it snowed Friday night as most of you who are on facebook know! I was out walking and dancing around in it. we seldom get a "good" snow here and this was big fluffy flakes falling heavily! Jo, I didn't get a reminder in my inbox that today was Kay's birthday.
Happy birthday, dear Kay!!! Enjoy your special day!!
Off with denny to take the dogs for a long walk - will be taking my binoculars. When I was there on a school field trip last fall, an eagle flew overhead.
Back when I was a teacher at Stafford High School, we had a fun custom. When it started snowing while we were at school, we would place bets on what time we'd be dismissed early for snow. Everyone put in a quarter and bet on a time. The winner, of course, got the quarters.
I always thought teachers were crazier than students when it came to snow days.
I do remember the day I took my students on a "field trip" to find a window so we could see if it was snowing. It was a very small class, and they were all begging me to write them a pass so they could go check for snowfall. We were in a windowless classroom, so we all went sneaking to a window for a peek. I directed them away from the administrator's office. And, yes, it was snowing.
Back many years ago, I had a teacher friend who went out a window with her whole class to have a snowball fight in the schoolyard. I would never have had the nerve to do that, but this friend managed to get away with the most outrageous things.
Good Morning Eagle Buds!!! Though it may be afternoon by the time I get this posted.
Yes, dear LINDA and I share this birthday date! I've sent her an e-card and hope to hear from her. I wish she would return to the fold. Hope those horrible headaches are not what is keeping her away. She'll be gearing up for tax time now---too bad her busy time of year coincides with our main eagle watching months.
So, ♫♫ Happy Birthday to you, dear Linda, Happy Birthday to you ♪♪♪
Thanks for all the good wishes, my dear Momsters and Dadsters!!! I've had a birthday spread over three joyful days and feel so blessed!
Penny and I just returned from a long walk. As we approached home it began to sleet. Glad we got the exercise in just in the nick of time.
NBC has honored me ☺ with 2 days of competition ice skating! Wahoo!
Thank you, JUDY! And how do you create those great designs? I love that you call me KKay--it always reminds me of that dear old friend in AZ who always called me that. I'm not saying anyone else should take it up---it's a special love thing twixt me n' JUDYE!!!♥♥♥
Kay, these cute things 🍏🍦🍭🍒🎂😻🎉and many many more are available on my Apple iPad and phone. I dont use my PC very often anymore and I don't think they are available there..
Well, Shirley, the sun it smiling right now but we are supposed to get 1"-4" of the "s" stuff. HOWEVER, as I went foraging for cat food, I suspect that will result in no snow. lol
Happy Birthday to Kay. Glad you and Penny had some exercise time together.
So interesting that Janet had so much fun in the Nashville snowstorm. Clearly she has never lived in OH. lol
Shirley, I can only imagine your antics on snow days. I can only imagine I would have been the teacher going through the window with students for a snowball fight.
Headed to put my feet up. Sun has disappeared. Snow sky now.
Home from work and see a snow mt nest Yeah and read that she may have spent the night in the nest I knew she was there at dark that is a good sign just hope the snow stay away
I wish it to be rain and not 2-4" of snow..... A little precipitation out there now. Kids finally brought over the flat TV screen for the b-day guy! They are having fun programing it but it is like father, son, daughter-in-law, and 2 grandsons. I had to leave the room LOL
Kay I alawys say KKKatie at work also to a friend of mine and one day I got in sort of trouble (just was told not to write that again) I put up the K cups on the rack and left a now Judy L cart to do KKK cups of course only one person thought the bad thing I told that person they had a bad mind LOL being I always say KKKatie they didn't respond I just don't write it anylonger
and the graphic I just copy and past from my file I have
3 min visit that isn't nice LOL thought for sure she would be back Just teasing us last night So glad SANDI saw her in the nest at dark this am Getting in gear I guess Practice makes perfect
We got a inch of rain with this cold front We have another heading our way again with more rain Sarasota had tornado warnings yesterday That we can do without 55° out now so funny two days ago in shorts and not its chilly and people were dressed in winter attire more that I thought should be in I only wore a light sweater to work
good evening to all. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO KAY! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO LINDA!

Downton Abbey was good - lots of new scenarios - fast paced is all I can say! Judie you should be able to watch again as it runs again and again until next Sunday's new one.
Shirley I wish it would all be rain! I guess we'll know when we awaken in the morning.
Cleaned and polished the trailer and returned to it's home. Also mopped some floors after Jack vacuumed, but then I sat down and read between naps today.
Gotta check FB to read the latest weather forecasts. Yestrday they were saying HURRY! Get to the store - a blizzard is coming to DE! By last night, all the forecasters were backing away from their predictions.
I caught a couple of minutes of our royal couple just now. They both had snow on their backs and the nest looked as though at least one of them had been there a while as no snow showing in the egg cup area.
Good morning to all especially you early birds. ♥ MT snowy nest except I can also see the slightly dry egg cup. Sure hope Belle uses her best judgement when picking her egg laying day. The snow coming down is very very fine and the crazy wind is blowing it all around. Nasty day.
More snow than expected here overnight, on top of a sheet of ice since it rained yesterday afternoon. Penny and I are keeping our powder dry today!
I'd hoped for a birthday egg, but alas, our nest is MT! Just wishful thinking as I knew it was too early.
Again, thanks to all for the sweet birthday greetings. Inspired by my birthday tributes and with an apology to the late Dr. Seuss I've written a little ode friendship:
Old friends, new friends... Many tried and true friends. Some live near and some live far... Oh, what a lot of friends there are!
I did get a response to my e-card from LINDA, so am satisfied that all is well with her. So glad.
JUDIE, I'm with you--that blasted sandperson caught me just as the DA music started. I'll be catching it sometime this week and am glad it runs over and over again. The program that follows it, featuring a handsome young vicar looks interesting, but comes on too late for this ol' gal. Will look for it to repeat as well.
Good morning Kay and Judie. In the past I have seen recently aired episodes of PBS programs through their website. Very handy when the sand person visits too early.
JO, you're right. I'm watching weather news for NJ and find that my son's home is still in the blizzard path---warning goes for at least 12 more hours.
Well it certainly is comforting to know I am not the only victim of Sandperson stopping by all too early. Will have to reprogram the alarm clock.
Raining now. Jo is correct as weather forecast for my area is the bulk of the storm will be overnight. Have already made a snow removal agreement with a teen down the street.
Wish I could arrange snow removal for the Sycamore Palace. Sigh.
Kay, hope your son will be safe and warm. You made an amazing imitation of Dr. Seuss. Perhaps we should refer to you as Dr. Seussette?
Okay, off to read a few pages in my book. Ha! Just that quick -- rain beginning to turn white.
Good morning! So sorry for your weather in the East! 50 here and sunshiney! Need to get to the grosssserie store but then going to work in the yard. My daffodils are getting quite high now but no blooms yet. Won't be long!
My kitty let me sleep better last night and this morn. She did alternate sleeping between my legs and on my shoulder and neck! Lol
Kay, so glad you heard back from Linda!
Need to bring up the cam! Hate to think of snow on the nest!
Most recent forecast for here--rain today changing to snow at some point this evening accumulating 1-3 inches. I have the appointment with my orthopedic doctor today. Wondering if one of the incisions on my knee might be infected and be the reason for the pain I've had. Tried to get refill on the pain meds and was turned down. Did not know about the doctor's decision until Saturday, so I have not talked with him.
Wondering why someone did not call me. I got my info from the pharmacist.
Pain has not been all that bad, but I sleep better if I take a pill. Asked for a refill and when the automatic message said there was nothing for me, I called the pharmacy. The pharmacist said the doctor did not want to refill the prescription until he had talked with me.
Not like I haven't already been in to see the doctor. A little upset he just laughed about the trip to the emergency room and did not even look at the incisions. Maybe he goofed.
Wow, they are getting excited about this upcoming show. Probably no good reason to get a sub for bowling, but maybe I will have someone available just in case.
Such talk about thunder snow prediction for tonight.
Hunter did wear shorts to school today...and no jacket. I do remember that on one very cold day last winter, I just took a jacket for him with me to the car. He grabbed it and put it on as soon as he saw it. Was probably below 20 degrees that day.
Gosh Shirley. Your doctor sounds as if he leaves much to be desired in terms of patient care. I can sort of understand the hesitation about pain pills but he certainly should have called (or had a nurse call) to explain and absolutely should have taken the reason for the ER visit seriously. Perhaps a few well-timed comments this afternoon?
Headed to my closet to find some socks. Feet are chilly. Moccasins are not enough.
Am at waiting room now. We will see. To my knowledge, this doctor has a good reputation. I haven't had issues before.
Have had experience with a different doctor whose likely incompetence caused me to spend about a week in the hospital with a nasty infection, so I am well aware that it can happen.
We are on the tail end of this storm, but still have a weather advisory until tomorrow morning. We got about 3 inches of fluffy snow last night and today. And still lightly snowing. I had a meeting this afternoon that was canceled. I was planning to make another attempt to pick up some RXs, but will wait until tomorrow. The last time I got out in this type of weather when I didn't really have to, I skidded and fish tailed and nearly went off the highway. Lesson learned. Also lesson learned about internet RX ordering. Evidently I mistakenly ordered the purchase to be delivered to a store that is 45 minutes away. I didn't carefully read the confirmation email. These senior moments are such a joy.
SHIRLEY, sorry you're having so much trouble with the knee, the doctor and the pain reliever you need. Hope you're getting it sorted as at this very moment! Saw a noon weather segment on TV which was filmed at Ohio Wesleyan in Delaware, OH. They are only about 30 minutes north of me, but got about 5 inches of snow. Most students pictured were bundled up in a grandmother approved way, but there were several young men out in shorts and windbreakers with a windchill factor of 7°. Apparently it takes a while for a lot of kids to grow up---some say it doesn't occur til' about age 25. Hang in there! You're nicer than I for I'd not supply an after school wrap in hopes that my grandson would Wake Up! I'm a Grinch, I know.
LYNNE1, glad you're not taking any chances with the icy/snowy road conditions. Hope the pharmacy is able to help you out so that 45 minute trip is unnecessary.
Finished at doctor's. He said pain medication can mask pain they need to know about and that all is well. I'm scheduled for some physical therapy and then will decide on a workout program.
But Shirley, are you satisfied with his comment? I agree that masking pain may hide something more serious but if the pain is interfering with your sleep that is something else. The only time the body heals is when it is asleep.......
Made a one pot cabbage casserole this afternoon. Very easy and think it will stick to some hard working ribs. I used to blanch the cabbage and tear off the leaf one by one and fill it and then roll it up and bake it. Not able to do that any more. This will do nicely!
They are even predicting the possibility of a flake or two my way. My sister, in Maine, is expected to receive more than two feet of snow. Everyone please be careful and do not travel if you do not have to do so.
Turtle Bay eagles are in the nest. More and more nestorations are beginning to start. Won't be long until egg season will be in full swing!
Shirley, glad the doctor explained but still should have given you a knee up regarding the pain relievers. Reason makes sense. Really happy the knee is healing and therapy should be very helpful.
Kay is such an optimist. Grown up at age 25? Huh! Takes most men until eligible for social security.
Okay, going to make a pizza tonight. Have chicken but saving that in case I have to use the grill tomorrow night. Using store-bought dough.
Thinking Jo is correct. Just looked and the egg cup is dark and seems drier.
Suzan, the doctor suggested Benadryl if I have problems sleeping. I have used that before and have a good supply already. Also said it is okay to take over the counter pain meds.
I am willing to try those things and see how they work.
didn't get to get back on during lunch got involved with conversation with others
62° right now here and it is sooooooooo windy yikes blow me down Watching the Fl nest was making us sea sick during lunch and some didn't appreciate the lunch mom was feeding the eaglets I think it was a opossum by the tail
another cold front on way with the rain and winds we got another half inch last night lo will be in 40 in JudyEland don't like it
Yes, looks like new flugg in the nest since I looked this morn. We are through in the yard for today. Trying not to overdo each day. We can do this if we pace ourselves. Can see the end in sight. Yea! It is 72, worked in short sleeves and got a bit warm.
Can understand the doctor and the pain meds and hope over the counter meds help you, Shirley! Not fun!
Oh, phoo-daddle! I just missed our regal eagles. Easy to see where they were sitting, however!
SHIRLEY, I really wasn't trying to second guess you on your providing a coat for Hunter---just being a harda** and I am a bit of a Grinch compared to you with your sweet nature! So glad you had a thorough talk with the doc and hope the new pain regimen will do the trick for you.
Suzan cabbage casserole sounds sooooo good! A doctor once told me, "if everyone would eat a helping of cabbage a day we would see the end of colon cancer." I have no idea if he was right or not, but having lost my sister to that disease, it hit home. I don't eat it daily, but frequently.
I'm bowing out for the day. Haven't even decided what to have for supper, so time to do that, watch the news, Jeopardy and find some TV program that will put me to sleep around 8 ☺. If not TV, then my book, another good Nitol substitute!

Back many years ago, I had a teacher friend who went out a window with her whole class to have a snowball fight in the schoolyard. I would never have had the nerve to do that, but this friend managed to get away with the most outrageous things.
Happy birthday, Kay.
Wahoo!
Love and prayers for all!!!!!

Kay, these cute things 🍏🍦🍭🍒🎂😻🎉and many many more are available on my Apple iPad and phone. I dont use my PC very often anymore and I don't think they are available there..
Good afternoon.
Kay, a very Happy Birthday wish to you!
Linda, hope you pass by here today and see that we miss you and also want to say Happy Birthday to you!
I had to leave the room
LOL
Sandi - I will be checking the
Momster's calendar for Kay's b-day
announcement. I was going by my
Jacquie Lawson address book.
Kay I alawys say KKKatie at work also to a friend of mine and one day I got in sort of trouble (just was told not to write that again) I put up the K cups on the rack and left a now Judy L cart to do KKK cups of course only one person thought the bad thing

My evening enjoyment will be Downton
Abbey at 9:00.
Little wet outside but NOT snow
I'll try to get back later this evening...
We got a inch of rain with this cold front
We have another heading our way again with more rain Sarasota had tornado warnings yesterday That we can do without 55° out now so funny two days ago in shorts and not its chilly and people were dressed in winter attire more that I thought should be in I only wore a light sweater to work
:) Winter attire. I am thinking about what constitutes winter attire in Florida as we wait to see if we're about to be buried in snow in Virginia.
good evening to all.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO KAY!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO LINDA!
its been a busy day. dinner turned out well. everyone ate and enjoyed.
tom finished up the bathtub. he resealed it so hopefully we got the pesky leak handled...again. in a couple of years we will simply have to start to remodel that bathroom.
hope everyone has a pleasant evening. (((hugs))) to all!
Really does look like we're getting rain or mostly rain. Going to be messy regardless.
Sandperson is in serious deep doo doo. Tossed sleepy dust into my eyes so I slept through half of Downton Abbey. I am NOT amused.
Apparently Sandperson has long ago departed. Hope everyone is ready for sleep.
Night light is on. Restful sleep for all.

Cleaned and polished the trailer and returned to it's home. Also mopped some floors after Jack vacuumed, but then I sat down and read between naps today.
Heading to the shower now and to bed!
Night all! SED!
Time for me to say good night. Very late, actually.
SED, everyone.
Goodorming my eagle friends - Monday! Ugghh!!
Gotta check FB to read the latest weather forecasts. Yestrday they were saying HURRY! Get to the store - a blizzard is coming to DE! By last night, all the forecasters were backing away from their predictions.
Have agreat day all!
Good Morning Eagle Buds
OH SANDI your avatar makes me snile So cute
Good morning.
I caught a couple of minutes of our royal couple just now. They both had snow on their backs and the nest looked as though at least one of them had been there a while as no snow showing in the egg cup area.
Good morning to all especially you early birds. ♥
MT snowy nest except I can also see the slightly dry egg cup. Sure hope Belle uses her best judgement when picking her egg laying day. The snow coming down is very very fine and the crazy wind is blowing it all around. Nasty day.
Our giant pandas are enjoying being out in their yard. It is snowing there but not covering the ground yet
Blackwater's nest is snowless.
Incubating those 3 eggs.
Good morning. Thanks for early reports. Same fine snow here Jo. Out with Bella at 4:00AM flakes were large. Looks like a snowy day here.
good morning all. hope everyone enjoys a delightful day!
Good morning.
Well, I cannot describe how happy I am that I prepared for the big NO SNOW! lol Rain with a few white flecks sprinkled in.
Berry nest looks dry. Derek and Savannah still incubating. Our nest with snow except egg cup.
Jo, I will try to check the tv listings to catch up on Downton Abby. Was annoyed with sandperson.
Hi Jerry. Hope your area stays too warm. If not, you and Margy will be busy.
Headed for some coffee and the news.
Everyone stay safe and dry, please and thank you.
Good Morning Eagle Buds!!!
Have a good day all!
Love and prayers....

Weather forecast:
Do not be confused. The bulk of the snow has not happened yet
Oh noooooooooooooooo !
Good morning Kay and Judie. In the past I have seen recently aired episodes of PBS programs through their website. Very handy when the sand person visits too early.
True Dat, Lynne1. Thanks for the reminder!
BBL
Good morning! So sorry for your weather in the East! 50 here and sunshiney! Need to get to the grosssserie store but then going to work in the yard. My daffodils are getting quite high now but no blooms yet. Won't be long!
My kitty let me sleep better last night and this morn. She did alternate sleeping between my legs and on my shoulder and neck! Lol
Kay, so glad you heard back from Linda!
Need to bring up the cam! Hate to think of snow on the nest!
Good morning,
Most recent forecast for here--rain today changing to snow at some point this evening accumulating 1-3 inches. I have the appointment with my
orthopedic doctor today.
Just some thoughts.
Wow, they are getting excited about this upcoming show. Probably no good reason to get a sub for bowling, but maybe I will have someone available just in case.
Such talk about thunder snow prediction for tonight.
That's snow...
Must get out of my pajamas...
Hunter did wear shorts to school today...and no jacket. I do remember that on one very cold day last winter, I just took a jacket for him with me to the car. He grabbed it and put it on as soon as he saw it. Was probably below 20 degrees that day.
This child has so much growing up to do.
BBL
Two eagles in the nest. Nest is more snow-covered except the egg cup.
Both poofed.
Am at waiting room now. We will see. To my knowledge, this doctor has a good reputation. I haven't had issues before.
Have had experience with a different doctor whose likely incompetence caused me to spend about a week in the hospital with a nasty infection, so I am well aware that it can happen.
Do keep those feet warm, Judie.
Hello on lunch 1237 I punched but got to take 24 click longer lunch otherwise I will get ot AND that is a NO NO
We are on the tail end of this storm, but still have a weather advisory until tomorrow morning.
So how warm is it in Florida, Judy?
Tee-hee, JUDIE, Dr. Seussette ☺
Hi Kay,
We were sitting in the driveway getting ready to go somewhere the day I took a jacket to the car, Kay. I had concerns about frostbite.
Hunter scrapes the ice off my car windows in his shorts and tee shirt. Doesn't complain even if I send him back out to do a better job.
OF course the snow has been stopped here for a few hours. Just looked at the nest and I bet I see new flugg on the egg cup
What do you think?
Take care Shirley - thinking of you
But Shirley, are you satisfied with his comment?
Okay, bye.

Suzan, the doctor suggested Benadryl if I have problems sleeping. I have used that before and have a good supply already. Also said it is okay to take over the counter pain meds.
I am willing to try those things and see how they work.
Hello home from work
didn't get to get back on during lunch got involved with conversation with others
Not fun!
Watching the cam and no Eagles!
Do not know what is wrong with my iPad, but I am just getting blank squares, no avatars. Hmmm,????
Also, just realized it says prove your not a robot, but there is nothing there in order to prove! Crazy!

I see the eagle!
just sittin now after moving one stick from 12 to 6
I think waiting for partner to show up

Still time to come back
Oh, phoo-daddle!
Love and prayers for all in need!!!
