Help I got eagles everywhere
Got pic of our nest eggs it isn't but almost looks like 4 instead of 3 eggs because of blurry pic.
Now it is snowing at NE nest no eagles but will again probably be back.

Yes got several pics of different immature eagles at BW Osprey nest this morning.
Maine eagle is really working at the branches in nest. They have been vocal beautiful.

Norma, I watched it - Spectacular - Gave me a new respect for the osprey.I never realized that they go under the water get their catch - Did you! I loved it when he shaked the water from himself - He shook just like a dog coming out of the water...

I did get a pic of BW eggs earlier this am. No hole or crack as of then.
There has been eagles everywhere I go today.
Immature eagles several different ones and mature eagles been at BW Osprey nest this morning.
Maine has had alot of action arranging sticks and fitting into the nest hole for size.
It is so GREAT to see our cam clear
I can tell you one thing I'm woren out!
Norma That was awesome seeing the eagle chase the osprey and getting the fish from him.I can't believe the extreme distance they flew during migration..wasn't that a beautiful destination-I'd want to spend 3 months there also.

Oh yes did catch the show last night. Amazing how the Osprey get the fish. Yes our beautiful bald eagle does sit there waiting. Flies up and knocks the fish from the Osprey and bingo got their food.
It was something to see them go farther into the water to get their fish. Right about the shaking the water off lol.

Tai is up the tree and Mei is roaming the grounds. At my meeting at the zoo last night, they told us that Mei and Tai are separated 24/7 now, it has been a gradual process since January and Tai is doing wonderfully. They are doing this to let Mei go into estrus naturally, and she needed to stop nursing to do this. So all pandas are fine and happy:).They are watching Mei's hormone levels on a weekly basis and there is no change at this time, but they were not expecting any just yet. Will be a few more weeks.

Tai is out of tree after going to last low branch and rubbing himself on it for a good while. Now he is eating bamboo.

Our eagle just pulled some of the grass in from of her/him to their chest.
I agree JO----I kept thinking what makes them continue when they already about as far South as they can go----That's what makes nature so amazing!----

Norma I was thinking the same thing. I knew from Lisa's comments how far they went. Yet when they got to Florida; I thought why not just stop there.

ButaButa started climbing up the log like an old pro & then
she flipped right off. BUT now she is climbing up again and she is going at a pretty good speed.
I wish they would give ButaButa a jungle gym that wasn't so high!!
I wish I could take a pic of ButaButa. They are getting a very good close up. Can't take my eyes off of her until she comes down.
I have never watched anything so entertaining as ButaButa exploring her abilities to climb........

just opened the gates for MEI AND TIAN to be together, she pushed him aside and went to the other yard.

Good afternoon, my eagle buddies. Just got back from a day at the ER with my mom. She fell getting out of bed at 5:30 a.m. Nothing is broken but her oxygen saturation is low. I have to take her to the doctor tomorrow to find out why. More will be revealed I guess. Please keep her in your prayers.

Lisa had emailed me last night in response to an email I sent to her concerning the Incredible Journey show:The osprey tracking program in the show also has a website -- the program is run by the Univ. of North Carolina at Charlotte. They should be tracking the ospreys as they head north soon.

4 eggs at WE nest. 3 are in the front part of the nest, closest to the cam. 1 is in the back (furthest) Dr. Sharpe is going out Wednesday or Thursday to exchange the eggs for fake ones, so he can incubate and hatch the real ones.

Can't tell for sure if Mits is talking about the West End nest or the Twin Harbors one, but I looked in briefly from work, and I saw the female at Twin Harbors securely and deeply settled into the egg cup as though she might be hatching an egg.
Could that be the source of excitement??

That pair has been acting ready for the best part of a week, so I'm not too surprised, but I have seen #82 testing the nest cup for extended periods before...couldn't be sure this time.
I don't know if they will leave the cam on when Dr. Sharpe collects the eggs and delivers the wooden imitations, but I'll bet you will probably get some pics if they do...........please.
I've seen it before on nature programs...they use a specially insulated (and heated?) box to maintain the temperature of the eggs and protect them from damage until they transport them to the incubation lab...guess they must be heated, because on TV they fly them considerable distances sometimes.

Just heard from Lisa at BW, and she said the Dad has been bringing in her meals to her on a regular basis now, and ,that maybe they knew something was about to happen:).
