Thanks, Jo. Carolyn and Charlie have made it to town w/o any problem. After they got out of their place, it was okay. Hope he makes it back home safely.
Heading for tub, so will say my goodnights. Please everyone---stay safe. NO falls, slips, slides, etc. Prayers for healing and relief and wellness for all, including the 4-legged sweeties.
And, special special prayers for you and Mai, Lynn.
It is a little early for me, but think I am going to head to the shower. I am tired from sitting all day. Down to 16 now and heading to 10 tey say. That is really cold, especially for us and staying cold again tomorrow. Wonder what I will loose outside?
As Lynn noted, I was missing a good part of this day. Busy, busy! Have gotten so far behind on my laundry. Going up and down 2 flights of stairs is making my knee angry! So, I let it go as long as I can. Today was the day that I HAD TO DO IT! Got the Capt. clothes done...mine tomorrow, if the power doesn't go out. I also BAKED, little mini pizzas and Gene made pepperoni rolls. I can hear the rain or sleet falling on the nest, or maybe the cam. Funny isn't it how we can hear sometimes and not others? It is a really screwed up system and needs someone who specializes in installing a cam such as this. But, I do have to say that I am so glad that we have a good, clear picture during the day. Nights are pretty fair, sometimes. When the lighting is very bad, I do believe we could see if Belle is in the bedroom:) That white head and tail is like a beacon in the night:)
It is 32° right now (12:49am) and a light 'something' is falling...nothing drastic. I do hope it stays that way.
Hi, Everyone, I made it home from school. Ended up printing most of what I needed at school. Thank God, the sites I needed to print from weren't blocked at school. MUST get this printer to work properly, though. What a PIA!
Oh, Dana, I am so VERY sorry to hear about Larry! And here we thought he was doing better! That IS quite a shock! Prayers for you, and for Larry's family! BTW, hope you are feeling OK after the slip on the stairs!
Paula, so sorry to hear of Boo's troubles! Hope the vet can figure out a way to get him back to his old self! ((HUGS))!!
Judie, you go, girl! Wow, that's great that your walker got you where you needed to go today! Really relieved that the incision is finally healing properly, too. Prayers for continued healing!
Hope that Shirley gets a really good night's sleep tonight. Boy, she's been busy lately! Hope George is better now, too.
Lynn, I'm glad that Mai was better--hope the new food does the trick!
Well, I need to go veg for a bit, then call it a day. Prayers have been said for all--including pets in need of healing. (Thank you for your prayers and positive thoughts for my friend Danielle! Much appreciated!) Thanks, Judie, for turning on the night light. The porch light is on, too. Enabling the eye-scanner security and Dana's thumbprint-scanner security. Sleep soundly, everyone, and stay snug! God bless, and goodnight. Talk to you tomorrow! Love all of you! :o]
Good morning everyone. Its a snowy scene and next I must figure out how to get out the back or front door. I can open the front as snow drifted away but wind is so much worse that way. I think since its a storm door i can take the bottom screen and window out and climb out to shovel and make a path to nearest tree for Dex. So that will soon be on my next TO Do list. We slept good. So bring on the day :-). Will go pop up the pop up.
GOOD MORNING... Lib and Belle didn't do very much work in the nest this morning. They sat rather quietly and surveyed their sycamore estate, every inch of it:) Just when I thought there was going to be HP, Lib flew off and soon, Belle flew off. It is 34° here, and from what I can see, we have no new snow or ice to contend with this morning. It is going up to 44° and that should make the nest sink about 3 or 4 inches to the nest below:)
Don't you think that, building this new nest has thrown Lib & Belle's desire to get their family started, back a little? I do hope that is the case...the later that egg comes, the better!
OK I shoveled to the tree. Dex is once again on strike. I am frustrated and exhausted and of course concerned as the temps will be going down all day. He thinks we need to go out the front door and across the street. That will be in hours if at all today. I am in fake it mode
and that's exactly what they mean by "You can't teach and old dog new tricks"! Sorry he's being so difficult Glo, but I'm sure the need to relieve will overcome the confusion he is having soon!
Good Morning all! WET WET WET and NO ICE whatsoever, even over night. And while I am glad that there is no ice here, I can't help but be a little frustrated over the fact that babysitting last night was canceled based on the dire ice warnings from the weather people. UGH
Nest empty now but looks dry and comfy. As I remember from previous years we should be seeing an egg within the next week. Of course my memory may be off.
my friend Donna who is still in the Pittsburgh area was listening to a radio station this morning and the guy said he is not sure whether to believe the ground hog, after all Punxy Phil is a Steelers fan......OOOOOO them's fightin' words!
We were very lucky.....just a light coat of ice on trees and melting fast. 33° here.
Restless night....up twice with Mai--1 and 4 and then 7 for good. I am sleepy. She did not start out too well this morning.....I have 3 new wounds. Sould have known it was too good to be true.
Only one newspaper again today...circulation says they'll get them out to me sometime today. And since the ice didn't happen, we will have puppy class this evening----what a yucky mess it will be putting a wet dog in the truck. But she's too heavy to carry.
Just got back from the vets, Boo's blood sugar this morning was 21, even after the late snack...but no seizure this morning. Got some prednisone, which should help. Need to change his dog food as well. So we will see what the test shows, hopefully will have results tomorrow.
Just got the dogs back in...have to change and head into work.
Paula, hope that you are getting some answers from the vet.......if you are home or go back home after the vet......please make sure that you turn off water to your washing machine (if you don't routinely do so). It would be a real mess if Boo pushed the washer to the point where a hose came loose.
I asked for grandson Brandon and his friend "Q" and got twice as much as I asked for ! ☺
Best wishes for a good day everyone. - You, and your pets ! I won't be on much talking, got more housecleaning to do, but will be watching the nest for sure and checking up on how everyone is doing... It's daylight in Oklahoma...be sure to have a look-see xoxox
Yep, Margy, you asked for it and found this one! Denise calls these fellas 'Her Boys" because they have been Brandon's friends for years. They all grew up together and very nicely, I might add;)
Well Dex changed my mind and we braved the wind and headed across the street for coffee and dog treats. There is no traffic so it didn't matter how long it took us to get there and neighbor snow blowed a path from my front yard to his back yard. His front is drifted in like my back door was. Its beautiful but oh my its lots and lots of snow. Good news is Dex loves the word visit and managed to potty once on the way there and once on the way home. So we are sort of good for a few hours. Getting down to business will take days is my guess. He is too short for the snow in yards and never ever goes in a place where folks will be walking. :-( But we are better than last Blog.
Oh dear....911 call for a 3 y.o. who ate 2 mothballs. Abdominal pain........VERY close to station---medic on scene before 2nd call went out. Sure hope the little one will be alright.
Lynn, do you have an option to return Mai to Chesapeak if her problem cannot be put under control? I know you don't want that, but you can only stand that for so long:(
Good Morning - I've been trying to read back before commenting... Won't say much about the new avatars you all have posted except Whoo Hoo to Wanda and BOo Hoo to Lynne -- Just teasing! I hope it has stopped snowing in TX!
Ok Lynn - who ate the mothballs!!! I have 5 little mouths over there by you and I pray one of them didn't think it was a marshmellow!
Good morning! I saw 12 on the themometer this morning. Up to 15 now. Roads are still a mess, accidents everywhere! Now the electric companies are doing blackouts. Jo, I promise not to tell about your indulging in an outrageous dessert! Promise!
Good morning everybody. I am still alive, still having pain in my back but I think it may be secondary to female problems. More will be revealed. Thanks everyone for your love and concern and prayers.
Margy, did you get the OK cam up this morning? Looking at it now. She is keeping the little one under wraps! Can not imagine what the temp is there with it 15 here!
OMG! These two crack me up, they never used to be this way did they? I have been watching now for 3 years and if I didn't know better, I'd say this isn't Lib, but a new guy. Has anyone else had that thought?
there was some speculation early on Donna...they came to the nest and started nestorations much much later than usual...Dec 26 to be exact. They had been in sporadically, and then not at all for weeks...so much so that after the Holidays my husband and I were taking a road trip to S'town to see if they had started a new nest nearby. When the new cam was going up, tree decay and dead branches were seen. Usually if they build a new nest, it's very close to the old one. But they finally returned, And some of the folks here were thinking maybe it was a different male. But the general consensus is that it's Lib. I cannot tell them apart to save my soul. And because they are not banded, there is no ABSOLUTE way of knowing.
Sharon, did you get an apptmt. with your doctor??? Hope that pain is better than it was.
Glo, Mom was luckier----she says only 8" on top of what they had....sun is out there now. Good of your neighbor to open that path for you and Dex to visit.

Oh No, Lolly! Don't tell on me!

Lolly how many inches do you have on the patio............?

I checked FB but no messages from Sharon -Prayers for her comfort
Good Night everyone
Prayers for everyone's needs/wants

Groundhog day may need rescheduling
Do not be concerned, Jo. If Lolly tells, I know a place where she can be hidden -- far far away in a land of snow.
MT nest
Ha Ha I saw your post too, Jo.
Fed Boo a snack, hopefully he will be OK in the am.
Lots of rain here...
Night nite
Hugs to all ♥
As Lynn noted, I was missing a good part of this day.

What?
No eagles this morning yet?
Any eagle fans?
Good morning to you!
Still no Belle or Lib yet.
Eagle in the nest
ANd here's Belle- both in nest!
Now I see the two! Beautiful sight..those two.
What a nest! It's all cushy and soft and dry!
Well its popped and I see 2 eagles. :-)
Yes, we dodged the worst of the storm here, so the nest is just soggy. Temps stayed above freezing all night, so we got a lot of heavy rain.
Hang in there, Glo.
Night light just shut off, really changed the cam pic.
We have 55 degrees and a winter advisory just flashed off. I will have to check that out.
Both still on nest. : )
Have a very nice day.
Oh. The color just came on the cam. I can see the pretty green sprigs.
Enjoy your day. If it seem unpleasant, fake it! lol
♥
that is, if it seems unpleasant...
Both eagles still there, just sitting in nest together.
Well, there goes Lib, I think.
And there goes Belle, mt nest now.

Hi Lynne1, like my new avatar?
Nest empty now but looks dry and comfy. As I remember from previous years we should be seeing an egg within the next week. Of course my memory may be off.
one year ago today was the first egg last year....
Lynne 2, I'll have to change my settings, I don't see avitars today. I know I need to change mine....................
oh darn! It's on my FB now too!!! I'm all ready for the big game!
Love the avitar. Did you post it on Facebook? I haven't checked in there today.
:))) Steeler mania all over the place here, as you can imagine.
Between the weather and the Steelers, all other news gets a back page
my friend Donna who is still in the Pittsburgh area was listening to a radio station this morning and the guy said he is not sure whether to believe the ground hog, after all Punxy Phil is a Steelers fan......OOOOOO them's fightin' words!

no fun for dogs OR people when you can't "go !"
I could hear a vehicle near the nest, probably a farm truck:) Heard the rain falling on the nest last night. Most days, I hear nothing:(
Nice view to start my puter day! Both in nest!!
Caught up with you all. Only Lib there now.
We were very lucky.....just a light coat of ice on trees and melting fast. 33° here.

Oh, and FWS site is down.
Lynn, what kind of precipitation did you get up your way?
Not much here:)
Paula, hope that you are getting some answers from the vet.......if you are home or go back home after the vet......please make sure that you turn off water to your washing machine (if you don't routinely do so). It would be a real mess if Boo pushed the washer to the point where a hose came loose.
PAULA------see you are here....read back before you leave!!!
Wanda, as I said, just a light coating on the trees.
I see that you had a light layer of icing, Lynn. We have none here, now...so now problem going in to
GG's.
oh geez Paula. What is the reason for the pred? What kind of food are they having you switch him to?
and Lynn....so sorry about Mai this morning. Darn.
Okay Paula...hoping and praying that the treatments work...wish you could stay home today
Wanda Wanda Wanda...what are you doing to me !
What a neat avatar ! ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺
Hope George is doing better this morning...we could use some good pet news.
oh my goodness and two in the nest again !

Wow Wanda....uh, who are these men?? LOL!

Lynn....don't despair...please...where there was one good day, there can be more...

Good morning.
Bell just rang and students are arriving.
George seems okay. Talked to vet. Still keeping him in the laundry room. Vet wants to see him if he's not better.
Paula, I hope Boo has a good day, and, Lynn, I hope Mai has a good day.
Supposed to be warm here by afternoon.
Sorry I can't read back more.
BBL.
Oh-oh.....fog is rolling in here heavily.
No fog here, yet...none at the nest, yet, either. I love what the fog does to the trees when the temps are below freezing!
I know you don't want that, but you can only stand that for so long:(
Syrup of Ipecac should do the trick..pray that it does!
My niece ate a whole bottle of baby asprin and had her tummy pumped out...that was awful. Three people had to hold her down.
eagle back
both gone again.
Yes, Wanda, I can send her back.....but praying that it doesn't come to t hat. But I sure can't tolerate her the way things are now.
Praying with you Lynn♥
Good Morning - I've been trying to read back before commenting...
Won't say much about the new avatars you all have posted except Whoo Hoo to Wanda and BOo Hoo to Lynne -- Just teasing! I hope it has stopped snowing in TX!
Ok Lynn - who ate the mothballs!!!
I have 5 little mouths over there by you and I pray one of them didn't think it was a marshmellow!
Eagle back
They are restless this am
I am so glad that I am not in Chicago today. I posted a picture of what it looks like there right now.
sounded like the call was near the main fire departmment station Jo...
responders from there were on scene very quickly
looks like Hallowe'en or Autumn decorations in our nest !
well, I guess that includes the eagle right now...good decoration for any season
Good morning! I saw 12 on the themometer this morning. Up to 15 now. Roads are still a mess, accidents everywhere! Now the electric companies are doing blackouts. Laurel got a call and was told they would have a 30 min black out sometime today. Do not know if we will have a black out or not but understand it is the whole state.
Concerned about the Rio Grande Valley. The front is reaching them today and going down to 24. That means the vegetable crops and the citrus will be hurt. Sad!
I am happy to see the nest looking good.
Thanks Margy.... I do worry sometimes. Hard to keep your eyes on all 5 at any one time and Kids will be kids.
I wonder where Lolly is this morning.
Lynn, glad that your puppy class will be tonight. Maybe put booties on those 4 paws!!!
Whoops - there's Lolly!
rescue squad used to be able to carry and administer the syrup of ipecac...
but then, the thinking was that whatever the pt took, might render them unable to manage their airway, throwing up - if it was something that would make them unresponsive...could lead to choking - because the action of ipecac took awhile to kick in

and eagle back again....boy you aren't kiddin' Jo, they ARE restless this morning!
maybe today is "THE" day! We could name the egg Phil, in honor of Punxsutawney Phil !
I'll say one thing...the Packers and the Steelers sure must feel at home in the current Dallas weather!
No word from Sharon yet this morning here or on FB....
Lynne - what did the old groundhog
predict - I haven't read my news yet?
Lynne - do they ever give dogs insulin for low sugar?
Jo, did you notice the NAME on my jersey avatar!
Thanks for the Sharon report... No news is sometimes Not good news. I pray the pain has gone from her body!
You're right about the super bowl teams feeling at home in the weather Deep in the Heart of TX....
Early Spring....no shadow seen!
they do use insulin in dogs and cats who are diabetic...but that's to control HIGH blood sugar. I'm very concerned about Boo...
Yes and I spent 3 minutes trying to pronounce it LOL
I got the first part right!
I have made myself a relative of Troy Polomalu!
Lynne - was it

I'm going to do a little more research on low blood sugar in dogs. It's very unusual.
You are something else, Lynne.
I do love you avatar!

Eagles at Norfolk Botanical Garden
*Whew* The Eagle Cam is back up! They're not currently in the nest, but stay tuned...you never know when the 1st egg will appear! :)
whew that tree at NBG is SWAYING!!! Glad they are back up!
Jo, mothball eater was in downtown Mtsbg. A block from main fire station.
Have read back on the blog. I am a little concerned....I do believe Judie threatened me last night. With all her connections to the law, I may be a goner. Yikes!
Jo, I promise not to tell about your indulging in an outrageous dessert! Promise!
Ohhh, two beautiful eagles.
Working on the egg cup.
Interesting Groundhog Facts
Good morning everybody. I am still alive, still having pain in my back but I think it may be secondary to female problems. More will be revealed. Thanks everyone for your love and concern and prayers.
Thanks Sharon.....We need to hear from you....
hope you are staying home and just watching the eagles and other things...
Love You ! xoxo
I heard eagle speak!

Hope Liberty and Belle remain so as well !

Margy, did you get the OK cam up this morning? Looking at it now. She is keeping the little one under wraps! Can not imagine what the temp is there with it 15 here!
OK, these eagle need to stop lollygagging around and get to some egg laying.
Yes, one wonders why anyone has mothballs lying around when there is a two year old in the house. Good grief! Think folks, think!!
close up of what I believe is the male laying in the nest at NBG
Careful there Lynne, how you use the word lollygagging.☺
Well here you are Sharon and I am over on FB looking for you!!! I hope the pain just goes away! loL
It is 65° at the cam in NBG
I wonder how warm it is in NC
am sure Suzan will let us know.
Glo Glad you had a safe and productive trip over to the neighbors!
Good for Dex........
Two poofed...and from the middle of the nest. What gives?
OH! well, don't take that personally Lolly! We all know you are NOT a lollygagger for sure!
they are very antsy today...wonder what's really going on?
I am off to eat some breakfast. Cold cereal I guess it is. My chef failed me this morning.

Good Morning All!! Nice day today, better than yesterday with the crazy weather we had. Hope all is well with everyone.
Today might be the day, with the way Lib and Belle have been behaving. I'm even beginning to wonder if there might be an egg at NBG today as well.
HILARIOUS fight over a stick!!!!
OMG! These two crack me up, they never used to be this way did they? I have been watching now for 3 years and if I didn't know better, I'd say this isn't Lib, but a new guy. Has anyone else had that thought?
oh my another tiff.....they are full of it today!

NEW THREAD!!!!
***************
there was some speculation early on Donna...they came to the nest and started nestorations much much later than usual...Dec 26 to be exact.
Sorry to worry you, Jo-----just remember that there is NO WAY that medics can get to Prov. Church in 2 mins!!!
