Hi all. VERY windy and VERY rainy here. Weather predictions are still all over the place. I am now relying on the LOTW forecasting method - Look Out The Window!
Thanks Steve for a new thread and thanks Jerry for the call over!
Thank you Steve for the fresh new thread on this snowy Monday. I hope it doesn't turn around and come back again tonight full force. Our Royal Couple has 'eggs' on their mind I think.
Congrats Jerry on your feather and the info about the Short Visits.
I see eagle still in nest...wished I was not off to work at 5:00 AM. Might miss something good tomorrow. Just got back from outside...little breezy and fine snow...probably 3 inches max here today. Calling for 1-3 inches tonight. Probably depends on storm track. Thanks for giving me a Feather.
Unbelievable just on the news 5 days ago a cat called Bart was hit by a car covered in blood and stiff the owners buried their pet well today when she opened the door there was Bart wanting to be feed His jaw was broke and other injuries but is on the mend being taking care of by the humane society they were shocked also
YEP in for the night JO just posted all pic on FB and the Yahoo album I was blogging and taking pic so didn't post all on fb till now HP pic also on it
oops forgot to turn on the heater in there now just gonna watch the rest of the news while it is heating up I am a wimp to cold rooms and showering I know I would never survive up north
Missed the action this evening. I found a website with Downton Abbey clips from this entire season. I sucommed to temptation and watched the ending. I won't give any spoilers.
Snowing here. Sticking on the roads. Decided not to call a sub for bowling because I don't think there will be bowling, and it would just add one more person who would need to be contacted if it's cancelled. The team can bowl without me. It works just fine. Doctor said I can bowl next week.

I am here JUDIE. Just got in! Left in the morning to go skiing. Then did volunteer work for Kootenay Spirit Festival. Then went to yoga. Then went bowling!!! Ha ha ha ga! True no word of a lie! I had never been in a bowling alley before in my life! It is loud there. The Dragons were having fun. Tomorrow, skiing, Pilates, yoga and volunteer. Life is good. Talk later. I love Us.
I saw an eagle on the nest a few minutes ago , but lost the connection. It was just standing near the trunk of tree looking around in the wind.
Judie, how fortunate that you have teenagers in the neighborhood willing to help with the snow. I have young men of 19 and 21 living on either side of me who I have been unable over the years to interest in earning a little cash. I am old fashioned, I guess, but my children were helping out around the house and working for neighbors as a part of growing up. These are able bodied guys whose parents say" oh, he isn't interested in yard work", and Dad is out mowing the yard, shoveling snow, painting, etc. ok, my rant is over.
I do have a resident teen. Haven't said anything to him yet, but there really isn't much snow to shovel. I hope roads will be okay when I venture out to see the dermatologist in awhile. Appointment is not until 1:00.
Have a good appointment Shirley. Be careful if the streets are slickery.
Our community has a directory of residents and it contains a list of "teen" services such as shoveling, baby sitting, pet sitting, etc. Nice to have these teens help out.
Bored so doing a little laundry. Will read this afternoon.
Good 28° cold morning to all ♥ Very happy NOT to see Belle in the egg cup this morning. Winter is upon us so I don't know when it will warm up in order to melt the snow in the nest. There are reports of Belle coming in with a fish this morning and eating in the nest.
Everyone stay as warm as you can and no slipping and falling down wherever you go.
Empty nest now. Hi Judie - I am trying to make this my first full season of Eagle. So far I can watch on my phone. When it switches to color the Cam goes spotty. On black and white no. Hope I'm adding something to the Blog. I have a lot to learn. So far I enjoy watching the morning light come over the nest...when schedule allows.
Good morning! Whoops! Jack is already outside and here I sit! Gotta get a move on! 66 and sunny, hope to finish leaf raking and blowing today. Hip hip hooray, but not unless I get out there!
Where did the morning go? Penny slept til' 8:30 today and so, of course, I did, too. Wow, she went to bed at 7 last night--she goes to her crate about that time every night, on her own! What a great dog!
JERRY, you are contributing much by being here with us! I wish more of our Dadster's were regulars. Especially at this time of year we need all the eyes we can get trained on the nest by people willing to report any action!
JO, time flies and Elliot just gets cuter by the minute! No babies in the foreseeable future for my family, so I thoroughly enjoy getting virtual baby fixes here!
JUDIE, glad your young neighbor came through for you! I'm thinking a go getter with a shovel can rake in a lot of cash in times like this.
LYNNE1, agree with your "rant"! I had working kids and now grandkids, too. Cannot understand sloth.
Schools back in session here, but my road does not look inviting, so Penny and I are hunkered down. Usually have Malcolm on Tuesdays, but his paper training will come in handy at his home today.
Son Lee says Rutger's closed til' tomorrow so he and Beth are home, but grandson, Cooper, had to go to his job at Eastern Mountain Sports. They only got about 3 inches overnight, but it was on top of an earlier snow. Anyway, not the blizzard predicted for their part of NJ. Wonder how PAULA's son is faring in his part of that State?? Would like to hear from her more often!!!
SANDI, relieved to hear you didn't get a blast of snow either--on the other hand, too bad school wasn't cancelled.☺
SHIRLEY, you are about to leave for the dermatologist's office. Routine check up or do you have more trouble spots to be treated? Hope you find the roads passable or turn back if you don't!
HODA, speaking of sloth--" skiing, Pilates, yoga and volunteer". Is that all you plan to accomplish today? Shame on you!!! You are in inspiration to your "fellow" retirees---well, at least I'm inspired to say I admire your stamina!!!
Good CLEAR morning I hope for all. So glad to see Sandi is still in place! Last night on TV it was really scary how they spoke of hurricane winds maybe blowing water in at NJ,NY, etc shores. We came in 2 hts. late here at the Park, but I think that was our Director's decision. Good for her emails in AM.
One of those weeks--every day off interurpted w/ Dr. appts.
Elliot is scheduled at Children's Hospital in DC on FEB 3 for his tiny hernia. Jenny is going to drive them down the day before and we have arranged lodging that has shuttle service over to the hospital in the morning! Thanks for Prayers of successful surgery and speedy healing! As I said once before Elliott is not in pain. Love you all for taking care of the Prayer Power and Good Vibes for Elliott. ♥
Oh, LYNNE2, you knocked on the door about 20 minutes ago and no one has welcomed you back! Come in, please! We miss your daily presence here on the blog!
JO, I love and agree with JUDIE's sentiment "We've got baby Elliot covered in blankets of prayers." You've made some nice arrangements for the kids and I'm sure they appreciate that so much! You are a great Grand-Meme, that's for sure!
Time to address envelopes for the thank you's I've just written.
Thanks for the Eagle reporting! I love knowing Belle and Shep have been around--it sure looks like they're getting down to business!
Oh, is anyone watching the nest in Havover, PA at Codorus Park? That is SOOOOO close to me! The cam is great but no night vision. The pair has just started bringing yummies to the nest to eat and are actively nestorating!
Ok, let me hear it....three cheers for leaf raking complete! Hip Hip Hooray, Hip hip Hooray, hip hip hooray. And, I am exhausted. Going to take some Advil, take a shower and call it a day!
Oh, there will be a little more clean up as the season progresses but that is about it until spring. And, speaking of spring...I found a few daffodil buds!!!! Yep, in a couple weeks we will be blooming! My flowering quince has leaves!! So, those of you covered in snow...there is hope!
Lynne, thank you for honoring us with your presence!
Back from dermatology office. The doctor wanted to check a few spots on my face. She froze them. All is well.
Got my house number problem solved. I wasn't sure how we were going to fasten the numbers to the house easily, so I bought a plaque
EAGLE!!!
and some self-adhesive numbers. That way, I could attach the numbers in the warm house. Then I fastened the plaque to the pickets on my porch rail with wire. Job done. Did not have to be outdoors long.
just got the reminder call as I was undressing and getting in to comfy cloths for the evening so happy she called before I disrobed all the way LOL TTFN
Kathryn and Hunter are fixing dinner. I am in the recliner.
Just got asked, "How many teaspoons in a tablespoon?" Yeah, I know that--3.
I was going to make tacos, but got home to find Kathryn making a chicken dish. That is just dandy with me.
She has been busily collecting coupons and arranging them in a notebook. Also finding recipes. That's dandy, too. And teaching Hunter stuff about cooking. He is using the electric mixer and just figured out a light weight plastic bowl with a non-rounded bottom is not a good bowl for using the mixer.
All is well Jo, just busy. Worked a lot of extra hours over the Holidays and beyond, have had some rescue cockers here to get out and have some fun, our donkeys have bad feet and I have to clean and medicate them every day. Not easy with my back. Can't wait for the farrier to come and see if we are making progress.
My health has been fine except for my back. Have been going to PT for some time, it's helping a little, especially the traction. BUT, it's not getting better. So I am now no longer in denial that surgery will be in the near future. It's become VERY unstable!
So sorry you are cold LYNNE2 We aren't bad now 63° under wind advisory still for surf etc Lo 40 for the next two night but gets nice during the day I won't complain
Thanks Shirley. I'm still functional but slow and careful. The pain isn't so much constant as it is sudden, severe, and brief. It's happening a LOT now. UGH! And my legs hurt and my right one goes numb from the hip which is really weird! If I were a horse, they'd shoot me!
LYNNE2 do you sleep with a pillow in between you legs I get the same pain and I sleep on my side with a pillow its a body size pillow cut in half the length ways I love it When I don't use it I get the numbness in that area Hip issues lower back but I do find relief that way My pillow is almost tall as me looks like someone in bed when I make it But it looks like a body pillow but half the size in width
you sound like you have a nerve that is getting pinched Hope you get better and releif soon
off to TV land for a bit Mind numbing is what I need to get my mind off something that is bothering me and I know it shouldn't need to shake it off but its hard
Lynne so sorry about your back. Not fun! I used to have severe back problems but they have just gone away. Now I am just careful and try not to overdo. I really think it was teaching little kids was doing me in, bending over all the time. Also, stress did not help.
Finished a jigsaw puzzle I started two weeks ago. Yes, it was that hard! Skippi did not bother it even when we were gone.
78 today and heading to 80 tomorrow. Do not like that, too warm!!
Birthday shopping tomorrow for Zacharooski! He turns 9 Sunday. So hard to believe!
Have a problem. There is a stray kitty in our area. She has been at our neighbors. They have 3 dogs and two in the family are allergic to cats. They brought it over Sunday to see if I knew the kitty. Sweet little kitty about Skippi's age. She purrs and wants to be held. We went out to sit after we finished the raking and here came the kitty. She jumped onto my lap and settled and she also did that to Jack. It is breaking my heart an not sure what to do. Carmen said they are feeding it but can not keep it. Thank goodness we are having good weather! I'll try to find out tonight what Carmen and Todd plan to do.
Goodorming my eagle friends. 23 degrees this morning with a wind chill of 6. Brrr!!!
Lolly, would you consider keeping the stray? Skippi's young - she might adjust easily. That would make for 1 kitty per lap! As much as Denny didn't want Jenni at first, she loves him - sits in his lap every night at TV time. Bella only has eyes for me, so it's a perfect situation!
Judie, how goes it with your new residents??
Lynne2, it was great to see you on the blog yesterday! Sorry to hear about the ongoing back problems.
My observation is at 8:30 this morning - I really am not stressed at all, since it will be my very last (paras don't get observed).
Prayers continue for Thelma as she transitions to outpatient therapy and for Shar, her caretaker at home.
Can't get the camera to come up for me this a.m.--anyone else having trouble?
Still frigid here, but with bright, mood lifting sunshine. Must go to Kroger this afternoon as Kay's Doggy B&B reopens tomorrow. Malcolm will arrive about noon and stay til' Sunday evening.
SANDI, so happy this is a stress free "observation" for you! Looking forward to your para days right along with you.
Watched the Budweiser commercial. Also heard on the news that GoDaddy has pulled the puppy ad scheduled for Superbowl. Good decision IMHO.
Sunshine on the nest and sunshine on my house. Nice! Still very cold.
Shirley, have a good therapy session for your knee.
Kay, like your description of your abode. Maybe a sign on your front door "Bowser B&B: Please wipe paws before entering".
Hope Sandi has a great day.
Have a woman from the rescue center coming to visit on Saturday. Hopefully, we can figure out what is going wrong and what to do. Deeply upsetting for us.
The live cam opens for me. Does occasionally go blank but just start over. Sunshine on the snow in the MT nest.
Live cam - I can only keep it up/running for about 13 - 15 seconds when I first opened it - Now it is staying up/running a bit longer. I haven't seen our eagles but from the looks of the center of the nest they have been there. Not sure what the 'clump' is up at 12 position.
Howdeeeee! Jack and I went shopping for Zach. Got him a TCU jersey that will be too big, but he will like it. Also got him a book. Sigh.....wish he was not so hard to shop for. Oh, well! Other boys are easy!
Going to the movies in about an hour, Hobbit movie!
Have not seen kitty today. Really, we are not considering another kitty. This one is used to the outdoors and we are not planning on letting Skippi out. I could see problems there, letting new kitty in and out? Also, we travel, would be so expensive to board two kitties. Although Skippi might be happy with a companion.
Presently 79. Hot outside but the house is very cool. Cooler weather and rain predicted for this weekend.
Sandi, did you see the picture of Laurel's wine glass? The team had an awful parent conference yesterday. It was especially bad for another teacher, one who does not drink but considered it yesterday. Lol. Laurel posted that picture for her.
I think I am all alone LOLLY left and I looked on the blog map and it only has me ENJOYING a long long visit by our royal couple still there just looking around now
I'm still here I just don't want to comment each and every move because when I see you here Ms JudyEagle I know things are covered! You are a blessing to us all.

Good morning all. Getting ready to start work soon. Will check at first break on reports. Got more snow overnight and was snowing at 4:30 AM.
Goodorming Jerry and all my eagle friends. It's cold out this AM but there's not even enough snow to call it a dusting! Not even a delay on schools!
nest is dark as a dungeon - can't see snow or eagles on it!
Have agreat day all!
Good Morning Eagle Buds
sure wish it were lighter at the nest curious of someone spent the night
Good morning,
No, Judie, I do not plan to bowl today. There will probably not be bowling because of snow, regardless, I will not go.
Hoda's first trip to a bowling alley! Yes, it is noisy there.
Must check the nest.
I saw two eagles at the nest--they just poofed. Had a little trouble getting both screens up, but finally managed.
No school today for Hunter. I think I will go back to bed.
So, Hoda, did you try your hand at bowling?
Checked the nest just now. No eagles in view, but the sun is shining on the snow there.
Thanks for reports. I'll check again on lunch break.
Good morning.
Ah, Sandi. Had we known, those with snow would certainly have shared. Hope the school day is a good one.
It really is nice to see Jerry stopping by in the morning.
MT nest but did see little eagle feets marks.
Hoda, thank you for sharing. I am now tired enough to go back to sleep. lol Have another fun day.

Shirley's medicals have reminded me I need to schedule an appointment with the ophthalmologist and the dentist. So, maybe after the snow goes away.
Hi Lynne2. Nice to see you stopped by. Hope all is going well for you and Steve.

Lynne 2 - glad you stopped by - we do miss you on here. Hoping all is well and so happy your health has been good...
Blackwater nest have very little snow
Time for me to now vote on some items over on FB
TV sounds like nothing good to watch this evening. Maybe some new program,
BBL
2 eagles in the nest! landed about 5 minutes ago, about the same time.
Poof 1! Sure am glad I'm not an eagle - it looks cold and not at all comfy in that nest this evening!
MT nest!
Oh, I was confused, Jo. Not an eagle plaque. I saw an eagle in the middle of posting the message.
An eagle plaque would be really nice. Wonder if I could get an eagle to put on it?
Kathryn and Hunter are fixing dinner. I am in the recliner.
Just got asked, "How many teaspoons in a tablespoon?" Yeah, I know that--3.
I was going to make tacos, but got home to find Kathryn making a chicken dish. That is just dandy with me.
She has been busily collecting coupons and arranging them in a notebook. Also finding recipes. That's dandy, too. And teaching Hunter stuff about cooking. He is using the electric mixer and just figured out a light weight plastic bowl with a non-rounded bottom is not a good bowl for using the mixer.
back again!
Oh Shirley, another story for the future book...The Hunter Files. LOL!
Holy moly it is WINDY and COLD outside! Even Daisy wanted to come in fast!
So sorry you are cold LYNNE2 We aren't bad now 63° under wind advisory still for surf etc Lo 40 for the next two night but gets nice during the day I won't complain
I don't mind the cold so much as the brutal wind! VERY glad to be here and NOT in New England though!
So sorry you are having so much trouble with your back, Lynne2.
How is your knee?
LYNNE2 do you sleep with a pillow in between you legs I get the same pain and I sleep on my side with a pillow its a body size pillow cut in half the length ways I love it When I don't use it I get the numbness in that area Hip issues lower back but I do find relief that way
My pillow is almost tall as me looks like someone in bed when I make it But it looks like a body pillow but half the size in width
you sound like you have a nerve that is getting pinched Hope you get better and releif soon
off to TV land for a bit Mind numbing is what I need to get my mind off something that is bothering me and I know it shouldn't
need to shake it off but its hard
LOL Shirley Sorry about not understanding the Eagle Alert!
Perhaps you can find an eagle plaque!
Too funny !
Going to see what this Hallmark movie is about and hope it is a new
one to me.........
BBL
Almost time or lights out.
Lynne2, so sorry about the continued pain in your back and leg. Surgery may be the most successful answer for you. Hope the donkeys will be better.
Doing a bit more reading. Well, I was until the Sandperson starting tossing stuff around in the closet. Guess a satchel is being stocked.
Headed for the pillows early. Restful sleep for all.
heading to the TV to watch Hallmark movie we recorded about swans from Sunday night....
See you all soon!
Goodnight to all ♥
Lynne so sorry about your back.
PJ time! Night all! SED!!
Yawning.
Knee is healing, Lynne.
Sounds like a very sweet kitty, Lolly.
SED.
Stay warm, everyone.
Have agreat day all!
Good Morning Eagle Buds
good morning all. have a lovely day
Good morning,
Nest is empty, except for the remaining snow. Sunshine there.
Physical therapy this morning.
Good morning all. Empty nest. Will check back later.
Good Morning Eagle Buds!!!
Have a super duper day All !
Love and prayers for all in need!
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Good morning to all ♥
I just watched on FB the new BUD commercial with the little pup - Happy tears..
KAY both my cams are up/running.
Close down and start up again maybe
https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10152521276036688&set=vb.52880441687&type=2&theater
Perhaps if you copy/paste you can see the commercial.....
Good morning.
Have a good day everyone.
1207 PUNCH ON LUNCH
WOW quite day on the blog all caught up that fasst
good afternoon! It's a sunny, snow blinding day in these parts!
Judie, what's going on? about the rescue, I mean.
Live cam - I can only keep it up/running for about 13 - 15 seconds
when I first opened it - Now it is staying up/running a bit longer. I haven't seen our eagles but from the looks of the center of the nest they have been there. Not sure what the 'clump' is up at 12 position.
Hi Jo. Looks as if the "thing" might be a clump of flugg or maybe just a shadow. Sounds as if someone might be tap dancing in the attic.
Still sunshiny here. What a lovely sight.
Yes, Judie - I am thinking flugg clump.
EAGLE ALERT
EAeagleGLE
Windy at the nest
Sound will blow you away !
One eagle sitting at `10 position
my puter had the spinning blue and not responding eagle spelled wacho
and I cant get live up either
nice size fish in talon
got cam up now
What we were thinking was a "Flugg Clump" I am now thinking it is just the snow in the egg cup and earlier the shadow made it look different. ?
something is making noise on the camera housing hear it beside winds
I really think waiting for a dinner partner hanging on to the fish
walking fish to launch pad and eating now
I hear a eagle
Funny seeing the eagle walk across the nest while holding that fish! A nice meal there!
two now
Dinner partner has arrived
Both in the nest
Belle said I waitied long enough you were late tough LOL
that has to be a stick hitting the cam I still hear it and both are in nest

Watching on my iPad. Then I realized I could comment with my phone! iPad is running the cam nicely!
Happy to seethe snow melting and sunshine on the nest and Belle.
Here is lover boy back

Have been watching our eagles - that is one huge branch Shep brought in!!
Really doing nestorations
At least they have full bellies
Playing pic up sticks! lol
Our eggs can't be too far away
Fun watching both! How about some hp?
Leaving in a minute. Have enjoyed this long visit!
I think he needs to do his chores first LOLLY LOL
Sandi, did you see the picture of Laurel's wine glass? The team had an awful parent conference yesterday. It was especially bad for another teacher, one who does not drink but considered it yesterday. Lol. Laurel posted that picture for her.
Leaving! Enjoyed this visit!
two statues still there
I think they are waiting for some privacy LOL
Do you all hear the noise on the came or is just me besides the wind sounds like clanking
back to nestoration they are

I see our eagles!!
I'm still here
I just don't want to comment each and every move because when I see you here Ms JudyEagle I know things are covered! You are a blessing to us all.
They have been there since 429 SHIRLEY nice visit only left once and came back
don't you remember when we use to that in the early hours of the morn with LORI and we would bold it also LOL
I just logged on a few minutes ago and went straight to the cam because I knew it was prime time for eagle visits.
and I loved it when LORI would do a run down of the visit she would take notes and then type all the activity in one post and that was many moons ago
29.5° and it says wind gust up to 3mph - From watching the neck feathers moving - I can agree with that.
Moon was out bright last night - Full moon Feb 3.. Not far away.
Thur. there is a chance of rain but 36°
Belle usually stayed a night and then within the next night or two we had an egg....... EGGCITING
