Think parent just dropped off a fish for Finny, saw his wings out, then he started mantling, but didn't see parent. Another whopper! Bai has also fallen asleep nursing, and she's still holding Squiggles, but she' got her head in the straw...her back is gonna kill her laying like that.
Mits, hope you could go back to sleep! I hate those low battery warnings, they are very loud, and usually go off in the middle of the night! Only way to silence the bloody things is change the battery! Not a nice thing to do at 3:38 in the morning! Anyway, sleep tight, Mits! Finny is still eating that humongous fish parent brought. Geesh, that's 2 in about 40 minutes or so that I've been watching! Bai hasn't moved, bless her heart! And Frieda is still on her egg, she's only moved her head a little.
Brrr, was just outside and I think it's colder than it was when I got here. Finny still in nest eating that huge fish, and Bai still snoozing with Squiggles. Frieda has changed positions, but still sitting on egg. BW osprey MT, but spidey has one of his leggs on the cam. There was a falcon on the bar, but view has changed so don't know if he's still there or not. Darn, Finny just left. The NL fish cam has 2 more cams, they did have 2 cams, now there are 4. Course it's dark, so can't see much. The 2nd Finland osprey cam is still down, as is the cormorant cam. Darn. OH, just opened the Swallow cam and it's MT! Those guys must haave fledged this weekend. Good luck and God speed little guys! There is an owl in the hotel, and looks like they have finally fixed the Puget Sound cam...course it's dark, but cam appears to be working, as does the time.
Finny left, MT nest. Squiggles is squirming around and may be making noise, her mouth opens occassionally. She's at the very bottom right of the cam, laying on the straw, but touching mom. Bai has not moved, so squiggles is not quite that loud, I guess. Other cams in NL getting light, one really cool beach view, makes you want to walk down the beach in the sand! Owl in hotel moving around. My SD cam keeps going in and out, what's up with that??
Our Finny is back with food, Bai is waking up and washing Squiggles, Frieda still off egg showing it off! Oh Bai just rolled around on her back, has squiggles in her paw. Oh, sitting up, time to nurse. Wow Squiggles is getting bib! Adorable!
Squiggles is getting a bath while nursing, Frieda still off egg, and Finny still eating. Owl still in hotel, daylight in NL, I want to go hang out at the beach, and lots of fish. BBL, things to do...
GOOD MORNING SUZ-- Too chilly and wet to have COFFEE on the deck this morning. What a good rain we had last night. Maybe we will be able to get something else done besides watering the garden and flowers. Of course, now the grass will start growing again and we'll have to mow every other day. So little time and so much to do. I thought when we retired, we would have days of lounging around and taking trips in the Motor Home, but it seems we have less time to do those things now than we did before retirement.
Finny did seem to have a lot of meals this morning---I guess it would have been his lunch time. Squiggles is growing so fast. I compared photos of the 15th and 17th and it is amazing.
Good morning, Wanda. Yes, it is chilly outside, and just as cold here but the wind isn't blowing inside! I'm sitting here with my jacket on! Brrr. Stopped raining here, but we had a nice rain all day yesterday, and was still raining when I left this morning. You're right, now it will be time to mow the grass! Specially if we get some sun now, I'm sure it'll just shoot up! Squiggles sure has grown, she's (or he's) getting to be a little cutie. I haven't compared photos, but I'll bet you can really tell a difference. Frieda was off her egg for quite a while this morning, but it was nice to see it! I'm excited, more babies to watch! Check out the undersea cam, they have added 2. Makes you want to just walk in the sand!
Frieda is either turning her egg, or she has a second one and she's looking at it. Finny back, trying to catch a few zzzzz's, but keeping his eyes on the sky. Bai sound asleep, can't see Squiggles. Owl in hotel, and BW has been MT all morning.
Good Morning Mits Suzanne and Wanda. Wanda send us some of that rain. Pumpkins are not going to make it for the grandkids. they each planted one vine. I may have to water them, but we planted them at the cabin which is on top on the mountain behind our house, accessible only with John Deere four wheel drive tractor or ATV, so watering would be a chore. We need rain. Everyone have a blessed day and sew some seeds of kindness that all of you do so well. Be Back after class. It is a blessing to be able to blog again. donna
Well, Finny went and took off while I was watching the divers. Can only see Bai's hind legs, need to wakeup that cam operator and show him how to move the cam. Frieda is sleeping, head under her wings.
GOOD MORNING MAULEY-- We had no luck with our pumpkins, the plants died. We did plant some squash called "Pool Ball" and those that we didn't pick and use have turned a beautiful orange and we hope they will keep til Oct. when our Halloween Shop opens. We decorate with them and corn stalks all around our shop. It is fun and the children love it.
GOOD MORNING AGAIN, EVERYONE Suzanne, it always happens in the middle of the night with the low-battery sound. I have to get up and search til I find the correct one, and I take it down and disconnect, I'll put the battery in it sometime today. Off to cam surf. Happy 1st day of school to Candy, Donna, and "our new college guy", ANDREW. Good luck big guy:):):)!
Morning, Mits. Yes it does! Very annoying, but guess that's better than not having one! The carbon dioxide detectors also seem to go off in the middle of the night.

Wanda, if we lived close, you could have all the fodder shocks you want. Hubby already cut the "corn stalks". We let them dry completed, then allow the dew to settle on them overnight, so they will be pliable, then he ties them together with "sea grass", which is whatwe use for baling twine for square bales of hay, stores them in the hay barn, then he takes them up on the mountain in the winter time and places them around the cabin for fodder for deer and elk.

Good Mid Morning Everyone I thought Steve would have dropped by to see us. Swallows have gone but Ms Owl still is staying at the Owl Motel most evenings. I am venturing out for about an hour today - Let you know how I do! Don't worry, my right arm buddy will be with me. Granddaughter coming to visit this afternoon. I love company. Mauley - you'll back in the swing of things! I am sure Candy is too. Good day for cleaning out closets or Panda napping! lol
My dear friends, its the last one that hurts so bad. When our only daughter left for college, we were excited, but missed her terrible, when our son left four years late, it was sad, but when the last son went away two years later it was so final. All 3 of them gone. I think the worst hurt ever was when Tonja married after her college graduation. I was looking forward to her maybe teaching close to home and getting to know her all over again after college, but it seems when they leave the first time, nothing is ever the same. When the boys followed her footsteps (becoming teachers) they, too married after college graduation. Of course, I wouldn't take anything for the 8 grandkids, but sometimes I just want to spend time with MY CHILDREN, just me and each one of them, but it has never happened. they seem to be all a package deal now. The package deal usually ends up with Gran keeping the grandchildren. This is okay though. Not one of the 8 of them would ever go home if their parents would let them stay with Gran. They tried to kill Mauley this summer, but there is one thing about us Momsters, as you all will agree, you can't keep a good Eaglemomster or dadster down. Right Sharon, right Mits, right Jo, You can't keep us down. BBL (Oh the bliss of blogging again.) donna
Morning, Jo. You have mail. This is the NL undersea cam we're talking about. They have added 2 more cams to the 2 they already had. Top left shows a thumb pic of the cams. We're talking about the 4th one..they're windsurfing and just chillin'. Feeding time over for Squiggles, and Bai didn't waste any time getting back to sleep. Our beautiful Finny is also hanging out in the nest. Frieda still off her one egg.
