Good morning, Steve. Thank you and wishing you and family a happy, if hot, holiday weekend.
Paula, I forget that maybe you already have a dental appointment. Hope so. Painful mouth (and feet) can make life absolutely miserable. Hope you have some relief today.
Feeling a little better. May go for groceries later to stock up for the long weekend. Bright and sunshiny here.
So far, this season, we haven't had problems with our water getting muddy when running the hose for a long period of time (she said, with fingers crossed).
GG has city water, so no problem there with watering garden and flowers, except for a bigger water bill! She has an abundance of beans and squash...a really nice garden this year:) She picked some squash and fried it yesterday...did a good job, too. Some days, she remembers how to cook...others, she can't figure out which pan to use or which setting on the stove is best:(
Paula, hope you don't have to suffer this Holiday weekend with that Bad, Bad, tooth. When it comes to a toothache, the Dentist should give RX for morphine!;) I have had sensitive teeth for many years and sometimes, after eating very cold or very hot foods, my whole mouth hurts badly enough to need something stronger than over-the-counter pills. I have used Sensodyne and others for many years and it helps, but for the past 6 months, nothing helps:( HELP!!
For our Family Friday dinner, we had squash casserole and green beans and potatoes/ham, all out of GG's garden (potatoes from ours...ham from grocery store). Cant's wait to have tomatoes. GG has had a few from her patio plant and one Julliette plant in the garden. Sooo good!
Wanda, I have an abscessed tooth...an infection in the gum. The tooth doesn't hurt, but the swollen gums do! It feels like some shoved a golf ball up under my gums, although it's feeling better this morning. The swelling is not as bad this morning as it was last night.
I just called and spoke with Lynn/Hedgie. Still not getting our of cyberspace! She said that Margy texted her from work this morning that her computer needed working on when she gets home. Sounded like a virus on hers. Wanda I am glad your pc is not affected.
Judie - hope you feel better when you awaken from your morning nap. I'm wondering what you had eaten yesterday evening 00JO signing off
Good Morning Dana -- so everyone wants to know where you are going to go in this motor home you are going to rent?
Lolly - I see you gave me a good clue about the item Jack is making for our Eagle Raffle.. I'm not able to narrow it down with just that one clue. Will there be more clues to come?
Paula - sure hope the infection in your gum goes away so that the tooth can have work done on it.
The Russians must have Hedgie....I think it has to do with her employment at GM. If they torture our gal. We MOMSTERS will hunt them down and do worse to them.
I wanted a 19 ft. just right size for me to rent to head for Colorado. Can't find any for the length of time I want. See I need to drive and when in pain. Pull into place and rest. Me and Little Man just driv'n along. But looks like it is a NO GO can't find 19footer to rent all are taken.grr
Need to go get some groceries for tonight's cookout. Tom, Kathryn and Hunter will be joining Will and me. No big plans for the 4th. Tom and Kathryn will be going to a friend's house. Will said he might ask a few of his friends over.
Need to clean out the refrigerator before I can put more stuff in there.
Hi, Gang, No time to catch up very well on the blog--Hubby's feeling a lot better, and antsy as can be! Wants to hit the road and go shopping, to movie, out to lunch, and so on!
Just wanted to check in so you don't worry. Gotta run--will BBL!
Ha! Guess who could not find ribs at the commissary? Well, you are correct. Oh well, I think something different that we rarely have -- jazzed up burgers, so there.
Dana, doesn't really matter about the form of transportation as long as you and Little Man are having fun together. It will be a nice visit with your daughter.
Shirley, know what you mean about cleaning out frig to make room. How can two people accumulate so much food? Well, never mind answering that.
Paula, hope your gum(s) are still better. Please get to the dentist soon.
Missed Palmer, of course. BUT, can see the empty nest.
00Jo: yesterday was water and a BLT for dinner because we don't like to eat a lot before a play -- we fall asleep. So, don't know what happened. Feel better today but tired from lack of sleep and a little dehydrated.
Sure miss Lynn.
My counter-intelligence people are suspicious that Jack is making an eagle that will blow the Russians out of the Potomac.
Heading out to Laurel's very soon. Potato salad is made, have groceries to take to her house. Still do not know if Michael and family will be there or not. Ah, my son!!!! Grrrrr!
Just got back from Irvine, heading out to picnic soon. Won't be there long...going fishing with Steve in the AM. They had no luck today :( Steve did catch a striper, but only 16 inches and 18 is the minimum. DRAT! Maybe we'll do better tomorrow.
JUDIE, PAULA, Mr ANDY, glad you are all on the med.
Hope Lynn and Margy and NORMA (we miss you) get computers straightened out FAST.
small quakes today in Arkansas, a 1.8 and a 2.0 and then a 1.7 in Tennessee. Think I have an earthquake tracker link on my blog if you want to see exactly where.
Well I have been slicing and dicing cukes and onions and now the sour cream dressing is on them and they are in the frig. I just may be the only one who eats it but sure tasted good.
I am about to go get dressed for Mass Need a cup of coffee first... I bet tomorrow with the heat that I will be having an indoor picnic! lol
Lily the Black Bear July 3, 2010 (5:48 PM CDT) Had trouble locating Hope again today -- but finally succeeded! We are still working out the peculiarities of her radio-collar signal. She enjoyed the meal worms that arrived today. Later she was seen eating low-bush blueberries. -- SM
I love that moniker...00JO, has a nice ring to it:)
Hope Judie feels Tip Top tomorrow! Hope we ALL feel Tip To[ tomorrow!
We have just about everything ready for GG's picnic tomorrow. Gene is making his rib receipe, my receipe and JUDIE'S receipe. They are all lying in the fridge in the Eagle Express...thank goodness for that extra space. There are 30, maybe more pounds of ribs and that takes up a lot of space. They will all marinate overnight and Gene will start grilling them at GG's after church. I will come home and take a PANDA NAP...no, no, just kidding! We are starting our picnic at 6pm...anyone of you that are in the neighborhood, stop in :)
I am surprised that they are still going on with the fireworks display, as dry as it is. Haven't heard anything otherwise.
Hi, just relaxing after a busy day. We had dinner--shrimp with bacon. Added some mushrooms on the skewers and some grilled veggies and corn on the cob on the side. Very good! Then we went to see the Spotsylvania fireworks. Fruit pies and cheesecake for dessert after the fireworks.
I am going to pass the ribs recipe on to Will. He has always liked ribs, and he likes to try new recipes.

Good Morning 00JO and all! Judie, you have talent. LOL
Boy, did I sleep in. Did not sleep well Thursday night. Slept til nine this morning. Wow! Never do that.
Busy day before heading to Laurel's. Need to buy groceries and make potato salad.
We have had a little rain each day all this past week and more is predicted for this next week. Love it!
Paula, thought you were doing better. So sorry you had a rough time last night. I can easily relate!
Good just barely morning out there!
Slept in a bit this morning.

Need to go water the plants and clean out the refrigerator. BBL.
Shirley I'm not saying a word about your small cataracts. Only that I'm glad they are small.
I think it was Andy who mentioned small cataracts, Dana. I do have them, but don't think I had mentioned that, at least not recently.
Dana, that sure sounds like a long drive!
What was Karen's blog name?
I think it is Karen, Dana.
Are you visiting friends or family in Colorado, Dana?
PALMER ALERT!!
Oh my, I see her in the shadows. Sneaked in there on me. I have the volume turned down because of the whine.
Putting in her lunch order :)
I see Palmer. Slipped right in.
Good afternoon everyone!
Dana's daughter lives in CO
I think the hum is gone for now...
Hi BEagle and Shirley...
I only heard her cause I was working near the computer
Aww, there she went
Hello and goodbye from Palmer!
Hi Paula. Gosh I am glad you are feeling better!
I encourage a lot, a lot of water drinking.
Short visit. A few squeals and take-off.
Thanks, BEagle.
Getting windy at the nest.
Hope the worst is behind you, Paula, and that you feel much better today.
Gotta take care of some chores. BBL.
Nice and breezy and cool looking.
Much to do......bbl.
Knock on wood...still feeling better. Thanks for all your well wishes.

Indoors will be a good place to be tomorrow Jo!

Good luck catching a big one tomorrow!
ME TOO! Thanks Jo and if I don't catch you before your picnic, hope you have fun!
I think there are only 3 chicks at CT, maybe one osprey has fledged!
I think our outing is going to be an inning too, Jo.
No mention as of yet on ME Forum about CT...
I am out the door for Mass.. Will check back when I return....
All 4 at CT....little bugger was hiding :)
It's late in the day, but I hope you all will ...

Had to re-read Lynne's comment. Thought at first her husband caught a very short stripper.
Hello Jim. Wishing you a very happy 4th of July. Doing anything special?
Off to take care of hunger pangs.
lol Darn that little bugger!
Easy to hide with so many feathers in that CT osprey nest!
Want to watch some news
We ate pizza for dinner
Have the volume turned up for our nest
BBILW
Just heard Palmer, sounded like she flew either into or out of the tree
Heard her again...guess that was into the tree
Palmer still calling for din din
I hear Palmer!
We jave tpigjdpwm
LOL, make that we have touchdown!
Looks like Lib was on the nest, don't know if there's a fish yet
Ah. Food at last. Both parents were there...one in site, the other above.
Paula, what is a tpigjdpwm?
Oh I see. A touchdown.
Where's the food?
What in the world kind of noise is Palmer making... I just came to cam and saw her
Oh Oh Now I hear her......
Who is she calling I wonder...... ?
No fish, just a squawking fledgling!
She's not digging in, if there is food.
She makes so many different sounds..
I've never heard these sounds for eagles on the Cornell site..... lol
A good reason for screaming..NO FOOD:(
Well, she is picking at something.
Maybe a small frog?
Sure seems to me that it is some kind of new food.. Maybe Palmer caught it.
I think if she caught it she would have been eating it earlier.
Still fussing
There she goes...
Jo, I never heard all those sounds on the Cornell site either! ROFL
In with a fuss and out with a fuss.
Glad you clarified, Paula. Thought for a moment you might have been into the Chasteberries.
Palmer has certainly made her presence known for the last 30-40 minutes. Never heard such a temper tantrum.
Remember Spunky and the fish!!!
Hide it from everyone and then when they all left - he/she ate it up in the nest.
All Gone
I new to venture onto the deck and help husk all those ears of corn..
It is pleasant out this evening...
BBILW
Oh!
Two adults back on the nest.
Lib took off. Belle is still there.
Belle poofed.
They were checking for leftovers maybe?
Sort of pecked around the nest where Palmer ate.
Late good evening, everyone.
Time for me to turn my light out. Still a bit under the weather but hope that some extra sleep will have me up and ready for our day of celebration.
Leaving the night light on for others coming in. Will return in the a.m. Pleasant eagle dreams.

Mouth has been feeling unbelievably good. Can't believe after all that last night I haven't taken a thing yet today. Must have been the last hurrah!
Wanda, that is A LOT OF RIBS!! I am thanful for my little beer fridge in the basement. Certainly comes in handy at times!
JO, I wonder if that was your fireworks I could hear? Might have been Blue Ridge Summit too.
Michael and Laura stopped off at Ajay's brother's house where they are all swimming. Guess I'll see them in the morning!
I heard a very clear echo from our fireworks However I would venture to say they were Walkersville's 4th of July. I guess it is carnival time!
I'm going to hit 100 and say
Good Night All
Prayers for Karen & Kailey and All
Hugs to All ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
That is one heck of a lot of ribs

Heading for a tpigjdpwm in my bed. See you tomorrow.
Good night and God bless.
Jo, I didn't think of Walkersville!
Sounds like a great menu and a nice evening, Shirley.
I can't wait to try Judie's ribs recipe, too.
Can't believe the time...done chopping, cleaning, baking, boiling and washing for tonight.
Have a good evening!
Hugs to all ♥
Glad this day is done, it has been a loooong and busy one.
GOOD NIGHT MY DEAR FRIENDS
SLEEP WELL
PRAYERS FOR ALL
Shhhhh! I think everyone has gone to bed. We got home from Denton and Jack made me a G & T. Enjoyed the evening. The fireworks in the stadium at North Texas was great. The evening was very enjoyable as we had a heavy rain storm a couple hours earlier and it had cooled the air. Very pleasant out. However, Joey, I mean Elvis. did not sing. The man in charge of the sound system wanted to to shut down. Too much at risk with the rain. Pity!

Heading to the shower. Nite all!
Sweet dreams!
Good morning!
Bright and sunny again today.
Nest is empty.
Morning, all!
What a glorious morning for July 4th! 59° at present, and fresh crisp air!
And Happy 4th of July!
God Bless the USA
Good Morning, Shirley!
I hear a dove and some other birds at the nest.
Lolly, I had to fix that typo! It was totally indicserpible!
Sounds like a great evening for fireworks...too bad Joey couldn't sing!
Hmm, think I heard Palmer...now a clunk in the tree!
AH, There she is! I hear her now.
I hear Palmer!
Good morning, Paula!
Thought I heard Palmer earlier, too, and a clunk at the camera. Was playing a game, so I wasn't sure.
More squeals from our favorite eaglet.
One more cuppa joe and I am ready to tackle the tater salad and zucchine bread!
She's still there...and a clunk or two.
Yes, I hear a clunk or a squeal from time to time.
I am having watermelon for breakfast and thinking I might fall back to sleep.
BBL.
HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY AND THANKS TO THOSE WHO MAKE IT POSSIBLE!
I was able to get the nest this morning. MT but I hear clunking. Someone must be visiting.
Lovely sunshine here this morning. Do wish the humidity would just not return.
Paula, glad your mouth is feeling better and hope that continues at least for all of today. Paula, I forget, is everyone coming to your place?
Lolly, glad you all had such a nice time in Denton.
Wanda, hope everyone has fun at GGs.
Shirley, watermelon for breakfast sounds so refreshing.
Thanks for the feel better thoughts. I am better but not 100% this a.m. Going to get coffee, newspaper, and back to bed.
She's still there...
