There is a power supply problem that has not been resolved. This is keeping the cam down. Unless we get some sun this week, the cam will not be operational until we have our hard wired power fully installed.
Best Wishes, Shirley, for a good stress test this morning...
DanaMo - wonder if unlocking vehicle and putting key into the ignition would have quieted the car alarm? I have to do that with mine sometimes, not very often thank goodness
Sounds like a good Soup Kitchen evening, Wanda and Gene... perfect rainy night fare.... Hey! I think we should try to get you some UMBRELLA donations....☺
Andrea: Sure hoping and pryaing...that you and Kubby can manage some comfort regimens for Ken while you wait for Sept 28 - loooong time to wait for relief... I realized...Hey! how different it is that you don't have to write about tests and classes anymore ☺
Oh Lori says, possibly up to the low 80's today? Wet and Warm... not sure how to dress for this one, but will have my "babooshka" scarf on to and from the office door ... guess we need an ALT symbol for raindrops !!!!!!!! this is the best I can come up with
Magpie-tried it! Tried everything and then it just stopped on it's own. My neighbor than unhooked the battery for good measure. Guess he didn't want to be disturbed again. Now to get it hooked back up before 1:30 when I have to be at school all day. I'm hoping to take to my neighbor and send them over without me coming home. Should be interesting, and now I start a class tonight. Poosha!
DANAMO, the dogs must have gone crazy with the alarm going off and you going outside in the middle of the night. I'm sure they're very protective of you.
Gosh THELMA, it's so hard to get motivated when it's cloudy and rainy like this. Think I'll get out my "full spectrum light box" and sit in front of it for a spell! :) Don't let this gray weather get you down either. {{BIG, BIG HUG}}
I know, if you did you wouldn't be able to see this, but just wanted to make sure you're okay and to give you blessings for the stress test this morning. :)
Great Shirley. Glad you're okay. So sorry you have to do the water fast, or is it just no caffeine? Just keep thinking of that great cup of Starbucks you're going to have the moment you're done. Or, take a thermos with you.
I can have orange juice. I could have had breakfast before 6:00, and thought about doing that. I was awake at 4:00-ish No caffeine for 12 hours before the test, though. Didn't exactly sleep last night and then dozed off between 4 and 6.
Yes, I will enjoy some coffee later, but I think this thing is supposed to last 2-3 hours.
Hi, Morning Peeps! I'm up and about early today. Kubby got an e-mail reply from our Dr.--she thinks he has tendinitis of the Achilles tendon. Wants him to take 600 mg of Advil 2x/day for 5 days, instead of Excedrin. If not better by then, call or e-mail her. Also, GENTLY stretch the Achilles tendon while in bed. He was doing better when he left for work this morning.
DanaMO, my golly, so sorry about the early car alarm! Ours will automatically stop on its own after 5 minutes. It will also stop if you hit the "unlock" button on the remote control and put the key in the ignition. Hope you get the thing straightened out!
Margy, yes, it is kind of weird to not be posting about classes/exams any more! Sure is a relief! Wish I could audit some of Judie's classes, though. Bet they are fascinating! "Criminal Minds" is one of my favorite TV programs!
Lolly, S-O-O-O-O-O glad you are having a bit of a break from those ridiculous temperatures! It's HOT & HUMID here now, though. Expecting 90 with humidity about the same today, 99 tomorrow. My kitchen is still 85 degrees right now. Only got down to 72 last night, so the house didn't cool down much. Have a strong fan sucking cooler air into the house through the patio screen door. Will close up the house when it's daylight, and hope for the best.
Lynne2, Emma is REALLY fond of ice cubes. Do I need to limit her intake of them? She also has unlimited fresh, filtered tap water available.
Want to try to get a really good picture of the unusual Swallowtail butterfly today. SURE HOPE it will be back! I think it spent the night in one of our huge Ficus trees. It LIKES our Lantana bush!
Well, off to get some coffee. Already ate breakfast at 3:30 a.m., but just need some caffeine. Will BBIALW. Hope everyone has a WONDERFUL day!
Morning all! well, we've had 4 1/2 inches of rain in the last 36 hours, far less that what I expected with this system but more heavy rain and storms are on the way. Patio flooded.
Andy, ice cubes are a great NO CALORIE treat! I actually get some sodium free beef or chicken broth and make cubes for our dogs. Some will argue that because they are hard, tooth wear is a concern but like any hard bone or treat, one a day is unlikely to harm anything. We usually give them to our dogs a couple of times a week!
Shirley, best of luck on the stress test today! Are they doing a regular one, or a nuclear one?

SHIRLEY, did you lose power again?

I am here, Lori. Sleepy. Have to wake up without coffee.
Did have some problems getting my computer to go online this morning. Had to restart the network.
And, Hunter thought he might be sick this morning, but I sent him off anyway.
Thunder rumbling here.

Good morning.
Hoda will be pleased to know today is not a sweater day ): It is rainy and muggy. Hi Hoda!
DanaMo, what an unpleasant adventure. Hope the problem is fixable before 1:30. I also hope your kidlets will be tranquil throughout indoor recess.
Margy, have a quiet day at work.
Wanda, the menu sounds so good. I am surprised at the low numbers as it seemed perfect weather. Glad the clothes closet items were taken.
Good morning, Lori. Two days and counting. Have a good day.
Shirley, glad you have power back on and that Hunter slept through it. Will be thinking of you this morning.
Judy, I think we do need to plan an intervention for both Jo and DanaMo. I can see a road trip over the mountain for that.
Andy, agree with Lynn. Podiatrist?
Hi Thelma.
Off to finish my coffee and newspaper. BBL
