen sliders I could give him. Kathryn prefers to have him eat what everyone else does. I'll play it by ear.
One of my students actually threw himself on the floor when I told him he had to re-take his SOL test. Drama galore, too.
Headed out to see Alexis and her dad
BBL
Eagle was there just now, but flew away before I could post.
Well signed on right at the end of the HP and both seperatly flew off. Darn no time to start the video, but family is on the way it would appear.
Eagles were just in the nest...maybe two minutes at the most ??
But there was some H-P ♥
Now they are gone
finally saw it with my own two eyes....with sound ☺
Hi Glo Hi Shirley
Only saw one, so I missed the HP.
Hi, Margy.
Whoo hoo more HP ♥
good news ☺
Hi, Glo. Are you still there?
About to get dark at the nest.
In response to the Stuck Still Cam email I sent Steve earlier around noon, he stated:
" Sorry. All of our internet services were down this morning, that must have affected the still cam. "
and I see from Paula's posts it was up pretty soon after that.
Hi Paula also
hope you are home from work now
or will be done with your work day soon
going back to bed for a few more z's -
ttfn xo
see you too Hedgie... Hi !
Good Evening Eagle Pals...
see you later on
xo
Grilled cheese sammich here tonight.
Really wanted burgers, but TOO cold and windy to be out grilling!
Veg soup sounds delightful, Shirley! I have a cousin like Hunter! Even at age 58, she won't eat things that touch each other!!
LOL Lynn! I knew there were only books in his bedside table. He could go through those. He helped in his closet and I supervised there.
What I am going to do next is empty his closet and paint it. Certainly needs it!
Oh, Mai is having a dream.....twitching and whimpering.....poor baby.
Yes, Lolly, definitely put beans in chili!!!!
LOL Probably dreaming you took away her food or was it her stuffed doggy?
LOL So, are you considered in the south or the north? Michael just runs at the mouth and has strong opinions based on NOTHING!He in an attorney!!! OMG He thrived in debate in high school.
Hi Eagle Fans
Looks like I missed the HP. Doggone it. Not that I really NEED to SEE HP but I don't NEED to SEE poop shoots either!
But these things are signs of healthy eagles..right?
So then maybe I NEED to SEE the HP!!
I also believe a good bowl of chili will always have pooter power.
Mai could be dreaming about chili without beans too.
Don't see any eagles on any other nests. Yesterday was very nice. I got to see Belle and Lib periodically during the day now that the still cam is up and running.
Lolly, we are SOUTH of the Mason-Dixon line, so STILL a southerner even tho' I'm out of DC and VA!!!
BEagle, can you keep the still cam up at work? Good if you can!
When do you start the new job???
I am a Southerner and I like beans in my chili, Lolly.
Surprise! Hunter liked the soup, but refused the chocolate pudding I served for dessert. I saved some just in case. He should be glad he's an only child. Siblings would not be so considerate.
Yes I can watch the Still Cam. My super is okay with that.
I will be in my new job next week or the 1st of Feb. Still not sure yet.
Sometimes Hunter has a fit if foods touch each other on his plate.
I cannot understand anyone turning down chocolate pudding.
Chocolate pudding is one of my favorite foods. I like it warm.
I read somewhere that there were two Bald Eagles spotted across the river from the State Capitol.
Yes warm pudding cooked on the stove. Yum. I used to make a lot of tapioca.
Evening Everyone. Sorry I wasn't able to see any HP today, but wouldn't that be infringing on their privacy??LOL
We got about 2 inches of snow--all roads cleared except Chelsea rock & dirt road, but we just make tire tracks in it & it's OK.
Gotta eat.
I am the only one in the family who likes tapioca. Well, maybe Rus. I think he will eat it.
Guess I should have offered pickles with the chocolate pudding.
Wind is absolutely insane here.
No No No, Loweeda! Did not get rid of wedding dress....got rid of the sewing scraps for my dress and my wedding shoes. LOL
When Laurel got married in '97 she tried on my wedding dress and it was too tight! Wahoo, don't ya love just small victories!!!!
My wedding dress is still in a box in the closet. No way could I get rid of it! That I will leave to Laurel to take care of. LOL
Shirley, I am with Hunter on the food not touching anything but I would have knocked him over to get the chocolate pudding!!
Hope everyone is having a safe and warm evening. Went to the dr. today.GP not ulmonologist, for everything else wrong with me!!
Saw HP! Eggs soon.
there is supposed to be a "p" up there.
I am not too happy if a cooked carrot lands in my applesauce, but I enjoy mixing applesauce with my macaroni and cheese and my corn into my mashed potatoes.
I like that clematis
Thank you BE. My son in law grew that one. He was very proud that it did so well.
I hear Hope "purring". Chili has cooked, with beans, and now off to make cornbread. Getting hungry!
Evening, all.
Lily is awake, think I hear hope too
Listened to our cam for a few minutes, just some wind.
Lolly, I am still eating chili and cornbread. Going to put what's left in the freezer
Heading in to check out tv and cuddle with Litte Man.
Lolly, here is the 4 state area, we are northerners to southerners and southeners to northerners!
My wedding dress, which was just a nice long dress, very summery, still hangs in the back of my closet.
Lily is scratching away now
Saw my yard bunny hopping around in the snow tonight...was out last night too. Probably looking for food. Maybe I should throw a few carrots out there.
Oops, Lily screen is black
Hope was outside and there is lots of stirring around right now.
Bears are active tonight!
I see bear feeties
Now bear backie! LOL
I did not know it but they were saying on the chat that Hope had left and gone out, I did see her come back in, Potty break?
Hope is once again purring.
Had to put ice on his head to shrink it and get him to fit into the car:)
My wedding dress was so yellowed and just hung in GG's basement reminding me that I would never be that small again. I have wanted to just dispose of it for years, but GG would have a fit. So, when the basement flooded this past year...out it went with all the other ruined things;)
I told Hunter that I made the chocolate pudding for his cough because chocolate is supposed to be good for a cough. But nope.
My wedding dress is in my cedar chest.
President is speaking in Arizona.
Da Bears are finally snoozin
Oh, and I have plenty of beans in my chili...spicy chili beans and regular kidney beans
I may have gotten back home just in time to tell Judie Good Night!
Do not get your foot in the snow when you go to the big schoolhouse tomorrow.
((hugs)) Thank Darth for me for taking
such fantastic care of you!
When we get tired of the Chili, as is...we put cooked macaroni in it, if there is a lot of broth, very good! I have to have meatball sized pieces of ground beef in my Chili. I think I am a Carnivore:)
I just might have to order a Darth Vader costume for Frank, for taking such good care of Mrs. Darth:) Maybe a French Maid, also;)
My Chili is almost all beans & with some hamburger and lots of tomato puree and chopped tomatoes. I like Margy's chili & wish I could sneak a chopped green pepper in it - then I would probably be the only one to eat it.
Shirley, keep a can of cool whip in the fridge and put it on top of anything that Hunter won't eat...desserts, that is:)
Hope's motor sure has been running
constantly tonight! Their blog calls it her Volvo!
Love the little Hedgehog Loretta! We have 2 at Irvine, Hazel, and her feisty daughter, Beechnut. SO prickly! And so cute.
Joseph eats one thing at a time, His least favorite is gone first! Jack and I eat the same. We vary our bites of food from everything on the plate, leaving a bite of our favorite to the last.
Hope is purring again, They slept so soundly all day.
I keep praying for Ms Giffords life
She is going to have a long battle but I really think she is going to be all right.
WOW Look at that bear paw!
I keep checking to see one of their
faces but this time it threw me....
Bear Update is Up
I had a can of whipped cream, but we finished it off recently. That might have tempted Hunter. He is one funny kid about food.
Good grief. I could not tell you a plan for how I eat my food. You guys are way too organized for me.
I have been impressed with that little white-haired lady who grabbed the shooter's magazine. I cannot imagine doing something like that.
Bear Update
No, not organized with eating, we just eat. However, we have noticed how Joseph eats one thing at a time and it made us realize how we eat. It has been discussed and laughed about.
Christie usually eats one thing at a time, too! And I take a bite of this, a bite of that.....make my way through each item in turn! But don't mind mixing corn or kraut with mashed taters, or applesauce on top of my pork chop, etc.!
JMHO, but that whole thing was more like a pep rally than a memorial service. Think people should be more respectful, given the circumstances.
Oh, you are right, Jo, that is a bear paw. Oh my!
Think I am going to stick my nose in a magazine for a while.
BBL
I notice that when hubby and I eat - when we are just about down to the last bite - there is a small amount of
everything that was on our dish -
meat, potato, veggie and bread.
I think I have a TV program on at 10.
I really haven't done much since I've been back from dinner and visiting with Alexis.
It sure was cold and windy to and from the car and house.
Be back to wish you all a good night
When he was little, Michael used to eat in clockwork fashion. Started at noon and ate his way around the plate. He doesn't do it anymore.
I usually make my way pretty equally about my plate, saving a favorite bite for last
I posted a few of Susan's pictures earlier today. Explanations are in the comment section. I could not post everything that I copied.
She has a doctor's appointment for Monday because her chest is congested.
I hear Hope purring.
Cool pics, Shirley and Loretta. Comments left on both!
Sure hope that Suzi doesn't have bronchitis, Shirley. She'll be home by Monday, right? Maybe she should see someone down there again sooner...???
She comes home on the 19th. Her appointment is down there.
Then she surely shouldn't wait so long!!
She said she would go sooner if she needs to.
I think the Monday appointment was made when she saw the doctor for her ears. He wanted to see her again. She said the doctor does not speak any English. Her teacher went with her to translate.
I am sure Susan will make another appointment if she needs to.
I wasn't even thinking how long it is until Monday until you said what you did, Lynn. But I am sure Susan will be sensible.
Gonna finally check the bears & Shirley's pics!
Wonderful pictures as usual, Loretta.
I left comments.
I need to make my way upstairs. Tomorrow will come too soon.
I had never heard that you could balance an egg on a nail head at the equator, Lynn. Very interesting.
See you all tomorrow.
Da bears are snoozing. Think the smaaler, darker blob in back is Hope. Thought I could see little nose & ears.
Wonderful pictures, Shirley. Hope Susan gets well ASAP.
WOW! Love all the food talk, recipes and how everyone eats and I think, especially, the comment about Gene's chili and GG's praise...
gotta head out for work soon, will re-read all these comments and check pictures in the morning...
Best wishes for Sweet Sleep, and all good things, including wellness
God Bless Us, Every One
xoxoxoxoxo ♥ (( hugs ))
Good grief, TV time.
If I konk out (as usual), please have
Pleasant Feather Dreams ;>)
And have a quiet evening at work, Margy!
I would rather have a hedgehog for a pet than a guinea pig. Adorable !!
Shirley I think Susan is experiencing quite a lot of new things. She will be "worldly" and maybe even a vegetarian!
I just said Good Night to Lily and Hope
P.S. Ha---just notice that my entrance this morning was perfectly timed to the SPLIT!!!
Goodnight again!
Off to the piullows
Good Night and peaceful sleep to all
Prayers for all
Hugs for all ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Nite Jo and all who are turning in. Will be up a wee bit longer here. Enjoying the fire, but still feel cold.
Our fire is almost out and so am I.
Watched a new show tonight about doctors, etc. working in the jungle. I think I'm going to be a fan. Same producers as Grey's and Private Practice.
GOOD NIGHT MY FRIENDS
SLEEP TIGHT
PRAYERS FOR AL
I had seen that program advertized. Wish I had watched it. Going to head to the shower. Last nights late hour has caught up with me,
Nite all! Sweet dreams!
Wanda.....who is AL and why does he need our prayers? :)
(((hugs)))
Good morning everyone! Still snowing down here in Bluefield. We probably have about 10 inches on the ground! I don't hear any babies in the den yet and our nest is still dark. Have we heard anything about the night light yet?
THE EAGLE HAS LANDED! BOTH OF EM!
Working on that egg cup!!
Hurray. There they are!
Looks a little nippy there.
Poof went Lib.
One taking the egg cup for a ride and one flew off. Not sure which is which but I think that is Lib in the cup.
Belle took off too!
Now both gone. I bet they will be right back.
Sissy and BEagle looks like I missed them. Good Morning (:
My first cardinal of the day just arrived! Always the first at the feeder in the morning!
My first cardinal of the day just arrived! Always the first at the feeder in the morning!
And the juncos! They are early risers as well!!
Prayers for Loretta's dental appointment.
Daughter got her's from a guy that sold exotic pets.
I can't find anything about prayer for an AL most have missed that too.
Who is AL?
Judie & Darth sounds like they are off to go to school today again. Be careful Judie. Praying for that foot and your pain.
I don't recall the AL prayer reference from Wanda, either.
Morning all. Another cold and windy one. Sure don't feel like walking out to get papers...but guess I'll bundle up and brave the elements shortly.
Getting an early start here....have an early afternoon meeting.
Missed our eagles, but can see evidence of their presence in the nest. Snow much more disturbed than it was when it got dark yesterday.
Judie, hope the day at school is as easy as possible for you---and Darth!
What is the link to bear cam that has the people talking along the side of cam please??
Good morning everybody!
Good Morning Suzan I would go ahead and change long ago. To AT&T instead of waiting all this time on MCI.
Good Morning Sharon how's the weather in your part of the state?
Dana, it is 29°, windy and absolutely no snow.
Good morning.
Time to put the final touches on my exams.
BBL.
Glad you saw our eagles this morning.
Pix Wildlife ca 2 has lots of turkeys and it is snowing.
Pix Webcam 2
Good Morning Eagle Pals....
I think Wanda just left one letter off her sign off...think she meant
PRAYERS FOR ALL
Good Morning and Good Night, pulled another of those all-nighters.
NCSuzan - Love that description your wedding dress!
xo Have a Good Day, I hope...
Yikes are going to SPLIT soon...
Oh, I once got married wearing a pair of bib overalls, me and the groom also
Then we just plain old wore them out, but I still have mine packed away ☺
xo
both eagles cozy at BWE
If you want to "Feel" some cold check out Finland Water Nest, but look soon because it gets dark there "early"
looks like new snow, no feetie prints yet
Good sunny morning!
Loretta, good luck at the dentist!
Judie, hope school goes smoothly today!
WAX!
Mits sees a chick at the NC cam!!!!! Wow......seems SO early for a hatch!
