I don't know if that branch blew yesterday toward where the sit in our nest or not. Yesterday I thought it had but wasn't sure. Both have had it in their beaks. Can't figure out why one of them just doesn't pick it up and move it away.
Good Morning Wind is still ripping thru the valley! Was really noisy throughout the night. The large stick in OUR nest looks as though it would have hit whichever eagle was nesting. I just hope he/she was facing 12 o'clock position. Yes, Dana I wish they would move it away from OUR eggs. Steve, I could think of a lot better reasons to get off work for a long weekend then getting the flu bug. I hope it is only a 24hr--Anyway, the cam is up & you can watch OUR beautiful eagles on OUR cam! Thanks so much for getting the IT crew moving on it!
If you log onto ajc.com and get the Panda news up, there is a gallery of recent pics down on the right side. The news article is about getting tickets to see her. Pics are more then adorable!
GOOD "LATE" MORNING EVERYONE To quote a good eagle buddy of mine.:) Late to bed and late to rise. Just have been fascinated watching that Norfolk cam, I feel like I'm in the nest. She was just gently scooping the eggs up, and, turning them, just an awesome sight. FEEL BETTER, STEVEN:).
GOOD A.M. EAGLE BUDDIES---Haven't read the blog yet---BUT---I did see BELLE!---LIFE IS GOOD! SUNSHINE TOO!----STEVEN, ET AL---Thanks----cam looks great!---Wishing you a speedy recovery----SUZANNE---Read last week on the BW site---all about the festival, etc.----Hope you get to go---
Dear Friends, Hope Steve is better soon. Praying for you, Steve and for Norma, too. Steve, how is your family? Who could forget the BUS or bird flew? I know that I will come down with a big dose of it in a few months (for the second time). Life is good for us momsters, the cam is up. donna
WOW---Just noticed---JIM was FIRST this a.m.---CONGRATULATIONS! Always check TAI first---Oh, the "Little Prince" is growing up--I LOVE HIM!---I remember this time last year---getting up a dawn---trying to catch the "changing of the guard" so I could see the eggs---We are truly BLESSED!!-----Lots of EAGLES!!
Norma, glad you are back, we missed you. Donna, I didn't get to see the cam til after the hatchings last year, so, I'm sure there will be some sleepless nights, to check on the progress of the eggs as the time gets closer.
Paula, I missed the EEwwwiiiess at BW. I have a soft spot for them. I really like them and they are cute in a way. Come on now, Momsters, some of you must have a little feeling for them in a nice way.
I was thinking maybe that stick just looks so close to eagle in our nest. Cause if it was up against them they would surely move it. Wouldn't you all think??
Snow filled nest at NE Different view at ME ?? VA WV MD nesting eagles CO MT FL MT with a long range view Kent MT SantCruz MT & WINDY! WENEST - 2 (1 nesting) THNEST - #81 & #82 are there Not sure what the status is as far as egg Paula Any update on thnest?
CO cam No Video. I just clarified that when I go look at daily pics, I am looking at yesterdays happenings. I didn't read that until after I clicked on a time that if it were today, there wouldn't be any pics...That is when I became suspicious! lol That's like the test to prove people don't read everything in the instructions. They start the test and others have read to the end & the last instruction is that if you are reading this - you do not need to take the test.. lol
JO, I've seen the eagles at CO several times today, if it says NO VIDEO sometimes if I hit refresh it comes back on, or I just click on the black screen and it comes up, I have to do that at VA sometimes.
MeMaJo Not sure if this is what you mean or not, but the Saanich cam has a very small temporary link off of my BLOG For the Love of Eagles..they don't have the big cam online yet. Just click on the one to BC. Also Hancock website which is really where you will be if you head for the bC cam has another link or two called Estruary 2 and Can't thinkof the other but sometimes there are eagles in Estruary 2 infact many think they have seen Li'l Sid there several times this winter. Hope that helps
Underneath the africam cam, there is a site for the Grouse MT bears, named Grinder and Coola. ALSO A NEW 2/23/07 UPDATE FROM FLA. Still waiting to see if eagles are going to have a new clutch, but nothing yet.
I am so thankful that our Sycamore is a very sturdy tree! On live feed you can get an idea of the winds we're experiencing.
I did refresh the FL page & for sure, Mits, there was 1/23/07 comment by Lynda. I never doubted you, I just didn't know why my pc wouldn't bring it up.
glad to read the blanket has reached its homw. I think it might be gonna feel pretty good before the weekend is over. Our bad weather starts in a very few hours here again :( But yep I have an eagle blanket too!
TEE-HEE... thought maybe I would give it to Maggie, but, she has enough blankets:):):). And besides it is too big for her, but when she comes over I will let her lay on it, she will like that, it is so soft.
Oh I can't remember if I told you all. Thank you Very Very much for praying for my sister. She is home from her daughters and doing much better. Yes she still has her tiny dog. She did change his name to "Boo" and when I'm on the phone with her it is so good to hear her laughing at him. lol
It is a windy cold evening. Watched OUR egg turning on the live cam & could see one of the eggs. Belle (?) really rocked and rolled on the eggs to get them under her just right.
Watching Belle turn the eggs at the nest just now where it is like 8:30 pm reminds me that she doesn't sleep through the night wether it is pleasant weather, blowing like crazy or rain sleeting and snowing all over her...she cares for the eggs. i wonder if Liberty stops by during the night too to exchange places. First night i can remember since we have eggs that someone could stay up and answer that question, but nO I don't think its gonna be me. Inquiring minds do want to know though, So Jim or Birdgirl if you shold see some action at the nest and think we're all asleep, how about snapping us a picture and answering the question.
Sleepwell all...Blog at ya some tomorrow and lots of camming I hope!
Happy weekend - glad to read today's blogs about all the eagle action - wow. Sorry to hear you've got a 'bug' Steven - hope it leaves you soon!
Did anyone check today's post on buta? There's a cute poem by Jay and he says we should know the tune - but I can't get the tune in my head - feeling pretty unsmart at the moment...
I couldn't get the tune either, Belle. Jay writes very well about our ButaButa. Once a week he usually does the coverage in a novel way. Maybe Mits will get the tune!! lol
Hello my dear friends of fine feathers!!! How is everybody this evening? I am working until 10 tonight so I will be back in a few minutes!! I have been neglecting the blog lately and it is time to get back in the groove. We have a lot going on around the eagles' nests!
Good thinking. The way he starts out with OH WHERE you think it's OhWhereOhWhere Has My Little Dog Gone.... But it's not that. And I don't think it is our Spunky song tune. I even tried BAA BAA BLACK SHEEP..... Like I said it's probably a hard rock tune
I remember learning it in grade school - don't know what they sing nowadays in the schools.
Sharon, I was thinking about Belle (who usually has night duty) nesting on those eggs for 30+ days & then being busy with the eaglets for another 2-3 months. Remarkable female!
Argh I just typed a nice long post covering everything I wanted to say before I headed to bed, and it didn't post :( Anyway thanks for the guesses on the poem - Jay is great at entertaining us, I wish I could view Buta more, but thanks for the heads up on the pics on the ajc site - going to check them tomorrow. I was thinking the song was 'I've got a baby bumble bee'...
glad our cam is up and live cam - wowser! How great will that be to watch if it is available tomorrow - I'm going to try it :)
It is great to see the cam working and being able to scope out Belle and the nest even in the dark... all the snow is melted and the nest looks fairly dry already. Fabulous...
The BW site has been running some interesting information and photos...guess you probably saw that already.
Anybody heard of any more eggs on the Channel Islands? All 3 pairs appear to be about to do it (one is in the process already).
Well, I'm pretty tired, and I still have things to do tonight, so I will wish everyone a good night and a good weekend now.
Good Saturday Morning - I hope someone will join me soon. The live feed is not up but our cam seems to be running well. Liberty, I think, is on the nest. I am going to go surf the other cams now.

You know over on one of their pages they have an Eagle Cam listed. I thought I had lost it when BW came on after I clicked........ lol
BOTH EAGLES AT SC.
The cam usually comes up after the advertisement is finished. I'll go over and look, have you seen the Grizzlies of Grouse MT, Jo?
MeMaJo Not sure if this is what you mean or not, but the Saanich cam has a very small temporary link off of my BLOG For the Love of Eagles..they don't have the big cam online yet. Jo, you just have to let the commercial play, they when cams are working they come right up.
I have been trying to..
I have watched the McNeil Grizzly Bears recently. It looks so cold to be in that water fishing.
Speaking of Li'l Sid, I just wonder where Li'l Spunky has been showing herself?
Thanks for the link info Glo.
OK Mits I will use more patience then before.... lol
Oh my, that Grizzly caught a very large fish & is having a feast.
Oh Well I knew that the McNeil cam had closed down this past summer, I just thought it had returned.
I am watching reruns of 2006 !!!
Underneath the africam cam, there is a site for the Grouse MT bears, named Grinder and Coola. ALSO A NEW 2/23/07 UPDATE FROM FLA. Still waiting to see if eagles are going to have a new clutch, but nothing yet.

turning eggs at VA again., and at our nest too.
Our eagle is doing the classic roll back and forth to settle on the eggs, gee it is so good to see this.
Boy they were way up close and personal with Norfolk trying to see into the egg hole. Didn't work but will be neat when they hatch.
Wind blowing the feathers on the back near tail of maybe Belle? Not sure who??
Those eggs are so far down in the nest bowl, that you can usually only see part of one when they are off them.
Been hearing the eagles in Maine. Like you said the other day Mits very "vocal".
They are somewhere close by Dana.
You got that right Mits. Probably sitting high in the tree. Or a tree near the nest. I love them calling.
Music to my ears, Dana.
Oh I can't remember if I told you all. Thank you Very Very much for praying for my sister. She is home from her daughters and doing much better. Yes she still has her tiny dog. She did change his name to "Boo" and when I'm on the phone with her it is so good to hear her laughing at him. lol
Buta Buta is awake!!
Glad to hear that, Dana..egg turning time at our nest.
And the wiggle down, pulling in materials, little fix up.
At DC one is asleep on rocks and another is asleep on the floor. Don't know which is which.
Buta Buta in bamboo forest.
Our's is not down in nest all the way on the eggs. Up looking around like expecting someone to fly in for maybe relief.
hee hee eagle at Norfolk white feathers on top of head just blew upward. Looked like a "bad hair day" lol

Just a guess, think it might be Lib, waiting for B
Did I miss a switch at our nest????
Maybe not??
Little birds are flying all around our nest, one just landed under the nest.
Darn just missed a shot of the sparrow climbing up the nest on the left-hand side
Got a good shot of the 3 eggs though.
wiggling back down into our nest
going to watch TV...
It is a windy cold evening.
Watched OUR egg turning on the live cam & could see one of the eggs.
Belle (?) really rocked and rolled on the eggs to get them under her just right.
Going over to the games..BBL
Watching Belle turn the eggs at the nest just now where it is like 8:30 pm reminds me that she doesn't sleep through the night wether it is pleasant weather, blowing like crazy or rain sleeting and snowing all over her...she cares for the eggs. i wonder if Liberty stops by during the night too to exchange places. Hi everyone,
Happy weekend - glad to read today's blogs about all the eagle action - wow. Sorry to hear you've got a 'bug' Steven - hope it leaves you soon!
Did anyone check today's post on buta? There's a cute poem by Jay and he says we should know the tune - but I can't get the tune in my head - feeling pretty unsmart at the moment...
EAGLE JUST FLEW INTO KENT NESR
egg turning at our nest...Hi Belle, I'll go check the tune.
Haven't a clue??????
I couldn't get the tune either, Belle. Jay writes very well about our ButaButa. Once a week he usually does the coverage in a novel way.
Maybe Mits will get the tune!! lol
Our live feed is up, Belle
Hello my dear friends of fine feathers!!! How is everybody this evening? I am working until 10 tonight so I will be back in a few minutes!! I have been neglecting the blog lately and it is time to get back in the groove. We have a lot going on around the eagles' nests!
Whoops! Mits already said she hasn't a clue. Maybe it's not really one of those child's tunes....Maybe it a hard rock song lol
Night all take care
Nite Dana - hear from you in the morning.
Good idea Sharon!!! See you after 10
Both Belle and Lady Blackwater have their heads tucked in under their wing. Still windy out there and very cold.........
I can't even give it a good guess, just blank when I look at it, but he is fun. He loves his pandas.
SHARON, SO GLAD TO SEE YOU:):):)!
BELLE DOES A GOOD JOB OF WRIGGLING.
I just emailed Atlanta Zoo to ask them to ask Jay what the tune is. MTBR!
Good thinking. The way he starts out with OH WHERE you think it's
OhWhereOhWhere Has My Little Dog Gone.... But it's not that. And I don't think it is our Spunky song tune. I even tried BAA BAA BLACK SHEEP..... Like I said it's probably
a hard rock tune
That's the tune I was thinking of , Jo, but, the words did not fit.
National Anthem doesn't fit either:(.
How about, "How much is that Doggie in the window???"
Some of the lines fit - I only know the 1st two lines of the song HowMuchIsThatDoggieInTheWindow...
But his 3rd & 4th verses don't fit.
And it sure isn't
Three Blind Mice lol
Well I think its My Bonnie lies over the Ocean OK thats all folks Good Night.
Glo, I think that is the best guess yet!
I am finally done with work. I saw Belle get up a few minutes ago and change positions. What diligent parents they are!!
Do you think there are kids out there who know My Bonnie lies over the ocean????
She is a good mom, Sharon. Is Mattie there tonight? Need to get my sister, "the lurker" to look at that poem....Ceil, if your around e-mail me.
Sweet dreams to all!
ajc.com has 2 videos down on the left side and on the right side there is a photo album of ButaButa
Mits, Mattie is at Beverly's again tonight. She is deserting me!
Well, friends, I am going to bed now. It has been a long day. Blog with you tomorrow.
Good night and sweet eagle dreams, my friends of fine feathers and fur!!
