Norma--
Can't find Suz this morning. I am about to wake Jill and ask her to call the State Police and look for her!!
She usually sends and email if she can't get on the computer--but not this time.

Robyn said...

Good morning Norma, you're #1

Costume Lady said...

CANDY--
Get on here! I don't want to worry about Suz alone. C'mon.....

movin said...

GOOD MORNING, FRIENDS...

It is unusual not to see Suzanne on here early in the morn. Hope she's OK.

Jim

Costume Lady said...

ROBYN--
Do you have a 1hour time difference where you are now?

Keep in mind the Noon time traffic when you get into Huston. It can be horrendous. Depends on where you are going. When are you leaving?

movin said...

Limuw has returned to the nest in the early morning gloom and is calling for food now.

Jim

Robyn said...

Wanda we gained an hour when we crossed Alabama. We should be entering Houston close to 1 but there is always traffic there I hear. Will be back on when we get to our deestination and meet my cousins so they can direct us to the Townhouse where we will be staying the 3 of us.

Hope you all find Suzanne maybe she is re-reading the book :)

Costume Lady said...

GOOD MORNING NORMA & JIM--
Yes it is not normal for SUZ not to be on here. We are looking for her.

Robyn said...

Packing up and heading out till later all be well

Costume Lady said...

HAVE A SAFE--LAST LEG OF YOUR TRIP,

MORNIN' MITS--JO--JIM--WANDA--ROBYN & MEGAN!!!!----MEGAN---I just read about your daughter's hand----I am so very SORRY!!!!--ANY THING I CAN DO???---Sending PRAYERS now!!!!---JOHNS HOPKINS is the best hospital in area!!!---

movin said...

Limuw has had no luck attracting adults with food. Just saw him doing some calisthenics ... stretching legs, and then stretching his wings up over his head.

Jim

floralgirl said...

The hospital I am going to take her to is called Union Memorial in Baltimore. The Curtis National Hand Center. We were going to go to Johns Hopkins until we heard of the hand center. They have many orthopedic surgeons and hands are their specialty. I need the best DR I can find, her hand is a mess, this seems like the right choice.

movin said...

Megan,
Very sorry to hear of your daughter's hand injury ... how did it happen?

I'm praying for the best, as is everyone here I bet.

They'll probably have her back on the guitar in no time.

Got to go to work...have a good day.

Jim

normabyrd said...

MEGAN---Sounds like you have made a good choice!!!---Please give your daughter my LOVE!!!---Will be thinking of her all day!!!---MY BEST TO YOU & FAMILY!!---

Carol_in_WV said...

Good morning bird lovers. I haven't read the blog since Friday afternoon - so maybe this has already been mentioned ... Have any of you seen the Idaho quarter? I got one in change on Saturday. It has a beautiful profile of a Peregrine Falcon on it!

normabyrd said...

PA FALCON ledge--MT-----FIN CHICK'S feather change every day!!----MAMA is in nest too!!!!

normabyrd said...

MORNIN, MITS!!!!----WOW!---How are things at the BEACH?----I can't quit thinking about MEGAN!!!---She seems pleased that she found the UNION MEMORIAL!!!---Do you know how far the hospital is from her home-----

Jill said...

Megan, I know several people who have had to go to Union. Including my husband. They are great.

Drive safe Robyn.

Has anybody checked traffic on Suzanne's route? Maybe she couldnt' get to work because of traffic

normabyrd said...

MORNIN' JILL!!----I keep thinking SUZANNE'S COMPUTER might be down!!!-----Hope she isn't ill!!!----How far are you away from the UNION HOSPITAL?----

Jill said...

Union Memorial isn't too far from John Hopkin's so it should be about the same distance for Megan.

Did you have fun at the track Norma?

MITS said...

Its not that much farther than Hopkins, Norma. They have the Curtis Hand Center there at Union Memorial, its the place to go for hand injuries, much like Hopkins Wilmer Eye clinic is the place to go for eye problems.

normabyrd said...

JILL----I LOVE the RACES!!---I had a good time----Didn't get home until 3:00-----You must go soon---You will ENJOY it----We had dinner there too!!

normabyrd said...

When did she injure her hand?---Yesterday?---Need to go back & read the earlier blogs!!!---Bless Her Heart!!!

Anne-Marie said...

Good Morning all, Yes its Monday and back to the salt mines. If I'm honest I'm back to get a rest. Between grandkids, housework and yard work this desk looks good. Ask me again on Friday. Megan, my prayers are with you and your family. We as parents go through everything from skinned knees to serious injuries. It something they didnt tell us about in OB/gyn.They do wonderful work now days.I have picked a hand up off the floor that dropped off a gurney and seen it sewn on to work beautifully in a few weeks. This body we have been given is a miracle in its self.

normabyrd said...

WHERE IS CANDY????----The STORK NEST is MT----WOW!!!---They moved the NEST PLATFORM up higher today!!!!!----Can hear them!!!

normabyrd said...

Tiny sparrows in the nest now--eating!--Still hear the STORKS!!!--This makes me nervous!!---ho!---They are fairly close to the street!!!

MITS said...

Breakfast at Kent.

Jill said...

Norma, I was tempted to come down and find you Saturday. But I knew if I did they would call me in. Of course, since I stayed home they didn't call.

normabyrd said...

JILL---Do you play the slots?---I haven't gotten into that as much as the others---Did win!!---But quit & didn't put it back in!!---COWARD--ho!----We were in the smokey area----Not FUN for me!!---BUT YOU ARE YOUNG!!!---

normabyrd said...

normabyrd said...

MITS---Both KENT KIDS are in nest eating & MOM is in the tree with her back to them--ho!---(making sure they share?)

MITS said...

I've been watching them, Norma.

Anne-Marie said...

Morning Norma, I'm glad I dont live in Vegas. It may be hot here but it cools down at night. I guess I'm the kind of gambler you are. I cant put it back in. Its just too hard making it to throw it away. I like winning though. We have a beautiful Indian casino here with fantastic food. My girl friends and I go very early in the morning for breakfast. We play penny slots until the busses come in from San Francisco. Then the smoke gets so thick I cant breath so we leave. Then we either thrift shop hop or yard sale. Its a nice Saturday. Oh, I was a nurse for 22 years. 10 years in ER. This is my retirement job.I sit all day.

normabyrd said...

CT CHICKS in nest!!!

Jill said...

Norma, I have never been to the track but I want to go. Nilla said I could go with her some night. Don't they have a non-smoking place? I thought they did. Maybe that is Dover.

normabyrd said...

ANNE-MARIE---I'm impressed that you are a nurse---Mother always wanted me to be a nurse---But I used to faint at the sight of blood!!---But after I had children---nothing bothers me---ho!---Blood--vomiting--poo, etc.----DON'T KNOW ABOUT A 'HAND'!!----ANNE-MARIE---I LIKE WINNING TOO!!--That's why I am hesitate to put it all back in the machines!!!---Love playing the horses!!!

floralgirl said...

You guys are making me nauseaous...

Jill said...

YUCK. Norma hush. LOL. I was going to eat lunch, now I think I will pass.

normabyrd said...

JILL---No Smoke at the Track--You can sit outside too!---This was in the slots----Smoking & Non-smoking---but it all runs together!!--My crew was in-between----Certainly didn't want to separate from them in the slots area---I would probably still be roaming around!!----ho!---OH! YOU WILL HAVE A BALL WITH NILLA----Bet she calls them all by first name now!!---ho!

normabyrd said...

HELLO MEGAN!---Thinking about you--How are things going for you all!!!-SORRY I forgot it was lunch time!!---FORGIVE ME MEGAN & JILL---

normabyrd said...

2 STORK CHICKS are back in nest---You can hearing the other 1 whining!!!---2 CHICKS stop & look over side---but then keep on eating!!!

normabyrd said...

JILL---Been worrying about the missing STORK CHICK-----I forgot to tell you-----HILARY HAS A SCHEDULING CONFLICT-----(can't make it to moorefield)----I know it will upset your Aunt!!!!!

Jill said...

Meant to ask you about that. Somebody told me the other day she couldn't make it.

paula eagleholic said...

Norma - I just got 2 of those quarters in my lunchtime change. They're pretty! I would have thought Idaho potato too!

normabyrd said...

ALL THREE STORK CHICKS are in nest now!!!-----I am DELIGHTED!!!---I know CANDY will be HAPPY too!!---Wonder where she is----Guess her BOARDER is there today!!!

normabyrd said...

PAULA---You mean you don't save those quarters for your grandson!!---ho!---I promise I will never do it again---if I ever get finished with these!!

paula eagleholic said...

Any luck on your appointment, Megan?

floralgirl said...

Tomorrow morning appt. with an orthopedic surgeon, Paula.

paula eagleholic said...

Norma - I order the mint sets!

paula eagleholic said...

Glad to hear it Megan. Positive vibes coming your way!

Anne-Marie said...

In southern Idaho there is one of the biggest birds of prey rehabilitation centers I have ever been to. Maybe Alaska is bigger , I havent been there yet. Its along the snake river and there is a large population of eagles, hawks, and falcons in the state. They are proud of their efforts to bring the birds back to the state. I got some great pictures.

normabyrd said...

MEGAN---Wonderful news you have your appt. so early---Some times getting the appt. can be very difficult----Keeping you all in my thoughts!!!!

normabyrd said...

ANNE-MARIE---That sounds like an interesting place----Did they allow to take pics of the birds they have----That would be wonderful!!----

Anne-Marie said...

Yes they did Norma. My husband was looking for a certain picture for a calendar he was commissioned to do. I was let loose to do as I wanted while he worked and I got some pretty good shots too. They were very nice to us.

Costume Lady said...

MEGAN--
We need lots of prayers from the Momsters. I, too, have an appointment tomorrow morning with an Orthopedic Surgeon for my Mother. We are hoping a cortizone shot will help her instead of surgery.

Anne-Marie said...

You got it Wanda, coming from California . Cortisone is wonderful stuff. It hurts going in but not as bad as surgery. It can be a real relief.

Anne-Marie said...

Mama Swallow on nest. No bur owls. Kent kids, one awol. One owl in Wash. Calif./SF two owls getting some shut eye. All is well in birdland.

Costume Lady said...

ANNE-MARIE--
Thanks. We caregivers need all the help we can get; be it here on earth or from Heaven. Love my Mom so much--want to keep her around as long as I can.
Anne-Marie, you are my kind of person! I love to Thrift Shop Hop, especially in towns as we travel. Always something different and unusual. I once walked into a Thrift store in Virginia and saw a clerk fooling with a bunch of tangeled jewelry. I saw a bracelet in the tangled mess and asked the price. The clerk said I could have it all for 25cents because she didn't have time to untangle it. Got it home and it was all GOLD. About 8 pieces.

Mema Jo said...

******SUZANNE NEWSFLASH*****

Just got a return call from SUZ !!
She is at home after a frustrating day at work due to the fact that she mistakingly left her Computer Card on her kitchen table and could only access the classified sites.

She said she's sorry for all the concern caused but really appreciates it.

Anne-Marie said...

Love it. 25 cents. Wow. I havent been a mall for at least 5 years and I live right behind one. But boy do I love to garage/yard shop. You never know what treasures you will find. My last find was an addition to my mothers silverware. I couldnt believe it. There it was on the lawn of this house so tarnished you wouldnt have known it was Rogers. I was so thrilled. Its all polished now and put with the others.Sometimes I find wonderful things and sometimes not.

Mema Jo said...

Now Has anyone heard from Candy?

Anne-Marie said...

Hurray, Suzanne is home and safe.

Mema Jo said...

Panda Cam 2 Tai is getting his treats out of the ball. Reminds me when he was younger - His mother would always seem to get them first!
ButaButa continued to sleep so I didnt' get to see any action from the little Princess.

Carol_in_WV said...

I read an article online which said the following about the Idaho quarter:

"The Peregrine Falcon, while a noble and beautiful bird, has no particular resonance to the average Idaho citizen. This falcon is found living in the wild virtually the world over; it is native to every continent, except Antarctica. The apparent justification for this design choice is that a peregrine conservation organization based in Idaho is credited with doing a lot of work to save the Peregrine Falcon habitat and population in the American Northwest. While this is certainly worthy work, does it really deserve to stand as the enduring symbol of all Idahoans on our nation's coinage?"

Sounds like some folks are not very happy about the choice. I think that it is beautiful!

Anne-Marie said...

Some people have to find something to whine about. Thats sad. They should be proud.

Costume Lady said...

SO GLAD TO HEAR SUZ IS ALRIGHT.
She usually e-mails that she is OK if she can't blog.--I guess she couldn't this time.

Thanks, Jo for letting us know.

Costume Lady said...

We need to hear from CANDY--
Let us know you are OK!

Costume Lady said...

We also haven't heard from Nilla today. She is spending her spare moments with Jasmine Nevaeh. (Can't blame her)

MITS said...

OK all you thrift people, anytime you want to come to my house to clean out the attic or basement...let me know, the stuff is free

Anne-Marie said...

I'll be there Mits. Any silver?
I'm going to take a short break and walk around the building. (Inside, its over 100 out there) I have been in this chair since 7:30 this morning and didnt take a lunch. Back in a few minutes. Its 1/2 mile once around.

Mema Jo said...

Idaho quarter: We are all bird fanciers and of course the falcon is very very beautiful. However, if I lived in Idaho I would certainly want a good old SPUD on my quarter!

MITS said...

When I think of Idaho, I think of spuds not birds.

Carol_in_WV said...

When the WV quarter came out, a friend of mine in the DC area told me that she had expected to see either a moonshine still or an outhouse on the quarter!! (She always tells me the latest WV jokes.) Maybe Idaho wanted something more uplifting than the lowly potato. Talking about degrading jokes - a woman from Idaho once told me that Idaho gets degrading West coast jokes like WV get them in the East.

paula eagleholic said...

Maybe they should have had the falcon perching on the tater!

LOL, see ya later!

normabyrd said...

SURPRISE JO!----I picked up the POTOMAC EAGLE SCHEDULE at Chamber of Commerce Office----Saturday---
I will send you a copy to check me--ho!----The ORIGINAL they gave me is a copy---not so easy to read!!!Picked out the days left in 2007-------They think OCT. normabyrd said...

GLAD you folks found out where SUZANNE was---I thought maybe their Computer was down----I have been fooling with the TRAIN SCHEDULE & have missed your conversations about the quarters --ho!----I LOVE WV'S quarter---That area & the bridge are just beautiful!!---But we had lots of arguments in our state too!!!---I have missed CANDY too!!---Those STORK CHICKS had an MT nest for a long time & then there were 2--then 3----You could hear them---They moved the nest stand up & down---Last looked it was up high!!
Bet it won't be long before they will fly away too!!!

Jill said...

Nilla was spending the day watching Jasmin, sure she is way too busy to be bothered by us.

Don't know where Candy is bet the boarder is in the room all day today and she can't get in.

Anyboyd else missing?

normabyrd said...

Best keep an eagle eye on Albert lol

normabyrd said...

HEY!!---Is that ALBERT perched on the side of the nest contemplating FLIGHT??

carolinabeachmom said...

Finally Hello Eagle Buddies. Yes the border was here for most of the day. I started to read Harry Potter yesterday, so I did that while he was here. He talks to his girlfriend in Poland thru Skype (?) We have a mic and a webcam so they can see each other.

Glad to see that you found out that Suzanne was ok. I know how you all must have felt.

Took a look at Bob's photos and he has some beautiful ones again. Would I like to take pics like that.

Glad to hear that Robyn and her girls are almost at the end of their Texas trip and made it safely.

Sorry so hear about Megan's daughter's hand. Sure hope things go well for her. Prayers will be with her.

normabyrd said...

HAS anyone heard from our FRIENDS IN ENGLAND?---They are having the biggest flood they have had in 60 years----I hope they are SAFE!!--REALLY DO MISS hearing from them!!!

carolinabeachmom said...

I take it that Albert hasn't flown yet. The dirty bird, and glad to read that the Finland chick had a parent back with it.

carolinabeachmom said...

NORMA Did all your storks fly off their nest today? AND I missed it!

normabyrd said...

CANDY--The STORK CHICKS have really had a time today!!!---They moved the nest platform back up!!-----Looked in once & guess what---MT nest----You could hear them squawking---This went on forever---Then looked in again & 2----Then 3!!!---I was worried---because I saw a dog on the street there earlier!!!----REALLY MISSED YOUR SUPPORT---ho!

carolinabeachmom said...

I am soooo glad that is ok with the nest. They were really ready to go yesterday when the one did. Glad to hear they did today. The one flew again last night and back to the nest.

normabyrd said...

EAGLEMOMSTERS---Print out the schedule---fits 2 pages exactly!!

carolinabeachmom said...

NORMA Did you see people standing in the street like they were yesterday? Maybe now, as it is a work day today.

Glad to hear they are safe, but would have loved to see all three take off/

normabyrd said...

CANDY----They were such "show offs"----One would go straight up in the nest & down & my--how they love to FLAP THOSE WINGS!!!---I wanted them back in the nest!!!---I don't think that one is up to FLEDGEING---Hope they linger a little longer----I WILL REALLY MISS THEM---Don't know if they come back to the nest the way the EAGLES do---Will have to look that up!!!

carolinabeachmom said...

NORMA I don't know if they come back to their nest after fledging either, but that one yesterday left and came back twice.

Anne-Marie said...

Candy, glad there is nothing wrong and you are OK.

carolinabeachmom said...

Thanks Anne for your concern. Our 25 year old boarder was here. I'll be able to get on tomorrow after he goes to work at 7:30 and will be able to get on and off all day. :) I missed you all today too.

Mema Jo said...

Ms 23 yrs of Kindergarten:So you had your nose stuck in THE Potter book all day - what page are you on..Sandra, Suz and I also have THE Potter book... Goooooooood One!!

You had a lot of concerned Momsters and we are Sooooooooo glad you are ok! Someone had guessed it was the Border situation. Norma had guessed Suz's problem was with computers....
She is a Super Sleuth!!

Jill said...

Everybody accounted for now? Except Nilla but I think we know where she is don't we?

Jill said...

Have we heard from Robyn since this morning? She should have been there by early afternoon.

carolinabeachmom said...

Anne,
You must be building up with excitement, as I know all the gals are here, now that you have set the date to come east. Wish I could be there, but I'll be in school again. I'll have my eyes peeled on the album that comes on after it is all over so I can share in it too. I know you will have a blast, and they are all sooo nice. You should love Williamsburg, the Pottery and The shops too. Virginia is beautiful country with a lot of history.

carolinabeachmom said...

Jo I think we'll make NORMA the "Nancy Drew" of the Eaglet Momsters and Dadsters. :) I am only on page 219; remember Kindergarteners can't read very well. :) It is such a thick book. Wasn't going to get it, and I went to WalMart after church yesterday and there it was just waiting for me to buy it, so I did. Not many left and KMart was sold out.

carolinabeachmom said...

Hey JILL, could Nilla possibly be spoiling a new baby by any chance? :)

carolinabeachmom said...

JO I don't see Eggbert. Have you seen him at all today? I see that Albert is still up to his old tricks; up, down, up,down. Have to keep switching cams to keep up with him.

Jill said...

Pretty sure that is the most spoiled baby in the county right now. LOL

Robyn said...

HELLO!!! We made it into Houston before 2pm and my cousin showed me around Houston and how to get to the hospital without taking the interstate. Seems rush hour is spent on the highways and NOT downtown lol.

Meagan I know what you are going through we can feel so helpless but in reality we are very helpful just being their rock. I hope all works out well and since you found the right hospital for your daughter it will be all good.

This was a great trip, we took the Basin Bridge which was 18 miles long and not more then 30 feet above the swamp which was a wildlife refuge. Tori and I saw many birds but hard to tell what they were which we will pay better attention on the trip to Gulfport Ms. thursday morning.

Glad to her you located Suzanne , thought about her today hoping I would read she was well.

Costume Lady said...

THERE YOU ARE CANDY!!
We sure to miss and worry about you ladies when you aren't on here.

carolinabeachmom said...

WANDA Sorry to hear that your Mom is having troubles with her leg. Hope your dr. visit tomorrow comes out with just cortisone shots. Will be thinking of you both and keep you in my prayers, also.

Anyone heard how Tom is doing?

carolinabeachmom said...

ROBYN So glad to hear that you made it in one piece. It sounds as if once you got there you had a wonderful tour; birds, long briges, swamps and all. Praying now that things go well for your daughter. Keep in touch with us please.

Costume Lady said...

HI ROBYN--
Glad to hear you made it to Houston safely.
I guess you will see all kinds of destruction in Gulfport--left-over from Katrina. It was a beautiful city.

Anne-Marie said...

Candy I am beyond excited.I have one way paid for now. Now all I need is time to pull the rest of it together. It just comes really soon after my cruise. Talk about wanting it all.

Costume Lady said...

ROBYN--
It sounds like you will be following the Gulf Coast on your way to Florida. We did that many years ago ( right after Camile did so much destruction). It was a beautiful and interesting drive. ENJOY!

Anne-Marie said...

Robyn so glad to hear you safe and sound. Thats quite a trip. I thought I was the only crazy one in the bunch. My last trip to east Texas and Louisiana was a bird watching wonder. They have so many beautiful water birds. Enjoy.

Jill said...

Hey Robyn. Glad you made it okay. Give the girls a hug. We will say a prayer for Tori. Let us know how it goes.

Anne-Marie said...

Well its time for me to get ready to go home.I need to stop off at the hardware store and the grocery. Its very hot and I really dont feel like it. The breeze is starting up from San Francisco so it will be cooler tonight.May you all find peace in your sleep and love in your homes. Anne

Jill said...

OK Before I forget and start a panic. I am leaving Thursday and won't be back until Saturday night. I am taking the laptop but no guarantee's of a wireless connection. I will check in when I can.

Mema Jo said...

Hi Robyn - just sent you an email! Good to hear from you!

Candy - I have NOT seen Eggbert any of the times I have clicked on that cam....and that has been a whole lot!

Thanks Candy. Heidi isnt any help. She just runs up and down the front grass to make sure no one went potty on her lawn. I have never seen such a teritorial dog in my life. TaTa..

Kent Nest Alert

BOTH KIDS HOME UP ON THE LIMBS

Mema Jo said...

All 3 unhatched eggs visible in the swallow's feathery nest.

Eggbert is not home yet!

carolinabeachmom said...

JO Take a look at the swallow egg

carolinabeachmom said...

Does it look like it has cracking in it, or is it just the nest material?

carolinabeachmom said...

Too late, Mom is back. It stood out there all alone and looked like it had lines in part of it.

Still don't see Eggbert and "Mut and Jeff" are high in Kent tree, hanging out together. They're just two good buddies.

carolinabeachmom said...

I see Finland juvie is moving around but now much. I think it is still early there in the morning. Haven't seen a parent on scene yet.

carolinabeachmom said...

Well, I am starting to see cracks in things. I am going to "crack" up. I had better give my eyes a rest. :) May you all have a good peaceful night's sleep and a wonderful day tomorrow. Tomorrow is a new day. GOOD NIGHT ALL YOU NIGHT OWLS! GOOD TUESDAY MORNING SUZANNE!

Mema Jo said...

I went to bed last night at a decent hour and laid in bed and watched the hours tick by! I hate that.. I got up early bird time this morning So maybe I will be tired enough to fall off to sleep.
Gene has not been on today? Do you know when Anne is coming to Williamsburg? Sounded like a date had been mentioned & I missed it.

Mema Jo said...

I'm just going to hang out awhile and wait for Jim or Paula or Mits to drop by............

Robyn said...

Mema Jo said...

Surrounded by friendly Momsters again. Such a good feeling.

Kent - I think it is Eisteinella in the nest.....What do you think. Whoops don't know now - Might just be Albert showing off for sis.

Fin Chick still sleeping... What time is it over there?

Limuw is not home JUST LIKE EGGBERT

Jill said...

paula eagleholic said...

Sorry you missed Limuw Jo. He was in the nest for quite awhile, guess I should have spoken up!

Mema Jo said...

Mits - I was watching Tai this late afternoon and he was getting his treats from his toy ball. I had to remember when he and Mei would come in and race to see who got the most biscuits that were laying around.

MITS said...

Jo it is 7:14a.m. there, they are 7 hours ahead of us...date and time are on the upper right-hand corner.

MITS said...

sorry 6:15a.m., hit the wrong number:).

Mema Jo said...

Thanks for the Fin time! Explains why the chick is still sleepy!
I don't think I could get comfy in that nest, although he seems to have a pretty good nesting well....

paula eagleholic said...

Howdy Mits!

Good night all! Sweet dreams!

paula eagleholic said...

See ya'll tomorrow.

Robyn said...

Night all. I am going to get querty face if I don't crawl into bed

MITS said...

Have a restful night Paula. Yes, Jo and guess who used to get most of the treats, because Pandas DO NOT SHARE THEIR FOOD, even with their cubs:).

Mema Jo said...

I remember! We felt sorry for the little Prince!

Mema Jo said...

lol Mits, we better call it a day or
just like Robyn we will get a querty face and man at my age I sure don't need that.

Goodnight Robyn! Thinking about you!

MITS said...

Adult osprey in the other Finland nest, and it is a little foggy there. I've noticed that there are times of complete darkness at those site, because the days are shorter and the nights longer already.

Mema Jo said...

Somebody save me - I am rolling off my chair with laughter.......

Mema Jo said...

I must say Good night to everyone

MITS said...

LOL!!!!! okie-dokie:):):)!

I think I will just stay up all night. When I do that they don't call me to work. HE HE

GOOD NIGHT/GOOD MORNING, ALL...

I was late already, but then I got intrigued reading the comments. Now I'm really late for you Easterners.

Suzanne and Candy both found in the same day... That's one for the memory book.

I think the Peregrine (or Moose, or Elk) is more suitable for a coin than the potato (which is not native to Idaho). Or how about something from the Lewis & Clark expedition?

I don't know if California's is out yet or not...probably the Golden Bear, which has been extinct for a hundred years.

I'm praying for those of you with sickness or injury. God bless you.

In fact, God bless you all, eagle lovers.

Jim

Suzanne said...

Good morning, eagle world. Sorry I wasn't here yesterday, I did a really DUMB thing! I forgot my access card for my computer. Without that, I had no access to my computer! Got it today, obviously. Didn't mean to worry anyone! Told Jo on the phone I wish I stayed home to read Harry Potter, but unfortunately had to come in. Didn't realize I didn't have my card till I parked my car in the garage! Bit late then to go home and get it.
No cams open yet, and I'll have to try and go back and see what I missed, but all have a great eagle day. Eyes to the sky, see the raptors fly!

Suzanne said...

Forgot to mention, very chilly at my house this morning, it was only 58! Brrr. But was 70 here when I parked the car. That's a big span.
BW osprey MT, but looks like we have a spider web across the cam! Guess he wants to be famous, and since NCTC is no longer one, he's moved to BW to be on camera. Maybe we'll get lucky and a bird will eat him.
There has been a falcon on the bar in PA since I logged on this morning. Guess they don't want to leave home, or it could even be a parent.
The Finland chick sure is turning beautiful! And big! In nest with parent.
Storks are still hanging in nest. Beautiful sunny day so far in GE!!
Can see shadows in the swallow nest, but too dark for anything else.
One owl in Benicia, been there over an hour. Thought he (think) was eating when I first logged on, now just chillin'.
Too dark anyplace else. Can't wait to see the Kent twins!!! Did Albert fledge? Guess I could go back and read...

Suzanne said...

Falcon was in nestbox, but now standing outside box.
Big osprey standing in nest. Looks bigger than the ones that have been there. Now on edge of box.
Finland osprey doing wing flaps!
Storks standing around in nest enjoying the sun.
Mrs swallow on eggs, Benicia still has 1 owl in nest, and too dark everywhere else.

Suzanne said...

Was just outside and it reminded me of something a co-worker and I watched yesterday morning. The battle between the sparrow and dragon fly! We stopped and watched. A dragon fly and sparrow were facing off, sparrow trying to get the dragon fly for breakfast, and the dragon fly had other ideas. Sparrow would take a step forward (this was on the ground), dragon fly would take a step forward and flap wings. Finally, the sparrow grabbed the fly, and he was having a fit. Sparrow tried to grab the fly and take the wings off. Sparrow finally got the dragon fly and started hitting it on the ground! He was hitting the head! He kept at it for a couple minutes, finally the head popped off, and went flying. The sparrow then could eat the dragon fly. The sparrow finished his meal, and went looking for the head! That was amazing! They may not have the ability to use tools, but they can sure get the job done. I had never seen a bird do that. And the dragon fly was a very big one. Amazing! Isn't nature wonderful? Never ceases to amaze me.
Ok, back to work.

Suzanne said...

Falcon gone. BW osprey still hanging out in nest.

Costume Lady said...

GOOD MORNING SUZ--
Glad you're back this morning. We all searched for you, then Jo told us she found you! Candy was also MIA. She checked in some time last evening.
I have an early morning appointment with my Mom and her Doctor, so I will see you tomorrow.
COFFEE time...

Suzanne said...

Morning, Wanda. Sorry if I worried everybody!
Good luck with your Mom's doctor's appointment... hope all goes well. Talk to you tomorrow!

Suzanne said...

They're doing some construction on the Rachel Carson bldg in Harrisburg. They have scaffolding up and a green net. Wonder if the falcons will come back tonight.
Mrs S still on eggs, Finland chick doing wing flaps in the rain. And it's also raining now in GE, storks standing around in it. wildWatch hotel has an owl in nextbox. The Benicia owl is grooming, probably waiting for his mate. I did see 2 hoodies in the other Finland nest, but MT now. Still dark out west.

Suzanne said...

Oh yea, BW osprey still hanging out.
Forgot to ask Wanda, did Gene ever decide on a name?

Suzanne said...

Some guy is now sitting on the falcon ledge. Wonder if he knows he's on candid camera?

Robyn said...

Good morning Suzanne and Wanda, not sure of the weather here yet but I am sure it wont be no less then 90 today lol.

It is nice to hear the Fin chick is up and moving Suzanne, everytime I watch or hear about him/her they are always laying down

Suzanne said...

Hey, Robyn! I glanced back through the blog, you're in TX now, aren't you? How was your trip?
The Fin chick is kinda hunkered down now, in the rain, and parent is out and about I guess. Sure do like watching that nest!

Suzanne said...

Oh, Robyn, both owls are in nest box at Benicia!

Suzanne said...

Parent was out fishing! Feeding chick now.

Suzanne said...

Uh oh, not a fish. It has a leg and foot. May be a chicken.

Suzanne said...

Thought they only ate fish. Can't tell what it is, but thought I saw a yellow leg and foot, kinda looked like a chicken. They've turned their back to the cam now, can't tell what it is.

Robyn said...

It was a nice trip Suzanne. Made it a point not to go over 550 miles a day. We will leave here thursday morning but we wont be home till after the 8th of August. Going to make this a fun and long trip

Suzanne said...

Wow, sounds exciting. Enjoy your trip, Robyn, and enjoy time with your daughter! She's a very nice young lady!

Robyn said...

Thank you

Suzanne said...

Getting daylight in Kent. Someone in nest, someone in tree!

Suzanne said...

OMG, the 3 storks have been in the nest all morning. Just checked, and all 3 are gone!! Totally MT nest!
