hmmm a feather. OK I shall wish Dana to see many a feather rxcept its raining so we will go see tractors. Thanks for the thread Stever. HAGD all. prayers for all needs.
Big old stick at the 9 is going to need some serious work... and as Shirley mentioned, the area from 7 to 9 on the nest needs some work....right where the Dragon is
Best Wishes for A Good Day, Pals... Prayers for all our many needs.... new ones, and longstanding ones...
SHOUT OUT TO JO....MAYBE SHE WILL GET SOME NEST VIEWS TODAY !
Whoo hooo, Egg has been laid. I know Mom is happy as can be upstairs!!!! Not sure if a boy or a girl, but if its a girl, I will call that baby Lynnie. Thanks Margy for the text last evening!! Here at work. Our parking lot is filled up. The medics have a meeting upstairs. Have a great egg watching day!! All my love to all.
Bless Shep's Heart....He is learning the ropes, did some egg rolling, some fluff tending, and a wee bit of wiggle wiggle... Just relax, Shep, Settle in, You're Doing Swell ! And Mom gets a little break.. Bravo !!!
GOOD MORNING... Hey, Red...I don't think we are getting any snow here in NESTVILLE, unless you have something different than I have (haven't listened to weather this morning). I do believe we have a good deal of rain coming in the nest few days...that is hard to watch too!
G'Morning Red and Wanda... hoping see Movin'Jim, Andrea, Kay and Birdie Girl check in today !
And hoping Linda will find the current thread ☺
Headed out soon, James has half day, we're coming back down to Martinsburg for an Eye Exam...he thinks he needs glasses, his Dad says he will be Mad if he finds out he does NOT, since it happened once before like that
Blessings and Lovins' on Your Days, Pals...xoxox ♥
James would be mad that is, HE thinks he needs them....I kind of hope - NOT.. James will get over being Mad... but eyeglasses are an aggravation he really probably does not need at the age or 13
Belle and Shep were both trying to get those pesky sticks (at 9o'clock) moved back out of the way. Earlier, Belle tusseled with one at 2:30, back and forth her head went. Not sure if she got it moved or not, have to go back and look.
Shep has turned out to be a good Daddy...watch how carefully he draws those talons up when he steps into the egg cup...keeps pulling the soft fluff around the egg. Yep, our LYNN would be proud of her 'namesake'!
RED...hope that some of that snow doesn't DRIFT back down our way. Supposed to be an Historic Snow! No doubt we will get some before the month of February is over! As I recall, Belle and Lib were able to handle the snow and the rain, but it was the ice that did them in, along with the eggs:(
Yes, Margy, eyeglasses would likely be an annoyance for a 13-year-boy. I hope he does not need them, but it is good to have his vision checked just in case.
Sitting here looking out the window, I see so many squirrel nests in the trees out back here. And I think I saw the hawk again, up high in one of the trees back there.
Good morning! Have been watching the cam while reading the paper and enjoying my coffee. Nice to bring it up and know there will be an eagle in the nest.
Loved the video of the egg laying. Thanks Paula for calling it to our attention.
Margy, Michael got glasses when he was in 5th grade. Poor boy needed them badly!! He had complained so I took him to the eye doctor. I was sitting there when he could not read the chart. My first reaction was "this is not funny, do not kid about this!" though that would not have been typical of him. The poor boy had terrible eye sight! About middle school we got him contacts and now he is considering surgery.
Good morning, Shirley! I am just dandy! Washed my hair this morning and as soon as I start stirring around plan to get beautiful and then head to Fort Worth for the bone density test.
Hooray!!! Eggbert is here!! Been planning to get on 'puter every night, but keep Panda napping after work! Got some pretty good pics at Park on Tuesday I have to put in Nook. Waiting for fingers to thaw from helping in garage! YIPPEE!!
Good afternoon everyone! I am not loving this egg being by itself for so long. Belle is not acting like her usual self with her parenting duties. Wonder what is up? Hope everyone is well!!
stupid spinning circle messes things up hard to tell if he brought in food Belle is at 6 and he is at 3 she looks like she as soemthing over it but I didn't see shep have anyting but with the circle
LYNNE - I am so sorry you have a deadline to face for a move, especially with Steve unable to help with much of anything and the weather being rather cold for moving.
It will be quite a while before Steve will be able to work, right? Is there any way for him to go on some sort of disability temporarily? That may help the budget.
OSHA, that's pretty funny, Judy. Also, so interesting about that GHO on the eagle egg. Bless that poor thing if it hatches. hehehe Just kidding, I know it's not viable. I have to wonder though, what was the intruder that ran the eagles off in the first place.
MARGY, rest assured, I have checked in and am tickled pink with the latest accomplishment of our dear Belle ! The 2013 eaglet season is off to a great start--hope Shep quickly recalls all the lessons learned last year !
So happy with news of JO's accomplishments, too ! Already going off to PT---good work !
Weather here is looking good today and for about a week out. Here's hoping it makes me feel a little better than I've been feeling for the last few days. Thank goodness for Penny and her ability to cheer me and keep me up n' at em' !
Prayers for LORI's dad, DANA's dad, LYNNE and STEVE's housing needs and any other Momster, Dadster, Kidster or Petster in need ! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Yes they do know what they are doing and so we just watch and try to understand it all. There is talk of how strong a storm you all will be getting so I hope you stay safe and that the ROYAL COUPLE and their EGG are also alright.
Good to read the posts on the nest happenings. Thank you.
YES PRAYERS CONTINUE.
I read a post where LYNNE is taking her computer in before work to check the sound. Does this mean we will not have LYNNE on line now??? NOT GOOD
back.....I had a good laugh just now when I was reading back at the older posts of today!! It looks like some things never change....boy, are we worriers!! "why aren't they in the nest?" "Has this ever happened before that they're just standing around in the nest?" "Is there an intruder?" "Have we prayed for no snow/blizzard/freezing rain/wind/sleet at the nest?"
Actually, it could be ANY year, last year, or any other start of the egg laying time! LOL!
Oh, and then when the fluff balls all hatch, we worry that they're not eating enough! We go pale when they start to poop shoot and tell them to be careful when they jump up and try their wing flapping thing.
and don't we sort of get teary when we wake up to an M T nest after they have fledged? Some things don't change! LOL!
I forgot about the off egg thing for the first egg. I guess that the off egg thing slows down the in-egg growth process, so that # 1 doesn't get HUGE while his/her nestmates are small.
Oh Geula, you are so right! We are worriers and it always the same worries isn't it! Thanks for the laugh and the sigh of relief that came with it. LOL!!!
Just returned from Fort Worth...had the bone density test done. Results to the doctor tomorrow. Wish all tests were that easy and that fast with results. Scheduled an office visit necessary before the colonoscopy. That visit is in two weeks. Wish it was all sooner as I want to get it over with!!!!
I have asked Will to look at it. I am wondering if it is the switch or the battery. Kathryn's computer is like mine, so we can probably try her battery in my computer to check that, but I want Will to take a look at it first.
Touching base this afternoon....been a lovely day. 65. cloudy though, think we might have a shower.
can't stay long ...almost time to go get the kid. i don't mind picking her up, but the people up there are quite rude (other parents) and i get so tired of the nonsense.....parking yoru car in the middle of the circle so noone can get around you ....instead of pulling to the side and parking like everyone else.... *sigh*
oh well, such is life...here i go.
hugs to all. hope everyone is enjoying a great day..... :D
Greetings to Geula and Red!!! I just put some TU Park eagle pics on Blog. And you're right! I wanted to tell the ones here to "get in that nest"!!! (If they do live there) I assumed Park eggs would get laid earlier than NCTC nest since we're a little further south.DUH~~~guess they really do know what they're doing!
Last nesting season, I was so worried/concerned about Shep b/c he's young. First there were his "mating issues" which he corrected after his chat with Red! =) But then I worried if he would know how to egg sit, if he would know to bring food to Belle or relieve her, if he would know how to feed and take care of the eaglets.
He did everything just fine and 2 very healthy juvies fledged. So this year, I am much more relaxed about our pair.
I have been following the Columbus Falcon cam for a number of years now and I specifically recall Donna Daniel, the DNR expert who writes the blog, saying that the falcons don't start incubating until the last egg is laid so that all of the eggs will hatch closer together. Belle has been doing this for a long time - I have complete confidence in her "parenting instincts."
Long, long week for me!! So glad that tomorrow is Friday!! Sometimes, as challenging as the kids can be, it's the adults - parents, colleagues, and administrators - who are the biggest PIA!!! Nuff said!
Egg alone again. I am not so much worried about it being alone as to what are the two white spots I see in the nest?
Sitting here ripping out the hem of Elvis' suit. Bought white knit and red satin yesterday. Going to lengthen Elvis' suit by about 4 inches. Bet non of you have had this chore before! lol
Watching the nest action and catching up on the blog. Wonder how Mema Jo is this evening. I am heading out to a meeting. Will check back in later. Love and hugs all around!!
I have been sitting here for almost 2 hours. I am about 3/4 through with ripping out the hem and the red satin "gussets". Good grief! Bigger job than I expected. Having to remove some of the shiny brass decorations that were put on after it was sewed up.
Stopping for a while to cook dinner.
All is quiet at the nest except I had to turn down the sound as the wind is a blowing!!
Oh LOLLY I remember a picture of you sitting down putting on the shiny decorations on the Elvis outfit!!! Yes it is an ardous job if you are having to take them out!!! I hope it is almost done...3/4 of the way is a good thing and then you will have to put the addition and then the shiny stuff again...Bless your heart.
I'm a little late getting home. I stopped by the hospital to see JO!!
She is doing much better. She says she hopes they let her out soon. They want her O2 levels higher before she can go home. She has not been bored, she has been resting and eating well. The kids have been coming by to visit.
She asked about just about everyone, and I told her we were all doing pretty good. She is excited and happy about the egg for sure!
She has some pretty Momster flowers and plants and a card from Samantha, I think.
She wants everyone to know that she is doing better, and is looking forward to going home. She sends love, prayers and hugs to everyone who calls this blog home.
I was able to deliver several big Momster hugs from all of us. ♥

Morning, all.
Hope everyone slept well :)
Belle was just up rolling, digging and repositioning, then some calling out. Facing 11 now.
Thanks for the new thread, Steve, and for the call-over, Glo. Belle was just watching something above the nest and calling.
Hi Paula!
My goodnes, Belle is loud right now--wonder if it was an intruder or just a call ?
Good Morning, everyone!
Thanks for the new thread, STEVE and for the call over, GlO!
Good Morning Eagle Pals...
Sounds like Shep rose to the occasion and did some egg-duty
Thanks for the New Thread, Steve
and the Great Picture !
Thanks Glo for the alert to the new thread....
and I strangely have NO sound, but I heard the Advertisement :(
anyone else having a sound problem?
Sure looks like the NorthEast is going to get clobbered by
Snowstorm Nemo this week-end
Lori....guess you might be landlocked also as you mentioned your weather outlook
Neat video clip, Paula...
from Doreen, thanks !
Oh, small miracle, I have sound..
hear the motor engines and the crows now ☺
The sycamore branch at the lower left, out from the 7 spot,
sure reminds me of a Dragon ☺
A friendly one, maybe like
Puff the Magic Dragon
Belle is trying to rearrange the lumber yard
saw the Royal egg ☺
Big old stick at the 9 is going to need some serious work...
and as Shirley mentioned,
the area from 7 to 9 on the nest

Good Morning all you eagle lovers!
MUST take the computer in to the DR. this AM before work. Can't deal with the no sound thing. Especially now! WE HAVE AN EGG TO RAISE!
Gotta run, will check in from work as time allows!
GOOD morning everyone.
Isn't it great to see an egg in the nest?!!
Not that we ever stop praying but let the prayers begin.
Good morning everyone, just popping in to see how Mema Jo is and hope everyone else is doing fine.
So glad Belle had her egg...
Robyn

You're Doing Swell !
And Mom gets a little break..
Bravo !!!
Man oh Man look at how he has white
tail extended
You DO have big shoes/talons to fill there, Buddy...
but we're proud of you ♥
Righto on Sweetness1, Sweetness2,
♥ (( Hugs ))
Good morning eagle lovers.
So Belle layed her egg just in time for the big snowfall. I hate it when she gets covered with snow.
I think Shep will help more this year. He did ok last year for a beginner.
Keep smiling!!!!!
GOOD MORNING...
Hey, Red...I don't think we are getting any snow here in NESTVILLE, unless you have something different than I have (haven't listened to weather this morning).

Good Morning Everybody! How funny it is watching Shep fidget on the nest. Just like a nervous daddy. lol
Belle and Shep were both trying to get those pesky sticks (at 9o'clock) moved back out of the way. Earlier, Belle tusseled with one at 2:30, back and forth her head went. Not sure if she got it moved or not, have to go back and look.
Further research and it looks like the heavy snow will be north of the nest.
Sorry for my misinformation.

Yes, she sure would, Wanda.
The weather forecasters in Washington are saying a bit of winter stuff coming, but not much, then rain.
I keep hearing chirps. I think it is Belle. She must be nearby. Shep is on the nest.
34 degrees in Shepherdstown now.
Has anyone beat Shirley in "Scrabble"? She whips my butt every time. lol
Someday......maybe!!
Your turn, Red. I have an awful mess of letters right now. :)
Love your avatar, Red.
Egg alone on the nest.
Both back at nest
Both in nest.
Shep flew off and Belle is now sitting on the egg. Getting pretty windy at the nest.
Shep has poofed and Belle has finally settled on the nest.
Good morning! Have been watching the cam while reading the paper and enjoying my coffee. Nice to bring it up and know there will be an eagle in the nest.
Loved the video of the egg laying. Thanks Paula for calling it to our attention.
Good morning, Lolly. How are you today?
Shep's just landed on the cam with a thump
Margy, Michael got glasses when he was in 5th grade. Poor boy needed them badly!! He had complained so I took him to the eye doctor. I was sitting there when he could not read the chart. My first reaction was "this is not funny, do not kid about this!" though that would not have been typical of him. The poor boy had terrible eye sight! Saw the cam shake, Susan.
Good morning, Shirley! I am just dandy! Washed my hair this morning and as soon as I start stirring around plan to get beautiful and then head to Fort Worth for the bone density test.
Neat that that test does not require an appointment...you just walk in! Oh, I like!
Belle is so pretty sitting there on the nest.
Yes, she surely is, Lolly. A beauty.
Good afternoon!
Hi Bob.
Bringing over from last thread~~~~~
Hooray!!! Eggbert is here!!
Been planning to get on 'puter every night, but keep Panda napping after work!
Got some pretty good pics at Park on Tuesday I have to put in Nook.
Waiting for fingers to thaw from helping in garage!
YIPPEE!!

Hey Susan!
Egg all alone in the nest.
Hi Bob!
Nice to see you here today.
Hey Shirley. I need to make more visits. Changed jobs a year ago and sit in a "bullpen" so I have less opportunity. On a lunch break now.
Egg has been alone for 12 minutes now.
Eggbert has been lonely now for 20 minutes
YAY! an EGGIE! How are you all? how is our Mema Jo?
I hope to be around a bit...
Geula!!
Oh my, they are talking about a blizzard almost as bad as the one in 1978, but, thank goodness, not in Nestville.
We were in Ohio then. That was an awful storm.
Good afternoon and Thanks for the new thread STEVE and how long as EGGBERT been alone
EAGLE RETurn
A "bullpen," Bob. That sounds interesting. Not even a cubicle, I guess.
Yay! Hi, Geula! Long time, no see.
Belle was off the nest 27 minutes and has returned. Just standing in the nest, not on egg
Last I heard, Jo had moved out of the ICU to a regular room.
Good afternoon everyone! I am not loving this egg being by itself for so long. Belle is not acting like her usual self with her parenting duties. Wonder what is up? Hope everyone is well!!
I am hoping to hear soon that our precious Mema Jo is home!!! Bless her heart, she has had a time.
I'm with you, Sharon, about the Belle AND Jo.
Yes, Sissy. We need our Mema Jo to come back home.
Seems like Shep would have brought a fish to the nest, also.
Conflicting edit--Blogger cop took my comment.
I was just remarking about how Belle shook something off her beak.
I have been trying to remember how much Belle left the egg alone in previous years. I know we always worried, but then the egg would hatch just fine.
Looks bloody, she must have been off eating.
She needs a Wet One. hehe
Sorry, Bev :~/
BELLE yawns
HELLO GUELA so happy to see you back with us
eagle crys
she[ is near
no there is a intruder i think
no its shep with food I think
Belle calling. I think that is a food delivery.
I do believe we just had a food delievery. Sitting across the room and heard all the crying out!
stupid spinning circle messes things up hard to tell if he brought in food Belle is at 6 and he is at 3 she looks like she as soemthing over it but I didn't see shep have anyting but with the circle
Was a little hard to tell because of the buffering.
doesn't il look like she is hovering something
Hope that is flugg across the egg and not a crack!!!!!
I knew you would figure it out Susan!! LOL!!
yep and she is eating it
I knew you would figure it out Susan!! LOL!!
She is eating.
She is chowing down. Will not let us see what she is eating.
Good Shep bring in food
Shep shakes his feathers now get on that egg
I noticed the same thing, Lolly. I think it must be flugg.
in the buffering is when she must have grabbed the food I guess
Both parents in the nest and the egg exposed. I am confused.
I have to think they know what they are doing.
OH the OWL was in the nest again last nite to this am I read on FB and there is a no eagle cam out there also HUMBOLDT BAY is its name
US JORDAN LAKE, CAROLINA AND DNR someone put pic on FB all 4 are sitting on a egg Don't know where DNR
I think Shep is waiting for some nestovers.
Poof Belle.
Poof Shep.
Good Afternoon!!
All caught up and....
finally posting on the right thread...
Thanks to LYNNE for
bringing my comments over from
last night! Guess I was really tired!
Shep has returned!
He's going to do some egg sitting now!!
Shep returned and is settling on the egg.
Thank goodness.
They are talking more and more about a bilzzard in the Northeast. We did not get out of our driveway until a frontloader came and dug us out in 1978.
We lived in Columbus, then.
I am sure they do know what they are doing, I just try to make them act human. And I worry like a human! LOL!!!
Unfortunately they always hype these weather events...
And you never know if you
should really worry or NOT!
At least they will be prepared...
We have a local weather guy
that says there are too many
variables to really predict
exactly what is going to happen
with this one!
Okay, back to work for me.....
Will have the screen up while I work ;)
Looks like Belle just landed on the tree or camera!!
Shep is off the egg
the say on the news down here that the peeps will be snowed in till Sun So glad the nest isn't its path
in all the years of me watching various nest I don't reacall the parent being off the egg unless it was warm Ok Shep is going back down on eggbert
I see the stick that SHEP brought in yesterdays is still in a bad position a trip hazard Hope OSHA doesn't stop by LOL
OSHA, that's pretty funny, Judy. Also, so interesting about that GHO on the eagle egg. Bless that poor thing if it hatches. hehehe Just kidding, I know it's not viable. I have to wonder though, what was the intruder that ran the eagles off in the first place.

Weather here is looking good today and for about a week out. Here's hoping it makes me feel a little better than I've been feeling for the last few days. Thank goodness for Penny and her ability to cheer me and keep me up n' at em' !

NOT GOOD
Hoping Lynne will bet her computer fixed quickly. Of course, she can still communicate without the sound.
The storm is not supposed to be too bad at the nest, Hoda. At least that is what they are staying. The worst is to be further north.
Hi, Kay.
Glad your weather is supposed to be reasonable.
SHEP is up and doing egg roll
she is picking at sticks on rail and moving flugg
that should have been he
of I forgot the P LOL
Changing of the guard
howdy! from work!
gotta head out to the Library to get tax form and pick up Jordyn
back.....I had a good laugh just now when I was reading back at the older posts of today!!
LOL!
DO NOT PANIC
The first egg is often exposed more than the others as the eagle way of making sure HATCHING happens closer together.
NO WORRIES!!
Reading back....nice to see old friends on here!
RED....Shirley beats my ROYALY every single game of WWF....LOL! COme play with me, I CAN be beat!
so what is with the cams.....still cam and live cam? what are the links?
I forgot about the off egg thing for the first egg. I guess that the off egg thing slows down the in-egg growth process, so that # 1 doesn't get HUGE while his/her nestmates are small.
I found the live cam...it buffers a lot, doesn't it? or is it my connection...the nest looks good!
it does buffer a lot Guela. But the picture is so nice and we have real night vision this year so I don't complain!
The sound cannot be fixed on the computer. Seems this is a common defect in this model. Compu-Dr is looking into use of an external sound card. MTRB.
Oh Geula, you are so right! We are worriers and it always the same worries isn't it! Thanks for the laugh and the sigh of relief that came with it. LOL!!!
that egg looks lovely! ::SIGH::
That egg looks lonely! LOL
Hi Guela! It is really great to see your face on here!
Might not have too much more time on here today. I am using Kathryn's computer.
So, what is being done about your computer, Shirley?
Eagle just returned. Think it is Belle. She is at the top of the nest, hard to see an eagle without a head!!!!
Adult on nest, but egg not covered.
I have asked Will to look at it. I am wondering if it is the switch or the battery. Kathryn's computer is like mine, so we can probably try her battery in my computer to check that, but I want Will to take a look at it first.
Was going to say that both eagles were on the nest, but Shep just poofed.
Egg not covered.
Well, I was making a comment when my computer just shut down. Does that all the time. I have another laptop. Why do I not move?
Back to dusting. 75 here, bright sunshine and I have the house open.
Thanks LYNNE No Panic then!!!
Glad it went alright with the tests LOLLY.
Slow day here and am enjoying it a lot.
Belle moves towards the egg and I think is is going to roos for a while...
Good afternoon all! Wow, 158 comments on this new thread already??!!! REALLY???!!! Better get busy catching up! BRB!
Ha ha, you people are still worry warts. The eagles know what they are doing.

Long, long week for me!! So glad that tomorrow is Friday!! Sometimes, as challenging as the kids can be, it's the adults - parents, colleagues, and administrators - who are the biggest PIA!!! Nuff said!
Time to fix food for people and dogs! Later!
Egg alone again. I am not so much worried about it being alone as to what are the two white spots I see in the nest?
Sitting here ripping out the hem of Elvis' suit. Bought white knit and red satin yesterday. Going to lengthen Elvis' suit by about 4 inches. Bet non of you have had this chore before! lol
LOL Lolly ... never done an Elvis suit before!
LOLLY I think this is grass across the egg.
No I have never had to lengthen Elvis suit and I have never had to make one either...
It is what it is and that is all.
The camera shook so I think there is an adult up there...
Lolly, I'm pretty sure we are seeing 1 egg with a piece of grass on it that makes it look like 2.
It is deceiving here because it looks mild but in reality it is cold...shhhhhh don't tell anyone but I could have sworn I heard a robin!!!
Big shaking of the cam!
Eggs are laid 2-4 days apart...
Thanks PAULA.
SHAR earlier today said the 9th!!! It would be cool.
OK I am not shy to say: I wished Miss Belle would return and sit on this egg. It is getting dark out there!!!
So there this did not hurt a bit!!! LOL!!!
OK I hear you I hear you...lovely come on down
here she is...
my oh my is she vocal and I think Mr. Shep answered her
Eagle in the nest.
I can only see the still cam from work.
Belle on the nest alarm calling.
Eagle gone
SHAR keep us posted on Chris MOM please...treatment and such...
Belle is in the nest even though the only thing we can see is her talons on the top stick
Eagle was really fussing!
Eagle back
PAULA I think I see her Talons...she is ther yes she is there
Thanks for the clarification, Hoda!
Belle still in nest.
Oh, they are much more mouthier with an egg in the nest!
;)
Good evening, Ladies!!
night light on
Good evening sUSAn hope your day was good.
Belle approaching the cup and is digging and will do a roll
Hi Hoda. Good day but a little slow. Would rather be busy but I was able to watch some nest action. yeahhhh
Belle just settled down on the egg.
Good that you were able to watch the nest some sUSAn...sorry about slow...
I heard just now that the first robins were sighted in Nelson January 22 WOW WOW WOW!!! I was so excited when I heard it today...
Miss Belle is well settled in...
Sitting and ripping out the pants. More fun! Grrrrr! Watching the news and watching Belle.
Lolly, I have to say that I've never altered any Elvis pants. So funny.
Sounds windy at the nest and Belle is incubating and awake. Not tucked in once since I last posted.
Evening, all!
Oh, and Jo misses us as much as we miss her ♥
