Busy day: private clients, pick up the kid from school, run errands....quick stop at petco...they have a medication there that helps arthritis in animals .... made such a difference in our luke. he was literally dragging a hind leg...we got him from a shelter, think he had an old injury and maybe arthritis set it. the product is called joint support and the main ingredient that helps is cetyl-m. he takes two pills a day and can run and jump again. it took about 6 to 8 weeks to see the full effect, but he doesnt' go without it now.
and, of course, a stop at the grocery. kids will be here tomorrow and need a few extra things.

Watched AI and then had a long conversation with Zacharooski. He had a party this evening at a pizza place with his classmates. He did not receive gifts. This is good!!! He told me he is taller. LOL Love that boy and can hardly wait to see him Saturday. Michael did call earlier and invite us over but we declined. Seems that Ashley had mentioned that was what they were going to do in an email and Jack deleted it. A comedy of errors. But right now I am close to tears cause I want to hug him and really missed seeing him today.
Home now. Sandperson is about to make rounds but beware -- there are tears being shed. GDub lost to Xavier 59-58. Such a disappointment for the guys. Was a very important game.
The night light is on for anyone who may need to arise in the darkness and to help Belle find her way to the nest to lay an egg.
Got back by clicking "newer" on the previous page!!!!Guess once you get IN, you can maneuver!
Lynn, I have toasted you w/coffee after dinner. But mine is almost a milkshake--milk & sugar!!Was it CarolAnne who drank multiple toasts!! Loved it!!! TEE HEE But Lynn, hope your tummy gets normal! So exciting to read that Tori awoke today!!! And hope Joe is OK. Prayers for good recovery for them.
JudyE, Love your eagle sign!I want one!I put Leonard on for tomorrow!

Sorry for the stress, Shirley. Picking up some bad vibes from you. (((hugs))) LOVE the picture of George checking OC blog. Too funny! He is a true Dadster, right?
SHIRLEY I hope things go well for you too...you said you did not feel the earth quake? So why FEMA? Thank you for the picture of cat and computer screen...so cute that he stays so close to you.
Yes JO I was very happy I was able to vote tonight too...that seems to have cleared after a period of blocks...
Okay---I opened the OC page in a new window, and sure enough, the forum messages aren't there. And "click here" goes to an Oops--Internet error" message. Hmmmmm.....????? Must be a technical difficulty.
This is for the Aug. 23 quake, Hoda. We definitely felt that one. There are some small cracks around my foundation. I do not know if the quake caused them or not.
I have learned recently that there were seven reports of damage to houses on my street. That would probably be about half the houses on this street.
Jack is watching hockey in the other room. The TV in the study is better for watching hockey as you sit closer to the TV. He is yelling...must be going good. LOL I am off for a short while. Washed my hair after working in the yard and need to work with it a bit. Also need to do a manicure. Yard work, even though I wear gloves, is not good for the nails.
Thanks LYNN...I was wondering what it all means...I will wait till tomorrow since they seem to be working on the site it seems like. I was glad to see the nest which is why I had gone there...
Check Loretta's pics from PAX! They are great!!!! Hope your dental apptmt. goes well tomorrow, Lowreeda.
Hoda, glad yours turned out well!! If you want me to find that toothpaste and send it to you, I will!
Wonder what Lynne2 is up to tonight??
Shirley, sorry.....(((hugs))) and hopes that things settle down. You don't need stress!
Lolly, sorry about the miscommunication....but the weekend setting will be more intimate and enable more one-on-one time with Zach than a school party would have!!
You are so sweet LYNN...THANK YOU. It is all good and I will keep with the sensodyne paste that we have here and just rinse right after I have any acidic foods.I very much appreciate it.
Shirley - You know we are here for you and that we got your back even without knowing any particulars. You are going to be getting some very positive vibes coming at you along with hugs! ♥
Roberta Schonhans aka Bobbi just talked to Robyn. Tori is coming along great and they hope to have all tubes out of her by this weekend at which time Robyn was told Tori would be flying solo. Tears of joy are flowing at this end. Thank you God.
Garden of Eagles FB post about NBG: From a second report on WVEC: "VDGIF says they agree with the findings of a wildlife hazard assessment and working on a solution that does include taking the nest down." And: WVEC to keep cam
I'm going to sign off for today. Like I said, when I take prednisone I have the worst time getting to sleep. Guess I can lie there and think about eagles laying eggs. (in our nest of course)
Good night and God Bless you all & all those you love Prayers of thankfulness - God is Good Prayers of our needs Hugs for all ♥♥♥♥♥♥
Wonderful report from Bobbi!!! So very relieved that Tori is progressing So well, So fast! Youth on her side!!
BTW, JudyE---if you read back in the morning....I have not kept up with the cheat sheet in a long time. Have had a lot of other things on my mind!! Frankly, there aren't many new additions....and I will probably delete many on it who never returned. I'll get to it one of these days!
LYNN enjoy the puzzles and I am glad you feel better now and YEAY no getting up early tomorrow to make the transport pick up time and you can stay in as many days as you would like and I am so VERY PROUD OF YOU in how you handled this whole experience...
Shirley, I know you have headed upstairs. I just knew something was not right. We are here for you and respect the fact you can not talk about it. Just know we love you and are here for you!!!
Sandi...so glad you gave that student a hug. I am sure it was something he needed badly. I would have done the same.
Laurel teaches 6th grade. Joseph will be at her school next year. He will be on team 2, not team 1 which is Laurel's. They are both excited about it!
As for NBG, surely they will not do anything about the nest this year. That would certainly not be good. But, what is going to prevent them from building a nest in the same area, just not in the gardens?
Time to say Good Night! Lynn, glad you're feeling better. Jewel update is great. I was going there next! Prayers for good health for all on our list! ☺ Pleasant Feather Dreams ;>) See ya on Groundhog (Leonard's) Day
The card table is still set up with the puzzle on it. Annie decided this evening that that would be a great place for a nap...right on top of the puzzle. Too funny!
Thanks, Hoda and Lolly! So cool to not have to set the alarm. I slept so well last night--until the power went out! Bet I'll do even better tonight. Don't look for me too early!! Rain in the forecast, but still to be in the 50's. Sure beats s--w!
Yes, Wanda, please chime in and let us know how you are!! Gene did say that they anticipate the therapy only be necessary for 4 weeks now....so you obviously are making fantastic progress. He said that Dr. advised against family night Fri. because of Jayden being "boy!" But Gene thinks she will make it to Church Sunday! Way to go. That's our Tiger!!!!
Goodnight, all. Many prayers for many needs....of course, Tori and Joe and Nila and baby Ava top the long list. And again, thanks for all your love and support! Peace.
I can't seem to find the end of this blog, so I will hope you all find me.
I can't find myself from earlier, so I don't remember what I said.
LYNN dropped off a puzzle for GG to work on...I do hope she gets interested in it. I will work it with her.
I had a good PT work out today. Lady's name is MEL and she doesn't push too hard. I'm up to 30 reps of every exercise.
Time to crawl into my new bed...smell the flowers I was sent yesterday and look at the 5 pretty plants sent in a basket....all while holding my PRECIOUS TIGER sent today. I LOVE HIM!!
Need to find news on TORI & Joe and say prayers for all~
Ahhh, that is like normal. Our Wanda chiming in late! Wanda, so glad everything is going so well. I am so proud of you. You and Lynn are a true inspiration!!
Time for me to turn in now. I go to the doctor in the morning. Will learn when I will have eye surgery and have my second cataract removed.
Lynn, you are on the top of my prayer list, with Wanda, Tori and others close behind.
Night all! Sweet dreams!
AND. Good morning, Lori!!!!!! Love you! Oh, and not eagle in the nest at this hour!
Hi, Everyone, Had kind of a crazy late afternoon/evening, then fell asleep after dinner.
LYNN, Congratulations on finishing your treatments! Toasted you at dinner with some coffee. SO proud of you! (((HUGS)))! Praying that you'll feel ever so much better in the morning!
Wanda, you are something else! SO happy you're doing so well! Healing prayers continue!
Lolly, saying prayers for your eye doctor appt. tomorrow!
Oh, Shirley! Saying some heavy-duty prayers about your situation with a neighbor! Hope it works out in your favor. We are all there for you! (((HUGS)))!!
I have a prayer request myself tonight. Kubby's car, our '94 Honda Accord, overheated on the way home from his work tonight. He had it towed to a Pep Boys very close to home. We're hoping it won't be a major expense to fix it. Thank you in advance for your prayers!
Going to call it a day now. Have said prayers for everyone, and for every creature. Judie, thanks for the night light! I'm making sure the porch light is on, and enabling both security systems. Sleep well, everyone. God bless, and goodnight. Love all of you SO much! :o]
Prayers for Tori's, Lynn's, Joe's full recovery.Wanda's knee, Sharon's friend Nila, Stephen, Riley Joy Allen, Lori scratches, Friend of Charlies & Carolyn's that had back surgery, Cathy G., Baby Ava, Lolly's dr. appointment, and Andy hubby's car. Lord if I missed anyone YOU know who they are please add them. Thank you.
DMo, at least with grandparents day, you're not the one the adults are focused on! Have a good one friends! Will not be able to check in from school at all today and I think I'm staying for the b'ball game after school. See you all MUCH later!
Moother took her car for inspection yesterday. Needed some brake work. Got it inspected. Then she drove some other place got out of car. Then one other place and got out of car. By the time she got home she could hardly move her hands. They were hurting like crazy!! She called me at 6pm and said, "I can't stand the pain anymore I am going to bed."
Good Morning Eagle Buds I just got up and this was in my email I haven't had a chance to read it yet This is the article that Cathy had mentioned on my YouTube page
I have an appointment to get my taxes done on Tuesday. Lady is usually over years at Falling Waters. This year just up the street at the North Berkeley Library. Closer to me nice (:
another black mark for Fl there are 904 concealed weapons permit given to the city of Philadelphia you can go on line and get a concealed weapon permit don't even have to live here of come to the state to get it was on the new Unbelievable huh We are a shall issue state were other states are may issue states they are trying to change it now wow huh
Woops - sorry, that was not from Ed Clark, it was from David Hancock at the Hancock Wildlife Federation. I have spent the last hour looking for that article to give you the website, but can't "stumble" on it again. Mr. Hancock was talking about a first-year eagle pair at one of his nests who, after a long period of time without the eggs hatching, abandoned the nest. I just copied his statement and put it in Word never thinking anyone would want to see the actual website. The Hancock Website is http://www.hancockwildlife.org/, but it was a discussion back in 2009 about this nest. But anyway, this is the gist of what he said. I thought it was interesting, so I copied it thinking of Shep, his inexperience, and the possibility that first year mated eagles may not be as proficient as long-established pairs. You know, not always a sure thing - once or twice mating and three eggs laid 5 to 10 days later, hatched in 34 days, and all is well. I mean, I don't even know how a 4 year old male learns, it seems instinctively, how to build a nest, or mate, or the rituals of incubation switches, or feeding those little babies. It would just make sense that it would take a few tries to get it right. And you look at Belle - really look at her. She is going through the motions, but IMHO, she knows it didn't work and won't work. She is experienced and has had many broods before. How long now has Shep been jumping her bones, and still nothing.
Of course, I watch all your posts. Whenever Shep gives it the good 'ol boy try, the comments reflect everyone's joy and expectations of eggs any day now. There just may be more bad news this year, too - and maybe even next year. I want to see this nest succeed as much as anyone, but something is wrong, and this may be exactly what it is.
the failure of this new breeding pair of bald eagles to rear their young is of course disappointing but they too have to learn -- everything from effective nest building to mating practices. Generally if an egg is fertilized and dies at some stage of development, then that egg begins to decompose within and just about hatching time or shortly thereafter, it explodes. This is usually while the incubating adult is sitting on it. That ends that nesting attempt. We saw this on a previous Hornby Island clutch. On the other hand, if the egg is not fertilized the egg's protective shell and membranes seem to be able to ward off invading bacteria and the egg largely undergoes dehydration. This usually results in the egg remaining intact longer -- like the Delta OWL bald eagle nest -- and when finally abandoned is simply taken by crows or ravens. We are finally witnessing our stalwart Delta pair going through a gradual "abandonment" of the eggs. Something I have not seen so prolonged before. Again I attribute this to the inexperience of the adults -- this being their first breeding attempt -- at least here and probably anywhere. Perhaps the potential competition from all the other bald eagles in their area (within a mile of two major city and compost dumps) keeps them in attendance.

Hi JudyE, cats are doing great. I'm especially proud of kitten Andie and how she has bounced back and responded to the work we've done with her since her freak out scratch attack last weekend. Thanks for asking!

CA...your post had me laughing out loud. Thanks....I needed that.
Hi,
Sorry about the stomach problems, Lynn. Sincere prayers that you will be much better from here on out.
Haven't been around much today. Things are a bit crazy here now.
A new look to the OC camera page...the chat line is off?
Sorry about the rose bush attack, Lolly. Those rose bushes can be really evil.

Oh, Shirley.....what a lousy mess to have to deal with. Sure hope it doesn't involve your lovely fence.
No problems with the fence. Just wish we had known before what we know now about certain people.
I might be duplicating this --
Roberta Schonhans aka Bobbi
just talked to Robyn. Tori is coming along great and they hope to have all tubes out of her by this weekend at which time Robyn was told Tori would be flying solo. Tears of joy are flowing at this end. Thank you God.

Pleasant Feather Dreams ;>)
See ya on Groundhog (Leonard's) Day
The card table is still set up with the puzzle on it. Annie decided this evening that that would be a great place for a nap...right on top of the puzzle. Too funny!
Well everyone is signing off. That is a signal I should be too.
I miss Wanda not being on here commenting very much. Wanda I miss you and love you lady. Still praying for you and your "new knee". HUGS
Peace.
@Janet-Since dogs that people medicine.
The product you get at Petco that
helps arthritis in animals. Made
such a difference in Luke. He was
dragging a hind leg. The product
is called joint support and the
main ingredient that helps is
cetyl-m. He takes 2 pills a day
and can run and jump again. It
took 6 to 8 week to see the full
effect. If I go to Petco and buy
this and take it. Will I run and
jump around like Luke is doing?
Shirley your in my prayers for whatever the situation on the home front or back. That God is on your side and it gets resolved quickly.
Good night tomorrow is another day.
Hope everyong can get some restfull sleep.

Today's NEST WEATHER. . .
It's back to more normal Feb. weather, but still above average temp today:
A slight chance of rain before 11am. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 50. Light breeze.
Sorry I missed you, Lolly, and big hugs for your missing Zacharooski yesterday. He is your boy! Big smile!

Hi, Everyone,
Had kind of a crazy late afternoon/evening, then fell asleep after dinner.

Hope this gets me to the morning commments.

What did I miss?
Sorry Good Morning JudyE (:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2009
From David Hancock:
the failure of this new breeding pair of bald eagles to rear their young is of course disappointing but they too have to learn -- everything from effective nest building to mating practices.

WVAGAL DANA; not sure. they DO make cetyl-m in a human formula...you can google it. the person who told me about it uses it on her horses....and when i googled it they had human and animal formulas....not sure. i would do research and then if you want, try it. it is used in conjunction with glucosomine & chondrotin.....
