The wolf is part of an education program that introduces folks to a live wolf. It shows that you need not be afraid of wolves, and that wolves make the worst pets you could ever have. They also explain their behavior and natural history.
Jim, you're right, you cannot trust them--they are wild, not tame. This particular wolf is always on a leash outside of her enclosure (30 acres), and has been trained since she was 4 months old that humans are alpha, a big advantage to those who deal with her.

Pretty tired here yesterday and today trips to vet with our 15 yr old Brittany gal. More to be revealed after test come back Mon. or Tues but she doesn't have diabetics.
Dana, so glad to hear the good news about the diabetes. I have had two diabetic cats over the years, and it is so hard to treat them and get accurate readings. NORMA, she went to a PA the beginning of this week, and white blood count was 22,000...way to high. But, hopefully, things will get better, she is also dehydrated, so they will push IV-fluids too.

The Beta Blog Yesterday or the evening before, GLO started reading up on the switch over. She switched some of her programs and they seem to be ok. Asking all of you to wait until we have all the facts and then we can all switch around the same time. I think Glo said that by a certain date we all will NEED to switch. We have to make certain that Steve is doing whatever needs to be done with our Blog. Thanks for your questions & answers are forthcoming.........

Really hoping to spot an eagle in Florida...now that the nest is in the shade for awhile.
Looks like 2 herons or cranes at CT, back in the marsh on the left of the nest.
I was watching them this a.m. over on the right side of the cam.
The way they are swimming looks like swans.
