Good Morning and Happy Monday!

Thanks for the new thread, Steve.

And I'll take the feather!

stronghunter said...

Good morning,

Hi Paula! Thanks for the call-over, and congratulations on the feather.

Thank you very much for the new thread, Steve.

I've had shoulder issues before, Judie, but this was a bit different. I saw the same doctor I just saw for my knee that time. Will keep your advice in mind. First, I'll take myself upstairs and see what happens. Maybe it will go away. Maybe a pain pill will help.

I am now getting the live cam and see an eagle sitting on the eggs. Not really sure which one. What a pile of fish they have. It looks like they have moved them around a bit, and the large thing that was at the 11 spot seems to have been moved.

Mema Jo said...

Good morning again to all ♥

Paula a feather is what you need today - your home in MS is so very nice.

Thank you Steve for the fresh new thread.

Shirley hope your shoulder feels better soon.

Going to dr just to have blood test and port flushed.

Mema Jo said...

Both adult eagles in nest

One fly out

stronghunter said...

Hope the doctor visit goes well, Jo.

Took some pain pills and got some ice out of the freezer for my shoulder. Tried to make a video of the little ones, but having some trouble because of my shoulder. I could see all three being very lively and one looked like it was about to climb out of the cup and come over to the parent for his/her share of the food parent is eating.

paula eagleholic said...

Aha, blogger is finally back.

Shep on the chicklets.

My live feed keeps shutting down here too, Jo.

paula eagleholic said...

Hmmm, it's a little better now.

stronghunter said...

Interesting issue with the touch screen: tried to wipe away a speck of something on the screen and moved everything all around.

stronghunter said...

So far so good on the cam here.

stronghunter said...

Something is going on at FT. Meade. A shooting neat the NSA gate. Channel 7 reporting on it now.

stronghunter said...

Isn't that Belle on the chicks now.

paula eagleholic said...

Oh my, Shirley, not good.

Yea, that might be Belle...Shep was on there previously.

Kay said...

Good Morning Eagle Buds!!!!

Just a quick hello before leaving for routine 3 month check up and Kroger.

How nice of you, STEVE, to give us a new thread today and thanks to PAULA for the shout out!

Shirley, I can't tell which adult is on the nest right now. Hope your remedies ease the shoulder pain.

Will check out news from the last thread when I return.

Have a good day everyone!

glo said...

ty Sandi your post was very understanding and encouraging. Perhaps I need to lower my expectations and be happy.

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Good morning my eagle budlets.

paula eagleholic said...

Chicklets in view.

stronghunter said...

Need to do some grocery shopping. I think I will do the minimum for now. Need to take care of my shoulder so I can bowl tomorrow. Fortunately, the problem shoulder is the left one.

stronghunter said...

Seems someone tried to ram the gate at Ft. Meade and got shot.

grannyblt said...

Good morning all.
Seems our eaglets are thriving. No food worries, that is for sure.
Hoping for a nice day for us all.

Mema Jo said...

FORT MEADE, Md. — A senior U.S. official says preliminary reports from the scene at Fort Meade, Md., indicate one person is dead after a car with two people tried to ram a gate at the base.

Mema Jo said...

Only needed one hour to get my port flushed and blood drawn - all is ok

Good news is the Monday after Easter I scheduled my CT and MRI (back to back) and then wait 2 days before I
get the results from my Dr. I am
very anxious and yes - I need your
prayers. TY

Mema Jo said...

I think we have a climber in the egg cup. Really stretching his/her little neck. Perhaps they are still hungry!

glo said...

you got those prayers MeMa Jo

Mema Jo said...

TY so much GLO and all others

Mema Jo said...

Peeps were alone
Adult just flew in

stronghunter said...

Prayers, Jo.

Back from grocery store. The cashier was kind enough to summon someone to help me to my car. Everything was packed so I could easily carry it into the house. Gracious sakes, I bought only a few things, but spent more than $80. However, the ice packs I got for my shoulder were pretty expensive.

Goodness, those three eaglets are lively. Looked like some sibling rivalry going on, too.

stronghunter said...

Feeding.

paula eagleholic said...

Think the little one got his own personalized feeding session after the older 2 passed out :)

Mema Jo said...

Paula I also saw that happen earlier

Little Sweet Peep will be fine ♥

grannyblt said...

Our eaglets getting an airing. Amazing what good pooper shooters they are at such a young age.

grannyblt said...

Dad brought in a pile of sticks. Reminded me of "pick up sticks". Mom left and kids wondering how dad will cover them up,

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

grannyblt - I was thinking pickup sticks as well. :)

stronghunter said...

i see those sticks scattered around the nest. They do look like Pick-up Sticks.

Parent off the babies. They are lively and bouncing around.

stronghunter said...

Have to go get Hunter. Whoops! Prent lost balance. Almost fell on babies.

stronghunter said...

BBL--time to get Hunter.

stronghunter said...

Parent lost balance.

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

I'm not sure which floor that this afternoon snack was pulled up from, but it was at least 3 floors down. Pulled really hard to get it. :)

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

And Shirley, the parent lost balance at least twice.

Good poop shoot just now.

Ms Bookworm said...

Hi, Gang,

Feeding time at the nest! Can only see 2 of the babies; the other one is apparently under a bit of flugg.

stronghunter said...

It was odd to see the eagle fall over and catch itself with a wing, Sharon.

stronghunter said...

Yes, I think it was pulling something out of the basement or some such thing.

stronghunter said...

Dinner is cooking in the crock pot, but I still have some things to do in the kitchen. Need to get myself motivated. Kind of took it easy after I hurt my shoulder. I am now enjoying the coolness of one of my new ice pack things.

stronghunter said...

Yes, two babies ore quite visible. Kind of looks like another one is over to the right.

stronghunter said...

The one to the right is moving around, but so far, I haven't seei it eat anything.

stronghunter said...

I think the one on the right might have gotten some food. Feeding now over.

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Clump of something was just removed from the baby's deep hole. Not really sure what it is. This is the part I don't like. Watching the pecking order of the babies.

JudyEddy said...

Hello eagle budlets home from work as if you didn't know with this post

I see temp is 58° at the nest nice

Inventory is tomorrow at our store I was a bad gal and didn't volunteer to stay I wasn't asked either

stronghunter said...

Heading to the kitchen. BBL.

NCSuzan said...

Hello everyone! Sorry I have not been on to congratulate and ooo and ahhh but I had a little setback health wise but everything is better now. I have had the screen on full page watching the egglets. They are a joy to watch and the baby is pretty feisty too!At this stage it is so easy to tell who is one, two or three!

Shirley, I am so very sorry for your shoulder ailment but am grateful to Judie for her diagnosis. My sister-in-law suffers with this, also known as swimmers shoulder, so I quickly sent her some articles hoping she will have it checked out. With the continuous motion of throwing a bowling ball this could be your ailment too. Please have it checked so it will not become chronic.

Still waiting for Isla....

Paula, your new home is lovely. Happy times will be had there for sure.

Mema Jo, prayers never stop.

JudyEddy said...

looks like time for a snack

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Some more mystery meat was just picked up. Babies not eating right now.

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

One of the babes just begged up a bite, don't think it was the oldest one this time.

JudyEddy said...

I guess the smallest is up front again

JudyEddy said...

I guess feeding is over just sitting there chick seem content no reaching up for food

stronghunter said...

Thanks for your concern, Suzan. I will keep your advice in mind. I just finished with the PT for my knee.

It is my left shoulder, so not the one I use for throwing the bowling ball, thank goodness. But, I do put some pressure on it when I handle the ball. I will see how I feel tomorrow. Val could sub for me if necessary. Also decided I'd better not try the knee exercise that requires me to hold onto something with my arms and stoop down.

Babies are sleeping in the sunshine under the watchful eye of a parent. Lovely scene.

stronghunter said...

The nest is swaying in the breeze.

JudyEddy said...

I guess she is letting them get some vitamin d

Lolly said...

Hi all! Shirley, I am having a shoulder problem, as well. I go for regular check up next week will talk to the doctor. I do not want it to freeze up. That happened one time and the therapy for it was so painful! It is just preventing me from doing a few things and have to be careful I do not reach behind me. The pain then is over powering.😹

Just looked I to the nest and saw a pile of babies sleeping in the sun.

Have been working in the yard. Jack never promised me a rose garden but he is working on a new one!😀

Need to bake egg shape sugar cookies for party for our preschoolers at our church.

Jo, you certainly have our ongoing prayers!😘

Good Evening!

I'm super busy trying to get the house back together. Working on the corner in the "computer room" too. How have we accumulated so much STUFF?! Most of it needs to go bye-bye! When in doubt, toss!

Jo, want you to know that prayers for you are ongoing from this roost!

Shirley, hope your shoulder is getting better.

Ken has been having trouble with his right elbow. He thought it was tendonitis, but now we think it was a gout flare-up. He's doing better today.

Need to go spend some time with Emma. She's felt a bit neglected while I've been spending most of my time cleaning house. Poor baby is SOO spoiled!

Have a good night's rest, everyone, with SED. God bless!

Jo, prayers have started for you my friend.

Heard from Brian last night - he is back from Mexico. But he called so late I was too tired to talk with him - Denny did briefly. We will do a Google chat with him and Miss Freyja this evening.

Have agreat day all.

glo said...

Good morning everyone. All is well in the sycamore and all is well here in my nest too. We might actually be catching onto the idea of out to potty :-). Much more promising. I hope things are well at all of your nests too. I have to bake today. I have actually had 7 hours of sleep. It's a record for this past week. lol

Mema Jo said...

Good Morning on this Last Day Of March to all ♥ I am hoping March goes out like the lamb dud to coming in like the lion

The sun is shinning and the sky is the beautiful blue - however; it does call for afternoon showers.

Thanks Barbara for the nest report.
Can't say enough good about our Belle and Shep's parenting skills.

Mema Jo said...

Hi Glo ♥ Happy that your furbabies are getting along and getting into the swing of things. Have fun with your baking.

Judie said...

Good morning everyone.

Looks like a bit of Vitamin D is being absorbed by the eggberts. Home alone and just bopping and flopping.

Beauteous sunshiny day with clear blue sky.

Another not-much-going-on day. For those who get Northern VA news, neighborhood no longer on lock-down. Bad guy escaped hospital this morning. We live about three blocks from that hospital. Lots and lots of police activity. Still have copters flying about overhead. Another capture simultaneous but unrelated. Busy morning for police.

Okay, off for another sip of coffee.

Wishing everyone a wonderful day.

paula eagleholic said...

Judie, I heard about that escapee this morning...bunch of looney's out there!

Can't get the live feed to stay on long again...sigh

paula eagleholic said...

Looks like Belle on Duty

Kay said...

Good Morning Eagle Buds!!!

Sunny and warming here, too. Yeah!

JO, prayers continue! May all test results be positively wonderful news.

SANDI, glad Brian is back from Mexico--have fun talking to him and Freyja tonight!

GLO, glad you're catching up on some sleep as you new resident catches up with the joys of outdoor trips.

Thanks to BARBARA for the nest report! It's no easy feat to care for three bobbleheads, but Belle and Shep are doing a stellar job of it!

On my agenda today is a condo assc. meeting/election (ugh) this evening---sweetened by dinner with neighbors afterward (yeah). We always love having a wind down session.

Prayers for all in need!

The middle one just fell back into the cup on the little one and the oldest one went back in there quick too. Now, if little bit could get something to eat, we would all be happy.

good early afternoon to all.

last day of my four day weekend. gonna grab a cup of coffee in a min and get to movin' and a groovin' again.

I spent yesterday doing spring cleaning.....with tom's help I got my spring summer clothes up and fall winter clothes downstairs...then we rearranged and cleaned some extraneous stuff out of my storage room. we also took it to good will (I know WHAT all in the same day???????????)

I did some house work.....chased a few dust bunnies about for fun and exercise, lol.

dogs were walked. food served. life is good.

today, we had dental appointments in the a.m.

shortly I am going outside to play. I have a bunch of spring cleaning and doings outside that are begging to be done!

FROZEN SHOULDER: yuck. painful. not an easy fix either. best to prevent if possible!!

speaking of shoulders, here we go again. Tom is having surgery June 8 to repair the tear in the distal tendon coming off the right shoulder. he has a couple other small issues that the doc will take care of.

egad.

at least this year i'm not having a pool put in!

the last time he had surgery was 2 years ago when I was trying to get the pool put in and I had to convince him that it was better (and faster) if the pool company did the installation..... we have enough projects!

he and Olivia have been working on the ranger.....(little red ford ranger). it is their project for this year as by the end of NEXT year she will be old enough to get a drivers permit.

well anyway, just checking in to say hey to one and to all!

hugs and smiles to all

Whatever it is, it has a long skinny tail that Belle dehaired. Maybe a squirrel?

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

It looks too big to be a squirrel, hope it wasn't someone's cat. UGH!!

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Maybe that is not a tail because she is feeding from that long part I thought was a tail. Maybe I need to stop watching? LOL

Sadly, an unexpectedly empty nest at Alcoa Davenport
March 31, 2015 — Alcoa Davenport, bald eagle, birds, Eagle, egg, nature

Just a few days before hatch watch time, Alcoa is reporting that it appears the single egg is gone. There has not been a parent on the nest for the past hour that I’ve been watching, which reaffirms that something seems to have happened to the egg and that there is not a hatch. This pair made a gallant effort this year, laying another egg well after the first one laid was lost, but unfortunately, now it looks like the second egg is lost too. drat. Link to cam: http://www.alcoa.com/locations/usa_davenport/en/info_page/eaglecam.asp

glo said...

Alcoa is the nest 10 mins from my home. Yes we are very saddened to have lost both eggs. This last one was due to hatch within the next several days. Thought is a raccoon got it while adult off nest possibly chasing away and intruder. Adult was on the nest when I checked cam a little after 6 my time. A little after 7 though no sign of egg or adult and up to now any way don't have eyes on the nest 24/7 BUT hopefully as the day goes on someone will be able to tell us what happened in that hour. I am sort of glad I was busy with Patches and didn't see it though.
