Was coming on wish everyone a Happy Fourth of July weekend. Not much else to report here. Also hoping for a quick recovery of the flood victims in southeastern part of West Virginia. Just terrible what happened. Good morning Jo - I'm guessing your deck flowers are doing well and hopefully bringing you some hummingbirds to enjoy. Take care all.
Thanks to STEVE and JERRY for the new thread and call over!
Another month almost gone...time flies....
HODA, we needed a tissue warning! That is the most beautiful story I've heard in a long time. Prayers that your friend can now experience the comfort that comes from such an achievement. "It takes a village!"
JUDY, thanks for the cam info. I couldn't get it yesterday and made an assumption I shouldn't have made.
SANDI, tubing, what fun!
This is a gorgeous day here with comfortable temp in the 70's. Hope the rest of you are enjoying the same!
JO, we've got you back with our powerful Momster prayers! Same for you, TORI!
Golly, guess it's been a week since I was here! Sorry about that! It's been hot and humid, making it difficult to function normally. Happy to say it's only supposed to be 83 degrees here today, although the humidity is 50%. Supposed to be cooler for the weekend, though. Thank God for small favors!
Oh--a BELATED HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Carol Anne! Hope your day was very special!
Hoda, I'm glad the Dragon boat trip for your friend was a success. God bless her! Good thing I had some Kleenex handy!
I'm trying to figure out how to get some extra water to our back yard grass--or lack of it! We had one of those expanding hoses out back, but when Ken went to use it, the durn thing exploded! Guess a trip to Home Depot is warranted. Meanwhile I'll have to carry gallon bottles of water out there on the days we can't use our sprinklers. About the only thing that's still green is weeds of various varieties. The "grass" looks like straw now. No wonder, with the heat we've had here lately! At least our potted plants aren't looking too bad.
Well, just in case I don't make it back here for a few days, have a wonderful 4th of July weekend, everyone! Prayers are ongoing for everyone. I ♥ us!!
Tomorrow is Canada Day. So happy Canada Day to you all. 149 years tomorrow. Next year for our 150 years we can all get into the National Parks for free! All year long.
Happy 4th of July to one and all. Stay safe and celebrate your awesomeness.
O Canada, we congratulate you and our dear HODA. Good plan for next year!
There will be plenty of siss-boom-bah in these parts starting tonight and continuing through Monday night. I'll be watching multiple festivities from my recliner. Malcolm will be with me n' Penny Sat/Sun/Mon while his family celebrates the 4th and Seth's 22nd birthday.

Our biggest jobs are about complete. Actually, think our big jobs are complete! All our rain this spring created a lot of mess to be repaired.

We are having a cool summer day. That is one advantage to living in PA. We can have those stinking hot humid summer days, but not for months on end.sorry about that Heat and humidity, Lolly.and Judy
I'll spend some of the holiday cat sitting for my neighbor's cats. They are the offspring of my cat Lizzie. They resemble her so much. The only problem is the lock on their door is very tricky. I always fill the self feeder to the top in case I can't get inside. The Borough has a fireworks display that is only a couple of blocks away and will be visible from my house. Last year the booms were so loud, my cats hid for hours.πΊπΈ
Prayers continue for all needs spoken and unspoken.
Just looked at my calendar again. Hmmmmmmm.....says July 1st but it also says Saturday. Don't know which is right, day or date. Better early than late i guess.

Hoda, thanks for sharing about your phone conversation with Jo. I'm sure that hearing your voice cheered her up.
Jo, I hope today is a good day for you.
It has been a busy week here - tennis, beach, blueberry picking. Tomorrow is the boat parade - our theme for the year is The Wizard of Oz. We'll be finalizing the details today after the beach and will spend tomorrow decorating the boat.
Janey was almost hit by an SUV on Thursday. She was on-leash and standing right beside me while I was stopped at the edge of the street, against the traffic as pedestrians are supposed to be, talking to a neighbor. Our roads are narrow and winding - no room for sidewalks, bike lanes, or pedestrian walkways. When people walk their dogs or push strollers, they have no choice but to walk at the edge of the road.
An SUV was approaching the corner to make a right turn and refused to move over to avoid Janey or me. When I looked to my right and realized that he wasn't going to move, I looked to my left at Janey and saw that her hind legs were farther into the street than I was. I very quickly yanked on her leash to move her and the passenger side of the Jeep came within 2 inches of her tail and back legs! 2 inches!! When I screamed at the guy, "You almost hit my dog!" he screamed back, "Then get out of the damn street!" What an awful scare!
When I got home, I immediately sent an email to the mayor, town council, town manager, and chief of police, as well as to the local papers. Our community has been asking for speed bumps and a 3-way stop sign at that corner and the town council members have been dragging their feet about getting things done. I also made a 2' X 4' sign that says, WARNING: My dog was almost hit on this corner! #watchout and stood it against a tree at the corner where the almost-accident happened. You can bet I will be attending next Friday's town council meeting with a prepared statement.
FYI, if you ever lose a fingernail, it's not as painful as you would expect it to be. Your nail beds aren't just soft, tender skin - they're tougher than you think. I know this because I have now lost 6 of my fingernails.
It's a birthday morning for Seth the family is on their way toward a grand celebration for his birthday as well as our beloved Country's birthday!
Happy Birthday wishes to MARGY and JANET---let them eat cake---and lots of it!
SANDI, you go girl! Your activism is inspiring! Good to hear the nail beds are made of sturdy stuff.
HODA, you are such a good and thoughtful friend and neighbor. I love you tribute to the US of A!!! Thanks for calling JO. I'm sure she was glowing after your call---I know that feeling since I've been the recipient of one of your caring calls!
JO, it's grand to know you read "us" and we do appreciate your saving energy for the musts as you work on gathering strength. We love you much and hope you feel the aura of our prayers and thoughts.
Prayers for all in need, including our beloved Country on this birthday weekend and always.
Kay! AKA Marie Antoinette! You be careful about " Let a Them Eat Cake!!!" For heaven's sake the last one who said so did not fare too well!!! My oh my oh my!!! Happy that Seth is spending his special day with you.
Sandi how dreadful! That is a scare and a half about Jenny and the SUV! Good response on your part. Kudos. Nelso gets overly crowded with cars over the summer too! We do not have the infrastructure for it! I knew nails were not painful. Sorry you lost six so far. Pictures, I want to see pictures of the float. How is Miss Freyja spending the fourth? Another awesome day here. Stocking up on vitamin D. YAY
Yes, it would be great to have an occasional hello from those that do not post. They are loved and missed!
Being really lazy after such a busy week. However, Jack just made a run to Lowes for more compost. Maybe I should get busy working! Hee hee
Oh, Sandi, that is really scary about Janey! We live on a dead end street. It is shaped like a Y. We are on the bottom part and cars go way too fast! I have screamed at a few! No leash law, dogs run loose, children ride bikes, people walk and jog. One of our dogs was hit and died. Though that time it was not for speeding. I had been across the street visiting. Rikki went with me. When we came back, she waited for a car to pass but did not see the car coming from the opposite direction. I blame myself! If I had a dog now, would not let it run loose.

SANDI so sorry of the mishap. Maybe your community needs a move over law like in Fl Move over for bikes and pedestrians. Most of the main roads have a bike lane here but many in communities don't soon when passing must go around wouldn't hurt to ask at the meeting
I think I am coming down with somethin . I slept super late and may just go back.
Belated happy birthday wishes for our Margy. I miss her on the blog.
Also, belated Canada Day wishes for Hoda and all other Canadians.
Our neighborhood has a lot of enthusiastic celebrators. Explosions started a couple of days ago. Tonight was particularly noisy. Allie Cat went to the window and tried to see the source of all that noise. I wonder if she will be scared when the 4th comes. It gets really loud around here. I have invited my bowling buddies and my children. We should have fun.
Julie, Doris, and I went to a different bowling alley today. Our usual one was very busy with a tournament and there were no lanes available. Lori, the went today was probably the one you saw from the interstate. Liberty Bowling. I had never been there before, but it was quite nice.
Have read the paper and will be heading to church soon! Having horrendous hot days. In the evenings we get out, walk around the yard and then have to head in fast. I certainly dislike summer! Love Spring! Enjoy Fall! Tolerate winter. Lol
Have a great day! No big plans for today after church. Baking an apple pie to take to Laurel's. Shhhhh...do not tell her as it is a surprise!
Have a great day! πΉπΉπΉπΉπΉGood morning, Jo!πΉπΉπΉπΉπΉ

Wow! I miss a week to do the move - still far from being unpacked - but there's sure a boatload of things happening here!
JO, I am so happy to hear you are up to reading the blog and enjoying it. You are in my prayers and happy thoughts everyday dear lady. ♥
SANDI, six fingernails! Holy spoon handles! I am so proud of your constructive response to Janey's near accident! You go girl. Love that sign at the site. Great idea!
LOLLY, I'm with you on the weather feelings, really do not like heat (especially sweating) at all!
LYNNE, hope you had fun with the grandcats. :)
KAY, are you getting all this rain we're supposed to have tomorrow, Monday?
I'm beat, but really wanted to check in and let you know that we finished the move in Tuesday night and now it's just a matter of unpacking - I am never moving again. lol
Did anyone else see the item on the news yesterday about an eagle caught in a tree by a rope tangled around its leg? I didn't catch where it was. Authorities were called but didn't do anything. A veteran who was a sharpshooter was passing by and just couldn't leave it (reportedly it was about 60 feet up) so he shot repeatedly at the branch until it broke off. Eagle was scooped up and taken to a rehab center and is expected to recover fully -- he was hungry and dehydrated. They showed him in his recovery cage and it was a juvie with a dark head. They specifically said it was a Bald Eagle. Hooray for the vet doing the right thing!
Did not hear about that Barbara!!! All the shooting must have scared that eagle!!! Not to mention the neighbours. Yet I am glad he took action and that the eagle is being helped. Survival rates for Juvies are not too high!!!
Woke up to thunder and rain. Has stopped now, almost an inch. This is good, yard in certain areas was needing it!
We sat outside last night late. We enjoyed our neighbors fireworks! We were surrounded! Yay, glad it was their money and not ours going away in a flash! Big bucks, too! There was a breeze, so it was very pleasant! Sounded like a war zone!
Need to get busy with pie!
Have a great day!
πΉπΉπΉπΉπΉPrayers and hugs for you, Jo!πΉπΉπΉπΉπΉπΉπΉ
Must get on before the fireworks begin! Momster Prayers and best wishes every day for our Leader Jo and all others who have been mentioned, such as Tori. Love to all
I hope the weather cooperates where you all are so you can enjoy your fireworks. I also hope everyone keeps their pets indoors, so they would not run away.
Goodorming my eagle friends. Cloudy here again this morning, just as it has been since Sunday. The parade in Bethany was a go yesterday but the fireworks were postponed until tonight. The sun is supposed to reappear tomorrow.
Judy, I hope you are feeling better. BTW, Delaware HAS a move-over law; the problem is that most of the people who are here in the summer aren't from Delaware and, even if they are, some don't want to share the road with people or cyclists. They figure they're the ones driving the vehicle, that gives them the right of way on the road.
Lori, congrats on getting moved in - it's all uphill from here as you get the house looking just the way you and Kate want it.
Jo, I hope today is a good day for you.
I am headed to Lowes and Home Depot bright and early this morning to buy a new compact refrigerator for the kitchen. Ours died and we really need it for drinks with the extra people in the house. Then I have a dentist appointment this afternoon.
good morning to one and all .... Tuesday. today is Tuesday. (I must repeat that several times to remember!)
we are back to "normal" ..... my gal pals, nancy and chris have headed back to va beach. they were in TN just four days short of a full month. her son, Jaimie, is healing well, still a lot of restrictions from his surgery and will have to undergo an angioplasty in a couple of weeks....still, the pacemaker is a possibility. such heavy burdens for a 17 year old kiddo....
celebrated Nancy & Chris' 1st official wedding anniversary yesterday in addition to the 4th of July. They have been together 13 years........and last year could legally wed!
I had a couple of people over for a "chill and grill" yesterday. it was nice to visit, eat, and relax. The rain held off for the most part, til the evening.....but we need the rain so for that I am thankful. I am thankful for it all.
I hope everyone is well.
I am back to work yesterday. Late last week I came down with a sinus infection.... bah humbug. I am over that now and ready to rock on.
I hope every has a beautiful day. Light, love, healing and hugs for all!
Sandi, what a scare and I would be trembling in my boots if I were on the on the town council when you let loose on Friday.
Judy, glad the uniform sale was such a success!
Happy belated Birthdays to Margy and to Seth!
Janet, it's TUESDAY. LOL! I will have to keep that in mind as well! Glad Jaimie's healing well!
Barbara I saw the story of the eagle and the veteran. Pretty cool...I'm sure the eagle was quite upset by the noise of the shots but hopefully that will soon be forgotten.
It's been very peaceful around here since my FIL is still in GA and won't be home til next Sunday or Monday. Not looking forward to his return. Steve's mom came home Wed and we have been having movie nights and yummy dinners and nice conversations.
The fireworks here were going off in all directions all weekend. Needless to say that Daisy wasn't a happy camper. And you hear the booms 3 or 4 times as they echo off of the mountains. We watched 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi on Saturday and so on the night of the fourth it was the most noisy and I had to come inside because it truly sounded like a war zone and I was getting very upset. I am guilty of forgetting that besides pets, war veterans must have a very tough time with the fireworks as well. No wonder....
The town itself also had fireworks on Friday and we took chairs out to the front yard to watch. Just about 20 minutes into the show, rain started pouring down. Make that POURING DOWN!! We opened the garage and stood inside while the brave firework makers continued right to the grand finale! I felt so bad for all the people who were at the school grounds watching....especially those with kids. It happened SO fast and other than a few drops first, it went straight to deluge!
Thought I would pop in I either got Jordyn cold or my own In my sinus Haven't had a good night sleep until last night I stopped taking the pills and switched to benedryl I get adverse reaction of sleeplessness from as long as I can remember I normally just end up using a nasal spray
On way home last night watched the sky to the west. An awesome display of lightening. Then received a warning on my phone about a severe storm headed towards us. Got home looked at radar and there it was headed right at us! I have never heard such thunder. It was a continuous roar. It scared me! However, just before going to bed, looking at the radar, it looked like it was separating and going north and south of us. We had major wind, branches on the ground this morning, but only 2 tenths of a inch of rain. Crazy!
Happy news re: serene moments for LYNNE2 and STEVE, LORI's in her "new" house, LOLLY's home made it through a roaring storm safely, JANET's friend Jaimie is healing well...
Wellness prayers for JO, TORI, JUDY and any others in need!!!

YAY
Good morning! ππππππHappy Birthday, Margy!ππππ
ππππππHappy Birthday, Janet!ππππππ
Gotta get busy! Have a great day!
Hi Jo! Love you!πΉ❤️
Good afternoon all
Happy birthday to you Margy. Miss hearing your exploits.π
And happy birthday to Janet as wellπ
Heard all kinds of music and giggling last night. Whispers of walkers and decks. And I think some faux eagle feathers were involved.ππ

SANDI so sorry of the mishap. Maybe your community needs a move over law like in Fl
Move over for bikes and pedestrians. Most of the main roads have a bike lane here but many in communities don't soon when passing must go around wouldn't hurt to ask at the meeting
I think I am coming down with somethin . I slept super late and may just go back.
Good late evening.
Wow, Sandi. Go for it. I hate rude drivers.
Glad your fingers are not hurting.
Hello, Jo. :)
Julie, Doris, and I went to a different bowling alley today. Our usual one was very busy with a tournament and there were no lanes available. Lori, the went today was probably the one you saw from the interstate. Liberty Bowling. I had never been there before, but it was quite nice.
Good morning! Happy 4th Eve!ππΊπΈ
Have a good time baking this pie that we must keep secret Lolly!!!π
Hot hear. Last day at the beach house.
Looking forward to being at home. Hoping this is the last house sit this summer.
Love you JoπΊπΈ❤️πΊπΈππΊπΈ❤️
The rest of you are not too bad either!!!!
ππππππ
I'm beat, but really wanted to check in and let you know that we finished the move in Tuesday night and now it's just a matter of unpacking - I am never moving again. lol
Happy Independence Day.

Happy Fourth of July.
Good morning!

Happy 4th! Hope your celebrations are safe and happy, filled with family and friends!
I hope this comes up correctly for everyone -- the eagle was in Minnesota:

This is ABC News story.
Lolly, thank you so much for sending me JO's address! Card will go in the mail tomorrow.
Happy 4th everyoneπΊπΈπΊπΈπΊπΈπΊπΈπΊπΈ
Barbara, that eagle story is all over social media. I wonder if the eagle will be traumatized for life?
Have a greyt day all.
good morning to one and all .... Tuesday. today is Tuesday.
Good morning everyone!
Good morning eagle buds
Thought I would pop in
I either got Jordyn cold or my own
In my sinus
Haven't had a good night sleep until last night
I stopped taking the pills and switched to benedryl
I get adverse reaction of sleeplessness from as long as I can remember
I normally just end up using a nasal spray
And neighbors have been celebrating for three days the 4th now and I am willing to bet again tonight
Got to run and get more sicko supplies tissue and benadryl since I ran out and have used two boxes of tissue in three days
Good morning! Had a great 4th, really enjoyed it!
Crazy!
Going to take it easy today. Yesterday was busy!
Lynne, so happy you have had a few days of peace!
Hello, Jo! Have a good day!
Good Morning Eagle Buds!!!
Happy news re: serene moments for LYNNE2 and STEVE, LORI's in her "new" house, LOLLY's home made it through a roaring storm safely, JANET's friend Jaimie is healing well...
Wellness prayers for JO, TORI, JUDY and any others in need!!!
Time for me to go a-Krogering.
