Juvie in nest has really been making a racket and exercising those wings! I see signs of a real fledge soon! Yes, do hope the other Juvie returns!
Jack has Dr. Appointment this morn. I am headed out to mow. Putting on sunscreen as well as mosquito repellant. Boy, will I be a mess! Lol
Oh, and prayers, please, for this appointment for Jack. Numbers have been good and want that to continue!!
Church bus problems again for Laurel's group in Colorado. Most of the group is coming home today in the van minus luggage. Laurel and Jacob are coming home tomorrow with youth minister, Brandie, and all the luggage, driving the repaired bus. Prayers for safe returns. Men are coming home with kids in van. Wish one had stayed to travel with Laurel and Brandie!
Hi all - home from tennis. Still just 1 juvie in the nest. I can't tell them apart - which one fell first and went all the way down to the ground? I suspect this is the one that fell second but landed in the nest tree. It would have been easier for him/her to hop back up through the branches to get back into the nest. The other will have to fly high enough to reach a low branch of the sycamore before s/he can make it back into the nest.
Gordie Howe dead at 88! We in Canada are sad. We will miss Mr Hockey. He once was invited to be our Governor General, The Queen's Representative. He declined. Travel well Mr Howe. Thank you Sir. Respect.
Thanks to STEVE and LOLLY for tending to new thread details today!
Nice to see one young eagle sitting on the stump and casting a shadow below. Here's hoping it's sib is on a tree branch nearby.
SHAR, don't forget the old adage about all work and no play!
This is a day of remembrance for me as Stan received his grand promotion 9 years ago. I like to imagine him in a beautiful, serene place, free of pain.
Looonnng pause here as Eileen's Friday call came in...
Now time for lunch. Have a Red Friday all!
Prayers for our missing fledgling and for all in need.
Aha, lunch delivered by Belle or Shep and their young one was very vocal in thankful response! Good to see. Hope the other one is getting food delivery, too.
Just signing in for the first time today - I see our lonely little one in the nest hopefully asleep - glad the night light is on. Well it was until a little while ago - Grrrr!
I had a busy day with company - daughter and my grandson visited morning into lunch time and then later this afternoon granddaughter and 4 greats came to see me. So good to see them all. Tomorrow another granddaughter, her hubby and 2 greats will visit. These visits from family are for only an hour or so. Therefore I don't tire out
Thanks Sandi and all for your prayers. My prayers for Vicky's son and for Tori continue.
Here is another prayer request and it is from from GLO for Rebecca ♥ Time to pray for my daughter once again. More surgery on Tuesday. It's only been a few months since the last one. Patches and I will stay home this time. Hopefully this will be a fairly quick in and out Out Patient procedure but it is concerning that there is a stone large enough to require surgical removal so soon after the major surgery she had in December. Thank you for your prayers.
Goodorming my eagle friends. Still only 1 juvie in the nest. :(
Breakfast was delivered to the nest a little bit ago but the parent took off right away. When the juvie stopped mantling over the food, I realized it was a turtle and s/he didn't seem to have a clue about how to get to the edible part. So the turtle shell is just sitting there and the kid is back up on the stump.
Glo, sending prayers and positive energy to Becky for her surgery on Tuesday.
We are headed to Prince George's County, Maryland today to celebrate the 2nd birthday of a very special little girl of mine.
Shirley, I didn't realize that my live feed had "frozen." Now that I've refreshed the page, I agree that it sounds like near squealing and distant squealing. I hope the other wayward juvie is making his/her way back to the nest!
If this is what we think it is, it's a beautiful example of sibling love in the bird world. It really sounds like some of those squeals are coming from a distance. And they are getting closer, I believe.
Good morning to all on this wonderful morning - Welcome back to your nest ♥ Sandi I think 9:47am was the arrival time!!! Have a great b-day party today for your little angel
Such a relief to see them back - not that they will stay that long!
They are kinda picking at each other and kissing on each other, very funny to watch them. I am a bit concerned cause the wind has picked up a good bit. Hope they are not going to do much wingsercising today!!!!
I just missed seeing the second Juvie arrive. Happy to see it.i would think a long nap is in order, but then again these are birds and they do things differently.
Good morning! Heard my iPad and iPhone dinging and knew something was up. Not only was I having to deal with buffering but had to reboot my laptop. I see our two laying low. I imagine that Shamrock is exhausted! I like the way they are staying close!😀
Have of the group in Colorado returned on schedule yesterday evening. 10 remain in Colorado. Parts for bus arrived yesterday to Durango from Denver, but too late to be installed. Plan now is to come home tomorrow. Prayers no difficulty in installing and repairing the bus. Someone should be shot for not maintaining that bus!
No rain all week and yard is looking great. However, south yard with gazebo is still a muddy mess. Maybe when we return from our trip next weekend we will be able to work there, spread mulch, raise flagstones and enjoy!
Prayers for your daughter, Glo. Prayers for you, Jo. Hoping you are gaining strength with each day!❤️ Jack's appointment went well. Numbers have not changed. He goes back in 6 months.
A very GOOD afternoon since our nest is blessed with two juvies, one on the stump, the other in the nest! Crises averted and probably some hard lessons in life on the wild sign gained!
Happy Birthday to little Miss Roberts!
Prayers galore for JO, TORI, GLO's daughter, Laura's church group and all in need!
Yes, the arrival time was before 9:47. More like 9:39 or 9:40. I was watching and there was too much buffering to see exactly when Shamrock actually landed.
Hunger might be playing a role in how long the wanderers choose to stay... In the nest means mom and dad do the shopping. If I recall, the youngsters have to be flying in and out securely before learning to get their own groceries. I think they have learned their lesson about the wind!
Stopped by to say Hi and a quick read. It's a happy place here today. I am so glad for all of us, but mostly our eaglets. So good to see both looking great. yeah yeah yeah
Getting on to say good night. Laurel texted me a short while ago. The bus supposedly was repaired, or so they thought! Bus still needs work. The church is flying 8 of them home in the morning. Two are staying as that family had the cabin reserved for this week. Exciting for Jacob as he has never flown.
Yes, an exciting day watching the cam. Just wish it was not buffering and freezing up. Not fun to watch when it is doing that!
Goodorming my eagle friends. Breakfast was just delivered to the kids in the nest. One is mantling and eating, the other is waiting. It's so good to see them both again and to know they are OK.
Lolly, what an ordeal for Laurel, but at least the plane ride home is a silver lining!
It took us 4 hours to get to Lynnis's parents' house due to traffic, only 3 hours to get home. A long day, but worth it to celebrate with Freyja. Brian arrived in the States yesterday and was able to be at the party. Lynnis and Freyja are heading back to Mexico today - they should be in the air right now. Brian is flying to Texas today for work and then to Columbus Ohio to meet longtime friends at some game convention that they have all attended together since their college years.
Laundry and grocery shopping for me today. I hope everyone has a greyt day! Stay cool - summer has really returned here. Hazy, hot, and humid.
good morning to one and to all. SANDI: so glad you could celebrate the sweet Freyja's 2nd bday with her!!! :) happy!
glad the babes are back in the nest, although we know it will not be for long.
busy day yesterday around here with projects. I will be doing much of the same again today, plus of course, the summer time project of keeping my pool company. lorelei is here today to help me with my projects. the rest of her family went canoeing with the boy scouts and you have to be 8 to go on this particular trip. so she spent the night and we snuggled. it was so sweet just have her for the night. and I had thought perhaps she would not be thrilled with this idea as mommy and Amelia had been away in Washington dc for a few days, but she was most pleased to be staying the night.
thinking I shall fix some breakfast in a min, then get get on with my day!
btw, if you are so inclined; tomorrow is Jaimie's heart surgery. they are replacing part of the aorta. we have to have to be at Vanderbilt @ 5:30 tomorrow morning and his surgery is scheduled for 7 a.m....healing thoughts, love and light are welcomed for him, his family, and surgical/medical team. please and thank you in advance. blessed be.
The kids are still home but sitting on the rim. Hopefully they will stay safe until they can fledge for real! I'm glad they weren't injured while out adventuring...
See our two laying low in the nest. (When the cam is not frozen up, that is!)
Laurel and Jacob are home. They are exhausted. Up at 2:45 AM to drive an hour to catch plane. Plane flew to Phoenix where they had to run to make second leg of trip to DFW. Nothing to eat but granola bars. But they are home. Long story cut short...the Durango Ford dealer did not do correct repairs, left parts out, bus died on way back to lodge. Laurel and Brandi, the youth minister were too tired to each individually drive a rented van home, so fly they did! Brandi says she will never ride or drive that bus again!
Just worked in the yard but it is 91 and humid. Have cleaned up and I am through in the yard for today!
LOL my morning greetings with today's agenda sitting not published
Went to Adventure Island just got back . Had a 60% of rain yep it did rain and we were no allowed on any thing fora tad over a hour the Strom went over us but with the lightening in the distance vwas the reason. Need to get a shower and find something to eat
So, I went out earlier. Planted new grass in the mucky area where mud has covered and killed the grass. Side walk was dry, so scraped up the layer of damp dirt. Thought I would blow it off later. Well. Guess what!! We had a downpour! 7 tenths of an inch of rain In minutes. So, just now went out and swept mud and water off the brick. Thought to myself, well, maybe the brick will be dry I the morning. Wrong! Here came another downpour! Woe is me!
Watching our Eagles. Wind has been scary. Saw an adult deliver food. They were scrambling for it so vigorously I thought surely someone would be falling from the nest...Again!
It looks windy at the nest for a change... The kids are standing at 10 and looking around, and there is a nice fish there for breakfast. Have they been wingercizing this they came home?

This is the second one who fell out.
I think both are males.
Good to see Sharon. You were missed.

Juvie still alone in the nest. Have seen an adult twice this evening. Juvie has been very vocal. Wonder if the other Juvie is close.
Today saw the cam searching again. Also zoomed in very close to the Juvie,
Was so hoping we would have two in the nest this evening!

Hope you all had a good day
Rest well
AOYP and SED xoxoxoxoxo
Vicky reports no change with her son. She sounds very tired. This has to be so very hard on everyone.
Thank You Mema Jo for bringing over the prayer request for Becky and yet another surgery on Tuesday morning.
I too would like to see a second juvie in the nest.
Have a greyt day all.
I see the turtle in the center of the nest.
I also hear loud squealing. Some is coming from the juvie in the nest. But maybe some is coming from the other one.
Really sounds like distant squealing as well. I think our two juvies are communicating.
Shirley, I didn't realize that my live feed had "frozen." Now that I've refreshed the page, I agree that it sounds like near squealing and distant squealing. I hope the other wayward juvie is making his/her way back to the nest!
Very excited squealing continues.
Hi Sandi!
Would love to be there now.
Agreed Shirley. And since it's a Saturday, there's probably no one at NCTC to have eyes on the nest tree.
If this is what we think it is, it's a beautiful example of sibling love in the bird world. It really sounds like some of those squeals are coming from a distance. And they are getting closer, I believe.
Parent arrived but was pretty much attacked by the juvie and took off quickly!
I expect both parents are nearby.
Wow, now the juvie is standing at the edge of the nest looking down! Maybe there's someone down there?!
I did not see the parent. My picture had frozen.
Blue jay.
I've just checked the live feed and have on,y heard the Juvie sitting on stump. Have errands to run but will check back later.
I can watch a for awhile.
Lots of buffering, but I am pretty sure there are squeals coming from the other juvie.
Good morning
Busy week with Jordyn
Kid squealing. Maybe my imagination but sounded like two were squealing
Soccer shortly but will bring tablet
I agree, Judy.
Also sounds like rustling in the leaves.
At one point I can hear but the beak is not opening could be buffering but I am hoping its the other eaglet

Good morning to all on this wonderful morning - Welcome back to your nest ♥
Sandi I think 9:47am was the arrival time!!! Have a great b-day party today for your little angel
Such a relief to see them back - not that they will stay that long!
Eagle Cam posted 3 photos at 9:42am. Both are "layin' low" right now! :)
They are kinda picking at each other and kissing on each other, very funny to watch them. I am a bit concerned cause the wind has picked up a good bit. Hope they are not going to do much wingsercising today!!!!

Shewww wow this wind is crazy and one Juvie standing to close to the edge for my liking! Its scaring me!!!!
Good Afternoon, Eagle Buds!!!
A very GOOD afternoon since our nest is blessed with two juvies, one on the stump, the other in the nest! Crises averted and probably some hard lessons in life on the wild sign gained!

Hi,
Yes, the arrival time was before 9:47. More like 9:39 or 9:40. I was watching and there was too much buffering to see exactly when Shamrock actually landed.
Oops, that should have been "life on the wild side"
I fear with the wind but we know they now how to come back The one keeps looking down at 9
one keeps going up no SOUND for me

Both eaglets still in the nest, well one on the stump
and one in the bowl at 6:05.
Super duper hot and windy again in the nest area today.
We have brave eaglets to be standing on that stump again.
LOL, wrong time! Thought the 6 from the end of 2016 was part of
the time from the still cam. I'm a mess. ;)
LORI on the clock the seconds get me at times

Judy, It is about our Shepherdstown. I unfortunately do not get that channel and am pretty bummed out about that.
