Good morning! Getting very good at sleeping late. It was rather cool this morning and slept with the window open a little. It was so cozy in bed...did not want to get up!
Watched the switch at egg sitting while reading the paper. I think Shep does better at it than Belle.
Still getting no photos on the pond cam. I am sure we get wildlife, just not a lot of it. It is working as Jack forgot to turn it off one day and got pictures of himself and me! lol Real WILDLIFE!!! Yikes!
We have had large snails in the pond that we purchased. Have found them eaten up on the rocks. Raccoons!!!!
Sad day for me today. My beautiful golden retriever Daisy went over the rainbow bridge this morning. I knew it was coming, but still..This is the first time in my life I haven't had a dog.
I am dressed in street clothes, as Jo puts it. Heaing out. Do not like the white knit I found yesterday, so off to see if I can find something that matches the suit better.
SOOOOO SAD A osprey nest caught fire in a light pole at Derby Lanes track The parent birds where circling the nest when the flames where 10ft tall soooo sad
Happy Red Friday, everyone! Emma and I slept in fairly late this morning, after getting Ken off to work at about 3:20am. We woke up at about 7:30 to find that it had rained earlier. It was completely overcast, and about 50 degrees outside. Got Emma fed and out to go potty, and started watching some TV news. Had a weird weather moment at about 10:10am. Sun was finally out, and the gardeners were beginning to mow our next-door neighbor's yard. Suddenly, we had some awesome thunder, and it got incredibly dark outside. Then a tremendous east wind came up, and it started raining--sideways--like crazy! Oh--and the temperature outside dropped 5 degrees in about 15 minutes! The gardeners next door gave up and left. Thunder continued for a while, and the outside temp. ended up at about 43 degrees. The wind stopped just as suddenly as it started. Gosh, unless this changes again I guess I won't be taking a long walk today! Sure hope all of you back east are doing OK. They're sure predicting a whopper of a storm back there! Please take care, and stay warm and safe!
Lynne1, so sorry to hear that Daisy Rose has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. (((Huge Hugs))) for you! That's a very nice picture of her. It's so sad to lose a furbaby.
Well, I have to schedule a few bills to be paid online. Better do it before we have more thunder. I'll check back in later to see how things are with Belle, Shep, and Eggbert.
Healing prayers continue for Jo, Chris Barton's mother, Lorraine, et al. Hope everyone has a great day! By the way, it's good to see some folks here that haven't been here in a long time. Welcome back! I ♥ us!
The BC event was when the eagle pair sat on the eggs and the time for hatching came and went. I KNOW we were putting human emotions into that cry, but it was the saddest thing I ever heard! The pair went on the next year to have a successful season, but I was not there to watch. I think that the next season someone told me about our nest cam and the rest is history!
OH! I do bekieve I should get to bed......read, relax and sleep! GOOD NIGHT to all and MAWOY (may angels watch over you and the eagle pair and eggie too)!
Good afternoon all! saw 2 parents on the nest when I opened the cam, with Belle eating, Shep standing on the rails at 10, and egg uncovered. Then both poofed and now Shep is back and settled on the egg! Guess all is well in WV eagle land!
Now an egg roll and settling back down. He does that so well!
Lynne1, I'm so sorry to hear about Daisy Rose! What a sad day for you.
Janet, wonderful advice about letting go of the things we can't control. wish it was as easy to do as it is to say!
Hoda, I am watching at least a dozen robins playing in the puddles outside my sunroom window! Have never seen so many all in one place at one time. Plus there are a couple of mourning doves and a male cardinal in the mix!
GRANNYBLT: my heart goes out to you....light and love to you on this sad day. (((((HUGS))))) to you from one dog lover to another.....love the pix, she was a beautiful girl.
You all, I work every day at the let go of what you cannot control mantra...i, like each of you my friends, am a work in progress......and i am pretty hard headed sometimes as well.....
NIce enough afternoon here, chilly, but not bad. Almost wish we would get a nice snow....
Wow, looks like the sun is coming out at the nest! I bet we got 3-4 inches of rain today and it's still raining a little outside. Still under a coastal flood watch for this evening and tomorrow morning. So far, all water has stayed outside where it belongs! =)
I am home and so frustrated!!! I went to 4 fabric stores in Fort Worth. Well, actually one here in our town and could not find anything. Most stores do not even carry knit. Did buy a half yard of a cotton material that matches better than the knit I bought the other day. I am going to double the fabric to make it thick enough. The most frustrating was I lost a license plate off my car. Here in TX you have to have a front plate, too. It is gone! Even retraced my drive looking for it. I am unhappy!!
Got home and Jack is not here????? do not know where he is and thought we would go into church to clean up the prayer garden. Big event at church Sunday and need to clean up. Just remembered that while out.
We did not have front plates when I was growing up in North Carolina, but we do have them in Virginia. My father told me that they stopped using them during WWII in NC and decided they were not necessary.
Oh, Lynne. I know your heart is breaking. Our pets give the best kind of love and comfort to us and are truly missed when they die. A special hug to you.
I actually witnessed the egg laying just by chance. So eggciting!
For those of you in the line of this storm, please be careful.
Lifting up those that need support and good health. Hope Jo is home soon.
Temperature has really dropped outside and the wind has really picked up. There is actually a little snow predicted for us at the very end of this storm, tonight into early tomorrow morning.
I am happy to report that the sump pump that was installed shortly before Hurricane Sandy did exactly what it was supposed to do during this afternoon's long downpour - hence the big puddles on the wooded lot next to the house that the robins are playing in.
Sounds like it has gotten windier at the nest as well!
Thinking of Lynne and hoping that this weekend she finds the perfect place for her and Steve and Daisy and Puddles.
Briefly, I had a good talk with some of the nursing home staff and a good visit with Lorraine; I think we got a few things resolved, with more to be revealed... need to lean on the doctor a wee bit about some unexplained swelling in her extremities... all of us visitors are going to try to be on the Up and Up with our visits to Lorraine...encourage her every step of the way
Thank you to all of you for your support and prayers ♥
Not the greatest egg-laying weather, but nature happens, and if there is another egg ready it probably isn't to wait for nice weather.... as history has shown us
Oh, when Shirley's internet konked out earlier, is just when Shep brought one nice sized whole fish to Belle...she mantled immediately and I do think she took it with her when she flew off, or else she inhaled it
We are back. I called him when I saw his phone was gone. He seldom carries it. He was on his way home and we have been to church and cleaned up the flower beds, at least the garden I am responsible for.
You were part right, Shirley! Thanks! Joey, my son in law does a once a year impersonation of Elvis. He did do it in August...the anniversary of his death, but last year they moved it to May. It is sponsored by the Kawanis club to raise money for the Denton Children's clinic. He does a very good job, has a good voice and can belt it out. It is a big deal..he has a band, body guards, police escort, etc. His suit was purchased for him from a professional company, but it just is not long enough..high waters! I volunteered to lengthen the suit.
This link will take you to the homepage for Elvis on the Square. In the upper left hand cornor there is a photos link. Click on it...you can see the high waters. lol Also, (yikes!) just saw my own picture. I am sitting with Laurel and looking over my shoulder. Joseph and his best bud Joe are also in the pic.
Not much weather stuff happening here today...that's a good thing!
Belle is tucked in, was rolling the egg awhile ago.
Been shopping online...got an email that the item I purchased for Larry was cancelled...had to find it elsewhere. Getting him some cologne for Valentine's Day.
Waiting for dinner to heat up, then going to try and tackle some of the basement.
Lynne1, so sorry about your Daisy. She was a beautiful dog. (((Big Hugs)))
Margy, hope Lorraine can start on the recovery road.
Lolly, glad you found Jack and some fabric so Elvis won't be in high waters, LOL
Um, about Wandy's trash can -- there is a secret place where things go never to be seen again. One report states that an object with the shape of a trash can was spotted all tied up with a shiny green ribbon.
Week-end in the hospital Jo, thinking that the physial therapy will fix Jo right up for next week going home Thanks for sharing the information. Hoda....I realy need to check that email program daily
Oh Noooooooooooooooooo you don't MISS JUDIE!!! WANDY'S trash can did not make it up to CANADA!!! This is the last we saw of the shiny green ribbons if I remember correctly!!! LOL!!!
I am contemplating thawing out another Oatmeal Creme Pie...for dessert...since it is about time to contemplate on when Egg #2 might deliver... even in this wicked wind, it could happen
Ah Hoda, the shiny green ribbon is quite the slippery suspect. Earlier report indicated the shiny green ribbon had made its way through Wandy land and sped off to its hideaway deep under the midwestern snow.
JUDIE If you know the trajectory of the wind and the sway of the tree you would know what are the places in the house you should not sit in case a tree comes down. OH MY !!! Instead of worrying I will put you and DARTH in my prayers!
THANK YOU MARGY. Supper sounded good at your roost. I am thinking I need to prepare some Basmati rice with corriander and makes a scallops and vegetables stir fry...
I think I had better feed the cats. Lucky is trying to get onto the recliner with me. Awhile ago, he snuggled down and slept beside me. Now, I think he might have something else in mind. He is hissing and growling.
I hae a nephew in England who was going to fly home into NYC Saturday... no chance of that have a niece in Connecticut who was going to fly home to California Saturday, no chance of that either from the looks of things
Dinner is over and it was delish. Left over three cheese risotto, and left over fresh green beans with salmon croquettes and green onion sauce....oh and having a glass of wine. Ready to put my feet up.
Oh dear...Wandy's trash can has gone that far...to the land where things never return??!!! Not good!
An 80 year old woman was out shovelling and she collapsed and died!!! Where were her neighbours I wonder. The others were road related and car crashes.
Good evening all! Breezy here, sleeting, but roads were OK on the drive home.
WELL........
There are THREE very good potential new homes!! I went to see one after work, love it. Two more tomorrow. All VERY VERY I'LL NEVER HAVE TO DRIVE AGAIN close to work! The one tonight, bottom floor of a house, one bedroom, very large kitchen, nice size living room and bedroom, front and back doors, storage, very roomy. Small yard is fenced, but bricked over. But there are some flower beds! Not much a view but WINDOWS!!! I really liked it. The resident Manchester Redtailed Hawk was there to greet me when I pulled up! I took that as a good sign. I was honest about our credit issues, didn't seem to scare the guy. He's never rented to pet owners but said that he'd give it a try since I work for a vet and they must be well cared for. The price is a little more than I wanted, but doable.
The other 2 are on second floors, not ideal but possible. Pets OK. About 3 blocks from work!
Oh dear, Hoda. This storm is taking a toll in many places.
Watching this does remind me of the blizzard of 1978. I have never heard the wind blow like that at any time in my life. I think they said it was 80 mph. Not sure, just know it was awful.
We lived near the place where an 18-wheeler was covered with snow. They found it, and the driver was okay.
Oh, you know what I said about Lucky hissing and growling. Well, I knew he was under the footrest of the recliner and the dogs were nearby. I kept hearing him clawing at the quilt lying here.
When I got out of the recliner, I realized his claw was caught in the quilt. He was standing there looking at the dogs (stupid dogs in his cat mind) and he could not get away from them.
Now, I can tell you, those dogs are not going to bother a hissing, growling cat. They are not that stupid.
LYNNE I am so very very very happy for you. You and STEVE are good people and are awesome tenants I am sure.I hope the house works for you and it will be better for STEVE for going in and out as opposed to a second floor. I continue praying for you and I am sure in my heart it will work out. HUGS LOVE and LIGHT TO YOU TWO.
Okay Lynne!!! Saying a prayer right this minute that you will decide on the correct place. Too bad the back yard is bricked over. A park close? We need you in the correct home NOW!!!
I always find to be honest and straight forward is the best policy and I am glad the landlord seems OK with the credit situation. You do have steady income and it counts for a lot.
When I wrote OAS about not having any official stams for my where abouts between 18 to 24 years only my University records, I felt much better that I could only do my best with this situation. They have not sent me anything to tell me this is a problem. They only sent me the letter to confirm where I wanted correspondance to be sent. So pleased about the news of the house and maybe the little more for rent than you planned would be alright once STEVE goes back to work or I hope there is some disability pay coming in soon...
YES, there is a nature center very close and also a little park, and two other parks very close. Lots of woods to hike in nearby as well! Sidewalks along the streets! Small and quiet town! Lots of local events each season.
Good evening eaglebudlets Jordyn has left the building LOL Angie and Carl just left so its time for me to try to unwind SOOOOO SOOOO happy LYNNE2 will be keeping everything I have crossed that things go your way for the place you choose to move to
we went to Largo Central Park and while we were there the resident Hawk that lives there flew over our heads with a mouse or small rat in his talons and flew to the tree in the park to eat it I got pictures and video of it I put pic on fb and will upload videos in a bit
LOL hilarious!!! If you watch the video in the link, at the 3:45 mark the video is going through the post office lot and directly behind the cherry tree is the house i looked at tonight and at 4:00 mark, look to the left of the screen and there is the house! At the 6:52 mark we are at the block where the other to places are although you can't see them as they sit a bit back from the alley, and then.....at 7:53...MANCHESTER VET! Well, the sign anyway, on the left....one minute and one second from a potential new home. LOL! Another couple of seconds....SHEETZ!
Good Evening Eagle Pals! Hope I can see this nest at work tomorrow. However, with wind, we'll be lucky to have anything working!
Oh, Dear Lynne, SO sorry about furbaby Daisy.
Not my day~~a little frustrating. We lost power at home this AM and it was only sprinkling! Had shampooed my hair in the shower. Took my elec. curling brush, mirror, brush, comb, etc. to Chelsea. Since hair was almost dry from towel, just let it be and wore my eagle scarf. Left all the hair supplies at work! Found about a 2 inch purse brush, a comb and used my compact mirror tonight! Just like camping!! Last night, left eye saw some thin silver flashes! I had been outside and thought it was neighbor's headlights!Wrong! Occurred inside~~had been on computer 'til wee hours.Happened today and have irregular thin black oval with 4 black dots around it! Called eye doctor and they said if I get more or more frequently, go to ER. Just what I wanted to hear. Already had left carotid repaired twice. I see them Mon., AM, one hour before another appt. up the road.
What shall we call the next egg? Eggbert 2 ??!! ☺
Gotta hit the hay, so Prayers for Good Health to ALL on our list and Pleasant Feather Dreams ;>)
I like what I was able to see of the video LYNNE. It stops near the red barn like structure with the oncoming white truck. It looks like a nice town though and I am pleased that it is close to work...this would be wonderful as you won't have to put out for gas and you can always find something else as you stand on your own feet once Steve is healed and is able to get a job again.
It was Jordyn teacher Bday today and Jordyn took in one of her crowns to wear a Pink one and she did to when I got there she had it on so I took a picture we tell Jordyn when its your Bday you are the princess for the day and she took it from there and came up with the idea to take one of her crowns to school today
I like that Manchester has such a wonderful history and it is an established town. How far away is it from where you live now LYNNE...I know you drive there for work...I like too that there are trails around the town and a place to take the dogs for walks...Praying Praying Praying Praying...
AND....the yard at work is fenced in and we'd be allowed to take the dogs for some off leash play, and friend Gail, mother of the Doctor, has a huge fenced yard! Manchester is where we NEED to live!
ODD LYNNE2 I don't have a video on the page when I bring it up my stupide puter I guess and I even tried google chrome when it didn't come up on IE all I have is a big white area where the video should be and there is a story with picture I will try tomorrow ODD I dislike puters when they don't do what they are suppose to
I think you are right LYNNE...you said tomorrow you will check out the two other places and then make a decision? Oh I am going to be so excited to hear about which one you chose and that you could be moved by the first of the month... Blessings LYNNE Blessings...

IS IT THE SAME PICTURES HE POSTED WITH A LINK YESTERDAY
THEY ARE MAGNIFICANT
SHEP DOING EGG ROLL
Good morning! Getting very good at sleeping late. It was rather cool this morning and slept with the window open a little. It was so cozy in bed...did not want to get up!
Watched the switch at egg sitting while reading the paper. I think Shep does better at it than Belle.
Not sure Judy, it's a frontal view of a GBH with his mouth open and it's so cool!
Wandy, just rain rain and now fog and mist. Very minimal freezing. Thank you Lord!
Wandy???? Wanda, I think you just got a new nickname!
Glad, your weather has been okay so far, Lynne. We are expecting rain tomorrow...towards evening. Certainly hope so!!!
Time to start my day....I know, I know...it is half over. Oh, well!
Have a great day!
Shep still tending the egg. He is such a good daddy!
So you purchased escargot for the raccoons, Lolly. How lovely!
LOL...WANDY! I like it!
LOLLY and the camera didn't capture the racoons eating it???
Shep has been very diligent in taking care of his parental duties. I am impressed.
Wandy--I like it!
Lots of people from the Norfolk nest are posting on the OC now.
Sad day for me today. My beautiful golden retriever Daisy went over the rainbow bridge this morning. I knew it was coming, but still..This is the first time in my life I haven't had a dog.
Oh, so very sorry about Daisy. That is so hard. (((hugs)))
Judy, finding the remains of the snails was some time ago. We just got the pond cam.
Jack has moved the pond cam to the upper pond. He is running a test. We are wondering if the waterfall will set off the cam. We shall see!
Shep still doing his fatherly duty!
Wandy, waiting to hear from you and wondering if you like your new nickname. It is original!
So sorry about Daisy.
I guess Wandy has wandered off, Lolly.
Shep is restless.
So sorry to hear about Daisy LYNNE1
and LOLLY you should go down and buy some to bait the raccoons LOL
Shep is up for a pick at nest and now back down
Thanks. I hope I changed my profile picture to one of her I took a few days ago
I got the cam up with the owl in the nest now too
Very nice picture, Lynne1.
shep poof eagle calls
sounds like HP on tree
Something happening.
he flew up to the top and the cam shook and lots of eagle calls HMMMM scratching head
It sure shook the cam, whatever it was.
If that was HP, it must have been good. Earthquake good.
SHEP does rock her world Cam shakes now
BELLE RETURNS
Well, taking a peek in and see the egg unattended. HP or something else? Hmmmmm?? Hope not an intruder.
Ah...there is Belle. Went straight to the egg and settleing in.
DOES SHE HAVE THAT LOOK OF JUST HAVING HP lol LOL ♥
Oh, you two are funny!
I am dressed in street clothes, as Jo puts it. Heaing out. Do not like the white knit I found yesterday, so off to see if I can find something that matches the suit better.
Ta dah!!!!
Heading out!!!!! Grrrr!
Good luck, Lolly. Sometimes it can be hard to find something you think should be easy to find.
BELLE got up turned around picked at bup and is back down
CUP
Just saw a lovely bluebird on my fence. Just where the hawk was the other day.
And now a woodpecker at the suet.
I see rain drops at the nest Cool beans about the bird SHIRLEY
He did not stay long. I think I need to replace that suet. It does not look like the birds like it much. It has been there awhile now.
I am sure that if I take it out and leave it in the yard, the squirrels will run off with it.
SOOOOO SAD A osprey nest caught fire in a light pole at Derby Lanes track The parent birds where circling the nest when the flames where 10ft tall soooo sad
Afternoon, all.
Looks as if a few snow flakes are blowing around the nest. Belle is taking care of eggbert.
Lynne, so sad for you. Daisy looks to have been a lovely companion.
it's snowing! ohh no...
I was just about to say the same thing DONNIE Its not suppose to be bad
out off hear see ya later
It's more rain then snow. 36 outside right now
I like this camera angle. they really steped it up this year! and the sounds are great.
I do see a few flakes flying about. I hope it does not amount to much. Haven't forgotten when it did--Was that 2010?
hi! Yes I think it was the 2010 season...that was sad...
BUT not as sad as the 2006 (?) season in British Columbia!
:-(
Good Morning/Afternoon!
Happy Red Friday, everyone! Emma and I slept in fairly late this morning, after getting Ken off to work at about 3:20am. We woke up at about 7:30 to find that it had rained earlier. Wow, Andy, glad you were at home when that happened. Would have been bad to get caught outdoors somewhere.
I don't know about the 2006 event in British Columbia, Geula.
We did have an eaglet in 2010. I believe that was Palmer, if I remember correctly.
Lynne1, so sorry to hear that Daisy Rose has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. (((Huge Hugs))) for you! That's a very nice picture of her.
It's so sad to lose a furbaby.

GOOD NIGHT to all and MAWOY (may angels watch over you and the eagle pair and eggie too)!
So good to see Geula on here!!! We have missed you!
Belle chirping.
Calling. I think this is a message to Shep to get the heck down here.
Yes! A fish for Belle.
I had typed a message to Geula about the reaction of the eagle when she found that a raven had taken her egg.
She cried pitifully. It was the cry of a mother who had lost her child. Heartbreaking.
I was about to post the message when I got kicked off the Internet for some reason. Was able to get back on, but my post got lost.
Going to try again. Will save, just in case.
A new thread and 80 comments - need to read back.
I think 2010 - back-to-back snow storms.
Nice to see Belle get some wingersize while Shep takes over. Pretty light at the nest. Even prettier is the absence of snowflakes.
Yes, we do not need snowflakes now.
Lynne1, I'm so sorry to hear about Daisy Rose! What a sad day for you.
Janet, wonderful advice about letting go of the things we can't control. wish it was as easy to do as it is to say!

Good Afternoon, Eagle Buds !
That Shep is one heck of a father ! With last years training he is now a pro !
LYNNE1, we dog lovers certainly feel your pain and love seeing the picture of your dear Daisy. Hugs !
WANDY, huh ? I like it too !
Oh, LOLLY, an Escargo feast for your hungry racoons ! How special. Guess they're only doing what comes naturally, huh ?
GUELA has visited ! Yeah ! She is the 1st Momster who greeted me way back when and I always love seeing her here !
LORI, what's the news on your Dad ? Prayers continuing !
Love and prayers as well for JO and all in need ! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Good afternoon all
GRANNYBLT: my heart goes out to you....light and love to you on this sad day.
Time to get the kid. Later gaters

Got home and Jack is not here????? do not know where he is and thought we would go into church to clean up the prayer garden. Big event at church Sunday and need to clean up. Just remembered that while out.
Oh, good grief, Lolly. I remember once when someone on here asked others to cuss for her. So here goes:
&^%#@ *#@*%!!! %$#@!!!
I guess that is the appropriate kind of cussing when a person can't make it to church to get ready for an upcoming event, for heaven's sake!
We did not have front plates when I was growing up in North Carolina, but we do have them in Virginia. My father told me that they stopped using them during WWII in NC and decided they were not necessary.
lol Shirley!! Appreciate the cussing.
Wonder where he is??? He was going to be home today. He was working in the yard when I left.
Well, he ain't here, Lolly. Wish I could help you.
Lolly, can you please explain the significance of the Elvis costume?? I feel like I should know but I don't have a clue! Who/what is it for?
Shep calling out! Using his little man voice!
Shep took off and Belle is back in the nest. Settling down on the egg. Wonder when/if egg #2 will be laid??
Sandi, her son-in-law Joey wears the Elvis costume when he does his impersonations. I think it is part of a July 4 celebration.
I'm answering because I think Lolly is out seeking her hubby..
Egg #2 should come soon.
Thanks, Shirley!
OK, time to fix food for people and dogs. Later!
It's going to get quite windy in the morning hereabouts too Sandi...
gonna be noisy!
Good Evening Eagle Pals...
Holding grannyblt in my heart at the loss of dear Daisy Rose...
it's a wonderful picture as your avatar, grannyblt...
(( Hugs ♥ ))
Donnie was on earlier...he is from just across the Potomac in Maryland...I saw those snowflakes he was talking about also
Welcome back Donnie...come back and visit again
My Lynn♥ windchimes are a'tinkling
mightily here in Martinsburg
Shirley: Earthquake Good...
that's a good one ! You rascal.
Briefly, I had a good talk with some of the nursing home staff
and a good visit with Lorraine; I think we got a few things resolved, with more to be revealed...
need to lean on the doctor a wee bit about some unexplained swelling in her extremities...
all of us visitors are going to try to be on the Up and Up with our visits to Lorraine...encourage her every step of the way
Thank you to all of you for your support and prayers ♥
Not the greatest egg-laying weather, but nature happens,
and if there is another egg ready it probably isn't to wait for
nice weather....
as history has shown us
Oh, when Shirley's internet konked out earlier, is just when Shep brought one nice sized whole fish to Belle...she mantled immediately and I do think she took it with her when she flew off, or else she inhaled it
I really really dislike high winds.
Best of the Best Wishes for a Good, Safe, Warm Evening for all....
Hope that all in the path of Nemo can stay safe and warm also...
ttfn supper needs to be fixed her
♥
ok joining in the typo pool
HERE
Lolly, has Jack returned yet?
Hope all is well regarding that
xo
Found something worth repeating on facebook, click on my blog: 10 Things your Dog would say to you. I have tears streaming down my face.....
Elvis on the Square
This link will take you to the homepage for Elvis on the Square. In the upper left hand cornor there is a photos link. Click on it...you can see the high waters. lol Also, (yikes!) just saw my own picture. I am sitting with Laurel and looking over my shoulder. Joseph and his best bud Joe are also in the pic.
Corner!!! sp mistake! ☺
Okay Yay on Jack, Lolly...of course he was out doing a good deed!
The wind is shaking the tree, big
time :(
Evening, all!
Wanda, did you ever find your trash can?
Just went out an picked a lot of daffodils for an arrangement. Rain coming tomorrow thought I better pick them now!
Also, heading to Denton in the morning for basketball.
Paula.....her name is Wandy! lol
Belle's tucked and the wind is blowing her feathers.
Glad I got it partially right, Lolly. I just associated it with a July 4th celebration.
I am off to fix dinner. Thinking of salmon patties and green onion sauce. Have fresh green beans and risotto left over from last night.
I think I'm going to go tuck my head under my wings for the night.
Good night everyone. Wonder if we will get a second egg?
Prayers for Jo and Lori's dad and all those in need.
So sorry to hear about Lynne1's Daisy.
Wind is really going here in Hagerstown and it looks like at the nest as well. Hold on tight Belle.
LYNNE 1 So sorry about DAISEY. You gave her the best life and I am sure she misses you too.
Oh I see we have a new member to the blog by the name of WANDY who does the same things like our WANDA!
Jennifer sent a Momster email where she said JO will be in the hospital this weekend too...not yet ready to go home.Prayers on going and continue.
Beautiful spring like day here!!! I almost thought I could do without the boots!!! AMAZING!!! Walked without my poles as the streets are clear.
Very excited about the CHILDREN'S FESTIVAL tomorrow. It sounds like it will be a lot of fun and we are ready!!!
LOLLY I am glad you found your JUBBY!
Glad to see many from the east checking in and that you are safe and sound.STAY THAT WAY!!!
Um, about Wandy's trash can -- there is a secret place where things go never to be seen again. One report states that an object with the shape of a trash can was spotted all tied up with a shiny green ribbon.
Gracious me I agree DANA that wind is WICKED!!! It is lifting Belle's feathers and it sounds ugly. Surprised the live feed is still up in this wind...
In this wind, I can believe that, Judie
Week-end in the hospital Jo, thinking that the physial therapy will fix Jo right up for next week going home
Thanks for sharing the information. Hoda....I realy need to check that email program daily
Oh Noooooooooooooooooo you don't MISS JUDIE!!! WANDY'S trash can did not make it up to CANADA!!! This is the last we saw of the shiny green ribbons if I remember correctly!!! LOL!!!
Wind is strong at the nest. Hope Belle continues to sleep.
Wind here is also becoming increasingly fierce. Do not like fierce wind in the huge trees in the back.
So nice of Jenny to keep us up-to-date on Jo. Just wishing Jo continued progress toward going home to her recliner and her family.
I am contemplating thawing out another Oatmeal Creme Pie...for dessert...since it is about time
to contemplate on when Egg #2 might deliver...
even in this wicked wind, it
could happen
Does anyone know how strong the wind is at the nest? It sounds like gale force winds!!!
Stay Safe JUDIE...are those trees close to your house? Are tehy swinging? Do you have an escape plan?
Ah Hoda, the shiny green ribbon is quite the slippery suspect. Earlier report indicated the shiny green ribbon had made its way through Wandy land and sped off to its hideaway deep under the midwestern snow.
Oat meal cream pie sounds like a good idea MARGY. I have to think vegetables and proteins before I contemplate desert!
Oh a relief!!! Midwestern snow maybe it is closer to LOLLY as it is southwestern...it will not find its way into Ontario and Québec as the storm is fierce there right now.
Tell me how much of a danger are those trees to your house? JUDIE
Trees are close enough to do serious damage - makes me nervous. Escape plan? Yes: run like the devil is after me!
Going to put my feet up. BBL
JUDIE If you know the trajectory of the wind and the sway of the tree you would know what are the places in the house you should not sit in case a tree comes down. OH MY !!! Instead of worrying I will put you and DARTH in my prayers!
I had beef and a salad already,
Hoda...
hate to load up on sugars this late in the evening though
Hoping that all the trees will
stay upright and rooted Judie
will get wind speeds to you
shortly Hoda
Oh the wind blew BELLE'S head from her tucked in position! This was not a voluntary movement. Awake and facing 10
THANK YOU MARGY. Supper sounded good at your roost. I am thinking I need to prepare some Basmati rice with corriander and makes a scallops and vegetables stir fry...
Hunter is off to the middle-school hangout, called Golden Skate World, I believe.
It's just the critters and me tonight.
Kathryn is still training for her new job. Supposed to continue with that through Wednesday. So far, all is going well.
Winds
are WNW at 2 with gusts up to
41
Hoda
on Saturday, windy, high 37
this would be about the same,
but winds seem to be greater
high up in the nest branches
I see that Belle has her head untucked. I think we are very thankful that this wind is not blowing snow into the nest.
oh sorry left a digit out
winds are about 23 mph
with gusts up to 41
Belle is now tucked again.
I think I had better feed the cats. Lucky is trying to get onto the recliner with me. Awhile ago, he snuggled down and slept beside me. Now, I think he might have something else in mind. He is hissing and growling.
BBL.
I hae a nephew in England who was
going to fly home into NYC Saturday...
no chance of that
have a niece in Connecticut who
was going to fly home to
California Saturday, no chance of that either from the looks of things
Keep checking in SHIRLEY since you are by your self there...
THANK YOU MARGY 23 and 41...the 41 is very worriesome!!!
Yep I decided scallops and vegetables are good so off to prepare...
Not good!
I had to turn the sound down on the cam...too much wind. Belle is tucked so I expect no egg tonight. Time will tell!
Oh sounds super delicous LOLLY!
It was very good, Hoda. I love risotto and the beans, though warmed over were good too. I have a great recipe for fresh green beans.
Belle is untucked.
So very thankful the snow is not reaching down to that part of the country.
Yes I see that LOLLY!
Think I am going to read for a while. Jack is in the study watching the STARS play hockey.
Ontario and Québec are totally covered and some parts have lost electricity.
Yes glad snow is not making it to the nest. The wind is bad enough.
egg roll
egg roll
winds are definitely getting worse
Oh dear three dead in southern Ontario from the snow...white out conditions!
Glad some things are on a roll with Lorraine Margy!
Very sad about the woman dying shoveling snow....every time we get a big snow in these parts, they warn of the dangers of shoveling.
Hope and pray all in the path of the storm stay safe.
Anyway, Lucky has been rescued and fed.
Wonderful, Lynne! I am excited for you.
Will has arrived home. Heard a thump from the basement and looked to see if his car was in front of the house. it is.
He often comes in via the basement door.
Would be so nice for you to be able to walk to work, Lynne. So many advantages to that.
Saves big time on the gas bill and frees the car for the other to drive!! Wow weeeee!
I payed 3.35 for gas today and actually paid 2.91 a few weeks ago.
So pleased about the news of the house and maybe the little more for rent than you planned would be alright once STEVE goes back to work or I hope there is some disability pay coming in soon...
stamps not stams!!!
Sounds delightful, Lynne...
Best Wishes that it all works out,
I like the sound of the bottom floor roost!
Sounds good for you too, Hoda...
sounds like things are in order for you also.
Oh, Lucky, Shirley...
glad you figured out the problem
The nest: it's a testament to the crib rails and the flugg that they are not flying wildly adrift to parts unknown in this wind.
YES, there is a nature center very close and also a little park, and two other parks very close. Lots of woods to hike in nearby as well! Sidewalks along the streets! Small and quiet town! Lots of local events each season.
Manchester MD
Need to take a nice hot shower...BBL
hoping that perhaps Wanda and the Gang had Friday Night Fun Night
Paula, I had tried to order a favorite men's cologne a few years ago also...the order "took" but then it was canceled, out of stock
forever :(
I'm headed for the pillows....
'Night Night all,
including Belle, Shep
and Eggbert
thinking of our dear Lynne1 tonight and in the days to come,
with the loss of her dear
Daisy Rose
Prayers for Wellness All Around...
God Bless This Nest,
and God Bless Us, Every One xox ♥
Good evening eaglebudlets
Jordyn has left the building LOL
Angie and Carl just left
so its time for me to try to unwind
SOOOOO SOOOO happy LYNNE2 will be
keeping everything I have crossed
that things go your way for the
place you choose to move to
we went to Largo Central Park and while we were there the resident Hawk that lives there flew over our heads with a mouse or small rat in his talons and flew to the tree in the park to eat it I got pictures and video of it I put pic on fb and will upload videos in a bit
Cool, Lynne, hope you can get one of the 3 places...checking out the video now.
Been working on the basement, ugh.
Margy, it is a discontinued cologne that I am looking for...did find it elsewhere. Seems the perfumes I like too are mostly discontinued, too.
Well Lynne, I can't get the video to play long enough.
Here is a video of the hawk at the park today eating a mouse or small rat
Resident Hawk at the park today eating a mouse he flew over our heads
Belle is all tucked in
the wind is so strong I had to turn down the volume you can see it blow the flugg in the nest I bet it rockin Belle to sleep
It was Jordyn teacher Bday today and Jordyn took in one of her crowns to wear a Pink one and she did to when I got there she had it on so I took a picture
we tell Jordyn when its your Bday you are the princess for the day and she took it from there and came up with the idea to take one of her crowns to school today
ODD LYNNE2 I don't have a video on the page when I bring it up my stupide puter I guess and I even tried google chrome when it didn't come up on IE all I have is a big white area where the video should be and there is a story with picture I will try tomorrow ODD I dislike puters when they don't do what they are suppose to
Some of the railing sticks at three are moving in this gale force wind!!! Makes me nervous!!!!
this is a link to a camera in TIME SQUARE NY
TIME SQUARE LIVE CAMERA
I think you are right LYNNE...you said tomorrow you will check out the two other places and then make a decision? Oh I am going to be so excited to hear about which one you chose and that you could be moved by the first of the month... Blessings LYNNE Blessings...
