I told my grandson (Brandon) last night, about having he and his friends as my avatar and some of your comments...he was embarrassed. He did say that he thought the lady with the HEATED birdbath had the best to offer;) And, the group of them might clear all of the ice and snow from the property of the lady in Texas, if she could help them get to the Super Bowl:) Kidding...
Back for a sec. Daughter just called~~she turned in rental car & got shuttled to Reagan. Her plane leaves around 1 PM. What's ironic is that her hubby had to go to Baltimore for the weekend & guess he will go home Sunday! So, we probably won't see him. Everyone passing on the airwaves!!(She thought up a wild field trip for both of us to fly & meet in another city. Don't know if it will come to pass, but is Top Secret now.) Was supposed to go to work to make up for yesterday---would like to see a little sun first!
You can tell Hope is in front because of those big ears! I love to see the little hands and feet just flailing around. So cute.
I know I have 5 to 8 tubes of lip balm around but can not find a one. My daughter, bless her heart, heard me complaining and brought me Neosporin Lip Health. It is pretty darn good. Just thought I would pass that on.
Last night my daughter picked up my new computer. 17 inch screen and room for lots of cams. Going to use my other laptop for cams too. I will probaably spend my dau refreshing all the cams!
It is like a fine mist outside here in the valley making for wet cats out on the deck...... They don't smell like wet dogs. Wonder why?
Loweeeeeeeeeda - you have a secret!!!
My gd and gsil are leaving for his brother's wedding on the beach in Puerto Rico. They are able to stay 10 days at the private family home of brother's bride to be. So airfare was a decent price and they loved HI honeymoon. Lucky kids!
Oh, someone sounds mad, now....and a bit of movement but can't tell who is what or what is who!
Shirley, forgot to say last night that I applaud you for standing your ground about the chinchillas. It is YOUR house, and YOUR rules!!!! Don't know how you are dealing with the strain you are under.
Ho, ho----cub hanging onto Hope's head for dear life....she didn't like that one bit!!! Shoook it off----maybe it was tryin g to suckle her face. LOL---now SHE wants a teat!

I would hate to see any little critters in the situation those little chinchillas seem to be in.
Chinchillas require special care. Susan seems to be well versed in what they need.
But Kathryn and I both have as much as we can handle already.
Yes, I have made some adjustments. I had gotten used to coming home and relaxing. Now I come home to dogs needing attention and people needing dinner. Kathryn can do the cooking, but I try to take care of things, too.
Kathryn's job and the necessity to pick Hunter up from the sitter's means that I usually get home first. If things aren't underway quickly, the dinner is mighty late and everyone is tired. Hunter needs help with homework and needs to go to bed at a reasonable time.
Kathryn and Hunter are off on errands today. I guess they will bring the chinchillas here at some point.
Shirley, I imagine it has been quite an adjustment. I do think you are all handling it quite well. Families are so wonderful, but sometimes you have a tendancy to take out frustration on family. Keep up the good work!
I think that den of bears looks so snuggly. Hard to tell who is who unless you have been watching for a while.
Ready to head out. Have a friend who is a nurse. She went prepared and spent the night at the hospital Thursday night. She did drive home last night, arriving at 8:30. She said it was white knuckles all the way home. Her hubby was happy to have her home.
Thank you so much for all your prayers, hugs and kind words.
It's been a tough day. I'm at home...knew that I couldn't function at work. Have talked to my kids, and been giving Nugz some extra attention.
I'll be lurking...I was trying to video earlier and ran out of space, so I am trying to clean up my computer. I bought an external drive to copy pictures and video onto, but I haven't had time to hook it up and use it.
Paula, glad you made it back with us. Try to keep busy, or you and Nugz take a nice nap---good day for that. Thinking of doing the same here....but waiting for SIL to come carry in softener salt and to fill corn feeder......only been waiting for 2 days.....:(
She went down into the bowl and arranged some fluff, then out of the egg cup, looking around a bit and took off to the left. Hopefully the nest will dry out tomorrow. We are certainly close to egg laying time.
Lynne---robins are a good omen.....along with Punxatawny Phil's forecast, maybe spring really will arrive early......can I place an order for next week??
by then, I'll bet the little crocus plants will be popping up out of the ground
REALLY...can anyone hear that? It's 4 short sounds in a row, every so often, not any really pattern to how often. Eagle cam is the only one I have sound on at the moment.
We are back from errands and would you believe it is up to 50 here. Hurrah! Snow is melting fast, it is a wet wet world out there. In shady areas on the country roads there is still icy slushy mess but in sunny areas it is nice and dry.
Pipe was frozen at church but eventually the water ran fine.
Lynne, I have had situations where I have CLOSED a page that had sound and the sound doesn't stop!! Were you listening to anyhting else? 22 days,eh? I can look forward to that!!! LOL....I am counting down the number of work days that Suz has left before her planned retirement date....Mon. will be 242!
Well, it will be wet but not a marsh. We have been too dry to be a marsh.
I have a funny Jacob story! Laurel was just at the grocery store. She called it hell. Every line was long long long. She had Jacob with her. She told him "After this, when I get home I am going to need a glass of wine" and Jacob replied "And I am going to need a lot of water."

Sorry about that spelling.
Suzan, I think you just got too excited about all that HP. And, I am with all of you...I think it took!
I was on the phone talking with Laurel while watching the HP.
The new info that Steve gave us a link to was not informative to me...I must have not found what some of you read and were pleased with. Come on...someone, give it up!
Missed this last visit and HP.
I hit the share to see all the share options. When I closed it took me out of the cam.
Suzan, we pay no attention to spelling, unless it is something VERY funny...then, look out:)
Well, I was going to say "I Yink it Yook too."
I told my grandson (Brandon) last night, about having he and his friends as my avatar and some of your comments...he was embarrassed.

LOL
I tried the share button too, but have not figured out how to get back to the cam. It throws you out! Yikes!
Well, Lolly, it looks like you win the bird bath cleaning!
roflmbo, Wanda! Poor boy, bet he was embarrassed. Silly comments from these old ladies!
Maybe if you actually use the Share feature...it won't kick you out. Just a thought.
I see bear faces and paws.
I don't have the heated bird bath. Think that was Glo. I can not afford the Super Bowl tickets, but hey, I could give them free room and board. ☺
Sooner has an eagle perched. Looks like the snow is melting at SQ

I got lost!! See what happens when I try to get some chores done?
Jack and I just saw a different bird at the feeder. We are trying to identify it....heard the eagles from across the room. Yea! I love sound!
OMG, Lily just got popped in the nose by a little front paw! Those feet are so much bigger!!!!
Finally got the OK cams up. Love the sunshine on that nest!

Can't stop thinking of Paula and hope she is doing ok. This is a hard time.
MT nest.
And MT nest again. Sure does not look as pretty as it did a couple of days ago!
Couldn't get through one blog without a misspelling and I thought I proofread.

Beautiful sight of eagle at Hornby.
Going to fix something to eat.
My thoughts turn to Paula - don't know if she had to go into work or not.
Then there is a lonesome Nugz who is going to need a lot of lovin'.
Loweeeeeeeda - I think Frank isn't even in on your secret yet! Right?

I am breaking for lunch.

Have identified our visitor as a goldfinch in winter coloring. Have several here and they have been chowing down.
Washed my hair today, need to go do my do!

It's alllllll good Suzan. If I had two computers going, I'd never leave the house. Hahaha
You're stuttering, Jo!☺
Cool, Suzan....what kind of puter did you get?
Those cubs are noisy---nursing, I guess....but don't see any movement.

Oh, Kathryn did not want to keep any chinchillas here, either, Lynn. Susan is prepared to come get them if someone else does not.
But thanks for the kind words.
Having trouble typing. George wants attention.
Lynn. Lots of activity in the den today. Great cubbie shots.
I would hate to see any little critters in the situation those little chinchillas seem to be in.
Chinchillas require special care. Susan seems to be well versed in what they need.

Kathryn is usually the homework helper. That is fine with me.
I am hearing cub purring.
Had to reboot------everything froze up......grrrr.
Goodness, those bears are noisy. Finally had to turn down the volume.
Shirley, I imagine it has been quite an adjustment. I do think you are all handling it quite well. Families are so wonderful, but sometimes you have a tendancy to take out frustration on family. Keep up the good work!

Empty nest Going to run some errands. BBL
Eagle alert!
Eagle back!
And gone!
Hi Everyone.
Lib in the nest. Brought some fluff. Off he went to the left.
Hi Paula ▼
He sure didn't stay long. Not sure where to find dry fluff today, it's really drizzly out there. Damp and chilly.
But didn't stay long!
Thank you so much for all your prayers, hugs and kind words.
It's been a tough day. I'm at home...knew that I couldn't function at work. Have talked to my kids, and been giving Nugz some extra attention.

Lib back
and back again.....
Lights are flickering........if I disappear, you'll know why!!!!
Lib flew out, empty nest
Paula, glad you made it back with us. Try to keep busy, or you and Nugz take a nice nap---good day for that.
Thinking of doing the same here....but waiting for SIL to come carry in softener salt and to fill corn feeder......only been waiting for 2 days.....:(
Well, Good! Lynn stutters also!
They really need to build up the egg cup like it was a day ago.
Hi Paula! Glad you are home with Nugz!
I'll be sending you positive thoughts for as long as you need them! ♥
Lib just brought Belle in another fish :)
Sometimes I can hear her tearing at the fish. Sound is definitely better.
I wish they had some dry fluff from somewhere.
You're right Lynn - good afternoon for a nap!

GooD MoRNinG,

I guess I was expecting Belle to be on the first egg this A.M. ... She never listens to people, but somehow she always gets it done every year anyway.
C(°?°)3 Jim
She went down into the bowl and arranged some fluff, then out of the egg cup, looking around a bit and took off to the left. Hopefully the nest will dry out tomorrow. We are certainly close to egg laying time.
Hey Paula Glad to see you on just for a bit. I am glad you are home with Nugz. You two will be good for each other this weekend.
Hi all!
(((HUGS))) Paula.
heard, then saw 2 robins when I was out filling my feeder a little while ago! Of course, camera in the house...
Both in nest!!!
I told you I think Phoebe is a new bird this season... Well, the little ones seem to be developing faster too.
One at least is trying his wings as though he's ready for that first flight already.
C(°?°)3 Jim
Jo, missed it----when did I stutter?
Lib brought more food. I wonder if there is a correlation between how much food she consumes and egg production?
Oh, I see it now!! LOL! And that was a long one!
They sure seem kind of antsy, don't they? In-out-in-out......
Lynne---robins are a good omen.....along with Punxatawny Phil's forecast, maybe spring really will arrive early......can I place an order for next week??
uh, what the heck is that sound?
anyone else hear that?
Lynn, hmmmm....next week, not so much. Looks like right now they are concerned about another "winter event" around Thursday.
But remember....METEOROLOGICAL SPRING is in 22 days!! March 1 marks the day when the 3 coldest months of the year are behind us!
by then, I'll bet the little crocus plants will be popping up out of the ground
REALLY...can anyone hear that? It's 4 short sounds in a row, every so often, not any really pattern to how often. Eagle cam is the only one I have sound on at the moment.
OK, sound muted on cam, still hearing noise. Very strange.....
I see no eagles in the nest. boo hiss
It is frizzling here.....drizzle, but freezing on the trees....they are getting heavier and drooping lower.
Lolly, send those temps here, please!!!
Still waiting for Charlie.....Mai is asleep. I am heading for the sofa. BBL.
Lynn - At 12:57pm you stuttered!
I bet when you are all comfy on the sofa your sil will be knocking on your door.
Lolly - with melting snow will you have a marsh land for awhile?
Finally got NC cam open!!
Phone woke me. No doorbell yet, Jo.
Jacob is one wise little guy! I thought he would have said 'soda' or at least chocolate milk - Water is great!
I am ready to head out the door for Mass. I have a list of prayers.
You all should feel better when I
return. Promise!
BBL
Eagle!
EAGLE ALERT
2 eagles!
2 EAGLE ALERT
Bell is acting like she might settle in the egg cup.
Nope, wrong again.
They only brought in 1 little puny branch.
I am out the door - all yours Lolly
Well, they are doing nothing. Just standing there looking around. Come on...let's have action!
Very wet eagle at NBG. Shouldn't they be having the second egg soon?
Our eagles look like statues...guarding the nest. They are so still I had to check to make sure the cam had not frozen up.
Belle is now digging in the egg cup.
HP!
Belle invited that! Saw her spread her wings before he hopped up.
Lib poofed!
Contemplating.....to roost or not to roost; that is the question. LOL!
And Lib departs in a flash.
I'm inclined to think that was a TAKE on the HP. Lib is on his game today.
Wish Belle would just wiggle waggle down into that egg cup.
How old are the chicks at Lake Jordan? They sure are active.
Don't forget to look at my blog. Amazing photo from Burdr on FB.
Belle has got to be ready to pop.
I think Belle is trying to get that cup to her liking.
Sje is really working on the cup but uh oh, has wondered away. Ah, come on, Belle!
Thinking Belle is finding nest overs for a snack.
NBG got up a few minutes ago. Still only one egg.
She just needs a little snack. Nothing like nestovers. Ha
I think the Jordan Lake eagles hatched on the 13th? Does that seem right?
Momma finally came back at Jordan. Chicks were alone for a while.
Hmmmmmm. This action looks serious.
Thanks Suzan.
NBG egg hatched by the 13th. It could have been on the 12th. The second on hatched on the 15th.
It is time for another egg at NBG. It has been 2 days since the first egg.
Nuts!
The Jordon Lake chicks were on the 13th and 15th.
Sorry 'bout that.
Your welcome.
BEagle, do you mean NC?
Does anyone have a date on the NBG egg?
See that you corrected that! LOL
Oh boy. Jordan momma brought dinner!
Feb 3, in the afternoon.
Yes. NC (Jordon Lake) is what I meant.
Yes. Jordan Lake is NC
When did NBG lay that egg?
Really rough weather at NBG.
NBG had the egg Feb 3.
Thanks Lolly.
I think there is serious contemplation going on.
Around 2:15 in the afternoon. There are pictures below the cam. You have to click on "Eagle lays first egg"
Jack is going out....think I will too.
BBIALW
Belle is looking like egg:30. Wishful thinking, I know, but I'm going with it.
Back! They say a watched pot never boils. Maybe a watched eagle never lays an egg. ☺
Charlie just left----have my papers and mail, salt in and corn in feeder..and it is sleeting like CRAZY!!!!
Now to fix some chicken and dumplings!
THUNDER sleet!!!!!!!!! ARGH!!!
Yum, I will be right over.
Night light just came on!
REALLY BELLE, HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO PUSH OUT AN EGG?????
There is no color at the NGB. I guess the storm took care of that.
♫ Rock-a-bye eagle..in the tree top. ♫
Now, don't yell at her Lynne. You will really stop her up! LOL
My thoughts exactly Lynne2
I was thinking it is just really getting dark at NBG.
LOL! Sorry, but REALLY....this is exasperating!
Yes, it is! But, everything in HIS time. ☺
Pouring at NBG. Look at the cam.
LOL Shirley...Belle has been there for ages, making us grow old watching her do nothing.
wow eagle there is off the egg...
Egg in view at NBG
she flew into the tree
The NBG eagle just flew off the nest onto a branch. The egg looks a little lonely.
flew away! egg all alone in the weather!
ours is semi mantling over the egg cup
Back now.
Ahhhh, Belle is tenting. She must plan on spending the night.
NBG eagle back on nest
Belle is sitting!
Oh, glad she is back at NBG. I bet they did a switch. They said earlier that he was on the nest.
TENTING....I knew there was a correct word for it
I hear something. Guess the sleet has started at the nest.
too dark and blurry for me to tell which is on NBG, but I CAN tell the difference now!
