Lynne I am glad you used good judgment by going to the doctor. Take your meds - it is easy to forget to take them regularly when you are feeling well and like you don't need them. I sometimes think the same thing. So now by Wednesday you will not be feeling droggy anymore! Whoo Hoo!
I have all this lovely digital pictures and I sent some off to Walgreens to get prints. But the prints don't look very good. I know Walgreen's may not the the best place for getting them done, but am I doing something wrong?
I doubt it is something you are doing.. If the digital print on the camera looks good I don't know why the print wouldn't look the same. I would go back to Walgreens and ask.
I'm sitting under the hair dryer...tried to take a panda nap...phone rang...Denise, making mac and cheese to go with our chicken. Wooo Whooo! No nap for me now:( My body doesn't know how to take a nap:) LOL
Hey, Jo...we forgot the Snickers Pie that we were going to split yesterday:( (Is that what it was called?) Anyway, I did have a sweet tooth after that and had some Snickers, caramel, peanut butter chocolate chunk ice cream last night...I'm not much on ice cream or desserts for that matter, but oh, was that goooood!
I can't believe Palmer shows up and the camera has gone crackers...I know it was working just a little while ago because I keep it up so I can hear and check on it. Do you think she hit it and messed it up somehow?
I know what you mean Fuz, I was on the floor doing battle with my dog trying to get nails trimmed and I heard the screeching of our baby! Left treats on the floor, Daisy ate them all....she's thrilled! Me, not so much. With visits getting fewer and further between now, each one "could" be our last to see her and I hate that we are missing this one.
I'd just like to say to anyone out there reading and not yet posting....PLEASE JOIN US!!! We know you're out there and would love to have you jump on with your thoughts and observations!! The more the merrier!
HOT AS HADES!!! Well, guess it is the dew point that's the killer here near the ocean - key word "near" - I can't even SEE the ocean. Dew point has been in the 70's and I just melt when it reaches 60. The blue screen was the last tear - I usually turn down the sound when Palmer vocalizes and just watch her - dang it.
WOWSIE! Just put my feet down and came out I had left my sound up but I didn't hear our Palmer come home. I can hear her now with the snap crackle pop! This is the first I've seen her in quite a while.
Well, I got back on in time to see Palmer for a few minutes and then....poof! BUT, I saw her! I was beginning to be a little fearful. What was the date we last saw Hidey?
I worked in the yard but then it started raining. We were supposed to get soaking rains but just a light rain for a few minutes each day. Sun is out now. Want a soaking rain!!!!!
I have been loading pictures of Hawkwood. Just so you know, like you did not already know, where I spend my time. I need to learn how to do a slide show with music. lol But, anyway, I loaded many new pictues! Hawkwood blog! Remember to click them to make them larger!
Thank you, Lynne. I love working in the yard, but wonder what will happen when I can no longer give it the attention it needs. Oh, well, that is in the future and we will just have to adjust!!
I will NOT be posting pictures of MY poor, sad garden. Maybe if we get some regular rain it'll look better. I just haven't been able to do what I wanted to with this heat and lack of rain, even with watering. I know it seems petty, I guess, to be so upset about it, but after this past winter, and with this being the first time I've had a yard to work in, I had high hopes for my gardens this year.
DO NOT WORRY about that Lolly! That's a long time away if ever and even then, it may take longer, but it'll keep you young at heart to spend time in that beautiful place!
We are going on a whale watch boat ride this fall or least we are hoping too. Loved the whales we saw in Alaska and Hawaii. Want to see them off the east coast as well.
Shirley, do not even like to think about the Gulf. It makes me sick when I think of all the damage that has been done. As it is, as a child we always found sea shells at the beach but the last few years there have been very few sea shells. Sad! Now, no Gulf shrimp.
Just praying now that the oil will have not reached Aransas Pass by the time we get there on the 26th.
When working in the yard it started raining and now my hair is a mess. I am off to make repairs. My 45 years of marriage may go down the drain if I continue to look like I do. lol
Well Jo, I think you should send them in 158 days. That will get them there 10 days before Christmas (which is on a Saturday this year) which is in 168 days, 8 hours and 12 minutes.
Lynn - Aaron didn't have his camera that day - so no pictures. There was the news coverage pictures. The dolphins were herding in the small fishes and they spotted them first. The guards knew the humpback was coming and had everyone out of the water. link to coverage of the June spotting of a juvie humpback
wow, I had no idea there have been so many sightings this year!! How awesome! I sure hope this dead whale wasn't the one Aaron saw.
The last time I was at the beach...5 or 6 years ago, my brother and I were in the waves swimming when all these little fish were suddenly all around us and darned if there were not dolphins "herding" them up, not 20 feet away from us!! It was AMAZING! My nieces were so excited, but so young then that I doubt they remember it.
I had a hunch she'd stopped by when I saw that the turtle shell had been disturbed (figured Palmer did it, or somebody else climbed up into the tree and was rummaging around for turtle shells...). But as I read through the blog, I see I got here just a little too for the Palmer sighting. Oh well - glad to hear some witnesses were around to catch a glimpse of our pretty eaglet!
I know. Poor dog....just so happens I saw a Seeing Eye Lab in the grocery store today so hearing one was killed in such a manner was even more disturbing.
I'm off to fix dinner....BTW, we may head to Terra Alta this weekend so if you don't hear from me tomorrow, don't worry!
thanks for putting it in Paula! Jo, that's why I got it...may not be many more visits :( Glad I was there when the cam came back up...I almost went outside!
My live feed has been up and running for 4 hours. When it first came on the nest pic was there but then a 5 sec commercial was on before the live feed started running.
Lynn I did say Hi to Lynn from all of you and she sure does miss not being here. She is getting more and more frustrated as each day passes without the internet. She is recording it all. She heard that today they couldn't go into the control room to work until an AC part was received and repair work was done.
She may go over to Christy's tomorrow with her lap top.
Dana - Aug 11 is my next haircut day & Lynne always sends me a reminder. You could mark it on your calendar to remind Lynne to send me the reminder! lol that would be funny!
I didn't over order the Christmas cards but Dana I didn't say how many. Did you see the number 158? That is the amount of days until Lynne said I could mail them. Lynne is the one who was saying how many more days until Christmas.
One of my large flower pots full of scarlet petunias sets near the one bird feeder. So the birds honored me with a sunflower seed. The sunflower is small and just about ready to open. It's brilliant yellow petals are gorgeous.
This evening is pretty decent outside More decent than the past week! About time!
Going to watch game show and then see what an 8:00 movie is that my hubby will be watching.
I can see 2 turtle shells, maybe 3 in the nest...2 are right next to each other, where the one was spotted and we thought had disappeared...and appears to be one smack dab in the middle of the nest.
Something just landed on the cam branch, no squeals heard
They are on the right side of the long branch that looks like an upside down Y, that starts at 6 and point to 10-11 on the nest. They are touching each other.
Megan posted on FB earlier that it felt like someone was poking her head with an ice pick. She said the meds should kick in in a couple of days and hopefully she'll feel better. I'm still dizzy, physically AND figuratively! How are YOU feeling?
I feel so much better since I've been home...think the first day double dose has started to kick in, can swallow much better...going to have chicken wings for dinner....had soup for lunch
It sounds like Lynn should "poop" on Frontier at least.
Sorry I disappeared for awhile. Have been on the phone with Kathryn. She called to see if I would be interested in going to Maggie Valley, NC, next weekend. We have been looking at possible places to stay.
Tom is going canoeing for the weekend. We sometimes take our own trips when he does that. His parents have a trailer at a campground down there.
Ok got a pinch of rain. Wind blowing badly ... looking like we are going to get a bad storm. I wished it would rain slowly so it can sink into the soil.
Prayers for all those that need them.
PLEASE REMEMBER KAREN KINSUAL IN YOU PRAYERS ... THINGS ARE NOT GOOD!!!! I WILL RELAY MORE TO YOU TOMORROW WHEN THIS STORM IS NOT COMING...PLEASE PRAY PRAY PRAY..
I'm signing off since this is the slow but only computer I have. Sent mind in. Called maybe get something--everything on backlog---they may be sending me a "refirbushed spelling" one...not too happy. Won't know anything until around July 16th. Sent in in June....I HEAR THUMDER SHUTTING DOWN.
Wow, it looks and probably feels so refreshing at the nest!!Very dark. I'm leaving the sound up, so we can feel cool!Wind is not getting rid of web. Guess those who were around this PM, don't know if Palmer was in the neast. I read about the dreaded blue screen!I tried to get on Comments at work & got that nasty "this site is blocked" message! BOO Sometimes I've been able to get in-duh! Glad to hear Lynne & Paula are on the mend ☺. Did Paula go to Dr?Was it flu? How awful especially in summer. Our little buddy, Shorty, found me in back of house on deck w/coffee this AM. When I went in to get peanuts, he climbed up in chair next to the door!Got a pic of him under a flowerpot---gotta dwnld. Looks like Jo & I have semi-domestic squirrels!! ☺
Just came in from dinner on the patio. We even turned the fan off! It is a very pleasant evening with the gentle rain still falling. AND,when I came in, I could hear rain falling on the nest and cam. Yea! Prayers that Megan is getting rain.
I went out and watered the porch plants, and Will came to tell me it is about to rain. Only thing is the porch is under roof. Gotta water the plants there. Sometimes I take the plants and set them out in the rain, but it was easier to water them tonight. If it is still raining tomorrow, I will probably shift the plants around.
Went back out and put the hanging plants where they can get rained on. It there is any wind, most of the others will some blown on them. The hanging ones are suffering the most. I may need to re-pot them and put something in the hanging baskets.
well, rain on radar is looking far lighter than it did and hour ago. Loosing the heat of day will lessen storm potential. That's better for us...lighter, steady rain for a couple of hours will be more beneficial that hard rain from storms. Hoping it doesn't do the disappearing act in the evaporation zone here, like it has every other time....
nite Shirely, hope you get to listen for a while to the rain. Megan just posted on FB that they got nothing. Can you imagine? Now THAT's evaporation zone at work. And it sucks.
I'm just going to put on my little noise machine to "falling rain" when I go to bed and pretend.
Heading up soon, so good night and prayers for all....and rain.
I finished my TV show (2 hrs) and it was really good. Lynne and Paula try to get a good night's sleep tonight. I'm hoping you both awaken and feel much better. You too Megan!
I am going to sign off for the day... Good Night All Prayers for Karen and Kailey and all other wants and needs. Hugs to All ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Good Evening... No rain, to speak of, here. Started and stopped quickly:( Maybe we'll do better tomorrow??
We had a fun evening at GG's. Her appetite and mood were wonderful:) She picked a shopping bag full of beans and another bag of squash. That's a lot of picking for anybody! She ate 3 chicken wings, cole slaw and a large helping of macaroni and cheese. (Denise makes excellent mac & cheese) We always flash our headlights at her when we leave and tonight, she flashed the porch light off and on at us:) She is so cute!
Time for bed.
GOOD NIGHT MY FRIENDS SWEET DREAMS PRAYERS FOR ALL
Put Shorty pics + on blog. Thought I heard raindrop splats at the nest. Not a drop here. Gonna watch news, so if I don't get back, hope everyone has a goog night. Prayers for Karen and Kailey.
PS: Lolly might be interested in this---talked to my daughter last night & she said they've been told (don't know by whom)that some oil balls seen on TX Gulf shores might not be from regular spread, but caused by ships coming into ports~~~the wake from sailing thru an oil area or some falling off the hulls. They are going to study this----Duh. Need to stop it everywhere. BTW, they put their boat in Gulf at Port Aransas. Was much more convenient when they lived in Houston!
Jack just woke me to go bathe and get ready for bed. lol
Yes, Loweeda, we have been following the news about the oil coming ashore in Galveston. Glad your daughter liked going to Port A. We are really enjoying going there. I had never been until a few years ago. Being from the valley, we had always gone to South Padre. However, it is closer for us to drive and we LOVE Pioneer RV resort which is right on the beach.
OK, reread what you said, Loweeda, about Port A. Maybe it was not as convenient as where they used to go.???? But Port A is a great place to go, not as popular as South Padre or Galveston.
Me and the Mockingbird are awake..I think that's about it... I have an early start for dayshift today - 4 am...(someone is sick) glad to hear Lynne and Paula are on the healing track...hope everyone else is feeing chipper today
I got some pretty good rain here..wonder if Hedgie got rain! Maybe we will hear about it later on if she gets to a computer and can "talk" to us here
Best wishes for a good day, everyone.... God Bless Us, Every One xo ♥

Lynne, how is dinky?
yeah Jo, I was pretty worried about the dizziness and tiredness and it was really bad this morning. I'll take my meds!
Dinky is doing really well, and he's getting BIG! I'll have to take a picture of him next week!
Can anyone tell me...
I have all this lovely digital pictures and I sent some off to Walgreens to get prints. But the prints don't look very good. I know Walgreen's may not the the best place for getting them done, but am I doing something wrong?

Hi, Lynne...your copies SHOULD be as good as your prints! Take them back and show them to the clerk.
Sorry that had to happen:(
I'm sitting under the hair dryer...tried to take a panda nap...phone rang...Denise, making mac and cheese to go with our chicken. Wooo Whooo! No nap for me now:( My body doesn't know how to take a nap:) LOL

In to work for a couple of hours...
Palmer has just arrived at the nest.
I just brought up the cam and had a pic, but now it's just a blue screen.
PALMER!!!
I can't say whether she's in the nest or in the tree
I HAVE NO PICTURE
only the Blue Screen of Death on the live cam :( but I hear her loud and clear!
Tried refreshing the cam, but still blue.
BTW, Ford commercial is back
can't get the still cam either, just has picture from last night of spidey web.
UUUUGGGGGHHHHH
oh this SUCKS
glad to know she's dropped in today though!
So Jo, what is happening on Aug 11?
Lynne, glad the prescription should help!
No strep throat, but got a Z pack. Already taken today's dose. Gonna stay just a tad longer, then head for home.
Daisy is glad Palmer showed up so I could stop trimming her nails!
Paula, it's her next haircut appt. That was for me!
Glad you got some meds. now get some more rest!
I can't believe Palmer shows up and the camera has gone crackers...I know it was working just a little while ago because I keep it up so I can hear and check on it. Do you think she hit it and messed it up somehow?
Actually the still cam is THREE DAYS AGO!
So we have a blue screen and those stupid commercials again -
WONDERFUL . . . NOT!!
Fuz, I didn't even realize that about the still cam! I rarely have it up! Except for live cam emergencies...fat lot of good it's doing us now!
&$^$*#((@&(*#&$))@)%$&!!
LOL!
on a brighter, or not, note....there sure is a big SLUG of rain building west of here....I am getting hopeful that it will come!!
I haven't seen Palmer for DAYS and when I heard her I came running in from the back room. ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And Lynne, we will remind you on here to take your allergy meds!!
oh thanks Paula.....I just bought a 4 month supply of them. I will do better but reminders will help!
how has your weather been in MA, Fuz?
I'd just like to say to anyone out there reading and not yet posting....PLEASE JOIN US!!! We know you're out there and would love to have you jump on with your thoughts and observations!! The more the merrier!
HOT AS HADES!!!
Well, guess it is the dew point that's the killer here near the ocean - key word "near" - I can't even SEE the ocean. Dew point has been in the 70's and I just melt when it reaches 60. The blue screen was the last tear - I usually turn down the sound when Palmer vocalizes and just watch her - dang it.
THERE SHE IS!!!!!!!!
Y A Y !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OK, I see we have a view from Pikesville....that's close to me!
Fuz, our dewpoint is 64 right now. But you must REALLY be melting with yours in the 70s....that's too much!
OOOOOOO CAM BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!! HI PALMER!!!
now isn't she the prettiest eaglet EVER!
YES!!
Well, Hidey was really cute too in all honesty. He was my first eaglet ever -
Hidey was my first, too! I often wonder where she/he is....
wow, just read that a whale carcass washed up near 6th St in OC yesterday!
Hi, taking a break from closet cleaning. It still feels hopeless. Such a mess.
Whale washes up in OC
VIEWER DISCRETION ADVISED
WOWSIE! Just put my feet down and came out I had left my sound up but I
didn't hear our Palmer come home.
I can hear her now with the snap crackle pop!
This is the first I've seen her in quite a while.
Have been listening to and now watching Palmer.
Beautiful sight.
They say it smells awful, Lynne.
I can't even imagine the smell! Will be interesting to hear what the necropsy reveals.
Watching divers in the Gulf of Mexico on CNN.
of course, I am assuming they'll do a necropsy but where???
What are the divers doing Shirley?
oh no, looks like Palmer is on the launch pad for takeoff
Palmer just took off.
and POOF
The divers are describing what is in the water. It's a live shot.
Poof! Short stay but such a welcome sight!
Mid June Aaron saw a humpback feeding close to the shore line.. Sorry this one didn't make it.
There are sharks around them.
Maybe Helen can give us a first hand report on the whale if she was there in the crowd.
The water is so murky that you can hardly see them. They say it should be clear.
Really Jo!!! I had no idea whales were that close to shore on the east coast!! Did he get any pictures by chance?

Lolly, how beautiful! What an amazing job you've done!
Jack just headed out to the shop. He is working on his latest project....the BIG secret. hee hee
Thank you, Lynne. I love working in the yard, but wonder what will happen when I can no longer give it the attention it needs. Oh, well, that is in the future and we will just have to adjust!!

In the Gulf: They did not see other fish besides the sharks. (About 50 miles from the source of the oil.)
We are going on a whale watch boat ride this fall or least we are hoping too. Loved the whales we saw in Alaska and Hawaii. Want to see them off the east coast as well.

Lynne - I hope I am not jumping the gun but I just ordered my Eagle Christmas Cards. How long is it before I need to send them out?
That reminds me Jo. I was going to make my cards this year using a snow photo. I better get with it!

Gotcha Lynne
Yep Lolly It'll be here before we know it!
I am going to call Lynn - see what she is up to!
BRB
wow, I had no idea there have been so many sightings this year!! How awesome! I sure hope this dead whale wasn't the one Aaron saw.
The last time I was at the beach...5 or 6 years ago, my brother and I were in the waves swimming when all these little fish were suddenly all around us and darned if there were not dolphins "herding" them up, not 20 feet away from us!! say HI to Lynn for me!
Yay,, glad Palmer was seen on cam!
FINALLY heading home, I am whupped.
Later
I had a hunch she'd stopped by when I saw that the turtle shell had been disturbed (figured Palmer did it, or somebody else climbed up into the tree and was rummaging around for turtle shells...). But as I read through the blog, I see I got here just a little too for the Palmer sighting. Oh well - glad to hear some witnesses were around to catch a glimpse of our pretty eaglet!
Nutty Putty.
I missed the beautiful little eagle?
Oh no.
It's been pouring the rain here since about 4:00. Yea.
I am so very sorry for spreading the dorggies. Do hope that you are the forgiving types.
I like the sound of that thunder. I do not like the MT nest.
Surprised to see the foremost turtle shell missing.
Missing the musical sound of Palmers delicate calling.
I noticed that too BEagle, but as the cam was DOWN when she first arrived, couldn't see what kind of chaos was going on the moved the shell
some asshole left a lab in the car in Costco in Frederick and duh, it died. WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE???
oh my, sorry for the expletive...
Thanks KB for reminding me to be thankful for all those who did see Palmer and posted for the absent to enjoy.
THANK YOU!!!
That's all right Lynne. There are AH's around all right. We all could tell stories about them.
They have been around since the beginning of time.
Put pic of Palmer on my blog from nest visit this afternoon...someone please put in EM album?
.........and you never get used to them.
I thought maybe the blue screen earlier was to fix the still cam, but it's still stuc on 7/6
I don't think #08 has fledged, but is just out of cam site. (WE nest)
I hear some pretty loud squawking.
The Lake Wash. eagles are branching now.
That's OK Lynne, the guy was an AH. People just don't think sometimes.
Cool pics of the whale Jo, wish they were bigger. Guess that was a sight to see!
Sorry about the dead whale, poor thing.
I think the tutle shell is at the 9 spot, inbetween the sticks? Probably easier to tell when the sun starts to go down
Lynne, put the pic in the EM album
The turtle shell become more clear in a few minutes.
A fresh cupcake sounds pretty good.
A stale one doesn't sound too bad either.
I was reaching for the shell but Palmer flew in and it slipped out of my hand - really thought I had it
Thanks for the pic in the EM album = we may not get many more! Time is running out!
thanks for putting it in Paula! Jo, that's why I got it...may not be many more visits :( Glad I was there when the cam came back up...I almost went outside!
My live feed has been up and running for 4 hours. When it first came on the nest pic was there but then a 5 sec commercial was on before the live feed started running.

She heard that today they couldn't go into the control room to work until an AC part was received and repair work was done.
She may go over to Christy's tomorrow with her lap top.
poor Lynn, how frustrating! hope she can "poop" on tomorrow from Christy's!
Staying home this weekend after all.
Jo what happens in August..... ...Should I make
a note of it?
Have whales came on shore before at Ocean City?
A kid said "cool" his mother said "yuck" lol
Seen it on news this morning.
Looking like rain hope it does but not too hard.
A nice easy rain so it can soak in.
Jo Christmas cards.....How do you afford to send so many?
Hope Lynn-Hedgie does take her Lap top and gets on line tomorrow.
Lynne, what do you hope Lynn can do???
Potatoes in the oven, rub on the steaks, grill heating...I see hope for dinner!
We are up to half inch of rain for yesterday and today and it is still raining...gently.
Glad you are getting rain, Lolly.
Lynne is the one who was saying how many more days until
Christmas.
I think that Lynne made an
intentional pun!!!
Alright - no go to Terra Alto!
Weather forecast indicates a very very
nice day for Shepherdstown Farmer's Market - buy your greens and peaches and listen to the Speak Easy Boys!
Cute kids on Jeopardy.
One of my large flower pots full of scarlet petunias sets near the one
bird feeder.
Starting to cloud up here...just checked weatherunderground...2 nice lines of showers headed our way...sure hope they hold up!
I can see 2 turtle shells, maybe 3 in the nest...2 are right next to each other, where the one was spotted and we thought had disappeared...and appears to be one smack dab in the middle of the nest.
Something just landed on the cam branch, no squeals heard
i hear thumping at mic
And our night light is already on.
MT nest but thought I heard some noise up at the mic......
Paula are they right-side up or
upside down?
Come on down here!
Spidey's web is starting
It is going to take Lib & Belle months
to refurbish the nest. Doesn't look like it has any side rails anymore.
intentional typo Shirley....I did pooped on by typo accident on night a while back!
something still stirring on cam/mic
Good evening, everyone.
I see Paula and Lynne have been here. Hoping you both are feeling better. How about Megan? Anyone know how she is doing?
Sleeping sickness still hanging around. Heat is just too much these days so not much accomplished today except laundry.
Missed Palmer but was, of course, able to get the live cam to see an MT nest. How lucky can I be?
So sorry about the Lab that did not survive. Sure hope charges are filed for animal neglect/cruelty. Selfish human owner.
Will return to say goodnight.
Jo, they might be upside down.
How are YOU feeling?
looks like the rain is on the doorstep of Hagerstown and Frederick!
I feel so much better since I've been home...think the first day double dose has started to kick in, can swallow much better...going to have chicken wings for dinner....had soup for lunch
glad you are feeling better!
Headed out with the dogs for some run and play time and back in for shower time before it storms. BBL
Actually went out in the yard and pruned some perennials back
Breeze has just started to pickup at the nest
It sounds like Lynn should "poop" on Frontier at least.
Sorry I disappeared for awhile. Have been on the phone with Kathryn. She called to see if I would be interested in going to Maggie Valley, NC, next weekend. We have been looking at possible places to stay.
Tom is going canoeing for the weekend. We sometimes take our own trips when he does that. His parents have a trailer at a campground down there.
Wind blowing spidey's home all around.
Glad that you are feeling so much better, Paula.
Lynne, hope you feel better soon.
My service just came back up but not soon enough to get a closer look at the tt shells.
Prayers are going up for Karen.
It sounds like spatters on the nest.
Prayers for Karen.
The cam on the Puffin family is zoomed in on their chick. Cute little bird.
Oh..it's not a puffin its a seabird of some sort. Still a cutie but the cam is zoomed out and scouring the area.
It's a cormorant I suppose.
The TH twins are both on the nest. Both screaming for food.
so, Dana has THUMDER....that must be thunder gone dorggy!
Still hear wind, haven't really heard the rain.
BEagle - WE nest...they think 08 might have accidently fledged...carried off while wingersizing...
I'm sooo tired, but I want to be awake when the rains finally come to us!
Paula, I hope that #08 is alright.
I try to go to the forum but I always manage to get lost on it.
All I heard on the nest were a few splatters, then it was over.
hear rain at the nest, just starting
Gee whiz. The TH twins are making a lot of noise. I cannot imagine what it was like when the royal nest had three chicks.
Looks like rain is coming from the west. I am not sure what happened to the rain that was supposed to come from the east.
it stayed east...but yet we still have a wonderful easterly wind despite the storms coming in from the west.
Yup, hear the rain now...the second line of storms much lighter than the first, not sure how much rain MD will get out of it...
BEagle - at WE, 08 was walking down the back right side of the nest, and don't think he reappeared. IWS is checking on the nest today.
I hear rain at the nest. Music to my ears. Send some this way!
The chimney swifts are supposed to hatch around the 11th. I want to make sure to check. Maybe see some chickies.
I remember looking at the chimney swifts last summer. It is hard to believe that they can all fit into that tiny nest.
63 degrees at Maggie Valley
May the splatters head your way Shirley.
I wish I could zoom out on the WE nest and see what it looks like. There should be a picture somewhere on the forum.
One of the daily photos of the chimney swifts showed both parents trying to incubate.
That nest can actually hold two adults and four eggs. It will be fun to see the chicks hatch out.
Just came in from dinner on the patio. We even turned the fan off! It is a very pleasant evening with the gentle rain still falling. AND,when I came in, I could hear rain falling on the nest and cam. Yea! Prayers that Megan is getting rain.
My valley is getting downpour
Hope it last hours upon hours
Rain should be here soon...looks like it's gonna be a deluge..
Feeding at WE.
I think there was food brought in at WE. A little hard to tell.
Okay, now the WE parent is feeding the eaglet. Lots of squealing.
I put mine out tonight Shirley so they would get some fresh rain.
Wray brought in a fish at WE, but cleaning up nestover fish first. Feeding some to 07...might have heard 08 as well.
Rain? Is there such a thing as rain? How nice it would be to experience some rain!
Paula, glad you are feeling better. Hope you are much better tomorrow.
Will be turning my light off soon but will leave the night light on for others coming in. Hope Andy will set our alarm for us.
Heartfelt prayers for Karen and Kailey.
It is raining here!!
Went back out and put the hanging plants where they can get rained on. It there is any wind, most of the others will some blown on them. The hanging ones are suffering the most. I may need to re-pot them and put something in the hanging baskets.
Raining harder now. Judie, you should get some, too.
well, rain on radar is looking far lighter than it did and hour ago. Loosing the heat of day will lessen storm potential. That's better for us...lighter, steady rain for a couple of hours will be more beneficial that hard rain from storms. Hoping it doesn't do the disappearing act in the evaporation zone here, like it has every other time....
Rain stalled on top the mountains...nothing here yet!
Oh my bad, finally started here
Was roaming around the IWS forum. Maybe getting the hang of it and checked out the nest observations. : )
It makes me think that #08 simply fledged and now the other twin is going to follow.
Good thing someone can check on wee little 08.
Ready to head upstairs and listen to the lovely sound of rain while I read my book.
Will have to do more closet work again tomorrow. I have way too much stuff.
Not too far from a split. May happen later tonight.
See you tomorrow.
Good night and God bless.
The Hornby cam is zoomed in at the moment. It wasn't too long ago you could see all of Phoenix. Now it's mostly feet and bloomers.
Spidey working away
Good night, Shirley...enjoy!
The showers look like they are falling apart :(
nite Shirely, hope you get to listen for a while to the rain. Megan just posted on FB that they got nothing. Can you imagine? Now THAT's evaporation zone at work. And it sucks.
I'm just going to put on my little noise machine to "falling rain" when I go to bed and pretend.
Heading up soon, so good night and prayers for all....and rain.
yep Paula, just thinking the same thing as I'm watching the radar. I can't believe it.
I finished my TV show (2 hrs) and it was really good.
Lynne and Paula try to get a good night's sleep tonight. I'm hoping you both awaken and feel much better.
You too Megan!
I am going to sign off for the day...
Good Night All
Prayers for Karen and Kailey and all other wants and needs.
Hugs to All ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
thanks Jo, you too!
Awww, too bad
CRC rescue
I'll check the rain gauge in the morning...wasn't very much...
heading to bed, been a long day, catch ya'll tomorrow
Hugs to all ♥
The Split is getting close. BUT...
it's time to hit the sack.
I was watching both WE adults flying around surely with an eagle eye on #8 wherever he might be.
Hi Margy when you're on.
Good night and sleep well for healthy bodies tomorrow Lynne and Paula.
God loves His creation. After all..
He put it all together with His own design.
And He loves you more.
Good Evening...
No rain, to speak of, here. Started and stopped quickly:(
Maybe we'll do better tomorrow??
We had a fun evening at GG's. Her appetite and mood were wonderful:)
She picked a shopping bag full of beans and another bag of squash. That's a lot of picking for anybody! She ate 3 chicken wings, cole slaw and a large helping of macaroni and cheese. (Denise makes excellent mac & cheese)
We always flash our headlights at her when we leave and tonight, she flashed the porch light off and on at us:) She is so cute!
Time for bed.
GOOD NIGHT MY FRIENDS
SWEET DREAMS
PRAYERS FOR ALL
Put Shorty pics + on blog.
Thought I heard raindrop splats at the nest. Not a drop here.
Gonna watch news, so if I don't get back, hope everyone has a goog night. Prayers for Karen and Kailey.
Pleasant Feather Dreams ;>)
I just woke up...need to go back to sleep. lol
Nite all! Sweet dreams!
Me and the Mockingbird are awake..I think that's about it...
I have an early start for dayshift today - 4 am...(someone is sick)
glad to hear Lynne and Paula are on the healing track...hope everyone else is feeing chipper today
I got some pretty good rain here..wonder if Hedgie got rain!
Maybe we will hear about it later on if she gets to a computer and can "talk" to us here
Best wishes for a good day, everyone....
God Bless Us, Every One
xo ♥
Good Morning all,
No rain over night but very light rain now. Barely a spit.
Just heard our baby screeching nearby! Nest empty.
Taking dogs out, BBL
heard squealing again around 8:05 while feeding the dogs but still not at nest, further away.
raining just a little harder now but still dry under trees.
