Good morning! If I ever get up moving, plan to spend the day in the yard, but first a trip to the nursery to buy some plants. Have some hanging baskets to fix up. Two days of working in the yard and then get ready for more company. Sister, Sharon and hubby Dan are arriving Thursday. He is on an alumni committee at TCU.
It rained 3 tenths of an inch yesterday evening and chance for more this afternoon. Please pray. It is really going to take a lot to break this drought. I can accept that my yard is no longer what it once was...so be it. But, there are towns running out of water...completely out! Something is going to have to be done!!
Thanks to STEVE and PAULA, even if they are in cahoots in the New Thread n' Feather Caper !
I agree with you JO, the eaglet size difference is not just due to hatching a few days apart, but they appear to be male and a female.
HODA, so sweet to read about your delightful time with an old friend !
SANDI, thinking of you and Lisa through the whole transition. I think staying at her house from this point on will be a good thing.
I'm coming off the adrenaline rush I had for the family weekend. Feel a bit down today, but a nap and a Fig Newton will no doubt bring me back to reality !
Rhonda's pups are a blast today ! Can't help smiling when you see their antics !
Earlier in their journey, Luna rolled in some kind of poop. Kathryn first thought deer poop, then decided it might have been bear poop. They cleaned her off the best they could with wet wipes, then got a bucket of soapy water at Tom's parents' house.
Hello one and all been home for a bit Our eagle are in the NHZ most of the day Prez is at 9 this seems to be his area now next to the tree trunk Meteor showers tonight according to my weather man
good Monday evening to one and all!! a new thread! exciting. Thanks STEVE.
its been a good day. work started out slow...I had 2 on the books, but I did a massage favor for someone, a friend who works on me from time to time needed some massage work and she had a no show, so I had her get on my table and returned the favor. hen I came out, found my schedule full!
after work, I ran a couple of errands and picked up Olivia. not sure if she has caught a cold or allergies are just kicking her hiney from hither to yon right now. she was off her allergy meds for a couple of days...physical indications, ie color of mucus is allergies. either way, she Is feeling pretty puny.
I planted 3 tea roses in my front yard this evening. I enlisted tom's help with digging the holes. two pink and a red. I wanted a yellow and a white, but didn't find those. hmmmmm. I think a couple of plants in the big flower bed died over the winter and I am debating what to put in there. not sure on the banana tree yet, but it always comes in late.
sounds like everyone has had a good day. loved hearing of family and friend gatherings over the weekend. smiles smiles smiles.
What a quiet day here. Recovering from the nice holiday I bet!
Once again we have bluebirds nesting in a box. I posted pics of the eggs on my page. Had to laugh as the last thing I posted was the nest from last year.
Hope everyone has a good evening and sleep comes soon and peacefully.
Janet, happy you had a nice day after all. Love tea roses - well, any roses I suppose. Sorry Olivia is not feeling well. Quick recovery wishes for her.
Hmmm. Wondering about Hoda. Maybe Nelson celebrates in high fashion.
Hi Suzan. Ah to see a Bluebird in something other than a picture. Never seen one.
Stopped by to say the Sandperson is already preparing a satchel and will depart soon. Silly Sandperson, when I walked past the closet, he threw sleepy dust on me. May not make it through the news.
Happy Easter Monday Evening to all the Eaglebuds! Thought I got on here earlier, but guess I was just reading. Lovely day today. Went down to the farm office and saw killdeer in the fields and the usual two resident geese pairs at the pond. One gander is real feisty and chases the other if they get too close! Fubby thought that was interesting! I am really ready to look for some flowers for deck pots!!! Need a little time! Waiting to see how the perennials are doing. Only see two starting to come back. Gotta check the dryer and do nails. Pleasant Feather Dreams to All ;>)
WOW what a day at work! I took leftover ham and greenbeans for lunch and had no time to go downstairs to heat them up, or get a fork!! Had to eat cold and with my fingers!
Judie, you just stop by any time, we have LOTS of bluebirds here!
LOWWEEEEDDDDAAAA...please be careful with doing that kind of thing...you know, the things you are NOT supposed to be doing! I NEVER over do things that the Dr says I shouldn't. cough cough LOL!
That goes for JUDY, too.
Uh, where are the pictures to PROVE this alleged BEAR, Shirley? TOO funny about Luna rolling in poop! Puddles likes to do that sort of thing. NOTHING was worse than goose poop, so far.....
Steve claims to have seen a B**R on Skyline Drive. HUMPH.
Regarding the MN nest and duck egg situation...here are my thoughts that I posted on FB...
this could be a catastrophic mess IF that egg actually hatches. I tend to think it will not. The duck herself could have been egg bound meaning the egg wasn't going to come out at all, meaning certain death for her anyway. The egg may not have been fertilized. It may not have been fully developed yet and not even due to be laid and therefore not viable....however.... you never know! BUT, if it does hatch, this duck is going to be up and running in a very short time after hatch, a few hours at best, and they start walking around. If it hatches, it's going to be stuck in the deep nest looking for food that will not be available for a DUCK. It might climb right out and fall. Or the eagles will recognize it as prey. No good ending scenario here....
Lynne 2, now you will be held accountable for me getting almost no sleep! A Meteor Shower!!!!!! How wonderful! You are forgiven!!!
BTW, some (planted, not wild) redbuds were opening at Park last week and dogwoods showing some white. The red/pink dogwood at Chelsea is just starting. I'll be sure to get a pic of that! Our crabapple at home is about to rain petals. When the beautiful, dark pink buds opened after the wind storm days, it seemed really pale this year. Nighty Night!!! **********************************
The osprey nest at your park is crazy. I recorded some actions I saw today and I sure wish there were a moderator on the Social Stream and the Chat....... When I opened it a CROW was alone in the nest with the eggs. He had those eggs rolling up and down on that nest.I can't tell if all are there or not. Momma came back and soon to follow was poppa... Then off again went poppa - when poppa came back and momma was incubating the eggs - he commences to have HP - Could he possibly be a new male - He is banded on his right leg. WELL - I could go on and on but I was just hoping Gregg or someone was also watching.
LYNNNE2, I asked Kathryn about the bear, and she said it was not on the Skyline Drive. It was near Luray. Kathryn said she's seen a bear in that area before. Tom's parents have issues with bears coming around their house, which is on the mountainside just past Luray. So, Lynne, maybe you just need to go to Luray with Kathryn next time.
And, in answer to your question: There are no pictures. You will have to take our word for it!
Well...JUDIE you are BAAAAAD! yes indeed Nelson celebrated in HIGH fashion!!! LOL!!! Yes PAULA 4/20 was observed! Kristin and I left at 8:30 in the morning and came back at six in the evening. You would think we would run out of things to say by now!!! NOPE!!! Still laughing and talking. We had a very good hike we went out for tea, we volunteered, we went to the park for a walk and then we went for lunch and then we went for yoga and then we came to cook supper. It was so very cool because she eats fish and chicken and I do not. She asked if I minded if we got some...ofcourse not so long as she cooks it. So she had chicken for supper with the vegetables I cooked and we both had salad. We bought a lamb something or other for after her hike tomorrow. It is all good. I am sticking to my grain protein and green leaves protein and all is indeed well.
KAY Easter Monday is a Stat Holiday in Canada. Holiday. No work and everyone gets paid. We like to have one long weekend a month and for April it is Easter Monday. We spend time with family and friends.Chill and just have a good time. We do not have to put money in the parking meters either. Those who go to work are entitled to time and a half, as an essential service...so it is all good. May we Celebrate Queen Victoria and we all raise a glass to celebrate the holiday.
Getting on to say good night. We worked in the yard today but not doing what I had planned. We worked on planting our 270 caladium bulbs. It about killed us. Groan....
Rain missed us this evening. Heard only one close thundering boom. It all went north and east of us. Sigh.....
So tomorrow I go and buy plants!!
Tomorrow is Earth Day, my mother's 98th birthday. She's been gone 8 years now.
Okay, gotta get this bod to bed before it falls over!
clarification: april 20 is the anniversary of when we met and have been together since. to me, from where I was at the time, and I won't go into all that old garbage, meeting Tom was one of the very very best things that happened in my life. of course, I didn't know it at the time, I figured he would be like everyone else, there for a time, and gone. but....here we are 19 years later. every day I am so thankful we have each other.
april 24 is the date we legalized our living arrangement, per the state, that is we got married. that is 15 years ago this week. and yes, that is an important date but the 21st is the date I really celebrate.
thank you for all the happy wishes.
I too hope Olivia is feeling more human this morning. I tend to think that maybe there was a bit of drama llama there, could be wrong. not saying she didn't feel well, but I don't know. anyway, we shall see what's what this morning in a bit.
whatever sleepy dust that sandperson used last night must have been extra sleepy because I was knocked out even this morning. I struggled to get out of the bed and I was asleep by 10! hmmmmmm.....
have a lovely day to all! light and love, hugs and smiles!
Redbuds aren't blooming here yet, nor are the dogwoods but soon. They may be blooming inland but we stay a little cooler closer to the ocean.
A duck egg in an eagle nest? How? I'm assuming a duck was brought into the nest for food and the duck had the egg inside, yes? And it's being incubated by the eagles?
Hoda, sounds like you and your friend are having a wonderful time.
Paula, prayers for Larry - chemo day today, right? How long does that take each time?
Got thank you cards written yesterday to those who came to Mom's viewing, mailed her license tags back, closed out a couple of accounts after making the final payments.
I was planning to clean the upstairs today but, since it's supposed to be warm today and cooler tomorrow, and since it's Earth Day, I think I'll get outside and weed the canal end across the street from our house that we adopted a few years ago. All of the shrubs and perennials seem to have survived the winter.
I'm a little concerned about my Japanese maple - I see no sign of leaf buds on it yet. Does anyone know if they are later breaking dormancy than other trees? My crape myrtles are still completely bare but I know they start later in the spring. I hope I'm worrying about nothing but it was planted in memory of Denny's mom and it has gotten so beautiful. I hope this frigid winter didn't do it in.
Good morning to all ♥ I got my 3 drops in my left eye - I have to do this 3x's daily before surgery on Friday and keep it up for about 30 days afterwards. Hubby is a good eye med dropper - I can't do it myself as I miss my eye or blink - one of the two
Sandi, I guess you are on the cool side of the peninsula...all the flowering trees here are out...except dogwoods. Trees just starting to pop this week. I would guess the tree is OK, if your flowering trees haven't bloomed yet.
Yup, Chemo for Larry today...he left at 8 this morning and won't get back till 5 or 6 tonight.
My dogwoods usually are blooming by Easter but not this year. The buds are there and look like they will bust open within the week. I am concerned about my Azaleas out front I have seen others already opened. Mine are the white ones - the pink ones are what I have seen blooming.
Lynne - I have seen along the hgwy the red buds starting to bloom.
Paula - have you watched the Osprey nest down at Loretta's Park? Drama yesterday that I reported but now this morning she is on the eggs - I still don't know how many are still there since the crows visit. I remember BWO one year losing their clutch of eggs to the crows.
Good morning my eagle budlets. I haven't posted in a day or 2. Don't normally even sit down at my computer on weekends. I have been watching our babies. They are plotzed right now. :)
Tom said he saw an eagle soaring at his work and posted a picture on Facebook. I might have to change jobs. :)
My Lyttle Byt is still having a lot of trouble out of his eye. I have had to take him back 3 times, all 3 times they have anesthetized him. The first 2 was cutting out residual stitches that hadn't dissolved yet from the cherry eye surgery. Yesterday, they sewed together his third eyelid and stitched his outside eyelids almost together to give the eyeball time to heal. It has an ulcer on it and they are not sure why. I am so praying he doesn't lose sight in his eye. His first cherry eye surgery was and 3 days later, he looked perfect. I had to get pain meds for him today. :(
Did finally get to see two eaglets in the nest side-by-side. What a treat. Very clear difference in size.
Dogwood blooming here, crepe myrtle still naked, I think Japanese maple we had would have buds by now, light colored azaleas tend to bloom before darker colors.
Shirley, have a good game today. Win, win, win!
Thanks for the T=Bird email warning. I received it also.
Thoughts of Larry today. Hope he feels okay after.
Janet, just put in an order anytime you need extra sleep.
Hoda, have another fun and adventurous day with your friend.
Jo, I have your surgery dates on my calendar. The improvement in vision will be amazing.
I cannot imagine in my wildest planting so many bulbs in one day. That's our Lollypalooza.
Off to de-grime myself then some laundry. One thing about retirement I'm learning is that everything no longer has to be done on the same day. lol
Good morning! A beautiful day here, not to be as humid as yesterday. Yea!
Japanese Maples usually leaf out early. Ours are looking beautiful. We lost all our hostas and a lot of lawn. Also the holly ferns suffered. Trying not to stress over it. ☺
Thinking of Larry and keeping him in prayer as he has his chemo today.
Jo, I haven't been watching Loretta's nest. I remember BWO losing those eggs to crows. Hope they still have all their eggs. Osprey here not on eggs yet.
Sharon, hope Little Byt heals well.
Lolly, sorry to hear you lost all those plants and grass.
Lun Lun is having a blast knocking her babes around. She has gone nuts. I personally think she is getting too rough with them but of course, I am no panda expert.
Love watching our fast growing eaglets, even if we don't often get a full view.
Ooooh, JO, I love chicken pot pies ! My Eileen and my DIL, Beth, both make some that are heavenly delicious. I'm sure the pies your eldest makes are, too. Enjoy !
SHIRLEY, it's looking good for your bowling team. The banquet will be a joyous occasion for you !
SHAR, putting Lyttle Byte back on the Petster prayer list.
PAULA, thinking of Larry as he finishes today's treatment and heads for home.
I'm celebrating Earth Day by picking up trash as I take Penny on a little different route with each outing. Hard to believe how many people just don't get it when it comes to littering. Some near me is done by raccoons, but it's due to human error. How hard is it to slide the door of a dumpster to a closed position ? Arrrgghhh. Pre-Penny and before the back surgery I always carried a trash bag on my walks. I'm vowing to get back to that habit---she doesn't quite understand my frequent stops, but she'll get used to it. I wear a garden glove for the picker upper hand---just don't like handling trash without that.
LOLLY just heard an NPR report on the drought now effecting 70% of the Southwest, which, of course, includes TX.. It will take an unbelievable amount of rain to get back to "normal" in those States.
lol PAULA I can tell that you like Yummy Chicken Pot Pies! Kris make the large pie pans - on FB I like those little ones made with the Dough Boy biscuits shaped in the cup cake tins.
Took a walk and saw that my neighbor's redbud IS blooming. Dogwoods are getting close. I also walked to the house of another neighbor who has a Japanese maple with the same exposure as mine. His has leaf buds starting to open. :( I scraped the bark on ours and it doesn't look green underneath either. I'm not totally giving up hope but I'm not very optimistic that it survived the winter.
I have been watching my hummingbird feeders that I hung last week - the lady who runs the local bird store says to put the feeders out around here on tax day. Still haven't seen any hummers.
My male goldfinches are wearing most of their summer feathers, though! Much easier to follow them in flight than in their drab olive color.
Jo, I am playing tennis on Friday morning - first time in 3 months!
Property owners board meeting at 6pm so I need to hop in the tub and then fix a quick dinner. Later!
Sandi...I need to put out my hummer feeder too. Got the shepherd's hook up to hold it...but haven't done the feeder yet. I haven't seen any in the yard yet.
Crepe myrtles are still dormant, and so is my butterfly bush. My neighbor's redwood is starting to leaf out.
We dug up the azaleas because they were mostly dead--except for one. I don't know if it will do much this year. I would like to do some repair work on the underpinnings of the porch before we plant anything else there.
and I was so surprised that the ones from Marie Calander are so good in the microwave also gets crips Home made is the best but I do frozen ones living by self hard to cook for one at times
This was on facebook and so worth the read MARRIED OR NOT, YOU SHOULD READ THIS ...
“When I got home that night as my wife served dinner, I held her hand and said, I’ve got something to tell you. She sat down and ate quietly. Again I observed the hurt in her eyes.
Suddenly I didn’t know how to open my mouth. But I had to let her know what I was thinking. I want a divorce. I raised the topic calmly. She didn’t seem to be annoyed by my words, instead she asked me softly, why?
I avoided her question. This made her angry. She threw away the chopsticks and shouted at me, you are not a man! That night, we didn’t talk to each other. She was weeping. I knew she wanted to find out what had happened to our marriage. But I could hardly give her a satisfactory answer; she had lost my heart to Jane. I didn’t love her anymore. I just pitied her!
With a deep sense of guilt, I drafted a divorce agreement which stated that she could own our house, our car, and 30% stake of my company. She glanced at it and then tore it into pieces. The woman who had spent ten years of her life with me had become a stranger. I felt sorry for her wasted time, resources and energy but I could not take back what I had said for I loved Jane so dearly. Finally she cried loudly in front of me, which was what I had expected to see. To me her cry was actually a kind of release. The idea of divorce which had obsessed me for several weeks seemed to be firmer and clearer now.
The next day, I came back home very late and found her writing something at the table. I didn’t have supper but went straight to sleep and fell asleep very fast because I was tired after an eventful day with Jane. When I woke up, she was still there at the table writing. I just did not care so I turned over and was asleep again.
In the morning she presented her divorce conditions: she didn’t want anything from me, but needed a month’s notice before the divorce. She requested that in that one month we both struggle to live as normal a life as possible. Her reasons were simple: our son had his exams in a month’s time and she didn’t want to disrupt him with our broken marriage.
This was agreeable to me. But she had something more, she asked me to recall how I had carried her into out bridal room on our wedding day. She requested that every day for the month’s duration I carry her out of our bedroom to the front door ever morning. I thought she was going crazy. Just to make our last days together bearable I accepted her odd request.
I told Jane about my wife’s divorce conditions. . She laughed loudly and thought it was absurd. No matter what tricks she applies, she has to face the divorce, she said scornfully.
My wife and I hadn’t had any body contact since my divorce intention was explicitly expressed. So when I carried her out on the first day, we both appeared clumsy. Our son clapped behind us, daddy is holding mommy in his arms. His words brought me a sense of pain. From the bedroom to the sitting room, then to the door, I walked over ten meters with her in my arms. She closed her eyes and said softly; don’t tell our son about the divorce. I nodded, feeling somewhat upset. I put her down outside the door. She went to wait for the bus to work. I drove alone to the office.
On the second day, both of us acted much more easily. She leaned on my chest. I could smell the fragrance of her blouse. I realized that I hadn’t looked at this woman carefully for a long time. I realized she was not young any more. There were fine wrinkles on her face, her hair was graying! Our marriage had taken its toll on her. For a minute I wondered what I had done to her.
On the fourth day, when I lifted her up, I felt a sense of intimacy returning. This was the woman who had given ten years of her life to me. On the fifth and sixth day, I realized that our sense of intimacy was growing again. I didn’t tell Jane about this. It became easier to carry her as the month slipped by. Perhaps the everyday workout made me stronger.
She was choosing what to wear one morning. She tried on quite a few dresses but could not find a suitable one. Then she sighed, all my dresses have grown bigger. I suddenly realized that she had grown so thin, that was the reason why I could carry her more easily.
Suddenly it hit me… she had buried so much pain and bitterness in her heart. Subconsciously I reached out and touched her head.
Our son came in at the moment and said, Dad, it’s time to carry mom out. To him, seeing his father carrying his mother out had become an essential part of his life. My wife gestured to our son to come closer and hugged him tightly. I turned my face away because I was afraid I might change my mind at this last minute. I then held her in my arms, walking from the bedroom, through the sitting room, to the hallway. Her hand surrounded my neck softly and naturally. I held her body tightly; it was just like our wedding day.
But her much lighter weight made me sad. On the last day, when I held her in my arms I could hardly move a step. Our son had gone to school. I held her tightly and said, I hadn’t noticed that our life lacked intimacy. I drove to office…. jumped out of the car swiftly without locking the door. I was afraid any delay would make me change my mind…I walked upstairs. Jane opened the door and I said to her, Sorry, Jane, I do not want the divorce anymore.
She looked at me, astonished, and then touched my forehead. Do you have a fever? She said. I moved her hand off my head. Sorry, Jane, I said, I won’t divorce. My marriage life was boring probably because she and I didn’t value the details of our lives, not because we didn’t love each other anymore. Now I realize that since I carried her into my home on our wedding day I am supposed to hold her until death do us apart. Jane seemed to suddenly wake up. She gave me a loud slap and then slammed the door and burst into tears. I walked downstairs and drove away. At the floral shop on the way, I ordered a bouquet of flowers for my wife. The salesgirl asked me what to write on the card. I smiled and wrote, I’ll carry you out every morning until death do us apart.
That evening I arrived home, flowers in my hands, a smile on my face, I run up stairs, only to find my wife in the bed -dead. My wife had been fighting CANCER for months and I was so busy with Jane to even notice. She knew that she would die soon and she wanted to save me from the whatever negative reaction from our son, in case we push through with the divorce.— At least, in the eyes of our son—- I’m a loving husband….
The small details of your lives are what really matter in a relationship. It is not the mansion, the car, property, the money in the bank. These create an environment conducive for happiness but cannot give happiness in themselves.
So find time to be your spouse’s friend and do those little things for each other that build intimacy. If you are not in a relationship now, remember this for the second (or third) time around. It's never too late.
If you don’t share this, nothing will happen to you.
If you do, you just might save a marriage. Many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up
***********************************I am free of all secrecy ♥ Blessed Be
********************************* My 13th Great Grandchild is on the way. Baby is measuring 7wks 2 days. We saw the heart fluttering, but couldn't hear it yet. It's just a tiny blob right now, only one cm long. It's our own little Sagittarius bean, due to meet the world December 9th! Love to you Aaron and Valerie ♥
Long story Judy - I have read it before and it really does drive home a strong message - just sorry it was too late for the characters in this one.
Eyes have had my last dose of drops until morning. I will be closing down very soon so I will say Goodnight to all - I am a happy Mema for sure........ ♥
Dear Eagle Buds!!! Hope everyone had a pleasant day. So far here, we have only had about a dozen rain drops! Don't know if more to come or not! Much of Park Staff were out on programs, mostly for Earth Day. Our previously retired, but now part time maintenance fellow took two young naturalists, a truck load full of mulch, digging tools and bluebird boxes on posts. They went to an area where there was a group of teenagers who were to install the houses. Our guy, said he was trying to work w/17 year old boy who had NEVER used a shovel!!!!He dug for about 5 minutes and had to take a break!!!! Sad state of affairs! Our online osprey DID have a 4th egg last Thursday, but looks like some missing or out of view now. Naturalist, Greg, will take boat out there ASAP to check, but had to go to Annapolis today for a talk/show about ospreys. (Over the office osprey cam, could hear people talking and some other noiuses, so Warden Loretta had to mosey down to the ramp!A couple young men were paddling some kind of canoe and must have been loud enough for the mic to catch them. The bird did fly away, but they were upriver a little when I got there, so all was well!) Leaving in PM, saw a whole eagle standing on branch in front of the nest!!! Haven't dwnlded pics, yet, but saw a few branches in front of her. Got redbud pics, too. will have free day TH, so hope to work w/camera. Eyes are ready to close (but not the "mouth"). Luv this group!! ♥♥♥ ☺☺☺ Prayers for Good Health~~~ Pleasant Feather Dreams ;>)
Loretta there is a lot of drama at your Osprey platform - Someone today was at the platform and removed a large stick and seemed to be counting the eggs. If you get time read the Chat remarks and/or the Social Stream There was a crow on the nest messing with the eggs the other day.....
Congratulations to all, Jo. Very, very exciting. So happy for you!
Got a lot of yard work done today. It is beginning to shape up. I'll be glad when all the oak blooms are through. So very messy and yellow pollen everywhere!
Need serious prayers dear friends. It came to our attention last week that Jacob had "something" on the back of his neck. Laurel took him to the doctor today. He has a cyst of some kind right in the middle of the back of his neck. Doctor said he is almost positive it is not cancer. So, he is consulting with a neural pediatric surgeon to see what scans should be done. Then the scans will dictate the removal procedure. Complicating this is Jacob has spinal bifada occulta. (sp?) Scans will reveal if any nerves are involved and is it near the opening in his spinal column. It might be a simple removal or it could involve more serious surgery. Should hear back from the doctor tomorrow. Going to move on this fast. The lump is about two inches wide with a hard marble sized lump in the middle. Laurel will be taking days off for doctor appointments and we will be stepping in to help. Prayers please for a simple removal and of course, no cancer.
Secondly, Monday a vet is coming to their house. Joey is staying home and Bosco Boy will be crossing the Rainbow Bridge. He will be buried in our backyard. It is getting more and more difficult for him to get up. Still eating but sleeps for long periods. He fell this weekend at our house and Joey had to help him up. Bosco was getting a drink from the stream, fell, and could not get up. He is such a big dog and 15 years old.
So much for the Fritz family to deal with right now!
Heading to the shower. Think I have laid it all out. Sad!
God heard our prayers, and by His grace and goodness the cancer had an almost complete response to radiation on the surgical report, chemo will still be needed but this means my prognosis long term is very, very good! We will keep praying and healing, but always great to share good news! Thank you all for your prayers and well wishes- I am continuing to do well a week after surgery, feeling better, less pain, getting stronger. Keep those prayers coming, God is listening!
CONGRATS ON THE NEW GGB JO!! Prayers for an easy pregnancy and delivery and for good health for mom and baby!
Lolly, prayers for the Fritz Family. Geesh, so much to deal with all at once. I know you will keep us posted.
Sandi, if you scratched the bark and it wasn't green, I'm afraid the tree is likely dead. So sorry about that. Still, check with a local grower.
Judy, I've seen that story before. Very compelling.
Anyone is these parts seen the pictures of the osprey who is trying to build a nest on top of a traffic cam on the Bay Bridge? They've taken it down 3 times now and it just keeps coming back...hilarious! They should just put up a platform for him above the camera!
GOOD NEWS....my CTA was just about perfect! NO blockages, not even any plaque in these arteries!! But, still don't know about the shortness of breath, as one more thing is now ruled out....
I won't think about that today. I'll think about that tomorrow, after all, tomorrow IS another day!
JO so very happy for the family Lennox and the founders of this Blessed Family. God keep you all and Congratulations.
Lynne so pleased you have some good medical results. Blessed Be.
LOLLY thank you so much for MINDY'S news. Putting LAUREL and her family in prayers and in the Light. Yes it is a lot and YES they will get through this. Blessed Be that you are there to lend a hand and thank you for letting us know. Prayers for JACOB are underway...
How is LARRY PAULA? He continues to drive himself to and from Chemo? Keeping him in prayer.
Drove to Rossland today in the rain for the hike. We were hardy and went on the trail and walked... Shortly thereafter we hit snow and ice. All three of us said enough of this and turned around to come back. They are much higher than Nelson that snow has not yet cleared their trails. We came down had a cup of tea and drove to the Slocan Valley for lunch in a funky cafe. Food was good. We had Darby with us and she is a dog and we felt we needed to take her for a walk. So off we went in the rain again for a six mile walk. The rain eased off, the sun tried to peek out and we all felt great. Came back to the Lake House where we had tea and cooked supper. All the while laughing and talking.
Tomorrow off to yoga and bicycle riding and a hike and in the evening to an Eco Society fund raiser and discussion...
Fantastic to have a good friend visiting. My friend in Nelson needs a house sitter for three months and we are trying to convince Kristin to come up here and do it. I said I could not do it as it is towards the end of May till End of September. Very nice house. I need to spend time in my own home base. I think it would be great if Kristin did it. She loves Nelson.
Boy, it's really windy at the nest this AM - had to turn the sound down. Hope our eaglets stay hunkered down and don't start flapping those wings! Right now, that's exactly what they're doing.
Jo, congrats on the wonderful news about a new baby for Aaron and Valerie!!!
Lolly, scary about the cyst on Jacob's neck - prayers that the removal is a simple one. Sorry to hear about Bosco.
We opted not to bury Bandit and to have him cremated instead. I'm glad we did - we have a little box with a brass plaque with his name on it sitting on the end table next to his photo & collar.
Lynne, great news about those clean arteries!!
My Jeep is in the shop today for routine maintenance. Cleaning the upstairs is on my agenda.
good morning to all. Wednesday! JO: exciting news! So happy for you and the family!!!! SHIRLEY: yeah! 1st place!!! That is fantastic!! PAULA; continuing to hold you all close in heart and thought for healing and wellness LOLLY: dear friend, many comforting energies, thoughts and love to you and yours. Such tough times….holding you close LYNNE2: Bay bridge? As in the Chesapeake bay bridge tunnel? And great news about your CTA!!! Congrats and wonderful! JUDYE: I have also read that story before, but so glad you reposted it. It is a keeper and a great reminder of keeping what’s important close to you. Another beautiful day here in NASHVILLE. Don’t want to complain, but we need rain. The ground is hard and cracked. It concerns me…. I planted the roses as you know, so yesterday got my drip hose out and situated. I watered other plants too. I bought portulaca for the concrete planters (JUDYE: the long ones mom had out on the back patio). And will buy some more down the road for potted plants. I love those. They are so easy. I trimmed the fig tree back. Good news, it is green. Not dry and brittle, so it survived. Verdict is still ou on the banana tree. I did lose a few plants in the big flower bed, but not sure what I want to replace them with.
I did buy my tomato plants yesterday. I need one more tomato cage. Tom crushed a bunch of them and got rid of them. Hmmmmmm. Okay, so, they are cheap enough. Only need a few . Olivia seems to be a bit better this morning. She is going to school. Me? My client’s wife is having hand surgery for her….so likely not giving any massage today, although I told them I would be on standby til noon in case they get home and he wants a massage. But if I know Nick, he will go straight to work. He is one of the top people in his industry and for good reason. Anyway, enough jabbering I suppose. Hope everyone has a lovely day. I’m going to enjoy it. Some ideas as what to do. I am trying to learn to do some stuff, but not feel the need to do it ALL RIGHT NOW so that I may enjoy my days a bit. Tough lesson. I am working on learning it. Blessed Be. Light and love, hugs and smiles to all. Have a wonderful day!
chicklets snugged together in the egg cup...nice to see them.
Larry did good on chemo yesterday...he is pretty whooped when he is done, but feels better than any other day during the week...it's the meds they give him.
Good morning to all Very very windy Dark clouds to the West but very bright here for now. The storms last evening was a big boomer and down pour of rain - not straight down rain but sideways. There must have been some hail in it from a report of a neighbor a few streets up.
One of our original bloggers from CA. She comments on FB occasionally AnneMarie used to be one of our Early Birds. She would have her hair up in rollers and eating her soft boiled egg while getting ready for work! Best time we had was when she went on a cruise to Alaska and we followed her with the ship's cams and at each port. The joke was her famous 'red dress' and her dancing on the table top. (wink) It is good to remember AnneMarie
Lolly, I am praying for you and Laurel's family concerning Bosco. He will have no pain once he crosses that Rainbow bridge.
On a more serious note, Jacob will be watched over by his Guardian Angels and I am so thankful for Laurel's alertness and getting this taken care of.... I will be saying prayers for all of you.
Couldn't ask for any better news for Mindy. Happy for her and her family.
Good morning! Got the cam up and immediately got Mr. Whirly Twirly Thingy. Just see one eaglet and part of another, no adult.
Going to work in the yard this morning, but then must start getting ready for Sharon and Dan arriving tomorrow afternoon, house straightening, grosssserie shopping, and cooking. Would rather stay outside working.
Laurel should know more this evening about the tests Jacob will have to have before removal of the cyst. I am wondering if the cyst is related to the Spinal Bifida Occulta? Hmmmm???
Jeep is back from the shop - doesn't need any major work - great news. It's 12 1/2 years old, with only 86,000 miles on it, and Denny is dying to buy a new vehicle (even though his van is only a year old, he LOVES new cars). I subscribe to the "as long as it has 4 wheels and gets me from here to there, it's good enough." I also subscribe to "why buy something new 'just because' when what I have is paid for and still works just fine." I AM going to take it back to the shop tomorrow after my nail appointment for some preventative work that the guy said should be done in the next 6 months. That way, I'll feel safer driving it to and from Baltimore for settlement on Mom's condo.
Kay, I think you're right that Belle is trying to provide a wind break for the eaglets. Ordinarily, the adults seem to like the other end of the nest, where we can't see them. What a great Mom she is!
LOLLY I forgot to mention that Terry the one that passed away he was diagnosed with spinal bifida several years ago in his early 40's Had lived with it not knowing he had it found when they did a surgery on his spine for a injury not related to it I will be keeping you and your family close to heart and pray you all to get through this with no issues and a 100% recovery Tell Jacob we have is back we will pray him through this to stay strong
watching the NMB nest and the sound on their cam is so much intense that our speakers in the wind Rain drops on the cam look so funny makes the eagle look odd at times
you know all the years I have been I fl I have never ever seen a hummingbird but they say they are here A gal at work says they are hundreds at FT Desoto park right now but you have to be a member of the 400 club to see them I asked why the club and she said she was referring to the camera lens LOL
so I guess I wouldn't be able to see then with my cam
A whopper of a fish was brought onto the Osprey nest of Loretta's. He flew off with it - she waited and waited and finally flew off. Eggs uncovered - Drama and more Drama
Paula, happy Larry was feeling fairly well. Wish the other days could be the same.
See that Hoda is having another terrific day with her friend.
I agree with you Sandi about the car. However, mine is almost 15 years and once in a while I see a new car and start to drool - maybe an Audi convertible.

Thanks for the new thread.
Another feather in my cap!
Parent on the nest, fluffing the bowl.
chicks really looking fluffy today!
Thanks Steve for the new week thread and thanks, Paula for the call over!
Paula, I'm beginning to think Steve emails you about 5 minutes before he starts a new thread!! ;)
TTFN!
LOL Sandi...
Enjoy your do nothing day!
Looks like Belle on the nest this morning...she is preening
Good morning to all ♥
Sandi I agree with you about Paula and all this feather snatching to do.
I think there are a lot of sleep-in's this morning. I hope the busy Easter day is the reason.
Hoda you are having a glorious time with your friend. Enjoy to the fullest.
No plans today - I am going to have another 'do nothing' day also
Side by side you can really see the size difference. We must have a female Prez and a male Capt. lol
They are starting to darken in their color. So happy when they come down into the nest out of that NHZ
My Manners:
Thank you Steve for this fresh Monday thread. I hope your Easter vacation was enjoyable
Parent on nest doing major digging and flugging around...think it's Shep :)
Chicklets at the 10 spot.
I see a foot at that spot, Paula.
Good Afternoon, Eagle Buds !!!
Oh, and HODA, I notice Easter Monday (Canada) on my calendar. Is it a national holiday. If so, are there special things one does on Easter Monday ?
LOLLY, I will help you pray for rain !
Good afternoon.
Thank you Steve for the new thread and Paula for the call over.
Hmmmm. A Steve/Paula collusion? Well, that would explain Paula's feather collection.
Hoda, wishing you and Kristin another day of smiles and laughter.
Kathryn and Hunter saw a "you know what" and "you know who" is jealous. Where was the "you know what" spotted?
Shirley, so nice you have a new outfit and one that can be used for more than one occasion.
Good decision Sandi.
Lolly, doing a mental rain dance for you.
Jo, yes, I slept late then read the paper, sipped my coffee. Was tired this morning.

Wahoo ! This is good news via flash from Washington Post re: The Boston Marathon:
"For the first time in more than three decades, an American won the Marathon. Meb Keflezighi finished with an unofficial time of 2:08:37."
Kids must be in the NHZ...
Somewhere along the Skyline Drive, the BEAR appeared. Judie. Kathryn said it was just standing there by the roadside watching cars going by.
Searching Searching Can't be seen
Most of the other eagle nests have an adult providing shade for their eaglets.
Loretta's female osprey just did a very nice egg roll.
I think Belle just flew in at the 2:00 position
Earlier in their journey, Luna rolled in some kind of poop. Kathryn first thought deer poop, then decided it might have been bear poop. They cleaned her off the best they could with wet wipes, then got a bucket of soapy water at Tom's parents' house.
Luna does love to roll in stinky stuff.
Belle did fly in but she disappeared too!
Hello on lunch and find a brand spanking new thread
THANKS FOR THE NEW THREAD STEVE
Haven't read back at all will do now
I see adult shadow in NEZ
watching the MNB nest they zoom in on he three little one so fuzzy and cute trying to see if the eagleuck egg is in the nest still
funny that is where we saw bear cubs on Skyline Drive years ago
anyone else watch NMBound nest
sounds like a ultrasound of sorts Odd noises beside lots of bird calls and back up beeping of machinery
Haven't watched the Minnesota nest, thought I did look at the video. I will be checking on it now.
Shirley, be thankful for small blessings such as not having to wipe/bathe Luna. Nasty.
Early dinner tonight. Darth has a meeting. Tilapia Piccata with salad. Easy.
Watching First 48 on A&E. Some I watched through closed eyelids.
Kay, hope Hoda tells us what Canadians do on Easter Monday. Perhaps it is a brownie indulgence day. Also pleased an American won the Boston Marathon.
HA HA, WONDER IF THEY CELEBRATED 4/20 IN NELSON??? HODA???
Aha...can barely see an eaglet at the 10 spot
Stretched out...enjoying the sunshine. Sun is out here too, but it's kinda breezy.
No baseball practice this week. Game on Saturday.

good Monday evening to one and all!! a new thread!
I wanted a yellow and a white, but didn't find those. hmmmmm. I think a couple of plants in the big flower bed died over the winter and I am debating what to put in there. not sure on the banana tree yet, but it always comes in late.
sounds like everyone has had a good day. loved hearing of family and friend gatherings over the weekend. smiles smiles smiles.
good night to all!!!! SED!
Good evening!
And Jo, breathe deep and clear.
Good evening.
Night light is on. Restful sleep for all.
Pleasant Feather Dreams to All ;>)
evening folks!
WOW what a day at work! I took leftover ham and greenbeans for lunch and had no time to go downstairs to heat them up, or get a fork!! Had to eat cold and with my fingers!
Lyrid meteor shower tonight, best views from midnight til just before dawn, look easterly. Est. 10-20 per hour.
Thanks for the Redbud update Paula! I saw one here, too, on the way home this evening that was just starting to bud!
Now for the sweet song of the Wood Thrush to come back!
Happy Anniversary of meeting Tom, Janet!
HUMPH.
Hello & good evening again!
News Flash~~~~Just realized that TU, 4-22 is Earth Day!!
Found my green "Great Outdoors" commemorative shirt to wear tomorrow!
Have an enjoyable Tuesday!
No good ending scenario here....
well I must get to bed, good night and prayers for all!

The osprey nest at your park is
crazy.
WELL - I could go on and on but I was just hoping Gregg
or someone was also watching.
Prayers for all of you and your loved ones.
Tomorrow is Earth Day - wishing each of you to do your part for our good ole' earth - no matter how small you think it is what you do.

Good evening,
LYNNNE2, I asked Kathryn about the bear, and she said it was not on the Skyline Drive.
I really hope that duck egg doesn't hatch.
Time for me to say good night. SED, everyone. I will see you tomorrow.
Good night and God Bless Us All.
I will write after we come back from Red Mountain in a little town called Rossland.
Stay well and be safe everyone.
Night all! SED!!
good morning to all.
clarification: april 20 is the anniversary of when we met and have been together since. to me, from where I was at the time, and I won't go into all that old garbage, meeting Tom was one of the very very best things that happened in my life. of course, I didn't know it at the time, I figured he would be like everyone else, there for a time, and gone. but....here we are 19 years later. every day I am so thankful we have each other.
april 24 is the date we legalized our living arrangement, per the state, that is we got married. that is 15 years ago this week. and yes, that is an important date but the 21st is the date I really celebrate.
thank you for all the happy wishes.
GOOD MORNING EAGLE BUDS
FYI I got a email that looks suspicious from THELMA and bunch of peeps from eaglemomsters are on it as well as EM
Goodorming my eagle friends.
Have a great day all.

Good morning,
Getting ready to head out to bowl.
I see one of our eaglets at the 9:00 spot.
Sandi, my Japanese maples have leafed out. Maybe you should call a nursery and ask. Your climate would be a bit different.
I think Japanese maples are pretty hardy.

Morning, all.
Can see an eaglet at the 10 spot...
Good morning to all ♥

Sandi, I guess you are on the cool side of the peninsula...all the flowering trees here are out...except dogwoods. Trees just starting to pop this week. I would guess the tree is OK, if your flowering trees haven't bloomed yet.
Yup, Chemo for Larry today...he left at 8 this morning and won't get back till 5 or 6 tonight.
Oh Jo, forgot about your surgery! I'm sure it will go just as planned!
I think it is really amazing about the duck egg being uncovered so to speak. I doubt it will hatch.
My dogwoods usually are blooming by Easter but not this year. The buds are there and look like they will bust open within the week. I am concerned about my Azaleas out front
I have seen others already opened.
Mine are the white ones - the pink ones are what I have seen blooming.
Lynne - I have seen along the hgwy the red buds starting to bloom.
Paula - have you watched the Osprey nest down at Loretta's Park? Drama yesterday that I reported but now this morning she is on the eggs -
I still don't know how many are still there since the crows visit. I remember BWO one year losing their clutch of eggs to the crows.

Sandi - Earth day is a good day to clear the weeds. Enjoy the sunshine -
I really thought you were going to say you were going to play some tennis.
Today, Earth Day, is also the actual date of my son's birthday - 50 yrs.

I hope everyone is well and I haven't missed anything major.
I LOVE US!
Good morning.
One thing about retirement I'm learning is that everything no longer has to be done on the same day. lol
HAPPY EARTH DAY (:
Shar hope Lyttle Byt will now be all better.
Need to get busy! Later Gators!
2 eaglets snugged up at th 9 spot. They have that nice gray down coat now.
Wowser! Seeing two babes twice in one day is a serious treat for me. Happy Dance.
Lolly, sorry about so much loss. Still, so many bulbs in one day. Hope more plants recover than you expect.
Hi Paula.
Lun Lun is having a blast knocking her babes around. She has gone nuts. I personally think she is getting too rough with them but of course, I am no panda expert.
Belle was in the cup with the kids, looks like Shep just landed. Not sure if he brought vittles or not.
Shep took off. Can only see the chicks plotzed in the cup.
Hi,
Back from bowling. We won two and lost two, but should still be in first place. Next week is the last of the season. Then the banquet.
I see an adult in the nest now.
My white dogwood is in full bloom. The pink one is not quite there yet.
Looks like brunch at the nest.
Raining here.
Check out Google today.
Congratulations Shirley and to the team. First place - can't get better than that.
HELLO on lunch need to go read now
Sharon, I hope Lyttle Byt recovers quickly.
I saw a few raindrops earlier.
Adult eagle wings flapping and it looks like a take-off followed by a fly-over.
check out google today
Red Letter Day for me. Seen the babes each time I check. So nice to see them and the darker feathers.
Sprinkles gone here, Shirley.
I just finished watching my favorite
NEW TRICKS
Then I got my second set of eye drops
Oldest daughter called and is putting her chicken Pot Pies in the oven and is bringing one down and will join us for dinner.
Looks like a feeding from the NHZ
Oh yummy...chicken pot pies....
Oh yummy...chicken pot pies....
Good Afternoon Eagle Buds !!!
Kris make the large pie pans - on FB I like those little ones made with the
Dough Boy biscuits shaped in the cup cake tins.
In from weeding - canal end looks much better!
Later!
CONGRATULATIONS CYCLONE SHIRLEY
MAY YOUR TEAM ENJOY THEIR SUCCESS
& THAT YOU BRING HOME THE GOLD ♥
Sandi...I need to put out my hummer feeder too. Got the shepherd's hook up to hold it...but haven't done the feeder yet. I haven't seen any in the yard yet.
Thank you, Jo. I hope that I can someday earn that name.
I think I have sound. If not, there is some serious static on my system.
It does seem that spring has finally arrived.

This was on facebook and so worth the read
MARRIED OR NOT, YOU SHOULD READ THIS ...
Many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up
was so long had to do in three
oops should have left off thelast part of the sharing which is stupid
Very touching story, Judy.
All looks okay at the nest. Looks like Shep and he's moving his wings in an unusual way. But may be just trying to corral the kids.
Huge dinner bonanza tonight. Hamburgers. Whoopee.
Sandperson is on probation. Just threw sleepy dust at me again. Just laughed - apparently there is a Sandperson union.
So, Sandperson will be departing soon with a huge satchel of sleepy dust.
Night light is on. Restful sleep for all.

My 13th Great Grandchild is on the way. Baby is measuring 7wks 2 days. We saw the heart fluttering, but couldn't hear it yet. It's just a tiny blob right now, only one cm long. It's our own little Sagittarius bean, due to meet the world December 9th!
Love to you Aaron and Valerie ♥
Long story Judy - I have read it before and it really does drive home
a strong message - just sorry it was
too late for the characters in this one.
Eyes have had my last dose of drops until morning.
I will be closing down very soon so
I will say
Goodnight to all - I am a happy Mema
for sure........ ♥
Hallelujah Jo!

Golly Neds: {Who is Ned anyway ??]

Congratulations, Jo. Yes, early December is an okay time for a birthday.
Oh, that Sandperson, Judie. Need to make sure that one does not get out of control.
I think Sandperson has already been here. I am getting sleepy. Did not sleep much last night.
SED, everyone.
Good night, precious Margy.
The bird did fly away, but they were upriver a little when I got there, so all was well!)
Leaving in PM, saw a whole eagle standing on branch in front of the nest!!! Haven't dwnlded pics, yet, but saw a few branches in front of her. Got redbud pics, too. will have free day TH, so hope to work w/camera.
Eyes are ready to close (but not the "mouth").
Luv this group!! ♥♥♥ ☺☺☺
Prayers for Good Health~~~
Pleasant Feather Dreams ;>)
Loretta there is a lot of drama at your Osprey platform - Someone today
was at the platform and removed a large stick and seemed to be counting
the eggs. If you get time read the Chat remarks and/or the Social Stream
There was a crow on the nest messing
with the eggs the other day.....
Let me know what you think.
Jo...congrats to Aaron and Valerie. Dec 9 is a great. Day for a bd...it is my son John's.
No rain here tonight. Supposed to be very windy tomorrow.
Sad!
Night all! SED
Had to come back with this from Mindy....

Late for me!
GREAT NEWS Lolly!
Had our first T'storm of the season this evening! Now it is windy as all get out!
Must get to bed. I have so much NOTHING TO DO TOMORROW!!! WOOOT!
Good night, prayers for all!
Goodnight
God Bless us all.
Goodorming my eagle friends.
Have a great day all.
Good Morning Eagle Buds
and JO congratulations on the upcoming birth of a new babe Yeah
I see both eaglets in the cup snoozing
good morning to all. Wednesday!
JO: exciting news! So happy for you and the family!!!!
SHIRLEY: yeah! 1st place!!! That is fantastic!!
PAULA; continuing to hold you all close in heart and thought for healing and wellness
LOLLY: dear friend, many comforting energies, thoughts and love to you and yours. Such tough times….holding you close
LYNNE2: Bay bridge?
Morning, all.
chicklets snugged together in the egg cup...nice to see them.
Larry did good on chemo yesterday...he is pretty whooped when he is done, but feels better than any other day during the week...it's the meds they give him.
Janet - nest at Chesapeake Bay bridge...not the tunnel.
Lynne2, Craig Koppie is supposed to build the birds a new platform near the traffic camera.
Good morning,
I see our flopped eaglets kind of near the center of the nest. They are quite grey now.
I hear the wind there.
Good morning to all Very very windy
Dark clouds to the West but very bright here for now. The storms last
evening was a big boomer and down
pour of rain - not straight down rain but sideways. There must have
been some hail in it from a report of a neighbor a few streets up.
Happy Happy Birthday AnneMarie
One of our original bloggers from CA. She comments on FB occasionally
AnneMarie used to be one of our Early Birds.
On a more serious note, Jacob will
be watched over by his Guardian Angels and I am so thankful for Laurel's alertness and getting this taken care of.... I will be saying prayers for all of you.
Couldn't ask for any better news for Mindy. Happy for her and her family.
It is great to see both Prez and Capt snuggled together in this wind.
Feathers are greying and it is easier to spot them.
Parent in the nest
Paula does it look like Shep
Good morning! Got the cam up and immediately got Mr. Whirly Twirly Thingy. Just see one eaglet and part of another, no adult.
Going to work in the yard this morning, but then must start getting ready for Sharon and Dan arriving tomorrow afternoon, house straightening, grosssserie shopping, and cooking. Would rather stay outside working.
Laurel should know more this evening about the tests Jacob will have to have before removal of the cyst. I am wondering if the cyst is related to the Spinal Bifida Occulta? Hmmmm???
Good morning Lolly - it is soooo
windy here and the rain we had last
evening, we sure could have shared it
with you....
Prayers for all......... ♥
Good Morning Eagle Buds !!!
The daily changes in our eaglets is an amazing thing. Sure hope they begin to like "our" side of the nest soon !
Love reading the great news, as in,
JO's upcoming Christmas gift--another bundle of joy for the family !
LYNNE2's medical report, so far, SO GOOD !
LOLLY's encouraging Mindy news !
PAULA's assurance the Larry did okay with yesterdays chemo.
Not so good and certainly on my prayer list are LOLLY's dear Fritz family as they weather a rough patch with Jacob's cyst and Bosco's passing.
JO, I loved reading about ANNEMARIE and wish her a happy day, too. Wish I'd been in on that Alaskan trip--what fun !
Belle returs and Prez comes forward to greet her--or to beg for a meal !
Looks like she's trying to find the best way to provide a wind break for her chicks. Quite the breeze a'blowin' !
Adult and two eaglets visible. Wind continues.
Twirly thing going.
Saw my first hummingbird this morning - a male!!
TTFN.
Happy the Hummers are return to your feeder, Sandi
Hello on lunch at MCD naturally
need to go read back
LOLLY I forgot to mention that Terry the one that passed away he was diagnosed with spinal bifida several years ago in his early 40's
Had lived with it not knowing he had it found when they did a surgery on his spine for a injury not related to it
I will be keeping you and your family close to heart and pray you all to get through this with no issues and a 100% recovery
Tell Jacob we have is back we will pray him through this to stay strong
PAULA is there something that they can give LARRY ahead of the meds to help
watching the NMB nest and the sound on their cam is so much intense that our speakers in the wind Rain drops on the cam look so funny makes the eagle look odd at times
SANDI I agree with you on why by new vehicle when the old is fine
our little ones are off to the side of the nest as always at 9 I see one and maybe the other one behind him
you know all the years I have been I fl I have never ever seen a hummingbird but they say they are here A gal at work says they are hundreds at FT Desoto park right now but you have to be a member of the 400 club to see them I asked why the club and she said she was referring to the camera lens LOL
so I guess I wouldn't be able to see then with my cam
Thinking of Jacob, Lolly.
So happy that you are having such a nice visit with your friend, Hoda.
Hoping all of the chemo and radiation continues to be well-tolerated by Larry, Paula.
Alarm calls.
I see one adult and eaglets--one or two. Not sure.
Have you tried putting out a hummingbird feeder and planting flowers that will attract them, Judy? You might get a nice surprise.
Just signing back onto our cam and had a scare that it was down. Took me
several attempts to get it up/running. Still cam is ok.
Trying to get rid of my ads on all my U-stream cams. I haven't found the right button yet! lol
A whopper of a fish was brought onto the Osprey nest of Loretta's. He flew off with it - she waited and waited and finally flew off. Eggs uncovered - Drama and more Drama
Chicks are laying in the nest...one head up, the other head down, LOL
Lolly, hoping the surgery for Joseph is quick and easy and it is just a cyst!
Good late afternoon all.
Had a busy day. Anyone else ever thought "I'll just clean that one little spot..." and then end up cleaning everyone?
Lolly, prayers for Jacob. I know you and the family are worried. Also sad about Bosco. All will be okay. Thank you for the Mindy update. Good news.
Jo, so happy for the Family Lennox. Were the pot pies super tasty?
Babes side-by-side. So cute.
Sunshine here but fierce winds.
BWO has an osprey egg! Today!
