Happy New Year! Please forgive my late greetings. We had internet issues all weekend.I am behind on the blog but want to wish everyone good health, peace and prosperity today and always.
Hoda, the main highway that takes me to Paradise runs through the town where Blackwater is located.... I can turn off of it and be at Blackwater in 15 minutes
I need to add dates, etc. to my captures for 2012. Got one string of lights (100) untangled from the Charlie Brown tree! One to go! Realized I won't be deprived of all Xmas Decos, as I still have the Norfolk pine & a live greens centerpiece we got as a present. Might put them on the mantle, away from kitty jump area!! Xmas lives! BBL--din din heating~~~
Thank you Suzan ! I'm sure we all wish you all those same things ! Most of all, good health ! ♥
What timing I have. Just missed the visit, but happy to read all about it !
LORI, another cute thing about Malcolm and the tug. He goes through periods when he lies with it and lovingly smoozes the tassles in his mouth. At first I thought he meant to chew at them and destroy, but no, none have been harmed. Once it dries out it looks good as new ! My NJ granddog has a stuffed hippo he does that with. Both with a profound look of love on their faces. So cute !
Laurel called while watching the eagles. However, I wanted to comment on Shep. Did you see that wing action? I think he was interested in HP but just could not get it together. LOL
Lolly, it is probably easiest for me to visit on the way home on Sunday in the summer, as the days are longer...but it means I have to leave the beach earlier, which was kind of hard last summer. I may find it easier to visit there this summer. I can't visit on the way down on Friday nite...it's too dark.
I think I mentioned my friend Harriet who recently had a double mastectomy. Well, today is her 72 birthday so I gave her a call. Bless her heart she sounds so up! She gets her port this week and starts chemo next Monday. Says she wants her hair to come back straight and strawberry blonde. She has short dark thick wavy hair. I told her no!!! Forget the straight hair. We had a great visit. I ask that you keep her in prayers.
Photos posted in album. Somehjow yahoo keeps logging me aout and I have to log back on each time...good for me to remember user id and password!!! Thank you JO for the new album and it makes it so easy to put hings in order.
LOL Actually Harriet has gray hair, it used to be dark! I think of her with dark hair. We were neighbors when we both first married. Been friends for a long time.
Prayers for Harriett, Lolly. How is your neighbor lady doing?
Christie's neighbor man is doing very poorly.....his lung recurrance turned out to be agent orange related, so they thankfully got that benefit all straightened out. Don't know what it will do as far as helping her when he's gone....hopefully something.
LOLLY I saw that SHEP could not get it together...Miss belle was certainly saying she was willing and the fool did not take her up on it he seemed to get all caught up in his own awkwardness so she moved on!!!Will we get eggs this year I wonder? Not at the rate he was going tonight I would not say...LOL I hope I am wrong...
I got a lot put away, but ran out of steam. Laurel had a good day working in her room. Joey and the boys visited her and brought her new microwave and refrig for her classsroom. Michael and Ash gave her the microwave and we gave her the little refrig. She is thrilled to have them in her classroom.
Happiness is hearing from Bob, learning LYNN has almost conquered the sewing machine woes and will soon see JEWELS and finding that MARGY's James'es paid a call !
LOLLY, your dear old friend, Harriet will be remembered in prayer. Her positive attitude is going to stand her in good stead !
LYNN sorry about Christie's neighbour...agent orange is tough to deal with...I hope his family gets some sort of assistance after he is gone...it would be hard to take though I would think...
Neighbor lady is hanging in there. She was given just a few months a year and a half ago. I have seen her out raking leaves in the morning. Jim, her husband, says she wears out in the afternoons. She gave us a small jar of homemade cranberry sauce for Christmas. Bless her heart.
Just told Jack I would make cornbread to go with the beans and ham. He told me I did not have to do that....only if I want to live. Isn't he sweet? LOL
LOLLY in regards your neighbour and the docotrs estimate as to time left...I experience a great deal of frustration when such predicitions are made and KUDOS to her for working in the yard and making jam...GOOD ON HER!!!
A wonderful gift from Michael and Ashley and you and JACK to LAUREL...GREAT choice, she spends so much of her day in the classroom and it will make it more comfortable.
She would so love to be a stay at home mommy, so we do what we can. Not all schools allow that in a classroom, but this school does. She is in the basement on an old school, so this will definitely help! She is having a good year and that is great! She finds the underprivileged more appreciative and sweeter.
I did put the two video on Youtbe and the blog and going to put on the fan page in a min Just in case you need a eagle fix and didn't get it Go get it now LOL The HP attempt I think it was maybe and someone else also thought this am is on the 2nd shortest video and they both have music so no clicking of keys I know you alll miss that LOL
Have determined that it is the needle thread that is bunching up under the fabric, and not the bobbin thread......don't know what to do.....try changing needles? Any sewers have advice?
I found a nice song to put with the lst video song I usually pick classical or easy listening instrumental no words because I don't recognize any artist Youtube has but I love this one
I see Bob popped in HI BOB still reading gonna go watch some news before I continue my neck is bothering me did something stupid at work I shouldn't have That what I get huh
Lolly, Prayers for your friend, Harriet...and your neighbor lady, and for Christie's neighbor man...knew a fellow once, very active in EMS, was in the service for Desert Storm...his health was ruined from Agent Orange, though the "powers that be" didn't ever acknowledge that was the cause....last I heard anyway ...not fair, just not fair...
The park ranger killed by a criminal in Mount Ranier NAtional Park over the weekend used to work at our local C&O Canal National Park. Too bad...she has two young children, and her husband is also a ranger.
Kay is can just see Malcolm snoozing with that tug and the tassles in his mouth lol
Lynn sorry about Christie's neighbor man. Agent Orange is no walk in the park. I had to bring the vets into Martinsburg Va Center and use the questionaire they had provided me. The man said the questionaire was set up so they good not get any benefits. So I wrote in what they told me. I was the forms were sent back and I had to recall the Vets in and do the forms right. I recalled them in. Again these men telling me their stories and we lost a few during the re-interviewing. I again wrote what the Vets told me. The 3rd time they came to me and said you did it again. You can't write stuff in. It is either yes or no. So you have to recall the Vets in and this time only mark yes or no. I told them I didn't care if they knocked me down a grade. I would NOT call them back in. You do it or get someone else. I was sent from scheduling down to work on ward 3B. Every time those Vets came in they found me and hugged me. Again watching the group drindling away from the effects of Agent Orange. Years later after I was no longer working at Mtbs. Va I read in the paper where they were getting benefits. I was so happy for them but sad for the many that had lost their lives because of Agent Orange. Many of man that had children after they had come into contact with Agent Orange. The children had terrible health problems. So sad :(
HODA I keep in my email files all my passwords for all the different accts I have makes it easier and I also have them written down on the back of a notebook
WOW ON THE NEWS FBI said more that a half million people bought guns 6 days before Christmas Most were not hunting guns they also added that background checks 30,ooo in one day was a record broke the record
LOLLY the wiing action I did capture it on the second video posted on FB and the blog and Youtube That is what I thought also but Belle said NO Way it looked like
Franklin Graham was just on the news and said his father is doing well now. YAY. Love Billy Graham. Franklin was very amusing saying "we are not voting for a pastor in chief...we are voting for a commander in chief." LOL. He seems more and more like his father every day.
Lori: Forgive me, I keep forgetting to take the Tug Toy to Pringles... but Pringles kind of jumped up on my legs last night very affectionately, and wanted some lovins' so I think he is ready for a Treat from Lori via Magpie !
LYNN so very sad about the park ranger. The man who shot her is an Iraq war vetren and he was suffering from PTSD...he was found dead...such a tragedy in whatever angle you look at it.
LOLLY wow I am amazed about your friend Harriet she seems like a strong will woman Kudos to her tell her BE STRONG Livestrong Postive thinking can help they say and she has most definetely a strong attitude from what you say and I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers I see that now it says that but earler it didn't and it was logged three times as is the Martinsburg, West Virginia is now posted two times on therand Hoda is listed twice tooo odd huh are you all twins
I think everytime I bring up the page to read it shows me on the map...I have the window open and other windows too...so I work on one and then go back and it shows me on the map.
I use to sew all the time I made Angies cloths as she was growing up and I made some for my son also I had them in matching outfits a cow print one year I use to love to sew, crochet and knit and macrame
Having your machine suddenly not sewing properly can be a puzzle when you can't find out what the problem is.
It sounds like you have done a good job of maintaining the machine.
I am sure that the problem is tension balance between and upper and lower tension assemblies.
The first thing I would suggest is to completely re-thread the machine.
First I would suggest that if you have any waxed dental floss to take a piece about a foot long and run the waxed dental floss through the upper tension discs with the presser foot down. This will clear out any build up in the discs and lubricate the upper tension discs.
Set the upper tension to the 3-4 setting.
Now take the upper thread off the spool and with the cut in the spool thread keeper the opposite from the feed direction and go through the first thread guide.
Then take the thread down through the upper thread guide, down and around the take up spring,(make sure the take up spring is working) up to and through the take up lever and down to the lower thread guide and the needle thread guide and last through the needle.
Next lets go to the bobbin case and check the bobbin case for any lint build in the case.
Remove the bobbin from the bobbin case and use some of the waxed dental floss and run it through the tension spring on the bobbin case to make sure there is no build in that area. Also check the interior of the bobbin case for lint build up. Re-install the bobbin in the case and check for proper tension.
Hang onto the thread with one hand and yoyo the thread with the bobbin case hanging and with the weight of the bobbin case it should move down about 2 to 3 inches for the proper bobbin thread tension. If the tension is too tight or to loose adjust the tension screw to achieve the proper tension.
Since you have already cleaned the shuttle area, re-install the bobbin case with the bobbin into the shuttle and test sew.
If this does not correct the problem please use the link to give further information and will be glad to help you further.
I know some of this is the same as you would have done but I have found it is easy to miss what the problem is an if you start from scratch you will generally resolve the issue.
Posted on FB Steve's fish from yesterday (not his biggest Small mouth after all, but a Big Un just the same) AND a surprise he FORGOT to tell me about!
Well I am going to go get ready to go to yoga...it seems odd to be going this time of the evening, but my body is ready to do some yoga poses...it will be interesting to me to see the average age of the people there. I am sure I will be the oldest...I hope no one is with dyed bright blue or bright pink hair...I think this will be a challenge for me...I am used to the tatoos and the nose, eyebrow and lip rings because many of the young in Nelson have them...the dyed hair still shocks me!!! LOL !!! I will let you all know how it is when I come back... please wish me luck...
Challenger Eagle Please tune into the 2012 Fiesta Bowl on ESPN at 8:15 pm eastern time to see Challenger soar across the field during the National Anthem!!
sorry you missed the blood donation PAULA. I wished I could do it...I had hepatitus when I was five years old from bad water in Egypt and therefore I can not give blood. It is a worthy cause...
where you thread the needle above it should be a dial that is where the thread is threading around I wish I could see your machine it would help
When you thread the machine it goes around the thing that is the tension part of the thread going down the bobbin also as a small screw on it make sure when you pull on the bobbin thread its is taunt not loose I hope this helps and I say again we need telephone with viewing OK Skype what ever it is would help Good luck Lynn I wish I lived close
WV DANA what is the context of your statement about what Steve CHase said over a year ago and where did he say it? The context to such a statement is important for me to understand what you are saying. Thanks
Hey guys Steve is on facebook you could just ask him A while back I ask him about the cell phone tower eagles and the radiation from the towers he answered me right back so wouldn't hurt
Well all I am heading for the rocker Neck says step away from the puter and the chair I wonder if a lap top would be better or worse any opinions out there (as if I could afford it LOL)
Thanks for the prayers DanaWV. He is home, weak and not eating, but at least he is home. Not sure if he will continue with chemo. I will know more at the end of the week.
Shutting down the computer. Catch everyone in the morning.
Hoda I can't remember where the nest was. A juvie had come back to the nest. It stayed a little while. Steve said the parents would chase it away. I rmember in some forum they said the juvie was chased away by the parents.
So if one of ours say would have came back to the nest. Say like the next year. Belle and Liberty at the time would not let it stay there. They would chase it away so it could go out on its own. As to the way nature and God arranged them to do.
Congratulations on 53 years of marriage. Wow!! You are just the perfect couple!!
Lynn - So sorry you have to go through all of this and end up sick, from all the medication and treatments, too. Glad you finally feel a little better. How much longer do you have to go through this?
Sharon - My heart goes out to Kris' family and friends like you who are mourning his departure from this life, but happy he is now with Jesus and suffering no more. He had such a tough road and it sounded as though he handled it with such grace. May peace be with you and his family during this sad time.
Margy - Great to see the Kidster and Pringles pictures. Thanks for sharing!
Have been busy cleaning out closets here and trying to figure out how to synchronize all these darn computer devices in our house, too!! What a challenge!
NCSuzan - Happy New Year and great to see you!
Jo - Are you feeling any better yet? Sorry your tummy is mad at you, too. Hope it isn't anything too serious.
Thanks, Dana and JudyE....will see what I can do. I DO have waxed floss, so will take it down with me. Bet it's easier to thread thru' the needle than thread is! I have my white index card, too, to hold behind the needle!!
Oh Lolly, If only I could take away some of Lynn's discomfort, I surely would! I just ate an ice cream sandwich and it didn't help one bit... I can't get very interested in any movies on TV this evening. They gave up on Christmas too soon.
Lynn and Jo, I do hope you both will feel better. Try and rest, please.
Did not see Challenger - Boo!
The sandperson is beginning to make noises that suggest it will soon be time for the pillows.
The night light is set to come on at 11:00pm for anyone who is headed back the hallway, down the stairs to the tub, up the stairs to bed, or may stumble in late from the West coast. May everyone enjoy restful sleep in preparation for a bright tomorrow.
WHOO HOO!!!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU! Adjusted the tension and ran the floss through the whole threading system........my coat is FIXED!!!!! After 2 weeks of angst over the stooopid thing, finally done!! Thanks, Judy, Dana and Lori!!!!
Now to mend a pair of Christie's uniform slacks....and then I can close 'er up!
Isn't it wonderful having friends helping friends---even from afar???!!!
Linda, 28 rad treatments, with the oral chemo running the length of that time. Barring any weather problems, and assuming that they will probably be closed for Martin Luther King holiday....I SHOULD finish on Feb. 1st. Of course, a drop in blood counts could extend it further.......had that happen twice the last time....but it was a much longer time overall----7 months.
Well Hallelujah Hedgie.... Way to Stay on the Task !!
Jo - I am so pleased that the one television music channel I am listening to continues to play beautiful Christmas music, and I have Handel's Messiah in the Car !!
The church that James and I visited, St. Vincent de Paul, in Berkeley Springs, is beautifully decorated. James was fascinated with the Manger scenes, especially the animals, and the Shepherd with his Staff....
Audubon Clock is chirping Tufted Tit Mouse, it's Ten o'clock...time for greeting the Sandman if he's willing to split his time between here and Judie's
Prayers for Wellness, Precious Pals, and for all needs of the heart, soul, body and spirit
God Bless This Nest, and God Bless Us, Every One xoxo ♥
All done. Machine is put away until the next job! I, too, used to sew a lot. Made my own maternity clothes, made the girls clothes for years, and made all the curtains for the Ponderosa--23 windows worth!!! And one pair for here. Just haven't done anything but mending for SO many years that I lost my touch. My Grams taught me well.....but age has taken it's toll!
Almost Nighty-Night time. Just shampooed the do. Got a couple nails to repaint. ☺
I had trouble getting Eaglecam blog page to open. Just showed a brown page w/the birds flying at top~~~no text. Finally it appeared. DUH Wanted to check if there was a new 2012 album, but couldn't get there. Oh well. If kitties are asleep, I'll be able to open Xmas closet & stash what goes there. I tried putting my little Norfolk Pine on mantle, but one animal got up there & the other was attempting! So it's back on china cabinet. If I can't return, want to wish all hitting the hay Pleasant Feather Dreams & prayers for good health & appts! ;>)
Well I am back. In this night class everything moves so much faster!!! I managed alright and was very happy about it all.
LYNN thank you for BOB QUIN"s link...Amazing bonding practice...I think Belle would have a long way before Shep could do that!!! WOW!!!
LYNN I am so happy your coat is fixed and you were fixing something for Christie also. it is awesome how it worked that there were those who knew what you wanted and shared and here you are you took it all in and YOU did it. I LOVE OUR BLOG.
THANKS DANAWV for the explanation of the context...I understand that to be true. I appreciate it.
No young people with dyed hair nor young people with facial rings. Young atheletic looking people and I was the oldest...I was a bit nervous when it was me and the twenty to thirty something guys...I wondered how strenuous is this going to be...four other women showed up and I felt myself thinking this will be manageable...It was because I stayed with it and modified some of the poses and it is strange to be in the studio doing yoga when it is dark outside but it was delightful to push my limits and exert beyond my usual effort and speed of doing things. I stayed very aware that I would not do any movements that would hurt my back and it was actually fun... I have a lot of energy now and I will go get a cup of tea... I wonder if this will keep me up late...IT IS SO VERY AWESOME TO GO A LITTLE BIT BEYOND MY PRECONCEIVED NOTIONS OF WHAT I CAN NOT DO...
JUDIE was here and she set the night light and security systems. I would like it for ANDY to check in too it has been a few days now...going on to a week I think.
Lynn, I used to sew a lot more also...made some shorts and shirts for the boys...curtains, ornaments, tree skirt, costumes, etc. I usually sew to mend as well. My Mom really sewed a lot! Wish I had kept her Pfaff.
LYNN, if all goes well, I will gladly dance for you on the 4th of July! It has been 3 years since we have danced together...and then, it was very slowly and carefully:( I have been wondering if I will be able to run when my knee is healed. Gene and I used to jog up to the church on the hill, but haven't been able to do that for about 5 years. I am so excited to see what all I will be able to do!
GOOD NIGHT DEAR FRIENDS SLEEP WELL...DREAM SWEETLY PRAYERS FOR YOU ALL
Lynn, love your avatar. There was another one I liked but can't remember who it belonged to. Where do you find them?
Have been keeping company with jimbo on his days off so don't get here until he goes to bed.
Then again, I got a BN Nook Tablet for Christmas and when Teresa was here she showed me how to use it. I downloaded the book everyone was talking about - The Help. So at times I may be reading. Sorry I don't know hwo to do italics, blue or underlines on here. Help please.
Prayers for all illnesses, aches, and bodily troubles for those people requested and for our own momsters and dadsters.
A lot of seamstresses on here! I used to sew all the time too. I started sewing in high school. Made all my clothes and made my wedding dress. Then I made all of Laurel's little clothes. Never sewed a lot for Michael. Made him one little suit that was cute. My sewing has gradually gone away. Now I mend for Laurel and make the burp rags as gifts. Did sew some curtains and costumes. Last costume I made was for Jacob when he was born. Made an infant Ragedy Andy costume. I should scan that picture and show you! It is priceless!
I am heading to the shower. Here I am up late once again, but I get to reading and don't put my book down. This is the third book in the last week. Crazy!
Today: A slight chance of snow showers before 7am, then a chance for flurries before ending. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 29. Blustery, with wind between 14 and 20 mph. Chance of precip is 20%.
Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 15! West wind between 5 and 15 mph.
G☺☺D M☼RNING, gLORI ! Seems like all is well when I hear you n' Loo talking and laughing. A great way to start the day.
What an amazing place this is ! If you need a solution, a recipe, some good advice, just let us know. I was so inpressed with LYNN's sewing machine problem and the way, with Momster's helping, she fixed it !
20° here right now. Brrrrr. More snow fell overnight, but less than an inch on the ground. I guess this is the weather system that is headed toward the nest. However, within a few days the temps are heading back up to the 40's. Yeah ! I need to run a couple of errands this afternoon, but the roads should be clear by then.
NBG to have sound this year ! They've resisted for so long, saying the airport is too close. Hearing the eagles chat and come and go adds so much to the enjoyment !
Morning Kay & Lori ( and DMo and Judy who I know will be here soon)! Kay, thanks for the new set of "tips." Some of these I'd heard of. Others were pretty strange!
Here is the "official" site, which I've now added to my Favorites. It says Daddy Norfolk and his new mate have been doing early morning and late afternoon nestorations at the 2011 nest. Glad to hear it. It saves money when the camera won't need to be moved.
Oops, neighbor Puggle, Kobe, hears 97.1 FM and is barking at my door. That has to delight the two late sleepers in our set of 4 condos.☺ I have the volume low and am betting her master can't hear what her acute hearing reveals to her.
LORI, I object to that answer ! Peanut butter has always been a traditional breakfast food in my opinion. Diabetics are told to eat toast w/PB if they have no time to eat anything else. My stepson, Stuart, has never eaten anything but PB on his waffles. I just had P/B and Strawberry (no sugar)jam on toast and coffee ! I do not eat pizza for breakfast, but know many who do---now that's non-traditional !

VISIT WAS 4:58 TO 5:13 --
15 MINUTES TOTAL VISIT.
HODA, our timing was pretty close.
Awesome Avatar, Lynn !!!
Hello more Eagle Watching Pals...
hope those birds cozy up together against the cold tonight !!!
Hoda, the main highway that takes me to Paradise runs through the town where Blackwater is located.... I can turn off of it and be at Blackwater in 15 minutes
I did get to see Shep just before he took off!
And the same wishes back to you Suzan....
Good to see you...
xoxo ♥
I need to add dates, etc. to my captures for 2012.
Got one string of lights (100) untangled from the Charlie Brown tree! One to go!
Realized I won't be deprived of all Xmas Decos, as I still have the Norfolk pine & a live greens centerpiece we got as a present. Might put them on the mantle, away from kitty jump area!! Xmas lives!
BBL--din din heating~~~
My delete in the eagle report section. It posted the same comment twice. He seemed very awkward to me this MR. SHEP...what is up with that?
Good News, Loretta.... that you will most likely be able to stay at "The Farm!"
Happy New Year that would be !!!
I took pictures and will go put them on the EM Photo Album
Thanks LORI for telling me what time they came in.
LOL
Sorry to hear about queasy tummies ! We need to put a ban on those, just as we have on Momster stumbles/falls. Feel better soon, LYNN and JO !
I had wondered about Blackwater and where it was located in comparison to paradise. Cool! You really need to visit!
Bob, we look forward to seeing your pictures.
Margy, love the James and Mr Pringles shot! Sometimes I call Nick, "Mr Nick" or "Nick Nick"
Maybe Jo is having sympathy tummy problems for Lynn.
Getting ready to head out of here, going to try and donate some blood. Catch ya later!
Suzan, good to see you checking in. Same wishes back to you!
And let's wish that all internet problems will take a hike!
Hoda, I will make sure to post link to Bob's pics when he gets them up...unless Jo beats me to the punch!!
Paula....Paradise is all winterized, right?? Where will you stay?
Michael and
Ash gave her the microwave and we gave her the little refrig.
Prayers for Harriet LOLLY.
LYNN thank you for the link to BOB's pictures when he posts them. I will look forward to seeing them. You are a GEM.
Hoda-I am praying that nature takes it's course and he pulls his act together. I want eggs!
She would so love to be a stay at home mommy, so we do what we can. Not all schools allow that in a classroom, but this school does. She is in the basement on an old school, so this will definitely help! She is having a good year and that is great! She finds the underprivileged more appreciative and sweeter.
Must have been a visit with 116 comments to read

Have determined that it is the needle thread that is bunching up under the fabric, and not the bobbin thread......don't know what to do.....try changing needles? Any sewers have advice?
No advice from me, I never did figure out what was wrong with my machine.
I found a nice song to put with the lst video song I usually pick classical or easy listening instrumental no words because I don't recognize any artist Youtube has but I love this one
Sorry, Lynn, no advice from me. My sewing maching will not wind the bobbin. Guess I am going to have to take it in.
Grrrrr! So frustrating!
I see Bob popped in HI BOB still reading gonna go watch some news before I continue my neck is bothering me did something stupid at work I shouldn't have That what I get huh
thanks Margy for the link to ISS I thought I saved in fav but can't find it also can't find the snowman cam
Lolly, Prayers for your friend, Harriet...and your neighbor lady, and for Christie's neighbor man...knew a fellow once, very active in EMS, was in the service for Desert Storm...his health was ruined from Agent Orange, though the "powers that be" didn't ever acknowledge that was the cause....last I heard anyway
...not fair, just not fair...
ISS was BRIGHT - right on schedule, but dodged into and out of the clouds
Bright as Venus! Which is in the South, SouthWest...though I think the clouds just gobbled it up also
Moon and Jupiter, though somewhat shrouded by gauzy clouds, cozied up nicely together tonight ☺
Love your avatar, JudyE!
I watch Snowman cam often....only recently started seeing some whitetails on there! And saw the snow that Lynne2 mentioned...
a few years ago, we saw a BEAR on that rather often as well, so I keep watching for that !
We used to see Whitetails at Snowman cam often also...
guess things change from year to year

The Full Wolf Moon !
Judy
Falling Waters, might be DanaWV..
sometimes I show up in Rochester New York!
Falling Waters is about 7 miles from me...
sometimes 7 mi south of here, "Inwood, WV" and sometimes, Martinsburg WV...
guess I travel around a lot ☺
The park ranger killed by a criminal in Mount Ranier NAtional Park over the weekend used to work at our local C&O Canal National Park. Too bad...she has two young children, and her husband is also a ranger.
Tighten the tension of the thread that feeds in to the needle that is why it bunches up
Better Luck with this rescue, hopefully
I used an expletive, and deleted it...
Very tragic, Lynn....about the park ranger...Prayers going up for the families involved....
Judy
site meter shows me in Martinsburg now
headed for a long, hot tubby soak...
early bedtime tonight seems very inviting and quite likely...
Wonder how our Anniversary L♥vebirds are spending their Special Day ? ?
Hoping, Praying, that our ailments here will go away quickly....
(( Hugs ♥ )) ttfn xoxox
Kay is can just see Malcolm snoozing with that tug and the tassles in his mouth lol
Lynn sorry about Christie's neighbor man. Agent Orange is no walk in the park. I had to bring
the vets into Martinsburg Va Center and use the questionaire they had provided me. The man said the questionaire was set up so they
good not get any benefits. So I wrote in what they told me. I was the forms were sent back and I had to recall the Vets in and do
the forms right. I recalled them in. Again these men telling me their stories and we lost a few
during the re-interviewing. I again wrote what the Vets told me. The 3rd time they came to me and said you did it again. You can't write stuff in. It is either yes or no. So you have to recall the Vets in and this time only mark yes or no. I told them I didn't care if they knocked me down a grade. I would NOT call them back in. You do it or get someone
else. I was sent from scheduling down to work on ward 3B. Every time those Vets came in they found me and hugged me. Again watching
the group drindling away from the effects of Agent Orange. Years later after I was no longer working at Mtbs. Va I read in
the paper where they were getting benefits. I was so happy for them but sad for the many that had lost their lives because of Agent Orange. Many of man that had children after they had come into contact with Agent Orange. The children had terrible health problems. So sad :(
LYNN, as JudyE said, tighten the tension on the needle thread...that's what everything I read said, too.
AWWW KAY sweet story about the dogs loving their toys ♥☺♥
LOLLY the wiing action I did capture it on the second video posted on FB and the blog and Youtube That is what I thought also but Belle said NO Way it looked like
Franklin Graham was just on the news and said his father is doing well now. YAY. Love Billy Graham. Franklin was very amusing saying "we are not voting for a pastor in chief...we are voting for a commander in chief." LOL. He seems more and more like his father every day.
Lori:
Forgive me, I keep forgetting to take the Tug Toy to Pringles...
but Pringles kind of jumped up on my legs last night very affectionately, and wanted some lovins' so I think he is ready for a Treat from Lori via Magpie !
LYNN so very sad about the park ranger. The man who shot her is an Iraq war vetren and he was suffering from PTSD...he was found dead...such a tragedy in whatever angle you look at it.
Jack is building a fire and cornbread is in the oven. There are some nice things in the winter!
LOLLY wow I am amazed about your friend Harriet she seems like a strong will woman Kudos to her tell her BE STRONG Livestrong
Postive thinking can help they say and she has most definetely a strong attitude from what you say and I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers
I see that now it says that but earler it didn't and it was logged three times as is the
Martinsburg, West Virginia is now posted two times on therand Hoda is listed twice tooo odd huh are you all twins
Don't know Lynn if this link will help you or not:
Troubleshoot Sewing Machine Problems
I think everytime I bring up the page to read it shows me on the map...I have the window open and other windows too...so I work on one and then go back and it shows me on the map.
I use to sew all the time I made Angies cloths as she was growing up and I made some for my son also I had them in matching outfits a cow print one year I use to love to sew, crochet and knit and macrame
Lynn also found this:Thank you for your question.
I know some of this is the same as you would have done but I have found it is easy to miss what the problem is an if you start from scratch you will generally resolve the issue.
evening all!
From FB
Challenger Eagle
Please tune into the 2012 Fiesta Bowl on ESPN at 8:15 pm eastern time to see Challenger soar across the field during the National Anthem!!
well I guess the national red cross didn't know the local red cross was closing up shop at 5pm today...will have to try another time to give blood
sorry you missed the blood donation PAULA. I wished I could do it...I had hepatitus when I was five years old from bad water in Egypt and therefore I can not give blood. It is a worthy cause...
Thanks, JudyE---I'll try that if I can figure out how!!!
Sofa time for Jeopardy. BBL.
where you thread the needle above it should be a dial that is where the thread is threading around I wish I could see your machine it would help
Jerry posted this on facebook and I just had to bring aboard
Challenger
Thanks Paula for the Chaellenger time.
DanaMo keeping your Uncle Carmine in prayer.
Sharon in reading the back comments I see where Kris from Austrila has made his
journey to Heaven. Prayers for his wife, relatives and friends.
Steve Chase spoke over a year ago about Juvie eagles coming back to the nest. He said Mom and Dad
would have to finally chase them away.
Oh Hoda I just read your comment about another avalanche. Very sad there was a fatality. God
be with his/her family and friends.
Wanda and Gene wishing you SWEETHEARTS a very special and a cozy HAPPY ANNIVERSARY ♥♥
Hmmm an article on the NBG nest says they will have sound this year!
Friends of Blackwater posted Bob pic on the feed
Stopping by.
Will have the Fiesta Bowl on just to see Challenger fly.
DanoMo, prayers for uncle Carmine and prayers of peace for the family of Kris, Sharon, and for Christie's neighbor, and for the avalanche victims.
Safe travels Paula. Stay warm.
Phoebe Allen has a clutch.
Headed to my chair to wait for Challenger.
BBL
Good evening folks. Hope everyone has had a good day.
Headed to recliner to eat some nice hot soup.
I wonder if we will get to see Challenger...
Happy Anniversary to an extremely special couple, Wanda and Gene.

No Challenger flyover, the Rose Bowl ran late :(
Oh Lolly, If only I could take away some of Lynn's discomfort, I surely would! I just ate an ice cream sandwich and it didn't help one bit...
I can't get very interested in any movies on TV this evening. They gave up on Christmas too soon.
At least four deets at Snowman cam
Paula - were they afraid to let Challenger fly at night or in all those
blinding lights and afraid of an injury?
Jo, he probably flew, but the prior game ran late...they pretty much went right to the kickoff on the coverage of the game.
It was an inside stadium.
Do you see any snow mobilers, Judie???
Lynn and Jo, I do hope you both will feel better. Try and rest, please.
Did not see Challenger - Boo!
The sandperson is beginning to make noises that suggest it will soon be time for the pillows.
The night light is set to come on at 11:00pm for anyone who is headed back the hallway, down the stairs to the tub, up the stairs to bed, or may stumble in late from the West coast. May everyone enjoy restful sleep in preparation for a bright tomorrow.
No snow mobilers -- just the deets. Good night, Jo. Sleep well.
I watched for Challenger and saw that they went straight to the game. Wish TV coverage would cover more than the game. LOL
And using the white index card behind the needle made threading it a breeze---think Wanda shared that one!! Thanks, gal!
BTW----how did you and Gene celebrate your special day? You better get your dancing shoes ready! We expect to see you dancing come the 4th of July!!
HODA----here's FB link to Bob's pics, which isn't the format that I usually see them in.......
Bob's pics
Hoda When you return:
I'm quite certain you were the Hippest Yoga-ite at the Class !!
Audubon Clock is chirping Tufted Tit Mouse, it's Ten o'clock...time for greeting the Sandman if he's willing to split his time between here and Judie's
Prayers for Wellness, Precious Pals, and for all needs of the heart, soul, body and spirit
God Bless This Nest, and
God Bless Us, Every One
xoxo ♥
Jo, PLEASE see the doctor soon. I'm worried about you. :(
Judie is being held hostage by that darn sandperson.....and I don't like it.
Margy, has James been raised in the church? Or is this all a new experience to him? Can you get him into Catechism classes if he hasn't yet??
If anyone braves the outdoors and the skies are clear, check out Jupiter snuggled near to the Moon
Good Night, Eagle Pals xoxo
My Goodness! Lots of deer at Snowman Cam, and Lots of Snow!
Including....dustings on the Deer
Deets at snowmancam
Thanks, Margy for mentioning the Snowman cam. Have not been there in a long while.
Think I am going to put my nose in a book.
I will be back to say good night.
Night
If I can't return, want to wish all hitting the hay Pleasant Feather Dreams & prayers for good health & appts! ;>)
Lynn - I think I remember you saying you do four days a week for radiation, so that is why it is taking almost 2 months, correct?
Another month?? Ugh....you poor thing. Let's pray those blood counts stay HIGH and you stay healthy for the next 30 days.
Praying for you, Lynn.
Hoping JO is feeling better this evening, too.
We are heading to bed.
Prayers for all.......... xoxo
Night ♥
Time to get Liesl to bed, and then my bath, and then paint my nails. Going to go ahead and say goodnight. Early morning rising in store. :(
God bless all those here, their kith and kin....Peace.
P.S. Linda, normally M-F, but holidays have messed it up.
Loretta, there is a 2012 album ready!! Jo took care of that!
TaTa.
I am ready to take advantage of our
night light and head back the hallway.
Everyone STAY WARM tomorrow.
Good Night My Loved ones
Prayers for all of you, your family and
friends.....
Hugs to all ♥♥♥♥♥♥
Good night Jo, hope you feel better tomorrow!
Good night. See you tomorrow.
It is time to call it quits.
THANK YOU ALL, MY SPECIAL FRIENDS FOR YOUR ANNIVERSARY GREETINGS AND WISHES. I AM SO GRATEFUL FOR HAVING 53 YEARS WITH CAPT. GENE...WE HAVE BEEN BLESSED...AND WE ARE BLESSED TO HAVE YOU ALL IN OUR LIVES FOR THE PAST 5 YEARS. YOU ARE THE BEST!!♥
LYNN, if all goes well, I will gladly dance for you on the 4th of July! It has been 3 years since we have danced together...and then, it was very slowly and carefully:(
I have been wondering if I will be able to run when my knee is healed. Gene and I used to jog up to the church on the hill, but haven't been able to do that for about 5 years. I am so excited to see what all I will be able to do!
GOOD NIGHT DEAR FRIENDS
SLEEP WELL...DREAM SWEETLY
PRAYERS FOR YOU ALL
Goodnight, I think I will sign off too. I miss ANDY comimg in late from California.
Sweet dreams and GOD BLESS.
Checking in late - as usual.
Sleep tight. God bless.
Crazy!
Night all! Sweet dreams!
TUESDAY NEST WEATHER
Today: A slight chance of snow showers before 7am, then a chance for flurries before ending. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 29. Blustery, with wind between 14 and 20 mph. Chance of precip is 20%.
Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 15! West wind between 5 and 15 mph.
SUNRISE TODAY: 7:31 am
SUNSET TONIGHT: 4:58 pm
Kay, I'm so excited NBG will have sound... does anyone know which nest they'll be using this year, or have they built another new one?
Good Morning, Sandi!
Hi SANDI ! Many of the hints I have date back a while, but I'm sending em' anyway.
LORI, perhaps LYNN will know which nest the NBG pair has zeroed in on. On their site there isn't an explanation I could find.
SPLIT coming up in about 20 posts.
Here is the "official" site, which I've now added to my Favorites. It says Daddy Norfolk and his new mate have been doing early morning and late afternoon nestorations at the 2011 nest. Glad to hear it. It saves money when the camera won't need to be moved.
NBG Nest
Thanks Kay! Just haven't been over there in a long time.
Oops, neighbor Puggle, Kobe, hears 97.1 FM and is barking at my door. That has to delight the two late sleepers in our set of 4 condos.☺ I have the volume low and am betting her master can't hear what her acute hearing reveals to her.
PIZZA !
Nah. Sorry Kay. It's peanut butter.
LOL!
Brr, good cold morning to everyone out there.
Good Morning, SHIRLEY !
Good Morning, Shirley! It is a chilly one today! Wind chill is 18 now in DC.
Alright, Kay, you're the winner! We'll go see La Cage together! :)
Don't I wish ! ♥♥♥
How do you like my cheery avatar ? Ain't that a pistil ? Yellow hibiscus, how sweet it is !
