SHIRLEY---It is raining there---we think--& bet she is protecting her chicks??----that nest went through a bad storm a while back---we thought we would not get to watch the nest---but I thank God we can-----Also we learned about 2 yrs ago that the nest is artificial---meaning they BOUGHT the nest--& look how small all the trees look!-----that's shows one how HIGH the nest is from the ground---
Yes, Paula, I have always wondered about those trees. Either they are very small or the nest is high above them Also, they do not seem to have leaves. An artificial nest? Interesting . . .
LOLLY---What time did your boys wake up?---dawn??? ho! That's what mine used to do---then they would sometimes get cranky in late afternoon!!!---Don't you LOVE 'EM!!
SHIRLEY---I had posted that post for you on the other thread---PAULA brought it over!!---This has always been my FAVORITE site---& for some reason--couldn't get it last year!!---NOW WE HAVE IT!!---The other nests were better--(remember this one went through the bad storm)---& seems to be a wee bit out of shape!!-----
Oh, I have taught those boys....DO NOT WAKE UP GRANDMOIMMY! LOL Joseph said he woke up at 6 something and Jacob he said woke up at 7. I got up about 7:15 and had not heard a sound. Good boys!
However, while I was in the bathroom getting dressed they woke up Grandaddy by attacking him. LOL
Joseph is already eating me out of house and home. He has had left over steak and leftover baked potato. LOL Oh, then he found the bacon left over from topping the baked potatoes. Jacob did not finish his cereal and then wanted vanilla wafers. Would not let him have them. Mean Grandmommy!
Going to make them banana nut bread this morning. They love it!
DANA---Checked the DONKEY SITE for you this morning-- ho!--There is a PACE this am---but not as many as yesterday!!---postive thoughts & love to you & ED this am!!---GOD BLESS!!
SHIRLEY---Another note on FINLAND!!a couple of years ago--there were 2chicks---1 died---& a man climbed all the way up to the nest & removed it---we also saw a deer or two---It is fascinating!!
Good morning everyone. Flag Day How well I remember and I guess I always will. Just wanted to stop by and share a link to some special kind of memories. Some of us are on year 1 of this journey others year two or 3 but we all have connections to a nest in a sycamore tree there in WV. Many of us have some very special connections to a time and place called Flag Day June 2006. And all Americans know there freedom comes at a tremendous price. Our country faces a storm like many of us have never seen in our lifetimes. But we have watched the eagles rise above the storm. They have taught and continue to teach so very much to those who watch and listen. This is a link for all"Spunky kind of Americans"
If anyone can capture a pic of the 3 chicks, please send to Suzanne! That will really make her Monday morning! I'll try but can't sit watching for any length of time! TY!
LOLLY---I am enjoying hearing about your AWESOME grand-kids!!---Aren't they fun!!---since mine moved to FL--when they were up last time--I LET THEM DO ANYTHING THEY WANTED TO DO!!! ho!---
MORNIN' GLO!!!---GIVE me 10 swats with a wet noodle!!!!!!---since retirement--never know the date!!-----OF ALL OUR FUN TIMES!!!---This really stands out as the BESTEST!!-----FLAG DAY!---OUR FAVORITE EAGLET OF ALL TIMES "SPUNKY" FLEDGED!! Where is SHARON?
I think I figured out how to copy an image. Now to figure out how to send it to someone. I'm using my work laptop, and it wants to connect to the work e-mail that I can't get at home.
If I get anything good, I could always save it on a flashdrive and put it on my other computer, or, send it from work on Monday. I am lucky to get to use this laptop. I am going to have it all summer.
Oh Norma If I could be there I would wrap my own noodly arms around you with big hugs for lots of special moments, thoughtfulness and grace. That is how I see Norma.
Hi Lolly, my 8 year old grandson had a wonderful time eating strawberries dipped in chocolate yesterday. Messy, and I probably should have put less chocolate in the bowl, because he ate every bit of it, but he enjoyed the strawberries.
Even the older kids like those dipped strawberries. One of my 18 year old seniors wanted to eat the rest of the strawberry dip after the berries were gone. It wasn't chocolate, but too sweet for most of us to want to consume half a container. I cringed and said no--didn't need anyone getting sick. Boys don't grow up much.
OOOOH GLO!---You are too kind!!----We all have shared so many--many good times together---I do get close to tears when I remember the 'SPUNKY' days!!!--stay COOL!!
Good Morning Everyone! I have been reading comments while I start my day! Flay Day 2006 - Thank you so much Glo for that very special reminder! I'll just never forget it!
Today I am going to a afternoon Dance Recital and enjoy watching my 4 yr old tap/ballet ggd Alexis! I'll let you know how she does - Well I just know she will be fabulous in my eyes!
I can be pretty soft, I'm sure. When I gave him the dip, I didn't really think about the fact that he would have to make sure every centimeter of the strawberry was chocolate-covered. First thing I did was get him a fork.
When I look at what I got, I just see the adult on the nest. I think I just captured a live link to the site. I did see three babies again. I am sure of that. I will have to figue out how to capture a picture. I know how to copy and paste from "file." I also tried left-clicking, but didn't get a copy option. What else do you do?
Glo, you've been a stranger again!! Nice reminder of your special day....I was 2 yrs. too late, but love reading and watching about it! Jo....how do you do a capture off Finney? Want Suz to see the 3 little ones when she first gets to work!
Thank you, dear Paula!!! Knew you could and would, but thought you were already gone!! Safe trip. Think Deb is due home around 6 her time if I remember correctly. Gotta go get ready to leave for groceries. See all y'all later this afternoon. Enjoy this beautiful day!
I got pictures because I was able to print them. Now to figure out what to do next. They have to be in there somewhere because I transferred them to my printer.
Norma - the mud piles are the nest with the large white egg in the center. When they stand - you will see the egg. They incubate for about 30 days it says. Remember last year when they hatched - then the chicks all group together
Shirley- don't be discouraged but the right mouse click on PRINT just transfers it to a printer that you chose....doesn't really save it anywhere (I don't think) Paula will be able to explain the procedure to us and how she got a pic to send by email to Suz.
JO!---Need to delay FOOD this am---I need to go to pharmacy---hunting 'i-tune cards'---Isn't it cool we (on the blog) know each other's habits!---ho!---
I can smell that bread, Lolly! Yummy! I am out of here now to the recital.. Will check in upon my return..
I've been watching OK eaglet - he did eat in the nest and he is exercising big time. Won't be long! Both cams are up which makes it for good tracking of him!
have not read this blog yet, but for the new people to help you clarify the osprey nests are in Finland, not Norway, the language is Finnish, a few of us have been watching this for years, we call the LAND NEST FINNEY'S SO AS NOT TO CONFUSE PEOPLE WHO WATCH IT,IT IS NAMED AFTER THE ONE SURVIVING OPSPREY A FEW YEARS AGO , the WATER NEST IS FINLAND....usually in off season the sea eagles reside there.....so hope that helps you know which nest is which......LAND NEST IS FINNEY'S.....WATER NEST IS FINLAND:):)
Good Afternoon Everyone in Eagleland!!!!! Finished dwnlding Greece pics yesterday, but last batch was out of order, so spent most of afternoon getting them in order. N0o other editing done yet! Oh well--another day. Vid cam capture takes SEVERAL 'puter steps that I saw compiled a year ago by Skipper on the Hancock blog. Sent to Suz as I know she loves Finney. Or you can buy a capture program. I tried one, but it was a bust & not recommended, so I removed it.
Been seeing a very sunny MT nest so far today. Lolly, you must have cooler weather or good AC to be baking bread!! My daughter near Austin has been chilling this weekend & watching taped TV shows!
Thx Glo, from long ago this AM. I saved the "Spunky" vid in My Faves. It is great!! I play it on 4th of July too! ☺ Gotta try & do some reg. work around here :>( BBL
Well, I have printed beautiful pictures of the little babies. Then, I scanned them into my work computer and can see them, but this is my work laptop and I can't access my messaging system there from home.
I am going to take a break. I did read your messages about Norway and Finland.
this is the info about the FINLAND OSPREY NEST.....
INFORMATION! 23.5.2009 thunder broke the nest camera. Patch can not be performed without disturbing pesintää, so the picture is broadcast katkolla until the chicks ring in June and July, the turn. Chicks expected to hatch in early June. "this is the first time in awile they have actually had osprey in this FINLAND NEST and we are missing it...."
I see you folks have confirmed the three little chickies now at Finney's. Suzanne WILL indeed be most pleased....nest getting dark but when I get off at midnight tonight I will check NCTC first and Finney's Second !
Best wishes to all on all your afternoon activities today, and Prayers for Wellness for our family and friends, and Safe Travel wishes for Deb, Lynn's Mother and sister, and all just catting around locally
Thank you so much for your reminder of this being Flag Day. Your words are eloquent, inspirational, and so very patriotic.
It is such a joy to be part of this Momsters and Dadsters group, and a real treat to have so many new "family members" (and all the "oldies" too ) sharing their good news and wonder on here too ! ☺
..an old expression my Mother would use when she thought we were being tough on ourselves. You're right up there in the confusion batch with the rest of us! It goes with the territory...so many cams, so little time... xoxo ☺ ♥
Thank you, Magpie. I am frequently confused about one thing or another. But then maybe that means that I'm exploring new ideas. Can't be that I am getting old . . .
Just tried to find a message from Dana--she appeared Friday PM & I want to send my Best Wishes and Prayers for Ed's condition and further tests. God's Blessings on all who are/will be traveling--Deb, Lolly, Hedgie's fam. & hope all Helen's fam. made it to wonderful OC!
Read backwards...several of those posting have seen all three !
Great stuff, huh?
Going to work soon, just found out there is a "hostage situation" domestic related in a subdivision in our county....State Police is handling....think it is going to be a very busy shift.
stronghunter when you get back on...reagarding Finland Water nest....such a shame it is down because the sunrises and sunsets there are so spectacular!
No visions of our little Fledgling today that I have seen written about....
By the way: I hope some of you have been catching the view of waning crescent moon and nearby Jupiter in the early mornings in the East....Moon is rising later each morning it's ootching closer to brighter Venus, which is also close to Mars now, dimmer and more orange but visible. Mercury is around too so we have some four-planet mornings coming up! ☺
Yes, Mapie, I would like to see the Finland water nest.
Just came in from doing a little yard work. Turned up the volume so I might hear Hidey. Nothing yet.
Jim, we did see three little ones in Finney nest. I have a printed picture. They are lined up in front of the parent like little schoolchildren. One is a bit darker than the other two, so it's harder to see, but definitely there.
some residents in the subd have been evacuated for safety reasons....
I have to leave for work soon, think 25-alive will have coverage at the news hour, also on the computer at www.your4state.com but not much on there right now about it.
Good Sunday afternoon wishes for all, prayers for wellness, and Welcome Home Deb when you get there! ☺
Good evening eagle buds! Just wanted to jump on and say Hi! Will check back with ya'll after while, gotta go out for a while. I don't see Hidey, haven't seen her all day, but I have not been checking as often as usual. It has been a lazy day!
I have returned home from an extremely long but very fast moving and enjoyable dance recital! Such a variety of songs and dances from taps to ballet to hip hop to polkas - anything you can imagine they did it. I wish I had all that energy!
The Bear is already at Snowman site - Don't know why I think of seeing him at night! Ms Goose has a bonnet and apron on (I think that is what it is) Snowman still in Melt Down Mode!
Hey Gang! How's it going? I usually read through some of the blog late at night. I see we've welcomed lots of new eagleholics to the ranks. I was in Shephardstown for lunch today, so I stopped in to say HI to Megan.
I see we've reminisced about our little Spunky from three years ago today!
I'm watching Hidey's nest and the OK eaglet, who is exercising on the bar, also trying to keep George out of my cheese. Might miss something. Hope plenty of folks are watching for me.
Hey, Sunny! Glad you popped in and told us about seeing Megan. We haven't heard from her in a few days (thought she was just BUSY), but glad to know she is alright.
I was just trying to find an update but can't - I've been thinking about that situation. Horrible when someone 'snaps' unexpectedly and you have to use force sometimes to get things back to normal.
Jo, we didn't go kayaking today, but did go down to see how high the river was. A couple of feet higher than normal, but not too bad. We went to the Mountain State Arts Festival. Saw lots of really neat stuff.
I've been hearing Hidey peeping, but havent seen anything.
You all would have love this! - All the performers were grouping on the stage (about 80+ dancers) Front row was Alexis' group! All of a sudden we see this hand waving and waving and waving! She spotted all of us and so we all waved right back at her - Then she blew us a kiss and kept bowing and bowing to all the applause!
Shirley, not sure where Finney nest is. From what I learned the Finland by water nest is near Turku University at Turku, if I remember correctly, and I didn't think it was an island, but looks out over the fjord. It looks like it is on the SW corner of the country (west of Helsinki) when you look at the map.
Groceries all put away....what a trip that was! $550 later.....argh! had a good lunch out, tho', with eldest.
I am not sure I got the right place. I used Google Earth (free download if you don't have it) and entered some of the words I found among all the Finnish at the site and that is what it showed, but I have a serious language problem, so I really do not know.
Anybody who does not have Google Earth would enjoy it. You might even find your own house. I found mine. You can go to street view and just go right down the street.
Shirley - I am blessed with 7 Great grandchildren from 3 mos to 8 yrs. There are 3 boys and 4 girls. Two are over in Germany (Grandson-In-Law is Army) 4 are in Hedgesville WV where Lynn lives and 1 is right here in Frederick MD (that is Alexis 4 yr old. She is the one who loves meatballs more then the spaghetti!
The wide cam. It is back to aa more normal view now, but it was zooming in and out and showing the sky and the shore. I can tell you that the nest isn't so far from the shore on the side the camera is on. It almost looked like a child was playing with the camera.
This broken leg episode really amazes me ... (bang don't knock on wood) Not so much the healing as to the Doctors ability to do the surgery he did and I just have NOT had pain and much if any discomfort. I have to remember that that pin/screws are in there and not to JUMP TOO HIGH or RUN TOO FAST!
Too bad I'm not the one to be going to pick up the Ger Gang at BWI! I keep forgetting to ask my daughter what she does when she goes through Airport security with her ankle plate and screws! I bet I would need to take a DR certificate with me! lol

Thanks Steve for the new thread!
I yelled at everyone! Guess that was not nice!
I was wondering if that was an egg shell over to the right. I was not sure how large it should be, but it looks like half an egg.

Peaceful morning. My boys are already playing outside.
Good morning Shirley! I need to go to the old blog to see what's up!
Lolly, I missedy your comments about graduation last night. I answered this morning.
Looks stormy at OK. Eaglet is still sitting on bar and looks very wet.
Yes, I mentioned that egg shell at Finney's....
I haven't been watching the site the last couple of days, so I can't comment if it's new or not! Margy would know! But she's sleeping!!
Lolly, sometimes you have to yell at us to get us to listen :)
Yes, Paula, I was responding to your mention. I should have used your name.
PAULA--would you please bring over my last post--in re: artificial nest?
THANKS STEVE for the BEAUTIFUL SUNNY thread!!----ENJOY!!
Finney bird flew. I see a baby!
Shirley, I went back and skimmed quickly this mornings comments. Saw what you said.
Two babies at Finney.
THANKS LOLLY!!---YES!--THAT WAS A NICE THING FOR YOU TO CALL US OVER!!!--
Three babies at Finney.
I saw three little heads at Finney's nest!
Good morning Norma! Being naughty this morning. We are playing hooky from church.
Finney mom is up, can see 2 chicks.
One was just pecking the other.
Paula, I saw three little heads. One is lower than the other two.
Oh, cool! Just read ya'll saw 3 at Finney's. Maybe there was a switch.
Margy and Jim will be happy to hear that.
I saw three as well. Just for an instant.
They are cute little guys with the markings through the eye.
MOM OSPREY is feeding NOW!---I am so HAPPY---I could shout!!---LIFE IS GOOD!!

JIM was on earlier & he predicted
same-----AFTER THE RAIN!
Yes, Paula, I have always wondered about those trees. Either they are very small or the nest is high above them Also, they do not seem to have leaves. An artificial nest? Interesting . . .
I was so disappointed, Paula, when I learned the nest was built by man. It is such a beautiful nest! So huge!
Gonna go find some breakfast! BBL
Lolly, I guess the birds like it.
Thanks PAULA!!---for bringing over my last post in re: FINLAND site!

It looks like there are green trees in the far distance, but maybe they are evergreens.

There are 3 for sure!
Just saw 6 little eyes looking straight at me
Mom Osprey has returned
WOW! She is off in flight again
Back again and all 3 looking up as to say "Where's the food"
Saw all three in Finney, but can't capture it...drat. Wonder how Suz does it???
I can be pretty soft, I'm sure. When I gave him the dip, I didn't really think about the fact that he would have to make sure every centimeter of the strawberry was chocolate-covered. First thing I did was get him a fork.
Finney bird left nest again. I got some images that might show three heads. Now to figure out the next step.
Hedgie - I can't capture it either.
Wonder what time Deb gets in from CA?
Shirley if you got some images - you did better then I did! lol
Did you save them in a program somewhere?
WHOA!!---JO!--I know who will be the 'MOST FABULOUS OF ALL!!---have FUN & don't whistle when you applaud!!!!------ho!
ROFLMBA NORMA
My teeth might fly out of my mouth if
I whistle!
I'll just holler real loud and give her a WHoo HOoo !
I looked at what I saved and I think I just saved the link. I am just figuring out how to capture images from this site. Guess I don't have it yet.
All of you take care - I'm headed to the shower -
Shirley can you attach any of your Finney Land captures to an email?
BBILW before I leave around 1:00...
When I look at what I got, I just see the adult on the nest. I think I just captured a live link to the site. I did see three babies again. I am sure of that.
Thanks Paula. I am still in video confusion. I may figure this out, but it was beautiful to see.
Must do some chores.
OSPREY MOM---off nest--see little ones!
SHIRLEY---wish I could help--but I can't do it either---sorry--
Norma before you go to Get Food -
Check out the Flamingos
Thanks JO!---Aren't they AWESOME!-----But I have forgotten---why are they moving the soil?
I got pictures because I was able to print them. Now to figure out what to do next. They have to be in there somewhere because I transferred them to my printer.

Hi all! I'm back! Beds are made and two loaves of banana nut bread are in the oven.
I think Paula and Deb have special programs to take and save pictures and videos.
I can smell that bread, Lolly! Yummy!
I am out of here now to the recital..
Will check in upon my return..

PS - I'd take a wet noodly hug too !
Thank you for getting me straight on the Scandanavian countries. I do not know why I was confused.
Shirley!
"Don't cry, Ma, you're singin' Swell."
..an old expression my Mother would use when she thought we were being tough on ourselves. You're right up there in the confusion batch with the rest of us! It goes with the territory...so many cams, so little time...
xoxo ☺ ♥
bubbles and bath time for me....back in a little while..
xoxo
There is a story that goes with that expression, goes back to the depression days in Brooklyn NY where my parents were from...
TFN xo
Thank you, Magpie. I am frequently confused about one thing or another. But then maybe that means that I'm exploring new ideas. Can't be that I am getting old . . .
Just tried to find a message from Dana--she appeared Friday PM & I want to send my Best Wishes and Prayers for Ed's condition and further tests.
God's Blessings on all who are/will be traveling--Deb, Lolly, Hedgie's fam. & hope all Helen's fam. made it to wonderful OC!
Hi, again. A couple of notes:
You can see the chick at BWO easily now.
ZZ is on cam and up front eating bamboo at San Diego.
I think Finney has hatched the third egg too... circumstantial evidence, I haven't actually seen the chick yet though.

Jim
Hey Jim
Read backwards...several of those posting have seen all three !
Great stuff, huh?
Going to work soon, just found out there is a "hostage situation" domestic related in a subdivision in our county....State Police is handling....think it is going to be a very busy shift.
stronghunter
when you get back on...reagarding Finland Water nest....such a shame it is down because the sunrises and sunsets there are so spectacular!
feeding at Finney's now - see one big chick sitting up !
Hear a red-bellied WP at NCTC
I hear Hidey !
Shirley, most of us try to keep things straight for the new people
and easy to find too:)
And thanks, Mits, for all of your explanations.
Finney parent was feeding the little ones from a large fish.
Okay Showtime !!
Kid's got to learn how to step on those sticks ! Smacked him in the face I think!
another feeding at Finnney's going on now too
Hidey has finally appeared. Didn't have a really graceful landing either, barely caught the edge of the nest! :)
Asking for prayers for safe resolution of serious police call, man holding a woman at gunpoint....
about two miles from where I live...
I see Hidey. Either my sound isn't working or s/he's quiet. Just looking around.
some residents in the subd have been evacuated for safety reasons....
I have to leave for work soon, think 25-alive will have coverage at the news hour, also on the computer at www.your4state.com but not much on there right now about it.
Good Sunday afternoon wishes for all, prayers for wellness, and
Welcome Home Deb when you get there! ☺
Now, Hidey decided to speak. My sound is working.
He was saying "So Long" Shirley...
Hidey took off.
Magpie, that situation sounds very scary. Hope everything turns out okay.
Maybe he was speaking to all of us. Seems to know he has an audience.
OK bird flopped in nest. Nest cam is working right now. Someone was zooming in and out with the other cam.
So long, friends....off to work now.
xo
Bye, Magpie.
The fluff thief is back!
As far as I can tell, the Finney nest is on an island in the northern part of the Gulf of Bothnia. Is that right?
Good evening eagle buds! Just wanted to jump on and say Hi! Will check back with ya'll after while, gotta go out for a while. I don't see Hidey, haven't seen her all day, but I have not been checking as often as usual. It has been a lazy day!
I see from reading back that Hidey has been in the nest, I am so glad. It is still a while before she will not come back, isn't it?
BBIALW!! Have a great evening!
Good-bye Sissy.
I have returned home from an extremely long but very fast moving and enjoyable
dance recital! Such a variety of songs and dances from taps to ballet to hip hop to polkas - anything you can imagine they did it. I wish I had all that energy!
The Bear is already at Snowman site - Don't know why I think of seeing him at night! Ms Goose has a bonnet and apron on (I think that is what it is)
Snowman still in Melt Down Mode!
Hey Gang! How's it going? I usually read through some of the blog late at night. I see we've welcomed lots of new eagleholics to the ranks. I was in Shephardstown for lunch today, so I stopped in to say HI to Megan.
I see we've reminisced about our little Spunky from three years ago today!
Hugs and prayers to all!
Hey Sunny - I'm Lori...don't know if anyone else in on right now.
Just checking in to see what Hidey's up to and our little high flier isn't in his nest. Must have already had dinner.
I can hear Hidey Peeping!
Hi Sunny and Hi Lori!
Good to hear from both of you.
Sunny - did you go down to the river?
Jo, I hear Hidey, too.
Hi Shirley - I wonder if Hidey is going to come down off the limb and let us see our bird! I haven't seen him all day.
I'm watching Hidey's nest and the OK eaglet, who is exercising on the bar, also trying to keep George out of my cheese. Might miss something. Hope plenty of folks are watching for me.
I think Hidey is about to land.
Hey, Sunny! Glad you popped in and told us about seeing Megan. We haven't heard from her in a few days (thought she was just BUSY), but glad to know she is alright.
Hidey really likes to make an entrance! I am waiting for the drama queen.
Hi, Lori, Shirley, Jo, Sissy, Sharon...
I heard that the hostage situation that Margy was speaking of, is still on-going. (Might be old news by now).
HI TO YOU TOO JO! Would love to have seen Alexis dancing...that little meatball:) LOL
Yes, I googled and found it on MSNBC's site. As of about 10 minutes ago, it was still going on.
Hi Wanda
I was just trying to find an update but can't - I've been thinking about that situation. Horrible when someone 'snaps' unexpectedly and you have to use force sometimes to get things back to normal.
Jo, we didn't go kayaking today, but did go down to see how high the river was. A couple of feet higher than normal, but not too bad. We went to the Mountain State Arts Festival. Saw lots of really neat stuff.
I've been hearing Hidey peeping, but havent seen anything.
Hidey is a big tease - peeps a lot!
Really should be flopping down into the
nest soon......
Jo, I can't copy a link, but I Googled Martinsburg hostage and found a story.
They are keeping some people from going home.
Thanks Shirley - I just didn't know the correct words to google...
Spidey is starting up.
Travelers have settled for the night.
I can see the web starting also
It is quite light out even though it is almost 9 pm here...

I would loved to have seen your little "IMP", Jo. Those are the kind of things that makes those recitals and plays so enjoyable!
I think I love her:)!
Jo, Alexis is your grandchild? Sorry, you have probably said, but I am still trying to keep everyone straight. Haven't started on my cheat sheet yet.
I will keep you all posted as to the arrival of my Germany Gang! It could be as early as this Tuesday
WHOO HOO
Night light is on Hidey! Time for bed!
We just may have an MT nest tonight!
Getting all kinds of views on the OK camera. Somebody is moving it all around.
That is wonderful, Jo. I have one grandchild right now. The potential is there--I have four children.
The OK eaglet looks as large as the adults! I only have the wide cam open
Did you have the nest cam opened?
The wide cam. It is back to aa more normal view now, but it was zooming in and out and showing the sky and the shore. I can tell you that the nest isn't so far from the shore on the side the camera is on. It almost looked like a child was playing with the camera.
Looks like Hidey might not make an entrance after all.
I think tonight we will have Hidey perching up on the branch to sleep.
OK eaglet is lying down in the nest now.
Snowman cam - bear is still there.
Standing now and walking
May be leaving
Looks that way, Jo. I expect it's a nearby branch, though.
Woods is full of raccoons this evening.
Yes. It sleeps flopped down sort of the way Hidey sometimes does--or at least did. Guess Hidey's perching like a grown-up bird tonight.

Jo, I'm so glad your leg has healed and you can pick up and hug those beautiful grandaughters when they get home!
Link to Saline River Valley cam
Hmm, I wonder what that light was off in the distance at Pa. Woods?
This broken leg episode really amazes me ... (bang don't knock on wood) Not so much the healing as to the Doctors ability to do the surgery he did and I just have NOT had pain and much if any discomfort. I have to remember that that pin/screws are in there and not to JUMP TOO HIGH or RUN TOO FAST!
LMBO, JO!
Can't wait til we can go to the airport and set off those machines;)! LOL
I'm thinking that I see 3 osprey chicks in the nest on Wild Watch Cam.
I wish DEB were here to tell me 2 or 3!
Hope she has a safe journey home and will soon be unlocking her door to her home!
Too bad I'm not the one to be going to pick up the Ger Gang at BWI!
I keep forgetting to ask my daughter what she does when she goes through Airport security with her ankle plate and screws!
I bet I would need to take a DR certificate with me! lol
You really got through that ordeal with so much grace and dignity and healed so quickly...you truly had your Guardian Angel with you:)
I missed the light in the woods -
Are you sure it wasn't the glare of an animals' eye?
I am home, tired and glad to be home.
Ankle plate due to a broken bone?
WELCOME HOME DEB!!!
We have missed you soooo much:)
