Lynn, just opened Michael's and then Laurel's wedding pictures. Wow, have not looked at them for a while. The interesting thing is to look at their flower girls who are now teenagers!
Thanks for callover, Margy. Tomato is looking grand!
Jo, I used chocolate----for Christie. I would rather have used a brown-sugar icing of some kind.
Lolly, recipe sent. As for bridal attendants-----C&C's flower girl (his niece) is now a mother, a druggie and jail bird... :( Her sister has custody of the child.
Margy, I too suspect that Palmer has left us for good. Very empty feeling. Seems too soon....but we just have to pray that she is happy and well, learning and exploring.
Thanks to ALL of you for your prayers. Never had so much pain layiing on my back for an MRI.. which I've had several of on my back. I forgot to ask when results, I'm sure dr will call me.
Margy I love your tomato avatar cute ( : hee hee
Happy Anniversary to Ashley and Michael also Carolyn and Charlie
Hedgie your comment cracked me up !!!!!!
P.S. Glad I took out the warranty on the lap top "the Mother Board went" .... that was a short time to have a laptop. Expecting for them to send back any day.
Just a quick pop in to say hi and wish Carolyn and Charlie and Michael and Ashley Happy Anniversary!!
Dana, good to see you back and prayers for your MRI results to be good.
Paula, prayers for Ajay's surgery tomorrow...discectomy,right?
Heading back to the garden where GUESS WHAT!!!! I have found 4 2nd instar monarch caterpillars on my milkweeds!!! They are 5mm, lean, mean eating machines! Busy searching for information on raising them.
Dana, that's an awful big chunk of change.......argh! FYI: Paula's DIL must have back surgery tomorrow. Sudden, severe worsening of her symptoms and put in hospital late this past week.
oh, yes that's right Dana...thanks! I'm going to bring them in as in the wild they have only a 3% chance of making it to "butterflyhood" So many parasites will kill them!
yes I did Lynn! Plan on keeping a daily journal that I will bore you all to tears with! Too small to get a pic with my own cam but friend Dave is coming with his today and will probably get some for me!
I never had gotten to see an egg, then I guess crystallized (?), and butterfly comes to life. Until Wanda put her video camera on the container she had it in. I do remember milkweed. It was great watching I loved it again thanks WANDA.
Oh My PRAYERS for Paula's DIL....success and healing and then pain free.

On the link to the Osprey cam... I was just watching the 2 chicks - 1 had food in its talon and was very concerned about what was going on out and about - the other chick was eying up the food and almost snatched it!!! Too funny
Just spoke to friend of mine who is a vet that specializes in birds. I asked her about the kind of pneumonia that Phoenix had. She said raptor rehab places deal with this problem a lot - birds that are stressed or whose immune systems aren't strong can get fungal pneumonia and once they have it, it is nearly impossible to treat.
She said that just because of the eaglet's age, her immune system is not as good as an adult's, which by itself would make her more susceptible to something like this than her parents. In humans, we often hear that the young (even teenagers) and the old are more at risk when infectious diseases are in the news. My friend did say, however, that it's possible that another contributing factor may be revealed in the test results that haven't come in yet.
But bad luck and her not fully developed immune system may be all there is to it.
I got the courage to watch some Hornby nest video of Wednesday afternoon (she died that evening around 7) - Phoenix had lost her appetite, but she was on her feet and was not struggling in her breathing at that time, so the end came very quickly. That is indeed a blessing.
And she drew her last breath looking out over the "prow" of the nest, toward the water and toward Doug's house (the man who arranged for the cams in the tree, and who has so loved her and her parents, the eagles who have nested there for 20 years).
Hey, Andy, it's a long way for one of us to come to bail you out if you get arrested for water usage!! Oops, Jim will just have to be the one to do it!! Sorry everything is such a mess----but think of how much entertainment those birds give you!!
Thought I just heard a sneeze at the nest----but probably not. No other noise that sounded like an eagle!
kickngbird, that was pretty much how I read it from my research. Sad. And you're right about her last view being peaceful. Just a shame that she can't be buried at "home".
Time for me to finish getting ready to get outta here. See all y'all later. Enjoy your afternoon and evening.
Thanks for that bit of info KBird. It's the same reason we lost little Hugo the stork a few years back. They completely demolished that nest and actually remade most of it. So far so good.
It is just so sad because it likes strikes without much warning.
Beautiful pictures of the childrens' wedding, Lolly.
Recent wedding of our gd - the hardbound book they had made for the parents was awesome. With so many pics being taken - they picked out just the right ones!
Is this what Paula emailed you before Lolly...... if so - save it cause I almost couldn't find it. Mits gave it to me....... Go to Tools then Internet Options then Security Tab, then Custom Then go down to Miscellaneous and then to display Mixed Content, click Enable...
When Mom and me was riding home from me getting MRI. I said Mom the strangest thing happened to me and I didn't dream it. "Yesterday morning very early Little Man woke me to go out. So I walked out on porch to watch him. He wasn't barking. I thought WOW that is different!! Then all of a sudden I knew a Jet Plane had fallen from the sky and was going to hit the house, I told God please don't let it just injury me and put me in hospital and a lot of care needed and expense. I am ready to go PLEASE GOD JUST GO AHEAD AND TAKE ME." I looked at the sky strange I thought none of those streaks that a jet makes. I knew it was level with my trees and was going to hit. Funny no fear at all. Then the sound disappeared!!! Strange I thought. Mom then told me about the earthquake. I said Mom I didn't feel any earthquake. She then began telling me what people "heard". Then some fear did hit me. WOW it was really strange.
Just got on. Thank you, BEagle! Gave the burp cloths to the Grandma to be when they were here Friday. She thought they were cute and she said Jenny and Michael are going to LOVE the Gig Em. LOL
Thanks Jo! That was what I needed. Need to get that new computer in working order. lol You know, it is much faster than this laptop, but I do like sitting here in my chair.
Lily the Black Bear July 18, 2010 (5:18 PM CDT) Hope has succeeded in tracking down Lily, but Lily does not seem too happy about being found! We're waiting to see what develops. -- SM
WHAT is this bears problem?!!!!! Get a grip Lily! Be a mommy!!!!
Just back from dinner. Need to turn live feed back on..... Interesting. Breezy but no wind noise. I only get some static if I turn speaker volume up to the limit.
WOW! That tomato is a beauty...very healthy looking. I can already visualize 3 or 4 BLTs with that one tomato:) Might be ready by Wednesday...if Myrtle the turtle doesn't come up the road and get it;)
I am so glad for technology. Laurel is in Houston and texted me a picture of Jacob's eye. I encouraged her to get him to Minor Emergency Center. Turns out he has a sty that has become infected. Poor baby has a very swollen eye. Too bad something like that happens on a special weekend.
Yes, Laurel said it was bothering him, but the doctor said the meds should act quickly. Hope so! She has tonight and tomorrow at a friends house and then she comes home on Tuesday.
Hi, Lolly, Lynn, and BEagle, Ooooh--poor Jacob! He really must be hurting! Prayers for that eye! Hope it gets better, quickly!
Glad you had a good time, Lynn!
Sure hope Lily snaps out of it and starts acting more like a mom! Glad Hope found her.
Hubby and I went to see 'Eclipse'--it was very good! Was nice to walk out of the theater and realize that it had cooled off quite a bit! Guess the break in the hot weather really happened!
Oh--pardon my manners!
Happy Anniversary to Carolyn and Charlie, and to Ashley and Michael!
Can only see Spidey's handiwork at our nest. I'm really feeling like an empty nester now! Glad I have all of you guys to fill the void!
Think that I really will clean up after the herons tomorrow morning, no matter what. Hoping that if Hubby's at work, (LOL) he won't be arrested for overusage of water, and can come and post bail. If they arrest him too, guess we'll have to rely on Jim to bail us out, all right! :oD
I'll take a couple of pictures, and you all will see why I'm having fits. Our entire piece of real estate is white-washed!!!! :o[
35 yrs. ago this evening I was settling in at the hospital in hopes of preventing labor. Christie wasn't quite big enough or old enough and doctor wanted to delay the c-section if at all possible. It was not to be; went into labor shortly after midnight and they scurried to get an OR team in....and Christie was born at 2:15AM. Seems like yesterday.
Evening Everyone! Haven't read everything yet, but see that Lolly's little Jacob has a sore eye. I remember getting one of those around the third grade---it was horrible.Hope he's better soon. Gonna check out IWS nests & find out the latest.Hope everything is alright. And maybe they should have birth control for black bear girls. Perhaps the separations have diminished Lily's maternal instincts.
If Lily is pregnant again, would she know that...perhaps that is why she isn't being as Motherly as she should. Don't know about bears, but deet run off their last offspring when they are expecting another fawn.
Thanks Wanda - that was good. I know we were heard.
OKay Finished watching the taped show with hubby. Finished eating my juicy cantaloupe!
New week coming up at us! Remember that I did send out email about JULY 21 Wed Deb aka Raydoll AND then on JULY 25 Sunday Pam aka Pammysue have birthdays
Wanda depending on how the tomatoes seem to be ripening..I might pick some Monday.... feel I should test drive one first BUT I did promise you the very first one....
Judie----severe thunderstorm warming for FX. Co.! Stay safe. Heading for tub. WIll check back in a little while. Goodnight to any turning in. Prayers already said for all needs....will certainly say an extra one at 11 tomorrow AM for Ajay.
I'm getting here a little late for the group prayer, but said it anyway, with a big AMEN! Sure hoping for some positive medical reports tomorrow!
Getting tired, so think I'll call it a day. SOOOOO grateful it's cooler here tonight! Supposed to get down into the 60s tonight! The night light is on, the porch light is automatic, and the eye scanner security is enabled. Prayers said for everyone. God bless, and good night! Will talk to you tomorrow. Sweet dreams! Love all you guys! :o]
Sorry I am late answering your question, Margy...GG is doing really well. It has been nearly a month that she has had a turn-around in her health. She described her morning as such: "I got my coffee and sat on the porch and there in front of me came 2 fawns out of the woods. They both ran round and round in circles, over and over again. There mom stood at the edge of the woods and watched them as though she was so proud of her babies. Then they all left and then a beautiful breeze came and touched my face softly, like a baby's skin. I will always remember this morning...it was beautiful". Brought tears to my eyes as she spoke so beautifully of her experience.
Best wishes for your daughter-in-law's surgery today Paula... will be thinking of her, you and the family...prayers for all, and all the health care folks
Still Cam is Down, stuck at 0139 this morning don't see any action at the live feed for NCTC yet...just hear little birdies
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRISTIE! cute baby pic of her on FB, Lynn!
Margy, wow! Was it too dark to get pictures of the flock? I've never seen more that 3 at once, that must have been amazing!
Quiet, empty nest again. Well, even I am convinced now that Palmer will not return. Godspeed,Palmer! Live well and make lots of babies when you grow up!
Andy, hope you don't have too much trouble with cleaning the Poop Deck today!
I'm off...my landlord/neighbors have commissioned me to do some yard work at their new farm so I'm going to get started early before it rains and/or gets too hot.
Lynne---re" Army Wives---don't know but suspect there won't be happy homecomings for all.... :(
Rained some here early this AM, but not enough to be of benefit. Cloudy, muggy....sounds like more showers coming. PLEASE! Especially for Megan.
Christie was a scrawny little baby. My FIL could hold her in the palm of his hand! Had to use hospital preemie diapers on her for a couple of months....there was no way to get pins through a cloth diaper cause it had to be folded so many times!
Cool and rainy here this morning. I am not sure how long the rain will last. We are about ready to pack up and leave. I hope we don't have to pack the car in the rain. It does seem to be slackening up now, so I think we will be okay.
Fell asleep last night listening to the glorious sound of heavy rain last night. So very welcome.
Wanda, such a lovely morning experience for GG. I think it is wonderful that she is able to enjoy such moments. Makes for wonderful memories, too.
Andy, do use caution with the cleanup -- you really don't need a respiratory infection. Besides, if you are sick, who will woman our security alarm?
I suspect Dr. Bearfreud will be seeing Hope someday and treating her for separation anxiety and a severe inferiority complex. Sure wish Lily would step up and be consistent.
Paula, will be thinking of Ajay this morning. I know she's going to be just fine ♥
Happy real birthday to Christie.
Off to finish coffee and newspaper. Then will do some ironing as my imaginary ironer really is imaginary.
Hi Dana, you're posting just fine. I am absolutely sure that Andy will create a thumb print security system for you -- after she finishes cleaning up bird poop.
Well, my imaginary ironer friend has been here and finished the task. About time, too.
Now off to watch a murder trial and contemplate any needed changes/updates to the course syllabus for Fall. Going to have to get serious about that real soon.
Good to hear from Shirley this morning.
Can't help thinking about when I had my disc surgery. Anesthesiologist came in, introduced himself, asked if I were nervous about anything. I said yes. He asked what. I said you. He asked why. I said because you could kill me. He promised he wouldn't -- he kept his promise.
Hi ya', Jim, and all just coming in! Yes, if on schedule, Ajay should be at least in the OR suite. Judie, sure glad that ironing got done! When do classes start for you? Bet George will be happy when Shirley gets home!
So, Judie is the guilty party! Hoarding all the rain! The nerve!
Just cam in from watering. It was 77 when I started, it is now 83 and heading up. Possibility of pop up showers this evening and more possibility of rain later on this week. Time to do the rain dance.
Happy Birthday to Christie! Need to find her baby picture. Happy Birthday to you too, Lynn. ☺ I always thought it should be a day celebrated by the Mother!

Lynn, just opened Michael's and then Laurel's wedding pictures. Wow, have not looked at them for a while. The interesting thing is to look at their flower girls who are now teenagers!
cute commentaries, Lolly, regarding Jack's birthday greetings, and the fiance/girlfriend thing with Michael and Ashley

Gotta run!

Sounds like a precise plan with Ajay and Paula's and the family's plans....
Prayers for a good outcome on all fronts....and also for all our others here with prayer needs
been listening, have not seen nor heard hide nor hair of Palmer...
glad to read that Liberty had a little stint in the nest Saturday morning...
the picture on my avatar, might be Wanda's first tomato...
have a couple of others that might be ready first....
enjoy your totally family day, Jo...
reminds me of a cartoon, Roly Poly, a totally chocolate breakfast
(in which, the kids traded duties with the parents for a day and this is how they thought breakfast should be )
sounds like Lynn had choco and peanut butter for breakfast!
got to scram...
Will be thinking of you all...
Nice to hear from Shirley this morning too !
xox
Mornin', Steve. Thanks for the new thread.
Thanks for the call over, Margy.
Thanks, Lynn for the recipe and for the picture of Carolyn and Charlie. Both look nice. lol
To second Jo's question -- chocolate icing? Giant peanut butter cup?
Happy anniversary to Michael and Ashley.
Thanks for callover, Margy.

I get to pay $682.00 for that MRI
:(
Howdy, all.
Getting ready to head to hospital for a little while. Surgery scheduled for 11am on Monday.
Love the tomato pic, Margy.
Congrats to all the wedding anniversaries!
Wonder if Lib eating the fish in the nest the other night was our sign that Palmer has departed?
Dana, hope the Dr can find something on the MRI, glad you were able to make it through the procedure. Hope relief comes your way soon.
Paula who is having surgery?????
Hello all!
Just a quick pop in to say hi and wish Carolyn and Charlie and Michael and Ashley Happy Anniversary!!
Dana, good to see you back and prayers for your MRI results to be good.
Paula, prayers for Ajay's surgery tomorrow...discectomy,right?

Looks a bit warmish back East yet, and we are having a heat wave out here.
C(°Ù¿°)D Jim
Good morning, Dana. Good to see your smiling face on the blog again.
C(°Ù¿°)D Jim
There's one eaglet on nest at WE, but PH has a crow visitor looking for nestovers.
C(°Ù¿°)D Jim
Hi Jim hope your doing well. No allergies this year?
It took over 5 minutes just for this computer to refresh. Couldn't do anything till hour-glass changed.
It made me very happy to see Dana posting today.
Hi Dana!
It also made me happy to see Shirley reporting while she relaxes in a beautiful, cool place.
Everyone else makes me happy with their postings esp. of peanut butter cake with choco icing! : )
Maybe Lib was the finale of Palmer and the nest Paula.
I see that old crow Jim.
I hope #07 is okay. Just waiting for his fishing lessons.
Crow just flew off.
The two TH twins were off early this morning.
Got caught for a phone call... I need to read again but from FB
Lily the Black Bear July 18, 2010 (10:56 AM CDT) Lily and Hope spent the night about 1/2 mile apart. Lily has moved back towards Hope and we observed Hope actively searching for Lily. -- SM
I saw pictures of Solo fledged from the Sidney nest.
She is mighty pretty. There may be an issue with a nictitating eye but the postings said nothing to be concerned about.
All the pictures show a beautiful juvie and action pictures of her flying.
Would like to see some Palmer action once more. The people at NCTC probably see a lot of her.
July 18, 2010 (10:56 AM CDT) Lily and Hope spent the night about 1/2 mile apart. Lily has moved back towards Hope and we observed Hope actively searching for Lily. -- SM
Hi, Jim. Yep, heat wave here, too....blah! But better than snow!
Oh dear. Does that mean that Hope is being separated from Lily again
Hedgie?
I think I just heard Palmer!
No, it wasn't Palmer. Sorry. I had the sound off. The eagle calls were from the WE nest.
BEagle, report from yesterday said that GPS showed they were not together........more drama we don't need. MTBR.
Thank you BEagle. BEagle can you get my email addy and send me a message? I need to ask you something? Do you get the Eagle_Momster mail. If so my email addy would be on there. Or just about anyone you email to has my email address.
Dana -praying that the MRI results will have an answer to ending all your pains! That would be so wonderful.
Now how about all these anniversaries on today's date!
Congratulations and may you share many many more years together
Carolyn & Charles
Michael & Ashley
Your parents are proud of you!
BEagle - look up around 12:26pm my comment and then down to 12:32pm
Lynn's comment.....
lol You see that even us old timers repeat the news
I am guessing that more pathology reports will be up and coming about Phoenix.
Surely others are coming to the same conclusions that the pneumonia was a result of an already weakened state.
I will see what I can do Dana.
Time for me to get busy. All this eagle watching has put me behind.
Now I understand Jo. Post away!
Post scriptum
I have little tomatoes growing now. Since I put up a cage around the plant to keep the deer out.
I WILL HAVE TOMATOES! : D
Thanks Paula for video and Mema Jo for the one on Phenix-The Tribute was beautiful, painful and teary.
Going to lay down awhile. Been sitting too long maybe.

Happy Sunday to Everyone in (quiet) Eagleland!

Happy Anniverseries for the younger generation~~~Carolyn & Charlie and Michael and Ashley!!

Above the rubble at the Park, I added some osprey cam and wren pictures. A lot of the trees were cut down and sawed into pieces by special tree crew.Staff working on Wed. AM were blocked near the Visitor Ctr., but could drive around on the grass. They want to leave shed alone until insurance comes.I didn't get a chance to see, but they said Nature Study loop was a mess & a lot of cleaning took place there.I heard our giant beech tree that has a "cave" under the roots is still standing!
The pics are very descriptive Loretta of the damage.
Loved the pics of the osprey being fostered!
Waiting to hear more about the
Wren Family.......
Going to take an afternoon break

Ex got dibs on Christies' actual b-day for dinner (tomorrow), so we are going to Outback today. Just had a piece of my share of her cake to tide me over! Still as good as it was last night!
You are bad! Enjoy the Outback!
NOW HEAR THIS! British (no big surprise) studies have shown that tea is MORE hydrating than plain water! How 'bout that? Knew I was doing something right..of course, mine is iced, and in the report they only showed them drinking it hot----and it looked VERY weak!
I know I said I was taking a break

I just witnessed the 2 adult's fly in
and with their live feed it was spectacular. The chick gave all the clues that it was about to happen.
Now I may be a goner for a while........
Lynn - do you mean that guy you didn't recognize is taking your daughter out to dinner? Well I never!
OMG!!! I just wrote a note and Blogger said---Service Unavailable--Error 503! Let's see if this works.....
Yep, Jo...he's the one! Just realized something else that MAY have caused my lapse----no glasses! Him, that is. Guess he either is wearing contacts or had laser surgery! LOL!
Will try again~~~~
Shirley's vacation notes are very refreshing!!!
Dana, hope they will fix you up better after your new test. Prayers for you.
I've seen mention of PB,etc. on here & want to tell you what I bought last week at Safeway. They had an interesting sounding ice cream---Chocolate Moose Tracks!!I usually stay away from fat & sugar, but this was on sale and Light. Choc. ice cream (have in vanilla, too), pieces of choc., tiny choc. PB cups, and swirled Moose Tracks fudge!!!Yum Yum
Yum to Lynn. Outback sounds wonderful!! Enjoy!
Comment on your pics, Loreeta!
Loretta, try the Turkey Hill Peanut Butter chocolate. MUCH better than moose tracks!!!

I was just watching the 2 chicks - 1 had food in its talon and was very concerned about what was going on out and about - the other chick was eying up the food and almost snatched it!!!
Too funny
It took a while for the live feed to start. I almost gave up on it and then the commercial came on and after that the feed started.
MT Nest
Home from church and have had a panda nap and lunch.
Loved Lynn's idea of posting a wedding pic of her daughter so I did so on fb of A and M. Now going to load it on to here.
kickngbird, that was pretty much how I read it from my research. Sad. And you're right about her last view being peaceful. Just a shame that she can't be buried at "home".
Time for me to finish getting ready to get outta here. See all y'all later. Enjoy your afternoon and evening.
Thanks for that bit of info KBird.
It's the same reason we lost little
Hugo the stork a few years back. They completely demolished that nest and actually remade most of it. So far so good.
It is just so sad because it likes strikes without much warning.
I think we all want to hear a sneeze at the nest!
Okay, have loaded wedding pics on my blog Family pics. Thanks Lynn for the idea.
I am on the computer not the laptop. Would someone please send me the directions again to get rid of the privacy thingy each time I log on.
Beautiful pictures of the childrens' wedding, Lolly.
Recent wedding of our gd - the hardbound book they had made for the parents was awesome. With so many pics being taken - they picked out just the right ones!
It is the thing that say website security and to see the avatars.
I don't think anyone would mind hearing the shrill screaming Palmer!
While on my blog saw where Wanda had asked a question about the burp cloths.
Wanda, I just decorated prefold diapers.
Is this what Paula emailed you before Lolly...... if so - save it cause I almost couldn't find it. Mits gave it to me.......

Breezy at the nest but it is still MT
Headed out with hubby to get dinner..
BBShortly.....
Dana I'm glad that jet didn't come and swoop you up!
I wanted you to see this question a newbie to eagle watching had posted since Phoenix location was mentioned on our posts a few minutes ago.
"I have one question. Would Phoenix had been able to see the babysitting tree from the position she was in when she died?"
artist
Artist:
"Yes, Mom and Phoenix were facing each other, as reported by those on the ground" Smiley
Nature can be very touching.
I keep forgetting to say that those baby burp clothes are so adorable and sweet. Lolly, you do well.
What a great idea!
Dana. When I lived in TN and Kansas there were always tornado warnings.
A tornado that's above you can sound like a freight train going through the house. It is indeed scary and can take you right to the arms of God.
If it doesn't touch down and simply moves on then we are okay.
There is some concern about #07 on the WE nest according to the chat group.
He is out of sight from the cam but can be heard.
I do hope he snaps out of it.
BBL
Lily the Black Bear July 18, 2010 (5:18 PM CDT) Hope has succeeded in tracking down Lily, but Lily does not seem too happy about being found! We're waiting to see what develops. -- SM
WHAT is this bears problem?!!!!! Get a grip Lily! Be a mommy!!!!
The cam is so quiet. Where is the loud hum? Spooky!☺
Just back from dinner. Need to turn live feed back on..... Interesting.
Breezy but no wind noise. I only get some static if I turn speaker volume up to the limit.
Yea.......what's wrong with that mother bear!!!!
Don't you just want to get right in her face?
Well.................
The tt shells are still in the nest.
I guess we could watch them NOT move.
BBL
Big fight on the TH nest. Feathers flying everywhere.
Adult, who dutifully brought the young ones food, had to scoot to save his feathers.
LOL. They are still at it. The smaller one just nailed the big one.
I guess he's fed up with being bullied.
WOW! That tomato is a beauty...very healthy looking. I can already visualize 3 or 4 BLTs with that one tomato:) Might be ready by Wednesday...if Myrtle the turtle doesn't come up the road and get it;)
LOL Like that! Watch the turtle shells not move!
Okay, Jack thinks he has to eat. Gosh, the "elderly" are so demanding. LOL Have my choice of what leftovers to heat up. Life is rough.
Yes, want to get in the face of the so called "mommy" bear and say "Grrrrrrrrrr"! I'd like to show her a thing or two!!!
Here's the forum page with video clips of the tree climber On Hornby Island.
There are several clips.

Dr. Sharpe has been notified about #07 on the WE nest. Good thing.
BBL
Was watching TH for a while. Good news concerning Dr Sharpe being notified.
I am heading into TV for a program that hubby taped.
BBILW
Glad there's still plenty of daylight left at TH. Hope Dr. Sharpe gets there relatively quickly to check things out.
Hi, gang! Back with a full tummy and a nice time with my kids!
Lily needs some mothering lessons for sure! ARGH!
Is it WE or TH that there is conern? I thought it was West End but now you are talking TH.
They said Dr. Sharpe was busy with other nest issues. :(
I am so glad for technology. Laurel is in Houston and texted me a picture of Jacob's eye. I encouraged her to get him to Minor Emergency Center. Turns out he has a sty that has become infected. Poor baby has a very swollen eye. Too bad something like that happens on a special weekend.
I was referring to #07 at the WE nest at 7:55.
I have the web page that has all three of the IWS nests running on one page.
There is only one chat on the page, so the group talks about all the nests. Well.....TH and WE.
The Pelican Harbor nest has no activity now. Similar to the royal nest.
Here the link for the IWS group page.
http://www.iws.org/bald_eagles/nestchat.html
Poor Jacob. Bet he's miserable!
Yes, Laurel said it was bothering him, but the doctor said the meds should act quickly. Hope so! She has tonight and tomorrow at a friends house and then she comes home on Tuesday.
Thanks, BEagle!
What have you seen that causes a concern?
evening all!
Poor Jacob! I sure hope those meds act FAST!
Been very busy day...revamped garden, replanted, mulched, blah blah blah.
I have posted the picture of the monarch larvae on my blog.
Heading for the shower now...been looking forward to it since the first gallon of sweat broke out this morning!
BEagle, I can't find any current forum/chat anyplace!! What am I missing??
Hi, Lolly, Lynn, and BEagle,
Ooooh--poor Jacob!
Did you copy and paste the link into your browser bar?
Think that I really will clean up after the herons tomorrow morning, no matter what. Hoping that if Hubby's at work, (LOL) he won't be arrested for overusage of water, and can come and post bail. If they arrest him too, guess we'll have to rely on Jim to bail us out, all right! :oD
I'll take a couple of pictures, and you all will see why I'm having fits. Our entire piece of real estate is white-washed!!!! :o[
I just love the eagle sounds at WE and the picture is rather eerie, but beautiful.
Will be back later--dinner beckons.
Type iws.org into your browser bar.
Look for "interactive" and when a menu pops up, click on the first selection.
On this page you will see a sentence above the three nests that says
if your connection is greater than
500 kbps to click 'here.'
Then you can enter a page with a view all three nests and a live chat.
I did, BEagle but there wasn't any forum there!
What is your connection power range?
I copied and pasted and got the three with blog.
Certainly is noisy listening to TH
Okay, finally got it, BEagle! TY.
Hi Andy!!! Glad you are cooling off. It was still 90 here at 8!
Those nests are windy Lolly.
But isn't it nice to see all three nests?
It usually takes a while for the blog to open up, but it will.
35 yrs. ago this evening I was settling in at the hospital in hopes of preventing labor. Christie wasn't quite big enough or old enough and doctor wanted to delay the c-section if at all possible. It was not to be; went into labor shortly after midnight and they scurried to get an OR team in....and Christie was born at 2:15AM. Seems like yesterday.
Hi everyone,
Just stopping by before going in search of the sandperson.
Deet at PaPix.
We could watch the turtle shells not move but we could also watch for agent 00Jo to come sneaking past Boris's artwork.
Wishing Jacob fast sty relief, Lolly.
Sure hope #07 is okay and if in trouble, can be rescued.
Sounds as if most of us had a decent day in spite of the heat. Some thunder/lightning here so will probably shut down.
Turning my light off early but will leave the night light on for others coming in. Andy, please set our alarm, thank you.
Pleasant dreams for all. Prayers for Kailey, Karen, Delphia, Dana, and Ajay.
HOW ABOUT A GROUP PRAYER AT 10:30PM FOR ALL OUR AILING FRIENDS AND RELATIVES?
I'm ready - I'm going to pray the prayer Margy sent to us.
BBILW
Evening Everyone! Haven't read everything yet, but see that Lolly's little Jacob has a sore eye. I remember getting one of those around the third grade---it was horrible.Hope he's better soon.
Gonna check out IWS nests & find out the latest.Hope everything is alright.
And maybe they should have birth control for black bear girls. Perhaps the separations have diminished Lily's maternal instincts.
AMEN♥
I was 2 minutes late, but will say a prayer now.
Remember that I did send out email about
JULY 21 Wed Deb aka Raydoll AND then on JULY 25 Sunday Pam aka Pammysue have birthdays
Missed the prayer time, but earlier today and will again pray Margy's prayer she sent out. It is beautiful as well as so appropriate.
Wonderful and touching idea Wanda ...you see I am late too because I was reading downwards insteads of upwards....
thank you...
prayer, is on the wing
Late Good Evening, Eagle Pals
xo
Wanda
depending on how the tomatoes seem to be ripening..I might pick some Monday....
feel I should test drive one first BUT I did promise you the very first one....
xo ☺
went to the swimming pool in Berkeley Springs park with James earlier...now THAT is the way to keep feeling young...
it's a great little pool....
and it was a great hot day to be doing that kind of thing
sorry to hear of Jacob's eye ailment Lolly....
hope it responds quickly to medicine...
always tough when the little ones are ailing....
very interesting, Dana's report of her earthquake experience
Good to see that Dana could post today...yikes expensive MIR -
praying for a good outcome !
Wanda
How is GG ??
Miss the daily reports
I really hope there will be a late night report on Lily/Hope. I am interested in knowing that Lily didn't run off from Hope again!..
So how cool, Lynne has got some monarch caterpillars
You have a little time to think of some names for them Lynne
It's late
I have a class in the morning, a whole bunch of stuff to do after than and then working 4-12
Better put things including myself to bed here
Great pictures, all of them, Loretta
Good Night, folks
God Bless Us, Every One
xo ☺ ♥
but..my morning will start with prayers for Ajay and everyone else with health concerns, AND soaking my plants with water, especially the tomatoes !
xo 'Night
Yes, Jo, I am waiting, too, for a late night update on Hope and Lily. I am thinking it will not be good.
We had pop up storms that dumped some heavy rain in some areas, but it went just north of us. sigh....
Said my prayers a little late....was watching Army Wives.
Goodnight, Margy. Hope you were slathered with sunscreen today at the pool! Hope your day goes okay tomorrow---long one for sure... :(
I, too, worry about Hope.
We #07 is getting fed by dad now.
Reminds me of Palmer.
That stage where they mantle the food brought in and then chortle when being fed.
Positive progression.
Gee it is late.
The mom just arrived at the nest with #07 and dad.
They will help their child.
Goodnight and have a sweet sleep. Have a lovely day tomorrow.
Judie----severe thunderstorm warming for FX. Co.! Stay safe.
Heading for tub. WIll check back in a little while. Goodnight to any turning in. Prayers already said for all needs....will certainly say an extra one at 11 tomorrow AM for Ajay.
Hi, BEagle, Lynn, and Lolly,
I'm getting here a little late for the group prayer, but said it anyway, with a big AMEN!
Hope/Lily's update is there.
Link to latest update on our Bears
Well I guess I can get ready to bed down since Hope is with Lily tonight.
Good Night All
Prayers for all
Hugs to all (( hugs )) ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Just do not know what to think about Lily and think the researchers feel the same. Poor little Hope!
Heading to the shower. Nite all!
Sweet dreams!
Jo, that link hooks me up with a guy named Mike Werdebaugh??
Guess I will do some searching:)
Ok...found update on Hope and Lily. Mother and child, sleeping together tonight!:)
GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE
SWEET DREAMS
PRAYERS FOR ALL
Loading a pic for Christie's b-day!
Better report than last night about Hope and Lily. Breaks my heart that she has to be such a wary and fearful little bear..........
Will see you in the morning light. Rest peacefully, one and all.
Good Morning Eagle ♀'s and ♂'s -
Best wishes for your daughter-in-law's surgery today Paula... will be thinking of her, you and the family...prayers for all, and all the health care folks
Still Cam is Down, stuck at 0139 this morning
don't see any action at the live feed for NCTC yet...just hear little birdies
Great little report of GG's morning with the deer, Wanda....
I'm watching Finney, see parent and one chick, waiting for Mom Osprey to move to see the other chick.....
looks like a rainy day at Loch of the Lowe's
Hope it is a good day for everyone
xo
Okay, Mom Osprey flew out at Finney's - now I see that second chick....
hear a red-shouldered hawk at NCTC now
Happy 35th Birthday to your daughter Christie, Lynn ! Hope it is a great day for her.....xo ♥
Wanda
tomatoes get one more day of Sunshine, Vitamins D & K..and the benefits of the artificial "rain"
Andy
best wishes with the Poop Shoot Detail at your place, yes wear those gloves and maybe a little mouth-nose mask and glasses
Hope all things look good at all the nests and wildlife sites everyone is watching
James and I saw a flock of about 12 wild turkeys last night, two adult females and a whole bunch of juveniles...they were HUGE
Time for me to get ready to head out
xo ♥
PS
I sent an email to Steve about the Still Cam being down
Good morning all!
BBL
oh Lynn....how about Army Wives last night! So sad. Wonder where the writers are going with this?
Good morning one and all!
Good morning.
Cool and rainy here this morning. I am not sure how long the rain will last. We are about ready to pack up and leave. I hope we don't have to pack the car in the rain. It does seem to be slackening up now, so I think we will be okay.
Good morning, everyone.
BBL
Safe drive home, Shirley. So happy you had some time away to relax.
Going to say bye for now. I need to go get my stuff organized. Check-out time is 11:00.
Happy birthday Christie and greetings to anyone else out there with a special event.
Hi, Judie. We will certainly try to have a safe drive home.
I will see everyone out there later.
Still raining here.
Good Morning ALL in Eagle Land.
Internet Explorer just wants to freeze the homepage. So I'm using Foxfire.
Prayers for Paula's DIL Ajay and drs. and family.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO Christie
Shirley safe travels home. Glad you had a rest.
Need to read comments.
It shows no one has posted after me. So I'm checking this way.
Also Andy sometimes I worry about that "eye scanner". You know my eyes (both) still are acting up.Can you set up a "thumb print" for me lol
Well that showed everyone left. Probably over on fb. Just my luck.
Is the problem at WE or TH?
Good Morning everyone
I need to read comments & check out some cams. I see our still cam is down but I do have the live feed running.
BRB
BBL
Happy Birthday Christie - have a very special day. I'll need to look you up on FB with more wishes
It is great to have it raining as you get ready to leave vacation land to come home - safe journey Shirley!
Well I'll be darn - Judie why did you keep all the rain down in your neck of the woods?
Thinking of Ajay & Paula/family.
Praying this will be the answer to remove all the pain.
Good morning! Ajay's surgery is starting soon if not already. Prayers for Ajay and the doctor.

Good MorninG, aLL

C(°Ù¿°)D Jim
Hi ya', Jim, and all just coming in!
Yes, if on schedule, Ajay should be at least in the OR suite.
Judie, sure glad that ironing got done! When do classes start for you?
Bet George will be happy when Shirley gets home!
Anybody know when Palmer fledged?? Doesn't seem long enough to have her leaving for good.
But maybe....
Sometimes, one or both parents waiting for the chick(s) to come for it, then eating it, IS a sign that they have moved on.
C(°Ù¿°)D Jim
Jo, I put Christie's baby pic on my Lair, too! Thanks for all b-day greetings for my girl!
Happy
Birthday to you too, Lynn. ☺ I always thought it should be a day celebrated by the Mother!
Plamer fledged on either June 13 or 14th, Jim.....so 6 weeks!
Thanks, Lolly. My Mom always sent Grams a single red rose her own birthday!
Whoops---make that PALMER, not Plamer!!! Duh!
Have seen Christie's picture. So cute! Love the hair do. That is how I always combed Laurel's hair and she had a lot.
Need to get with it! Need to walk and then we are going to Fort
Worth to Central Mkt. Have already watered plants.
Have a great day!
NEW THREAD IS UP.
