Lynn, hope the afternoon goes well and you get some yummy lunch. Just curious -- does the oncologist get some sort of pictures or other type of information on the effects of the radiation? How does that work?
Get the live cam off and on -- don't know what the problem is.
Had to leave suddenly, got the call that the car was ready. They replaced the radio and CD player, but did not find our CD that Jack is missing. It was just malfunctioning. Glad it was still under warranty.
Well, LOLLY, where is the CD, if they didn't find it in the player? That is very peculiar:) I had my car for about a week and couldn't figure out how to get the CD player to work...went back to dealership and they couldn't figure it out, so they installed a brand new one (my car was a used 2 year old)...turns out the radio and CD player is a BOISE. Beautiful sound. In the Spring and Summer months, I open my sun/moon roof and turn the IL DIVO CD on and I feel like a young girl again...get back home in such a good mood:)
Jack has searched for the CD. It is opera, one of his favorites. One one these days it will show up in a peculiar spot. Can two CDs fit into one case? Hmmmmm???
We have Serius radio and therefore do not play CDs very often. Take them with us on trips. Did I tell you Laurel gave me the Scotty CD for Christmas. ☺ She understands!
I need to know where beside the bearcenter do you access the Jewel cam? Also, are any of you reading any chats for that cam?
Need to go get beautiful. Becky cut my hair differently this last time. I like it, but it needs more attention in the mornings. LOL Went to the car dealer looking like something the cat drug in, oh well, they do not know me. LOL
Paula, Wow! Those fish are huge! How much weight can an adult eagle carry? Hard to believe that even an eagle could scoop a fish that size out of the water and then carry/lift it 90 feet in the air to bring it to a nest! Amazing!
trying to get hold of people that were involved in the 94 are no longer there The lawyer I had is not listed Will have to do tomorrow I guess lunch is over and on luck on the phone I guess I will have to get a rehab layer to handle it Will call the Dr I had also tomorrow wanted me to leave message doesn't anyone answer the phones now days I am so frustrated again I HATE WALMART at this second
Judy, so sorry that this crap is starting again for you! =( Red, were you on the OC forum trying to stir up trouble? Shame on you! You'll have better luck talking with Shep!
LOL Red! Shame on you! Ben is a silly name but let them have it. Spot is a ridiculous name for an eagle. I think there may be some very nice but not too informed eagle watchers over there. Ignore them. JUst read their posts and laugh!
Okay, so if those folks don't want to use the name Shep, then they are not allowed to use the name Belle. That is our name for her! LOL!!!!! They need to find their own name!
I am off to my autobiography writing group and I finished writing a story about my niece's wedding. After Autobiography I will head to yoga so I will not be back on before the evening. I hope LYNN's day is going really well and Prayers for all.
If you would have been watching, you would know why the male was called Spot. In the beginning of this ordeal, no one knew what became of Lib. The only method of IDing THIS bird was physical markings. Logical name, and it stuck. get over it
I live on a lake by the missouri river in Iowa. We have as many as 50 eagles of all ages in the fall, pre-nesting. Right now they have spread out, but we still have several non-mating age guys. They roast in our tree while watching the geese below. fun. I subscribe to Paula site, and completely enjoy it. very informative. I read the Shepherdstown site here everyday.
I'm feeling so badly for JUDYE. She is probably an asset to her work place and those who are giving her a hard time, probably don't even know her and how much she adds to the success of her store...good employees are HARD to find...expecially in WAL MART. wE HAVE SOME REAL DOOZIES HERE!!
I just clicked on the sitemeter at the top (never did that before) - sure gives lots of information about blogger location, countries ,etc. Interesting
Hi Rich, We are all aware of what happened last spring. This nest is watched 24/7. There isn't much that has been missed. We called the eagle who replaced Lib "truder" but has since been named Shep. Shep is the name he goes by on this blog.
I'm wondering if the folks on OC know why we have named our new male "SHEP"...short for our sweet little College/Very old town of SHEPHERDSTOWN? Very apropos:)
RICH , if you want some more addictive watching while we all wait on eagle eggs & eaglets try out the wild bear cam - bear is believed to be pregnant and in early labor:
For those of you who haven't met JudyE...she is very friendly and the type of person that I would like to encounter at a store, if I had a problem and needed to speak to someone about it~ I don't remember what her job entails, but 50lbs is a lot for a female to have to lift...think about TWO 25lb bags of bird seed, being lifted at one time...whoa!
I can barely lift a large bag of dog food! I usually send one of the kids to the store to get it, or I send Monte and I think the largest bag at the grossery story is 35lbs.
Okay....I have only gotten as far as the post about Red posting on OC---had to go look..... Haven't gotten to his yet, but SO glad to NOW know that Ben Franklin was our president....unbelievable that I have been so dumb.....GEESH!!!
I carried two 40-pound bags of potting soil to my porch, but that was my max. Had to stagger a bit to do that. Would not be able to do it for a living.
When I could no longer do office work, I worked a night shift at a local Kmart. Crew entailed 4 to 6 women. We lugged and carried and helped each other with all diferent sizes & weights of merchandise. By morning we were hot & dirty. I cannot imagine any day shift being required to do that kind of work around customers.
Rich I see your postings over on the OC forum - thanks for joining in here.
I realize that after Red gave Shep instructions on HP, he was encouraged by some to go over to OC and "set them straight". Bad move in my humble opinion. OC forum is happy where they are and in what they think. OK so we have different thoughts - There are 2 beautiful eagles for the Shep'twn nest. Their names very well could be Muff & Tuff. What I am saying is - Enjoy our eagles but let others in their own way enjoy them just as much. Truthfully - our blog is sounding very child like with the comments being made. How about we stick to our own blog and not worry about any others that differ from us. You have all been taught the rule to "Don't say something if you can't say something nice. Peace - Jo ♥
Actually, I did only say nice things over thereabout the people here, what they do for each other, and how they go above & beyond just "watching" online.
My day did not go too well. Firsdt, they tried to break the radiation machine and left me stuck with my arms over my head for too long....now my bursitis in my shoulder is acting up. Went to Pizza Hut and got a little pizza....paying the price now with hiatal hernia acting up. Got to the credit union only to find that the lobby closes at noon on Weds. ARGH!! Got stuck in traffic from an accident at the high school. And then regualr bank wouldn't take my coins through the drive thru', so had to park and go in! So there.....that was my afternoon.
Liesl's new crate just came!!! Wish me luck on assembling!
Jo, I don't care what they call the birds. I just object to the mis-information they spread that so much of the camera viewing public probably sees first.
Lord God I am praying now as they do the CT Scan on Tori. That they DO NOT FIND ANY BLEEDING. I ask you Lord to prepare the way for good results. In Thy Name I Ask This Amen
So I see that Jewel is at rest again. Did see her doing saw paw chewing for a minute or so......saw that they feel sure that she will probably have two cubs---which they say is normal for first-time moms.
Home from a long day of state testing and THEN a faculty meeting! Lynn, after the day you've had, you may not be in the right frame of mind to assemble Liesl's new crate. I'm getting that visual again of you with a sledge hammer, like when you were having trouble with the sewing machine!? =) Judy, I've never even met you and can tell that you must be great at helping/talking with customers - why would management want to mess with an employee who is such an asset in terms of customer service? Hope Belle and Shep didn't get their nest quota in early in the day and decide to stay away this evening. OK, I've gotta make dog food so I'll take the laptop into the kitchen while I work; I'll be here but in LM.
Lynn, thanks for the info on how they know what's going on internally. Also, after the stinky day you had, IF you get the new crate assembled, could you fit in there and hide away for awhile with Liesl?
Good news for Red on getting his surgery date. Will mark my calendar.
Thank you Jo for the Tori update. Still sending healing thoughts and prayers.
Ben was President of the Executive Council of Pennsylvania. He served as a delegate to the Constitutional Convention and signed the Constitution. One of his last public acts was writing an anti-slavery treatise in 1789.
Benjamin Franklin was one of the Founding Fathers and a genius. He helped create the American system of government. However, he never served as president.

Nila has been fighting cancer for about 3 years. Started as rectal cancer, went to her liver and lungs. They did an ablation on the spot on her liver. She went through several different chemotherapies and they stopped all of it about a month ago. Now the pain in her stomach has gotten really bad. She keeps saying she wants to live long enough to see Andrew get married but I am afraid . . .
@SharonI didn't know Sharon I don't see on the prayer list where you have ever ask prayer for her. Maybe I missed it...if so I am sorry. She is now on the prayer list and Lord Sharon I am praying for you as her friend. God Bless this lady Nila and God Bless You Sharon for being there for her.
Sharon, so sorry to hear about your friend. Jo, how long a drive is it from Sebbyville (as the locals say it) to Middletown, MD (not sure where Middletown is)?? Lynn, Glad you're not trying to assemble the crate right now. You need a positive frame of mind and I'm not getting a vibe that you have that after your day! Thought I heard a clunk on the nest cam a few minutes ago and figured we might see Shep or a re-appearance of Miss Belle, but it's not looking that way. So, dog food is made, now to throw something together for the people in the house. TTFN!
Sharon, so sorry about your friend. I was thinking you were talking about our Nilla....but different spelling should have been a clue to this slow brain. Well, please let her know that she is on the Momster prayer list.
Hedgie- to relate 4lbs to life, I have photos of 2 eagles trying in vain to pick up a small kitten...for about 1/2 hour- to heavy, despite their persistence.. they gave up and let it lay...
Oh, I do not like to think of eagles getting a kitten. Let's erase that memory. How fantastic, though, Rich that you see so many eagles. I am very very jeaous!
Testing then a faculty meeting. Man, they sure know how to do the teachers in don't they Sandi! Staff meetings are such a waste of time, nothing that needs to be discussed that can't be put into an email as far as I'm concerned. Glad you made it through, have a nice glass of your favorite adult beverage and relax ☺
check these photos...it isnt a young one..not 12lbs., but 3 1\2-4 1/2 years old https://picasaweb.google.com/114825278602229196730/HintonEagle#5581187801269926242
2011 was the first year that I watched the Decorah nest - I could not believe some of the food those parents flew into that nest! My students were so wowed by that, as was I. Rich, welcome to the blog - I am pretty new here myself. I'm envious that you live where you can see eagles frequently, though I'm not sure I would want to live in Iowa any more than I'd want to live in Wisconsin! (wink, wink CarolAnne!!) Then again, I live in Sussex County, DE which is nothing to write home about either! Carol Anne, how is your one dog doing with the new food, now that you've slowed him down with eating it?
Like Sandi - the critters are fed and on to the people food (its in the oven awaiting Bubby).SANDI, Thanks for asking - slowing down the eating process has made the difference. Dogs are so darn healthy now that today they caught a squirrel that was trying to cross the deck.
Hey, don't knock our Wisconsin weather (I'm one of those sensitive types - LOL.) Single digit temps today, windchill below zero, tomorrows high 5° and then snow for the next day. Sure makes us appreciate spring!
*JUDYE...yes I have used EmergenC. But when i get your standard run of the mill yucky virus, a day of sleep, lots of fluids usually kicks it. but if it is a cold, i use emergenC, ziacam and l-lysine. that concoction (adding reiki of course) usually kicks it pretty fast.
SHARON* so sorry to hear of your friend. will send comforting light and energy.
its been a much better day here. cold though. 38 for a high. sun was out, that was a plus.
i canceled my client early today and still took it easy. i am ready to head back to work tomorrow! can't stand to sit still too long if i am feeling well.
JUDYE: don't give up on fighting your fight. don't let them push you out, make them pay you. you have been a loyal, hardworking employee for too darned long!!!!
well about time to start dinner....getting hungry. funny. happens about this time every day, lol.
hopefully we will have eggs and cubs soon......love the chatter on here even if i miss seeing the eagles most of the time! the videos are great.
CarolAnne, when does spring arrive in Wisconsin - August?? ;) Janet, I was sorry to hear that you won't be able to raise/keep chickens as you had hoped. Where's that Judy - she should be reporting in soon! We're all rooting for you, Judy!!
SANDI - pretty good guess re:spring Life in Wisconsin: •you have gotten frostbitten and sunburned all in the same week. •you have more miles on your snowblower than your car. •you owe more money on your snowmobile than on your car. •your 4th of July Family Picnic was moved indoors due to frost. •snow tires come standard on all your cars.
Love it CarolAnne... sound like some of our "You know you are A Redneck if..." things
Hello Eagle Pals....hope all are soon in ther roosts and getting cozy and warm...don' t think we have anynighshiftsres here except maybe Diann's Jubby sometimes...and...? and maybe Jewels and I sometimes is if we get switched around on our work shifts
tag lights fixed. Was a plug that got loosened in the wiring harness. THEN the car wouldn't start. The dome light had been left on by mistake...(not by ME !) got a jump start in the car mechanics' lot...
but the deed is done, not too pricey. they put a vehicle identical to mine on the lift, and went from buggy to buggy comparing electrical routes. pretty clever, nice folks
Been home for a bit been on phone with friends talking about the crap at work I was offered a people greeter positions which is a t 2.46 pay cut I have over 280 comments to read and right now I am to upset so I am saying good night all ok they also want me to go get re evaluated to update my files I will call a lawyer and the other store tomorrow ok and I need to call the dr to

If/when I buy 40 or 50 lbs of something like potting soil or dirt, I leave the bag in the back of the Blazer, tear it open, and move it in smaller amounts. Sissy-style, but I am on lifting restrictions also
going to work on some snail mail tonight While waiting on the raptor stamps, I have, Owney the Postal Dog Stamps, Disney Pixar (includes Cars and Ratatouille, and Toy Story) and also US Merchant Marine, and - some Christmas baubles for those Christmas cards I haven't sent YET.
Always take it to Bear's Repair on Winchester Avenue near Wilson, DanaWV ...family-owned and operated, they have just about adopted me, and I, them.... good folks....for sure...
Just a quick hello ! If you see Columbus,OH on WANDA's "As the World Turns", it may be me--not lurking, but trying to catch up with the last 24 hours here. Only a skim and am sure I missed much--my comments are not needed, but did so enjoy the chat and the wonderful time you've had with Belle and Shep !
Did catch the message about Tori's MRI---hoping and praying for good news about that. Adding SHARON's dear friend to the prayer list. That's a tough cancer to fight, but will hope for the best and "God's will be done".
LYNN, did anyone give you the link to the NX article from the Post ? If not, I'll look for it and e-mail.
Had a great day with the 'boys'. Cold, but so sunny Malcolm and I could not stand to stay inside for long. Now I'm pleasantly exhausted.
WVDANA - much yelling, arm flapping, and stomping, but they did finally let it go. Squirrel didn't make any noise to indicate they were hurting it, and it was able to make a quick dash to the tree once released, so I guess all is well that ends well.
BTW Update on my friend Stephen from church. He has undergone his first round of Chemo. and is doing well. He is still able to go to his classes at JPII center. I have also since found out that his lovely wife is pregnant. I am so worried about them, but feel that God has a plan for this young family. Please pray that his treatments are successful and that he continues to be strong and able to continue with his classes.
Back from Dinner and I shopped for and purchased a new coat and a pair of boots just in case the s*/*^*!
Sandi - 175 miles 2 1/2 to 3 hrs.
BTW - I think we'll be looking for a fine for going through the EZ Pass when we don't have one....... Probably $5. Bay bridge has sorta repositioned different lanes for the EZ Pass this year. Toll is now $4 and not the $2.50.
Just thought I would let you all know. I did not think so but decided to ask Steve. So I sent him an email. Asking could the black place on the head of the male eagle be that Avian Pox? A very nice man name Jim that has a PhD and is a Biologist, Career Awareness Branch Division of Education Outreach. Wrote me back saying, "Avian pox is associated with bare skin areas - eyes, mouth and not feathered portions. How does the bare legs and bare face of the bird look?" I wrote him back and told him they look fine.
Oh dear.....I've only just skimmed the thread and found
Eagles with kittens Dogs with squirrels Lynn with a sledge hammer JudyE with a royal pain in the neck Shirley covered in dirt and staggering Cats dragging Lolly to the car dealer Red ruffling feathers
I will do my yoga practice at home tonight...the snow is coming down heavily and I have not heard the snow removal people nor the sand trucks. When I came in a little over an hour ago the hill up to my place was icy...
JudyE---call Worker's Comp and see what you need to do to re-open your claim. DON'T pay for any dr. evaluation out of your pocket. Get an employment/disability lawyer.....start with Legal Aid. And NO, there is NO law dictating job descriptions. Does FL WC accept "Stree" claims??? Some states don't (like WV), but if FL does, file a new claim for that.

Hello Rich, how are you?
Good. How are you? Eagles around here are gathering to nest, no eggs yet, but they are paired and defending territory. Won't be long
I wish I had eagles near me to watch. Grateful to have the ones online though!
Hello Rich
Where is "around here"?
Afternoon, Rich. We watch all the time :) Since 2006, and in person when we can :)
Hello Rich,
Don't believe we have met, though I see you first posted in August. I am Shirley.
Welcome back.
WHAAAAT? ARE WE BEING STALKED?? LOL!!
Good afternoon, Wanda.
I have been watching this nest since 2006 and Liberty was the very first eagle I saw live and in person!
oops, that should have said "roost".. not roast in our tree...
Iowa - that must be the site I can't see clearly on the revolver map.

Me too, Wanda. If I understand correctly, the problem is that she isn't physically strong enough to lift 50 pounds, but I might have missed something.
I know I would not be able to lift 50 pounds.
I'm wondering if the folks on OC know why we have named our new male "SHEP"...short for our sweet little College/Very old town of SHEPHERDSTOWN? Very apropos:)

Okay, Red and CarolAnne both were polite. And they just dissed Red....argh!
Now to finish catching up!
I can lift 50lbs...but wouldn't want to do that everyday!
Back to work...
The bags of salt for water softner is 40 lbs. I have to have help with those. I have trouble lifting 10 lbs. I do it but pay for it later.

Yes, Paula, I agree. The only place I have seen that many eagles was at Conowingo.
Tori Update: CT scan shortly to make sure she isn't bleeding anywhere but her new set of numbers were good
Keep those prayers going!

Lord God I am praying now as they do the CT Scan on Tori. That they DO NOT FIND ANY BLEEDING. I ask you Lord to prepare the way for good results. In Thy Name I Ask This Amen
Oh my goodness, Lynn, what a day you have had. I do hope the assembly of the doggy crate goes better for you.
I have not done much today, but will be going out to play bridge tonight.
this is a link CHECK YOUR RE-LIGHTING OF YOUR CANDLE
My friend Nila is going to the ER. She has a lot of pain and called me crying. Please pray for her!
Got a call from my orthopedic docs office today. My hip surgery is scheduled for Feb 15th.
I didn't mean to stir up trouble on OC. I apologize if I offended anyone there. Shame on me. sniffle sniffle.
Lovely...I have lost my connection to the Jewel cam and can not get it back up.
There is our troublemaker! Yay on the surgery date Red.
So I see that Jewel is at rest again. Did see her doing saw paw chewing for a minute or so......saw that they feel sure that she will probably have two cubs---which they say is normal for first-time moms.
Wow Red - You won't miss Valentines Day
You are still our sweetheart ♥
Great, Red.....not TOO far off. I'll mark my calendar!
Judie...they will do a PET scan one month after treatment ends (Jan. 31). Onc said today that chemo will also end that day!
Great Tori news.
Hope Nila will be okay....what kind of pain?
Home from a long day of state testing and THEN a faculty meeting! Lynn, after the day you've had, you may not be in the right frame of mind to assemble Liesl's new crate. I'm getting that visual again of you with a sledge hammer, like when you were having trouble with the sewing machine!? =)
Judy, I've never even met you and can tell that you must be great at helping/talking with customers - why would management want to mess with an employee who is such an asset in terms of customer service?
Hope Belle and Shep didn't get their nest quota in early in the day and decide to stay away this evening.
OK, I've gotta make dog food so I'll take the laptop into the kitchen while I work; I'll be here but in LM.
Hubby is home - time for dinner
He was in Selbyville today, Sandi at the house.
Checking out the plumber's work ..
BBL
Thanks, MamaJo.
Nila has end-stage colorectal cancer. :*( I hate to even say that on here. ((((HUGS))))
Oh, good, have the Jewel cam back. They must have been having a problem.
Did go see what you said on OC, very well said. Yes, we just need to avoid comments over there. To each his own!
Red, many prayers will be said for your surgery. So, glad it is scheduled!
That last statement was for CarolAnne, I had read your comments earlier, Red. Just our opinions.
Good points, Mema Jo. Thanks for posting.
Guess Ben is a fine name, being named for our ??th president Rich. I don't really know what I said to cause the rucus there. Someone is too touchy.
Yikes...razor blade fell out of my box cutter/scraper--Liesl grabbed it. Thank the Lord she dropped it and I don't see any blood. Geesh!
Well, I at least got the crate out of the box.....now to read the instructions! Looks nice.
WHAT?????????????SHARON????????I READ WHAT YOU POSTED ABOUT NILA YOU DO MEAN OUR NILLA/JANET OR NOT?????????
Yea, let the OC be...not worth it.
Was Ben Franklin one of our Presidents? Well, daggone, wikipedia is down in protest, but I say NO.
Nila not Nilla.
Headed to the kitchen in a few.
Shirley, enjoy your bridge group tonight.
Congrats to Savannah.
BBL
Ben was President of the Executive Council of Pennsylvania. He served as a delegate to the Constitutional Convention and signed the Constitution. One of his last public acts was writing an anti-slavery treatise in 1789.
Benjamin Franklin was one of the Founding Fathers and a genius. He helped create the American system of government. However, he never served as president.
HE WANTED THE TURKEY FO THE NATION SYMBOL INSTEAD OF THE BALD EAGLE.
Sharon who is Nila?
Hurray for Savannah and Derek!
Nila is a dear friend of mine here in Bluefield.
Ooops,Sharon. Sending a prayer for Nila.
Okay, I'm getting really confused.
Ben Franklin? President? Now, if you're talking about Ben Phranclyn, well that's okay.
Oh, Shar.....that is a real shame about Nila. Sorry to hear such sad news. Prayers for her and the family. Wonder why she didn't share that news...:(
Sandi....not sure about sledge hammer time....but instructions are confusing, so it may well be. I may have to call SIL!
Right now I'm not going to mess with it....bending over is not good with heartburn...and I can't kneel, so.......
60 second aftershock in the earlier quake area near Shirley! Did you feel anyhting, kiddo?
Oh, dear, have not walked. Going to do that now.
Where are our eagles?
Hear eagle, eagle, eagle!!!!!
Is there an eagle in the nest?
From Ceil:
New eagle nest closes refuge trail
I think so!
Yes, I called them LOL
Nila has been fighting cancer for about 3 years. Started as rectal cancer, went to her liver and lungs. They did an ablation on the spot on her liver. She went through several different chemotherapies and they stopped all of it about a month ago. Now the pain in her stomach has gotten really bad. She keeps saying she wants to live long enough to see Andrew get married but I am afraid . . .
It was weird, I had the cam up twice, one had an eagle, the other didn't!
I haven't gotten any weird error messages today about our cam
That is Ms Belle
Hello!!!
Finally see an eagle. Isn't she beautiful? Or is that Shep?
Prayers for your friend Nila, Sharon.
Sorry to hear about your friend, Sharon.
Belle was digging around the nestover area, then took off from the 4-5 spot
Did not feel the earthquake, but see that there have been three recently in this area. All in the 2-point something range, though.
Geez, I scared her off. Sorry.
;-(
@SharonI didn't know Sharon I don't see on the prayer list where you have ever ask prayer for her. Maybe I missed it...if so I am sorry. She is now on the prayer list and Lord Sharon I am praying for you as her friend. God Bless this lady Nila and God Bless You Sharon for being there for her.
You did not, Diann. I think she's up in the tree :)
So sorry to hear about Nila. She'll be added to my prayers. Thanks for the info Sharon.
Will never be able to catch up but will read back some more.
Wow, seems I stirred up a hornets nest at OC. Lots of sensitive people there. Guess I better leave them alone. I'm to old to start fighting again.
Sandi, I think you asked earlier....an adult eagle can handle carrying about 4 lbs.
TTFN!
LOLLY, you can get the bear cam at ustream and the bear.org site.
Per FB post---many problems with bear cam on all feeds today. They are hoping it's fixed now.
Jordan Lake says they are also back online but keep trying if you have trouble.....
Rich, those must have been those small male eagles. Bet a 12lb female eagle would have no problem :)
Oh, the poor kitten.
Oh, I do not like to think of eagles getting a kitten. Let's erase that memory. How fantastic, though, Rich that you see so many eagles. I am very very jeaous!
PAULA you have mail
Shirley, I am thinking the kitten was already dead.
Yeah . . . maybe so.
check these photos...it isnt a young one..not 12lbs., but 3 1\2-4 1/2 years old
https://picasaweb.google.com/114825278602229196730/HintonEagle#5581187801269926242
Backatcha MS WV :)
Heading home
Jo....I just saw the baby Ava story on FB---why did you removed your post on here? Has something happened?
Sandi you are ready for a rest after testing and faculty meeting.
Prop your feet up!
Thanks, Paula for the ustream info.
Watch out, one of those pics is little graphic for some folks!
Those looked like pretty good size eagles....was it a kitten or a cat? Looked pretty good size.
And yes, the cat was dead. It's the cycle of life.
Lynn Jo removed her post blue link for Ava. It was an article and the link did not work. So Jo removed it.
Lynn, Jo removed her blue link because it did not work.
Lynn tell us about AVA?
And btw Rich, nice shots
I suspected and did not go to the pictures.
Don't need to see those pictures. I know enough and have seen enough about what Bald Eagles can do and pick up.
Good evening.
JUDYE: don't give up on fighting your fight. don't let them push you out, make them pay you. you have been a loyal, hardworking employee for too darned long!!!!
well about time to start dinner....getting hungry. funny. happens about this time every day, lol.
hopefully we will have eggs and cubs soon......love the chatter on here even if i miss seeing the eagles most of the time! the videos are great.
later, ya'll. *smiles*
CarolAnne, when does spring arrive in Wisconsin - August?? ;)
Janet, I was sorry to hear that you won't be able to raise/keep chickens as you had hoped.
Where's that Judy - she should be reporting in soon! We're all rooting for you, Judy!!
SANDI - pretty good guess re:spring
Life in Wisconsin:
•you have gotten frostbitten and sunburned all in the same week.
•you have more miles on your snowblower than your car.
•you owe more money on your snowmobile than on your car.
•your 4th of July Family Picnic was moved indoors due to frost.
•snow tires come standard on all your cars.
DanaWV, Baby Ava is a baby severely injured in a car wreck in Ocean City a couple of months ago. She remains in Hopkins in critical condition.
SANDI - there's more:
you decided to have a picnic this summer because it fell on a weekend
you define Summer as three months of bad sledding
you’ve taken your kids trickortreating in a blizzard
you define swimming season as Labor Day weekend
the trunk of you car doubles as a deep freezer
driving is better in the winter because the potholes fill in with snow
you have experienced snow storms in April.
you have had school closed due to wind chills and frostbite warnings
@Janet,JudyE,Lolly,Sandi,CarolAnne,Shirley,Judie,Sharon,Wanda,Lyyn and DanaMo PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL
Love it CarolAnne...

Was a plug that got loosened in the wiring harness.
THEN the car wouldn't start.
The dome light had been left on by mistake...(not by ME !)

but the deed is done, not too pricey.
they put a vehicle identical to mine on the lift, and went from buggy to buggy comparing electrical routes.

Always take it to Bear's Repair on Winchester Avenue near Wilson, DanaWV

good folks....for sure...
CarolAnne did the dogs let the squirrel go?
And....their company calendar has an awesome Eagle picture on the July page ☺
Jewels always picks me up and takes me back there on our workdays...
Bless Her Heart !!!
Have a great evening, one and all !
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
WVDANA - much yelling, arm flapping, and stomping, but they did finally let it go. Squirrel didn't make any noise to indicate they were hurting it, and it was able to make a quick dash to the tree once released, so I guess all is well that ends well.
Judy I just answered your email. Please check your mail.
I hope your neck feels better. Know that you are in my prayers! ♥
We're on it, DanaMo....
Hope the Baby-to-be news is a real boost to Stephen's Healing and Recovery...
ttfn xoxo ♥
Lynn sorry your day was rough but pleased you got LIESL's bed.
JUDYE keep your head about you as you deal with work issues. Sorry they are happening, very frustrating.
I see BELLE stopped in for a short while this evening, am I right? I did not get when she left...
I am grateful to Mema Jo for her comment and second it whole heartedly.♥
Snowing here. Autobiography class went well and I will head out to yoga in a little while.
Prayers for TORI...
Prayers for Sharon's friend with colon cancer.
PAULA thank you for your comments and your direction...
I think I will just sit with prayers and that is good...
Back from Dinner and I shopped for and
purchased a new coat and a pair of
boots just in case the s*/*^*!
A very nice man name Jim that has a PhD and is a Biologist, Career Awareness Branch
Division of Education Outreach. Wrote me back saying, "Avian pox is associated with bare skin areas - eyes, mouth and not
feathered portions. How does the bare legs and bare face of the bird look?" I wrote him back and told him they look fine.
He was very nice and I appreciated his input.
Oh dear.....I've only just skimmed the thread and found
Eagles with kittens
Dogs with squirrels
Lynn with a sledge hammer
JudyE with a royal pain in the neck
Shirley covered in dirt and staggering
Cats dragging Lolly to the car dealer
Red ruffling feathers
and some poor oldguyrich in the mix!
What a day!
Welcome Rich!
Prayers for you friend Nila, Sharon.
wow DanaMo, prayers for Steve (and the family in production!)Very glad the first round of chemo has gone well.
Thanks for the link and reminder to re-light my candle.
Crate is assembled! Just have to tighten the screws with the Allen wrench!
Yea, me!
Jo, et al. Criminal Minds and CSI are new tonight. And believe it or not, Idol auditions start tonight!
I will do my yoga practice at home tonight...the snow is coming down heavily and I have not heard the snow removal people nor the sand trucks. When I came in a little over an hour ago the hill up to my place was icy...
I suppose then that the 'spot' will be there for quite some time.
Guess I'll be watching Criminal Minds and another one at 10
BBL
JudyE---call Worker's Comp and see what you need to do to re-open your claim. DON'T pay for any dr. evaluation out of your pocket. Get an employment/disability lawyer.....start with Legal Aid.
And NO, there is NO law dictating job descriptions. Does FL WC accept "Stree" claims??? Some states don't (like WV), but if FL does, file a new claim for that.
