Oh, I had a nice time at bridge. No, I did not win. But we had some delightful wine and some excellent brownies.
CTA is sort of a virtual angiogram. Helps locate problem areas. Mine would show precise locations of blockages. Makes an actual procedure more accurate.
It is amazing to realize Gianni is four years old. Seems only days ago we were all waiting with Paula for the little one to arrive.

I see Easter plans are starting to form for some. Mom, kids & grandkids coming here Sunday. Doesn't happen often, so happy to have them all here.
Bonus day yesterday - 2 eagles hereabouts.
The Rubicon River runs thru our little town, a bend of it 4 houses down at the end of our street. And just down the road is Pike Lake. That is where we saw the first eagle as we headed to my in - laws on the family farm. A small river runs thru the farm to a small lake and that is where we saw the second eagle. So exciting. Now I know where to take my camera.

Hi all - I am happy!! My spring break has started!! YAY - I am retired for the next 10 days!
I DID end up being the ELA teacher on the team today - no sub - but the kids were very well-behaved, especially for the day before their break.
We will be heading to Baltimore early tomorrow - I am hoping to get some paperwork to the Register of Wills before they close and then get some more paperwork to the bank where Mom has a small account so I can close it out (Mom neglected to put my name or Lisa's name on the account so we have some hoops to jump through before they will give us the money in the account).
Headed out to dinner with friends this evening.
I will check in tomorrow morning before we get on the road. Later!

Funny thing--you know how cats do that staring thing? George has been bugging me for extra food. Sits and stares at me. I stared back at him and he kept looking away. Then he left and is now sleeping at the foot of the bed. I've seen that work with dogs before, but had not tried it with a cat.

Test went fine. The CTA itself only lasted for 10 minutes. The prep and aftercare took MUCH longer! I will not have results until next week sometime, but they would have kept me had there been any imminent danger found.
I had a meltdown this morning because I woke up scared to death that they would find something wrong and have to keep me, and I hadn't even considered that until THAT MOMENT as I was waking up. I freaked out! I had no plan in place in the event that had happened. But all was well!
I have seen many Throwback Thursday Easter pictures on Facebook from many people, including some from our group and it has been such fun looking at them! I love looking at old pictures!
Turns out Wanda is my mother, Shirley is my teacher and Lolly is my babysitter!
Need to get to bed...must get all chores and errands done tomorrow, MIL coming Saturday and Sunday so I want free time for visiting! So glad we are closed tomorrow for Good Friday!
And today makes one week WHEAT FREE!!! Didn't even cave when one of our clients brought some Easter cookies! I have noticed that I am sleeping really well, not much stuffy night nose! Have not weighed in....but I sure feel less bloated! It's been pretty easy to give it up so far!

Am glad you all like the painting. My neighbor asks me how do I do that. Shoot, I don't know. I just always have. I think she will like it. I have a few touch ups to do,details mostly. Hope to get it mailed next week.
I have to admit, since I have taken/made time to do more of that sort of stuff, painting, cross stitch, reading, and going to see Tuatha Dea (of course that goes in there, lol), mentally I feel so much better. Less stress.

Judie, the prep was questions, more questions, repeat questions and paperwork. IV placement, vitals monitored. Second part of the test was when they sprayed the nitroglycerin under my tongue and then injected the dye into the IV. I thought I would burn up right then and there! I just felt a bit weird for about a half hour afterwards.
Sandi, MIL house not on the market. They took it off over the winter. They were to put it back on first of April. HA HA HA! No such luck as we are now back to LOOK HOW MUCH NEEDS TO BE DONE BEFORE WE CAN LIST IT. GGRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!! Craziness!!! They had to have a window replace and a crack in the ceiling repair and now she is talking backsplash behind the sink, repainting this and replacing that and the yard is messy from winter and this bush needs to come out and that tree needs to be pruned.....OMG!!!! The house is gorgeous! It is in fantastic shape! She puts everything under the microscope and it drives me crazy! I really don't understand.....sigh. They had the worst winter, for them at least as physical abilities due to age are compounding. I just want to scream JUST LIST IT!!! It's so frustrating. They have already decided if it doesn't sell by late fall, they'll winterize it go south for a couple of months.

Gave up on the pharmacy. Called doctor's office. It seems that they faxed an order on the 15th. Somehow it got lost. They are going to call the pharmacy this time.
It is good that I have emergency pills. The doctor's office also said that they have a supply of samples they could give me if necessary. Just hope this time things are taken care of.

Yeah, Jo. I told the doctor's office I had been trying for a week and a half, and I did get attention. It looks like the communication between the doctor and the pharmacy broke down somewhere. Anyway, it is now waiting for me at the store. Part of me says I should rush over there and claim it, but it may be tomorrow before I do that. I need to get Hunter to a baseball game tonight.

Goodorming my eagle friends. Sounds like lots of people had productive days yesterday.
I did as well, though more than a little stressful. I had filled out something called a small estate pkg. online before leaving home. Since Mom's account didn't have Lisa's name or mine on it, the bank would not tell me exactly how much was in it, and the young lady there said the exact amount wasn't necessary to get the letter I needed from the courthouse appointing me as personal representative (even though I already AM Mom's personal rep. via her will and Howard Co. has her will on file!!) So I estimated $1500, based on my recollection from the last time I deposited a check for Mom, just a few days before she died.
Got to the courthouse at 3pm (they closed at 4:30). When the young man saw the amount I listed in the account, he asked if it was an exact amount and I told him what the young lady at the bank said. He said, "not good enough." He processed the rest of the information I had entered on the small estate package ahead of time, issued me a "letter of administration" that gave the bank permission to print a statement for me with the exact amount in the account, and said I had to take the letter to the bank, get the statement, and return to the courthouse so he could give me another letter of administration with the exact amount on it and the authorization to close the account. I asked if he could just fax the first letter to the bank and he said no, b/c the letter had a raised seal that the bank teller needed to see. Good grief!!
I left the courthouse at 3:30 and the closest BB&T branch was 15 minutes away. We drove like maniacs to the bank so the young lady could print a statement that said the account had $1501.02 in it (keep in mind I had estimated $1500). Then we drove like maniacs BACK to the courthouse and arrived there at 4:10 so I could get the 2nd letter that I needed to close the account.
I finally walked out of the BB&T branch with a check at about 5pm. Can you say bureaucratic bullshit???? Pardon my French!
Here's my advice to all of you based on my experience yesterday. If you have children, do them a favor and have at least one child's name on every single account you own (unless, of course, you can't trust your children not to steal your money). You will make their lives easier when you're gone! I will be doing that with Kevin while I'm off from school this week.
Today is "sorting day" for Lisa and me - no more delaying it. Part of me is dreading it, part of me just wants to get it done.

Sandi, I think things are moving extremely quickly concerning your Mom's estate. Different state laws and circumstances aside, my Mom died over two years ago and I just heard from the lawyer that everything should be settled within 30 days. And she had everything in order and no complicated situations. I hope your dealings yesterday are the worst problem you have.

right along the mighty Potomac River in Shepherdstown and see Bald Eagles quite often....
during last week, a Golden Eagle flew in and perched on a large sycamore in front of the property....
They have two small shih-tzus, and
made absolutely sure they were with those pups at every second....
Adam, the guy....said this Eagle looked twice as large as a Bald

I see at least one eaglet in the nest. Kind of hard to figure out the whole picture.
Decided to stay home today. I need to get that prescription filled, practice bowling, and get the house tidied up a bit. I'm still recovering from being so cold last night.
The game is next to an airport where they do skydiving, and Coach Don told me he'd already made arrangements for me to jump out of a plane while we're there, minus the parachute. Hmm, do not think Don has anything against me. Wonder if he will think he scared me away?
(Earlier, I gave Don a hard time because he made a remark about the boys not wanting to be called girls in relation to their ability to play well. I informed him he'd better watch how he talks about girls.)

And, Coach Don will need to watch what he says about girls considering that some of the teams in this league have girl players, and I hear that they are excellent players.

Lynne, should I be hiring a lawyer to settle my mom's estate? I really didn't think that was necessary. Two years to get things settled? I was thinking more like 2 months, hold back $5k - $10k to cover any unexpected expenses and disburse the rest to my boys, Lisa for her children (who are still too young to get the money themselves), and my brother's 3 children. Am I missing something?

Darth's aunt put only her son's name on an account (may have been a CD or checking). When she died, he closed the account and kept all the money. Put every child's name (beneficiary) so that all of them have to be present to close the account.

You are correct, Shirley. There is unrelenting anger and resentment among the three siblings. They do not communicate. He could not have closed the account and taken the money if all three had been named and, therefore, required to be present.

No, Will and Susan are beneficiaries. The lawyer just suggested that they should be have extra consideration until they were old enough to have established themselves.
We do not expect that their father will do anything for them.
When my mother died, I think my name was on the account. Not sure at this point. I was in the middle of divorce and we had to be careful to protect everyone's interests. It got a bit complicated, but we survived it.

Well I told my boss or one of the many boss we have this morning when I went to work that I will not being doing what they had me do last week I knew with my past history my limitation that it would bother my neck But they insisted of just try it this week Well the week came and gone and now I hurt and I should have to hurt on a daily basis now that I can't do what I have done in the past With our inventory being bad again this year They want only dept mgr to do price changes etc Well that is what I have always done but not any more
My restrictions if you recall is 20lb push pull or pickup and nothing over the head and shoulders Well when you put lots of small boxes on a cart that will be more that 20lbs I tried last week just to do the small boxes and the repetition of stocking which is also listed as a limitation That killed me I know that they don't give a damn but I have to look after ME and I am not going to go around hurting I told them this am what I was going to do Rollbacks , deleting list etc and that would keep me busy Well no one argued with me I know they are furious with me but IT IS TWO workman comp past injuries and they are just gonna have to accept my limitation like they have in the past
