Thanks Steve for the new thread. Trying to see if it is going to work. Something was very wrong with the blog last night and this morning. Looks like it might be working now.
Good Tuesday Morning.... I realize the problem we are all having with the disappearing comments on the blog. It started around 9:37pm last evening. I am mainly testing this new blog BUT I'll call over to Steve after I see what is going on......
Do not understand what was going on but it was strange, for sure!!! Could see no comments after 9:37, comments would post, but disappear when you refreshed. Went to bed feeling mighty lonely! However, this morning I did see some more comments on past that time.
OK, still seeing some in my email that aren't posting here.....Thanks Wanda, that picture is kinda cool! For chuckles and grins I may just send for the DNR photo contest!
Are you sure we are really up and working. I see only one of my many comments. However, I do see a few others. Please let me know if you can see this!!!
Yes, I missed everybody, too. I think my comment was the last one to post before everything went bad. I didn't do it!!!
I had just complimented Wanda on her lovely pictures, then everything stopped posting. I was beginning to wonder if I had done something bad and had gotten myself banned from the blog.
Dryer repair people will be here tomorrow between 12 and 2.
So now we know. Shirley broke the blog. If this posts, I would appreciate you tell me if you can see it or not. It really is funny to read back or what everyone posted. lol Sitting here smiling. ☺
I hope all of you are happy and healthy. I have missed you all.
I have been right out straight. I didn't teach summer school this year so I could get some stuff done around here. I am beginning to wonder if I made the wrong decision. LOL
Just got back home. There was a senior citizen's sale at Belk, so I went. I love the way they tell you how much you saved by buying all of that stuff. I should be well stocked for the summer, now. And some things will be fine for fall.
I see that the blog has been behaving properly. That's a relief.
I wanted to pick up a couple of other things, but I was tired, so I came home. They will keep until another day.
I thought you were have 100 degree temps. 94 is normal around here, 88 is comfortable for July. Just talked with Laurel. She had rain today, hopefully we will have rain tomorrow.
When I got back to my car at the mall, the thermometer on the dashboard said 113 degrees. It was even hot in the store. I worked up a sweat just trying on clothes. Relaxing in the recliner now. I took a short nap after supper.
Hope Wanda & Gene have a good turnout for the Soup Kitchen today. With the blogger acting up yesterday, we don't know the menu for tonight! Hope she is serving Lemonade.
Shirley the heat in the store would have put me out of the mood to shop. I haven't done zilch today. And you were out and about early for blood work! You're going to nap in that recliner - I can see you now!
The heat is one reason I left the store when I did. Sweat was running into my eyes. I told the saleslady it was really hot and asked if it wasn't bothering her, and she said that it wasn't. One woman said she was so hot and sticky she couldn't try on a swimsuit.
Not what anyone over the age of 6 would call fine dining. Used up leftover hamburger rolls by making hot dog sandwiches. Just like hot dogs but the roll is round.
BEagle, Lohan violated her probation by failing to attend nine alcohol education sessions. Judge would not address the alcohol reading on the scram (ankle monitor) which, based on evidence, I had to reluctantly agree with. Anyway, she was obviously shocked and did not expect to be sentenced. I hope her jail time is followed by a residential treatment facility.
Don't think much is of interest on t.v. tonight. Need to go check.
Shirley, glad your visit to Belk's was successful.
Made a quick visit to Tarjay and car thermometer read 101 about noon today.
MT nest. Phoenix is lovely in the late afternoon light.
So happy the blog is back. Now if we can just bring Norma and Lynn back.
I didn't know anything about what was going on with Lohan.
Ankle bracelets--the first time I saw one it was on the ankle of one of my students. He came walking into the room wearing shorts with the thing there for all to see. He obviously was not embarrassed at all. I had one student later on who offered to show me hers. (I think their bracelets were supposed to keep them at home and at school and not out doing crimes.)
I had broiled flounder with corn on the cob, sliced tomato, and spinach. And, for dessert, a Lactaid and ice cream with strawberry syrup and whipped cream. Enjoyed it all.
By the way, on the way home from work, something in the sky caught my eye. A really big bird was flying overhead.
It was just too hazy to see it well. I would have followed it but my car has no wings. I have seen hawks around here but this bird was bigger, significantly.
Shirley sounds like you worked up a good appetite! The corn on the cob we had on the 4th turned out to be too many ears and so now we have a couple bags full of it cut from the cob.
ALSO: I picked my first ripened tomato from the totem bush plant I had gotten from Megan!
BEagle - most of the times when I think I might just be seeing an eagle flying high in the sky - when he comes lower I have sighted another vulture. I have a hard time telling them apart as they soar... I look for a white head or a red head.... The juvies fake me out every time!
I should take notes. There was a report a long while back about a bald eagles nest someone spotted. The man took pictures, but I cannot remember where that was.
I am having zucchini and some picnic leftovers for dinner.
It was so funny, I had baked 2 loaves of zucchini bread...John spotted it on the counter, grabbed it and a knife, and ran outside with it and started eating it at the table! He said "You didn't tell me you made zucchini bread, you haven't made that in years." I said I had made it, he just didn't live here anymore! He said I am supposed to call him when I make it, LOL. Think I'll send him a pic over the phone instead!
Jack and I finished dinner and took a turn around the yard until I started melting. It is down to 84, but high humidity. Also, had had a glass of wine with dinner and I was miserable. lol Jack said "Well, if you would not do so much bending." Can not walk out side without bending and pulling a weed or pinching a plant. ☺
Oh BEagle - I am having a senior moment and I know exactly who you mean. He hasn't been on for a long long time. Maybe it was Indiana ..... ?? Wanda may remember
Hope the soup kitchen went well tonight. May have had some business with people needing food and relief from the heat.
Now that we have the blog back, I hate to say goodnight. But...turning my light off but will leave the night light on for others coming in. Andy, please set our alarm for us, thank you. Pleasant dreams.
Wanda will tell us this later: tonight was not the 2nd of 4th Tuesday which is when Soup Kitchen is...because June had 5 Tuesdays.... so there was a meeting at the church...ABOUT the soup Kitchen I WAS going to take James tonight, but, sigh,...not the right Tuesday, but kinda glad the Kitchen folks got a wee break...
BEagle we may not be thinking of the same person.... I'm relatively certain it was Indiana Dave who gave us pictures. He had a friend with an airplane and I think he actually flew over the nest in order to see how many eaglets were there. But you are thinking of someone else because I don't think Dave was on after we got Palmer. Maybe it was Donnie but I think he was from around the Williamsport MD area near the Potomac River. I give up!
I crossed the Potomac on I-81 from WV into Maryland (near Williamsport)earlier this afternoon... saw a large bird swoop down to the water and maybe, grab up a fish... it was a large bird....but I was also going 65 mph...so I had to look quick.... now WHAT kind of bird would do that besides......an Eagle ? or an Osprey ?
Jo I have had about five little gems from my Megan Totem plant - Yum Yum - but my Tomato Trees....are really suffering! Big tomatoes on there.... but hard skinned, and not turning pink anytime soon.... :(
regarding soup kitchen, I meant to say 2nd AND 4th Tuesdays which is when the meals are...
I had my plan all set for James...so maybe I can get off half a day next Tuesday and make a date ! We did water balloons and water blasters instead...
I Need to trip to the tub...then to the pillows...
better say Good Night... thanks for all the news especially about our Momsters and Dadsters.... always important to keep in touch with each other...as Judie so correctly mentioned much earlier on the blog...how we depend on keeping up with each other... I'll call Lynn tomorrow and see how she is coming along with her internet
Well Shirley...actually, I read yours...looked at Wanda's slide show...then got on the blog to post.... boy oh boy was I worried .... Paula assured me that it was NOT me...whew!!
Jo, It wasn't Indiana Dave, it was the guy in MN that posted about the eagles nest, the guy with 4 kids, 2 of whom were twins. Not sure Indiana Dave is around anymore, I don't see his blogs online :(
Okay, this is where last night I thought things were getting really weird. Let's see what happens!
Fell asleep in my chair again. Getting to be a habit. No tv tonight. Decided to catch up reading some magazines. They are stacking up. Read one and fell asleep.
Hi, Everyone, Just got home from school, and I'm hoping my comment is not lost tonight!
Really miss all of you when I can't keep in touch. Liked the video about the injured bald eagle. Hope all turns out well for that beautiful bird!
Been wanting to ask, Judie, if your tummy is feeling 100% by now. Sure hope so!
Shirley, wish you could be my personal shopper! Sounds like you really made a haul! Good job!
Am hoping that I hear very soon that my sunglasses are ready to pick up! Having the old ones changed to new Rx. My glasses broke a couple of weeks ago, and am having to wear old, old glasses that are at least 10 years old. My eyes don't know what's going on, and are trying very hard to compensate for the wacky prescription. Have been getting eyestrain headaches, and by end of day, am almost feeling nauseated! Will be 1-1/2 more weeks till I can pick up new glasses, but sunglasses should only be 1 week. Wish I could see past the end of my nose! LOL
Think I'll go veg for a while. Am leaving the night light on for those coming in, and the porch light is automatic. The eye scanner security is enabled. Prayers being said for everyone--especially those in need of healing. Sleep tight, and I'll talk to you tomorrow. God bless, and goodnight! Love you guys! :o]
No, Soup Kitchen didn't serve dinner tonight. We met with the other volunteers to discuss the possibility of having the Soup Kitchen every Tuesday, instead of twice a month. We will all give it some thought and decide at the end of this month.
Jo, I do believe it was Indiana Dave who spoke of an eagle's nest and was going to keep us informed about babies, etc. Haven't heard from him in a while...he's probably off somewhere camping and photographing some wonderful wildlife!
GOOD NIGHT MY FRIENDS SWEET DREAMS PRAYERS FOR ALL
Good Morning All in Eagleland! Konked out last night after work, missed dinner, etc. Did I say I hate early mornings??? See Blogger finally straightened out & all our lost posts were found! Think the count is wrong on this one's home page. Saw the osprey cam most of yesterday & Mom osprey is so heartwarmimg~~~she stood tall over chick, put a wing over it's shoulder like they were buddies as they waited all day for food!I even stayed a little late to see a fish drop, & finally happened. Then I could turn off cam & go home relieved! Gonna get java & check cam...
have a mockingbird close by here, often hear it singing Judie Judie Judie Shirley, Shirley... this morning, it sang GG GG GG nice little neighborhood bird to have around
Good morning everyone. Happy to hear the blog is back on its feet. I was driving into work today and along the highway there is a collecting pond at one point. This AM I saw the beautiful long legs of a blue heron! It made my morning :)
I sure hope everyone is safe from this dreaded heat wave. Stay cool.

Hey....everyone....I think we are back in business!

Do not understand what was going on but it was strange, for sure!!! Could see no comments after 9:37, comments would post, but disappear when you refreshed. Went to bed feeling mighty lonely! However, this morning I did see some more comments on past that time.

Looks like lots of posts have been restored thus THE LOST HAVE BEEN FOUND - AMAZING GRACE (or is that Amazing Google?)
Went out for a quick errand. Horrible.
Watching the Lindsay Lohan trial. Interesting arguments from both sides.
Need to check the critter cams again so BBL
Just realized what is amazing. How much we have come to depend on keeping up with one another.
OK, so we are back in business...good thing the nest has been MT all this time!

Jim
Looks like you've had probs with the blog spacing out.
Seems to be working OK now.
It's kinda overcast and mild gloom this morning, but I'm sure it will warm up somewhat later on.
C(°ٿ°)D Jim
Jim, hope the June Gloom goes away soon!
Hi Jim, don't recall the area you are in but have been watching the L. Lohan trial today. Interesting. Hope the sunshine is out and about for you.
Hi Paula.
I guess the blog is working now. Finally had some time to chat and it went weird.
Really hot out there today. Tried to do some work, but I just can't do it. It's 94 in the shade.
It seemed to work with my first post.
I hope all of you are happy and healthy. I have missed you all.
I have been right out straight. I didn't teach summer school this year so I could get some stuff done around here. I am beginning to wonder if I made the wrong decision. LOL
I haven't read back to catch up on the blog news. My post went wild when I was trying to say goodnight. I just couldn't get back on the blog.
I thought dorggy was a really bad word maybe.
BBL after checking the news after my "TEST" post.
Dorggy blog :(
And another thing.....
Palmer was on the nest this morning and I couldn't post the news!
:(
And another thing....I just posted these posts on the Monday blog and had to copy them over to Tuesday.
Grrrr.
Hubby just came home. He is chatting away in the kitchen. Best see what he's talking about. BBL
I went back to about 9:30 last night to see what posted and what didn't.
The blog turned really funny.
Lynne 2 says HELLOOOOOOOO and Lolly says Yooooo Hooooo!!! Anyone there?
Very humorous.
I did chance a post this morning that Palmer was on the nest which didn't post. Then Google must have finally got their stuff together!!!!
My post got posted and so did Shirley's and Mits now calls Google...Goggle.
And they SHOULD gets some prescription goggles to better see what they are doing.
And another thing.........I got to work and pulled up the Still Cam.
Was I surprised to see the night time view of the nest!!! ALL.....DAY.....LONG
Getting ready for dinner -
Making sure you all are still here!

Hi,
Just got back home.
Are there still problems on the blog?
There's not a post for nearly an hour.
Clouded up, sprinkled, but it did cool down to 82. Now back up to 88 and rain in the forecast. Wow!
Are we back up and running? Certainly is quiet around here.
Hi Lolly.
Everyone is busy or pooped or giving Mr. Bologna (blog) a break.
Listening to the news and the weather back east. So sorry!
Or is it Mr. Baloney?
I didn't get a spell check on either spelling.
Hoping everyone is drinking a lot and staying as comfortable as possible.
Hot Blogoney.
Are you talking about our weather?
LOL I think it is bologna.
How are your temperatures Lolly?
Yep! I am at 88.
Thanks for the reminder to drink, esp. water. Taking vitamins and minerals too.
88 degrees is not really cool either, but it sounds refreshing with it being 94 where I am.
Lolly - Judge Sentences Lohan To 90 Days In Jail
I am still up in the 90° range
Today I have not ventured out of doors and didn't move too much indoors.
What did Lohan do this time?
If the breeze would pick up, it wouldn't be so bad. We are supposed to go down to 67 tonight.
I thought you were have 100 degree temps. 94 is normal around here, 88 is comfortable for July. Just talked with Laurel. She had rain today, hopefully we will have rain tomorrow.
About time for Palmer to come screeching into the nest.
Tar balls on the Galveston beach have been proved to come from the spill. Just hoping it does not venture down to Port Aransas in the next 3 weeks.
I think your rain is heading this way.
We are predicted rain for Friday and Saturday but only scattered and isolated.
Think Jack wants to eat. Guess I better wander into the kitchen and see what I can come up with. Much rather just sit here! Sigh.....
When I got back to my car at the mall, the thermometer on the dashboard said 113 degrees. It was even hot in the store. I worked up a sweat just trying on clothes. Relaxing in the recliner now. I took a short nap after supper.
Hope Wanda & Gene have a good turnout
for the Soup Kitchen today. With the blogger acting up yesterday, we don't know the menu for tonight!
Hope she is serving Lemonade.
Shirley the heat in the store would have put me out of the mood to shop.
I haven't done zilch today. And you were out and about early for blood
work! You're going to nap in that
recliner - I can see you now!
The heat is one reason I left the store when I did. Sweat was running into my eyes. I told the saleslady it was really hot and asked if it wasn't bothering her, and she said that it wasn't. One woman said she was so hot and sticky she couldn't try on a swimsuit.

MT nest. Phoenix is lovely in the late afternoon light.

I took a good nap, Jo.
According to the saleslady, I saved more than I spent!
Yup, got to stay cool and hydrated to beat thgis heat...96° here...gonna feed that dogs and try to water plants...
And Lohan deserved the jail time...
Pork with Gorgonzola sauce, lima beans and rice...on the menu tonight. hee hee With a bottle of wine I might add! Yummy! Ready in about 10 minutes!
I didn't know anything about what was going on with Lohan.
Ankle bracelets--the first time I saw one it was on the ankle of one of my students. He came walking into the room wearing shorts with the thing there for all to see. I worry about those kids.
Where oh where can our little Palmer be
Oh where oh where can she be??????
Good eagle story...
Couple finds bald eagle in their back yard
Off to eat!
BBL
Some of the "star" problems get hushed and some are so open. Like Spears.
It's all up to the judge I guess.
I had broiled flounder with corn on the cob, sliced tomato, and spinach. And, for dessert, a Lactaid and ice cream with strawberry syrup and whipped cream. Enjoyed it all.
I would like to see Palmer also.
I was really surprised when she was at the nest this morning. So I snipped a picture.
It is a good eagle story, Lolly. Thanks for sharing it.
Thanks for the Eagle story.
By the way, on the way home from work, something in the sky caught my eye.
A really big bird was flying overhead.
It was just too hazy to see it well. I would have followed it but my car has no wings. I have seen hawks around here but this bird was bigger, significantly.

I have a hard time telling them apart as they soar... I look for a white head or a red head.... The juvies fake me out every time!
The battle of the squash bugs has begun! they will not get my zucchini!
I don't know what my first reaction would be if I would see a bald eagle out in the yard. Excited to say the least!
Going to catch a Law & Order show...
BBL
I didn't think we had vultures here but I haven't studied such things yet.
And I can't imagine a vulture looking like an eagle. It was flying north in the same direction as me.
I just couldn't tell if there were white feathers or not even with a good squint.
I should take notes. There was a report a long while back about a bald eagles nest someone spotted. The man took pictures, but I cannot remember where that was.
I am trying to say that the nest not remembered was closer to Charleston than Palmers.
Shirley, please tell us the Lactaid was not the best part!
I think for some teens, the ankle bracelet is a badge of honor. Right of passage. Foolish kids.
Jo, cornbread with real corn stirred in. Yummy!
Agree, Paula. No rehab in jail but maybe some time to think about owning her behavior choices and her future.
Great story Lolly, and she's at CRC
I am having zucchini and some picnic leftovers for dinner.
It was so funny, I had baked 2 loaves of zucchini bread...John spotted it on the counter, grabbed it and a knife, and ran outside with it and started eating it at the table! He said "You didn't tell me you made zucchini bread, you haven't made that in years." I said I had made it, he just didn't live here anymore! He said I am supposed to call him when I make it, LOL. Think I'll send him a pic over the phone instead!
Vultures do look like eagles flying up in the sky. The key is, they have no discernable head! Also, their wings are in a V shape, eagles are straight.
Great eagle rescue story, Lolly. It would be nice if this eagle were put in with Savannah and we could watch its progress.
So glad blog is still working!
104 in the shade on the pation today at 3pm, but not too mush humidity, thank goodness!
I'M MELTING
heading for shower and ice cream and sleep. Irvine tomorrow, going to be HOT.
Prayers and good night to all!
I am sure it was an eagle.
That nest was near Sutton I think.
And didn't they have chicks there?
Jack and I finished dinner and took a turn around the yard until I started melting. It is down to 84, but high humidity. Also, had had a glass of wine with dinner and I was miserable. lol Jack said "Well, if you would not do so much bending." Can not walk out side without bending and pulling a weed or pinching a plant. ☺
Judie, the Lactaid will be wonderful if it enables me to eat ice cream.
Yes, Judie, foolish kids. They were ninth graders. Many (not all) ninth graders do lots of foolish things.
Oh BEagle - I am having a senior moment and I know exactly who you mean.
He hasn't been on for a long long time.
Maybe it was Indiana ..... ??
Wanda may remember
It was in WV. Of that I have no doubt.
It was early on. Right after I started watching Palmer.
Bend. It's a Bend, maybe?
Hope the soup kitchen went well tonight. May have had some business with people needing food and relief from the heat.
Now that we have the blog back, I hate to say goodnight. But...turning my light off but will leave the night light on for others coming in. Andy, please set our alarm for us, thank you. Pleasant dreams.
Prayers for Karen and Kailey.

Well, I really thought I WAS the one that clobbered the blog last night because it was I that posted right after Shirley did !
Hope I really didn't because if so, I might just be doing it again !
Wanda will tell us this later:
tonight was not the 2nd of 4th Tuesday which is when Soup Kitchen is...because June had 5 Tuesdays....
so there was a meeting at the church...ABOUT the soup Kitchen
I WAS going to take James tonight, but, sigh,...not the right Tuesday, but kinda glad the Kitchen folks got a wee break...
BEagle we may not be thinking of the same person.... I'm relatively
certain it was Indiana Dave who gave us pictures.
Any ideas ?
Jo
I have had about five little gems from my Megan Totem plant -
Yum Yum -
but my Tomato Trees....are really suffering!
Big tomatoes on there....
but hard skinned, and not turning pink anytime soon....
:(
OH, I kinda forgot to say:
Hello Eagle Pals !
Jo...I posted the article from the Charleston Gazette.
http://www.wvgazette.com/Outdoors/201003200383
It's the New River Gorge.
I think you would find it ironic if you see the posts.
....if you see the posts on the Gazette page about the eagles, that is.
I watched 2 TV Law & Order shows.
So So... Now it is time to check out sites and get ready to call it a day.
Margy I was thinking the same thing.
I think we may have posted at exactly the same time and so confused the blog, that it threw it into shock.
Paula, check out the posts on the Gazette page about the eagles.
regarding soup kitchen, I meant to say 2nd AND 4th Tuesdays which is when the meals are...
God Bless Us, Every One
xoxo ♥
Well Shirley...actually, I read yours...looked at Wanda's slide show...then got on the blog to post....
boy oh boy was I worried ....
Paula assured me that it was NOT me...whew!!
I was contemplating life as a real problem child .. in the penalty box !
xoxox 'Night Now...
Nice article, BEagle.
Margy, let's hope neither one of us broke the blog.
I'm heading upstairs. See you all tomorrow. Good night. Take care.
Whooops!
Got you and Shirley confused BEagle...
maybe we DID try to post at the same time..
sorry I was reading too darn fast
By the way, what a blast we had with Dorggy !
Funny. I couldn't remember the word groggy. I kept thinking droggy and out came dorgy. I didn't think anyone paid attention.
Maybe dorky would have been more fitting.
Margy, blog not broken after you posted tonight.
Jo, It wasn't Indiana Dave, it was the guy in MN that posted about the eagles nest, the guy with 4 kids, 2 of whom were twins. Not sure Indiana Dave is around anymore, I don't see his blogs online :(
I'll check out the article, BEagle
: D
Well, I must go. I am late for the haystack that keeps getting hit.
Sometimes that is the best pounding exercise I get.
That and getting out of my chair. : D
Goodnight.
God loves you.
BEagle, I posted a link to that article.
And yuck on the last commenter.
Hitting the hay here too,
good night, friends
Hugs to all ♥
That's what I thought was so ironic about the whole thing. I had no idea.
Goodnight. I suppose I can check to see if Palmer visits her home pad in the morning.
I had called Lynn today but had to leave a message. I just hope she was home and had her cell phone turned off.
Time to "Just do it"
Good Night All
Prayers for Karen & Kailey and all other Momsters & Dadsters.
Hugs to all ♥♥♥♥
May the rains come closer and closer as each day passes......
Thinking of you Megan !
Hope Lily and Juliet update
Okay, this is where last night I thought things were getting really weird. Let's see what happens!
Fell asleep in my chair again. Getting to be a habit. No tv tonight. Decided to catch up reading some magazines. They are stacking up. Read one and fell asleep.
Heading to bed.
Night all! Sweet dreams!
Night Lynn, where ever you are!☺
Hope Update
Hi, Everyone,
Just got home from school, and I'm hoping my comment is not lost tonight!
GOOD NIGHT MY FRIENDS
SWEET DREAMS
PRAYERS FOR ALL
Good Morning All in Eagleland!

Good morning!
Now that I bought new clothes, I have to clean out my closet to make room for the new things. I do hope I never need to wear those larger sizes again.
Andy, I do feel pretty good about the bargains I found. It was worth enduring the heat.
Stay cool.
Good morning, PF.
We definitely need to stay out of the heat again today. Good day to get indoor things done.
Split time is upon us.
And here it is!!
