Hello to all on this Monday AM. A bit dreary again....
Lori----question! What is an 80K-cup box of coffee? 80,000??? #'s or $?? LOL!!
The 7 o'clock spot has been popular with the little birds, Lori. This morning a nuthatch was there for quite a while, and whatever I saw yesterday that had a yellow breast was in the same spot....now that I've been able to compare it to the nuthatch and know that it's that size, I'm pretty sure it was a warbler.
DanaMo---is your pool inground or above? What kind of ducks did you have visit? Hope they left before they graced your water with any poop shoots!
Since Navy Seals made the great kill, makes sense that a burial at sea, too. And that way no one will be sworn to secrecy as to location of a grave! Bet this is the most cheered death since Hitler!!!
Megan, feeling so bad for you. It seems like there's never a happy weather medium for gardeners, farmers and orchardists anymore. And if it's not the weather, it's the stinkbugs.
Wanda--I'm with you on the leaves...not for gardening purposes here, but for appearance...and to cut down on the bugs. Hate that as much time as I put in on them in the fall and they still end up re-blowing back around structures during the winter---not a lot but too much! I want to get new mulch in and can't do that until the leaves are moved!
How much fun to watch Liesl! Does she give lots of kisses?
Lynn, forgot to tell you that for a second time recently we heard a GHO. Only this time we heard an answering hoot. It is so thrilling. Love having an open house to hear this. Closed windows and ceiling fan block out the bird sounds at night.
Yep, Paula, got that now! Guess I didn't stay up listening late enough!!!! So it may have actually been the 1st over there when they executed the kill! Haven't read anything yet with an hourly timeline.
Shirley, Rus was a brave soul to venture out in that crowd last night! Always possible that things like that could have gone the other way----protestors rather than celebrants!
OMG OMG! So excited! I was eating breakfast and kept seeing a red bellied woodpecker eating at the birdseed because the suet cake was gone. So, got a suet cake and was on my way out when I looked out and there on the feeder was an Indigo Bunting!!!!!! Have never seen one. So strange to see a brilliant blue colored bird at the feeder. Jack and I had to get the bird book to id it. Wow!
Phoebe's 2nd chick wasn't doing too well after it was returned to the nest, so they took it to a bird rehabber, and it is at least eating a little and passing the poop a little too.
Home for lunch I had a conversation with my market manager about the incident at Walmart and he wants to apologize for that rude customer He said apprently she was off her meds for sure
Hedgie-The thing on the cat collar say Mew right Ok she fits right in as a mewbie LOL just a thought and I have an idea for the cheat cheat How about putting the date that they came on this blog Just a thought this was we can see who as been around for awhile Back to reading I'm trying my dardest to keep up with the reading without killing my neck My I still get confused who is who and who is on first base LOL Ok BBL Hope all has a good day and I realized i missed up yesterday with the SSCC said club instead of cyber OOPs sorry now I know better I just could think what the other c was for now I know
Lolly - We just saw a red headed woodpecker on our suet for the first time, ever about 10 minutes ago. We occasionally see one in the yard, but never of the feeders. First it was on the regular feeder that had black oil sunflower seeds and then next time it was on the suet.
Greetings from north Alabama. We are finally home and everything is just fine here. I'm not even going to try to catch up on the blog. Treat me as a newbee. lol It sure is good to be home though.
Good Morning, Everyone! Dropping in for just a bit. I am frustrated with a few of the folks at my school. I had been told that the person "overseeing" my Externship was the Dean of Admissions. Never have gotten a phone call from him, or even a "hello" while passing by him in the hall. He used to be all over the school, in the halls, popping into classrooms, in his office, etc., but lately has been nowhere to be seen. (He had apparently taken over the job that was previously done by "R.", who is the Director of all the medical classes at the school.)
Well, last Thursday I got a call from a young fellow who is the Assistant of both the Dean of Admissions and "R.". He wanted to know whether I would be available this week for an interview at a transcription service, regarding my Externship. I suggested Monday (today). He did not have the name, address, or phone number of the person I would be seeing, and said he would call me on Friday with the details and a time. I never got a call or a phone message on Friday, so I called Friday and left a message for him. This assistant finally called me back this morning, and said that actually "R." was supposed to have called me on Friday. He apologized for the mix-up. He did have the address of the transcription service, but only a first name for the person I am supposed to see, and he didn't know how to spell her name. He asked if I would go there to pick up some transcription tapes--didn't mention an interview. I told him, "Sorry, I'm a bit confused--is this an appt. for an interview?" He said that well, yes, she would want to talk to me, but it was mainly to go pick up transcription tapes to transcribe at home. I asked whether I would need to purchase new equipment, because for the school transcription I use a CD and a foot pedal with my computer. He didn't know. I asked when my appt. was with the lady at the transcription service--"Anytime today after about 2 hours from now." Geesh! Guess I'd better print up a resume and a cover letter, Mapquest directions to the place (the Assistant had no idea how to get there), get myself "beautified", and hit the road running.
Please, if you are prompted to, say some prayers that this all works out!
I was expecting to do ON-SITE transcription for my Externship (thus no problems with the equipment needed), and I was told that the school would PLACE me at a transcription service to get the on-site Externship completed--no INTERVIEW mentioned! Please say a prayer for my jangled nerves! I don't know what to think at this point! I will dress for a job interview, just in case! (Don't want to show up in jeans and flip-flops!)
Shirley, I don't blame you for having a biopsy right away--HATE having to wait to hear results! Praying for a good outcome. Reassuring that they say a 90% probability that all is OK, but praying anyway. Don't really trust most doctors...DO trust in the Divine Physician!! ((((HUGS))))!!!
Andy - Praying for you and your nerves this afternoon. I'm sure you'll do just fine, but totally understand how this could make one a bit frazzled!! Will be thinking about you this afternoon. Deep breaths!!
Jack saw the bird again! Grrrr! Anyway, leaving now...going to eat a quick bite of lunch and then heading to the theatre. It's a good day to do this. Going in Jack's truck so if hail hits my car is not out in it.
Prayers for Andy Gosh i do think that to some degree our newer generation/s way of doing things techie like, is losing the art of personal communication. Everyone thinks someone else told the machine to take care of it etc etc. Does that sense. Well anyway prayers for Andy and her transcription interview/test or whatever with whomever and wherever mapquest sends her.
Shirley - Prayers for you ... Did you tell the doc that there CANNOT be anything wrong ... that you are retiring, healthy & that's all there is to it! :)
Sending good thoughts your way, too.
LYNN - LOL - 80 K-cup meant that I bought a box of 80 "K" cups for my Keuring Coffee Maker. ROTFL! Not, 80 thousand coffee cups or $80! My fault. I probably didn't get a space in there.
Hi Lori - Nice to see you in the afternoon. I always enjoy reading your early morning posts, but getting up at that hour could quite possibly kill me!!! LOL
I popped in to make sure KAY-IM was okay and I see where she checked in on the old thread. I'm so relieved. Your (BIG HUG) for you Kay! You scared the doo-doo outta me.
PA-Lynn - beautiful Clematis avatar! I've got 2 new varities that didn't bloom last yr but are growing crazy this year. I'm so excited to see them. OH, and congrats on the PSF!
ANDY - how could anyone not fall in love with you immediately? I'm sure you'll do great today and get a job offer. Extra biscuits for Emma, please. :)
Just want to say how sorry I am that our Megan is having such a lousy season so far. Sure hope the weather improves for her.
Glad Phoebe's babe was moved. It did not look as if it were responding yesterday when I checked.
Now for my good news: I GRADUATED THIS MORNING! See the surgeon on Thursday and unless he thinks otherwise, my therapist says we have done all we can. I still cannot go down stairs normally because I have not, and may never, regain full flexibility in the ankle. But, I have made lots of progress over the past 5 1/2 months. As Jo says WhooHoo!
Lynn, glad you had another good night with Liesl. I think you've found a match!
Congrats, Judie!! Wish you could have gained full flexibility in that ankle, but sometimes things just don't work out that way. Continued prayers for further healing....
What a good Mom you are SHARON! And how fun to be out cruising around when you can travel and take a nap (comfortably) at the same time. My parents have a motor home and love it.
Shirley -Don't let them make you wait 2 wks for results. They truly get them back very fast. Waiting is the hardest part. Sometimes they forget how crazy waiting can make someone.
The radiologist may not recover from today's experience.
After talking with me awhile about what I should do, he asked me if there has been any history of breast cancer in my family.
I said, "Yes, I have had breast cancer. And my mother had breast cancer." He said that he should have read the information more carefully before he talked to me and then he said, "That is why there is only a mammogram of one breast."
After he left, the tech said that she had told him about my history and that he must have not been listening. Later, she told me that he asked her if I thought he was an idiot.
Yeah, Judie, he looks like a kid.
When I had breast cancer, I went through enough trouble. I was still involved in a fight with my ex, and I had to fire my first surgeon because he was incompetent, so incompetent that he later made the news.
I don't have a motor home but I sure would love to take a nap. I live in Bedford and have to travel about 4 1/2 hours to get to Andrew. Hate that part of it. It may be working out within the next few months that I move back to Bluefield. More will be revealed. I am a medical transcriptionist so I work on my computer. Wherever I have wifi, I can work. Love that.
Oh, SHIRLEY, I'm glad they're taking care of you so quickly. I didn't know you had it before. Have you thought about going into DC at GW or somewhere with a great record and maybe a more seasoned doc? :) Prayers and positive thoughts for you.
Rus's FB comment about having gone to the event in front of the White House last night:
Just for the record: last night in front of the White House I saw people of every single race, creed, and color. There were Muslim women wearing Hijabs, and there were Hispanic Americans shouting "¡Estados Unidos arriba!" Everyone there was united in celebration as Americans. E Plurbus Unum!
Lori - Nice chatting with you as well. Will look for your clematis avatar. We have some beautiful ones in the summer as well. We actually had one that didn't do too well last year. Will be interesting to see if it comes back this year.
Sharon - You do sound like you're in for a busy year next year. Wonderful that you can travel or move if the opportunity arises! I know you were so proud of his performance a couple weeks ago and it sounded so awesome! It's nice to have mature sons that you can be proud of!! Andrew has a GREAT Mom!!
We're now up to 4 male rose breasted gross beaks at the feeders!!! The fourth one is still turning from his winter markings and resembles a female with the exception of the rose breast.
So interesting how they change. They actually stayed longer than usual last year and we watch as the male molted and looked almost identical to the female before they headed south.
Linda - That's a pretty bird. I'm learning some much here! Just having to look up other birds all the time is fascinating. I really just learn from my yard and books.
BTW: bummer note. My Pileated WP nest is not a P-WP nest this year. They make new nest holes every year and I saw two squirrels going in that hole over the weekend. But I also saw the Pilated 3 more times and got a few pics during one of those visits.
I'll save the good news about my Turkey Buzzard Nest for later!
That would be awesome to have a pileated woodpecker nest. If I knew how to post pictures or start a blog, I would post the pics my husband took of the red headed woodpecker at our feeder this afternoon. They were awesome!
We see the pileated woodpeckers around the edges of the property in the woods, but not too close. They're so big!!
I just love how my husband starts making bread and FORGETS the fact that it is rising and needs to be watched.
He's the bread maker, not me!! I have no clue what to do. Of course, he has to go WAY out on the property and I have to go find him when the timer goes off......like right now!!
I do love the fresh bread, but I don't NEED it (no pun intended) and I don't like chasing him down when he forgets.....
I'm trying to work and blog!! I do have MY priorities!! LOL
Good afternoon buds!! Great day for a celebration huh? I am at the school waiting on Mattie. Wonder if they talked about Bin Laden today. Lord I hope so!!
Good Afternoon to Everyone in Eagleland! Hope Andy makes her meeting w/out too much trouble. Has there been a trouble w/communication??LOL Congrats, Judie!!! Almost done w/rehab! You're a good student!!Perhaps over time, ankle will get for flexible.Be careful on stairs--keep that night light on! Shirley, glad you can get biopsy over and done with so quickly. I'm praying and know it will be OK. Last one I had few years ago, surgeon called w/results that afternoon!!! Shocking--I love him! Luv Rus' crowd report & Sissy's fb comment!! Been watching a lot of that on TV this AM.
LINDA - to start your own blog and post your pics, just click on your name after you post something, then on that page click on the orange "B" icon and it'll say there towards the top something about creating your own blog. Lots of us have done it. Intimidating to think about but it's easy and fun.
With all I have to do at my desk, I'm afraid I'll never get caught up. It seems I'm easily distracted by eagles and keeping up with this blog. Adding pictures and the like would just take more time!!
Maybe a little later, when I feel a bit more caught up!
Gosh I pop in to make sure Kay has checked in and is okay and 3 hours later, I'm still here! I need to watch the news so I'll jump off now.
Prayers for you Shirley!
Kay I'm so glad you're okay.
Lynn give belly scratches to Leisl.
Andy what happened at the appointment/interview?
Linda - post those red headed WP pics. I'd love to see them. That is one gorgeous bird.
Love to Megan and her flowers, Paula, Jo, Margy, Wanda and her chicken dinner at the church, Lynne, Loretta, Lolly, DanaMo, Judie, JudyE, Hoda and all!
Bless this nest and all the wonderful people who make up this awesome family!
Comments, Part II! Glad to see Red & Mrs. Red are home. Hope there is no more bad weather anywhere & especially for Megan's flowers!! Looks like Lynn & Liesl are getting along well! We have both cats sleeping on our bed pretty close together. That is kind of rare--they're usually far apart. Make you smile even if they aren't doing anything. Lolly, how wonderfil to have an indigo bunting! Hope he hands around for you. I used to see them flying across the road near Park, but not up close. Finally, one landed in a tree when I was walking on marsh boardwalk & I got the one and only pic I have!
That is really cool, Lolly, that you all had an indigo!!! Aren't they lovely??!!
Poor Phoebe's baby...hope it makes it.
Aw, JudyE...that was a very nice gesture to talk to your manager about Lynne's ordeal. I hope that he would relay it to the manager of the store where it occurred.
Maybe someday I'll have time to add dates, JudyE....but it'll be awhile. THey are in a basic chronological order, tho', with oldest being first and newbies last!!
Shirlkey, heavy duty prayers going up right away.....I'm thinking positively!! But glad that they are proceeding quickkly to lessen your anxiety. Need to keep reading to see if you know when yet. HUGS!!
Hey, Red, good that you and Diane are back in your abode!! I'm sure it feels good---there's no place like home!
Praying for you, Andy!!! For some reason, I thought the externship would be postponed since you opted for an additional quarter. Lots of confusion, huh??? Typical "right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing"---so frustrating.
One of my students gave this to me today. She said the Beanie Baby's name is "American" but she renamed it "Liberty" and told me it was mine to keep. How sweet is that!
Judie, congrats on finishing PT!! More free time---and less gas to use!! And stay positive---you may yet gain more flexion with time! It really can take a lot longer!
Just took a loaf of fresh bread out of the oven.....if someone would like to come take it OUT of here!! My husband says he supports me in wanting to lose weight and he BAKES BREAD!! Some support that is!
The tech apologized and asked me if I wanted to see him again. I did not. I just commented that I expect he will not make that mistake again. Tech was very nice.
Reminded me of a friend I have who went to see a doctor. She was pregnant with twins and the doctor did not realize that until he had chided her because of the amount of weight she had gained. One twin weighed over 7 pounds and the other over 8 pounds when they were born.
Lori, you are so sweet to be concerned. Sorry to Worty you when all I did was over sleep ! Thanks for my hug ! Here's 1 for you ! {{{{{Lori}}}}}
{{{{{Shirley}}}}}, actually glad the thing was found early and that you've scheduled the biopy ASAP. You're on my prayer list !
{{{{{Judie}}}}}, you deserve a hug as well. Sorry you may not regain full range of motion, but am glad you graduated from therapy !
{{{{{DanaMo}}}}}, I thought of you this morning as you returned to school. I do so appreciate all you teachers and the job you do for kids, our future hope ! "Liberty" is oh, so cute and that little girl, oh, so sweet !
I know, Shirley!! It really is wonderful that he enjoys making bread and he even likes to cook. He is a great guy.......but he isn't good for my weight. I have NO willpower!!
Okay----I have pics downloaded from camera....but something is very wrong with puter....I can't open a picture from the picture file---it opens them only in Word and it's just all ASCII. WTH???? Guess I'm gonna have to talk to the computer nerd. Anyway, I was able to get them in another program, so will get them on my blog now!
Lynn, as my friends in Minnesota would say, Oh for cute !!!! I love the second one with her looking up at you. She already has that "I love you" look in her eye !
LOL I was posting on Lynn's blog when the ant walked across the cam two times. So funny! First time I thought "what was that?" Second time could tell it was an ant, very detailed. roflmbo Much better that Spidey!
Thanks for nice comments about my new girl! She is getting more and more accustomed to a new place....doing more exploring---she was playing hide and seek in the office while I was posting the pics!! She has barked at the flag blowing in the breeze today, as well as at the washing machine!
Lynn- Liesl is SO adorable! I just love puppies. Guess that's why I have 3 labs now! I have an inground pool, and the ducks were mallards. I think there was either a fight going on or some HP! LOL! IN MY POOL! Thank goodness no poop that I am aware of. Prayers for Andrea for your externship. I hate when people don't follow through. It's so frustrating when you do your part and others don't. Yes the little girl in my class who gave me the eagle is very sweet. I actually have an adorable class this year. I wish I could loop with them. And I found out today one is not coming back for first grade next year, which is so disappointing. I feel so much responsibility to keep students in our school by giving them a good first year. Enrollment is a real issue at our school right now with the economy the way it is, my principal is very worried every time we have someone decide not to come back.Thankfully the mom expressed satisfaction with kindergarten, but has looked it other schools for future. Possibly going to a private school in Frederick. Costs twice as much as St. Mary's. Sometimes I just not sure what we can do any different or better...
Hi Shirley. Sorry you have to go through the biopsy but I have no doubt that the results will be negative. Positive thoughts coming your way. I'll be out of school so if you need me for anything, please give a yell. Personally, I am beginning to think white coats should not be awarded until after 25 years of experience and age 60.
Welcome back to your home, Red. Glad all everything is okay.
Andy, sorry I was here sooner to help smooth your jangled nerves so I hope by the time you get to this you will have successfully mastered the situation and will begin your externship.
Sharon, enjoy the concerts.
Thanks for the good words and for the hug KayIM. Therapist said 50-50 chance.
Have regular birds, sparrows, house finches, red headed woodpeckers, piliated woodpeckers, twohees, robins, hooded titmouse. Nothing really exotic. Sigh!
Okay, to the kitchen I go. Linda, I have stuffed pork chops if you bring the fresh bread.
Lolly, glad you are habby. I know you really needed some rain.
DanaMo - sometimes my students bring me presents but nothing as cute as your eagle gift. I usually get empty bottles of Jack Daniels (it's a standing joke with my students).
It's time to make the 'DONUTS'(supper) so just a brief look see.
Before I forget ... Judie, congrats. FYI - It took about a year after my rehab before I got (almost) full range when I had my shoulder replacement. So, don't give up you'll continue to increase your step. Just don't try to dance just yet.
Shirley, prayers for a good outcome in your health and the possible job.
Wish we had another acre...in the sun. Would love to have a vegetable garden. We used to have one in back, but the trees have grown the 38 years we have been here and now we have too much shade.
Got Liesl's front toenails clipped. Think I'll wait til tomorrow to do the back. She did well, but a little harder to do the back when I have her on my lap. Think I''ll have SIL and his bro here tomorrow to take down some more dead trees, so will one of them to hold her and it will get done lickety-split!
MariaYep the were there this am and and last night I posted last nights visit 3m long on facebook my link is on my profile if you have facebook and want to friend request me to see it Shirley you will be in my thoughts and prayers for your biopsy 90 degrees out right now not to bad humidity is down I was shocked to hear it was 90 we have a cold front comin in Wed high will be 86 LOL some cold front with rain Back to News Later
Shirley - You right so just Git it done. Peace of mine for you. Prayers for quick procedure and fantastic results. I like what Lori told you about You're retiring Healthy!
Lolly to see a blue bunting must be pure joy! And also a red headed woodpecker!
Congratulations Judie! Proud of you and we both can go step by step 'down' the stairs and we'll always get where we're going!
Lori - this morning I had 97.1 on as I went up the road and again when I came back down the road. I was moving to your tunes!
DanaMo - I almost stopped at your class today around 1:30 coming down W.Wash.St. I was so happy to see all of the painted Hot Air Balloons along the way. One year it was butterflies. I think Martinsburg also had butterflies once. Having grown up in Hgstwn the stores have changed down toward the square but it's still home to me.
Just posted a link on fb. Remember the burp cloths I made for a baby gift? Well, Rhyan's photo has been entered in a pic contest. Need votes! She is a beautiful baby...complete with dimples!
Hi, Everyone, Well, I'm back from my "job interview." It turned out NOT to be one. They sent me (all dressed up) to a house in Fountain Valley, and the lady there has a medical transcription business, but isn't hiring at ALL. She gave me 2 milk crates full of binders with transcription tapes and transcription keys. They are "On loan to the school--no hurry." I need to call the school and find out exactly what they want me to do. As far as I can tell, from what the lady said in a rambling manner, I'm supposed to transcribe them, and turn the transcription in to the school as part of my Externship, keeping a careful time record of what I'm doing. However, she also mentioned that I need to copy the cassette tapes onto mini cassettes. The lady was nice, but not at ALL dressed for a business interview (barefoot, too!). She is a "cat lady," with a one-eyed mama Burmese with 2 adorable 5-week-old kittens, a brown tabby outside cat, a tiny "attack" Chihuahua, and who knows what other kinds of critters. I was even more confused after leaving there than I was this morning! She did tell me about a meeting of medical transcriptionists that's on 5/14. She said she probably won't be there, but encouraged me to go to it, and "join up." She said that med. transcription is EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to get into as a field. All I can say is, this has been one of the weirdest days of my life!
Thank you for all the prayers--they are MUCH appreciated! Please keep praying, that all the confusion will straighten out! Lord help me, I am STILL mumbling to myself!
That "Assistant" who called me didn't know this lady's last name, or even how to spell her first name! VERY unprofessional! (I think they need to hire ME to replace the guy!) MTBR, I guess. Now to try to catch up with the blog.... :o]
MairaIf you go down my profile on FB I have quite a few video just hit share to put on your profile if you want or just tag yourself No problem Ok back to the news I heard the email chime in is why I came back to the computer BBL I have to get so much of a new fix on a daily basis otherwise I can't survive LOL
Congratulations Paula...Baby Robins. Stronghunter I put you in my prayers with all the test and wish you well. I appreciated hearing from all of you on the blog...still very much taken by President Obama's speech from last night and what it all means...God Bless The United States of America and all who live in it.
Maria I tagged all the video that I have this way you won't have to go through the whole profile of mine I have lots of stuff on it you can untag yourself if you want just thought this would be easier They don't post on your wall that must be the way you have it set up your page they are under your photos and I couldn't do wall to wall either BBL

Looks like no one is here yet!
I'll go over and see if anyone knows the new thread is up!
Linda, thanks for the heads up on the new thread:)
Looks like everyone is having brunch or taking a Panda nap:)
I'm outta here, too. Need to go to church and set out chicken to thaw. Should have done that yesterday, but forgot:(
See you later!
Have a great day, Wanda!!
I've got plenty here to keep me busy!!
Still cam is working now, thanks NCTC!!
Lynn, I think that Obama gave the order to go in for Bin Laden this past Friday...not a week ago.

Liesl had a good night again. One new toy I gave her this morning kept her occupied for 30 mins!
Time for another trip out for the little one. BBL.
Oh---just heard that the Navy Seals were out of Naval Air Station Oceana in Virginia Beach!
Rain continues and we are loving it. Outside our kitchen window it is running down our flagstone path like a dry river bed. ☺
Sissy had this on FB:
~~England, we will see your wedding and raise you a funeral.~~
Love it!!!
Got some good pics of Liesl. Will download and upload during her next nap!

Weather's kind of cool yet, BUT it's supposed to HEAT UP today to almost 90°!

This is Military Appreciation Month! I salute them all! And thank them for all their sacrifice.
USA! USA!
OMG OMG! Wow!
Waiting to see your pictures, Lynn.
Phoebe's 2nd chick wasn't doing too well after it was returned to the nest, so they took it to a bird rehabber, and it is at least eating a little and passing the poop a little too.
C(°ٿ°)D Jim
Home for lunch I had a conversation with my market manager about the incident at Walmart and he wants to apologize for that rude customer He said apprently she was off her meds for sure

Hi
Waiting for radiologist. Just saw Bette, my bridge buddy.
Lolly - We just saw a red headed woodpecker on our suet for the first time, ever about 10 minutes ago. We occasionally see one in the yard, but never of the feeders. First it was on the regular feeder that had black oil sunflower seeds and then next time it was on the suet.
How exciting!
Things are pprobobly ok, but they are scheduling a biopsy.
and to think Lolly that just last night you were saying you had never seen one, and WOW, Indigo Bunting at your feeder!
New info on shuttle don't expect till next Sun UPDATE on SPACE SHUTTLE Back to work I go BBL
Glad they got the little hummer to the rehabber Jim. Hope it didn't sustain any injury from the fall.
JudyE, tell your manager thanks!
they found something to BIOPSY Shirley???? Prayers that it's just a cyst....
wow Linda, I've never seen a Red Headed Woodpecker! On my birding bucket list...LOL!
Shirley - Hang in there. It's still scary when they want to do anything extra as a "precaution." Praying that all will be ok!!
My poor Lonely Boy Bluebird is out there singing and twitching his feathers....no mate in sight yet....
I decided to do biopsy ASAP. Want to get it over with.
90 percent probability that everything is ok.
Twitchy feathers, hmmm.
Yes, do it right away. Yes, more than likely nothing, but you worry anyway. Been there, done that.(((hugs)))
Yes, isn't it wild, Lynne? I thought, OMG, is this a blessing or what? LOL
Jack spotted the Indigo Bunting at the feeder again, but he flew before I could get there. Have my camera ready.
Shirley All will be ok but it sure is good to knoww that you know. I would have scheduled it right away too. hugs and prayers for you.
Welcome home Red. Sweet Home Alabama!!!!!
Shirley,
I don't blame you for having a biopsy right away--HATE having to wait to hear results! Praying for a good outcome. Reassuring that they say a 90% probability that all is OK, but praying anyway. Don't really trust most doctors...DO trust in the Divine Physician!! ((((HUGS))))!!!
Lolly, WOW!!! An Indigo Bunting!!! That's fantastic! Hope you can get a picture! :o]
OK, gotta run. Will check back in later.
BBL
So glad Liesl and Lynn are doing so well.
Hello Sharon! Are you still RVing?
Home again.
I will have to try to catch up later on.
Thanks, Lori!! I can use all the facials I can get!! Who knows, it might be one of the best out there! We may have to patent it!
Made an appointment for the biopsy on Friday. I will get Kathryn to go with me.
I did some thinking and, although they would have waited until school is out, decided I did not want to wait that long.
I am home now.
Congrats, Judie!! Wish you could have gained full flexibility in that ankle, but sometimes things just don't work out that way. Continued prayers for further healing....
I am in Scott Depot, WV with my boy until Wednesday. He has a choir concert tonight and tomorrow night is Wind Ensemble.
Glad you're home, Shirley, and that you didn't wait until after school is out.
They said they would have the results in 3 days. I have an appointment for Wednesday after the biopsy on Friday.
Love that.
Just called Kathryn and asked her to go with me on Friday.
Glad you are getting this done Shirley. Early detection is the key for sure.
Sharon - Is your son in college or is this his profession?
Last time I had a biopsy, Rus went with me. He did fine, but I know it was hard on him. I am glad that I can get Kathryn to go this time.
Oh, SHIRLEY, I'm glad they're taking care of you so quickly.
I didn't know you had it before. Have you thought about going into DC at GW or somewhere with a great record and maybe a more seasoned doc? :) Prayers and positive thoughts for you.
Sharon you lucky lady, being able to work anywhere. And, you've got that wonderful son.
Lori, I thought about this before and asked some friends I have in the medical profession. They thought I would be okay here then.
This was when I decided to fire the first doctor. I say that I made the decision on my own, but I did consult some friends.
There are advantages to having someone close by when you need medical treatment.
Taking it one step at a time.
Judie congrats on your rehab success story. 5 1/2 months is along time - longer than a semester.
PA-Lynn LINDA - So nice chatting with you today. Keep an eye out for my clematis avatar. :)
Yes, Shirley, one step at a time.
Mammogram. Biopsy. Clean bill of health. Retirement!
Andrew is in college. His major is music education and will graduate fall 2012, after getting married in June 2012. Gonna be a busy year.
Sharon that's so great - isn't that how it's supposed to go. Gosh, did you get lucky ...& his fiance.
Yes, Judie, congratulations on your graduation.
I think I might fall asleep here in the recliner. I stayed up kind of late last night. It was an eventful evening.
Has anyone heard about getting DNA from the eagle some think is Liberty?
Paula mentioned it would be great if they could do that at least to see if it's male or female, though Steve said the size was indicative of a male.
I do think it's our Lib - though I wish otherwise. I didn't know if I missed something on the blog or no one knows anything.
Take a nap Shirley. I'll wake you when it's time for dinner. :)
I had wondered the same thing, Lori. And, to carry it a step further, Lib's DNA has to be all over the nest, including in the unhatched egg there.
Excellent point Shirley!
We can confirm 2 females so far.....
LOL
BRB
Good afternoon buds!! Great day for a celebration huh? I am at the school waiting on Mattie. Wonder if they talked about Bin Laden today. Lord I hope so!!
Good Afternoon to Everyone in Eagleland!
Hope Andy makes her meeting w/out too much trouble. Has there been a trouble w/communication??LOL
Congrats, Judie!!!
Hope everyone is having a good day!!
It is a good day for celebration, Sissy!!
Hope you're having a good day as well!
LINDA - to start your own blog and post your pics, just click on your name after you post something, then on that page click on the orange "B" icon and it'll say there towards the top something about creating your own blog. Lots of us have done it. Intimidating to think about but it's easy and fun.
Thanks Lori for the info on starting a blog.
With all I have to do at my desk, I'm afraid I'll never get caught up. It seems I'm easily distracted by eagles and keeping up with this blog. Adding pictures and the like would just take more time!!
Maybe a little later, when I feel a bit more caught up!
Thanks again.... ♥♥♥
I think I tried once to stary t a blog, but didn't know what to call it and what to put for a url??
Linda has Red Headed Woodpeckers???
Lore has a TURKEY VULTURE NEST???
Linda - you don't need a URL doing it through here. It's blogspot.com/your name here or whatever you want to call it.
Leaving now, for real! ♥
Thanks again, Lori!!
P.S. I know how to spell, just can't type!
Loretta - That just means your fingers can't keep up with your brilliant mind!!
Lilly Grace is racing around her paddock like a filly possessed!
One of my students gave this to me today. She said the Beanie Baby's name is "American" but she renamed it "Liberty" and told me it was mine to keep. How sweet is that!
Lori, thanks for explaining your coffee buy!!
Sharon---did I miss something??? An RV to go see Andrew??
Hope you can record the concert!
Shirley, glad that the biopsy will be so soon! Don;t blame you a bit. Get it over with!! Needle or incision???
Yes, Lynne - That filly can RUN!! She does looked a bit possessed when she runs around!! She sure is looking healthy!!
Needle. I have done this before. It is not much fun.
Okay, Shar---I gotcha!
Shirley, YES, HE WAS AN IDIOT and you should have told him so!! Unbelievable!!
Ok, Lori----give it up----a turkey buzzard nest at your place??? Ugly!!
LOL, gals----I have lots of red-headed woodpeckers---want some? They also do a real number on my trees.
There must be plenty of turkey buzzard nests around here. There are plenty of turkey buzzards.
Linda, how big is your place? Hang a dinner gong!!!
Lori, you are so sweet to be concerned. Sorry to Worty you when all I did was over sleep ! Thanks for my hug ! Here's 1 for you !
{{{{{Lori}}}}}
Aw, DanaMo---how sweet!!! Love it!!
Noticed a stuffed eagle furry n one of the front windows at Sandra's house when I went by Sat.!
11.5 Acres - Lynn. He was just over in the field getting his garden ready for planting. It wasn't much of a walk. I'm just being a brat!!
At least he realized it, Lynn. I will give him some credit for that.
I love fresh bread, Linda!
You got a bread-baking man. Count your blessings, Lady.
I know, Shirley!! It really is wonderful that he enjoys making bread and he even likes to cook. He is a great guy.......but he isn't good for my weight. I have NO willpower!!
Lori, I don't know if they are going to DNA the eagle or not...I did mention it to Steve.
Okay---pics are on my blog!!!
Lynn, as my friends in Minnesota would say, Oh for cute !!!! I love the second one with her looking up at you. She already has that "I love you" look in her eye !
Oh Lynn.....she is just adorable!!!
I hope she brings you much JOY!!
BBL.
LOL a giant ant just crawled across lens on camera it look enormous
LOL I was posting on Lynn's blog when the ant walked across the cam two times. So funny! First time I thought "what was that?" Second time could tell it was an ant, very detailed. roflmbo Much better that Spidey!
Lynn - Liesl is so cute! Thanks for posting the pics. I can't wait to meet her. Extra biscuits from Auntie Lori tonight! ♥
Thanks for nice comments about my new girl! She is getting more and more accustomed to a new place....doing more exploring---she was playing hide and seek in the office while I was posting the pics!! She has barked at the flag blowing in the breeze today, as well as at the washing machine!
so glad someone else saw the ant it was so big I had seen some small one on the tree limb earlier
Oh, and we are home from the movie. We saw Water for Elephants. It was good, we enjoyed it, but once again, not as good as the book.
Judie...congratulations on your graduation. You just keep up your exercises at home and maybe you will gain more flexibility.
We are now up to a total of 2 1/2 inches of rain and it looks like it is about to end. I am "habby!"
BBL
Well, doing a Margy.
Lolly, glad you are habby. I know you really needed some rain.
DanaMo - sometimes my students bring me presents but nothing as cute as your eagle gift. I usually get empty bottles of Jack Daniels (it's a standing joke with my students).
Okay, really headed for the kitchen.
Judie...that sounds like a story...hmmmm
I strongly disagree with you, Judie. A piliated woodpecker is exotic!!!!
Hi everyone.
Shirley, prayers for a good outcome in your health and the possible job.
... bbl
Love your little "Liberty", Dana. That is very special!
Sounds great, Judie.....I'm on my way!!!
Linda, that's a good bit to tend to! I'm sure it keeps him busy during most of the year.
Wish my 2 acres was bigger! Used to have 50 at my old place.
Dinner almost ready (leftovers)...would you believe that Christie and I both fixed the same thing last evening?? And we never talked once all day!
Hi everyone. Haven't been on since Friday. Have Belle and Truder been around at all?
Wish we had another acre...in the sun. Would love to have a vegetable garden. We used to have one in back, but the trees have grown the 38 years we have been here and now we have too much shade.
Got Liesl's front toenails clipped. Think I'll wait til tomorrow to do the back. She did well, but a little harder to do the back when I have her on my lap. Think I''ll have SIL and his bro here tomorrow to take down some more dead trees, so will one of them to hold her and it will get done lickety-split!
I believe they were here this morning, very early. Did not see them myself.
An ant on OUR cam lens?? Gee, I sure missed that!
Looks like we are going to get dumped on here......Hope it moves AWAY from Megan's area.
The ant looked like a huge black ant...squirrel size. LOL
Diann, it's Andy with the job prospect, and Shirley with retirement!!!
What was the interactive weather website someone posted the other day. I thought I had bookmarked it, but I can't find it. Anyone know?
oops! meant Andy's job. That's what happens when I skim.
Lynn, that puppy is adorable!
back to supper
Maria, hope you had a nice weekend. The birds have been making daily+ appearances, but not always on schedule!!
MariaYep the were there this am and and last night I posted last nights visit 3m long on facebook my link is on my profile if you have facebook and want to friend request me to see it
Shirley you will be in my thoughts and prayers for your biopsy

Back to News Later
DanaMo...think Lynne posted it----thought I had it, too, but don't find it!
I will go get the weather link and send just a few min ok
Shirley - You right so just Git it done. Peace of mine for you.
Prayers for quick procedure and fantastic results. I like what Lori
told you about You're retiring
Healthy!
Lolly to see a blue bunting must be pure joy! And also a red headed woodpecker!
Congratulations Judie! Proud of you and we both can go step by step 'down' the stairs and we'll
always get where we're going!
Lori - this morning I had 97.1 on
as I went up the road and again when I came back down the road. I
was moving to your tunes!
DanaMo - I almost stopped at your
class today around 1:30 coming down W.Wash.St. I was so happy to
see all of the painted Hot Air Balloons along the way. One year it was butterflies. I think Martinsburg also had butterflies once. Having grown up in Hgstwn the stores have changed down toward the square but it's still
home to me.
Interactive weather you'll have to reasign your own zip code or just use your cursor to move map
We could all get 2 umbrellas each and go over to Megan's & protect
the flowers! Hurry all you locals
Linda - your avatar - Is that the Harrisburg falcon. Only one hatch
this year?
Lacey and Lilly are in the stable now.
Thanks guys! Judy I sent you a friend request! Thanks! :)
Looks like the 3 Norfolk Botanical Gardens eaglets are doing great in their new home. :)
Just posted a link on fb. Remember the burp cloths I made for a baby gift? Well, Rhyan's photo has been entered in a pic contest. Need votes! She is a beautiful baby...complete with dimples!
Hi, Everyone,
Well, I'm back from my "job interview." It turned out NOT to be one.

Watching the news, ABC. They did it on children born after 911, children of daddys killed. Tears running down my face.
Baby robins already - great! I think robins only have one clutch.
Not sure. Is this robin at the same place as last year in your
