Good morning y'all. Had a dusting of snow in North Alabama overnight. Finally turned cold.
After viewing all the photos and video's of Shep and Belle yesterday, I believe I need to have a male to male talk with Shep. I believe that boy needs some training. lol
Sure glad to hear that Tori is closer to a transplant. Prayers for her and Robyn.
Sharon, OK found Bluefield on the map. And am I correct that Hedgesville, where Lynn lives is also in the eastern panhandle, near Martinsburg (I know Lynn has already told me this but I've forgotten)? Being from MD and now DE, I didn't realize WV is such a big state until I looked at a map to see where you are!
Linda I do thank God and Praise HIM for your prayer. For He gives certain talents to people. I believe as I love to pray. God has given you the talent of prayer. Praise His Holy Name.
RED I am happy a male is going to have a talk with Shep our male eagle. I do believe he does need a males direction. I thank you...let us know when your going up the tree.lol
GOOD MORNING ALL... I just read about the Lung Machine, I, too, didn't know there was such a device. Sounds like a wonderful alternative for TORI while she is waiting on the REAL thing! I think that gives us all hope~
RED, when are you having your surgery? I do wish you well!
My surgery isn't scheduled yet. I'll be seeing the surgeon Tuesday. I watched a video of a hip replacement yesterday on the internet. Looked like something that I don't want but know I need it.
RED, Git-Er-Dun! I could not watch a video of an upcoming surgery! I know there is one of 'knee replacement', but I cannot it watch it. Maybe after mine is all done:)
Forgot to tell you that Liesl apparently had a restless night....doggie toy stuffings ALL over her bed...and one leg off of it....major mending later.....and definitely a new one next trip to PetSmart!
I didn't know what all was done with knee surgery until my surgeon showed me with a model. I thought all they did was take the knee out and stick a new one in. Now, I know they saw it out and the replacement has artificial bones on top and bottom that ate stuck into your femur and tibia (or whatever those bones are called). Freaked me out! I am somewhat naive, at times:)
If I may, I would like to repost my prayer for Tori on our fresh Friday so we can be reminded to keep her in prayer throughout the day today and those to come.........
Praise God!! To Him be the Glory!! Hallelujah!!!
We have waited patiently, Lord for something to happen, and although Tori is not ridding herself of the co2 as is necessary in this scenario, and we understand how serious her condition still is, we are finally hearing that they may move forward with the transplant, even though she can't get off the vent. There is hope...
I am filled with a renewed sense of joy and hope for Tori!! If there is any way, Dear Father, please make this happen for Tori. Make her an instrument of your grace and mercy.
Let her life shine for others to see the miraculous works you can do in this day. May the doctors hands be guided by Your divine Hands, the Master Healer, and may each person in Tori's path through the coming days be touched by Your guidance and Your will for Tori's life.
I truly believe that you have a plan for Tori's life and I am honored to be one here praying and witnessing what you will do next, Lord.
Bless Robyn, her family and all those praying and loving Tori through this horrible disease she has suffered with. May we confidently look forward to the day very soon that Tori will breathe freely. What a joyous and happy day that will be.
We ask these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, our Comforter, our Healer, our Redeemer and our King. Amen
Thanks Red!!! We need you here to handle such things. What do we women know? LOL
We greatly appreciate your having that talk with Shep. We are looking forward to a happier season this year. We want our own Bobbleheads and we know Belle does!
Good morning! Sitting here with a big smile on my face! Way to go, Red!!! Wahoooo! Well, I do see that you are out of sight of the cam, but up in the tree.☺ Probably best to have a private conversation with Shep!
Have not read the blog. Need to go back to the previous thread.
Completely forgot to ask that we all add Delphia to our prayers. Gov't is trying to take her disability away and make her return to the workforce. Don't see any way that she could work......and her newest malady still has not been diagnosed. FIGHT, Delphia!
Wish I had time to research the mating habits of young male eagles. I'm sure there is something about that subject on this 'puter! It just seems to me that mating 'properly' should come about after trying a time or two!
LINDA...ever since my hubby and I retired, I love the fresh, fallen snow. Looking at it, up through our woods is so relaxing...watching the animals, at night, in the snow on our trail cam, is a joy:)
Wanda - I have always loved snow, but never lived in it in my years of having to drive every day.
Agreed, that now that Dennis is retired and I mostly work from home, we can just make "snow days" our days to stay home and enjoy its beauty.
I certainly feel for those who have to scrape those windshields and dig out to get to and from work and school. I had to do it for my first few years here, but since it was new to me, living in it, I still didn't mind!
Beautiful! Now I understand the end of the service, where the song played and the young girl stood in the same exact setting with poster cards of love letters to Kris and Rachel. I loved the candles all around. It really was beautiful.
They did such a good job preparing for such an amazing tribute to his life and legacy.
Brought tears to my eyes once again. So young.......
My daughter leaves at 3am to go to work. Her driver is over 2 hrs. When their lease is up they are moving where it should take her 1/2hr. to get to work. Right now she has been pulling some 10 hr days. Will be pulling almost all 10 hr days next week for the full week. I hope they don't wear her out.
Linda, when I retired I was able to make the statement that I will NEVER drive in ice or snow again....and have stuck to it!! I always hated it...dreaded it....feared it. Had some very bad experiences when we lived up on the mountain and an unsympathetic spouse. Many nights at MN I would be stuck at the bottom of a hill (driveway) and have to call and wake him up to come get me. It wasn't TOO bad living here, because my trip was basically level driving....but other drivers always were my biggest menace.
Yes, Wanda, we did have the beautiful bobcat in jot backyard. Dennis just happened to look outside one snowy day and there it was, so he got a picture.
I guess we should try to get one, but I know nothing about them or how to view them. Do they hook to your computer like a live cam, or do you get digital video from them?
Have read the blog. Lynn, thanks so much for the info on the lung machine for Tori. Heavy duty, continuous prayers for that young lady.
I had never seen snow until I was 18 and in college. I love it, but do not like to drive in it or be a passenger. I am terrified! Ice is really a bigger and more frequent problem here.
So.....if I can make it to the April NCTC Open House, where is the best place to stay if I am driving from PA? I will be coming down I-81, and see several areas right off 81.
I know there is the Clarion in Shepherdstown, too. Is it kind of new? I like newer, clean places to stay. But I also would like to know where others may stay so we can spend time together if time permits.
Maybe I can even get Margy to take me to the swinging bridge.......
Shirley mentioned she made her reservations at the Clarion, I believe. I don't mind driving a little to the campus if it means a nicer place, but if the Clarion is nice enough, then I can make a reservation there.
I am thinking, too of places to eat close by, since it seems the hotels around the area don't offer continental breakfast according to the website.
The father at least lived on our street. Did not know him. We have a deadend street but it is long. His house is way down the street. Can not imagine why a father would shoot his son and no wonder why he then shot himself!
Linda, the Clarion is very nice. I got locked out of my room once though! :)
Kris and Rachel were also on Oprah when she was in Australia. Microsoft and Oprah gave them $250,000 so Rachel wouldn't have to work while he was taking treatments.
Shirley, you did mention you have mstayed there, right?
You were happy with the rooms, cleanliness of the bathrooms, etc? I hate it when it looks great from the outside and there is mold and cigarette burns all over the bathrooms and the beds are older than me!!
Shutting down now in case they show up early for my ride.
Jo, definitely will wear my mask....but will be wishing I had O2 to suck on at the hairdressers. At least a 100 ft. walk across parking area and then about 50 ft. of stairs down....and reverse coming out. :(
I am just full of information (or something like that) today. Here is the room where the wedding is going to be. You can take a virtual tour and view the whole room.
Love the picture of Red in the tree, CarolAnne! Now lets see if Shep has followed his advice! LOL
Kay, tried something new today. Instead of standing in front of the TV, Jack and I stood facing the kitchen window and watched the birds at the feeders while we walked. ☺ Our 2 mile walk went by faster but had to concentrate to listen to Leslie.
Hi, Everyone, Dropping by to say hello, but need to get going quickly. SO much to do, so little time!
Got a BOATLOAD of work from the Dr. yesterday. Feast or famine with them! Also must go pick up a Rx, and go grossery shopping. Oops--lotsa bills to pay online, too.
Will be in "lurk mode". Have seen some more prayer concerns, and have added them to my list. Please be assured that I do care very much--just not enough time to list everything today. Hope everyone has a great "Red Friday"! Love all of you! :o]
Good afternoon ! Seems like I keep getting behinder and behinder. It's been a busy week for me. Have read most posts, and appreciate all links and videos. Some glad, some sad, but all of interest !
LOLLY, what a great idea you and Jack had--I'm going to turn around and view the landscape, too ! Right now it's a white one, as snow began to fall about 9pm last night. Only about an inch, so hoping it's easy to negotiate when 4pm rolls round and it's time to leave for PT.
MARGY, so glad your dear sis is visiting Fred--that's a comfort gift for the whole family !
LYNN and JEWELS, hope the z-pack is bringing much relief. I'm a fan of those packs---they've brought me through a number of times !
PAULA, thanks for the heads up on PHC. I want to hear what is said about da bears !
Prayers non-stop for dear Tori and all who've expressed needs, whether human, feathered or furry.
I am off to start my day as well. Going to go "fix" my face and my hair. Both broke during the night! Yikes! Then just going to piddle around the house. Love retirement!
LINDA I stayed in the Clairon and I loved it nice and clean and nice people that work there I payed a little over a hundred not for sure of exact I can look it up if needed ok and they do have some signs along the road to find it
When I have gone to open house, I have taken along two daughters and my grandson. First year, we stayed at the Clarion, and the second year we stayed at the Comfort Inn.
Both were clean and satisfactory, but we preferred the Clarion because the rooms were bigger and because we liked being at the hotel where the Momster gatherings took place. This made more difference to us because we needed the larger room since there were more of us and my children liked to be able to go back to the room while I stayed with the other Momsters.
I think the Comfort Inn is less expensive, though. Don't remember how much difference there is.
I was able to use my AARP membership to get a reduced price at the Clarion.
Just check my receipt my room charege for 10-24-11 was 268.78 for 2 days 119.99 plus 7.50 tax each day it was a double bed room also and it was just me
Great news on FaceBook of another new eagle couple unlike ours LOL
by Sacred Friend - Wildlife RehabilitationSacred Friend - Wildlife Rehabilitation also shared Eagles at Norfolk Botanical Garden's status update. Eagles at Norfolk Botanical Garden The Norfolk Botanical Garden eagles mated on a branch in the original nest tree at about 6:50am this morning. A juvenile eagle spent the night two trees away from the current nest and flew off before the adults vacated the area at 7am.
Judy, the lock on the door used the card and malfunctioned. They had to take our door apart to get us in. Phone, car keys, everything was locked in the room. They did knock quite a bit off the cost of the room though.
Linda, I think you will be well-satisfied with the Clarion. Will Dennis be coming with you?
HEADS UP, Gang: We may be checking into alternate location for our Saturday dinner. Will let you know when the "planning committee" knows!
Red, forgot to congratulate you on the big Alabama WIN!!!! Go to CarolAnne's 2012 blog and see yourself in the tree with SHEP! Way to go, C/A!!!! I love it!!!!!
Thanks for the comments on Red/Shep sketch. Must advise though - not talent, just juvenile imagination. Hoped it would be good for a laugh.
As for snow - we promise to keep it here. Sorely needed for economic punch for the many ski hills & for those who count on shoveling the seats at the Packer stadium for $10 an hour.
Love ya all! Now gotta check on my refrigerator rolls to see if the dough is ready.
Last year, more than 1,300 active nests were counted in Florida, making it the nation’s third-largest concentration of bald eagles behind only Alaska and Minnesota.
That is in the article I just posted wow I am amazed
Lynn I waited till you got home to answer your question. The one about daughters boyfriend. No they should all have about a 1/2 hr. drive to their work places when they move.
James Hautman has won different years for the Federal Duck Stamp. James is the one that drew the picture for the couch pillow I have. Remember I brought it at the Goodwill for I think it was $2.57 or $2.59. All in his family I think mother and father too are artist. His brother Joseph Hautman won Federal Duck Stamp 1991, 2001, 2007 and 2011 (at NCTC) which will be made into the 2012-2013 Federal Duck Stamp. The picture was on one of Jo's emails recently.
CAROLANNE, LOL, Red up a tree and telling Shep the facts of life ! We can expect action now !!!
Julie just called to say our roads are quite clear. Once I'm out of my neighborhood, so in three blocks, it will be smooth sailing. Leaving in about 15 min. and hope to BBL. !
Julie invited me out for lunch tomorrow, yeah ! Love those one on ones !
LYNN, wish I were going out for beautification like you ! Guess PT is a bit more important for me right now, however. Later......
ROFLMAO of the word I had to type in for the promo bulitslh Looks like a good scramble of letters to me do you see the BS word LOL that was tooo funny that is the word I had to type in I copies and pasted it here
I took a bunch of pictures of some cool looking s----r Webs of my next door neighbors fruit tree it is full of webs and just glows in the sun I don't remember who is scared of them so don't go and look LOL The s-----r looks like a crab or I should say S-----s I see at least four on my side of the tree next to my carport Those are the little buggers that like to attach the webs to my truck and I walk through I have a stick I use but no issues this year YET I should say
May be we should show him the video of the other two times he seem to get it right Maybe the spot on his head is brain damage and he can't help it LOL of his brain oozing out LOL and he is senseless
I want to go ask my neighbor if I can go in her fence and get some video the tree just glistens with soooo many webs all are big too and not in my yard YEAH that is even better maybe after all these years they finally learned not to attach to the red pickup truck near the tree LOL
No, DANA, haven't blown away yet, but the wind is really blowing the for sale signs in fron of the one house that is still for sale!
Getting ready to go into GG's. No Family Friday...having Saturday Supper, instead. Karla and Donny are bringing Jayden...haven't seen him or her in three weeks! Denise and Brandon are coming also:) HABBY, HABBY!
Anyone considering a hotel room for the open house weekend might want to check things out. I was trying to research the rooms at the Comfort Inn and got a notice that no rooms are available. However, I think it is a good idea to call the hotel. I thought the same thing was true of the Clarion, but that turned out to be wrong.
Hallelujah - it's the weekend, and a 3-day one at that (school closed for MLK Day on Monday - I challenged my kids to think about why they're off and said that the best way for them to honor Dr. King on Monday is for them to DO something for someone. I'm sure my words went in one ear and out the other!) CarolAnne - love the sketch! Hope Shep was listening carefully to Red's lecture! If not, I hope he has access to Red's blog to check out the illustration he drew! =) We are off to Baltimore to visit my mom - home tomorrow night. There's a restaurant near her house that makes sour beef and dumplings that are almost as good as the ones Mom used to make (she has trouble standing long enough to make them herself anymore), so Mom has said we'll go there for dinner tomorrow before we head home. It's one of my absolute favorite "winter comfort food" meals but Sussex County, DE locals have never heard of it and I have yet to find a place that makes it! God knows, I have NO idea how to make it myself! I told my sister to make sure she learns how to make it so the recipe doesn't die when Mom is gone! I also want to get to PetSmart to buy Bandit a Thunder Shirt - anxious to see if it helps with his car anxiety on the ride home. Stay warm and stay safe! Continued prayers and positive energy for all connected to this blog who need it!
Well the temps will drop since night time is coming on. Turn your heat up or build those fires.
By the way if you are inside your house and someone is buring their fireplace and the smell bothers you. Go to your furnance and use a car dedorizer that you hang up and hang it on where the vents are. Works real good!!!!!
Sandi, have a safe trip and enjoy your visit AND your special meal. I've never heard of it, either....but I will look on the net for a recipe! And I'm just betting that the thunder shirt will make your ride home more peaceful!
Okay---I looked up Sandi's beef and dumplings. It's better known as sauerbrauten......sounds delicious.....but not easy to make. The dumplings are made from mashed taters-----never heard of that before!
I looked - on google there is a recipe that is even called "Baltimore Style Sour beef & dumplings".
Still so tempted to do a Bloggers cookbook. Anyone want to forward their favorite recipes to me and I will see if I get enough to do something with them.
Gelle is really moving the flugg around. Shep just wants to beak! I think Red should have left his drawing thumb tacked to the tree as a reminder as well as instructions.
headin out to Angies Funny I just said its getting dark meaning at the nest and Jordyn opens the door and says not dark outside OMA cute kid BBL late She has asked to take the camera home with her Angie better watch out she will take over the family picture taking LOL Wanda I down loaded the pic to my puter some are so funny I can see what she is laughing at I can post some later when I get back or maybe just email to you OK out the door I must go
Today is a sad anniversary for the DC area......30 yrs. ago this afternoon (early rush hour) was when the plane crashed into the 14th St. bridge......the main way into DC from Virginia. Can't even begin to tell you how many times I have crossed it. Such a tragic day---and how many changes in emergency response have occurred as a result.
Good CBS TV night! AND tonight is the series finale for Extreme Makeover....7 jobs in Joplin, MO. They should be good ones. WooHoo---date with Tom at 10!
I am back... I bought a bed and a mattress I think I was influenced by the posts from JO...They will deliver them this afternoon... LOVLEY day here, blue skies again for a week now and it is cold and crisp. I LOVE IT.
RED where in CANADA did you live? You sqaid you were here for 11 years and that influenced your not liking snow...Did you live up North?Or was it in a city?
So what happens I leave you all for a few hours and come back to discussions on porn and graphic diagrams and escapades up a tree...NOW NOW !!! It was HILARIOUS to catch up with the blog...
I see there wa a visit and it is still windy in Shepherdstown. Btten down the hatches you all!!!
LOLLY such a sad story about the chap shooting his son and then himself...I am glad you and Jack are safe. Enjoy your time with MICHAEL, ASHKEY and ZACH.
LYNN two whole days without having to go out...HURRAH...have you heard from Carolyn are the meds working. Thanks for the link to explain what is going on with TORI. Medical information is so much easier to comprehend when you tell us what it is...I wished my doctor is as articulate...
Thinking of Tori and wondering why she couldn't have been put on that fantastic little machine a long time ago. Before her whole system got so worn out.
More than I will ever understand, the whys and wherefores of pain & suffering . . .
Hedgie - RE: Links I always just did the "copy/paste" version. Sometimes WVDana would redo it and re-publish it for me. Then she sent me the directions in an email. The first time I tried it I clicked on Preview and figured I did something wrong as I was expecting to see the www. address, so I didn't try again for awhile. Then it dawned on me when someone does a link you don't see the full address, just their caption. LOL So tried it again today. Ta dah, think I got the hang of it!
HODA - Congrats on your purchase. I beat next to yoga, this will be the most relaxing thing you do. Might even keep you in bed without that early am cup of tea.
Hoda, I lived in Erin, Ontario, a little town about 65 miles NE of Toronto. I worked in Brampton, Ontario at a computer timesharing facility. Brampton was about 30 miles away and in 11 years I never missed a day of work because of the weather. Canadians know how to keep the roads clean. Most know how to drive in it too. We can get two inches of snow here and everything shuts down. haha

If the nest is rockin don't come a knockin at my door LOL Ok it just popped in to my head LOL
Thanks for the call over, Lori! Sharon, where is Bluefield in relation to Shepherdstown?
Sandi, S-town is in the eastern panhandle and I am in the southern-most tip of the state.
Good morning y'all. Had a dusting of snow in North Alabama overnight. Finally turned cold.
After viewing all the photos and video's of Shep and Belle yesterday, I believe I need to have a male to male talk with Shep. I believe that boy needs some training. lol

Lynn, thanks for the link to UMMC...very encouraging...didn't know they had a lung device.
Sandi, you are correct on Lynn.
RED I am happy a male is going to have a talk with Shep our male eagle. I do believe he does need a
males direction. I thank you...let us know when your going up the tree.lol
I'm in the tree now. Just waiting on Shep to drop in. If you hear crashing noises, you'll know I just departed. haha
ROTFLMBO, Red!

If Shep can get the nest to rockin', we will all be cheering.
Last night, Kathryn asked me if I was watching eagle porn. I told her that the problem was that there was no porn.
Well, if Red is climbing the tree, maybe he doesn't need surgery!
RED, Git-Er-Dun!
I could not watch a video of an upcoming surgery! I know there is one of 'knee replacement', but I cannot it watch it. Maybe after mine is all done:)
LOL, Red and Shirley! You are both right!!! If Red can teach the boy then we will have some porn to watch!
Sandi, H'ville is about 10 miles from Martinsburg, and about 25 from S'town.
LOL---just think how big VIRGINIA was before the illegal split!!
Of course, if I tried to climb that tree, I would need surgery afterwards.
Forgot to tell you that Liesl apparently had a restless night....doggie toy stuffings ALL over her bed...and one leg off of it....major mending later.....and definitely a new one next trip to PetSmart!

Thank you, WVDana...... You are too kind

We are at the same temperature here in PA, Lynn. Very windy, too. Looks like the snow has stopped falling, but it is so beautiful, outside.
I do love the fresh snow.......call me crazy, but is so peaceful and beautiful......
If you don't have to go out and fight driving on the roads, it is great!

Sharon - I watched Kris' whole funeral service at C3 Church online last night.
Beautiful and inspiring tribute to an amazing young man.
Thank you for sharing your friendship with Kris with us!
He truly touched so many lives in the name of Christ. A young man with his priorities in the right place, for sure.
RIP Kris in your glorified body with no cancer!!
LINDA...ever since my hubby and I retired, I love the fresh, fallen snow. Looking at it, up through our woods is so relaxing...watching the animals, at night, in the snow on our trail cam, is a joy:)
I think thats why I need it Shirley. I climbed too many trees when I was a kid and jumped out of them
Not sure if I have shared this before but this is how I discovered who Kris was.
Kris' Love Letter to Rachel
Can't believe that idiot loggers are out cutting trees in this wind....it will be a miracle if no one gets hurt or killed. Geesh!
Wanda - I have always loved snow, but never lived in it in my years of having to drive every day.

How lovely that is, Sharon.....and a beautiful tribute to love and marriage. Guess I know HOW you found it now!!!!
Sharon - WOW!!

I always loved snow. That was until I lived 11 years in Canada. Now I don't care if I ever see snow again. haha
Lynn, I am glad that scary part of your life is over!!
Black ice is the worst, too!
LINDA, don't you have a trail cam? Wasn't you who had a bobcat to visit?
Yes, Wanda, we did have the beautiful bobcat in jot backyard. Dennis just happened to look outside one snowy day and there it was, so he got a picture.
I guess we should try to get one, but I know nothing about them or how to view them. Do they hook to your computer like a live cam, or do you get digital video from them?
Well, I guess I fooled around long enough to get on a New Fresh Thread.
Thanks Steve!
Wanda & Red - sometimes knowing too
much is scary - Better to watch the videos afterwards!
Take you mask, Lynn! I'm not even opening the door to throw out some
peanuts for the squirrels.
Need to read previous thread... BBILW
WOW I just never remember our nest over the years rocking like this in the wind!!!
I hope that old tree and limbs continue to hold that heavy nest of ours.
I remember NBG nest rocking some of us would get seasick.
Here is the story from last night.
Why our street was blocked last night
The father at least lived on our street. Did not know him. We have a deadend street but it is long. His house is way down the street. Can not imagine why a father would shoot his son and no wonder why he then shot himself!
That was my delete....... Double posted!
How awful, Lolly.
I meant to share this the other day. This is an article about Mattie and Justin's grandfather, Chris' dad.
Joe Kessler
Linda, have never stayed at the Clarion but it is a very nice hotel. That is where the Fri and Sat dinners will be held.
Jack and I have been there twice, but we stay in an RV park in our travel trailer.
Will not be at open house this year. I get very sad when I read about the newbies who will be there. I will attend in spirit!!
Leaving for a while!
Time to walk....that is 4 times this week. Yea, for me!☺
Linda, the Clarion is very nice. There are plenty of nice cozy places in Stown for breakfast...
Sharon, thanks for the video from Kris. I was wondering how you found out about him.
How sad, Lolly.
We had good breakfasts at the Clarion. There are several restaurants in the hotel.
Sharon, very neat about Joe Kessler.
Lolly, sad sad story.
I sure feel asleep for a while. I guess the getting up at 3 got me.
Paula,
Thanks for the heads up about Prairie Home
Companion show Saturday, I'll try to listen...
that was a post you made last night
Good Day Eagle Pals...trying to read just can't talk much
What a great story about Joe Kessler!! Thanks, Shar. Hope he gets that transplant soon!
Linda, the Clarion is very nice....don't think you'll be disappointed at all. I'll send directions for you via 81 before the time comes!
DanaWV, will the move affect Raschida's bf's job?
Shutting down now in case they show up early for my ride.
Jo, definitely will wear my mask....but will be wishing I had O2 to suck on at the hairdressers. At least a 100 ft. walk across parking area and then about 50 ft. of stairs down....and reverse coming out. :(
See you all this evening.
Morning all - tending to prayers as always.
Have added pic of Red setting Shep straight- on blog 2012. LOL
Will add snow pictures shortly.
Back soon.
I am just full of information (or something like that) today. Here is the room where the wedding is going to be. You can take a virtual tour and view the whole room.
Erma Byrd Gallery
Love the picture of Red in the tree, CarolAnne! Now lets see if Shep has followed his advice! LOL
Kay, tried something new today. Instead of standing in front of the TV, Jack and I stood facing the kitchen window and watched the birds at the feeders while we walked. ☺ Our 2 mile walk went by faster but had to concentrate to listen to Leslie.
Hi, Everyone,
Dropping by to say hello, but need to get going quickly.
Dubby wants to do shopping errands today. Ugh.....
Well at least the drive will be beautiful full the mountains. We have to get gross series, go to Sams Club and get a new tractor battery
Guess I better go dry my wet head!
Thanks for the hotel info. I just like things CLEAN and not 100 years old!! The Clarion sure looks nice from the outside!
BBL
Stoopid spell checker is messing me up!!
It doesn't know "our" words like grossery!,
Good afternoon !
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
I am off to start my day as well. Going to go "fix" my face and my hair. Both broke during the night! Yikes! Then just going to piddle around the house. Love retirement!
Climbing that Sycamore wore me out. Think me and the pups will take a short nap now. Had to draw a picture for Shep. Think he understands now. MTBR.
Thanks, Red, we do appreciate it! Have a good nap. Glad you are down from the tree safe and sound. roflmbo Would love to see that picture you drew!!!!
Lunch time is over here - good ole
swiss cheese.
Going in to "Clean Up Jo"
BBL (it takes a while)
Kay - hope PT goes well
Lynn- hope session is without hassle today.

and the Clarion is a hop skip and jump from the nest maybe 4 miles from what I remember
I hqave not read back. Beautiful day here today. headed off to enjoy the day.
Take care see you all in the evening.
PRAYERS.
We are paying $107.99 per night for the four of us at the Clarion.
Just check my receipt my room charege for 10-24-11 was 268.78 for 2 days 119.99 plus 7.50 tax each day it was a double bed room also and it was just me
I couldn't see the room Sharon needing a password it seem
Great news on FaceBook of another new eagle couple unlike ours LOL
by Sacred Friend - Wildlife RehabilitationSacred Friend - Wildlife Rehabilitation also shared Eagles at Norfolk Botanical Garden's status update.
Eagles at Norfolk Botanical Garden
The Norfolk Botanical Garden eagles mated on a branch in the original nest tree at about 6:50am this morning. A juvenile eagle spent the night two trees away from the current nest and flew off before the adults vacated the area at 7am.
my delte part didn't post right
Judy, the lock on the door used the card and malfunctioned. They had to take our door apart to get us in. Phone, car keys, everything was locked in the room. They did knock quite a bit off the cost of the room though.
Home with some time to kill! Hairdresser called right before I left and postponed apptmt. until 4.
Now to catch up with you all!
Thought you might like to see this Eagle in our area
Pinellas Co Eagle population
Last year, more than 1,300 active nests were counted in Florida, making it the nation’s third-largest concentration of bald eagles behind only Alaska and Minnesota.
That is in the article I just posted wow I am amazed
Lynn I waited till you got home to answer your question. The one about daughters boyfriend. No they should all have about a 1/2 hr. drive to their work places when they move.
Check it out!
Live cam about 1 hour from Glo's
Well now I am wondering where the Open House Dinner might be. Maybe some people would want to get a hotel closer to where that will be held at???
Great article, JudyE. You should see eagles all the time!!! Eyes to the skies, as Suz says!
DanaWV, good that it will be much more convenient for the kids---and how much gas $$ they'll save!
JUDYE - love the picture that was with the article. Neat to see an eagle on the branch & the nest w/eagle at the same time. Nice and clear too.
No, DanaWV, it's still close by if we make a switch.
Okay....be back before dark, hopefully.
Later......
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Picture I drew for Shep is on my blog. Enjoy the porn. lol
Still one egg at BW
ROFLMAO of the word I had to type in for the promo bulitslh Looks like a good scramble of letters to me do you see the BS word LOL that was tooo funny that is the word I had to type in I copies and pasted it here
Red loved your drawing!!
Did you read comments on CarolAnne's blog ??????????
I took a bunch of pictures of some cool looking s----r Webs of my next door neighbors fruit tree it is full of webs and just glows in the sun I don't remember who is scared of them so don't go and look LOL The s-----r looks like a crab or I should say S-----s I see at least four on my side of the tree next to my carport Those are the little buggers that like to attach the webs to my truck and I walk through I have a stick I use but no issues this year YET I should say
Drive careful and watch those other drivers I'm more worried about Lynn.
RED, if that pic doesn't help Shep, then, nothing will;)LOL
Where did you put them JudyE????
Hi Wanda you and Gene haven't blown away down there yet have you? Since they cut all those tree across from you.
WVADANA on my facebook profile page I was bored with Jordyn sleeping so I have been playing with pictures outside while I was picking up
May be we should show him the video of the other two times he seem to get it right Maybe the spot on his head is brain damage and he can't help it LOL of his brain oozing out LOL and he is senseless
Denise and Brandon are coming also:)
HABBY, HABBY!
Plenty windy here. Brrr.
Almost sounds safe enough to turn up the volume the nest doesn't seem to be swaying as bad now
Just read the comments on CA's blog. Seems like we all have a good sense of humor. It's good for the soul.
Double the comments since I was last here - I have watched 2 old Criminal Minds shows.
Now I'm thinking of what to do for dinner - Pizza maybe......
Need to read back & check out FB
Hope I find Lynn at home with a new do!
The wind chill is horrific....
Thinking another egg at BWE will be
tomorrow.
Loretta O'Malley Announces $23M for State Parks
Maryland state parks are set to get nearly $23 million under a proposal by Gov. Martin O'Malley.
Hallelujah - it's the weekend, and a 3-day one at that (school closed for MLK Day on Monday - I challenged my kids to think about why they're off and said that the best way for them to honor Dr. King on Monday is for them to DO something for someone. I'm sure my words went in one ear and out the other!)
CarolAnne - love the sketch! Hope Shep was listening carefully to Red's lecture! If not, I hope he has access to Red's blog to check out the illustration he drew! =)
We are off to Baltimore to visit my mom - home tomorrow night.
SANDI - have a safe trip & an enjoyable visit.
Let doggy wear the Thunder shirt for a bit before getting back on the road. Sure has made a difference for our dog!
Take care, have a great time!
Home again, home again,
jiggity-jig!
Forgot how fast a simple cut goes! No other customers...and end of her day so she wasn't dawdling at all!
Now I don't have to go ANYPLACE for two whole days!
Sandi have a safe trip...see you when you get back. Hoping the thunder shirt helps Bandit on his ride home. fingers crossed
LOL----my security word for Red's blog is PENCL.......doesn't look like a pencil drawing to me!!!
It's beautiful, Red!
Sandi, have a safe trip and enjoy your visit AND your special meal. I've never heard of it, either....but I will look on the net for a recipe!
And I'm just betting that the thunder shirt will make your ride home more peaceful!
Eagle!!!!1
Shep has landed
Think it is Shep and heard Belle near the cam in the tree.
Shep in nest
two eagle
He is working on the nest.
Belle!
They are both working near the egg cup. Let's see if Shep learned anything from Red. Uh oh, bickering!
Belle flew in right after Shep
Waiting.....
Waiting to see if Belle turns around and Shep remembers Bill's (Red's) drawing!!!!!
what was the black thing that one of them picked up its at to the bottom they act like they are trying to cover it up???
Padding that egg cup!
Gelle is really moving the flugg around. Shep just wants to beak! I think Red should have left his drawing thumb tacked to the tree as a reminder as well as instructions.
hold on tight guys the winds is gonna take you out of the nest
New spelling for Belle! lol
one is at 6 shep belle is in cup area
Egg cup is really deep
Shep looks like he is about to poof instead of HP.
shep act POOF POOF
I don't think Shep listened very well. He might need a second lesson.
POOF Shep.
Poof!
Hi everyone.
Seems these two can't get along.
Such beakering.
Going in lurk mode unless something exciting happens.
that was suppose to act as if he was gonna poof and he did
Whoa! Looked as though the wind
just blew him out of the nest
wow wind is blowing her white head feathers
Ready to climb the tree again, Red?
beautiful Belle is alone
Would like Shep to return and remember his lesson. Fingers crossed!
Wish they had had HP I can't be sure if
it wasn't Belle that went poof
Just looking at the size and feather
neck
May be necessary. I'll take my hammer next time to get his attention. lol
Wow, looks like Belle is trying out the egg cup.
Belle laying in egg cup
Take an eagle cane next time, Red. Hammer might be a bit too much.
Someone get pic of mating eagles from this site and thumbtack w/Red's drawing at the tree:
see eagles mating pic
I think she is waiting on Shep to return with more fluff.
CLAP CLAP
YEA YEA
I did a link
hee hee hee
Belle poofed!
And POOF, Belle.
POOF
OOPS
Must have clapped to loud.
Sorry about that!
Good on you, CarolAnne!
We are going to pick up the Pizzas and
go over to my son's home.....
BBL
Mema Jo - hope one's pepperoni.
Enjoy!
Ahhhh, CarolAnne, that is the nest I went to Sunday. Saw two eagles and they have two eaglets in the nest. The hatched some time in December.

Well LOLLY, then apparently they really know how to do it! Good teachers for Shep.
LOL, Red----she got tired of waiting for him!
CarolAnne....I'll send you recipes over the weekend! Maybe an email to the momsters would be a good idea making your request!!
The recipe I found also said Baltimore---lots of German history.
Thanks for the suggestion Hedgie - will do.
I remember seeing those Llano pics before!!
What a difference 3 weeks make----5:45 and just now "dark"---still see pink sky in the west! COME ON SPRING!!!
CarolAnne---congrats on link success....didn't realize it was your first.
Diann.....you disappeared too fast!
Jo, I'll take Pepperoni, please!
Enjoy.
More than I will ever understand, the whys and wherefores of pain & suffering . . .
Hedgie - RE: Links
I always just did the "copy/paste" version.
Enjoy your 2 days of freedom from schedules.
HODA - Congrats on your purchase. I beat next to yoga, this will be the most relaxing thing you do. Might even keep you in bed without that early am cup of tea.
BET not beat
Hoda, I lived in Erin, Ontario, a little town about 65 miles NE of Toronto. I worked in Brampton, Ontario at a computer timesharing facility. Brampton was about 30 miles away and in 11 years I never missed a day of work because of the weather. Canadians know how to keep the roads clean. Most know how to drive in it too. We can get two inches of snow here and everything shuts down. haha
WOW I get the facial today. lol
