HODA, a funny picture indeed of you selling brownies with tats and rainbow colored socks! Take your time...the answer on whether to take the trip or not will come to you.
JANET, I think we have the same weather forecast as you this week! Hope you kick off your week in a big way!
MARGY, thanks for all the Academy Awards announcements, play by play... I couldn't stay up to watch the last half hour! Good for Anne Hathaway - she is a classy lady.
LOLLY, hoping Laurel took SHIRLEY's advie and will have a sub today so she can get better.
JUDYE- forgot to tell you that I loved your snowy egret pics. Very pretty!
SHARON, how is your hip?
ANDY, glad your pills seem to take care of your pain!
Getting ready for the day here. Not sure what it holds, but I hope it's good and exciting!
Lori, it is actually my groin, back, both hips, both legs with right being worse than left. The pain meds really help and I am grateful. I will really be glad when I can get into the solution of fixing what the problem is and not taking meds anymore.
I LOVE US!!!!!!!
By the way, Olive on the Great Dane Cam had I think 11 pups with 1 being stillborn. They are calling the pups pimentos. Chaos' pups were chuppies, Moxie's pups were muppies and now Olive's are pimentos. She definitely was stuffed full of them. :)
Sharon, the McGuyver of the household, fixed one of my power chords that was broken. It's just by chance we didn't throw it away. She splised and put it back together and put black tap around it. I tend to be hard on computers so I hope I don't break it again. : ))
Uh, Oh...did not know HODA was shipping her special brownies.
GOOD MORNING! My what a lovely day. lol Got up a little early to wash my hair and enjoy my coffee before drinking that delightful junk. Holding your nose while drinking it helps, really helps. I have also decided that having an appointment in early afternoon is good. I drank 4 glasses last night and 4 this morning. Having a break was great! So, if you are scheduling this procedure aim for afternoon!!! Seriously! Anyway, I have finished the delightful cocktail.
Didn't get here yesterday evening--got too busy watching the Oscars and the Red Carpet shows.
Felt pretty good yesterday morning, so went with Ken when he went to the Brea Mall to do his walking. He walked over 45,000 steps, while I mostly just sat and waited for him. I did about 1 1/4 miles, but had to quit when my shoulder & neck started complaining too badly. Golly, if I sit completely still with heat on it, it will stop (or almost stop) hurting, but just walking, or even the tiniest wrong move can set it off bigtime again. Judie, I think you're right--I need to see an orthopedic specialist this time! I want to make sure I haven't really messed something up in there. Will e-mail my doctor this morning and ask if a referral can happen ASAP. I don't like to have to take so many drugs, especially since they aren't fixing the problem. Need to get to the bottom of this. Can't bear the thought of having to sit motionless for 6 weeks or so! NOT good for the rest of me!
Hoda, I've seen some of those chocolate-covered coffee beans at our local Starbuck's, but really afraid to try them--I'd probably be ricocheting off the walls! They DO sound delicious, though!
Hmmmm....wondering what's become of our gardeners! They didn't show up last week, and didn't call to say why. Doggone 'em! They're due to do the yard tomorrow, so if they know what's good for them, they will be here, with an apology and an explanation!
So happy for Lynne & Steve and their critters!!! Isn't it something how we can take windows for granted until we have to do without them for a while! Gosh, the new place even has nearby walking trails! WHOO HOO!!!! Emma has a big smile on her face for you guys, too!
Shar, hope you're feeling better, and hope Tom is OK now. Glad the services for Granny Riffe were so nice. She was SO special!
Well, I need to get an e-mail off to the doctor, and then go sit down and try to ignore all the things that need doing around here--stuff like vacuuming, dusting, washing floors, doing dishes, giving Emma a good brushing, a haircut, and a bath. The list is getting longer.... Aaargh!
Poor Ken found himself unusually busy over the weekend, with me laid up with this. He went to work feeling tired this morning!
Well, hope everything goes well with you this afternoon, Lolly. I'll be thinking of you! I've done a few of those mail-in tests for occult blood, but they will have to Shanghai me, kicking and screaming, to get me to do a colonoscopy!
Guess I'd better get going. Will check back in later to say howdy and see how things are going. HAGD, all! Prayers for everyone. I LOVE us!!!!
Good morning all. Cooking chicken for Dex the off to grocery for comfort food in case the weather forecast is right for tomorrow. Hope everyone is having a good day. Hang in there Lolly. Think omelets :-) I love omelets too.
Shar and Andy, sure hope you both feel better soon. Guess Hoda needs to get her oven cranked up as large batches of "medicinal" brownies seem to be in order.
Good luck Lolly.
Jo hoping for a good eye exam.
Have a wonderful pretend retirement day Margy.
Hope Glo and Dex get a nice walk in today.
Headed to the laundry room then to proof-read two exams.
Agreeing with everyone here, for speedy and expert analysis - and then treatment - on what's going on with Andrea's shouler and Sharon's groin, hip, back, and leg problems... Pain is such an energy-drainer, and can be a real downer as well
So, I'm now only 42 seconds from work, and on my first day in my new home.....LATE!!!
Only by 3 minutes, but geez, I think I set my alarm for 7PM instead of AM because the light was on indication that it was set, but it surely didn't go off at 7AM!!!.
Hello, my name is Lynne, and my favorite color is CLEAR.
Call from Laurel. She is home, feeling awful, head hurting, chest hurting, cough...but no fever. She said Joseph is now coughing and congested. I may be boy sitting later on this week. Joseph does not need anyone but Jacob will be next.
I am hungry!!!!!!!
Oh, and on the pond cam...pictures of the neighbor's cat. This is noooot worrrrking!!!!!!!!
Looks like we've pretty much the same prayer list and I'm on it !
Hoping both LOLLY and JO hear good things from their docs today or when test results come in.
Thinking loving thoughts of my dear, sweet Mother who died on this date in 1965 and of my dear friend, Lila, who left us on this date in 1995. I'm grateful for beautiful memories !
Apparently I have a fellow Kenseth fan in JERRY. Like MARGY says, "maybe next time". Danica's good showing thrilled me !
Looks like the Oscars went to a wide variety this time with no one film dominating. I like that ! Like WANDA I wait for films to hit the video store or Netflix "freebies".
As always, I love reading back to see what Belle and Shep did to entertain when I wasn't watching. What a great couple of Eagles we have in them !
Good afternoon my eagle friends! One work day down!
Lolly, hope your procedure went smoothly. Dennis has had 2 colonoscopies (none for me thank you very much!). The first time he had to drink and drink and drink and the prep was awful. This time (just a few months ago), he drank a little something and took some pills - said the prep was SO much easier. When he got home, he felt great! No ill effects at all!
Hoda, could you send some of those brownies my way, please? Not for medicinal purposes mind you, just for pure enjoyment! =)
Good news on Blackwater eagles - hoping for a successful hatching/fledging season for them.
Well, I be home! All is great, even have pictures! lol Jack said we could put them on the refrig. I think not! No polyps!! See you in 5 years the doc said.
Jack is cooking me breakfast...and I am starving. Sitting here under my electric lap blanket. Can not get warm.
Not really cold here, 53, but just 4 1/2 hours north-west of us in Amarillo they have had a blizzard and 17 inches of snow! That is unbelievable! The electric highway sign had the message to avoid traveling to the panhandle, blizzard conditions. Unbelievable.
Ohhh, I smell food!
And, to those of you who say you will not do this...really not so bad. Prep is not fun but the procedure itself is a breeze. You want to take care of yourselves and this is one of the procedures recommended after a certain age. So, please...take care of yourselves!
Just looked at the weather map. Looks like it is coming our way, but north of us. Laurel might get some snow. She is in the far frozen north, on hour north. lol
still reading but I wanted to tell you I talked with the Mayor today at work He really doesn't like it when he shops that I talk business LOL I mentioned the cell phone towers eagles nest getting a camera on it He just said or they are back and off course I say they never leave LOL but no answer on it I told him it would put Pinellas Park on the map and we may get my vacationers
Lolly, my snow candle must be broken b/c it hasn't snowed one time that I have burned it this entire winter! What worked here in Selbyville, DE was pajamas on inside out and backwards and a white crayon on the window sill! Don't knock it! Joseph and Jacob should do the pajamas too! Plus, they need to do ALL their homework tonight! If they don't, thinking they'll have tomorrow to do it, they'll jinx everything!
all caught up not too many HOPE one and all that has a aliment seeks help and is relieved of any and all pain LOLLY so glad its now over and you have a new pic are you gonna make it your new AVATAR LOL
Sandi, will call Laurel and pass on the important info. However, she is considering staying home again tomorrow. Oh, and she had to go and pick up Joseph today. So, if she is home sick, and it snows....that is a wasted snow day! Worse still...Joseph could not go out and play.
I know that Lolly has mentioned that Annie sometimes goes all day without eating and I know she's pretty old.
What about old dogs? Bandit has never gone an entire day without eating. But most days now, when I come home from school, his breakfast is still sitting beside his bed and he hasn't touched it. When I fix Bella's dinner, I reheat his food and sprinkle some shredded cheddar on it and then he'll eat. But he's only eating 1/2 of what he used to eat.
Is it simply b/c his metabolism is slowing down and he doesn't need as much food? Or is it a sign of something else? Thoughts? Similar experiences with old dogs?
Good after noon everyone! YOGA IN A BIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LORI: its gonna be a wild and wet week i think. been dry all day, and warm, almost 60, but temps are going straight down from here with wind, rain, and snow showers by weeks end.... :P shouldn't complain, not tornados. thank goodness!
YA'LL know its a good thing that our beloved HODA has a great sense of humor.....we've teased her pretty hard the last day or so............... ((((HUGS HODA))))))
MS> BOOKWORK: I've had choc. covered coffee/expresso beans...oh yummo! sometimes when we take a road trip i buy them and munch on them when its my turn to drive. he he he..
Hey FOLKS, if you have pain, and no reason for that pain, such as a pulled muscle, etc, and if it doesnt' go away in a reasonable amount of time, its your body telling you something is wrong.....(you wouldn't believe how many clients that I tell this to)....go to a doctor, find out what's wrong and you can decide from there what sort of treatment you desire...many times you can do physical therapy, chiropractic, etc...but its always best to check and see what is going on rather than wait it out and guess.......and pain pills, while okay short term, are not the solution ..... they don't fix the problem....
On a LIGHTER note:::: my grandkids, the older two decided to play hairstylist while Chelsea was bowling with us last night. Daddy was the one home with them....and well, noone noticed til this morning their new "dos"...check out my facebook page if you want to see my daughter's nightmare this morning....Jack is now shaved bald as there was nothing more they could do with his little head and she was taking Amelia back to the hair dresser today so see what they can do to repair the damage...KIDS. I assured her she is not the first nor the last mom whose kids have done this sort of thing....
Hugs, light, love to all. Time to grill some steaks and then off to YOGA!

Not sure about old dogs. HRH Lynne, will have to help you there. I think Bosco is still eating and eating good, but he is just getting skinnier and skinnier. He is a big dog.

Yes, it will soon be over, thank goodness. Oh, I guess there are many things that are worse, but this sure is not pleasant. lol
Have ordered a good meal for this evening. Jack is going to cook breakfast. He makes a fantastic omelet. Yea!
Started my diet on the 15th. I am now down 8 lbs. This liquid diet has helped. :) Needed to loose the holiday pounds.
Uh, oh...approaching 10. No liquids after 10. Think I better at least get a glass of water before 10.
Shar, hope you're feeling better, and hope Tom is OK now. Glad the services for Granny Riffe were so nice. She was SO special!

Hope Glo and Dex get a nice walk in today.
Headed to the laundry room then to proof-read two exams.
Good morning,
Being very lazy this morning. Always love to see Judie's cute little kitty avatar.
Hope the weather is not too bad, Glo. Seems like lots of people are getting big snows here at the end of winter.
Andy, I agree. You need to see a specialist. Too much pain for too long.
Glad you are about finished, Lolly. The procedure is not too bad. It's the prep that is so yucky.
Good Morning More Eagle Pals...
I thought Judie was going to the laundry room to proofread the exams...good thing I am not the one doing the proofreading
BWE is rather...colorful, nice rainbow colors but not sure when that will clear up
Agreeing with everyone here,

Sharon's groin, hip, back, and leg problems...
Pain is such an energy-drainer,

well, BWE is back to normal looking ☺
Glad to see T-Bird earlier,
