Joe commented about waking up early to see Palmer leave....I woke up Monday morning at 5:32am...almost never do that...and thought "it's way too early to get up!" Guess I should have realized I woke up for a reason, but didn't know what it was!
Lynne, Frank did not ask for the beads, but they were generously given to us by Wanda & Capt. Gene on our 1st NCTC Open House visit! ☺
I came on to say I was konking out & have dentist appt. in AM. Now I'm wide awake! (Think I only fell asleep in front of 'puter once, but may happen again!)
I am so grateful that our baby came to the nest. I was so scared all day, afraid she was stuck on the ground somewhere and couldn't take back off, or in the river stuck like the eaglet in Norfolk. Million things went through my head and was afraid to say any of them!
BEagle, I had it the weekend before last for which I am ETERNALLY grateful...might just as easily caught it at the time of the nest visit. I was feeling better in 2 days for the most part but it was several more before I could eat anything substantial.
Yeah Paula, he did have a good time, which I think surprised him!
Will see you in the MORROW good friends...I sure hope I am up before Palmer leaves!
Pammy, I watched it - great job! And that was quick work, you got it on YouTube fast!! Thanks so much!
It's encouraging to see Palmer feisty like that. I know that cranky attitude about food ("it's mine!") is needed for life as an eagle on her own, plus she's obviously not all worn out so she's been fed well these last couple days - parents have been right there with her.
Hooray! Palmer has finally arrived back at the nest. So sorry I missed it. Thanks to Lynn for sending me the message. I remember watching Hidey's comings & goings but I wasn't watching much today. Was keeping still today to not hurt so much.
Any update on Hope, Lolly? Pam, I hope to see your video/pictures and Glo's too. I'm thankful that some on here record the happenings for those of us who miss them-like me. God bless you all!
I and others in the Momster/Dadster group, I'm sure, Thank You newbies so much for feeling the way you do even though you never knew Deb Palmer as we did. I think the bonding feelings among us all are fantastic!
Well, gang, this has been an exciting evening. So uplifting!! Know that we were all starting to have some fears like Sharon. Bur all's well that ends well.....we should have known that Palmer wouldn't let us down!!! Goodnight to all. Sorry for missing all who weren't with us for the fun!! Prayers and thankfullness! Good night.
Well, I assure both of you would have loved her. She added so much to our cam. Only met her in person one time and that was two years ago at open house. She loved the outdoors and took fantastic pictures, even had some published. It is her picture of Belle and Lib on the front of this blog.
You all would not believe what I have been doing. Laurel is having her "yard sale" this weekend. I have been "cleaning house". LOL Anyway, I came across Laurel's inflatable Barbie doll furniture. Have been blowing it to see if it still holds air. LOL It does! So into the sale it goes! Whoopee!
Something else I can not believe...Annie is limping again. Only it is another paw she is favoring. Can you hear me screaming?!!!
Lolly, I also absolutely LOVE that picture of Liberty and Belle. I was going to 'steal' it to use on my Facebook page when I first started it, but I didn't think that would be right.
Yes, Lynne, we examined her paw and did not see anything. Also, pressed on it but did not get any drastic reaction. She was already mad at us for holding her down to look.
Sorry, about the screaming. Will try to be a little quieter. Did not think about the late hour. ☺
PALMER IS BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!OMG, I AM SOOOOOO HAPPY....I JUST WATCHED THE YOUTUBE VIDEO. SOUNDS SO GOOD TO HEAR HER SCREAMS.
Went back to blog to everyone's comments during that special time. Have tears of joy running down my face....I wish I had been home. I was still with daughter. Thank you for the comments and video.
Palmer alerted me to get up and watch her eat. Looked like Lib stopped by with a "good morning" and left. Palmer was mantling a fish that was maybe a nestover or brought in earlier.
Will watch for a few then back to bed for me. I'm afraid to leave and not see her leave. Yawn....
A few seconds ago Palmer did a wing flap at launch pad. Teasting me. Now has moved inward to middle of nest. Now movded a little further by tree with tape and looking out that way.
WAHOO! Welcome home, Palmer! I was SOOOO happy to see those big yellow feetsies this morning!
Boy, must've been pretty tired last night--was watching some TV after dinner, and next thing I knew, it was morning!
Palmer, you gorgeous baby, enjoy your breakfast! Gosh, it's good to see you again! Looks like you spent the night in the nest--GOOD! I'm sure you needed a good rest, too!
Reading back on the blog a bit...Oh, no! Big-time prayers for Annie the cat! Not ANOTHER sore paw!?!
Judie, SOOOO glad you were able to get the live cam last night! Sure hope it works for you today!
Shirley, hope you enjoyed playing cards last night. HAPPY SUMMER!!! You've certainly earned a nice vacation!
Well, gotta go get some breakfast, and may take a panda nap. Will be checking back in regularly today. (Have the sound turned WAY up in case Palmer sounds off!) Have a good day, everyone! :o]
When Palmer was flying into nest. I was just pulling into my house. Seen the cat that has been advertised in our community paper. Which I called lady of missing cat last week and told her, "It has been over in my area". Well this time I got out of car and followed cat. Surely enough it was were I thought it had been going. Talk to lady that feeds strays and then lady called me back. Directed her to where cat was. She arrived and yes that was her cat that had been missed for 6-8 weeks. Hope cat can rejust to living inside again.
Then thought well might as well head back to WalMart now to pick up new perscription. Which I did and got home to doggie who really needed out and fed. By that time I was hurting to bad to do anything but go to bed.
I have caught up on all the great and wonderful comments you all have made thank you.
Need to see video....oh got to go to facebook thingy. That will have to wait a bit arms and hands and neck hurt terrible. I'll get to it want to here our beautiful Palmer coming into home.
I was admiring the pictures of Hope on Lolly's blog when I heard all of the Palmer screaming. Palmer is being fed. Camera angle is interesting. Palmer looks huge and parent looks tiny.
Sure was a happy moment to get that text message at work last night from Lynn...Thanks ! all caught up on comments, sure sounds exciting, and heartwarming, and still is!
time for sleep here, best wishes for a great day, everyone, with lots of Eagle sightings and sounds
Lynn2 I have cervical and spinal stenosis. Did not take any meds yesterday because dr. was changing my meds. The medication I was using just isn't enough he said the last time I was there but I didn't want the new medication. So this appt. I went off old and took 10pm last night new medication. I need MRI's again for both cervical and spine plus left knee which I have taken 7 falls onto. Going to hang in there with medication as a bandaide until May 9, 2011 which I will go on a different medical plan without all these deducables to meet.
What a nice way to start the day! Palmer still in nest, and now "breakfast is served" to our youngun!! Bet she had a dreamy night being back in her own bed! LOL! Wonderful treat for us all!
The pictures are amazing! Going to have to ask Steve if he can tell what kind of fish those eagles were wrangling! And he's got great shots of a Pearl Crescent, Common Buckey and Wooly Bear Moth, and a cool close up of a paper wasp!!!
I've been watching from here in Scott Depot since Feb. and even have my daughter in Roanoke hooked. I also got my 88 years young widow friend Winona, Audubon member for 60 years, hooked. Einona found the blog. She called me yesterday when palmer returned. Sounded like a teenager with the excitement that palmer came back. Winona named him Lucky so we will just call him/her Lucky Palmer after Deb! OK?
well Joe, at least Winona had the maturity to act like a teenager...I, on the other hand, acted like a 5 year old who had never seen a bird before!!! Certainly can't argue the fact the she is a "LUCKY" Palmer, after the tragedy of the blizzard eggs, that's for sure. Welcome to the blog!
LYNNE...glad Steve likes our group well enough to want one of our Signature Necklaces! I don't have anymore right now, for the men, but will order some when I place my costume order. I gave some to Paula...she may have some left. Will get it to Steve at Open House. He is a keeper...really like him:)
Liberty and Palmer both eating. Hay that was some long flying time Hard work for a teenager!
I can think of some teens that need to watch this cam. Learn how to act and fellow parents direction. Yes there is bickering between parent eagle and eaglet true but that is same with adults and their teenager.
I checked Paula's video from 7:15 and noticed it was Palmer that moved the greenery from the "egg cup" area to the 9 place. Whether it was stuck on her foot or deliberate....couldn't tell.
she must be waiting for a good tail wind to help her "lard butt" as Bev so eloquently put it, off the nest! LOL! I have so much to do today....Going to give myself a few more minutes to watch and then I have to get moving.
Welcome HokijJoe thanks for your comments. Nice you have some friends watching with you; Einona your daughter and Winona both are hooked you say. Welcome and ladies just jump right in and make a comment like Hokiejoe did.
Good morning! Have been lurking while reading the paper. Was amazed that Palmer was still in the nest. She really must have been hungry and exhausted. LOL
Thought she was going to take off a minute ago, but no. Does she have to build up her nerve to take off? LOL
I am headed outside to mow shortly and I need to check on FB and Hope.
I've also been watching these falcons since before they were born. Some times now they are out of site on on the ledge. http://www.southbendin.gov/falcam/
Have checked on FB and read the Hope update. Spunky little bear! It did sound like that she was really hungry at the feeding station though. Glad they waited.
Yes, it does look like Palmer is napping, oh, she just laid down. LOL
Well, I am off. The yard becons and then another trip to the vet. YUK!
Good Morning Sunshine!!!! Actually it is cloudy here, but in my world with Palmer in the nest...the sun is shining bright. I am sooo happy to see her back. Was really worried she had injured herself
Turned on feed just in time. Saw Palmer sleeping like a baby. Then the rest of the action. Thought she was going to leave again. I don't understand......why is it, she has fledged...been out for two days and now seems to be having a hard time to fly out of nest again?
Look she is sleeping again. Maybe she is just to tired.
Whoopee! Palmer is still here~~~really zonked out. Must have gotten all tired out flapping around the neighborhood. Gotta run--hope she stays for awhile. ☺
Since Palmer has not left nest since she returned makes me wonder if maybe her first exit was accidental....she seems very hesitant when she's on the rim, and you would think that she would just take right off.

Loretta, you could be correct on that! Does look like Palmer plotzed at the 9
LOOWEEEEEDA...Steve wants to know where Frank got he Dadster beads...I think he's become a true dadster!!
Wanted to say goodnight everyone, prayers for all of course...hey BEagle, do you have that tummy thing that's going around?Hope you feel better soon.
Pammy, nice video!
Sorry that I didn't have more time to chat today but sure glad I saw the homecoming! Good night precious Palmer!
Where are the videos?
It IS a little problematic when you have to say he/she all the time.
To say "it" wouldn't work either.
Those who have watched eagles for awhile now have noted her size as lining up with a she. I would go with that.
People will tend to know the eaglet referred to no matter if it is a he or a she and people still enjoy watching a he/she.
Your thought is lovely KB.
To me, Palmer is special and a beautiful raptor with a strong will.
I see Palmer at 9.
I heard there was a tummy thing going around. It snagged me this time. Doggone it.
Headache big time. Belly ache but fever has subsided.
KB, I'll try to work a video...
Pam has one on FB
Lynne, sounds like Steve had a good time on Saturday!
Thanks Lynne.
There are a couple other dark patches in the nest & Spidey is ruining our show! He's such a ham.
Has Palmer ever slept at 9?
She must want to be near the greenery.
I am so grateful that our baby came to the nest. I was so scared all day, afraid she was stuck on the ground somewhere and couldn't take back off, or in the river stuck like the eaglet in Norfolk. Million things went through my head and was afraid to say any of them!
Kickngbird, very nicely put. She's a she and there's nothing to prove she isn't!!!
Do you have to register with Facebook to see the video on Facebook? I've got privacy issues, so I don't do Facebook.
Kickngbird, you do have to sign up for a Facebook account to access the site.
I'm gonna go try to put the video on Youtube.
The video is on Youtube.

That's very nice of you Pammy -
I had someone track me down, found my home phone number, called around 10 pm (before I was married, so I lived alone) - it was kind of creepy.
So I err on the side of keeping info close to the vest.
That's a good policy. I do think that Facebook does share way too much information without user's knowledge.
Hi! I see that Palmer returned to the nest tonight. Great!! I am really tired. It has been a very long day, but I wanted to check on our Palmer.
Now, I am going up to my own nest. I will see you tomorrow.
Good night. Rest well, Palmer.
The new windows movie maker is not as good as the original!!!
Pammy, I watched it - great job! And that was quick work, you got it on YouTube fast!! Thanks so much!

Diann go to FB to the NCTC Eagle Cam page and view Pam's video.
Pam I tried to get your video 'shared' over to my profile so my friends could view it - but I can't get it to move.
I'll try again tomorrow.
I am exhausted from all this excitement for the past 5 days!
Lynne. That worked out really well. Would have been awful to miss a planned nest visit.
Not sold on FB. Too many issues.
I didn't read back far enough - ok Pam will go to you tube!
Thanks again.
Well, gang, this has been an exciting evening. So uplifting!! Know that we were all starting to have some fears like Sharon. Bur all's well that ends well.....we should have known that Palmer wouldn't let us down!!!

I am heading back the hall way
Good night All

Life is Good !
Aww poor Annie
Lolly, I also absolutely LOVE that picture of Liberty and Belle. I was going to 'steal' it to use on my Facebook page when I first started it, but I didn't think that would be right.
New pics of Hope on FB
No update on Hope yet, but the cutest picture was added seconds ago. Will go now and add it to my Hope Blog.
OK, who can sleep with all the screaming coming from TEXAS!! Oh Lolly, that's not good about Annie :(
Was just outside with dogs, and the moon is low, crescent and BRIGHT orange...so pretty!
Really going to bed now....
Okay, I added the latest picture of Hope. Do not know why some pictures are so small. Also, when you click on it it does not get larger.????????
Yes, Lynne, we examined her paw and did not see anything. Also, pressed on it but did not get any drastic reaction. She was already mad at us for holding her down to look.
Sorry, about the screaming. Will try to be a little quieter. Did not think about the late hour. ☺
Good night everyone, loooong but good day at the zoo...thanks for the post of Palmer's return, took me a long time to read them
Bless you, Palmer! LOL She is still sneezing! Love it!
oh Lolly, maybe she just has a bit of stiffness in her joints. I hope!
OK, REALLY TRULY HONESTLY going to bed now!
Added another picture of Hope. It is so cute! Taken today by the trail cam.
Thank you for the comments and video.
..
I am very excited but have to go to bed. Stayed out to late. Daughter and I had a wonderful day and evening.
Prayers for all need and wants.
Praise for all answered prayers.
Sweet wonderful Palmer is back in nest dreams. Good Night.
Time for sleep ... so I'll say goodnight to all in eagle land.
Pam, great video and hope someone will take a picture or video of Palmer leaving in the morning. I know I'll miss it I'm a real late riser.
Prayers for all needs/wants.
Good night & God bless.
Still no update on Hope. Heading to bed. It has been a great day!
Ragdoll....sorry you missed the action today. It was fantastic!
Shirley...where are you? I know, playing Bridge.
Nite all.....Sweet dreams!
Heading to bed, nest is quiet, bet Palmer will be leaving early, I'm sure I'll miss it...looking forward to her next visit!
I think Palmer just sneezed. So cute.
I am finally off to bed. Things have been very quiet.
I wanted to get a picture of Palmer sleeping in the nest, but that is not to be.
Sleep well, sweet Palmer. ♥
PALMER IS IN THE NEST!
It's early, but I can tell it's her because she doesn't have any white feathers on her tail. Can't see her face though.
The sun is beginning to come up - official sunrise at 5:43 this morning.
I can't take my eyes off our precious Palmer. She's still in the nest and appears to be conked out!
She must have been pretty active after she flew the coop.
An adult brought him a fish at 5:49 and before he could remember how to feed himself an adult brought another fish at 5:58.
Hi HokieJoe -
PALMER EATING
Well, if she was hungry, she's got plenty to eat now.
How wonderful to see her back in the next. Makes getting up early worth it!
Good morning Eagleland!!
Yawn....
She's watching something intently. Wonder what those beautiful eagle eyes see?
I can't have the sound on here at work, but Palmer is just standing on the edge of the nest and looking around like she hears/sees something.
I hope she is not thinking of taking off again.
Ahhh, she's listening to her cousins talking.
Thanks PA Nana - I couldn't figure it out. Let's just hope she stays awhile.
Have a good day, I'm back to bed.
Good Thursday morning in Eagle Land.
I see Palmer at 12 o'clock standing and viewing the grounds.
Palmer just moved to the launch pad area.
Palmer still in the nest
A few seconds ago Palmer did a wing flap at launch pad. Teasting me. Now has moved inward to middle of nest. Now movded a little further by tree with tape and looking out that way.
Palmer is eating one of the 2 fish that was brought in. Thanks for the info HokieJoe and Lori....she fledged around sunrise the other day.
That sure is some early morning fishing!
Pam posted a short video of Palmer's return on youtube...here is the longer version :)
This isn't the return, but video of Lib returning again and feeding Palmer
Palmer Returns!
Palmer stil eating in the nest at 7ish
Hi Paula and Dana!
I've been beside myself with excitement watching Palmer all morning. What a gift.
Good Morning, Everyone!
Good morning everyone. Good morning Palmer. This is the way to start the day :-)
She's done eating and cleaned her beak...at the launch pad now
Back to 6ish
A treat for sure, thought she would be long gone!
Moving around the nest on the launch pad side flapping those wings.
Haven't even had time to said Good Morning in Eagle Land; at least I dont think I did. Palmer standing at 11ish flapping wings.
Yes, Good Morning everyone!
Now has moved back towards launch area but further inward by tree with tape.
She's just standing at the 6, looking out.
Hope cat can
rejust to living inside again.
I have been snapping pictures this AM. Will put in Eaglet_Momster album a little later.
Lordy you got to be a courageous eagle just to approach that young un with food. :-)
well now is that any way to speak to your parent???
Oarent just flew in and out think left food. Palmer is screaming.
Dana, I put a link at 7:15 to my video
Lib back with another fish!! Thank you, Lib!
It is Liberty that flew in and has food so Palmer is screaming.
Lib is still there, Dana, feeding Palmer now
Where is that bird putting it all? Must have a hollow leg :)
Good morning,
I was admiring the pictures of Hope on Lolly's blog when I heard all of the Palmer screaming. Palmer is being fed. Camera angle is interesting. Palmer looks huge and parent looks tiny.
Palmer is screaming with her mouth full. Funny.
Palmer tugging at fish!
oh no she ISN'T....the nerve of her to be FED at this stage....spoiled brat!
Good BEAUTIFUL morning everyone!
No doubt she'll give thanks by biting her parent...LOL!
Shirley...is this Happy First Day of Vacation for you?
I guess Palmer built up a big hunger with all of her flying around.
Palmer eating the old fish, Lib eating new fish
Oh,my!
Heard Palmer fussing, so came running back--is that Lib who came in with a fish? Looks like Palmer is getting fed breakfast--Awwwww!
Must be the camera angle, but Palmer sure makes her parent look like a little person!
And grabbing at everything Lib offers!
Yes, Lynne, this is the first day of vacation. I am a free woman.
I have two months. We go back on August 17.
Eating side by side again
Yay for you, Shirley.
Nice collection of Hope pictures, Lolly.
I have snapped a picture will post later of Liberty and Palmer eating together. Isn't that beautiful? They are having breakfast together.
Thank you Paula for video
Bob Quinn Photos!
Bob's Photos at BW June 13
from BW FB page
Hope you have a relaxing 2 months Shirley!
Dana....why do you hurt so? That was so nice of you to follow the cat and help get it back to it's owner!
So when Palmer came back to the nest. Parent flew in with Palmer?
Dana, happy to hear you could help reunite kitty and owner.
Lib came in first with a fish Dana, Palmer followed soon after, screaming all the way in.
Lib is digging at the back, checking for nestovers? He might have found one...LOL Palmer keeps rushing him
Palmer tearing into more fish!
That fish that Liberty and Palmer are eating was brought in at 6:00am. Deb would be proud!
Sure was a happy moment to get that text message at work last night from Lynn...Thanks !
all caught up on comments, sure sounds exciting, and heartwarming, and still is!
time for sleep here,
best wishes for a great day, everyone,
with lots of Eagle sightings and sounds
Welcome back to the Roost, Palmer
xoxo

What a nice way to start the day! Palmer still in nest, and now "breakfast is served" to our youngun!! Bet she had a dreamy night being back in her own bed! LOL! Wonderful treat for us all!
With the adult in front, don't they look the same size?
Lib cleaning up nestovers at the front now.
Cleaning beak
The pictures are amazing! Going to have to ask Steve if he can tell what kind of fish those eagles were wrangling! And he's got great shots of a Pearl Crescent, Common Buckey and Wooly Bear Moth, and a cool close up of a paper wasp!!!
OH my goodness Dana...I hope the new meds help you more than the old ones did.
Lib off to the right,
hmmmm, will she stay or will she go? Adult just left
That adult is leaving. Palmer may follow!
Off to coffee and dog treats :-) Do you think she is full and ready for the days adventures? Enjoy your day everyone.
Whoa, plotzed!
Welcome HokieJoe
glad you took the plunge and started jabbering with us...
you all take good notes, I have to sleep through the activity
xoxo Prayers for wellness
oh, must take rest to digest first!
Lib may be where we spotted Belle the other day.
Since it looks like Palmer may stick around for a bit, think I'll go back to my breakfast! BBIALW...
Oh--welcome, Hokiejoe! Good to see you here! All right, now back to breakfast. BBL! :o]
Todays pictures in the Eaglet_Momster album.

Off to bed with you, Margy...have a good night...er...morning?!
Palmer was flat..spread out in the nest at 5:27 this morning. Looked like Road Kill:)
well Joe, at least Winona had the maturity to act like a teenager...I, on the other hand, acted like a 5 year old who had never seen a bird before!!! Certainly can't argue the fact the she is a "LUCKY" Palmer, after the tragedy of the blizzard eggs, that's for sure. Welcome to the blog!

He is a keeper...really like him:)
anyone post this yet...Hope update
Hope from last night
So cute about her food preferences, and uh, not so cute about the poopy inspection!
The Miracle chick!
thanks Wanda! He IS keeper!
How are things progressing at GG's?
She sure is. I know nature can be brutal and all, but I am hoping for a much, MUCH calmer egg laying and incubation next winter as i know we all are!
Hokiejoe, my nephew lives in Winfield, works at Staples in Cross Lanes. His mom is Eagle-Eyed Sharon on the blog. Small, small world!
HokieJoe, my son lives in Scott Depot and I live in Bedford which is near Roanoke.
in case anyone hasn't seen on FB....Megan made it in and out of the Bowels of Hell this morning safely!
Good morning Sharon and Sissy!
INCOMING!
It really is a shame that this child never gets fed! Lib and Belle risk their lives bringing her food!!! Attack Juvie!!
Good morning Lynne2!
My Lord, they have fish coming in like Palmer is newly hatched.
They missed her!! She is going to be too fat to fly!!!
Feed the baby!! Spoiled rotten!
well now was that nice? greedy thing.
Beverly, When I lived in Glennwood, I knew a man named Rusty Riffe.
Where is Glennwood? Most of our Riffes are from Falls Mills, near Bluefield, and McDowell County.
Liberty and Palmer both eating. Hay that was some long flying time Hard work for a teenager!
I can think of some teens that need to watch this cam. Learn how to act and fellow parents direction. Yes there is bickering between parent eagle and eaglet true but that is same with adults and their teenager.
Looks like Palmer is finally full.
Good morning all.
It's is so much fun watching Palmer get fed.
The adult has the white feather showing in the middle of the shoulders.
Can't remember if that's Belle or Lib.
Anyone else remember?
Glennwood is on Rt. 20 between Bluewell and Princeton. Rusty lived in Princeton and worked for US Steel at Pineville.
I think Palmer is having breakfast # 2 with Belle, BEagle.
Palmer just doesn't seem to feed herself well enough yet.
I thought that was Belle because of the size.
I think Palmer would rather fly than eat.
Oh, our Glenwood! I was confused. There are some Princeton Riffes that are not kin to us except maybe distantly. When did you live here?
Time for a morning nap. I got up at 4:00 yesterday, worked hard all day and then went out to play cards. I am now going to rest. See you later.
Is Palmer about to take off?
How was the bridge game Shirley
Hmmm, not sure now??
Shirley, glad we will have you Full Time for 2 months. ENJOY YOUR SUMMER!
I lived in the area from 1976 to 1985. That parent is leaving again.
Ahem----"the bowels of hell"???? Lynne, please don't talk about my hometown that way!!! Believe me, there ARE worse cities!!
Hope update and pics were good. Bob's photo additions are great----go to BW or FB to get a gander.
Good THURSDAY morning everyone...have a good one:)
I thought the "bowels of Hell" was McDowell County!!!
Welcome, HokieJoe:)
My brother lives in Glenwood, by the way. He owns a home improvement business there.
She can't get her lard butt off the nest!! LOL!!
ooooo is she gonna go???
Flapping those wings but Palmer will have to unload "poop shoot" before a take off.
Looks like she is preparing for takeoff.
Most of the "poop shoots" I've seen were off the back side of the left.
I checked Paula's video from 7:15 and noticed it was Palmer that moved the greenery from the "egg cup" area to the 9 place. Whether it was stuck on her foot or deliberate....couldn't tell.
The bacon downstairs may burn but I'm not leaving until she flies or lays back down.
she must be waiting for a good tail wind to help her "lard butt" as Bev so eloquently put it, off the nest! LOL!
I have so much to do today....Going to give myself a few more minutes to watch and then I have to get moving.
Yep, hokiejoe, you are hooked!! Welcome to the club!!!
I've been on daily since feb.!
and you couldn't be hooked to a better group of people Joe!
Most her poop shoots have been to the left. Many done at her present position also.
Welcome HokijJoe thanks for your comments. Nice you have some
friends watching with you; Einona your daughter and Winona both are
hooked you say.
BBL
I've also been watching these falcons since before they were born. Some times now they are out of site on on the ledge.
http://www.southbendin.gov/falcam/
Palmer is taking a nap standing up!
I noticed on another forum, people who posted were given instruction about language. Probably because of the children that read the posts.
It was too funny! They did allow the term poop in "poop shoot" however. LOL
Dana. Good idea about having children watch for growing up reasons.
well, as much as I hate to, I've gotta get moving. I'll be back later!
"There's no place like home".
plop :-)
Have checked on FB and read the Hope update. Spunky little bear! It did sound like that she was really hungry at the feeding station though. Glad they waited.
Yes, it does look like Palmer is napping, oh, she just laid down. LOL
Well, I am off. The yard becons and then another trip to the vet. YUK!
I think Palmer wants to doze.
Plenty of time to fly later.
Palmer's tummy is all full and "HOME SWEET HOME".
Lolly I signed up for Hope's facebook page but can't get it.
How did you get it please????
Phoenix is gobbling up food with straw hanging out the side of the beak.
Not much happening on the TH, PH, and WE nests except that the elder TH twin is out of site again.
Steve has given us a new thread...
C'mon over!!
Phoe was just gnawing at adults foot. Maybe more food is in order.
So nice to see Palmer in the nest today - I got home too late yesterday to see the homecoming!
:)
I would love to know just how far Palmer got from the tree in those 2 days. Seems to be plum tuckered out now.
Hi,
Sharon, Dana could tell us how far away from the nest Palmer was when she saw Palmer.
