Basically what's happening is our voltage regulator for the cam microwave feed is going bad. We have ordered another one. Seems like we are in the process of replacing things in the cam system one by one. We're working on it...

Back from My Staff Meeting. There she sits like a good little mom.
Sure wish the still would work consistently whether or not we are still working out and ordering new parts etc for the live. maybe the issues are related. COnfusing at best and continued frusttrating for all I am sure. We still have all had the opportunity to see something this year we did not see last year. Hoping praying encouraging supporting and appreciating...that how I feel.

Eagle BW is off egg on side of nest-still just the one egg. I think (?) it can take 2-3 days before another may be laid.......

Good evening everyone. Been kind of lazy today. Worked a little while this morning and took a nap this afternoon. Then I had to pick Mattie and Justin up from school and go to the grocery store. Now I am working again. Wish now I had worked instead of napping!
Nilla, I get aggravated too when they turn the camera off before 5. That is 2 or 3 minutes we miss every day!

i agree and you would think with a high polluntin company like Earthlink we could have 24/7 cam service!!! Oh no weatherman said high winds agin and more snow .. not expecting abig deal with snow but enough to make it miserable...friday morning wind could be 0 or even 10 below ,, wow not good for those eggs... I got to share this with U'all I told you yesterday my daughter Dawn saw a Pregrin Falcon setting in the medium of interstate and she called me so excited even came on line to look for pictures of the bird to make sure thats what she saw... Which makes me happy that maybe just maybe she might be getting interested in birds... Guess they to are migrating back from South America...

I got a notice that she was going to be speaking at the Smithsonian's lecture series, but then couldn't find a link to any further information - I wouldn't have been able to take off work anyway :(

BELLE....what and amazing woman, that's right you would have loved it. I got both her books and can't wait to read them, will send them to you after I am done, if you like. I can't imagine her life growing up, but she had a strong set of parents, that demanded certain behavior of her, she was not spoiled like I think some normal and autistic children of today are.I knew exactly what she was taking about, I've always thought I've had some sort of learning disorder, but, I see so many things in the world that people just don't notice.

Congrats on the wax, Paula. I'm so comfortable on the blog and to me it is a much more stress-free enviroment to watch the eagles and pandas. I know it acts up all the time...wish it could be fixed permanently, but I like when people like Belle drop in, that we don't get to hear from often and the UK girls, its like being in the living room and people are stopping by for a visit.

March Disney world reservations canceled & flight money refunded. Some of the men were already back - some men's items were packed & had
already arrived at Ft Drum - now men & belongings are going back on the planes to Afghanistan.
My heart aches for Samantha who was telling School that her daddy would be back in 2 weeks! She wanted daddy to see her missing tooth. I told her Mom that I am sure she can handle the situation and keep Samantha happy! She's a good mom. Puts her daughter's feelings first.

Ya Know, I think I remember that about the BW cam going off at 11 from last season...although I thought it was midnight...which it might be when the time changes,....which is really cool because it will change to daylight savings time on March 11 this year...it is now 3 weeks earlier and 3 weeks later for daylight savings time each year...
I think it is she, and maybe al though I didn't get ot watch last night she was restless for a while. NOW that would matter if it is HE LOL
I was looking at my calender yesterday and am so happy about the longer days coming earlier. Better for eagle watching also.

8:13amEST eagle has left the osprey nest. He is up off egg in eagle nest. One egg showing. Let's see if there is a changing of the guard. I think so not sure...Suzanne did they change???
Well a fishcrow is in the osprey nest.
I measured him in the nest with a piece of paper and marked the length and width.
When she came in and has settled down. I put the paper markings up to her. Believe it or not she and he are about the same width. Although she is longer.
Do you notice Suzanne that she spreads her feathers in the nest where he doesn't.
I didn't type it but lol was thinking since Dad hadn't showed up at the leftovers (none now fishcrow got them) that he was out fishing for his own fish to eat ...lol Suzanne.

Yes Suzanne with her wings spread like that she is alittle wider than him then. Like I said when she has her wings closed they are same width but she is longer.
One way to tell her against him is she sits in nest sometimes with wings spread like she is now. He does not spead his wings.

You could see the shadow of the eagle at NE flying up into tree to sit on limb. Now seeing it flap is wings (the shadow of it doing it).
Last season it was NU and this season I guess it is NE. Confusing!
