Good afternoon. Another beautiful day. Feel well with the sun and the blue skies. Such Grace it all is.
Yes LOLLY where I will house sit is is where I went last year. Earlier the year my friend had some health issues and surgery. She is better now. She and her husband decided on a short six week bicycle trip instead of last year's three months. Truth be told three months was a bit long. It is a big responsibility for me. I will go by for a refresher on what needs doing. She said things are already popping up. I was shocked today that she and her husband were up on the roof checking things. She just had eye surgery not a month ago!!! I reminded them to stay safe. I am off to a soprano concert tonight chanting the names of the Divine according to Western and Eastern traditions. Off to get something to eat.
Well, the folks who are going to repair our drywall and repaint were out today, and they will begin repairs, I believe, on Monday. Four guys were here today to measure everything. They will bring out sample books for paint colors and for vinyl flooring, which is what we want to get in the bedroom. They have vinyl now that looks just like bricks, tile with grout, or wood flooring, so we'll see. Funny thing--there was a spot on the popcorn ceiling in the entry hall where the popcorn had been scraped off when they cut the drywall, and a whole long, complicated series of phone conversations when on with our insurance company. They (the workmen) wanted to scrape off the whole popcorn ceiling in just the entry hall, due to the fact that it contains asbestos. That would mean the whole mess of floor-to-ceiling plastic, huge aluminum air ducts, air movers, etc., like we just went through. After a while it was decided that they will just repair the ceiling ding and repaint that entry hall ceiling. What crazy goings-on! The asbestos will still be there, as it has been all along (we've lived there since April, 1980!). The next logical question would be, why go through all that mess for the drywall and floor tile, when they AREN'T going to bother because of the ceiling, which is all through the house?! I give up. I just want my house back, in livable condition! They say we may be able to move back in on Monday, but they will just be beginning their work, and they'll be hammering and taking off wallpaper, and painting 2 coats of primer and 2 coats of paint, and moving furniture, etc. I say we'll only be in their way, and Emma won't know what to think or where to be to stay out of their way. She can't be in the yard for more than a few minutes because of her pollen and dust allergies. They have to remove wallpaper in the entry, living room, front bedroom, and the long hall that goes the length of the house. I don't want to smell any more fresh paint than I have to, either. Do you guys think I have a case? If we move back in on Monday, checkout time is 11:00 a.m. I say we should stay out until they're finished. Then I'll have to mop floors and vacuum like crazy. All three of us have allergies, so I hope it won't bother us. Oh--we had mild Santa Ana winds today, so the house got aired out really well when we opened the windows. A ton of dust blew in, though. Our tabletops could support a crop of potatoes!
Good to see Loretta and Judie here today! I hope Shar had a great Birthday.
Mema Jo, I haven't received an e-mail with the link to the Momsters e-mail. Have had a bit of trouble with my e-mail lately. Would it be possible to resend it? (I did check my junk mail, and it's not there either.) Thank you!
Oh, golly! I had forgotten about the time change! Thanks for the reminder, Mema Jo!
Think I'll say goodnight now. Better stay caught up on sleep, since we'll lose an hour. SED, everyone. God bless, and sleep tight. I ♥ us!!!
Goodorming Judy and all my eagle friends. I see 1 eagle sitting on eggs at the nest. 13 degrees here this morning - should be sunny and in the 40s today to start melting this snow.
Andy, what a mess! I say stay in the hotel as long as your insurance will allow!
Have agreat day all. Upstairs cleaning and grocery shopping for me today.
Good morning Sandi and Judy. I see a snowy nest and eggs being kept warm. Been busy with work and snow shoveling. Saw photos on Facebook of nest during snow. Amazing what eagle parents will do. Work today. Hoot snow will melt some today. Car needs a bath. I'm pretty tired of winter. Having to drive back and forth to work, etc. Enjoy your weekend. Take care all.
Andy Just maybe I don't have your most recent email address. Could you email it to me? (I hope you know mine - I don't want to put it on here) I will resend the one I sent the other day.
Good morning! Took a peek at all the snow on the nest stil. Melt melt melt!
Have been cooking this morning. Made cheese dainties to take to a "0" birthday party this afternoon. Going to cook later on today to take a dish tomorrow to church and then again Monday to take a dish to Retired Teachers.
Up to 52, only snow left is in the shade.
Andy, what a mess! We have the blown popcorn ceiling. Hate it, but guess we will just be living with it. I do think you need to stay away until they are finished.
I just had a beautiful red winged blackbird at the feeder. Did not get a good pic but you know that they say the red winged black bird is a sign of spring ! I wish I could see a whole flock of them !
Andy the asbestos ceiling needs removed also I would think. Has it be tested for levels to makes sure its safe When I worked at Zayre I took a/ sample to the health dept NO CHARGE and a lawyer advise first aapt is free here
Goodorming my eagle friends. I see a tucked eagle in a nest that is almost snow free - more melting should take place today. Can't keep the live feed this morning, maybe b/c my virus protection is running a scan.
40 degrees here already -my clocks have all sprung forward.
Tennis, house checks and grocery shopping that didn't get done yesterday are on my agenda. Have agreat day all.

Good morning. Should be a nice day at the nest!
I guess we should be done with snow days, Sandi. Spring is full steam ahead!
It's 42 here and I'm thinking it might be time to head out for a run. Hopefully, my route will be mostly clear of snow.
Otherwise, not much planned for today. Just a lazy Sunday before a full week of school.
Have a great day everyone.
Good morning,
I see an eagle on the eggs. A lot less snow in the nest this morning. That's very good.
Yes, it was very quiet on the blog yesterday.
Hoping to see more comments today.
