Good Afternoon Everyone Thank you Steve.... I'm just returning from a picnic where there was good food and lots of it, relatives that I haven't seen for a year, good weather and I even won a prize at one of the games! Very FUN time.
Well a few of us know where we are now! But will everyone else???? We do have the 26th over top of the Sunday even if it is supposed to be for next week! Gotta check ball scores... Also added a more current flower picture to the "Asters" set, about 3 back on blog. It's getting to be time to pay tribute to our hummers---will take awhile, am late on doing other 'puter tasks ☺ & haven't called India again on why I can't view Paula's vidoes anymore???!!I plan to get my money's worth!!
GOOD EVENING EVERYONE... Where is everyone? Got back from our trip a few hours ago. It was a good and relaxing one! I saw on facebook where my Karla and husband are at the beach...didn't think she was going. Glad she did make it:)
Also, saw in facebook where Jo had another GGrandson. Awww! I guess I'll be back when everyone's supper is over.
Hi Wanda! Many are watching football!! Not a happy camper here..... Glad you made it home safe and sound and that you had a relaxing time. No emergency calls here so GG must have done very well!
Missed eagle visit. SIL's bro came to change my water filter cause SIL wouldn't get out of bed today. Grrrr.
It's raining! Only sprinkling, but hope it turns into something significant! Jo, glad the rain held off and your reunion went well! Bet you are tired, tho'.
Kathryn, Hunter, and I enjoyed the cruise and dinner at Red Lobster. I can't think when I have eaten out two nights of the weekend before. We have had a fun weekend.
Good evening! No sick grandson, Loweeda. I was referring to last week when he was sick. However, Laurel is sick. She has a sub lined up for tomorrow and is going to the doctor. She should have done that Friday!!!! She has a horrendous sore throat, head ache, congestion...you know, yuck!!!
Just loaded "It" into the car. ☺ "It" will be well traveled when "It" finally goes home with someone. LOL
We are loaded. Have made two pizzas one is in the oven and the other is in the freezer for a quick meal when we return home.
No time today for mailbox shopping. I did look online, and they are expensive. I will check the stores and see how they work before I make any decision.
The HOA requires a pyramid shaped top on the post, which limits the kind of mailbox I can buy. I will check things out, but I will appeal to the HOA if I have to get a different style of box. I also have to attach the newspaper box to the post.
I think they are pretty strict about the kind of post, though. They forced a whole rental section to change mailboxes. But they do need to know we have kids getting into mailboxes. These are teenagers, too. Not little ones. I have been taking mail I want to send to work so I don't have to put up the flag to advertise there is mail in the box.
Lolly, thx for correction on family ailments! Hope Laurel's ok soon. Hope "IT" travels well and doesn't run away!!LOL Just ordered some parts to accompany my IT!!
Been watching Dolphins and Jets---think I'm on a foreign station if you try to translate some of the titles and scorecards!!!! We had a few more sprinkles this evening, too. Getting cooler, but AC keeps popping on anyway. Going to turn it off!
Shirley, so glad you had a nice afernoon. Bet the cruise was fun. Get some sleep and have a good day at school tomorrow.
Paula, happy you had a nice afternoon away from work and house as well.
Lynn, burgundy on the way, at least in thought. Stuuuuupid game!
Lolly, cannot imagine being so organized. If I miss you two in the a.m., happy launch and safe travels. Stop in as often as you can. Hope Lauren heals quickly.
If I get a locking mailbox and put a fence around the backyard, those kids are going to have to change drastically.
I have been in my yard and seen kids on bikes, kids in groups, and teenaged girls pushing baby strollers right through my yard. There is a path. They get off the school bus at the corner and cut through our yard to the next street.
It would help if the school bus would go down to the other streets, but I probably would not have any luck with asking them to do that.
Judie, I have missed some posts, so I am not sure about what the conspiracy might be. I know there is an "it." I just don't know about a possible conspiracy.
I am bringing something to the open house, too. It has been partially visible in some of the pictures I have posted from time to time.
Congrats to Jo, Paula, & Shirley for having an enjoyable weekend!!!You deserve it! Enjoy your red liquid, Judie & happy for Lynn getting water filter fixed. Now she can have a real clean kitchen! LOL
Eyes not real open anymore! If I'm not back, Lolly & Jack, have a great adventure! & for those hitting the hay, Pleasant Feather Dreams ;>)
Just got an idea, though, about the locking mailbox. I can threaten that if I can't find an acceptable mailbox and suffer identity theft because my mail is stolen, I will hold the HOA responsible. That just might get their attention.
"IT" will be safely on its way soon! I have no idea of what it is... I've heard all of the clues and I only know Jack made something fantabulous that is 12" in height and Lolly doesn't have one - so I am just going to wait and be totally surprised!
Thanks for all the good wishes. We are sooooo ready!I will be loading up the computer the last thing this evening. Gotta stay on late to get the bear update!
Pizza was good. No big deal. When I make homemade pizza, I always make two. Just as easy and if only for the two of us it makes four meals.
No conspiracy between Jack and Lowreeda. LOL Promise to take good care of "It". ☺
Just now getting back here. Hubby and I really enjoyed the movie "The Town" with Ben Affleck. It is not light entertainment, but it IS quite a good movie, about Charlestown, Massachusetts. Gets pretty violent in places, but really an excellent performance by Ben Affleck, who has been in some movies lately that aren't that great. Judie, you would appreciate this one. Very good! Look out come Oscar time!
Well, Hubby and I have been in our recliners, fanning ourselves. It's 7:30 pm, and still 90 degrees outside! This is crazy. Think we are moving to Alaska! Sounds good, anyway. WAAAAH! I want a snowstorm! Oh--sorry. Couldn't help myself.
Lolly, glad it's cooler for you there--don't know HOW you stand it!
Well, guess I'd better go park myself directly in front of the fan in the living room. Not sleepy yet, but it's just too hot for me. Thank GOD it's not humid!
Am leaving the lights on for lateniks--just be careful not to let any stink bugs in, please. Prayers have been said for all, including Lolly and Jack, for their trip that begins tomorrow. Enjoy!
The eye-scanner security and Dana's thumbprint-scanner security are both enabled. Sleep well, everyone, and I'll talk to you tomorrow. Love all of you! :o]
Ok, Jo, prayers going up for you tomorrow with your tests.
It is presently 65 and oh, so delightful. This evening we sat out on the back patio. First time in a long time! So, we have beautiful weather, what do we do but pack up and leave. Oh, well...
Heavens NO, Shirley, et al....no raffling of children or pets! Tell us more about the cruise tomorrow night, Shirley!
Safe travels, Lolly. Hope you get good WIFI connections everywhere.
Goodnight, dear friends. Sleep tight. Hope the raindrops tap on your roofs all night----not doing it here right now. :( Prayers for all our many needs, and praise for our blessings.

Hi Lolly. I will be thinking of you and Jack today.
I am up a bit early this morning because Flash was crying. I let the doggies out for a little while. It is raining out there this morning. A good gentle rain.
Lynn, the cruise started in the Anacostia River right across from the National's Baseball Stadium. It went into the tidal basin and the Potomac. I took some pictures. I haven't uploaded anything yet. I'll try to do it later today.
GOOD MORNING... I'm waiting on a visit from our eagles and see something white in the bottom left of the nest...no idea. Maybe daylight will reveal what it is.

Prayers for Laurel in getting to the doctor and meds for that sore throat and getting better quickly.
Prayers for Mema Jo's breathing test and that it doesn't work you so hard.
I guess I better also say prayers for "IT"!!!!!
Andy thanks for the thump print scanner. Eyes still give me problems. ty
Shirley I like cruises like that. Ed and I (me) whichever is correct. Took one from Baltimore Harbor out to the bay. It was at night and a wonderful dinner cruise with entertainment. Wanda I went through all your blogs. They are not in any.

Well it says 3 comments and the only one I see is Mema Jo's.
Don't know where that Red Skin fan that said let's go to new thread ended up at. That would be Hedgie-Lynn.
I'm still thinking we should have stayed on other thread. But JMO. And in the past it mean't nothing and still means nothing LOL
I think we should have done Monday on it then moved to the Tuesday Thread no matter what the date is.
STEELERS WON!!!!!!!!!

Awww!
I guess I'll be back when everyone's supper is over.
eagle in nest!!!!
Got one (1) picture for album
A blue heron was in the BWO nest
Game is NOT going well... :(

Hi Wanda! Many are watching football!! Not a happy camper here.....
Glad you made it home safe and sound and that you had a relaxing time. No emergency calls here so GG must have done very well!
Missed eagle visit. SIL's bro came to change my water filter cause SIL wouldn't get out of bed today. Grrrr.

Hear the eagle calling....who is up there with our adult????? Squeaky voice??????
Fixing some supper----suddenly realize I'm hungry and the clock is ticking way past dinnertime!
Guess what? Only ONE stinkbug today!!!!! Wonderful!!!!
Hi Wanda glad you and Gene are back safe!!!
Yes Hedgie-Lynn I knew Mema Jo brought us over. I was looking for you to be right before me or behind me in comments.
It's raining! Only sprinkling, but hope it turns into something significant!
Jo, glad the rain held off and your reunion went well! Bet you are tired, tho'.
Hay Hedgie only 1 stinkbug today too and that was inside at Lowe's.
Jo and Hedgie check mail
No emergencies with GG, Lynn. Denise and Karla did a good job keeping her well fed, happy and entertained. THANKS FOR BEING ON STANDBY♥
Dana, we did get back safely with no problems whatsoever:)
Uh, well, I think I know where I am but where I am I do not know. Somewhere in the blogosphere, I think.
Stuuuuupid Skins football game!
Wanda, glad you and Father Gene are home and GG is safe and sound.
Dana, glad your Steelers won.
Think I'm going to finish my burgundy colored liquid and hope to return later.
My delete. Blog cop made me stutter.
Uh, Lynn, do NOT look at the nest until after daylight.
Judie, pass that burgundy liquid.....I am bummed.
LOL---no, I won't look at it.....shut it off an hour ago! S-C-R-E-A-M!!!!!!!
Sprinkles stopped.....
I'm heading for some tv check in later.
Kathryn, Hunter, and I enjoyed the cruise and dinner at Red Lobster. I can't think when I have eaten out two nights of the weekend before. We have had a fun weekend.
What I saw of the Skins game did not look good.
Hey, a Sunday Thread. Thanks, Steve!
Just popping in real quick, had a great time at Pippinfest in Fairfield with GF and Hubby, then we went back to their house and had a cookout.
Getting ready to watch Rubicon, so BBLIALW
Picked up some great apple and caramel cookies today!

We got on the cruise right across from National's Park. There was a game going on. I do not know how that turned out, but we heard lots of cheering.
Raining a little here...need much more!
Lolly, travel safely and enjoy every minute of your trip and each other. Nothing like quality time with your significant other:)

I was thinking the same thing about Lolly, Judie. I can't imagine freezing something to eat upon returning from a trip a couple of months from now.
I've packed for a lot of trailer trips over the years. Just getting the trailer packed was enough.
I am very suspicious of an "it" conspiracy between Lowreeda and Jack.
Yes, best wishes for a rapid recovery for Lauren. Getting ready for a sub and then grading all of the papers is a major undertaking.
George came to sit with me in the recliner. He let me rub his chin for awhile, and when I tried to use the mouse, he bit me.
Okay, three bites is enough! George has been sent away from the recliner.
Judie, I have missed some posts, so I am not sure about what the conspiracy might be. I know there is an "it." I just don't know about a possible conspiracy.

Shirley! You'd never raffle off George!!! He sounds like our Binky---usually sweet, but the Jekyll-Hyde transition occurs and you will be bitten!
LOL, Shirley.......you all are driving me crazy with all of the IT hints.....but I will mark you down, as well, as bringing something!!!
Was your cruise the Mount Vernon trip on the Dandy?? Neat! Glad you enjoyed it.
Took a nap....woke up to hearing real rain drops! Hope it lasts.
Time for Brothers & Sisters season premiere. BBL.
Not Mt. Vernon, Lynn, but that sounds like fun.

I would not raffle off George. Neither would I raffle off Luna, Flash, nor Lucky.
And I am keeping Kathryn, Hunter, Will, and Rus. Whether they live here or elsewhere.
As well as Suzi.
You can't have them.
It is not a Mercedes.
Any chance of your raffling off Will?
"IT" will be safely on its way soon!

Safe trip Lolly and Jack
George has returned to the recliner. I think it is time for a glass of milk with a tiny bit for George and bedtime.
Good night and God bless. See you tomorrow.
Shirley You answered my question about raffling Will before I even asked!
I am keeping Will. He will be pleased that you asked, though, Jo.
I told Will about your question, Jo. He chuckled.
Five-thirty comes early. I must retire.

Hi, Everyone,
Just now getting back here. Hubby and I really enjoyed the movie "The Town" with Ben Affleck. It is not light entertainment, but it IS quite a good movie, about Charlestown, Massachusetts. Lolly, glad it's cooler for you there--don't know HOW you stand it!
Well, guess I'd better go park myself directly in front of the fan in the living room. Not sleepy yet, but it's just too hot for me.

I have already made my coffee and done a load of laundry this morning. Just need to put it in the dryer.
I will have to charge the camera battery before I can do anything. I used up all of the battery power yesterday.
Congratulations to Michael on his achievement, Lolly. You can be very proud.

nestorating!
other one just landed near cam and shook it up!

Hi Wanda!
I don't hear anymore clunking, but the one in the nest is looking all around and up.
We still have hummers here this morning!!
POOOF
All gone...think it was Lib.
Good Morning Shirley, Margy, Wanda and Lynne.
Those spidey webs won't stop us from spying and eagle. Although they do get in the viewing way.
Gone

Lolly we know you are proud of Michael as you should be. Pulling out today---Safe travels. Gods speed.
Shirley you are getting things done early this AM.
Have a good day everyone!
That was a short but sweet visit for me...I didn't get to see the beginning.
Soft rain now, on the nest and here at my 'nest' too:)
Lynne, Dana, Shirley...glad to have shared a glimpse of Lib with you. Have a good day:)

Really pouring down the rain here now.
I posted 2 photos of this morning's visit in the album.
I then, posted the same two photos on my Wild and Wonderful...look at the difference!
Lynne, I vaguely recall reading something about the LATE BLOOMERS in the butterfly world, do not leave the vicinity in which they hatched...they hibernate...and if they make it through the Winter, they are the first ones that you see in the Spring. I THINK!
I'll check that out to be sure, when I have time:)
Wanda two pics of Lib not in Wild and Wonderful
DANA, they were so WILD AND WONDERFUL that they flew away:):)
Searching for them now!
Wanda I went through all your blogs. They are not in any.
Where is Lib hiding?
Where or where can our Liberty be?
In Wanda's blog playing with me!!
Hope she finds him for ALL to see.
Then Liberty won't be hiding.....
LOL
OK I found them and told them to STAY PUT!
Eagle at BWO not standing straight. He must have had some of that red liquid you all was talking about.
DANA, BWO eagle does look a little bedraggled...maybe wind blown:)
DANA, Lib fly back into Wild and Wonderful;)
