I need to try to figure out how to print my research homework. Guess I'll have to bite the bullet and contact Epson. Grrrrr. Better go now--will be back later tonight!
Sorry to hear about your friend, Andy. Prayers for sure. She must be very young to have a 3 y.o. :( Good luck with your printing....my Epson will absolutely NOT recognize printing multiple copies---no matter what, it only does one at a time. Big pain to have to re-order a print when I have multiples to do.
Hi all. Guess I will turn on live feed. Storm is snowing and blowing like crazy here and Dex is on potty strike :-( argh, I hope I can get some cooperation soon as each time we go out it is worse andI have to shovel us out the door and down the steps. He wants to go way out back and I just can't walk/shovel that far. Could be a power struggle. Think we are both losing right now. I am pretty sure I won't be up for any egg watch for tonight. I hope that is not in their plan but we do know the time is approaching. Be warm and safe.
Andy I am sorry to read of the downturn in Danielle's situation...and will pray as you have asked... hoping that the treatment will knock the Cancer out....and allow her to resume her life's activities quickly
and Glo, am sorry to read of the stormy weather and Dex's potty strike...not such a wonderful way to finish out your birthday...but I hope there are some hidden miracles within the situation

Office Max folks told me how to get the computer to do the cleaning of the printing heads, pretty cool, because the recycled cartridges were not performing too well, think all is fixed up now... I have a really nice whiz-bang printer in storage...hoping to get that hooked up one of these days, I think it does everything, maybe even clean house !
Jo, I use IE8 on my laptop. On my desktop I used FF but since I've moved have not set that computer backup. As long it will refresh and come back on i will survive. Just heard geese flying over the nest. Yay for sound.

Margy recyle printer cartridges are not the best to use. They stop up the holes in the printer. My friend was using them and had a problem with the printer. They tried cleaning and finally she had to buy a new printer and the tech told her to stop using recyle cartridges.
Andy So sorry for your lady friend will send prayers up right away and but her on the prayer chain. Sad it has returned and she has to go through this. May GOD change this for her and send that cancer to never return again.
Glo I have the same problems with little man for #2. I did have to shovel a long path and a circle. I continue to keep cleaned out. What a struggle it is. Sorry you too are going through this.
Never thought Jo would be so straight forward to tell us she has a HP printer. You go girl!
Sharon, really sending wishes for a diagnosis and and quick cure. Good decision about meds.
Andy, sending positive thoughts for your classmate and hope the treatments work for her.
Bearlets have been squealing for ages. Finally, the sweet hum of nursing and no squealing. Well, typed too soon. Very fussy.
Glo, prayer you and Dex make it through this storm without too much trouble. Chicago is getting lots of weather time on news here. Stay safe and warm.
Another milestone today. Decided to use the walker to get from the car to class. It was slow and a little painful but I MADE IT without the wheelchair. Had to take a pain pill when I got home but it was worth it. The infected incision seems to finally be healing.

Judie Yes its interesting to hear major networks take on the storm and Chicago. They are actually in the lowest snow amounts. But still going to get plenty of snow thinking maybe 10 inches or so there. We are expecting 15 to 20 with a chance for thunder snow and much more if that happens. Its worse south of me by 5 inches or so though. We are in the middle of the state and middle of the storm. Hello everyone! Haven't had much of a chance to scan through the blog lately. Was just wondering what the weather forcast is over the next couple of days at the nest site. Here in Missouri, HORRIBLE! We are under a BLIZZARD warning here! I cannot recall ever being under a blizzard warning. Jumped on a little while ago and was relieved to see no eggs yet, although they will surely come any day now. Hoping for NO repeat of last year.
Glo, I'm confused......you said you are in the middle of the state.....I thought Rock Island was up in the NW corner on the border with Iowa.......?????????
Hedgie We are in the middle of the storm predictions for the state. It isn't quite as bad north of us and worse south of us. Yes we are in the northwest part of the state.
I JUST GOT THE SHOCK OF MY LIFE. I JUST OPENED MY EMAIL AND FROM MY FRIEND BARBARA--LARRY IS THE ONE THAT WAS IN CCU AND I JUST TOLD YOU ALL YESTERDAY THEY TOOK HIM OFF LIFESUPPORT AND THINGS WERE DOING WELL.
THE EMAIL SAID "THANKS FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT, PRAYERS, AND TELL EVERYONE THANK YOU. THEY JUST CALLED ME AND TOLD ME AT 1am THAT LARRY PASSED AWAY. I AM IN SHOCK!!
Poor eagle at Sequoyah, OK is sitting in a nest of snow. Her eggs are due to hatch this week. I peeked in earlier today and the nest was swaying in the wind. At least it is not doing that now. Poor eagle! Breaks my heart.
Hi Lolly. The kids are great! The twins started walking a few months ago, and now they are into EVERYTHING! Little Keagan is now 5 months and growing like a weed. My wife just got back from Cancun. I had a surprise trip planned for her, since she didn't get to last April due to the fact that we found out rather shockingly that she was pregnant with our last child. All her sisters and a few friends went for a girls vacation. They had a ball, and she really deserved it! I was getting a little worried about their flight home yesterday afternoon with all this weather moving in, but they made it just fine.
Wow, TJ! That is just fantastic that she got that trip! Man, bet it is hard to come back from Cancun to this weather. I am in TX and we are covered in ice and a wee bit of snow.
Dana, so sorry about Larry. Prayers for Barbara and rest of the family.
TJ---I was just thinking about you yesterday......good to hear that all is well with you, wife and kids! Great trip you arranged for her!! I'm sure she loved it but probably missed you all terribly. Good that she got home when she did. Hope you are well prepared for the storm. Do you have a generator? Wood stove? Stay safe!!! And pop in more often!!
Yes Hedgie, we do have a generator, but hopefully won't have to use it. We did not get as much ice as they thought. They were forcasting up to an inch, but we got 1/4 inch tops. The power lines seem to be holding up good. Probably have 12" to 15" of snow right now, and it's still snowing. They are even calling for thunder snow!
Hi TJ - seems like a long time since we've heard from you! Great that you gave the Mrs a Girl's vacation. I feel that you and the children missed her! I laughed when you said 'Thunder Snow' Finally a name for it as some of our areas had thunder before the snow. Take care and bolt the doors so the twins stay inside! TJ - do you have all boys?
TJ, Mom (NW of St. L) isn't real good at estimating snowfall amounts. At noon said she thought 3-4" on top of what was already there.....calling for 22". Praying that power holds for all of you.
Pssst....shhhh....24+ hours into a different brand of puppy food, and I have to say that Mai has been at least 50% better today. Hmmm??? Or maybe God had time to work on taking some of the devil out of her. Please keep fingers crossed that it lasts and continues to improve!!
Almost time for Jeopardy, and then Tues. line-up! Heading for sofa for awhile.
Thank you Lolly - something to look forward to tomorrow at first Oklahoma light
If I can eke out a little from tax refund, I think it is time to go for more computer memory here, should speed things up on the Live Feed for me, I hope, and half a dozen other things at least
Anyone heard of the term "Halfteimer's?" That's when you are halfway to CRS
Thanks, Wanda! Was just getting ready to send out a Blond Alert for you!! How is the Capt? remember you mentioned he wasn't feeling well last week....and shame on me, I forgot to ask about him. Sorry.
Yes Mema Jo, all boys. Kyle will be turning 5 in a few weeks, Kaelan turned 3 a few months age, Kale and Kaden, the twins, are about 15 months, and Keagan is 5 months. They keep me on my toes. It's great fun though! My wife and I have said that if it were not so financially taxing, we would have more. However, that WILL NOT BE HAPPENING!
TJ - My gd has 5 but it's 2 boys - 1 girl- and then another 2 boys! Little Sophia has help on both ends! You and your wife have an active house but it sure is worth it! Glad you cam back to see us!
Hello Wanda and very good news about Gene and his meds. We sure don't want a Dizzy Captain driving the Eagle Express.......... Soon so soon we need a Road Trip.
We intended to only have 3 children, but with the third pregnancy we got a bonus with the twins. Then 5 1/2 weeks later, we concieved baby #5, which I SOOOO did not think was possible! Funny thing is, two days later I had a vasectomy! But I guess everything happens for a reason though, because I wouldn't change a thing!
It's awesome Lynne! I'm glad my wife is home though, because it was getting a wee bit stressfull taking care of them myself. I can only give out so much attention at once!
Magpie, thank you for asking. My sister flew back to Maine yesterday with her youngest son. She has found that place where she can function but is in a fog. Preliminary autopsy report says he died before he ever crashed into the house. And his friends say that he had been complaining about his arms and chest hurting thinking maybe he was coming down with a bug. You never know.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GLO AND ZACH! Wow, I thought somebody laid an egg from all the Comments today!
Hope Sharon gets better fast & prayers for Andy's friend.
Someday SOON I will get pics on here from today!(I am pooped!) Saw an adult eagle flying several times by the office this AM, but only got a pic of him far away thru the mist. He sat in a tree by the road when I got there, but when I stopped the car, flew away!! Bad boy.! HOWEVER, this PM one eagle was sittting next to the nest & later another stood up!!!!!!!Are we ready to lay eggs???? Also saw brown thrasher and towhee again by feeders.
Have to sign off now. Good luck in the upcoming weeks. Hope Belle and Lib have better luck than last year. Hoping for good weather! Will try to check in more often. Good bye all!
Loretta I kind of ate up the blog space here and there yakking about mostly non-wildlife stuff, except the wildlife in here that needed some serious cleaning and I only got through one room !
Suzan Thank you for the updated information...so very sad; it is a blessing that no one else got hurt...but the hurting continues now for a long time for the family... I shall keep praying that peace and comfort will settle in ♥
Barbara and Larry were not married. They have many good memories and worked and planted a garden each year together.
She is letting his kids (full grown) to handle things. As long as they do as Larry wanted which they are. She thinks the kids feel like it is making them closer to their Dad since they haven't seen him but about once in ten years.
She and some friends and one of Larry's daughters is going to do a send off for Larry later.
I told her how I did the balloon for Ed and how it rose to the Lord. She liked that idea and is going to use the area Ed is buried and do a small service there. There arent any trees to block the balloons and she feels good because Ed knew Larry.
I am finally sitting down to get a bite to eat. It's been a very unsettling 24 hours.
Well, Boo had a seizure this morning. After this morning, I realized he had one when we got home from the vets last night.
I called the vet this morning, and he ran his bloodwork and urine there in the office. All was good, except his blood sugar was very low...25. Normal is 70-100 from what I have read. Thus the seizure.
Boo also had a seizure before I got home tonight. I was trying to get here early, got home at 6:15. He didn't greet me at the door, and when I called for him, Nugz ran down into the basement. The laundry room was shut, but I couldn't see Boo in there. I came back upstairs and heard him bark. I went back downstairs, and he had crawled behind the dryer, moving it out in the process. He couldn't get back out. He had had a seizure down there. I assume he went down there when he knew it was going to happen. He loses control of his bodily functions when he has the seizures.
So, the question is why the seizures, and the answer is probably not too good. It's most likey his pancreas, although it could be his adrenal glands or thyroid.
I take him back in the morning for more bloodwork, which we are sending out, hopefully it will return some more information.
So, to help his blood sugar at the moment, I gave him less for dinner, and I'll give him a little more before bedtime, hoping to stablize his sugar levels. I can't feed him in the morning before the test.
So, I hope to have an answer in the next couple of days, good or bad, at least I will know what we are dealing with.
Oh before I forget, here's an update on the eagle in the windshield near Donka. They have pics of the eagle in the windshield, they are not gory or anything.
Oh, Paula, so sorry! Poor Boo! Sure hope there is something that can be done to help him.
Good news, Lynn, concerning Mai. Certainly hope this works.
Annie has lost weight. Jack weighed her last night. She is now under 10 lbs. Has been up to 13 but recently weighed 12 and now this. Still acts okay but she is not eating a whole lot.
Checking in for a moment. I have to finish up my dual enrollment syllabus and send it in. I am so behind this semester. Some days it gets discouraging.
A growth on the pancreas. Meds could have stabilized her but she strongly resisted any meds. Changed her personality, made her fearful of us, was also very expensive. We opted for quality of life and not longivity. She will be 16 in June. She has had a long life.
This was last summer. She has just now started loosing weight. She has been acting normal, eating, pooping, etc. She is getting around fine and loves to be petted and purrs up a storm. Every night when we go to bed, she is up there purring and meowing in my face, then walks across me to Jack. She repeats the action with Jack and then is back to me. She is telling us good night I guess and asking for one more petting session.
Paula sorry to read about the seizures for Boo. I had suggested to my son that he ask his vet to check his dog's blood sugar. Jack has had several seizure's this week. I have pretty bad memories of what I saw there with Jack. Breaks my heart. Anyway I hope you can get some info to help Boo. I know it is very hard on you too for sure.
Oh, Paula, so sorry that you are having to go through this. Poor Boo. Low blood sugar certainly may be the cause. If you have any canned or tubed cake icing, you can rub that on his gums if you are present and start seeing the symptoms of a seizure coming on. Just don't try to feed him food once the symptoms start. He could choke on it. So sad. My heart goes out to you. It's very scary, I know.
wow paula, that's a really low glucose level. No wonder he's been unwell. Do you have some Karo syrup in the house? You can put some on his tongue or gums if you think he is heading for a seizure again. Even soda would work. Smaller more frequent meals will help. Poor Boo....
that would explain the lethargy and wobbles for sure. Not a common thing, hypoglycemia in a larger, older dog....I see you've done some reading. Hang in there.
I have rarely seen a canine glucose level so low, and only in many of the small breed puppies from the pet store that my vet worked with (and I'll not get started on that idiot)
Yea, that's what the vet said about that glucose reading, too.
He suggested honey, about a tablespoon. I did give Boo some after I brought him up from the laundry room, he was still pretty wobbly. Perked him right up! Thanks for the other suggestions!
Paula I am so sorry to read of Boo's seizures and how frightening it must have been for you. Will really be praying hard that the Veterinarian can find the cause, and have a good treatment for it. Once again (( hugs for all three of you there...hold each other close... ♥ ))
Jo I did read your comment about the recycled print cartridges...thanks... thought I could save a wee bit of money, but in the end might be more expen$ive
The low blood sugar also explains why Boo perked up so well on Sunday night after dinner. The problem is trying to moderate the food intake during the day when I am not home....so I am guessing he will prescribe some prednisone, which should help.
I did a training class regarding it once, Paula and just snipped the tip and tried it out....figured I needed to know how palatable it would be for a patient.. not so very tasty, but, sure helps out in a crisis
but I never experimented with the activated charcoal slurry!
Going to check on out... need to leave some time for lots and lots of prayers at bedtime.. hoping that Sharon is doing okay...would like to hear about how she is doing tonight...
Grateful for the friendship here... that'll be one of my Thank You prayers
Margy, no....don't think I would try the activated charcoal, either. Yuck! And oh, what a messy thing it is to work with!! But gotta say....sometimes it was a pleasure to use it on SOME patients!!!!
It is down to 17 now. So glad we moved the plants. It is 45 in the garage. The dryer vents to the garage and that helps. Send over your laundry......I could use it! LOL
well, I have reviewed the video several time but I can only SWEAR to 2 cubs. But right around the 20 second mark, I saw where there could be 3. If only Hope would just move over for a few minutes! Lolly, if there is a specific moment when you thought you saw 3 then maybe you could pause the video, get a picture and put some arrows to where they are? I don't know how to add stuff like that to a picture....but I've seen it done on lots of the bear pics on FB.
Lynne, been watching that video again. I can not capture a pic but it just seems to me in all the rolling around that I saw three. It is just a mass of babies! LOL I guess time will tell.
Checking in for a moment. I have to finish up my dual enrollment syllabus and send it in. I am so behind this semester. Some days it gets discouraging.
Paula, I am sorry about Boo's health problems and hope the vet finds the cause and there will be a remedy. It is so very difficult with our special friends. Hugs for you and Boo.
Shirley, hope you get caught up after your brain gets untired.
Had to take another pill and went to sleep for an hour or so. Need to look at Lolly's bear video and read Lynn's letter. Oh no...
I just heard the sandperson creeping down the hall so must get ready to check the nest, turn my light off and leave the night light on for others coming in, headed back the hallway, to the tub (quietly so as not to disturb Mai), to the recliner, or stumbling around looking for printer cartridges. Pleasant dreams for all to stay safe and warm.
Hedgie I meant to tell you and since not too many are on now and will probably not read back.... The other day I stopped at Cracker Barrel - just me, myself and I. It was around lunch time but I really wanted a cup of black coffee - then I saw it! The special was an Up-side-down Pineapple cake with caramel sauce drizzled over it. Ice Cream scoop was on the side. I ate the whole thing! So good! Now I feel better that I told you!
Aw, Jo.....good for you! Glad it hit the spot!!! Don't think I've ever noticed it on their menu. That's fine---since I had PB donuts and choco cake w/ PB icing......you deserved a goodie, too!!!!
Paula, how scary for you and Boo. If our babies could only talk to us and tell us what hurts. I hope a solution is found quickly and that he will be his self soon.

All her sisters and a few friends went for a girls vacation. They had a ball, and she really deserved it! I was getting a little worried about their flight home yesterday afternoon with all this weather moving in, but they made it just fine.
No, Dana, not soup kitchen day.
awww Dana I am so sorry you have received that news. Sad indeed.
Watching the eagle in OK. Do not know if she is rolling eggs or feeding an eaglet but she is up off the egg cup, but blocking the view.
OMG There is an eaglet at OK!!!!
Thanks, Glo, for clarification.....I thought I was right about location!
I saw it! At least one egg has hatche at Sequoyah, OK. Wow, name that baby Stormy!!!
Wow, Lolly......any idea when it hatched????
It was due this week. No, have no idea when it hatched. Poor little one!
I can't get the cam to open there....so what else isn't new??!!
Back before dinner.
MT nest. I am so stuuuuupid! Hobbled into the room and saw a white area in the middle of the nest. Eagle? No! Cursor? Yes!
Hi TJ. Nice to have you visit with us. Also nice your wife had a wonderful vacation and that the kids are doing well. Stay safe in this storm.
Glo, glad you came back. For some reason I thought you were near Chicago. No matter. You and Dex stay warm and safe.
Dana, so very sorry about Larry.
BBL
Yes Hedgie, we do have a generator, but hopefully won't have to use it. We did not get as much ice as they thought. They were forcasting up to an inch, but we got 1/4 inch tops. The power lines seem to be holding up good. Probably have 12" to 15" of snow right now, and it's still snowing. They are even calling for thunder snow!
Read back on the OK blog.
The little eaglet hatched sometime this afternoon. Wow!
Hi Eagle Fans!
I am looking at the SQ nest. Unbelievable. A little snow chick.
It's just unbelievable.
Hi TJ - seems like a long time since we've heard from you! Great that you gave the Mrs a Girl's vacation. I feel that you and the children missed her!
I laughed when you said 'Thunder Snow'
Finally a name for it as some of our areas had thunder before the snow.
Take care and bolt the doors so the twins stay inside! TJ - do you have all boys?
oh wow, prayers that mom and dad can feed and keep the eaglet comfy until this storm passes.
Dana..I would be shocked too. Prayers going up for Barbara and family.
I think it is a little snowbird!
Good evening BEagle
Dana - so sorry for the news about Larry. Prayers for Barbara & family
LOL Reading on fb.
All the teachers are celebrating schools being closed again tomorrow.
No Judie..not stuuuuupid, if so, I am guilty as well, has happened with me before
this old gal needs the Okla link, when the excitement settles down.
pls and thanks
Hallelujah Oklahoma !
that's great news....
Gettin dark here and at the
SQ nest. Bless that eagle, her eggs, and the little hatched eagle.
Dana
I am so very sorry about Larry's death, his illness is over, he is well now in God's Other World
Prayers for his family, and you as well

OK nests
Here you go, Margy!
good news Judie about your walker adventure...hope all the improvement and progress continues, and becomes less painful, soon
xo
I have lost everyone's avatar. Must be time to reboot.
So sorry that Larry didn't make it Dana. It was a shock wasn't it, after being told he was doing well?
There's our friend TJ. What a great trip for your wife...she certainly deserved it!
Lynn...what a great LETTER TO THE EDITOR! Ms. Morgan heard your wrath and she had it coming;)
YOU ROCK, LADY!
It is getting almost too dark to see her on the nest.
Time to go heat up dinner. Beans and cornbread again tonight.
BBL
Lolly, I have been watching OK nest for the last 30 min. and missed it! if you blink this time of year you pay the consequences.
If I can eke out a little from tax refund, I think it is time to go for more computer memory here,
should speed things up on the Live Feed for me, I hope, and half a dozen other things at least
Anyone heard of the term
"Halfteimer's?"
That's when you are halfway to CRS
Thanks, Wanda! Was just getting ready to send out a Blond Alert for you!! How is the Capt? remember you mentioned he wasn't feeling well last week....and shame on me, I forgot to ask about him. Sorry.
Okay, First Mate has arrived !
I can't get avatars at work, Wanda...really miss all that joy...
Oh, I better open up the newspaper...! Think there is greatness within....
thanks for the tip Wanda
I am with you Lolly...on snowbird.
Isn't there a song about beans and cornbread?
Yes Mema Jo, all boys. Kyle will be turning 5 in a few weeks, Kaelan turned 3 a few months age, Kale and Kaden, the twins, are about 15 months, and Keagan is 5 months. They keep me on my toes. It's great fun though! My wife and I have said that if it were not so financially taxing, we would have more. However, that WILL NOT BE HAPPENING!
BTW, locals....I got Ch. 25 back on the antenna converter!!! Yippee.....for local happening news!
Nate returns tonight to NCIS-LA
I thought I recognized him in the clip for tonight's show on FB -
Suzan
how is your sister and all the family doing...any more updates?
Lynn...new BP meds was playing havoc on the Capt. Dizzy, nuseated, sweating, etc. Much better now...thanks.
hedgie Good news about Mai :-) I so hope it continues too.
TJ - My gd has 5 but it's 2 boys - 1 girl- and then another 2 boys! Little Sophia has help on both ends!
You and your wife have an active house but it sure is worth it! Glad you cam back to see us!
TJ - really nice to have you here with us tonight....
really nice gift you gave your wife, and it is good to hear about all the "chaps" too
Woof, that weather you are having....
you and millions of other people from here to there and up and sideways...
Margy, you seem to be enjoying your days off. Good for you!
I keep opening our cam and I am going to be so disappointed tonight if I
see our Belle in the nest.....
Like 'hold it for one more day' Please
Wow I missed the Mai update,
how comforting, hope this continues Lynn
Ok go work your mind with Jeopardy
No Halfteimer's for you...
Wanda glad that Gene is leveling out with the new medications...what a relief for you both
Hello Wanda and very good news about
Gene and his meds. We sure don't want a Dizzy Captain driving the Eagle Express.......... Soon so soon we
need a Road Trip.
TJ I would think that #5 was meant
to be for one reason or another.
Enjoy those Precious boys!
bet your home is a wonderful mix of love and chaos TJ!!
Andy, sorry to hear about your school pal. Praying the treatments cure her.
Happy Birthday, Zach!!
Welcome back TJ...how are those boys? Isee they are keeping you busy. So nice to do that for your wife.
Good new at OK about the chick, hope Parent can keep him warm and dry.
Dana, so so sorry to hear about your frined Larry.
It's awesome Lynne! I'm glad my wife is home though, because it was getting a wee bit stressfull taking care of them myself. I can only give out so much attention at once!
That was a wonderful gift you gave her TJ! I'm sure she came back well relaxed and rested. And very glad to be back with her boys!
YAY Steve is on his way home so he'll be here before the ice hits! Going to go get some supper ready for him...
You never know.
oh Suz, so sad...classic heart attack symptoms but who at that age would even suspect that was what was happening....so young.
Suzan Did you get to see your sister -
you mentioned she flew back to Maine.
My prayers are with her and also your nephew's wife and child.
2 more minutes until I get to sit
down and watch TV...
I'll be back during some commercials..
So Long TJ - Thanks so much for giving us some smiles ☺
See you, next time !
Loretta
I kind of ate up the blog space here and there yakking about mostly non-wildlife stuff,
except the wildlife in here that needed some serious cleaning and I only got through one room !
Nite TJ! Come back and check on the eagles soon! It was great to hear about your family. We need a picture!
Suzan
Thank you for the updated information...so very sad; it is a blessing that no one else got hurt...but the hurting continues now for a long time for the family...
I shall keep praying
that peace and comfort will settle in
♥
I just heard some noise at the nest...they must be up in the branches close by. STAY THERE!! NO EGG TONIGHT!!!
Miggles, you take up all the blog space you want!
precip getting closer, at least on the radar. Very ggoogy here.
BBL
Barbara and Larry were not married. They have many good memories and worked and planted a garden each year together.
She is letting his kids (full grown) to handle things. As long as they do as Larry wanted which they are. She thinks the kids feel like it is making them closer to their Dad since they haven't seen him but about once in ten years.
She and some friends and one of Larry's daughters is going to do a send off for Larry later.
I told her how I did the balloon for Ed and how it rose to the Lord. She liked that idea and is going to use the area Ed is buried and do a small service there. There arent any trees to block the balloons and she feels good because Ed knew Larry.
ggoogy????? Sounds like one of my vocabulary words.
Going for tv
Everything will be ok
She has good memories like I have with Ed.
later
Prayers for people and animals that need them.
Suzan, again, very sad for your family. Prayers for their comfort.
Bye T.J. Come back soon.
Hi Lowreeda.
Food could make a big difference, Lynn. Never occurred to me. Hope it works.
Going to get under the covers and warm up.
BBL
Donka's Eagle in NY
Lynn, hope the change in food helps Mai.
Yay for you Judie using the walker!
Oh, these pets!!!!!!
Checking in for a moment. I have to finish up my dual enrollment syllabus and send it in. I am so behind this semester. Some days it gets discouraging.
My brain is trying to shut down. I am tired.
I will try to BBL.
Lolly, can you refresh my memory on Annie's condition.
Lolly, Annie is hyperthyroid I thought...
that would explain the lethargy and wobbles for sure. Not a common thing, hypoglycemia in a larger, older dog....I see you've done some reading. Hang in there.
Regular Jelly would work on the gums, too.
Very sad about your nephew, Suzan. If only people would take those kind of symptoms seriously, regardless of age.
Dana, good that Barbara is letting Larry's kids take the lead. I just hope they don't exclude her.
Lowreeda, so glad you got to see "your" eagles!!
TJ, check back soon!! We surely WILL have egg(s) before too long.
Lynn, icing is a good idea too! Never thought of that!
Loretta - very appropriate avatar...
Now into the 2nd show - First one was
good.
Paula - Info about Boo is breaking my heart and I know you're feeling sad.
Sure hope he can be healed.
I'll read more comments at next
commercial
lynne, I, too, was thinking that 25 is so-o-o low....people would be totally unresponsive (comatose) at that.
You are correct, Lynne. Have pancreas on my mind, I guess.
I did get to talk to Michael tonight, will probably call John tomorrow night.
Paula
I am so sorry to read of Boo's seizures and how frightening it must have been for you. Will really be praying hard that the Veterinarian can find the cause, and have a good treatment for it.
Once again (( hugs for all three of you there...hold each other close... ♥ ))
Lolly
I love those stories about Annie's good night routines
Dana
sounds like there will be some nice ceremonies for Larry, including the one with the balloon at the cemetery, very poignant...
what a neat idea
okay Lynne...just what IS ggoogy ?
creating a new word for the Blogtionary ??
I'm wondering if you meant foggy?
Yes, Lynne, I looked up some information today. Printed it out and will take with me tomorrow.
this website seems pretty good.... www.petplace.com
Next item on the agenda is dog food...nutritional information, carbohydrate counts, fat content etc.
Glo, yes they are rather scary to watch. Hope your son takes the dog in to be checked.
Yea, kitties are the worst to give medication to. My dogs do pretty well.
we used to carry a tube of glucose gel on the ambulances, think they still do...
glad to hear that kind of idea is good for pets too
Dana, glad Larry's kids are carrying out his wished, I'm sure it makes it much easier on Barbara.
Jo
I did read your comment about the recycled print cartridges...thanks...
thought I could save a wee bit of money, but in the end might be more expen$ive
The low blood sugar also explains why Boo perked up so well on Sunday night after dinner. The problem is trying to moderate the food intake during the day when I am not home....so I am guessing he will prescribe some prednisone, which should help.
Glo
hope Jack will be okay too...
Best wishes on the last few hours of this birthday hope Dex is doing okay too...does he know it is your birthday? LOL
xoxo
Yup, Margy, they do still carry the glucose.
I did a training class regarding it once, Paula
and just snipped the tip and tried it out....figured I needed to know how palatable it would be for a patient..
not so very tasty, but, sure helps out in a crisis
but I never experimented with the activated charcoal slurry!
Another good video on utube, 2 or 3 cubs???? What do you think?
Bear video
The precip has started......
Going to check on out...
need to leave some time for lots and lots of prayers at bedtime..
hoping that Sharon is doing okay...would like to hear about how she is doing tonight...
Grateful for the friendship here...
that'll be one of my Thank You prayers
God Bless Us, Every One
xoxo ♥
PS Lynn:
Awesome Letter to the Editor...!!
Ok, give us the link to the newspaper to read Lynn's letter.
And, concerning the cubs...I will go on record as saying I think there are three cubs.
I've been wrong before, can be wrong again. LOL
Lolly, I think it's still only 2 cubs plus Hope!
Margy, no....don't think I would try the activated charcoal, either. Yuck! And oh, what a messy thing it is to work with!! But gotta say....sometimes it was a pleasure to use it on SOME patients!!!!
working on it Lynne...
give me a few
uh, that would be...working on it LOLLY -
sorry, I'm in a Halfteimer's stage right now
Getting a little precip here in the valley
It is down to 17 now. So glad we moved the plants. It is 45 in the garage. The dryer vents to the garage and that helps. Send over your laundry......I could use it! LOL
Oh my, I did mean FOGGY!!!
well, I have reviewed the video several time but I can only SWEAR to 2 cubs.
Margy - I didn't make any comment to you concerning recycled print cartridges ????????????
OOOHHHHHHH!!!!! Well, it takes me a while but I finally "get" the Halfteimer's!! Duh!
Okay the links to our Journal article and Lynn's letter:
Journal Article Jan 12 2011
and here is Hedgie's Letter today
Letter to the Editor (author Lynn)
HAHAHAAHAHA! and it just occurs to me that I must have it!!!
Didn't want to ask and seem daft earlier....
wow Lynn....you GO GIRL!
Dana commented about the print cartridges.
woooops, oh oh I must have it too Jo...!!
(Halfteimer's which is Alzheimer's half of the time)
Sorry it was Dana, and thank you Dana...
my tax lady gave me the Halfteimer's line...hope she got my taxes right !
thanks Paula...you beat me to it ☺
You're sharp! Must be like a photographic memory you have !
okay, finally cleaned off the bed, NOW it is bedtime
xoxo
I'm hearing sporadic thunks from the nest...must be sleeting there now.
Where the heck is Shirley??????
Don't remember a post from her since this morning from school. Hope she is OK. And George, and Kathryn...
Heading for bed now. Good night and prayers for all!
Great letter, Lynn. Straight and to the point!
Lynne, been watching that video again. I can not capture a pic but it just seems to me in all the rolling around that I saw three. It is just a mass of babies! LOL I guess time will tell.
Shirley said....
Checking in for a moment. I have to finish up my dual enrollment syllabus and send it in. I am so behind this semester. Some days it gets discouraging.
My brain is trying to shut down. I am tired.
I will try to BBL.
Tuesday, February 01, 2011 8:53:00 PM
Terrific Tuesday is Over.........
All 3 were good - I guess NCIS:LA will be continuing...
Good Night Judy, Shirley, Margy, Paula and all who are going to the pillows.
We are going to be splitting again in
8 comments........ We are quite a
fast talking group!
Nest is MT........
Good night to you Lynne.
Andy - could you put your material on a disc and take it to school and print it there or just hand in the disc.
Thanks for comments on my letter!
Yep, Jo, all three shows good.
No word from Carolyn yet......will give her a few more minutes and then will call her.
Lynn your letter to the editor
was very well written and should get your point across to whom it concerns.
Of course, I don't have to watch my glucose......giggle, giggle! So I know you can only indulge once in a while!
Paula, how scary for you and Boo. If our babies could only talk to us and tell us what hurts. I hope a solution is found quickly and that he will be his self soon.
