Haven't had one in about 3 weeks, so going to sip my gin and tonic and relax, this blog has put me over the edge today.
I just love seeing Tai Shan here, poor SHARON, must have driven her crazy with my ineptness of the computer. One of these days, I am going to take lessons of how to run this thing.
Watching hubbys'plane flying to D.C., just crossed the PA-MD border. 10 mins to landing.

Sorry daughter came in along with my sister and niece and her 3 kids.. Was talking to them awhile... hmmm Mits you and I are kinda dealing with the same stuff tonight I think. Actually I struggle with every weekend,but at least in the summer I can be outside or going places and its not dark for driving home quite as early ,or coming out to parking lots alone etc. etc. Colors int he trees are gorgeous though, and I am sure in W. Va, or its neighboring state LOL, you enjoy that more than the plains of IL. it is a little rocky and hilly along the river though and that is always very pretty. I will do lots of walking along the river/marian area this fall. More time to walk in the daytime now that my 4 days a week job is almost a done deal for good now. Project is about 70 percent complete now.
Wow, this place is asleep! Especially compared to last night that is!
Glo, if that project is only 70% done you could be working all winter on it!
I also hate late dinners, just got done cleaning up. Going to check some e-mails and some cams like the Denbury Farm. Those badgers and fox freak me out. Wonder how the BLUEFIELD BEAVERS are doing???

Vicky No but pretty much several hours tomorrow AND SUnday, then just a couple of hours a day thru tHURS That's it, the new gal can finish any loose ends at that point, whenever they want to take her to that database and have her do it. it will be better than 90% at that point for sure!!! trust me LOL. Maybe i'll get speedy and get it all done, but I don't think so, the pile is still pretty thick. it is in 3 seperate Access databases now that I have to keep looking stuff up for each and every letter I got a response to, which is about 400. I did about 50 of them today in 3 hours time so not sure. I have already however finished an entire 60 page directory with 3000 plus entries updated for the years, and a similar data base in Works, with all the correct info on it. Do not have a clue why the rest of this is in Access, and then divided 3 seperate ways, its a pain in the but. When I said I owuld do it, I thought it was just the Directory and Works database. The other one magically appeared in 3 seperate parts about 3 weeks ago. That's when I said , well I will do what I can by the end of August and its a done deal for me. The answer was. OK we can honor that and appreciate all the help you have given us to get this taken care of for 06-07.

Home from my daughter's fisrt field show for the high school football team... it was an away game, and our team scored the first touchdown and got a 2 point conversion, but it was downhill from there... 28-8 at half time. Our band performed WONDERFULLY - loud and clear and everyone hit their marks and lines were straight and crisp - looked incredible. I confess we left after the home team's half-time show - also well executed, but not performed with as much volume and conridence as ours, IMHO... my back just is not going to like sitting in those bleacherS!

Hello everyone. I have returned from my grandaughters' with my son & other great-granddaughter & they are spending the night. Alexis is already sound asleep. You all would love her because she has the cutest little giggle. She is 19 mos.old & is a cutie. I am glad it is sorta quiet on here after last evening's events.

The team is probably out celebrating victory! Sharon may be partying in the streets!
Tia is being the Little Ledge Lodger again tonight. When I was watching the clips of him - the one was "The Big Fall" - he actually fell off that area down into his tunnel. You never saw Mie go down so quickly to get him and fuss over him until she saw he was going to be ok.
Hope they are celebrating!!!

I know I think the whole thing should be in ACCESS BUT its NOT,AND It should all be in 1 place, NOT 3 different places, and when I changed the info in 1 spot it should have changed them all, but that is never how it has been set up, and I am NOT going to recreate the whole thing, so I am now dealing with those 3 different pieces.
A lot of what I am doing now is very redundant. If they can ever keep anyone in that position long enough to do it right from square one, it will be much easier when its time to do it again for 07-08. That's nOT me. I didn't even know this one existed til a couple of weeks ago. What is right in there I am not changing even if it is in 3 different spots. LOL

Glo sounds like you have been busy and they surely should appreciate your decication and professionalism to offer to do this for them... they were lucky to have you! I wouldn't be surprised if they don't want to call you back as a 'consultant' when they're setting up a better database system :) Contractors make GOOD money and work their own hours :)

I am back. I am happy to report did an awesome job at their half-time show and playing in the stands. The football team, however, did not fare as well. Beavers lost to Graham 26-6. Oh well, it is just a game. I was there for the band anyway!! :)
