Looks like the colors are fading from the nest I dislike that part of the day but its nice to see it in the moon lite at nite for the past couple of nites

Here's a more exact recipe CarolAnne- Potato Pinwheels are a St. Patrick's Day candy with a surprising ingredient: mashed potatoes! The potatoes make the candy nice and creamy, and the peanut butter filling adds a nice salty touch that keeps them from being too sweet. Yield: about 30 slices Ingredients:
1 medium potato, cooked and peeled (yield: about 2/3 cup mashed potatoes) 1 tsp vanilla extract 6.5 cups sifted powdered sugar 1 cup shredded coconut 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
Preparation:
1. Cut the peeled and cooked potato into eights and place in a stand mixer. Beat until mashed, then blend in vanilla extract. (This can be done by hand using a fork or potato masher if you don’t have a mixer.)
2. Mix in the powdered sugar in batches until thick and incorporated. Add coconut last and mix until well-blended.
3. Form candy into two equal balls and wrap in cling wrap. Refrigerate for an hour to firm up.
4. Spread waxed paper on your counter or table and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Roll the candy, one ball at a time, to form an 8-inch square on the waxed paper. Spread each square with peanut butter, covering the entire surface.
5. Roll the candy into a tight spiral like a jelly roll. Wrap each roll in waxed paper and refrigerate for 2 hours, or until firm enough to cut.
6. Slice the logs into ½ inch slices and serve. To keep the slices fairly round, rotate the log as you cut it so the bottom doesn't get too squished. Store Potato Pinwheels in the refrigerator in an airtight container.

DanaMO - thanks for the recipe. A bit more than I thought, but still doable. Any idea how long they'd keep in the frig. Could I do them this week and still have them for Christmas weekend?

Please pray for a young man from my church who is awaiting a diagnosis. He has been in the hospital with chest pain and they did an MRI or CAT scan (not sure which) and found a mass in his chest. He is only 24 years old and only recently married. His wife worked at our school for a year as the Spanish teacher. They are a very sweet, and holy couple. Very special indeed. He will have his biopsy on Dec. 19 (waiting til then so he can take his finals, he was just discharged from the hospital yesterday) He is studying at the Pope John Paul Center in DC.

Not quite as loud as during rehearsals--either difference in the air, or neighbors asked them to tone it down. By road, it's 2 miles from me!
Just eating din din & Fubby got bored w/the overwhelming Green Bay score. We found beautiful concert by little Jackie Evanko. She sings like an angel. That's an idea for Xmas present. If you want to light up your life, her music will do it!
Going to head in for dinner and see if I can find a Christmas show on tv.
Prayers for Lynn, Linda, Lynne, Diann, Kris, 24 yr old young man wife and family, Jim, any others in our group with health needs or any other needs. Prayers for Gods creatures great and small.
That's ok! I guess they are the tree ornament ones - Upside down means 'I Love You' - at least it did on my old love letters!
It was good to see Megan - she was all bundled up warm - I got a large bag of red berries for Jenny's birds. I got my humongous wreath and by tomorrow it should start smelling so good inside my house.I love my artificial tree but miss the smell of fresh pine. So happy that Megan sold out of everything today. She was taking orders for next Sunday & then after that - she will be free until it's time to go through the seed catalogs.
Dana - prayers for the young man - so sad that he has recently married and is now ready to take his finals. God has a plan for this young man. Praying for successful surgery...
I would fight anyone for that last piece of potato candy! I never have had coconut in it - just good ole' tater - sugar - peanut butter. You can cut the slices any size.. And it a sure thing, Kay that if you hide it & have CRS or let Seth take the tin home after you wrap it in Gorilla tape - you would have some left for Christmas..... Yummy!!
Sorry I missed all the visits today by our Eagles. I love reading comments of those viewing! A person can actually get excited 3 hrs later as you all were when viewing them........
Paula - Glad the party for John was a successful surprise! I'm thinking that the children were not told or else it may not have been a surprise..

Just got of the phone with Angie they are having an issue in the area with coyotes I guess a cat got half eaten and her dog was almost attacked the neighbor said so now they have to worry at its a residential area big time
Back from a good day. We have a bit of snow falling and the roads are still clear. I enjoyed the Choral Section very much...There was an Eastern European section that wore a bit thin and I did not like it as much...
Hi There~ I've been reading your comments about potato candy. Gene and I made potato candy at his house when we first started dating. Couldn't afford movies and dinners, so we made candy:) I was just thinking that coconut would probably be very good in that recipe...use unsweetened coconut. Also, crunchy peanut butter or even cashew butter would be excellent! As I recall, that candy lasts for a very long time. I liked it when it dried up and got hard. Keep in a cookie tin.
I have put the three video on the blog and will be on facebook also just haven't done the last there yet and I am also uploading a video of candy cane lane I think I told you about it I live on 83rd lane and this is also 83rd lane just one block over my road only has maybe 12 houses done I will post it when its done also really pretty
OK, so I have to tell you about John's party. Ajay organized a scavenger hunt...we had a list of about 50 things we had to collect, do, bring back, etc. Some things we had to do we had to take a picture of them...other things we had to find and bring back. Michael, Laura and I were a team...we came in 3rd place! John's team came in first place.
Here's some of the items on the list....
Picture of team member with headstone with the name John on it.
Picture of house with 30 in the address.
Picture of team member sitting with strangers.
Picture of Lincoln.
Bring back a junior whopper wrapper, a 1981 penny, a fortune cookie, candy cane, "it's a boy" item, present for John.
Picture of eternal flame.
Picture of a wild animal.
Picture of team member naked with a bag over their head (yes, 3 people did this, 2 of them were my kids, LOL)
Everything you completed was worth a certain point value, and of course some things were worth a lot more points than others.
We had 2 hours to complete as much as we could and return to the bar, not a minute past 8pm. Then we ate dinner, and danced and drank the rest of the evening. Everyone really had a blast!!
It is want a bite I have one in refreg for tomorrow and pizza left 4 pcs for tomorrow I just forgot the garlic sauce that I bought for a dollar darn it I love dipping the crust in it
You could pick the ones you wanted to do...it was worth it in point value to try and accomplish more of the 5, 10 and 30 point items...some items were just worth 1 or 3 points.
Thanks LYNN. It is still snowing but I do not htink it will last till morning. Do you write your questions down before you go to the appointment tomorrow. Sorry your daughters have to work tomorrow.I have absolute faith that you will be alright and takeit all in and share with us what you have learnt...What time will you leave in the morning?
Had a very nice dinner date with Will tonight as a part of my birthday celebration. Sometimes it is pleasant to sit down with one child and have nice conversation.
I am ready to head upstairs now, Got really drowsy this afternoon, and now I am ready for sleep. See you tomorrow.
I will be leaving at 11:00 for my doc appointment. He will want to review my diabetes and vitamins from my blood work. I have some questions ready also & hope I get good answers.
Lynn - My thoughts and prayers will be with you and I am anxious for you to have all your questions addressed. I'll be waiting to hear any info you wish to share - and will keep offering prayers for you and lighting candles for your healing. Love You
Ready to call it a day here...got the tree up...lights tomorrow night. And yes, I went out and bought new lights...can't remember the condition of last years...so better safe than sorry!
Catch ya'll in the am. Hope your appt goes well, Lynn and Jo.
Paula, you have some pretty fun pictures there. You look so thin! Are you dieting? You look great!
Lynn, prayers for your appointment today that you get the information you need and the news you want... and that you have confidence in the doctor.
Didn't see a goodnight post from Andy. I hope all is okay.
Linda, so glad you get to go home tomorrow. It will be so nice for you to get back to your house and see Dennis and Ramsey, and let your healing really begin.
See all you Early Birds a little later this morning! JudyE, save some of that good pizza for me. I'll be starving!
Good Evening/Morning, Everyone! Getting here very late, so late it's early!
Have been MIA this weekend. We've been pretty busy, and have been babysitting the bulldogs, too. SIL & BIL had to make a Christmas gift delivery in Las Vegas. They will get home late tonight. Golly, their place is a disaster area! They are re-doing their kitchen, and the whole room has been demolished! Floor torn up, cabinets gone, everything ripped out. Terrible time of year to be doing all that! Should look great when finished, but oh, MY!
Boy, it's been cold here--down to around 40 or lower at night, and low 60s daytime. Waiting for rain to start, coming down from Alaska. That should be cold enough to really get our attention!
Adding some folks to the prayer list--DanaMo, hope your young friend will be all right.
Lynn, still praying for you. Will be praying tomorrow morning for your appointment.
Watched "A Christmas Carol" with George C. Scott earlier. Had taped it decades ago! Still a favorite!
Oh, Lynn! Will be praying THIS morning for your appointment! Make that Monday! Sorry--3-hour time difference.
Have said prayers for everyone, and for every creature. (Glad NX is so spunky! Hope she will heal up OK!) Making sure the porch light is lit. Enabling both security systems. Sleep well, everyone. God bless, and goodnight. Love all of you! :o]
Good morning. Wow I hit the hay early last night. Watched a little HGTV and gave up. Thanks for the prayers for my friend. His name is Stephen and his wife is Casey Mae. The doctors preliminary diagnosis is lymphoma or something with his thymus. All prayers welcome. We are also praying a novena to Our Lady of Good Remedy. I had to look it up myself, I had never heard of this novena.
Paula_Your scavenger hunt sounds like so much fun! And the naked pictures OMG!
All is quiet here. I guess the labs all found a nice warm spot upstairs on the bed. Nope there is a black ball on the couch...must be Boomer he is never far from me!

Nice eagle visit - great reporting (with a bit of humor too).
My work day is done! Whew....tired...but will finish Christmas cards so they can go to the PO tomorrow!
Something is making me sneeze like crazy---about 30 times so far! Something in the wood pile, I suspect. So much fungus growth on some of those logs, that I shouldn't be surprised.
got mom and dad hooked on the nest! LOL! Had it on during dinner in lurk mode. Enjoyed the 15 minute visit.
What are we going to do with Miss Belle's big smudge. Geez...
Well with only one window open it finally let me add pictures to the album.
Sneezing Lynn---God Bless You.
I just found the recipe on the internet. Mom and Annemarie are going to make it next weekend, but it will NOT have coconut in it!
@CarolAnneWhat do you mean about the potato candy?
Lori-Sorry if you have answered this already, I haven't been back through all the posts; Did you have success with your photo shoot?
WVDana - my response was to Hedgie after I asked if it would "keep", (stay fresh)for Christmas weekend, if I made it this week. Hedgie said it would probably still be fresh, but had doubts that there would be any left after a week! Cuz it's that good!!!
Semi success, DanaWV. I'm no DanaMo at arranging multi dogs, so I just worked with FloBear...he pretty much slept. I forgot to put the picture on my blog... doing it now. Give me a minute.

QUESTION---anyone know???.......took those stinkin' brussel sprouts out of the meal package---frozen. WHen they sre thawed, would they be an okay snack for Liesl? She loves her green beans!
Lynn, I wouldn't take a chance they would upset her tummy and make her belly bubble with air that has to escape!
BRUSSEL SPROUTS - OK for dogs, though might be a bit gassy. Just like people some like them, some don't.
LYNN I googled it and they say yes good for dogs

Hi There~
I've been reading your comments about potato candy. Gene and I made potato candy at his house when we first started dating. Couldn't afford movies and dinners, so we made candy:)
I was just thinking that coconut would probably be very good in that recipe...use unsweetened coconut. Also, crunchy peanut butter or even cashew butter would be excellent! As I recall, that candy lasts for a very long time. I liked it when it dried up and got hard. Keep in a cookie tin.
Never had cherry cheesecake...sounds scrumptious.
I have put the three video on the blog and will be on facebook also just haven't done the last there yet and I am also uploading a video of candy cane lane I think I told you about it I live on 83rd lane and this is also 83rd lane just one block over my road only has maybe 12 houses done I will post it when its done also really pretty
Tonight long visit by both THREE video 6 min 7 min and 1 min with the fly out of both in the end I love the fly-outs so pretty
I put some pics on my blog.
It is want a bite I have one in refreg for tomorrow and pizza left 4 pcs for tomorrow I just forgot the garlic sauce that I bought for a dollar darn it I love dipping the crust in it
PAULA that sounded like fun How far did you get ??
I don't remember how many we completed, but we came in 3rd place.
Oh, and the scavenger hunt and party was in Gettysburg!
You could pick the ones you wanted to do...it was worth it in point value to try and accomplish more of the 5, 10 and 30 point items...some items were just worth 1 or 3 points.
Gettysburg cool so the pic of Lincoln was easy I guess I have never done anything like that before
OK gonna see how much of the tree I can get up before the Good Wife comes on
The christmas light video from candycane lane is on blog its 4 min long
CandyCaneLane near my house
LOL, Paula---sounds like a very unique and fun party! Bet it was the first time in a VERY long time that you've "seen" your boys naked!!!
I prefer my cheesecake plain, but I can sure do with cherries on top!!! Enjoy, JudyE!
Liesl has gotten her second wind. I think the 24° outside woke her up too much! She's playing ball by herself---what a hoot!
No cheesecake here---so I think I will eat a Berger cookie!
And go look at Paula's pics!

Margy says goodnight, then I say,
Good Morning!
There is a SPLIT coming up...this should be #595.
Going to call it a day and try to get some sleep.
Oh my coffee is especially good this morning. I think I actually slept too much!
Good Morning, DanaMo!
DanaMo, thanks for the info on your friend from Church. What a sad story. Prayers, prayers, prayers, of course!
How are the Flying Labs this morning?
The nest is so clear for this hour, I guess it is the moonlight.
All is quiet here. I guess the labs all found a nice warm spot upstairs on the bed. Nope there is a black ball on the couch...must be Boomer he is never far from me!
I texted my brother last night and he answered me. I'm so happy, maybe things can start to mend.
