*forgot my manners for a moment* coffee is just now hitting
Good mornign everyone! :) Had a good busy day yesterday, groceries in the snow in the morning.....Liv was supposed to have ballet, but the instructor never showed....and then I had Reiki Share @ 3:30. Had 6 people to show up. That was great!
Home and bed early. Having a pup needing to pee @ 3 a.m. the past few mornings had me behind in my sleep....but she slept thru last night and I slept from 9:30 last night to 7:15 this mornign. I am REFRESHED! :)
What's everyone doing for the "big" game today? I am not a huge football fan, so I will likely play with the grandkids....while everyone else hoots, hollers, and cheers at the tube....
Thank you Steve for the fresh Super Bowl thread and Janet for calling us over.
Lazy day here. Will watch the Puppy Bowl then the Super Bowl. BBQ ribs and slaw.
Oh, GDub lost against LaSalle yesterday but halftime was a fantastic treat. Armed Forces recognition day with the silent precision rifle/bayonet drill team. Seemed the louder the crowd the better they performed. National Anthem sung by an Army Major - beautiful voice, acappella, and he didn't lip sync.
Just read that the University of Mary Washington is going to limit adjuncts to 29 hours due to the governor's requirement to avoid providing health insurance to part-timers, Judie.
Yes, Shirley. Adjuncts at GDub are limited to two courses per semester - fallout from the Union. I'm surprised, however, about the health coverage explanation as adjuncts have no benefits whatsoever. That's one reason why so many colleges/universities hire so many of us. We work cheap.
Judie Sounds like a wonderful half-time show at the game. So happy you were there.
I see we are getting some more predictions on egg-laying.
Sounds like some nice plans for Super Bowl Sunday shaping up for some of us. I'll be up with James today if the snow doesn't get too much more than it is now
Shirley you were right, I did not have sound at work so I could not comment on what little birdy was singing yesterday... I do hear Red-Bellied Woodpecker now and then this morning
Sun is trying to come out here and there's no wind. Dennis is off on a service call for one of the rental places. I think when he gets back, I'll suggest taking a hike to the local eagle nest to see if we can see any live eagle action. I won't go if Dennis doesn't - I have a terrible sense of direction and worry that I would get lost in the woods. Sad, but true!
Going to Chuck E. Cheese soon for a birthday party! Whoo hoo! NOT! But I love the little darling so I will go for an hour. :) I think they serve beer at Chuck E's place! LOL
Good morning! Playing hooky from church. Slept til 9:30 and have been enjoying my coffee while reading the paper.
It is very promising to see our eagles in the nest so often.
Thinking of my kids and grandkids still at Great Wolf Lodge and water playing again this morning. They offered us a room, too, but we declined. An evening there was enough for us. So happy though that the boys are having fun.
We are heading to Laurel's this afternoon. Jack has some end panels ready for bookcases and Laurel needs his help installing some blinds. She installed some herself this week. Proud of that girl! But these blinds need anchors and she needs her dad to do that.
Have a Happy Super Bowl Sunday!!! Been watching the nest~~Shep (I still want to call him "Spot"!) was housekeeping. Wish we could see a little more of the 12 o'clock region. Love what we have, tho!! Hear chirping!!!
Lolly, I couldn't send her a friend request, but I sent her a message. If you got to Manchester Vet Services, I think she liked the first post or two...found her that way.
Snowing again at the nest...it had stopped.
Our dusting has already melted, it's up to 35° here now.
My prediction, my AMBITIOUS prediction, is that we'll have our first eggbert by midnight tomorrow. After careful observation, review of years past videos, pictures and comments, I am basing this on a very scientific load of nothing. LOL!
My fb is not working properly. Could not message Andy and tried to message her daughter, Jennifer. I would not work! Might try on our computer and not on this laptop.
Just looked up to see a beautiful hawk sitting on my fence. It swooped down into the yard for a moment. I got a quick picture before it flew away, but I was not able to zoom in on it. It was right next to the seeds I had just put out. I guess it thought something might have showed up to eat those seeds.
So, today's bird count at the Assawoman Wildlife Area - seagulls, ducks, Canadian geese, turkey vultures, a great blue heron, a juvenile eagle (flying and then perching in a tree) ... but no partridge in a pear tree and no action in the nest - zip, nothing, nada! We did hear a few eagle calls but no one visited the nest and there was no white head in the nest tending any eggs. Oh well, another day.
Think it's time for a nap so I'm wide awake for the big game. Later!
I went upstairs and looked under Hunter's bed. It is pretty scary there. I pulled out a whole load of laundry and some other things I will not discuss.
I rented a moving for the first time from the RedBox for tonight I will not be watching the superbowl I am not a football fan at all I will record just to see the commericals LOL I can fastforward to see them
Judy, sorry to make you feel that you had been deserted! I was watching but fixing dinner at the same time. But once the game starts, I will be deserting the blog.
Judy, I was talking about the puppy bowl on TV. But I just filled two doggie bowls with food.
Well, the inventory under the bed.
1 pizza box 1 empty Nutella jar. 1 empty container from I Hop some silverware lots of laundry and other yucky things. Flash thought the pile of dirty laundry smelled interesting. I thought it was worth two Tide pods.
Good Evening everyone! I imagine most are watching the big game now that it's about to start.
Just wanted to let you know that I'm still here in PA, helping Mom deal with Dad who came home today, but will likely have to go back to to the emergency room tonight because he is not able to urinate without the catheter. This is never ending! Your prayers are so appreciated! Dad is also NOT an easy patient. He's on painkillers that make his controlling mind cloudy and he's having a real hard time with it.
Hoping our eagles have a couple of eggs for us this week!!!
SED! Miss you all, will try to get on more with updates.

21-6 Ravens at halftime - YES!! Should be 24-6; I think they should have kicked the field goal instead of trying that trick play. Oh well, armchair quarterbacking!
Lori, so sorry that things are not going well for your dad! Prayers for him and for you and your mom!
Welcome LYDIA don't worry we often double post. Glad you visited the nest. It is an awesome place from what everyone says. I like this nest too and I am out in Western Canada.
JUDIE NO NOT ME NO MA'AM I will never cheer for the niners since all of you are for the Ravens and furhter more LYNNE already threatened Eagle Canes if I fell and while I would love for you Easteners to come out to BC the Eagle Canes put the fear of God in my heart...GO Ravens Go. For the next little while the Sandperson had better pay attention to JO and make sure she is resting. I thank you for your explanation for what you think caused JO to have pnemonia.I agree with you.
You are an awesome Grandma SHIRLEY with more patience than most. HUNTER is cute and a boy and sounds he is doing the tennage thing and I hope he goes through it fast!!!
Thanks for all the eagle reports and the video JUDYE and everyone who reported. Bets already on egg time...Before midnight tomorrow and in the next 24 hours...PAULA said she thinks they need more fluff... I will be watching.
LOLLY it sounds like fun the time at the lodge and you and JACK are great sports to join in...I understand about not spending the night.I hope the trip to Devon is good and that a lot gets accomplished.
MISSING JO and PRAYING FOR HER COMFORT and HEALING. PLEASE GOD
LORI good to see you on here and am so sorry things are so tough for your DAD and that he is not comfortable. I hope they find a way to have him go through all those necessary changes that follow the surgery. Some times we make a decision and then have a harder time with the consequences of the decision. I should not say we, I mean me and I...
PRAYING for your DAD LORI and also PRAYING for your DAD DANA.
Good report on the results of the game at half time. I hope they keep building on the lead and not just try to protect it.
Thanks for all your assurance, because I am the queen of RAKS (random acts of keystokes). And I had to figure out how to sign up to use this blog and did not know enough not to use my whole real name or a real picture. My face book profile today is an Raven though if that tells you anything
SANDI the last sentence in the above post was to thank you for the results at half time.
Skiing was good and people were friendly and the tracks were very well set and I had a wonderful time being out there and very pleased that I went. I think I want to own cross country skis again yet will wait till they go on sale for next season.

Thanks for the new thread Steve.
Shep just left, Belle still eating.
YUP HOPING FOR EGGS THIS WEEK!!
Thanks Steve and Janet!
Plenty of action this morning. Belle is enjoying that fish. I am seeing more snowflakes.
Thanks for the call over, Janet. Congrats on your feather!
Thanks Steve for the new thread and Janet for the call over.
Enjoy your feather, Janet.
Good morning again everyone.
Chirps. I think Shep is talking to Belle.
Morning, T-Bird.
THANKS TO STEVE FOR THE NEW THREAD!

Sounds like a real treat, Judie.
Yes, I expect to watch the Puppy Bowl, too.
Sounds great, Judie!
Still working on the menu...crab dip for sure, don't know what else. Larry and I will watch the game at his place.
Belle stil working on the fish..look at the tail on it, pretty good size fish.
Gulp, there went the tail, down the hatch.
Hunter has been invited to a kid's Super Bowl party at a friend's house. I think it is supposed to end at half=time.
She is making short work of that fish.
I am not sure who might be around here. I did buy some ribs and have already been eating them.
I can picture Shep sitting on that branch above the nest chirping at Belle.
Bet Shep is hanging around, waiting for dessert ☺
Just read that the University of Mary Washington is going to limit adjuncts to 29 hours due to the governor's requirement to avoid providing health insurance to part-timers, Judie.
Inderesting development.
Gotta refill my feeders today, the juncos have just about cleaned out 3 feeders.
I don't know if there will be anything left for Shep, Paula. I suppose making eggs causes hunger.
Wonder if Miss Belle is stocking up for the egg-laying ordeal? Would be great to have Super Bowl and egglets on the same night.
Hi Shirley and Paula.
Interesting cries from Shep.
I am thinking the same thing, Judie.
I am hungry for my own breakfast, but no one is going to bring me anything! I might have to take the computer downstairs with me.
(Not that I am craving raw fish for breakfast!)
Oh Shirley, I was not talking about that kind of dessert! ☺
I did read back and saw we already had some HP this morning.
Think that fish is a about gone.
Yeah, Judie, but the new health care stuff requires benefits for anyone working over 30 hours. The same thing is happening at Will's work.
At one time, Germanna was allowing three courses. I was offered that many once, but did not want to do more than two at the time.
Well, there is not much left of that fish. Maybe just bones.
Now she is working on the cup.
And settling in. Oh, this is good.
I really need to take this computer with me to the kitchen. Do now want to take my eyes off of Belle right now.
Belle standing over the egg cup, glancing around.
Nestorations.
Belle picking at nestovers.
She still has something hanging from above her beak, on her face. It's white.
Over the egg cup again.
Came down to the kitchen and see that it is snowing away out there.
Loud call.
Some softer calls now, not sure if from Belle or Shep somewhere else.
Hate to go "out on a limb" but think I will predict egg-laying in the next 24 hours.
Ah, Shirley, that is interesting about the health care. New requirement would make a difference.
Back to Miss Belle.
Shep has arrived, he is now testing out the bowl.
Oh, I hope so, Judie.
Well, they have both left!
Judie, you have an e-mail.
Pretty snowfall here.
Pretty snowfall here in Martinsburg here too, and it looks so pretty at the nest also.
Prayers for Jo! And the many on here and amongst us in need...
(( Sunday Healing Hugs ))
Judie
Sounds like a wonderful half-time show at the game.
So happy you were there.
I see we are getting some more
predictions on egg-laying.
Sounds like some nice plans for Super Bowl Sunday shaping up for some of us. I'll be up with James today if the snow doesn't get too
much more than it is now
Shirley
you were right, I did not have sound at work so I could not
comment on what little birdy was singing yesterday...
I do hear Red-Bellied Woodpecker now and then this morning
Would like to hear a CARDINAL !!
BBQ ribs and slaw! man does that sound good!!
Very nice, the New Sunday Thread....
Eggciting Times for Sure at NCTC this week.
Thanks Steve !!!
You know we are going to load this
thread up, especially WHEN (not If) the eggs start popping out !!
Thank you, Shirley.
Margy, have fun with James the Wise. Just stay warm and safe.
Dana, any others, come on down for ribs and slaw. Oh, and peanut butter cookies, too.
Keep thinking of Jo. Sandperson is consulting the schedule and is revising travel plans so there will be over-night visits as needed.
MT nest so off to the scullery.
Snow is almost stopped...
The Sun ☼ is working its way out
I do believe
Wow, a new thread and 57 comments in 2 hours. Belle and Shep were in the nest when I left for tennis and Belle was chowing down.
MT nest now with some snow flakes falling in Shepherdstown. No snow here but it feels and looks like it could and some flakes are possible today.
Need to read what's been happening - BRB!
I have NO purple things to
wear today....
Guess I could mix red and blue
Okay, on to the day for me...
Thinking of All of Us'ns....
xoxo ☺ ♥
I hear a Downy Woodpecker now.
That's one of Jo's favorites too.
xoxo ttfn
I hope Jo can watch a few things
on a laptop at the hospital!
♥
EAGLE!
Eagle in the nest
Brought fluff
BELLE
Belle
Paula, didn't have to look for the spot, just noticed no notch in the tail feathers.
both
Big thunk as Shep arrives
Yup, Sandi...can see Shep's notches pretty clearly
Heard them landing and had to hop back on.
Beaking.
So that call I am hearing is a downy woodpecker? I will try to remember that.
I think I would recognize a cardinal. We have lots of them in the backyard.
It has been snowing away here for awhile now, but I think the temp is just a bit above freezing.
I just hear crows at the nest.
Glad I finally caught them both in the nest. It's super bowl sunday it could be the day!
OK, I do hear another bird as well.
Going to Chuck E. Cheese soon for a birthday party! Whoo hoo! NOT! But I love the little darling so I will go for an hour. :) I think they serve beer at Chuck E's place! LOL
Hear a blue jay now.
Sandi-I would love to get a house on the beach here and in Florida. I would spend summers here and winter there!
Know what you mean about Chuck E. Cheese, Dana.
Thats a crossover conversation from FB! LOL! That's what I get for going back and forth.
I have done that, too, Dana. Lynn laughed mightily at me when I first started on FB and got confused.
Need to get dressed and go put out birdseed.
Shep was checking for nestovers, he is at the 6, she is at the 10
She's in the bowl, he's still at 6, both facing to the right.
Couple of calls....both watching something fly over
Is that a pine spring at 9?
Shep working on her nestover
Shep is practicing egg sitting?
Good morning! Playing hooky from church. Slept til 9:30 and have been enjoying my coffee while reading the paper.
It is very promising to see our eagles in the nest so often.

Been watching the nest~~Shep (I still want to call him "Spot"!) was housekeeping. Wish we could see a little more of the 12 o'clock region. Love what we have, tho!!
Hear chirping!!!
Paula, you found Andy on fb? I could not find her there.
Oh dear! Is that snow I see falling?
Flakes are showing more at nest.
Lolly, I couldn't send her a friend request, but I sent her a message. If you got to Manchester Vet Services, I think she liked the first post or two...found her that way.
Snowing again at the nest...it had stopped.
Our dusting has already melted, it's up to 35° here now.
Shep wants to tug on the rails at 12, so Belle moved, she is back over the egg cup
She is working on the rails at 5
The white thingy hanging off her face above the beak is gone.
My prediction, my AMBITIOUS prediction, is that we'll have our first eggbert by midnight tomorrow. After careful observation, review of years past videos, pictures and comments, I am basing this on a very scientific load of nothing. LOL!
Belle testing the bowl.
I think they need more flugg!
Belle just moved up to nest bowl!
Okay, Lynne, you made me laugh! You are full of it!!!! lol
Okay, Paula, saw Andy on fb. Another idea I had was to email one of her Texas family and tell them our problem.
I mean, send them a fb message. They may be on fb more often.
Shep poofed! Think there's a stuck car horn!
Shep poofed
My fb is not working properly. Could not message Andy and tried to message her daughter, Jennifer. I would not work! Might try on our computer and not on this laptop.
It's weird that she'd comment on my work page, but not here. I hope she still likes us....
Shep back with a twig. Bet Belle wanted lunch!
Off to the store....bbl
Both poofed. Guess that's a clue for me to get some pregame stuff done! LOL
Later!
Heading over to Larry's...have fun watching the big game....catch ya'll later!
Have fun, Paula.
But you saw a juvie and heard eagle calls, Sandi. That sounds like a successful trip to me.
Audrey, Grace, and I have all had manicures (only one of us is appreciative).
Ribs are cooking ever so slowly, sauce is made, slaw is made, cornbread later. Y'all come!
Snowflakes have moved away leaving a gray sky.
MT nest but pretty color.
Puppy Bowl cute.
Also sent an email to Andy. No response.
Still thinking of Jo.♥
EAGLES!
Didn't see them land, just walked past the computer and there they were!
Oh Shirley, there is also a hawk in our backyard. Sort of brownish yellow gold. Been here for about a week.
BELLE PICKING AT NESTOVERS. SHEP WORKING ON THE RAILS AT 10-11.
BELLE SITTING IN THE EGG CUP. SHEP STILL STANDING ON THE RAILS.
POOF SHEP!
Me thinks the time is drawing near!
BELLE NOW STANDING ON THE RAILS.
AND SHEP RETURNS!
BEAKING.
BELLE MOVING GRASS, SHEP MOVING STICKS.
MORE BEAKING.
POOF SHEP!
ALMOST LOOKS LIKE BELLE IS EATING SOMETHING - HARD TO TELL SINCE SHE'S FACING AWAY FROM THE CAM AND HER HEAD IS OUT OF VIEW HALF THE TIME.
HELLOOOOO home from work and find a new already full thread

Funny Judy, that you're buying a fan in February! =)
Belle is still in the nest but not settled in the egg cup.
BELLE moved to cup started picking at it again
Its 65° now

Snowing at the nest now.
Judy, I was talking about the puppy bowl on TV. But I just filled two doggie bowls with food.
Well, the inventory under the bed.
1 pizza box
1 empty Nutella jar.
1 empty container from I Hop
some silverware
lots of laundry and other yucky things. Flash thought the pile of dirty laundry smelled interesting. I thought it was worth two Tide pods.
I will be spraying some Lysol under there.
And I will be emptying the trash from up there. Sometimes it is good to do these things when the child is not home.

SED! Miss you all, will try to get on more with updates.
Good to hear from you LORI and so sorry about your dad I know that has to be tough on you and your mom
SHIRLEY throw a airfreshner under his bed

WANDA did you ever get your garbage can back LOL
the radar looks real light looks like more snow on the KY side of WVA and VA and some in MD too at the edge of WVA
Good to hear from you, Lori. I am sorry your father is still having problems. Prayers and good wishes for you all.
Touchdown Baltimore!!
for those of you on EAgle Alliance did you see the pictures of the tree and the surronding area for the new nest
It is beautiful Ihope it goes like they want
THIS IS WHAT WAS SAID UNDER ONE OF THE PICTURES If they build a platform and start the nest, then play a recording of them, they will come to investigate, find the nest, & hopefully, move in!!! It's perfect!
So far, Ravem Raisins are lookin' good.
Ugh, Shirley. More patients than I. Hunter would have been digging all that out and doing his own laundry (supervised, of course).
Lori, so sorry your father is still having so much difficulty. Hope all will be resolved soon.
Well, it was there because his mom has been telling him to clean his room. Gotta say that I don't think she checked behind him too well.
Hello, I am new to this blog. Thank you to Shirley for helping me find it :) I enjoy this nest and I had the please of actually visiting it last year during an open house Sunday late last Spring
welcome Lydia! No nest action tonight....and most are glued to the Superbowl so it's a slow night here on the blog!
Hello, I am new to this blog. Thank you to stronghunter for helping me find it :) I enjoy this nest and I had the please of actually visiting it last year during an open house Sunday late last Spring
Sorry for the double post. I am still learning.
Going to pass on the halftime show and get my shower.

Hi Lydia, welcome to the blog!!
oh no problem Lydia....we are here to help! We often double post, make typos, have poor spelling and also make up words. LOL!
