I think they keep auditioning to be bald. Eagles, LOLI just love the crows. They're so entertaining only the ones so far.
815pm Juvenile or Sub Adult lands on the nest. She is rather huge. I believe she is a female. None unless those extra feathers may be making her bigger. But even look at her beak looks like a female
818 pm One of our resident bird's shows up and lands on the LOP, alerting calling out. I think it is Scout.
The young visitor is watchful, quiet but remains on the nest. The visitor is puffed up a bit but not leaving.
It is like the showdown at the Ok Corral haha.
825 pm Both remain fixed at their positions; Scout on the LOP and the young visitor is on the nest. The young visitor's beak is starting to change from dark brown to yellow; his head feathers are mostly dark but a few white coming in. Looks to be about 2 years old. The visitor is large quite possibly a female.
827 pm Some vocals were exchanged but no physical contact made; the young visitor has a small poop shoot aimed toward the nest then she exits the nest. Good to see a peaceful outcome. The visitor is likely the one we have seen in recent weeks, soaring by the nest.
830 pm Scout exits from the LOP and flies toward the BST. No sign of dear sweet Bella tonight.
