Wanda, they don't migrate, so Lib and Belle are still in the area. Not sure when they seriously start rebuilding their nest, but think they add to it off and on all year. Think Steve probably won't put the cam on for us until they test everything. Yes, that zoom feature would be totally awesome!

The Finnish chick is upon her nest...I guess in the far north the Ospreys not only start nesting a bit late, they must start migrating late too.
I don't believe either of our birds is still at BW though. I don't know about you, but the last one I saw there was a strange female with a heavy necklace (could have been the one that was attacking earlier in the season).

Watching BAI feed SQUIGGLE---She sticks her head up & I SWEAR she looks like a "sock puppet"---I wish they had more light in her den!!!---SHE IS AN ACTIVE LITTLE CUTIE!!!!
MEANWHILE---BACK IN ATLANTA!!!---LUN LUN is half lying on her back in the lawn eating BAMBOO---and the "LITTLE BEAUTY" is doing "her" thing----sleeping on the top row of logs!!!---I think we should start referring to her as 'SLEEPING BEAUTY'----

Hi. I was just Googling "Blue Mountain Inn" and ran across some comments folks had about that place.
I was stationed near Camp David in the 80's and ate there all the time. That place was the best. On Fridays it was all you can eat crabs, crab legs, ribs, steak, fried oysters and clams, crab imperial, fried chicken, slaw, hush puppies, cobbler, and many pitchers of beer. And on Wednesdays I think it was, they had all you can eat soft shells. It was like $18 plus drinks in 1985. Well worth it. And they had this great band called "South Of The Border" I think it was. Good memories.
I find now that the place no longer exists, but the daughter of the B.M.I.'s owner still sells crabs in Thurmont.
And I remember one time having to go to Hagerstown for a "mission" out of Frederick. And on the way back, my compadre and I were doing 135 mph up and down those hills on Alt. 40 I think it was. We made it back to Frederick in about 15 minutes. We saved so much time we were able to stop off for lunch beers at Tasker's Last Chance. I wonder if that place is still there?
We were all wild and untamed in those days.
