Good Morning - I am waiting for the sun to appear. The moon last night was really bright. I was hoping for that 3rd egg to be here - I guess today is the day. Margy without her internet explains why we didn't hear from her yesterday Lynn I hope you feel better as the day goes on. All of you early morning commentators - Thank you so much for watching over the nest! I always read as soon as I open the blog and feel like I haven't missed anything.
I really am going to have to make that road trip. Need to put faces to names and will have a nest full of eagles by then. And to whoever was worried, too early for ticks hahaha
Good news about the Daytona for you and Carolyn, Lynn... one small problem...she has to come to work tonight !! Guess she'll get her bank of sleep in early.... please tell her the a/c-system at work is still in other on the fritz so we are pulling in cooler outside air
Thanks JO ☺ I can bring the nest up at work and blog a little... so as early morning daylight was approaching I was trying to watch, and work, and watch, and work
ROFL After all these years of watching this nest, BEagle I can't agree or disagree as to which is on the nest. I will only say that the one on the nest now could just happen to be the egg layer! lol
Morning Margy, Jo, BEagle, Susan, Lynn, MEGGan, Glo and all!
Yes, I'm the tick hater. Had one burrowed on my back this summer and it itched for months after I got it out. Little freaky have something move under your skin! YIKES!
Hedgie you are funny! B.O.- bad breath...guess everyone was just getting situated...
once in awhile I have saved ticks that were removed from me...in case I developed something, it could be analyzed, but have had no problems that I know of...yet
Eagle canes are wooden canes that have the eagle's head for the handle.
Ticks - I hate! Memories are of going through 5 kids' hair combing looking for ticks! I don't like that on myself I may miss seeing one like on my back area..........
Lori - If 3 of us say Belle and the other 2 watching say Lib - We settle for Belle!
Their length is what I look for - Belle is longer and Lib is the shorter. I also look at the white tail feathers as I think Belle's are longer and more visible. If they are facing you, Belle has a "v" shape on the neck feathers. It is still a guessing game for me.. Paula seems to have a trained eye...
Kindergarten Valentine's parties are interesting! I always had a love/hate feeling about it. First off the delivery of valentines is a problem. Some children can read the names and others can not. I encouraged leaving names off the envelopes. There were always parents who did not follow directions. Then I had to read every name on their Valentines. When they get their Valentines it is so cute. They want you to read their Valentines to them. Usually there are enough parents present to help with this. The children are sooo excited!
James and I crafted his Valentine's Card box the other night, a lot of shiny gold, heart and flag stickers...and his name, on a glorified Shoe Box ! I can't go to the party on Monday....started on-call at midnight this morning... :(
Lolly this group had bags decorated by each child. Like you say addressing the valentines isn't necessary - they just dropped the cards into the bags and the valentines were signed. Worked well.
Yes, I am here! Just had a phone call. Need to prepare a meal for a friend coming home from the hospital. I am going to cook a meat...probably chicken...and pick up some fresh fruit.
Lolly - I am sure you, and many other teachers of young children...have had many frustrating and downright heartbreaking moments with things like this...
God Bless You and all Teachers for What you do and have done for our precious children....
Love you guys gotta find the pillows now... live feed just shut down on me also...guess that is a sign... xoxo
My class always made construction paper mail trucks decorated with hearts that I taped to the back of their chairs. Children could take turns delivering the valentines chair to chair. But if names are on the valentines it is so confusing! Or sometimes the parents would write in cursive...grrrrrr! Or even worse, they would write the names the children could read and leave the rest blank. grrrrr!
Note home to parents always said "If your child can read ALL names you may put names on the valentines, but if they can NOT read ALL names please leave ALL blank." Duh!
Kathryn and Hunter have had valentine card issues today. She went to quite a lot of trouble to get the names of kids in his class and left him to write them on the cards. He signed them, then left the names off.
Also, he did not bring the materials for his project (that is now due on Monday) home. Kathryn had taken him to the library for books and is now out buying the supplies he needs.
This is the project she wanted to work on last weekend when he did not bring home the assignment information, either. His philosophy is that he does not have homework on weekends, so he doesn't need to bring the folder with assignments.
He said that he thought she had gathered all of the information and kept it at home. Oh dear. He is supposed to document his sources, but we do not know what method he is to use. I figure some method is better than no method.
I even found a source that will do the documentation, (but he says that the teacher said that you can only use the one she gave them which he does not have! to use the Oh, good grief. A kid believes that no method is better than one different from what the teacher says.
I do not think Kathryn appreciated it too much when I said I remembered going through some of the same homework issues with her that she is now going through with Hunter.
Time for Kathryn to have a teacher conference with Hunter's best interest at heart. If he slides too far it will take forever to get him back on track.
As far as the Valentine cards it may not matter about the missing address - it depends on how they are delivered.
Margy, glad you got cam up! Told Carolyn about the A/C. She is heading for bed about 1 and then get up at 7 to watch race before coming to work. Luckily, this race is not hours and hours long!
BEagle....if you want an eagle cane of your own, the gift shop at NCTC has them (you can have it shipped) or check Cracker Barrel....they had some heavy-duty ones for awhile. I have one of each!
Luckily, we only had the SEVERE tick problem on one visit.....they were even all over the road!! Poor Lori was freaked! Of course, my first adventure with you all, T-bird's Buddy brought some into the Eagle Express! Remember him and those hot dogs??? ROLF about that!!
I wouldn't worry about how the cards are addressed either Strong.
It's funny how kids interpret their homework assignments. But why would a teacher only allow one reference from her? Is that a way to keep parents from helping their children?
Still looks like Lib in the nest. The same eagle can look different when they turn, with the sunlight and cloudiness as well, makes their feathers look different
Maybe so, Jo. I hope we can put this project together this weekend. Kathryn and Hunter have a couple of phone calls in to see if someone else has the information.
Hunter started off with all A's this year. He needs to be better organized and more involved in keeping up with his assignments.
Going to leave for a while. Need to fix myself, get beautiful so to speak, then I have to get to church. Duty calls! Have a job there today. Also, Jack and I have to move our plants back to the green house. Yikes! They need more light!
Keep an eye to the nest...surely. with me gone, will be time she lays an egg!
Oh, my, just had Mai out....and someone is shooting repeated vollies back behind me where the logging is going on. She is scared big-time. Came in (she DIDN'T go) and now she is crouching at my feet....can still hear the shots inside even with TV on. Bunch of idiots.
Got an almond pound cake in the oven...smelling good.
Who was going snow tubing this weekend? Can't recall who mentioned it.....that's what Christie and Shannon are doing up at Deep Creek, MD. Missing talking to my girl.
I only remember your mentioning the snow tubing - I must missed the other comment. They are going to blow down that hill in those tubes! I hope there is a good stopping area for them. I remember Deep Creek bobsledding and bales of hay at the bottom where there to stop you from entering the creek!
Judie - you are in here and out of here too fast. I hope you are relaxing today and that you had a good sound sleep with just the glass of wine and the Alieve. Hope you don't need to go out today as it sure is windy.
Going to fill my daily pill containers. Sure beats opening all the pill bottles every morning. BBILW
We should know them apart by now but it's so darn hard sometimes. And just occurred to me that if there's any doubt in broad daylight, it's probably Lib. When Belle is on the eggs, she really fills the space.
I went back to bed for a couple too. Happy to see all is still going well with our pair..
The nest waving back and forth in the wind can make you a little seasick, but it also gives you an excellent 3D simulation, which I like.
I'm betting the third egg is on its way. Sometimes there is a bigger gap between the second and the third. AND Lib-Belle are batting a 1000 on laying at least three eggs since the cam has been on the Internet.
I think it's Lib now. In the sun his feathers are darker and the tips that you can see in the upper body are smaller. The beak, head and body look somewhat smaller.
But I always have troubles identifying them too...at least for a while. Or if they are together it's pretty easy.
I had little baby wabbits in my yard a couple years ago. Something got them..dagnabbit. There are a lot of cats and dogs that get loose in the neighborhood.
If it happens again I will have to figure out how to protect even though they eat the flowers.
02/10/11: We're only about one week away from our possible first hatch! Here's a nice family shot we captured showing our parents in the middle of an incubation switch.
Don't know what he brought in but she is tearing into it. It was funny. At first she was blocking his view of the eggs, he was straining to look. Then he walked around her to get closer to the eggs. They are still on view.
Hi, Everyone, Checking in quickly here so nobody worries about me. Hubby and SIL and I met for breakfast and caught up on the latest.
Hubby & I are cleaning up the leaves and stuff in the back yard. Also, we are throwing away a lot of plants that we found out are poisonous to dogs. Emma is obsessed with chewing and eating leaves and twigs, and tree seeds and berries. Need to get back out there and help.
Sorry to see that we still have only 2 eggs--maybe sometime today, or tonight. Will BBL....
Cleaning is finished except to dust my bedroom. Working crossword.....without looking it up....does anyone know what "toroidal candy" is????? I got it right off the bat due to other words already done...but have to admit I never heard the term before!!! Take a stab and then I'll tell you!
Lolly, did you lose very many of your GH plants? Hope not.
Andy, know what you mean about the chewing----sticks, stones, tree bark, etc. here, too. Luckily, I don't have anything dangerous in the fenced yard! But Mai has tried to dig up a couple of tree trunks....as if!!!

Today's nest weather-Mostly sunny. Highs around 40. West winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.
Have a great day :)
Good morning everyone. Warmer weather everywhere how nice! How very nice indeed.
Good Morning - I am waiting for the sun to appear. The moon last night was really bright. I was hoping for that 3rd egg to be here - I guess today is the day.
Margy without her internet explains why we didn't hear from her yesterday
Lynn I hope you feel better as the day goes on.
All of you early morning commentators - Thank you so much for watching over the nest! I always read as soon as I open the blog and feel like I haven't missed anything.
Lolly should be coming over with her comments..... She and I were just chatting away.
Good morning Glo and Megan !
It really is windy today
Just saw the 2 eggs..
Thanks for the new thread and callover
Morning all. I went back to bed earlier and dreamed mother and I came up for a nest visit.
Ohhh Belle went back to bed too. All tucked in dreaming of #3!!
It is snow-flurrying here. :(
Well, sUSan, make it happen! We will be having a nest visit within the next month or two!
Hmmm repositioning again. And down
Miss Mai is not liking the vacuum cleaner today.....scary monster.Sun coming back out---thanks, mEGGan! But it is still flurrying.
I really am going to have to make that road trip. Need to put faces to names and will have a nest full of eagles by then. And to whoever was worried, too early for ticks hahaha
Hi Eagle Folks.
We have a warm weather approaching announcement on this thread. That is good news from Steve.
Thank you for the new thread Steve!
It's been three days now since the egg 2 was laid. Is there another one yet?
Yeah, Neat dream sUSAn -
a premonition perhaps >> ☺
Oh Shirley! Participles, definitives, be sure to throw some gerundives in there too! I love that kind of stuff...wish I could sit in on the Class !
Good Morning Eagle Pals...
Yes, internet has been restored at my roost..,
did you see on the old thread, I sent wishes that include HEAL - hope that happens for those with the punies today !
xoxo
just siged on in time to see an egg-tending
had to make myself take care of chores here FIRST...
am not usually that disciplined
getting some breakfast food
BRB
I didn't need to log on for comments
today either......
Goodness. Getting windy now.
Good news about the Daytona for you and Carolyn, Lynn... one small problem...she has to come to work tonight !! Guess she'll get her bank of sleep in early....
please tell her the a/c-system at work is still in other on the fritz so we are pulling in cooler outside air
Nice little stretch and take off..I think by Belle. An now Lib is rolling those eggs and waggling down, now pulling some fluff in.
Or do I have Lib and Belle reversed?
Jo -
I loved the report of the Valentine's Party with Alexis...
and am totally certain you will enjoy Monday with the Hedgesvillers as well ♥
Good to see you Margy - I thought you were out of commission and was worrying you would miss an egg event.
Susan - I'll look forward to meeting you.
Hello BEagle....
Yeah. I am pretty certain that is Lib on the nest at present.
I couldn't get the live feed up so I missed all that :(
Lacy feathering.
digging the little critters down under.
and another wiggle waggle.
Thanks JO ☺
I can bring the nest up at work and blog a little...
so as early morning daylight was approaching I was trying to watch, and work, and watch, and work
computer was totally off here for quite some time...and I have not had to sign in yet to anything ...
ca-razy !
Hi MemaJo...and Magpie.
Can you get the still cam Magpie?
I think it was Lori that frowns upon ticks.
oh yes, Susan, I have the still cam, am going to try the live again...and
WE ALL FROWN ON TICKS!
WE HAVE TRIED SEVERAL KINDS OF SPRAYS, NATURAL AND OTHERWISE...THEY ARE NEARLY AS CHALLENGING AS STINK BUGS !!
Bleeeah!
During the incubator replacement, I saw two egglings. That's it for now.
but you are right: It was Lori that made the comments....
eagle canes do not work on ticks....without a few accompanying bumps and bruises !
I have had ticks pulled off me. Blechh.
When ever I see a tick, I burn them.
ROFL After all these years of watching this nest, BEagle I can't agree or disagree as to which is on the nest. I will only say that the one on the nest now could just happen to be the egg layer! lol
What are eagle canes?
WV sUSAN...hi. I liked your post about eagle-holic. Funny.
MOrning, all!
Hey, I didn't have to log back in either...nice!
Morning Margy, Jo, BEagle, Susan, Lynn, MEGGan, Glo and all!
Yes, I'm the tick hater. Had one burrowed on my back this summer and it itched for months after I got it out. Little freaky have something move under your skin! YIKES!
Sure am hoping for egg #3 today!
When they are both in the nest - I have noooooo problem id'ing them.
I don't think we will see Lib lay #3.
May be altitude and wing flapping will help Belle bring on another.
Hm-m-m-m-m
?
live feed is up...oh, the wind...
Hedgie you are funny! B.O.- bad breath...guess everyone was just getting situated...
once in awhile I have saved ticks that were removed from me...in case I developed something, it could be analyzed, but have had no problems that I know of...yet
Hi! Guess I should say good morning again. Did not see MEGGan's new thread post. I am blind!! Then left to read the paper.
Gross! Why the talk of ticks...it is mid winter!!!!
And, the talk of nest visits makes me sad. Oh well..... :(
Oh Paula you just jumped on too.
I'm so envious, terrible I know, of you and your new beach house. That's so great for you.
there's Paula.
Waiting to hear what you have to say about 'nother eggling....
Eagle canes are wooden canes that have the eagle's head for the handle.
Ticks - I hate! Memories are of going through 5 kids' hair combing looking for ticks! I don't like that on myself I may miss seeing one like on my back area..........
So if it's Libb in the nest now, how do you ID him?
Or...how do you know it's NOT Belle?
Oh. I see about the eagle cane. An eagle cane doesn't help stomp out ticks!
Got it.
I keep looking to see the "deet" at the ground below the nest Paula
like you did a few weeks ago...
Good Morning to You Too !
And everyone else popping on here and there
I am poor at id'ing the adults about 3/4 of the time also..
and it's been three years since we had to try to id the Baby/ies!
Lib is slim. His lacy feathers lighten him.
it really helps to have a tick checker...
There is also something about his beak that makes me think it's him.
What is a tick checker?
A close friend?
dishes done
laundry almost done
over-re-heated my schmuffin :(
next chore is bedtime...
really don't like to leave....
but It is What It Is....
Hope you all have a Wonderful Day...
safe, warm....comforted...restorative...
and that the Saturday workers can enjoy some nest-watching time also
big clue when coming back to check the blog...regarding nest activity...is the number of posts !! So I will experience that several hours from now...
oh airplane....
God Bless Us, Every One and please, Bless This Nest!
xoxo ♥
It makes my brain tired thinking of ID-ing three chicklets or even two.
The Jordon Lake chicks look prickly.
Margy, harder to see the deets now, they blend in!
Morning, Lori,, nice to see you here!
Hoping we get our 3rd egg today....
BEAgle...
anyone at all that can have a look at those hard to search places !
I might have gotten some Momsters mixed around on my comments...sorry about that!
Playing a little 52-pick up here..
okay...'bye...xo
Wasn't Lolly on here a minute ago?
Kindergarten Valentine's parties are interesting! I always had a love/hate feeling about it. First off the delivery of valentines is a problem. Some children can read the names and others can not. I guess Margy means tat a "tick checker" is a spouse/friend.
Ctrl-F helped me find Lolly's post.
Sorry about the tick-talk.
Looks like Lib in the nest...I'll put some comparison pics on the EM blog
James and I crafted his Valentine's Card box the other night, a lot of shiny gold, heart and flag stickers...and his name, on a glorified Shoe Box !
I can't go to the party on Monday....started on-call at midnight this morning...
:(
Lolly this group had bags decorated by each child. Like you say addressing the valentines isn't necessary - they just dropped the cards into the bags and the valentines were signed. Worked well.
Thanks everyone - I am loving all the comments on IDing Lib and Belle.
Jo - I'll always remember majority rules. Good one.
BEagle, sounds like you have it down, but what about the beak makes Lib's beak different from Belle's beak?
You got it Jo!
Yes, I am here! Just had a phone call. Need to prepare a meal for a friend coming home from the hospital. I am going to cook a meat...probably chicken...and pick up some fresh fruit.
There's Lolly talking about Valentines.
More seasonal than ticks.
When you pull a lodged tick off you have to dig into the skin a little to make sure the whole thing gets off!
Paula - comparison pics will be GREAT!
sounds like a nice recuperating meal Lolly. Food always warms a heart. ♥
I would just shiver thinking about that tick dug in my back. Creepy.
Ticker Checker is a great idea. Wasn't that Sharon who put flea & tick collars on her ankles? Not sure how safe that is for dogs let alone humans.
Get some rest Margy and sweet dreams.
Lib's beak appears slimmer and sharper than Belles. It's hard to explain but the comparison pic would do the trick.
Oops. That just might be Belle. I may have been incorrect.
(blush, blush, blush.)
told you I didn't want to leave...
Lolly - I am sure you, and many other teachers of young children...have had many frustrating and downright heartbreaking moments with things like this...
God Bless You and all Teachers for What you do and have done for our precious children....
Love you guys
gotta find the pillows now...
live feed just shut down on me also...guess that is a sign...

OK no more tick talk - sorry... or is that tick tock - that's a Lolly!
&*(%^$#((&^@@ time to lose live feed, I just missed that action :(
worth a hospital stay to come home to one of your h♥me-cooked meals, Lolly
z z z z z z z z-time
Note home to parents always said "If your child can read ALL names you may put names on the valentines, but if they can NOT read ALL names please leave ALL blank." Duh!
Speaking of food...........
and then off to TCB.
BBL
Speaking of food...I need to eat breakfast! ☺
OK, put a couple comparison pics up, will add more later.
I don['t know what TCB meant...
Beautiful egg roll on our 2 eggs.
They really are large eggs!!
Elsie and Einstein laid their first egg this morning! Yea!
Went over to see Ted & Lucky. Only
1 is in view but he looks as though he is in one humongous egg well. lol
So,Paula, who's on first right now?
If you want my vote - I'll say LIB
Morning all! Is there a third egg for me???!
No, Delphia, no 3rd egg yet!
I was thinking Lib, too, but what do I know?☺
Okay. Who is Ted and Lucky?
And who is Elsie and Einstein?
Kathryn and Hunter have had valentine card issues today. She went to quite a lot of trouble to get the names of kids in his class and left him to write them on the cards. He signed them, then left the names off.

We will see how this works out.
I believe Ted and Lucky are bears and the North American Bear Center, BEagle.
I do not know who Elsie and Einstein are, either.
I do not think Kathryn appreciated it too much when I said I remembered going through some of the same homework issues with her that she is now going through with Hunter.
Meant to say ... which he does not have! Oh, good grief.

As far as the Valentine cards it may not matter about the missing address - it depends on how they are delivered.
I don't know the names of the Vian eagles or the NBG eagles.
I think these are the Ted and Lucky and/or Elsie and Einstein names.
Lake of the Ozarks, Elsie and Einstein
They think it was around 6 this morning when she laid her first egg. Hoping someone got a video.
TCB is Take Care of Business.
I think it's Belle on the nest
Vian nand NBG eagles do not have names. Ted and Lucky are bears.
Margy, glad you got cam up! Told Carolyn about the A/C. She is heading for bed about 1 and then get up at 7 to watch race before coming to work. Luckily, this race is not hours and hours long!

BEagle - North American Bear
Lucky (younger one) and Ted (older one)
http://www.bear.org/website/index.php
Just click on the Live cameras and get to see them. This is the same place to get Lily and Hope's cam.
LOL, Lori---yes, Sharon did put the flea collars on her ankles! Don't recall if Sissy, Mattie and Thelma did or not!
We will never notice at this angle but the females beak is taller from chin to top. The longer tail feathers we see now make me think Belle.
I wouldn't worry about how the cards are addressed either Strong.
It's funny how kids interpret their homework assignments. But why would a teacher only allow one reference from her? Is that a way to keep parents from helping their children?
Ted and Lucky are bears at the North America Bear Center. They are hibernating and have a cam in their den.
Thanks Susan - TCB Duhhhhhhh Jo
Jim says it all the time!
Going for lunch
BBILW
Thanks sUSAN. TCB
Whoops - beautiful egg roll!
They have such a difficult time getting the fluff up around them......
We may not know for sure about who is on the nest but maybe when they trade places will enlighten the question.
Thanks MemaJo
Still looks like Lib in the nest. The same eagle can look different when they turn, with the sunlight and cloudiness as well, makes their feathers look different

Paula I thought for sure you would know. You can always tell The angle is very deceiving.
Uh, I thought maybe the deets are just camera-shy.
I only remember your mentioning the snow tubing - I must missed the other comment. They are going to blow down that hill in those tubes! I hope there is a good stopping area for them.
I remember Deep Creek bobsledding and bales of hay at the bottom where there to stop you from entering the creek!

Going to fill my daily pill containers.
Sure beats opening all the pill bottles every morning.
BBILW
pills here come in bubble cards....or something...! I think maybe that loses something in the translation!
I set my pills up for 2 weeks at a time. I find that that is better for me. Ive got so MANY to take....grrrrrr!
OH Susan, I can still get mixed up on ID'ing our birds!
Switch.......and still only 2 eggs!
Now, That's Belle! She brought some Flugg
Flugg. Hahaha
We should know them apart by now but it's so darn hard sometimes. And just occurred to me that if there's any doubt in broad daylight, it's probably Lib. When Belle is on the eggs, she really fills the space.
OK, I posted 2 more ID pics on the EM blogs...they were both facing the same direction.
Whoa, Belle's flugg is gonna fly out
Oops---flugg is blowing away----over at 9 position now.
I went back to bed for a couple too. Happy to see all is still going well with our pair..
The nest waving back and forth in the wind can make you a little seasick, but it also gives you an excellent 3D simulation, which I like.

C(°ٿ°)D Jim
Belle had her eye on the blow away flugg. Thought for a sec she was going to retrieve.
Also, Lib usually does a couple of hour stint in the morning, then later on in the late afternoon.
Interesting to see how the different pairs share their incubation duties
And Belle takes the night shift.
Draped over a stick on edge....one gust from the right direction may throw it overboard.
This swaying nest doesn't bother me but I can't watch NBG on a windy day. Whew!
Can see snow tracks where a wascly wabbit has visited the bird feeder. Got some seed with fruit and nuts that brings everything in to get a snack.
So that is Belle on the nest now?
If you look down on the beaks, you can see that Belle's is longer and broader.
Lib's looks like he got short-beaked compared to Belle.
I like wascly wabbits.
Conirmed BEagle. Belle now. It was Lib earlier and they switched.
Excellent compare pics Paula!
I think Belle gets up a lot more than Lib when incubating. She's a roller and a wiggler.
lol
Look-see if we get another eggling!
I don't see many rabbits in my neighborhood so I always get a kick when I see one... Or the hoppy snow tracks.
I think it's Lib now. In the sun his feathers are darker and the tips that you can see in the upper body are smaller. The beak, head and body look somewhat smaller.
But I always have troubles identifying them too...at least for a while. Or if they are together it's pretty easy.

Hopefully, Belle bounced around enough to bring another on! She was gone a while.
I also noted the other day that the stray white feather on the right back shoulder is Belle's.
It is not showing now though.
I had little baby wabbits in my yard a couple years ago. Something got them..dagnabbit. There are a lot of cats and dogs that get loose in the neighborhood.
If it happens again I will have to figure out how to protect even though they eat the flowers.
It's the squirrels that give me a hard time. They get upset when I mess with their buried nuts in my houseplants.
Then they start banging on my window.
Ornery little whips.
You won't want to watch the NBG nest today WV sUSAN!
Whoa..I get sea sick thinking about it.
On the BWE/O website
Nest Update
02/10/11:
We're only about one week away from our possible first hatch! Here's a nice family shot we captured showing our parents in the middle of an incubation switch.
Possible first hatch: Feb. 17
Well, Beagle, stray white feathers are probably signs of a partial molt; either one of them can have them and they can fall out at any time.
Belle did have a mark/scar on one side of her beak for the last couple of years, but I can't say I've noticed it this year.

I'm wondering what Lib does for meals when he's on all day, unless there was a change of the guard while I napped.
He took over at first light, and he wouldn't have had time to trip to the river for breakfast.

Hi Jim
I am looking at the White Rock nest.
It is really swaying. The eagles looked like they were trying to hold it steady. lol
They just flew out.
Jim..I think there was a change of guards while you napped.
Paula,
Great job on the BELLE & LIBERTY COMPARISON PICS on the Eaglet Momsters Blog. Thank you!
Is it a long flight to the river?? Will have to keep an eye on BWE.
I'll take your word BEagle about NBG. I do love that cam when it's not windy. Great views.
Yo Jim, they switched at 1pm. Belle is incubating.
The river is only about 1/2 mile from the nest...in the 6 o'clock direction
If the NBG nest gets you..you won't want to watch the White Rock nest!

Check this out if you can.
Oh, yes, you can certainly tell that is Belle on the nest now. She really fills out the egg cup. Her cup runith over, I would say.
Back from errands in town. Now to eat a bite of lunch and then take care of the greenhouse plants.
Belle is certainly looking at something and now calling out.
Jim, I love the 3 D affect, too!
Aha, Lib brought lunch! Way to go Lib.
Ah, there is Lib with some food! Guess she knew it was coming. See two eggs!
Nest surfing time! 2 eggs in view. Lib standing at the left side.
Don't know what he brought in but she is tearing into it. It was funny. At first she was blocking his view of the eggs, he was straining to look. Then he walked around her to get closer to the eggs. They are still on view.
Momma was hungry. Not sure what Lib brought though. Good boy!
A great view of two eagles and two eggs.
Lib took off. Maybe an egg after this meal? ☺
And Lib flew the coup
Might have been a squirrel. Lib flew up into the tree. Look at that hunk of flugg blowing around....that's what I call flugg!
Seeming to be defurring it, look at it blow away with the wind.
I love it when they scratch!
What?
Oh scratching.
Lib's trying to put a blanket over the eggs.
Man, Belle is tearing up the mid afternoon snack.
Lib is back for another look and some nestorations. He's just working away.
Lib just arrived with fluff. He's in the bowl with the fluff...fluff has some sticks associated with it.
Where does Lib get all that sweetness?
Good Daddy, he's incubating while she's eating.
Don't cover those eggs honey.
Oh he's in for his shift.
And the tumble flugg waves in the wind.
Oh, it's red meat today :)
Can see a little color where Belle is.
RED!
Hi, Everyone,
Checking in quickly here so nobody worries about me.
Guess what!! It is bright sunshine and up to 62!!! It is beautiful outside. Warms the soul!
Belle just poofed!
Wow, not sure there was anything left of that, but she just flew off with what looked like a long bone in her beak.
I thought Lib was going to take off right after her, but he just adjusted and wiggled back down on the eggs :)
Lib reajusted...wiggle wiggle.
Watch out for the split coming soon!
Finished lunch, heading outside.
BBL
Cleaning is finished except to dust my bedroom.
Working crossword.....without looking it up....does anyone know what "toroidal candy" is????? I got it right off the bat due to other words already done...but have to admit I never heard the term before!!!
Take a stab and then I'll tell you!
Enjoy, Lolly.
Well Lynn, I had to look that up. Never would have guessed, lol
Lifesaver?
