Morning all. I've managed to watch this whole visit. I've dressed and eaten my fried mush. also being lazy today we have snow--just a bit and wind. I want to go shopping for a case for my Christmas present, a Kindle Fire. Guess I'll wait for the weather to be better, maybe tomorrow.
It's been understated, as many of the last several years have been. Just time spent with family, eating (too much) good food. Just trying to limp along to 2012 and try to start anew.
SHIRLEY, I made the correction on my copy of LYNN's cheat sheet and re-sent the Ohio piece. Others need to make that correction, putting in the middle initial "h".
Wow, I don't see snow, but the wind is horrendous. I'm betting it's easier to ride out a stiff wind sitting in the nest rather than up on a tree branch.
Remember last Spring when Belle could hardly turn her back on Shep lest he jump her for awkward attempts at HP ? I did, as Lori said, see HP recently when, unfortunately, I was all alone here. I know from the NBG pair that HP gets to be frequent as time goes on and that most of it doesn't occur in the nest, but on branches. At NBG there is a limb they call The Love Branch and due to camera placement much of their HP can be seen. I don't think we have to worry about Mother Nature and biology taking over and providing Shep with the right instinct for HP. Just as it does for our human teenagers, right or wrong ! ☺ Parenting ? Remains to be seen. I know from watching so many nests that all eagles are not created equal. Some are better parents than others for sure !
Times like this, I wish I had a laptop so I could carry it around the house while I do my thing and still watch the nest! Next computer WILL be a laptop but my desktop is not that old; it would be wasteful to get a new computer. And so, here I sit!!
SANDI, you have company ! I've been up for hours, have been here, then lurking while reading my on line and hard copy newspapers, dealt with e-mail, worked four newspaper puzzles, had breakfast.....and I'm still in my pajamas ! Feeling kind of slobbish, so guess I should shower and get dressed. I know from my years of nest watching that this will happen for me all too often as the eagles frequent the nest and then brood, etc..
Wow, over 2 hours on the nest! Now, before either one returns, I'm gettin' outta this chair!! BTW, Bella seems much improved this AM. Now will come the hard part, keeping her quiet when she's starting to feel like her old self! Later all!!
What a long and great visit. You know you have it bad when you sit for an hour watching a bird sitting in a nest doing nothing! But oh, what a magnificent bird to watch!
@Wanda - You can tell your doctor about the fear of throwing up after the surgery. Ask him to please already have it written if you need nausea medication it is already written on there. HE can go ahead and do that.
I always tell my doctor to have a standing order for compazine or some other nausea medication already written in the chart before I go under, I know how much my body hates anesthesia.
Lori, I have just started reading the latest Nora Roberts book The Next Always. Santa put it in my stocking. It takes place in Boonsboro where she owns the inn. Shepardstown is also mentioned. Not heavy reading and always a happy ending.♥
Oh my I seen where Mema Jo's left thigh is hurting her. Ed had to give her 2 Advile before he left for dentist. She had to use the walker .....PRAYERS PRAYERS PRAYERS.
COME ON OVER TO THE NEW THREAD...LOTS OF ROOM THERE:)!!!!!! *********************************** **********************************************************************
Oh my goodness I seen reading back this morning. Where Judy's friend Janet has made us proud by visiting the blog. Welcome Welcome Janet!!!!! Nice to meet you. Maybe one day we will meet in person. Please join us more on here. We all at one time or another was just watching. So HAPPY you commented.
Oh my DanaMo when I make a meatloaf Ed loved it. Now when I make one I take some into Mother. It is gone in no timelol So I guess from some I make a good meatloaf.
That pan they have been showing on tv. I laugh every time I see that. Like the drippings aren't going to touch the bottom of the meatlaof. lol
I check mind several times and drain into a bowl then put back into oven.
Back from the Doctors and grossery story. Hope I did better with my shopping after fessing up all my dietary sins. Got my meter working again, apparently, my strips were bad. Well, guess it's time to start following the rules again.
Well now the dealership where Daughters boyfriend brought car. Wants them to bring it in on Thursday and leave it for a couple of days. This is not a "new" but new to him car 1984 I think. It had all the papers showing when oil changes and timing belt. One owner. High mileage but still plenty of miles can be put on it. The engine light kept coming on the first day as they were driving home. Call dealership turned around and they said they fixed it. It has happened a 2nd time. This dealership is 2 1/2 hrs away from them. Of course they have bills have to have money for gas for work. They are trying to figure out how he will get to work while they have the car. Lord please help them get the problem resolved with this car. The something sensor that they replaced also has to do with the other problem it is having. They tried to tell Daughter no that sensor has nothing to do with it being had to start. She already knows from going online that it does. That is why they have to leave car for a couple of days. Lord I ask that you please go in an make the dealership fix the problems and John and car doesn't have to return or have problem. In Thy Name I Pray Amen.

Gonna hit the couch and "morn" my junk food!
Paula I just read your comment about NCTC having motorized scooters. I did not know they did. Or last year I would have been able to get one and stay.
