about ready for bed, but just got home a short bit ago.
Chelsea bought a new washer & dryer today. (her old set was 10+ years old) her old set was showing definite signs of wear and tear and giving out. with 3 kiddos, she needs that equipment. she bought a beautiful new set...floor model, on sale. we went and had dinner with them and then picked up the set for her and tom and chris brought it in the house.
was so much fun to see my gkids. such sweet precious little people. Amelia was explaining all about "skylanders" to me (I'm still like ??????? okay. its a game with figurines) and jack was having a bad day, so I gave him some extra tlc and lorelei, well what can I say about that little stinkerbutt. she is so cute.

Hoda, can understand your desire to get outside and enjoy nature, away from such bad news. I love it when we are on trips and do not watch the news nor read new après!
We live semi rural. Have seen fox but never heard them for real! Have heard plenty of coyotes! Of corse we have bunnies and armadillos. Have had goats, horses and cows escaping and running across our yard. Once we had a roadrunner in our yard. He ran straight up a tree, caught a lizard, and he then proceeded to the paved road to kill the lizard. And, of corse, we had a hawk nest in our yard for several years. We saw 10 babies fed, and fledge. That's where we learned all about poop shoots.
Still no word from Andy?
Jack had his appointment. He still has many questions. Insurance will pay some. Still expensive but something he really needs to do. Happy he is taking this step. He is completely deaf in one ear from an accident as a child. Now the other ear is bad. It is really sort of funny sometimes when he repeats back to me what he thought he heard.
Time for shower and bed. Dr appointment in the morning. Yearly check up.

My Honda was returned last night. Instead of just servicing it, they washed the outside and cleaned the inside as well!! Great customer service!

Just read back over all the comments. Glad there is a lot watching. I am watching on my ipad, but when doing that can not comment. Jack said reboot my laptop, I did but it still does not work the cam longer than a few seconds or minutes. But, I can blog on the laptop and watch the ipad!

So glad the nest didn't get an Ohio snowfall spillover. We have another couple of inches on the ground today.
Have to get set for the heating/ac co. tech to arrive for a routine check up of the system.

I say push him out of the nest! These darn kids....LOL! Kidding, I bawled like a baby when Andrew left...yes, Andrew moved out. Facebookers know this, he drove to CA after Christmas. Annemarie rode across the country with him and flew back by herself.
Andrew is out there with "girlfriend" and they both plan to move east after she finishes school. He finished his degree (albeit only an AA) and didn't know what to do with himself until she finished...so off he went.
Good that he has his AA, Dana. He is part-way to a 4 year degree.
I think the Juvie looked healthy, just disheveled from the wind. Just MHO.

Car shopping this weekend, again...for Annemarie. Wishing Monte would have bought the Jeep from Sandi!
Dad is still in the hospital. Just to catch everyone up. He was extremely weak on Monday and couldn't get to his dr. appt. Ended up going to hosp. by ambulance.
Turns out he was "empty" on blood. He had to have a transfusion. 4 units! His Hemaglobin was 3.9! The hospital says they never get anyone that low!
He is on the road to recovery and they are doing test to see if they can find where he is bleeding from if anywhere. If they find nothing it just means that his system is having a hard time from all the chemo. (even though he hasn't had it for a year). He will be starting again. The tumors have grown slightly.

May I come in? Wouldn't be surprised if you all hit me with your eagle canes for causing you such concern! I am so sorry to worry all of you! I apologize!! Ken and I and Emma are all OK. We have just been VERY busy! We had a bit of a worry with Emma when she had to get her rabies vaccine, too. She tends to get an allergic reaction to other vaccines, so had to get a Benadryl and a steroid shot before the vaccine, and a week's worth of homotoxicology therapy to rid her body of toxins from the vaccine. She's come through it OK, and is her old self again!
I truly am sorry to worry all of you! I have had more work to do for the doctor I transcribe for, and Ken has been spending more time on the computer. He has to search for a job in order for our credit card insurance to continue to pay 3 or 4 of our credit card payments since he got laid off of his job last year. The end of this month he will be able to apply again for extended unemployment benefits. He may or may not be approved. Tomorrow is the 1 year anniversary of his being "laid off." We're meeting his former work buddy, Chuck, who got laid off the same day, for breakfast tomorrow--so we can
celebrate. Oh--and please say a few prayers for Ken's attorneys.
They are in their "discovery" phase, trying to get Ken's personnel files from his former employer. We suspect that the personnel dept. may pull and shred any of his papers that would not be to their advantage, and there's 48 years worth of stuff there. Ken can't possibly remember everything from that big a chunk of time, so what is there is pretty important. He didn't bring home a copy of every yearly review either, and they wouldn't let him return to his desk when they escorted him out of the building.
Grrrr! Well, enough said.
Yikes!! A juvie at the nest! Could it be that Hedgie (our Lynn) is visiting?! So interesting that Belle & Shep aren't really chasing it off. I wonder how often this happens.
....Golly! Here is where I got interrupted by the City shutting off our power so they could "swap out" our electric meter!! Everything is back on now. I wonder why they swapped out our meter, though. They changed us to their new "smart" meter a couple of years ago. Oh, well.
Once again, let me apologize for worrying all of you!! I've set an alarm on my phone to remind me to check in with you every day!
I'm trying to read back and get caught up on what's happening, too. You all have been included in my prayers, and I hope everyone is doing well.
