Guess it is a good thing that I am here. Otherwise, we would all be locked out of the car with the only extra key hanging in the laundry room here.

Shirley, what an inconvenience. Suggestion: get a magnetic box just big enough for a car key. Put the box/key under a fender. Did that when I was single. Only needed it once but I sure was happy. Box never fell off.
Ok I a caught up on the blog. Glad to see MARGY had a good viist with her sister. Sorry about the computr. LIESL is better, at least no incidents last night. SHIRLEY comes to the rescue so wonderful you are always there for your fmaily SHIRLEY. LYNNE I finally get it about the GEESE you keep hearing!!! LOL GOOD MORNING TO ALL/ GOOD AFTERNOON TO ALL
DanaMo...I just finished telling my youngest that it's a good day to STAY in jammies! She was saying that they were going to veg infront of the TV, but her hubby would want games while she wants to watch what she recorded this past week. Told her to go to the bedroom to watch!
It is raining here....has been for over an hour. :( So what else isn't new?
Liesl and I are going to the sofa to finish a movie before the race starts.
Good Hoda, I'm glad you finally GOT IT about the HONKING.....I am truly amazed that LYNN actually asked me if I was seeing geese or hearing them on the cam. LYNN of ALL PEOPLE!!!!.....LOL LOL LOL!
I met a woman yesterday that puts in 17 hrs. between two job...one a Wendy's and the other at McDonalds. She is a young woman either!!! WOW Felt badly for her...prayers.
Hoda, I'm thinking this makes you a DALLAS FAN!!!!
thanks Dana! It's a really nice car but they had actually just got it in and didn't have a chance to detail the inside completely. It's not too bad, but it's not up to MY standard! The only things not working are the clock on the dash, and the automatic radio antenna. But the clock isn't a problem and the radio picks up all stations any way!
oh Lynn, I know the deer corn is also used for people like you who want to feed the beauties. I wish I could but with the landlords hunting people who are permitted to hunt here I don't do it. It was just SO disturbing to see it in the HUNTING section!
I have another Monarch Caterpillar haning in a "J" today! Hopefully I get to see this one go limp and change!
I am finally figuring out the new Facebook. I made a Momster List! It's actually pretty nice that you have a way to only post to certain groups if you want to. And I have figured out how to hide game posts...the first day there was not an option to do so, but now there is. YAY! And I really do like the larger picture size, too.
Happy Sunday to Everyone.☺ Very grey day is starting to lighten a little. Not very many critters out, but did see a chickadee go to suet! We have not seen Shorty, the squirrel, since the hurricane. :>( Only one or two others visit occasionally. Oh, Shirley! Poor Kathryn. Hope Big Brother can help and you won't have to drive there! Lynne, I thought you were Steelers fan! Speaking of Honking, that was my Chinese Swan Goose! You named it---I put new comment under his pic on blog! ☺ Prayers for Linda and all under the weather. ^j^ Gotta do some stuff before the car race. BBL
The spray you spray around your door (but if I still had a pet I would NOT USE IT) it is called: ENDURE. I got it a what used to be called "Farm and Fleet" now called "Tractor Supplies". It is used around horses for "Flies". A dead killer for stinkbugs.
Kathryn did go online to make sure there aren't any protests planned for DC today. It seems that on a recent trip they took, she let someone else take care of the plans and they ended up getting into the middle of some big protest march that got a little scary. I don't remember that.
I just went upstairs and I am just crying....there are once again HUNDREDS of stinkbugs all over the place. I can't take 3 steps without seeing them even on the floor. And they are just now starting to get on the downstairs windows which they have not been so far. I have so much to do and I can't get other things done because I can't just NOT kill them and let them hang out in my house.
Margy so glad you had a nice visit with Dorset and Norman. Enjoy your nap time today.
Jo, anyone going with you to the pumpkin patch?
Shirley, sure hope Russ can help Kathryn. Key-less entry is good. Spare key hidden is also good. Only thing this weekend were World Bank/IMF meetings which usually don't draw huge crowds anymore.
Lynn, thanks for posting the Landau video. Wonderful voice.
I had a hidden key on my car once, too. I had a Volvo that did not automatically unlock when you opened the door, so I got locked out in some awful situations.
well, I have to disappear for a while, duty calls....wish me luck! At least for every one I kill that will be one less going out next spring to destroy the farmers crops!
Final straw at the Columbus airport was when I got a ride back later in the day and paid the parking fees and the guy suggested that I should not have parked in short term.
He did not know about the cab fare I paid to get home nor the fact that I had to wait for my neighbor who worked night shift to wake up so he could give me a ride back to the airport.
Since I had no money, I did not ask the cabbie if he would take a check until I got home.
It is good to have your own set of keys and MONEY when you go out.
Getting ready to go to my yoga class. I usually go to the ten o'clock class. I chose to try the noon class today. I will do my groceries afterwards and then come back for an hour phone call with a friend in Powell River...we have been friends for over thirty years when we both lived in Alberta.
I'm just getting behinder and behinder. Having a low ebb kind of day, but those are to be expected, I guess.
LYNN, hope Liesl is much improved today !
LYNNE, sorry to hear the SB's are ruining your day !
LORI, yes, Julie's birthay dinner was good--we each chose different things--I went for iron rich red meat and had the meatloaf plate which includes real mashed taters, green beans n' carrots al dente. It was enough for three meals for me. Ha ! A month ago I'd have wolfed it all down in one sitting.
SHIRLEY, sorry to hear of Kathryn's eye and lock woes. She's having a run of bad luck. So glad Hunter is getting acquainted with the other guys in the neighborhood. An advantage of school starting !
DANAMO, kudoes to Adam ! Good job !
LINDA, saw a reference to your not feeling well, but can't find you post about it. Hope that's history now !
Round one completed. I used another tip the guy on that video suggested...should have done this sooner. Took water bottle, cap on, cut the bottom off so that one side is taller for easier scooping. Filled about a third with soapy water. Scoops them up like a charm and much faster than trying to pluck them with tissue individually. I didn't count, but suffice to say that when I dumped them into the toilet, there were so many that they all didn't flush the first time. But, I'm gaining on them!
Can imagine what those folks like elderly or disabled do if they live in a place like this and can't get them. So sad.
Kathryn's eye--I think it is better, but still hurting. I gave her the list of medications Lynn suggested. She is a grown woman. I am sure she will find something if she decides she needs it. We appreciate the suggestions, Lynn.
Lynne---you need to get some bombs and you and the dogs and cats go someplace for a few hours while they do their thing. At least that will kill the ones that are in there now, I'm sure. This is just the most absurd, bizarre invasion. I think the health department would condemn your house if they saw the horrendous infestation.
Okay, I get the geese comment now! DUH! Never gave a thought to the correlation.....was strictly thinking of car horns!!!
Kay, sounds like a great meal....with leftovers!!! Are you feeling stronger?? Everything going okay with the port?? Glad you are here---no need for you to even try to read back!! No earth-shattering occurences here.
Shirley.....question: why was the German Shepherd tied to the bumper at a 7-ll????????? You surely could write a book!!! I can just picture your airport travail---poor little mama-to-be. :(
I used to do the key-in-magnetic-box thing, too, before OnStar happened!
LOL----did a house key the same way under the bbq grill...last time I replaced it, Bill forgot to get the key box....haven't been able to find another box since!
Well Lynn, at least they aren't ROACHES! I really do think we are gaining on them. Not so many OUTSIDE on the house as there has been. There surely cannot be an infinite number of them!
the dogs and I were out for a walk and you'll never guess what Daisy found (and thankfully did NOT pick up). The foot and bottom part of a Black Vulture leg. They were sniffing like crazy in that area the other day, and it's right under a large tree branch. There was a lot of large bird poopie on the ground under it, but I didn't see the leg then.
I think we may actually be lucky in a way Lynn....last year I saw a lot of folks on the news with worse invasions than we have. Even one who had them in her heating unit clogging up all of the pipes!
I would be worrying about your AC and stuff, Lynne!!! Read where some woman claimed her AC was blowing them into the house. Maybe mix up a dishwashing liquid solution and use a hose bottle and spray the outside of the house every day???
Wood roaches are a fact of life when you live in the woods-----but I'm talking like maybe a dozen inside throughout a season! I can deal with them better than the 8-leggeds!
we have window units and Steve took them out this past week. Last year I did have an unfortunate experience of turning one on and had some SBs fly out, but only a couple. The rest just hunker down and hang on! But the SBs get right in them, and then into the house. So, they are out, and Steve said they were just falling out of each one as he moved them. GROOOOSSSSSS! We caulked every where we could last year too. But it's an old house and the new windows I guess just don't match up exactly flush and those suckers can really squeeze through tiny slits! Oh, we also put cheese clothe under the vent in the bathroom because they were getting in from the outside that way too.
I'm not even sure that would work. We put them in soapy water and eventually they will drown. But hosing them wouldn't likely kill them, even with soap. Power washer would probably do some damage to them though!
Good afternoon everyone. Had a great time with Andrew and Kelsey. Went to a WVU party for a little while last night. We have some Bedford peeps on their way for dinner and then a meeting. Hope all is well with everyone.
Speak of the devil, Lynne---just forwarded an email to you with a "recipe" for SB's. I just torched 4 outside sunroom door. Figure they can't last long with singed legs and antennae!
Hi, Shar! Glad you had a good time with your boy!!!!! Too bad about your game.
Lynne, how do you water your gardens and wash your cars??? My house didn't have spigots, either, when I bought it, but very quickly added them! Cold AND hot!
I am frying chicken wings!!! Had a hankering....saw a new recipe on the Biscuik box this morning....bisquik, parmesian cheese, garlic salt, paprika, pepper----dip in egg, coat with dry ingredients. Smelling good!!
I fill watering cans. We used to have unlimited access to the garage where there is a utility tub right by the patio door. We could hook the hose up there, water, wash cars, bathe dogs. But for whatever reason, the landlord has been keeping it locked and we don't have a key. When the hurricane was on the horizon, along with potential power outages, I emailed him to ask if he could unlock it so I could fill up buckets. The email was ignored. We were going to leave the big 5 gallon ones on the sunporch and use them to fill smaller buckets as needed. Much easier for me and my back to do so. Our bathroom is very small, and upstairs, and we only had room for one 5 gallon in there unless we put more in the tub, but while the electric was on, we didn't want to have to keep moving buckets out of the tub. SO when I actually saw him, I asked again. He said he would, but he also said "I don't understand why you can't just fill them from your tub". As I tried to explain, he just looked at me like I was stupid. He made me feel like I was asking for the moon, and I was very hurt. I don't bother asking anymore.
Jim, glad you stop in to let us know you are alive, and we hope well!!! Wissh you'd stick and stay awhile to chat!!!! Are you watching football today or Nascar, or out and about doing something fun?
Lynn, I was trying to figure out why I tied the German shepherd to the front bumper, too. It was about 40 years ago and I do not remember why. I just remember that she was barking and carrying on and that no one would get near her.
Need to go help Will figure out his health insurance information--
Well LYNNE Did the warrior pose in yoga today and thought of you facing the SB!!! GO LYNNE GO.
Switzerland is good LYNNE I loved being in Geneva, Zurich and Zermat. I much enjoyed hiking there. I gought a wonderful watch from Geneva. I love their chocolates too...and it is so clean every thing is clean and orderly.SO while you all figure out what will happen tomorrow night I will be in Switzerland!!!I can only guess that the poor chap who broke his hand is a player from the Cowboys...??? I feel sorry for his string of bad luck it seems from what I read.
Hoda, Michael Vick, the one who broke his hand...he plays for Philadelphia. He ran a dog fighting ring, was arrested and convicted and did almost 2 years in a minimum security prison. He used to play for the Atlanta Falcons, but they dumped him after that.
Hoda, the torture of the dogs in his kennel in Virginia (called Good News Kennel, of all things) that Vick allowed---and probably participated in---was barbaric and gives cruel a whole new meaning. He is scum of the earth.
I finally got caught up with the comments now to go watch the news
LYNN Good to hear Liesl is doing better
KAY saw you checked in -- have you tried ENSURE my parents would drink it when they were down and out gives you the calories you need if you don't feel like eating
Just may head on over to see what the sunset looks like tonight Wow did some areas get lots of rain today 2" per hour I only got a half a inch but the store probably had 2 I want to buy a rain gauge for there LOL Looks cloudy over head but not at the beach so I shall return Will watch 10 oclock news tonght Sound like our Bucs are wining and the Rays also
Wow!! JudyE I would say that is expensive eagle custome.
Shirley I once used one of those key things you put under your car that has the magnet. Well when I locked keys in car. I felt so happy I had that key. Got down on the ground and NO KEY MAGNET IT MUST HAVE FELL OFF SOMEWHERE. So of course I don't use that anymore - the magnet one.
I have returned and am filled on the Meat loaf and Mac/Cheese from Cracker Barrel. I was also able to find my 30 small fillable Christmas Stocking Ornaments for our gift giving. I am finished my Christmas Shopping
I had one of those key things fall off the car as well, DanaWV.
Oh, by the way, I am still at home. Kathryn called a locksmith and got into her car. The insurance company will pay the cost. She went round and round with what they wanted to charge--$300 was quoted--she said no. They charged $99, which, as far as I know is covered.
Kathryn and Hunter have gone out to dinner with Rus.
Don't forget the season premiere of The Good Wife is tonight at 9 (EDT). BUT.....football is running OVER!!!! So if taping, extend your time parameter!!
I have Robins outside! But I think the hummers may be gone...only saw one this morning very early, and I've been watching throughout the day and have seen no more.
Shirley, did you have Endless Shrimp for your Red Lobster meal? Christie and I want to take Carolyn out for that for her birthday but we are having a rough time getting their schedules to jive. :(
Way to go, Jo!!!! And you've got 3 months to go!!!!! Congrats.
LYNN the chap sounds very sick...cruelty to animals, oh I do not want to hear more about him...
I am glad KATHRYN got the car lock fixed by hiring a lock smith...she is on her toes that one SHIRLEY.Yet I am so very touched that you were willing to make the drive...
KAY good to read your post on the blog and am very glad you are eating.
No more reports of LIESL not feeling well so this is cheerful news.
I think per chance we might get rain. It is cooler and overcast. I might have to close the windows tonight. It feels like autumn.
It is a very simple loving task Hoda. We give $ for the present and there are about 30 family members. I do go into the toy store for the littlest ones. That is my favorite part of Christmas. Daughters come with me and are helpful.
In times of old - I was the most giving shopper of all - I could never stop so I always forced myself to wait until 2 weeks before or else I would just keep on buying and buying! I love to give!
Hedgie-Lynn/e those photos of America are really neat!! ty for posting ( :
I just love to hear Landau sing. Of course with all the noise there is was sort of hard. You good till he had his heart into it though ( : thanks for posting!!!
Shirley I hope Rus and Kathryn figure out how to get into her car also.
Lynne2 HOW IS THE DEVIL ARE THESE STINKBUGS GETTING INTO YOUR HOUSE?????????? Lynne2 that stuff I told you about. Will stay on the house through even the rain. Horses sweat and it still keeps the flies away.
I did still see hummers at the beach, but they are gone from here that I can tell. Got to see a great blue heron today, Nick got really close to him before he took off, I was really surprised. Nick was minnow hunting and the heron was ignoring him.
Also got to see a kingfisher. Not sure how my pics turned out, will have to check them.
I didn't see any osprey or eagles, but Sue Ellen saw osprey yesterday.
Sue Ellen ended up not going to OC with me ...so I did the Sunfest, which isn't real big, then shopped the boardwalk. Went over to Sue Ellen's for dinner and drinks afterwards.
Bad news is...the roof leak is back. Gonna have to fix it again. Only thing it damaged was the new tiles.
Oh Paula, bummer about the roof! Love hearing about your beach sightings! Still had 3 hummers here today.
So nice to see KAY check in. Sure miss her.
Lynn, haven't seen the baby black vulture for a few weeks. I really miss him a lot! I'd be elated if he check in and hang out in a tree for a while...just to see him.
I have two spiders eating stink bugs here. Kate usually HATES spiders and bugs, but said not to disturb the two spiders that were eating the SB's!
Welcome Home PAULA. Soorry about the roof. yes a million dollars were paid up for the releases of the two hikers Fattal, and Bauer. They are also back on US soil today and gave an interview in which they said they were hostages for two years. How to get their lives back in order is the thing now. I wish them well.
I thought the obvious thing here is that Amadinajad (sp) was speaking at the U-N the day after the hikers were freed...probably did it to try to look good. He's a crazy ___.
PAULA they were already tried and convicted and were given eight year sentences!!! It is all a farce and according to the Middle Eastern Papers the Prince of Oman paid the million. They were political pawns in the rift between the US governemnt and the Iranian Governement.
I agree with LORI Ahmadinejad is not very balanced nor does he make much sense in the best of times...His speech to the UN was inflamatory and made no sense.Almost all the western delegates left as he had a tirade of accusations. The hall was almost empty...
Pretty Pretty sunset I am going to FB and download the videos and pic will also on blog but as we know blog is slow On the way over if looked so cloudy and overcast from rain today and more to come but I was already half way so I could see some blue and I am so glad I went I did several panorama pictures this is my second attempt at it so off I go I
It WAS hard to hear Landau with the crowd noise! I thought it a little disrespectful, but it was what it was. He "done good."
Liesl is still having occassional squirts....we will be going to the vet in the AM. She decided she doesn't want to eat anymore rice, too. And she has never been a big drinker.....I can't seem to get her to drink much......even the ice cubes aren't appealing to her much.
PAULA I do not see the million dollars as bail for Bauer and Fattal. I think of it as ransom money, a safe facing measure in Iran. The Prince of Oman got more than his money's worth in terms of publicity on their release and the politics of it all stinks!!!I do not know how strong I would be after two years wrongful imprisonment...I wish them all well.
Kay...Kay - are you around? I've traded in ScareSlug and the happy yellow flowers for this New England Aster... a get well posy for you... I plopped two feet into a water filled ditch to get this photo up in Berkeley Springs ☺
Good Evening Eagle Pals.... I have a dragon paddle boatload of posts to backtrack through....might take awhile...so Hope to see you after a bit on that. In the meantime...Prayers for wellness for my friends and their pets not feeling so well ! xoxo ♥
sorry about the leak Paula... bummer my bathroom ceiling still has a leak from upstairs..called landlord yesterday morning....told him I had overnight guests coming, and it looked pretty serious. Am very disappointed, no one showed up. Their loss, ultimately, i.e., the person that actually OWNS the building.
Sorry about Carolyn, Lynn, hope the medicine works immediately and see post about Linda not feeling well, still need to check old thread!
Lynne! Congrats on the new buggy...hope it is a Dream Car, and not a Nightmare car like the last one ! What color ???
great to read that Sharon had her visit with Andrew and Kelsey ♥
Oh! I took my sister and nephew to Cracker Barrel last night...neither one had ever been to one ! Guess they don't have them in Massachusetts or California They were impressed !
Lynne I am sorry about the stink bug plague at your place....sounds horrible. And, also about the cruel and unusual treatment from your landlord about locking that utility building... this man needs a visit from a large group of Momsters wielding Eagle Canes... !!
Good to read your posts MARGY and I like your choice of avatar for KAY. Sorry about the leak...
DANA I hope you are enjoying watching the races. Those people paddling in a Dragon Boat are putting out quite a bit of effort.Thank you for thinking of me.
Well, good old Tony Stewart won the car race. I didn't pay attention to much of the football games. Saving up for tomorrow!!!! HONK! (that was my goose)
Daughter called--they were driving up to Austin to stay in apt. her co. arranged. Had it already set up for Merry, the kitty. It's closer to work, airport, and kennel. She leaves for Vienna in AM for a week & Jim goes back to Denver on TU. Getting more pics ready to put in Nook, but need some coffee! BBL
Paula, sorry about the leak coming back. Hope it won't be to difficult to repair.
Lynn, good to take Liesl to the doctor. I feel some concern.
Happy Kathryn was able to get the car unlocked and for a lesser cost. Highway robbery, of course.
Margy, glad you had a good afternoon. Sorry about the leak at your roost and hope the landlord will finally take care of it.
Well, Jo has finished her Christmas shopping. If we still had shopping to do I would be jealous. Now just bake cookies, put into holiday tins, and I'm done.
Lynne, really cannot imagine so many SBs. I wish I could make them all disappear. So sorry.
Lynn, sorry Carolyn has an ear infection. Well, waiting for the birthday dinner will be worth it.
Judy, hope the sunset was especially lovely tonight.
Lori, pleasant sleeping. Will be listening for you in the morning.
The get-together today was held at the home of the director of the police program. He is French Canadian, from Ontario I think. I told him about you and the dragon boating and yoga and how you are trying so hard to understand American football. He really enjoyed hearing about you. Um, we also had the Baltimore Ravens game on. Other than the Redskins, go Ravens.
Hi Judie one of my brother-in-laws nephews is a deputy sheriff in Fairfax County.... thanked him for being there to watch out for my family and friends there ! I'll email you his name
Lynne: I see GOLD car and it sounds like a Sweeeet Deal.... Question : Blood disease in a dog...what would this be? dear friend at vet's now with this with her boxer....
Well, just as I was talking with Margy, the sandperson came tromping down the hall honking his very loud horn. Mumbling something about less than 24 hours.
So, it is time for me to turn on the night light for anyone who needs to arise in the darkness or for those coming in later from the West coast. Restful sleep for all (if you can sleep through the honking noise).
My friend's dog Harley: blood disease "Need platement treatments every other week, and steroids and other drugs always, but could bleed out anytime, no platelets"
Friend has had this Boxer for many years....
Please, help me pray for Harley and his "Mom" - she is very upset......distraught actually...Thank you !!
Back from my TV shows - Are you all pleased with the opener of the Good Wife? I'll be back for the whole season, I just wish this relationship could be out in the open!
Time for me to get dressed for bed Jenny and I are going to do something tomorrow together - We haven't decided yet.

Oh, good grief. Kathryn and Hunter went to DC to go to the museums. I decided to stay home. Just got a call. They have locked themselves out of the car at the Springfield Metro. Guess who will be taking the extra key to Springfield? But not until they are ready to come back home.
Guess it is a good thing that I am here. Otherwise, we would all be locked out of the car with the only extra key hanging in the laundry room here.

Good afternoon everyone.
Hi, Thelma!!
Shirley-Oh what a bummer. I am so glad that I have Onstar! I've never had to use it for being locked out, but I have used it for a flat tire (in my younger years and my old cars I did it myself, now it's not quite so easy)
Thanks Steve for the new thread.
Nice to have Hoda do the call over.
Need to check out some comments.
Happy Sunday to Hoda, Shirley, Thelma and anyone lurking...
Hi to the "other" Dana :)
Good Afternoon - Thanks Steve for the new fresh thread.
Shirley - You now know your true purpose for your day!
Hi Thelma! Good to be here when you popped in!
Hoda thanks for the call over.
Going to put my feet up after just eating some lunch! BBILW
Whoops! meant to ask, Shirley is
Kathryn's eye pretty good today?
Went to Mass last night so now it's 12:21 and I'm in my jammies. Shameful!
hey Jo! Good afternoon.
I think Kathryn needs to put a extra key on a long necklace and wear it around her neck Shirley lol
Oh, Shirley, what a pain!!!! Maybe Suzi should have an extra key!!! Much closer!
Another reason I love OnStar!!!
I just wonder how they will know from DNR if Hope has been "murdered?" When (IF????) a hunter checks in a cub, will they take a sample of some kind for DNA testing? HOW will they ever know anything for sure?

Hi Thelma.
Well, Kathryn is going to enlist the assistance of her big brother and see if they can figure out a way to get into her car.
And then Kathryn is going to find out how to enable the keyless entry. Good idea.
LOL
GOOD MORNING TO ALL/ GOOD AFTERNOON TO ALL
DanaMo - I love the habit of going to Mass on Sat evening - Main reason is that Sunday is My day.
Hope all is well with you today.. ♥
Oh, here's the YouTube of Landau at the game last night that ABC/ESPN did NOT broadcast.
National Anthem at WVU game
hee hee Hedgie-Lynn/e is not going to be on the road when Jessica is out driving lol
Good Hoda, I'm glad you finally GOT IT about the HONKING.....I am truly amazed that LYNN actually asked me if I was seeing geese or hearing them on the cam. LYNN of ALL PEOPLE!!!!.....LOL LOL LOL!
Oh Lynne2 a 1998 Nissan Maxima and even trade. Well I pray it runs well for you and Steve for years to come!!!!!!
Linda sorry to read in the comments. That you are not feeling well. Prayers are sent up that you start feeling much much better.
Wow Hoda just read and listened to the video "Runner Carries Injured Foe and Continues with the race after he return him to his coaches.
Hoda that is really a GREAT POST because you always hear the BAD stuff and not the GOOD about young kids. thank you
oh Lynn, I know the deer corn is also used for people like you who want to feed the beauties. I wish I could but with the landlords hunting people who are permitted to hunt here I don't do it. It was just SO disturbing to see it in the HUNTING section!
I have another Monarch Caterpillar haning in a "J" today! Hopefully I get to see this one go limp and change!
I think that bug sapper would cause a lot of "STINK"!!
Will just showed up to do his laundry, so he and I are watching The Parent Trap. I have never seen the whole movie.
I am truly hoping that Kathryn and Rus can figure out how to get into the car. They ARE pretty smart.
LYNNE 2:::
The Sound of Silence...
Your last comment to me!!!LOL
I am finally figuring out the new Facebook. I made a Momster List! It's actually pretty nice that you have a way to only post to certain groups if you want to. And I have figured out how to hide game posts...the first day there was not an option to do so, but now there is. YAY! And I really do like the larger picture size, too.
Happy Sunday to Everyone.☺
Very grey day is starting to lighten a little.
Not very many critters out, but did see a chickadee go to suet! We have not seen Shorty, the squirrel, since the hurricane. :>(
Only one or two others visit occasionally.
Oh, Shirley! Poor Kathryn. Hope Big Brother can help and you won't have to drive there!
Lynne, I thought you were Steelers fan! Speaking of Honking, that was my Chinese Swan Goose! You named it---I put new comment under his pic on blog! ☺
Prayers for Linda and all under the weather. ^j^
Gotta do some stuff before the car race. BBL
Newer one or original Shirley?
Hoda, I'll just call you Switzerland from now on!
Loretta, STEELERS first! Dallas only if not interfering with Steelers progress!
Just read back to the key situation Shirley....oh geez!
The spray you spray around your door (but if I still had a pet I would NOT USE IT) it is called: ENDURE. I got it a what used to be called "Farm and Fleet" now called "Tractor Supplies". It is used around horses for "Flies".
A dead killer for stinkbugs.
I'll bet Kathryn will be taking Hunter to the Museum of Natural History and then to the ROCKS!!
I'll have to see if I can find that Dana....and be careful where I put it.
Sorry Hedgie-Lynn/e for the loss of the GM retirees.
Thanks JudyE for the 2nd new "another trap to make"...Lynne2 maybe that one will work for you.
The new one with Lindsay Lohan. And, yes, exactly, the Museum of Natural History and rocks.
Lolly congrats that Jacob's team won their baseball game. ( : Plus Joseph team won their soccer game ( : Both boys !!!
Hoda prayers for your sister Samia's husband. I had him on the prayer list.
*********************
GOOD MORNING,
EVERYONE.
*********************
C(°Ù¿°)D Jim
Kathryn did go online to make sure there aren't any protests planned for DC today. It seems that on a recent trip they took, she let someone else take care of the plans and they ended up getting into the middle of some big protest march that got a little scary. I don't remember that.
Hi, Jim.
Mema Jo All those shows were GREAT!!! Had to do some recording to get to watch them all.
Heading out
bbl
I just went upstairs and I am just crying....there are once again HUNDREDS of stinkbugs all over the place. I can't take 3 steps without seeing them even on the floor. And they are just now starting to get on the downstairs windows which they have not been so far. I have so much to do and I can't get other things done because I can't just NOT kill them and let them hang out in my house.
Hi Jim! Hope all is well!
Steve is working today since he couldn't yesterday so I'm on my own....
Oh my gosh, Lynne!
Before I leave...
BBL
I had a hidden key on my car once, too. I had a Volvo that did not automatically unlock when you opened the door, so I got locked out in some awful situations.
well, I have to disappear for a while, duty calls....wish me luck! At least for every one I kill that will be one less going out next spring to destroy the farmers crops!
Got locked out in the rain with the car running.
Got locked out with a German shepherd in the car that kept pushing down the lock every time I pulled it up with the coathanger.
Got locked out with a German shepherd tied to the front bumper that kept everyone else from coming to help me.
And, once my husband flew to California with the keys and left me pregnant at the Columbus airport parked in short term.
Oh, yes, I could write a book.
So, Lynne, your house is a giant stinkbug trap.
Cool Shirley.....I just KNEW that's where they were going! Next time we are up at Soldier's Delight I will grab some serpentinite rocks for him!
I've not seen the newer PT movie. I liked the old one...love Brian Keith and Maureen O'Hara! (I pretend I look like her!)
ROFLMAOA off Shirley!!! You SHOULD write a book!
Hmmm, now that you mention it, it IS a giant SB trap! UGH....
BBL
Yes, the two German shepherd incidents were separate, but they were both at the same 7-11.
It is good to have your own set of keys and MONEY when you go out.
home for lunch YEAH we have a NEW THREAD THANKS STEVE FOR THE NEW THREAD YOU ARE THE BOMB
Getting ready to go to my yoga class. I usually go to the ten o'clock class. I chose to try the noon class today. I will do my groceries afterwards and then come back for an hour phone call with a friend in Powell River...we have been friends for over thirty years when we both lived in Alberta.
Had to return.
I cannot imagine what might have happened on the roads today. Persistent sounds of honking, and honking, and more honking. Crazy, huh?
Check out this eagle costume A little expensive
Eagle costume
I'm going to have to sic BUFORD on these geese... they are almost as annoying as the SBs!! LOL! You know I love you all!
So sad.
JudyE, love the eagle costume, not the cost though! WOW!
Kathryn's eye--I think it is better, but still hurting. I gave her the list of medications Lynn suggested. She is a grown woman. I am sure she will find something if she decides she needs it. We appreciate the suggestions, Lynn.
Geese honking?
Cars honking?
Redskins fans honking?
Maybe all of the above.
But Redskins fans are not to be confused for silly geese. There are no silly geese here.
Remember that we all love birds here.
Will and I will be going out to lunch in awhile. I am very hungry. We have not been to the grocery store for awhile.
oh Kay, you are making me hungry with that dinner! I love meatloaf!
How are you feeling?
Hey, Kay, do you remember Sergeant Bob Douglas the traffic helicopter guy when you lived in Columbus before? On WBNS, I believe.
Anyone who is a Redskins fan IS a silly goose, and dearly loved by me!
Well....I have certainly been hearing silly geese honking!!
Just a quick hi! Home from church, went to Kohls and did some quick shopping for Jacob and Joseph.
Now need to go to the herb garden to snip some Thyme for "orders" this evening. Heading for Dallas soon.
Silly silly geese!!!
Caught up with you all through 2:10.
I hope Kat's eye IS better!
Cute costume, JudyE----ridiculous price!
Lynne, I can never get an SB to flush unless I have TP on top of it---they FLOAT!
Oh, no---poor BV.
Hey, Lori hasn't mentioned hers since she got back from vacay......wonder what's happening there?
we have window units and Steve took them out this past week. Oh, we also put cheese clothe under the vent in the bathroom because they were getting in from the outside that way too.
and there is no outside hose spigot on this house. Wish there was!
When we cleaned the chimney last fall, there were LOTS of them in the clean-out pit!!!!
WooHoo----Michael Vick broke his hand!!!! Week 2=concussion and bitten tongue; Week 3=broken hand....maybe he's getting some of that good karma!!
I meant, we didn't want to have to move buckets out of the tub so we could shower...
Wow I had my feet up for the count of 82 comments...... I had best start to
read upwards.......
Jim, glad you stop in to let us know you are alive, and we hope well!!! Wissh you'd stick and stay awhile to chat!!!!
Are you watching football today or Nascar, or out and about doing something fun?
We're getting a little sun which brought out some critters.
A MONARCH came to butterfly bush!!!
Game Score:
Spidey 1
SB -1
DANG DANG DANG.....so tied up with stinkbugs and chores that I forgot to check the caterpillar and I JUST missed the change..UGH!!!!
SB are the topic of conversation..
I have them but Lynne you have the record.
Stepping out for awhile BBL
Wings were good, but Buffalo Wild Wings are better---and not as much work!
Hi--back from Red Lobster. Not hungry anymore.
Lynn, I was trying to figure out why I tied the German shepherd to the front bumper, too. It was about 40 years ago and I do not remember why. I just remember that she was barking and carrying on and that no one would get near her.
Need to go help Will figure out his health insurance information--
Ravens are beating up the Rams!
Okay, Shirley! 40 yrs. is a long time!
Forgot to say that Carolyn could use a few Momster prayers. She ended up in the ER today with a bad ear infection after a very painful night.
I did NOT gought a watch from Geneva I Bought a wath from there!!! LOL
Hoda, Michael Vick, the one who broke his hand...he plays for Philadelphia. He ran a dog fighting ring, was arrested and convicted and did almost 2 years in a minimum security prison. He used to play for the Atlanta Falcons, but they dumped him after that.
aw Poor Carolyn, hope she feels better very soon. It must have been TERRIBLE.
TRY aGAIN!!! I bought a watch from Geneva...So Funny how my typos show up...
Thanks LYNNE about the explanation on the Michael Vick chap. Never heard of him...does not sound good...
Oh dear..ear infections are not good. Prayers go to Carolyn...
Hoda, the torture of the dogs in his kennel in Virginia (called Good News Kennel, of all things) that Vick allowed---and probably participated in---was barbaric and gives cruel a whole new meaning. He is scum of the earth.
I, among MANY, will never forgive the National Football League for re-instating his eligibility to play.
Home again home again
Got to check out some comments.
I finally got caught up with the comments now to go watch the news
LYNN Good to hear Liesl is doing better
KAY saw you checked in -- have you tried ENSURE my parents would drink it when they were down and out gives you the calories you need if you don't feel like eating
LYNN2 so sorry about your SB situation
I wonder what did the vulture in?
Just may head on over to see what the sunset looks like tonight Wow did some areas get lots of rain today 2" per hour I only got a half a inch but the store probably had 2 I want to buy a rain gauge for there LOL Looks cloudy over head but not at the beach so I shall return Will watch 10 oclock news tonght Sound like our Bucs are wining and the Rays also
Wow!! JudyE I would say that is
expensive eagle custome.
I have returned and am filled on the Meat loaf and Mac/Cheese from Cracker
Barrel. I was also able to find my 30
small fillable Christmas Stocking Ornaments for our gift giving.
I am finished my Christmas Shopping
I sent out the email of the boat rescues during 9-11 the other day.To all the Eaglet Momster and dadsters.
Congrats.
$300 is ridiculous! Here, the cops would come do it for free if they aren't busy! Unbelievable!
JO GOT HER CHRISTMAS SHOPPING DONE!!! Good Lord you are on the ball...well done.
Well, I am scheduling my TV for this
evening...
Foyle's War - part 2 and finale
Murder Mystery
Good Wife - can't wait to get this one
started
Taping: Masterpiece Theater
Inspector Lewis & Sgt Hathaway
It is a very simple loving task Hoda.
We give $ for the present and there are
about 30 family members.
Evening, all!
Home early from the beach, weather was lousy today...cloudy, no breeze and buggy. Was much prettier on this side of the bay!
Hedgie-Lynn/e those photos of America are really neat!! ty for posting ( :
I just love to hear Landau sing. Of
course with all the noise there is
was sort of hard. You good till he
had his heart into it though ( :
thanks for posting!!!
Shirley I hope Rus and Kathryn figure out how to get into her car also.
Lynne2 HOW IS THE DEVIL ARE THESE STINKBUGS GETTING INTO YOUR HOUSE?????????? Lynne2 that
stuff I told you about. Will stay on the house through even the rain. Horses sweat and it still
keeps the flies away.
Paula glad you and Nick are safely back from the beach. Sorry about the leak again. I bet Nick had a blast jumping towards those minnows. LOL
I did see the American Hikers held in Iran for over 2 years are now free. Did they have to post the $500,000 bail as well?
My Mother told me a joke today that I want to share with you all......Why did the skelton NOT go to the party?
Any GUESSES??????
Oh Paula, bummer about the roof! Love hearing about your beach sightings!
Still had 3 hummers here today.
So nice to see KAY check in. Sure miss her.
Lynn, haven't seen the baby black vulture for a few weeks. I really miss him a lot! I'd be elated if he check in and hang out in a tree for a while...just to see him.
I have two spiders eating stink bugs here. Kate usually HATES spiders and bugs, but said not to disturb the two spiders that were eating the SB's!
The hikers themselves would not have to post the bail. The government would get a donation from someone to do that and they will not tell.
Why, DanaWV?
Lori, I know someone else paid it on their behalf...and it was that amount. Ridiculous, since they won't be returning for trial...
Dana, I think Nick is now obsessed with minnows!!!
Lori, glad the vulturette is flying free now ☺
Welcome Home PAULA.
Ok I see no one is guessing, so I will just tell you.
not a link
Because he had no body to go with.
I agree with LORI Ahmadinejad is not very balanced nor does he make much sense in the best of times...His speech to the UN was inflamatory and made no sense.Almost all the western delegates left as he had a tirade of accusations. The hall was almost empty...
Pretty Pretty sunset I am going to FB and download the videos and pic will also on blog but as we know blog is slow On the way over if looked so cloudy and overcast from rain today and more to come but I was already half way so I could see some blue and I am so glad I went I did several panorama pictures this is my second attempt at it so off I go I
FUNNY DANA!!! LORI did ask why...in an earlier posting after you asked the quetion.
Trying to get caught up.
I see Lynne found another car....wonderful!
Shirley, I love the keyless entry on cars...I would just toss the keys in the console and lock the car up...wish mine had it now.
Hoda, don't go to the Dallas side! LOL
Lynne, I have always used the lists on FB, since I have one game that I play...I like them.
I am so sorry Lynne about the stinkbugs you have to deal with.
Sharon, so glad you had a weekend with Andrew and Kelsey
The Good Wife will start at 9:15.
Paula, glad you packed it in and came on home.
Funny DanaWV! I did ask WHY! ♥
Big Hug...
Getting ready for bed now...1:15 will be here quickly. Love ALL OF YOU!
Prayers and blessings for renewed health, a peaceful heart and joyful spirit.
Oh Hoda, you're right, they were convicted....so why bail? They are nuts over there...
Lynn, glad Liesel is a little better.
Yes Lori you did....but no guesses.
I thought that was pretty good from a woman that will be 86 in May LOL
Going to catch Amazing Race, Good Wife, Desperate House Wives, NCIS have to record some.
I will check back in.
When I do this I always take the part of my wireless mouse out and put it in the mouse. Saves on the battery.
FACE SAVING MEASURE not safe facing measure...!!!LOL
Andy, my neighbor at the beach lives in PA. She got her flu shot at a drive thru county clinic!
ON THE AMAZING RACE THEY ARE DOING DRAGON BOAT RACING!!!!
Dana - I thought immediately of Hoda!
Hoda's boat was much larger!
Kay...Kay - are you around?
I've traded in ScareSlug and the happy yellow flowers for this New England Aster...
a get well posy for you...
I plopped two feet into a water filled ditch to get this photo up in Berkeley Springs ☺
Good Evening Eagle Pals....
I have a dragon paddle boatload of posts to backtrack through....might take awhile...so
Hope to see you after a bit on that.
In the meantime...Prayers for wellness for my friends and their pets not feeling so well !
xoxo ♥
OK, caught up on the Hope news...read the updates...praying the info they get tomorrow is that Hope has not been shot.
Going to watch the Good Wife...bbialw
Oh, dear....you and Margy with recurrent leaks.....no fun!
Will you have to tear up and reset the tiles, Paula?
LOL Dana! I told that joke on here last year....and yet I still didn't remember the answer! Hello, my name is Lynne and my favorite color is clear!
Don't understand what you are saying about the mouse, DanaWV.
Sleep tight, Lori---short tho' it may be.
Sorry your BV has flown the coop.
Dana, NCIS isn't on tonight. That's Tues. Tonight is CSI: Miami. Is that what you watch?
Margy made it online! Hurray! Hope your afternoon was fun....bet you made that sun shine, girl!!
Thanks Lynn, sun came out as I approached Berkeley Springs...musta rained while I was snoozing
I always wear pants with pockets so I have extra house and car key....
Wow, what an adventure for Kathryn with her lock-out, glad it seems to have turned out OK Shirley
Oh, the rocks...bet Hunter was in Lapidary Heaven ☺
sorry about the leak Paula...
bummer
my bathroom ceiling still has a leak from upstairs..called landlord yesterday morning....told him I had overnight guests coming, and it looked pretty serious.
Am very disappointed, no one showed up. Their loss, ultimately, i.e., the person that actually OWNS the building.
Sorry about Carolyn, Lynn, hope the medicine works immediately
and
see post about Linda not feeling well, still need to check old thread!
Lynne! Congrats on the new buggy...hope it is a Dream Car, and not a Nightmare car like the last one ! What color ???
great to read that Sharon had her visit with Andrew and Kelsey
♥
Oh! I took my sister and nephew to Cracker Barrel last night...neither one had ever been to one ! Guess they don't have them in Massachusetts or California They were impressed !
Congrats Lolly...to Joseph and Jacob on their respective wins ☺
Bravo !
Bowling Ball was gloriously quiet last night as were her parents...I actually think they were not home !
What perfect timing !!
My nephew and my sister picture is on Magpie's Roost...
she is one tiny might !
You can also see some of my Megan Flowers....
Loretta:
I hope Shorty will re-appear !
Made it through this thread, headed back to the old one
Hoping to find that GG is feeling better after the leg pain ailment
ttfn xoxo
Oh Paula...
saw a calendar at Cracker Barrel last night, and I think there are several months with a Golden Retriever on them ☺
oh, it is a DOG calendar. LOL
Lynne
I am sorry about the stink bug plague at your place....sounds horrible.
Hoda, this is for you.
Hi Judie
one of my brother-in-laws nephews is a deputy sheriff in Fairfax County....
thanked him for being there to watch out for my family and friends there !
I'll email you his name
THANKS JUDIE...I am glad you met one of my country men.It is so much fun to be on the blog. Thanks again.
Lynne:
I see GOLD car and it sounds like a Sweeeet Deal....
Question :
Blood disease in a dog...what would this be? dear friend at vet's now with this with her boxer....
Oh, I get it Margy. Might try to find him.
Okay, you SPLIT Judie
and the rest of us will fall into the SPLIT in about 5 posts...
Goooood Night xoxo
