We get a lot of calls and concerns from watchers and visitors that Mei Lan is not always in view. We try to put her on camera and place toys where she'll play, but she's mobile and has a will of her own. So look close, and be patient. She'll be where you can see her soon. And the tune for the following should be obvious, so here's something for your kids and classes.

I keep singing, "HOW MUCH IS THAT DOGGIE IN THE WINDOW?, but I don't believe kids today have ever heard of the song, just older than dirt people like me.

well my experience is its older than dirt folks who are on the blog and forums but yep its kids well and adults enjoying the panda...Maybe we need to know how old Jay is to know what tune he thinks is so familiar. I can sing it to My Bonnie lies over the Ocean...Listen now see...it works great for that one.
Norma lets hear how you tuck in the words for that doggie in the window maybe I have the time signature a little worng the way I am singing it :)

I have not been able to get Norfolk cam up at all today.
I was out at Post Office and CVS - I am now trying to get my EagleCam back up. It has been loading for quite a long time..Black screen..no update..
What kind of picture do any of you have on OUR cam.??
Been working on Norfolk cam today, says it below the pic, and OUR CAM, is the same old junk pic,,lines etc. sometimes black.
Panda Classic On Saturday, Mits & Glo and I & Sharon (I think that is who was in on it) made suggestions about the tune for Jay's words from the update on Friday. I am not convinced that any of our suggestions are actually correct. However, I think it is a kid's song because of Jay's remarks about school & Kids.
Sharon has emailed Jay for the
answer I have run so many songs through my head and none of his words fits the lines perfectly. MTBR
Mits, that message,I think, has been there since day 1. It's a good cover when it is down.
Incidentally, Jay is a fairly young man. His pic was in one of the ButaButa videos when she was getting a check up.

Jo, it is not always there, sometimes when the screen is black and there is no msg. if you refresh pic comes on, but if msg is there, not matter how many times I refresh it will not come on,.

I goofed and tried when it first snowed didn't want the freezing rain on it again. Boy do I ever have to learn by my own dumb mistakes...and I'm old enough now to know even. Duh me!

Well yes guessing the song was kind of fun. Glad Sharon has asked for the name that tune though. bet he will think its a riot we have all been sinign that song to different tunes for days now LOL The idea of asking grandkids is probably the best bet yet, well and of course asking Jay.

I had a day off today - thank you beautiul blanket of snow! I got to see Buta in her bowl for the first time, she is so adorable, just like Tai was (and still is)....
Sorry I started all the brain-teasing about the song... I have been humming tunes in my head for days now, and none quite fit. I am glad Sharon e-mailed to ask... yes I teach kids, but I can't think of a tune that has the right rhythm to match the meter correctly...I'm sure we'll all groan and slap our addled heads when we find out what it is.

9:12pm Just finished watching the Animal Planet's Incredible Journey and I certainly have a new respect for the Osprey! Sent Lisa quick note thanking her for the heads up about the program. Also, Lisa has excellent information on a new BW Web Page. She is the most considerate webmaster I know - making sure everyone knows what to expect in case the unexpected happens.

Well, I also can't see anything on the cam now, but I looked in from work around 5 eagle time, and it looked exactly like the eggs had been abandoned to the frigid wastes!! But I took another look a little later, and I'm not sure that the eggs haven't been moved closer to the camera...the "eggs" I saw could have been balls of snow.
Anybody else see anything like that??
